everybody. Welcome back.
This is Alex from unwrap sports here to break down Thursday Night Football for the NFL. Week 15.
What a game it was.
I am a avid sports bettor.
Haven't really been potent putting it on my content for streams.
Um, but Ravens covering the spread was on my parlay this week.
I was a little hesitant about that.
You can see by the score above, you know they want.
They got this victory 40 to 21 handled business, and, ah, definitely made betters look smart.
But for the Ravens officially clinched the NFC North title, leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers and Browns on the outside looking in and on the side where they're going to be facing them.
They're gonna be fighting for the NFC wild card spot.
Lamar Jackson is the M V p of the NFL.
I don't think there's very much you can say that would just that would, you know, just regard that as a fact.
I think he's done everything and his ability to to be a great passer and also a great runner.
Ah, he had 23 throws, five touchdowns, um, from our semipro USN Cory from Unwrap Sports network had said that prior to the season, his over under passing touchdowns were 15 which obviously now that looks insane, that that would be the case.
But I think a lot of people really discounted his passing ability, ability and his ability to better himself as a passer.
And he has 28 passing touchdowns through the air this year and definitely a lot has to be given credit to Lamar Jackson putting in work on his craft.
His passing ability has definitely improved.
He really just Rockets.
The ball in there really puts touch when he needs to.
You know he misses throws just like any other quarterback.
But I think he is by far the best quarterback this season in terms of production and in terms of ability to affect the game.
His dual threat ability of being able to run and pass and being able to throw on the run is kind of what made my home so dangerous last season when defense's were so unaware about his abilities and now Lamar Jackson is having that same effect because if you really think about it, a lot of teams, probably in the first couple of games.
We're probably just gearing up for him.
Running the ball didn't really expect him to throw the ball.
I know he faced the Miami Dolphins, who, as far as we're as we all know, you know, for the first half of the season, where a Dumpster fire.
But, you know, he definitely made a lot of great throws in that game.
Regardless of the defense, you know, you still got to be able to make the throw as we've seen with Dwayne Haskins.
Even when you have a clean pocket and you throw it, it's not.
Accuracy isn't always there, but Lamar Jackson has vastly improved himself.
Put himself in a great position and, uh, leading to my next topic.
Lamar passes Vic in rushing yards in a season.
Hey, that he did that.
I believe in this first quarter.
Got the second quarter latest, very impressive for him to do that and also still excel to the air.
You know, this season, I know a lot of people will talk about his fancy stats, but as a dynamic threat on the field, he's really getting the Baltimore Ravens a huge, huge, huge, huge, huge upside compared to other offices.
You know, obviously, you know, we all know Holmes had that knee injury.
Ah, fetches mobility winnings to being cold.
Not really sure.
Um, you know how that's really affected.
I haven't really paid that much attention to him on that on his mobility, but for Lamar Jackson, you know, I think they're poised to really make Super Bowl run.
No, Earl Thomas was very confident in saying that they would be in the Super Bowl, and I am not upset at that.
I you know, sometimes it's very easy to pick apart a player when they make statements like that.
But I think when you really break it down, this team is so complete.
You know that pickup of getting Marcus Peters the sea, all the additions they've made through the draft? You know, Mark Andrews was a homegrown talent.
Lamar Jackson is a homegrown town.
Hey, books, Mom.
Zero h I, uh, zero.
But thanks for joining broadcast.
And you know this team, you know, marquees brown.
They even said, Ah, the coaching staff so that he hasn't even been able to really show his speed because of all his nagging injuries and I think that in itself is impressive.
He's a smaller receiver, so you know, injuries are always a question in the possibility of knocking him out of the game.
But he's been very much terrible, I believe only missed one or two games but has really excelled.
A za receiver of receiving option for the Ravens and I give a lot of credit to Lamar Jackson, forgetting his other receivers involved, said Roberts was really involved in the this game, among others.
He definitely got Willie Snead involved in a lot of in a lot of the games, giving him ample opportunities to get the ball.
You know, his just uncanny ability to really make the correct decision on rollouts and, you know, play action fakes and the you know that the RP oh, the the option play.
It's just impressive with the way he runs it and how convincing he makes it because of his his ability to really fake it.
Because I I really paid a lot of close attention to those plays where he would fake it so to Ingram and then run it himself, and he really keeps it in there so long that you know in the defense.
In those seconds that are coming a CZ, you see the plate kind of start.
It's one of those situations where you know you really look at it.
It's like it's such a great asset of how he's able to really sell it.
And then, you know, even when he doesn't go to go through it, you know, it makes the defense hesitate.
And I think that's what has made him such a like a threat on that option play.
Thanks for joining Stream Man.
Um, and it's just one of those things where you know he's such a threat running that I think it's kind of lost on how effective he is as a passer.
