This is another live stream here by Alex V from unwrap Sports here to break down Monday Night Football.
And what a game it waas before we really get going.
I just want to definitely event because I literally had Emmanuel Sanders on my bench.
And I know for those of you who do fancy sports, you know the level of significance his game would have been to saving me.
I lost by about five points, had Golden Tate.
He had mild Sanders and I was up by 1.
8 lost by five point, something brutal loss.
That was the high money league.
So that was unfortunate, but ah, fantasy playoffs, man.
For the Monday Night Football game, this was definitely a thriller.
Um, I want definitely, you know, a couple things that I wanted to discuss, but, you know, once gets it done.
And that's something I think we really need to kind of give wins his flowers because, you know, it's all its allies.
Been made the season about him having not the best talent around him.
As receivers kind of have been dropping the ball, his defense is have put him in a really bad situations where he's not really able to, you know, being visit in position to win the games.
You know, having a quote unquote outscored the other offense on just a ah level that I think few quarterbacks are able to kind of do, especially with the office Eagles have.
But Carson wins.
What a job he's done.
I mean, just the gut to be able to get those first downs on fourth and one, you know, in the short yardage play something that I think a lot of people kind of under value of a quarterback because you know Ben Roethlisberger, Lamar Jackson being able to get the first down.
And you know, when is someone of, Ah pretty mobile quarterback you know he is able to tow will his way into getting a firsthand, especially in the short yardage situations.
And he came through.
He came through this week, you know, he did have one that he didn't get.
He did fumble that, but that's gonna happen that it's a game of numbers, you know, you're not always gonna hold onto the ball all the way through.
But let's kind of highlight of statistics.
Now, majority of times a quarterback throws 50 passes or more.
It's a loss garbage time.
They're just trying to make it up.
They really were not able to get very much going on the ground.
They did run it pretty decently, effective with Scott.
But Michael Saunders when he went down, it was kind of like, All right, can.
The Giants is kind of cheat with the passing game and kind of force him that way.
But you know, Scott definitely stepped up.
But for Carson Wentz, 33 for 5325 yards, two touchdowns and on the final drive, which was in overtime to drive it down the field with one healthy receiver as J J R C.
GE walked off on that final driving.
And for anybody that has played sports, you know, for you to walk off in a in a time where you could make your moment, make your mark, it's It's just one of those things where you know, and you just saw on his face the grimace on his face that was an injury that, you know, he really must have hurt his hamstring significantly, a terrible, Alex.
Thanks for joining the Stream.
And, you know, to have Earth's and God are two very capable of receiving options and, you know, a couple plays.
It did have Ah, Saunders and Sanders and Scott kind of ah Dou duel threat with the running back position.
But I definitely have a lot of credit to wince.
I know he's kind of been scrutinized, you know, with Nick Foles getting the Philadelphia Eagles first Super Bowl when he went down with an injury and his M V P caliber start to that season and unfortunate 20 seal against the Los Angeles Rams those years ago.
But you know, whence Definitely, I think everybody needs to kind of take a deep breath and kind of give him his credit.
I know what this NFC East division is.
One that is, Matt been performing to what we expected.
We definitely I think prior to the season we would have thought Eagles and Cowboys would have been fighting for it, but not both at six and seven.
And there's been there was a lot of moments in this game where it looked like, you know, they weren't gonna be able to get it done, but whence was able to get it done.
He moved very well in the pocket, avoided a lot of costly sacks.
There's a couple times we did kind of try to save it on throwing the ball away.
But overall, you have to give this victory ball over to Carson Wentz.
He will this team to victory, two touchdown passes, one of the fourth quarter won in overtime.
Doesn't matter how you rack up the status.
It's when you get those touchdowns.
He got those touchdowns to tie the game and enforce it in overtime.
Never even let the Giants go back on the field.
Score a touchdown with your favorite target, Zach Ertz in the back of the end zone.
What a just dagger to this Giants team that has shown promise in a few games.
And you know, they're just not able to get it done.
And, you know, we know what the status of that football team is.
