An underscore Ray again, that's at DP, an underscore Ray.
I've got a lot of the cheap plugs out of the way.
It's time for me now to get into the stream and exactly what I want to talk about two day.
So I think one of the things that I want to discuss is dust.
Josh McDaniels need to be held accountable for the Patriots offensive struggles.
Let's start with this, okay? There's a lot of blame to be placed around everything that has gone wrong with the New England Patriots offense the same way.
There's a lot of praise to go around for any time, anything that goes right when you look at it now the Nick rights of the world on the Max Kellerman's and obviously the Rob Parker's and all the sort of, you know, sports, media trolls, what they like to do is kind of act like this is all Tom Brady's fault.
We're starting to see the cliff.
It's in full view now.
The New England Patriots and Tom Brady are finished, but really, if you watch the games and really watch the games.
Tom Brady is probably the least of the Patriots offensive problems.
You know, Tom Brady is having a big problem because nobody else in the offense is performing.
The running game has been abysmal.
Sony Michelle has taken a, you know sop****re curse.
He's taking a step backwards.
If he's not injured, he's not performing.
James White has just recently really been getting involved in the game plans.
The offensive line is horrible at times.
It's been improved, obviously, since Isaiah Win is back.
But for the most part this season it's been horrible.
The wide receivers are either dropping passes or can't get open.
Mohammed's the new jobs passes.
Jacoby Meyers drops passes.
Then you got NFL officials taking away scoops and scores.
You got NFL officials taking away touchdowns, but it's all good in the hood with the Patriots office because things come together.
But the question has to be.
Isn't execution? Is that coaching or is it a combination of all those things? And I think it's fair to say that it's a bit of a combination when you talk about the struggles in New England patriots.
Now, one thing that I need to make clear just because I can acknowledge that the New England Patriots offense isn't clicking on all cylinders, even though I can acknowledge that, yes, there's problems that the Patriots offense is dealing with.
It doesn't mean that I don't believe that the Patriots will be just fine.
So don't don't become an Army thinking, Oh, Ray's giving up on the team.
See, Ray, I told you that it wasn't gonna work.
Yada, yada, yada yada know the Patriots will be just fine, so nobody give panic.
But Bill Bill cheque says it all the time, especially after a loss.
You gotta play better.
We gotta coach better. We gotta execute better.
So does Josh McDaniels need to take some accountability? Absolutely.
He needs to take accountability, boom our size and talked about it this week, he said The Patriots can't get open.
Some of that comes down to Josh McDaniels.
Josh McDaniels needs to find ways to get his players opens.
Josh McDaniels have said that.
You know, we gotta figure out a way to beat the double team if two players air covering Julian Edelman.
If two players air covering James White and we've seen that we're both guys were being double teamed.
That means somebody's gotta get open somewhere.
Sometimes I feel like Josh McDaniels almost coaches himself out of the game.
He over thinks a game, and, you know, it's fine.
And we saw a little bit of that last year to what I'm hoping is this.
Josh McDaniels has now figure out okay, what do we do right now? The game against Cincinnati? Yes, look, if the Patriots blow them out, I am not going to stand on my soapbox and say the offenses back and they're great.
A bubble bubble.
I'm, you know, I might be a home run, maybe a page of fan I might always lean towards.
I believe in the Patriots.
But I'm not an idiot that they're playing the Cincinnati Bengals like I'm not.
I'm not oblivious to that.
So if they come out and win 45 nothing, I get that.
It's the one in 12 since that Bangles.
But what the Patriots can do that game when there's a little bit of pressure off of them when there's a little bit of an easier game and no game in the NFL is easy, even when a team is one and 12 but when there's a little bit of an easier game in front of them, the Patriots can start getting things together, seeing what works playing to their strengths.
Last year, the Patriots realized they were going to be a ground and pound run, the book run, the ball type of team, and that's exactly what they went out and did.
Did they? Did they try to do it this season? I don't think they really tried.
I don't think that the running backs always had the best opportunities to go out there and do it.
I don't think that they were always given the opportunity to do it.
I think they had to run behind Marshal New House on the left side of the line, which made the Patriotsoffense very predictable.
But and and But it's okay because I think that they can do something with the rest of the offense and it's now up to Josh McDaniels to try to scheme and get people open and again, I'm not going to sit on here and I'm not going to trash McDonnell states all his fault.