He really slung it out there.
I mean, he put touch on the ball and needed to.
I was very much impressed, and, you know, it's another fourth quarter where he was able to take a seat and watch the end of the game.
And, you know, as your kind of approaching the playoffs, you know you want to be in those situations where you can kind of close the game early.
Allow yourself to kind of sit out give yourself, uh, the the or take away the chance of an injury.
You know, with Lamar Jackson.
If he was to go down in some crazy a situation where he would get hurt, that would definitely sink this Baltimore Ravens offense because, you know, they've always had a pretty stingy defense.
And for them to have a dynamic player, a quarterback and some emerging stars and in Andrews and, you know, marquees, Brown could be on his way to being ah, Premier.
Deep threat if he continues to develop.
Mark Ingram is a strong veteran running back.
Edwards himself has the ability to kind of break out on some runs.
He was a part of the team last season that went to the playoffs with Lamar Jackson.
Was the primary runner very impressive on that regard, but I just very impressed with Lamar Jackson overall.
I mean, there's nothing you can really say to really put a knock on his game.
Even his ability to be a leader on the field be a leader off the field.
You know, the way he communicates with his team so humble, so willing to take accountability, so willing to kind of be that that example of saying, you know, Hey, you got to do better.
You got a I made a mistake and I get it back next time.
Just stuff like that.
And the way you see his teammates react to him, it's just great, because you do see when AH team kind of really comes, gets around, Ah, quarterback because of the way that they interact with them, you know, handshakes, little stuff like that.
It's just such a great team building great for camaraderie.
And I think that's a lot of the reason why this team is so great this year because they just are a complete team.
Next topic we have, Ah, well, Bell and Adams be Jets next season.
I'm starting to think, but there that they are on Lee because of the way they've performed in recent weeks.
I know the Jets have been, you know, a very hot and cold, disappointing team.
But for you know, the way that you know, Belle's been running the ball, he hasn't been able to run to get as many carries.
I'm sure he would like, and I'm sure I Jets fans would like to see that Jets offensive line has struggled throughout the year.
You know, a lot of the runs of the games that I would catch of the Jets.
It was Bell kind of improvising and kind of, you know, kind of weaving through the, um, weaving through the offensive life, seeing where AA Gap would open up.
He has that patient running style, kind of like, you know, the one that you know, he kind of was known for when he was in Pittsburgh, kind of the way.
Marlon Mack, that patient running style where they just kind of feel it out and then just attacked the hole.
And, you know, I think that combined with Sam Darnold kind of shaking off a lot of the jitters, a shaking off a lot of the quote unquote ghosts and, you know, performing very well in some games.
You had a couple games where it was very disappointing, but, you know, he is a young quarterback 22 years old.
I think he has potential to be a good quarterback, possibly a great quarterback.
But, you know, you got to give him time to develop.
He definitely didn't have the best opportunity of the season to be successful.
He did go down with mono early on season, miss a big chunk and kind of take over with the team so far down.
Hey, Joe for 86.
Thanks for joining my stream.
And, you know, with Adams, you know, such a prominent, all perennial pro safety, you know, he may possibly be gone.
I think his interaction with the media after finding out he was on the trade block might forced the Jets.
Maybe kind of try to facilitate something to avoid kind of the opportunity for himto walk out free agency without getting anything in return.
I can see that occurring.
But, you know, I I think there's a huge possibility that they both could be traded.
I think Belle has a better chance of staying than Adam's.
I think Adam's would attract a lot more attention.
You know, I know the Dallas Cowboys were a team that he allegedly want would be interested in going to.
They have, I'm sure have interest in having him join their defense.
And, you know, that could be something where I think maybe the Cowboys could, you know, put a package together to kind of get Adam's on their sideline, but yeah, for the Jets, for them to put up 21 points.
Ah, good for them, honestly, one of the most from a punt return touchdown.
So little bit of resiliency not giving up.
It's very easy for players to be down big in a big game and, you know, not rush on the field.
Go not rush on the extra point, not rush on the on the punt.
And you know that little bit of effort.
You know, I I know that on the broadcast it was mentioned that Ah, lot of, ah pieces, you know, were hurt.
CJ Mosley was out among other players and that they've had to pick up players off the streets, big players off practice squad.
And you see the way that the defensive players kind of gravitate.
They have a definite a definite change of, ah, altered mood.
I guess you could are altered energy compared to the way you see the offense.
So I think that is something they could really build off of.
I know CJ Mosley would have been a great asset to that defense, but unfortunately, injuries occur in the game.
Next man up is always a call.
And, you know, that was definitely something that really hurt this team.
Next man up and next man up what they didn't have, Ah, a player capable of picking up the slack of what looked like a very favorable Jets team.