You know, they're definitely on the rebuild side, but I mean, come on, guys like Nelson Aguilar dropping a pass.
A bunch of key passes in multiple games.
Uh, Nelson aglow has been injured for the majority of the season.
He's definitely been slowed down by injuries this season.
It's been really hard to watch after seeing how effective he was on that will run those years ago.
But you know his ability.
So just make the play.
I mean, they put it up, I believe, five or six straight times in the middle of that game and to be able to still kind of get something out of it and get them in a position of wind this NFC East division is theirs is anyone's for the taking.
If the Eagles can get this next win and, you know, ultimately put the nail in the coffin and beat the Cowboys in Week 16 which is gonna be a fun wanna watch.
I know two teams that have been performing very lackluster.
You wouldn't think so, but again, the situation is gonna elevate it and it's going.
Thio put a spotlight on these two teams and I think if Carson Wentz, which I do believe at this point that it's the Eagles division to lose if they could get it done, I think it really just kind of ah helps put a stamp on Carson.
One saying, All right, You know, he's not injury prone.
I know he's He's dealt with injuries quite a bit, but he is capable of being a winning franchise quarterback, which he definitely was showing prior toe full is leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl run next.
I wanted to kind of highlight the New York Giants wide receiver, Slaten.
Now let me make sure I get his name correctly.
Darius Layton, who has been very impressive this season.
He's shown to be able to have big playability.
Ah, he definitely had instant chemistry with, um, Eli Manning from the get go in this game.
Five receptions, 154 yards, two touchdowns.
Should've started him over Golden Tate and I I just think with that performance.
And then he did have that 10 reception, 121 yard Game, two touchdown against the Jets, another traditional game against the Detroit Lions.
Like he's really forming a good receiver to kind of build it off, you know, have him in the rebuilding plans.
He's definitely proven his ability to make big plays kind of be a good possession receiver when you need him to be.
You know, he's definitely had his moments where he kind of disappears.
But you know, he's rookie, He's he's still learning the game.
He still tryingto process for the game.
Speed slows down for him to be able to understand it.
But what a great performance by Slaten in a game where you know, you're without your current starting quarterback and Daniel Jones and you go back to Eli Manning, who, you know, I know he gets a lot of grief for the his struggles the last couple of years, but he can still swing the rock.
When you gonna come when it gets down to it.
And you know, Eli Manning did.
Ah, what he definitely needed to do in this game.
200 yards, two touchdowns.
But you know, he definitely put this giant steam in a position to win.
Giants defense weren't able to hold that for him, but Darius Leighton definitely looks like a key piece for this Giants team with Daniel Jones have an Ingram Dairy Slaten, Sterling Shepard.
I still definitely have a lot of belief in.
He's just been battling the injury, but this year you know that that's a great unit.
And I think Slaten is definitely in position to kind of grow himself into becoming that that kind of, ah, flashy playmaker and and I don't mean in a Tyree kill level, but, you know, someone that can definitely come through for you when you need them to.
Now, next, Eagles injuries, especially that kind of leads to our next topic.
But for the Eagles defense, you know, lamed, uh, fixing the Eagles injuries.
Lane Johnson just signed a major contract to be a believe, the highest paid offensive tackle.
I had a very severe leg injury.
The extent of that, I don't believe, has been released just yet.
But for him to be taken off in a cart definitely doesn't look good for an Eagles team that definitely needs all hands on deck.
To get this. They definitely lost.
I believe three or four key pieces in this game for Lane Johnson, if he was lost for any extended amount of time, really puts a lot more pressure on Carson Wentz toe kinda do his magic and avoid sacks in pressure in the park It.
So that's one injury.
Nelson A Galore non contact injury running throughout.
Pulls up with this leg, goes into the blue tent, goes inside to, has to go into a locker room out.
That's another tough loss, and I know it hasn't.
Nelson Aguilar has been very much slow down the season from his injuries, but, you know, with a team that you know has currently been having just of revolving door at receiver, you definitely don't want your number one going down like that.
And it definitely didn't look.
That definitely looks like something of a 2 to 3 week kind of situation.