I don't think it's any but one person's fault.
I think that we've had just a lot of players who weren't performing on the offense.
And sometimes I think that McDaniels has called the right play in.
People just aren't executing where we gotta look at here.
Look, we all know the Patriots as a team.
Their identity is their defense in their special teams.
But the Patriots as an offense have to figure out what their identity is.
Are they gonna pass the ball 50 times a game? Are they gonna run? I actually think they'd be better as a balanced football team, running and passing, staying with the run.
But guys need to perform.
So, yeah, Josh McDaniels needs to be held accountable, the way all the players need to be held accountable the way Mohammed Sunu needs to be held accountable for basically disappearing.
You know Jacoby Meyers for dropping passes for Phillip Dorsett, who suddenly doesn't use his speed the way he did the beat receivers.
You know, Julian Edelman not beating double coverage, all that kind of stuff.
The offensive line not protecting Tom Brady and Josh McDaniels not putting his players in the position that they need to be to be successful and that includes Nick Eel Harry.
That includes getting him involved in the game plan.
So how can the Patriots get McKeel Harry Maur involved in the game plan Number one.
Use him. Have him out there for more snaps.
Pass him the ball.
Give him the opportunity.
We know that the kid can struggle to get open.
We know that he doesn't have that explosive.
That those explosives, you know, speed.
But he's hard to get down.
The Patriots used to be the masters of the screen pass, and they've completely gotten away from that.
And, yeah, Josh McDaniels has not done a good job getting the keel Harry open.
He talked about it himself this week.
I'm just pulling up the quotas.
We as we go because I have it up here, you know? But this is so look, this is This is Josh McDaniels.
Sorry, that's the wrong stupid thing.
So Josh McDaniels said time and how he had to get here involved in, he said, He's a big guy.
He's not easy to get to the ground.
Certainly when you have players like that, it comes back to how can you get him the football in no situations understanding.
There's a level of diminishing return if you try to keep doing the same things over and over again.
So, yeah, he definitely had a great individual effort.
We know he's big and not easy to tackle and all.
Like I said, I need to do a better job of finding ways to get him in space, get him the ball in letting him have an opportunity to do those things. End quote.
I have a bit of an idea of how they can use it to kill Harry.
I've been thinking about it.
I've been trying to figure out what's the best way to go about it.
How can they really get you know, him involved in the game? And here's what I came up with.
Since the Patriots don't have Rob Gronkowski this year, since the Patriots don't have a tight end like Rob Gronkowski that can get open, that can get them, you know, involved way Gronkowski was, why not give me kill Harry? Some of those routes, why not give him the middle of the field five or 10 yards up? Why not try those fades to the outside? We all talk you know.
I talked at length about that miss between Brady and the cost when Brady hit Lacoste and he dropped the ball on what wasn't always first down for Tom Brady or for for Rob Gronkowski.
I think that was back in the Houston game.
We talked about that play.
Why not give that same plate in the keel? Harry? Why not have him line up almost right beside the tight end on that slot position? Allow Julian Edelman to get the outside draw the double coverage, letting Akil hair he come across the middle.
Let him take these short routes.
If he's so hard to tackle, why are we making Tom Brady hold onto the football and try to find somebody open down the field when we could just get quick shots over to Tuna? Kill Harry? Why not use the screen pass more? These are all different things that can help the Patriots generate more offense, generate more opportunity, generate more ability to throw the other teams off.
And you don't have to use the Kill Harry on every play, and I get he's dropped some passes.
Absolutely, he's dropped some passes, but when I look at you know when I compare it to when I compare it to guys like Jacoby Meyers, who they're using all the time, who has really been a liability on the offense, and I get it.
Jacoby Meyers starts hanging on those balls.
He becomes a significant weapon for the Patriots.
But let's face it right now, he's been a liability.
He's been nothing.
Maur, then on undrafted free agent and to kill Harry, who people are blaming for the interception.
I thought it was a bad throw by Brady, but regardless of it, and we're talking about the Houston game, I mean, since it's inside and reception, he's hardly been used.
What was there on the field for two plays last week? He gets, you know, he gets targeted on a play.
He scores a touchdown, which was ultimately brought back, but he shows when he has the ball, the type of damage he could do.