By the way, you should definitely follow student Doc us.
Then he gives light breakdowns on injuries.
Yeah, he's, uh, in the practice of becoming a physical therapist, and he gives weekly updates on his Twitter.
Definitely give him a follow.
It definitely helped me out a lot during the fantasy season.
Um, a Winky face.
Wanna one and Cubs fan and hiding.
Thank you guys for joining Stream.
And so we got a glow.
We got Lane Johnson and then Mile Sanders did get hurt.
Uh, keep did, was able to return to the game, but he was very limited.
They definitely had Scott getting a majority of the touches.
He did have a key reception to get a first down and a key run to put them in a field in a in the first and goal situation.
So I don't think it's anything major.
I think they were just being precautionary with, you know, Lane Johnson and Agler going down.
They didn't want to lose their running back with Jordan Howard, not even able to do contact just yet.
And, you know, with him being injured, yeah, galore being injured prior to this.
It's even worse because J J R ch Oh, that hamstring it Definitely.
It was a very bad hamstring injury, the grimace on his face when he was coming off the field on a full on a driving over time.
You know he wouldn't come off the field if you didn't have to.
And I think that definitely paints a picture.
And they currently only have one healthy receiver on this roster.
Could that mean the Eagles could be looking at Dez Bryant? Maybe Antonio Brown? I'm not sure, kind of There there their thought process or Jordan Maggie's could be brought back again.
Not sure what they are thinking.
I think Jordan Matthews might only make sense because he has comfort with the playbook.
He definitely knows the playbook from playing for the U.
For the last couple years, so I think that might be a safe signing.
But I definitely think with them in a peak position that, uh, secure the NFC East crown.
Dez Bryant should be someone to call.
And I know, uh, people are kind of down on him, Maybe because of his locker room presence.
I don't think he's the best addition to a locker room.
I think at this point you definitely to bring him in, have him buy into the system.
You guys were hurt.
You guys need to retool in any way, shape, form because for the place layoffs, Philadelphia Eagles next three games.
Let's go into key victory today, for sure, but they have after this the Washington Redskins, which I think they should be able to get this victory.
Darius guys just had an injury.
He's looks to be out at least for the next week.
I think that he was a very big spark plug for this team, a great change of pace back with Adrian Peterson.
Without them, I think they have the fight hard to get things going.
Haskins hasn't really gotten acclimated with the NFL games.
He'd as you've seen with interceptions, incomplete passes.
Then they had a big matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
And, you know, win and get yourself in.
Basically, it's it's a must win game.
And then they have the Giants and the season, which when we saw today, Giants have the ability to kind of keep up with the Eagles.
And, you know, they had the lead early on.
Could be, Ah, deciding factor for them.
And let's just take a quick look at the cowboy schedule.
So, obviously, no, there's Week 16 They have.
They're going to go face the Eagles so weak 15.
They face the Los Angeles Rams, and that's gonna be a major game because the Rams have kind of reverted back to last year's game plan of going through girlie giving got the opportunity to do play action, kind of get their other receivers involved in more than just a passing game.
That could be a game that could be a quote unquote dagger each other season obviously the Eagles.
And they have the Redskins Week 17 which, if Geiss is able to make it back, not sure how serious the injury is just yet.
I just know he's not playing this week.
I wouldn't be surprised of the Redskins upset the Cowboys on Lee because it's been one of those seasons and the Redskins have been vastly improving on offense have been a lot closer.
In some of these games.
They were able to surprise the Panthers.
They were ableto, uh, just barely lose to the Green Bay Packers.
They definitely fought their way to put themselves within a touchdown of the Packers, and that in itself is impressive for a team that has had so much turmoil all season.
But, yeah, it definitely looks like it's the Eagles to take.
But with those major injuries that they're suffering from, they may be in a spot where they may just kind of, you know, you lose a tough game and give the Cowboys all the opportunity to get in.
So it's between the Eagles and the Cowboys, and these next three games, or for all intensive purposes must win for each of these teams, and it is going to be a lot of fun to watch the NFC East and how that plays out.