That was a 12 yard run where he was shaking off tacklers.
He's a big, strong boy and I would like to see the Patriots get on top of it and use him better.
With that being, said, Tom Brady wanted Mohammed Sunu, he wanted him in the off season.
Bill Bell check went out.
He got Tom Pre Mohammed Sunu.
I asked this What the hell has happened to Mohammed Sunu? He really came into this league with a bit of Ah, our came into this Patriots team showing that he could be a big part of it.
He comes in against the Brown catches two passes, 23 yards, one of those being 1/4 down attempt.
Then you got the Ravens game, which was obviously a Patriots lost, but he catches the ball 10 times for 81 yards.
Scores a touchdown in that game since the Ravens game, when he caught 10 passes.
Now he was hurt for the Cowboys game.
Shook it up in the Eagles game.
Maybe he was still feeling some effects for the taxes game, but he's caught six passes since the Ravens game.
What happened? This was a guy who we thought, Look, he's clicking with Tom Brady.
We remember Tom Brady coming into his press conferences, talking about how him and some newer clicking, and he's so excited that him and Mohammed Sunu were starting to click and, you know, yada yada yada.
All of a sudden, now that's happening.
All of a sudden, he's basically a glorified punt returner.
I don't remember making three catches against the taxes.
They only went for 14 yards.
You know, long it's six.
You and Tom Brady is kind of taking it on his own.
He was talking about having to get Mohammed Sunu involved, and I mean, he just kept saying, You know, he's doing a great job and we're trying to get in the ball at different times and you know, sometimes that the coverage is dictated that we go somewhere else.
Well, maybe when we talk about Josh McDaniels being accountable, this is where Josh McDaniel needs to figure out.
How do we get Mohammed Sunu involved? Even if the coverage says he's not the guy to go to, how do I put my team in a better position that they're ready to perform, that they're ready to get the job done? Rather than just accepting Mohammed's new meaning to catch, the Patriots gave up a second round draft pick for him.
Bill Bell checks not giving up a second round draft pick for Mohamed Sanu.
If he doesn't believe that he could bring something to the team.
You know what I mean? That he's not just doing that.
He's not just bringing them spending a second tropic thing.
Let's see what happens.
No, he's pointing, bringing him on the team.
He's spending a second round draft pick because he believes that Mohammed's new will be able to do something.
Get something done on this Patriots offense and up till now, minus the Ravens game, he's been disappointing.
I was encouraged after Cleveland, and it was only two catches, but I think he was on the field for like 58 or 60% or some like that of the snaps, and Brady went to him on fourth down.
And then, of course, against the taxes, he dropped the fourth down ball.
That's frustrating, and it was one right in his hands.
You know what? I've wondered and I've said this out loud.
You know, very much like I believe Julian Edelman, who's a great receiver.
But as much as I believe, I believe that Julian Edelman benefited from having Rob Gronkowski on the team, you gotta wonder how much Mohammed Sunu benefited from Julio Jones and there was some conversation around that even prior to see new being traded to the Patriots when it was rumors that the Patriots we're gonna be making the move for Mohammed Sunu.
And there was reports out there saying that Mohammed Sunu, Really, you know that he was.
He was in a favorable situation because of Julio Jones and because on the Patriots now where they really don't have that the facto number one like where Gronkowski was a de facto number one, Mohammad Sanu and Julian Edelman's Air number two's I've always believed Edelmann was it to have always, you know.
And now Mohammed Sunu is showing his number two.
And I think one of the biggest problems on this Patriots offense right now is they don't have a legitimate number one.
We've been there before with the Patriots, right? We've seen it, but Tom Brady has been able to make things happen.
But I think some of the big drops that we've seen over the Games have been dictating to how the game's finish.
Because usually when the Patriots drop one on fourth down or third down, it always seems like the other team.
That's when they come back and score.
And yet You know what? The Texan scored 28 points on the on the Patriots.
But, I mean, I think it up until, like, the third or fourth quarter, the defense had held them Thio toe.
24 points are 2 14 points.
I mean, the Patriots were very much in that game and you couldn't get to kill Harry open.
You couldn't get Mohammed Sunu open.
You couldn't get anybody open.
I just think if the Patriots are gonna be successful going forward, they're going to need to get guys like Seenu.
They're gonna have to get him open.
Tom Brainy is gonna have to find a way.
And I also gotta wonder if Mohammed Sunu is is hurt right now, you know is that one of the problems here is one of the issues that's the new was hurt.
And if that's the case, I mean, the offense is gonna have to figure out something else to do now.
One thing that's not gonna help this season, but has reared its ugly head get again is the rumors about Odell Beckham Jr to the Patriots.
And I guess the question that needs to be asked because I get it a lot.
Is there a real possibility that Odell Beckham Jr ends up on the New England Patriots? I mean, first of all, I have no idea.
Um I mean, we're going back with two off seasons now, since the whole load out back of junior to the Patriots, sort of rumor came to be.
You know, it wasn't until late last year that we found out that the Patriots, the Giants actually had a deal in place and the Giants pulled out at the last minute.
And I mean, what's really sparking these rumors now is that I mean, Beckham has made it obvious and clear.
I mean, he's almost as obvious as Antonio Brown is being right now.
You know, Beckham has made it obvious he wants to be a New England patriot.
He wants to play it the Goat.
He talked about having dreams about playing with Tom Brady, which is, you know, e.
I mean, phenomenal.
And obviously he still looks at Tom Brady as the best in the league, really the way he should.
There's no reason that you shouldn't look at Tom Brady as one of the best in the NFL and that's the way he looks at him.
Bodo, back of junior He wants out of Cleveland like Beckham doesn't want to be in Cleveland anymore.
And that's one of the bigger problems.
And, you know, there's lots of people talking about it.
Apparently, Odell Beckham Jr is going around other teams during the game saying, Come get me, Come get me, come get me which is, you know, like and you think about.
He plays on a team with Baker, Mayfield and Jarvis Landry, his old roommate from college.
They got Nick Chubb, Myles Garrett when he returns on defense.
I mean, the Cleveland Browns on paper have a really, really good team.
But I think the fact that Beckham's been playing hurt and I think he's blaming the training staff, I mean, Baker Mayfield came out this week and said that, you know, the training staff created, you know, handled it wrong.
And Beckham's playing with that sports hernia.
And now the rumor is he could have had surgery at the beginning of the year and been back near the end healthy.
Now he's playing hurt.
The Browns are trying to make a playoff push and and back it was.
Basically, he's there, but he's basically unavailable toe help.
So I don't know.
I'm just thinking that if that's the case, if that's the reality of it, does Cleveland move on from Odo back of junior next year? Because, I mean, I think if you're the general manager of the team, I get that you don't want to just grant guys wishes to be traded.
But if a player doesn't want to play for you, why bother going through the hole? You know, the whole garment.
Why bother keeping the guy on the team who doesn't want to play for you? Why bother even going down that road now? Would Cleveland make the trade to New England? Probably not, you know, from a salary wise thing, Bilbao check would have to figure things out.
But don't forget Tom Brady won't have a contract next year.
He'll have one eventually, but not right away.
But I'm sure if Belichick approached him and said, I have the opportunity to trade for Odell Beckham Jr.
You'd probably see Brady take a huge pay cut to play with Oh, Della have a chance of winning other Super Bowl, so we have to play.
A lot of guys were gonna be free agents next year.
He can play with it.
The salary cap is going upto astronomical numbers, which hopefully gets used to sign guys like Oh BJ and not just used to boost, you know, the quarterback salaries.
That seems to be where most teams salary caps go this year or go, you know, lately, and I think after that it is what it is.
But does Cleveland even want to make a trade to New England? Is that you know nobody wants you and believe me, people out there are getting New England.
They're already getting nervous and getting New England complexes over this.
They're already thinking about the possibility of Odell Beckham Jr going to New England the same way they had that same anxiety about Antonio Brown going to New England.
The best thing that happened for the rest of the National Football League was Odell Beckham.
Inability not to her stories.
Antonio Brown's inability not to make a fool of himself and not get himself cut from the Patriots.
So there's a whole lot of stuff going on, you know, there's a whole lot of interesting, interesting stuff going on around O'Dell back in junior and Amy.
I mean, he's making a completely and utterly public.
Here's a quote from Robinson.
According to sources close to the wideout, these are There are three issues creating an intersection of drama with Beckham.
Now he's physically hurt, which he confirmed on Sunday.
He's frustrated that he's not playing at an elite standard and that he thinks he's capable of and the fact that he has alluded to on several times this season.
And, perhaps more importantly, he's still unsure about his fit with the Browns, including his relationship with the coaching staff and his role on the offense.
Listen, I don't know how many more times I can say that Freddie Kitchens is one of the worst coaches in the NFL.
Like there's on Lee so many times I can talk about that.
There's only so many times I can talk about how pro poor up poor Freddie Kitchens is, how awful he has treated that organization, how awful he has turned his team.
So with that being said, if the Browns expected anything out of Odell Beckham Jr.
They would need to get rid of Freddie Kitchens.
I'm telling you that right now, they absolutely would.
And lastly, the last thing I want to talk about, what? This spy gate two point.
Oh, going on with all this nonsense And, you know, as Patriot fans, we know the Patriots didn't intentionally cheated with some camera crew that works for Robert Kraft.
But I was reading an interesting article on the athletic day and they were talking about the players and are the Patriots players legacies tarnished these players past players by the cheating scandals by Robert Kraft and is you know, right, because, you know, as a paid your fans matter what we talk about, they're gonna We're gonna talk about people gonna talk about deflated footballs.
They're gonna talk about Spy Gate.
There was still spy gate jokes is here prior to Spy Gate two point. Oh, right.
So are the players that play for the Patriots of current passed.
You know, maybe future president would have been a good word to use if I was speaking proper English day.
Are their reputations going to be tarnished by all this nonsense happened with New England? I don't know.
I kind of say absolutely, positively not.
I don't see how players are gonna look at people like Tom Brady or Randy Moss or Wes Welker.
And I know Julian Edelman has P d thing.
I know that Tom Brady was suspended.
You know how you gonna look at Teddy Bruschi? Vrabel, McGinnis, Seymour, Law Malloy All he's got a great to have played for the Patriots stork.
And how you gonna look at these guys Gronk and say that their reputations are tarnished because of things really out of the players controls? How come every time anybody writes a story does a YouTube video talks about a Patriots player, somebody throws it back to Spy Gate, the Flake Gate rub and Tug Gate with Robert Kraft.
I mean, we know that a lot of people have a Patriots complex.
We know a lot of people and kiss the rings.
And I talked about in our lives on the line, our story masterwork, and I talked about it on the Lifestream.
Tonight, people have Patriots complex.
People hate the New England Patriots.
People hope that the New England Patriots will just go away, and I get that I get that you haven't had the luxury that we've had for 20 years of dominance and really football fans after it's all said and done after Tom Brady's called it a career, everybody's, you know, going into the hall of favorite things were happening.
They will acknowledge how good a look people people ripped on Rob Gronkowski last year.
Look how bad Gronkowski looks.
Look how old he's getting.
And now suddenly all these same fans going well, you can't win without Rob Gronkowski.
You lost Rob Gronkowski.
You can't have Gronk.
You can't win without Gronk.
Well, last year you told us we can't win with Gronk.
So the Patriots players legacies are going to be tarnished while they're playing just for the mere fact that people hate the Patriots.
I don't even think it's jealousy.
I think its Pettiness.
I think it's, you know, just, Ah, your team beat my team.
Your team is better than my team.
You got chief fans with their fake bravado and their undeserved confidence, acting like they should be getting something special.
They believe that their team, their quarterback, they should be ruling the NFL.
The torch should have been passed to Patrick my home's last season.
But the problem is, the problem is Tom Brady's like the hell with you guys.
I'm not going anywhere.
And that's where the nitpick if this happens, if this spy gate 2.
0 happens anywhere else for any other team, it's stories like a day, because as soon as sources come out like we've heard saying that, you know, the NFL believes are more than likely believing the Patriots explanation people like, Oh, well, it was just a misunderstanding.
No problem yet because it's the Patriots people.
They're guilty already.
The Patriots are guilty already, no matter what happens.
So be it, I guess, right? I mean, what are you really going to do? Look, at the end of the day, it is what it is.
And I don't think that there's any sort of tarnish mint to the Patriots reputation.
All right, guys, this is usually the time of the night that I turn to the chat.
I turned on my child on SportsCastrs, start answer questions out of the conversation of all my SportsCastr people.
