Welcome in to the Lakers Nation postgame a show.
My name's Trevor Lane.
Senior writer for Lakers nation dot com Your Lakers just picked up a nice win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, won 42 to 1 25 That's a season high in points for the Lakers.
And you know what else? Anthony Davis dropped 50 on them.
Incredible performance across the board by the Lakers were gonna talk all about it.
But first, quick shadow to our sponsors up time, energy drinks.
So energy should field fighting with 7 11 GNC in amazon dot com.

Just how you doing, man? After watching Anthony Davis play like that once again, I'm feeling pretty good, man.
We talked about this last game that when they played the Blazers, that LeBron and 80 combined for 70 points and we're like Well, yeah, if you score 70 combined between those two, you could have a hard time being, and then tonight they go off for 82.
So, uh, it's great to see when the team's pain like this.
Just the efficiency that 80 played with William.
Why he's one of the top players in the league.
Yeah. I mean, look, Anthony Davis is incredible.
He's unguardable like you almost feel bad for the wolves trying to defend him. But not really.
I mean, he's on an absolute tear.
He is so, so good.
And this is why this is why the Lakers gave up all the assets that they did in order to go get him.
Because you get a guy like this, you parent with LeBron James.
And next thing you know, you are one of, if not the best teams in the N B A.
Because he is just that good.
He makes that big of a difference.
So great things.
Right now, everything's going well for the Lakers.
And of course, you've gotta love that.
They're beating the teams that they showed and the Timberwolves.
I texted this to your earlier I said they're a very middle of the pack team.
There was no pun intended there, but they are there.
The wolves are just there middle of the pack there, Just there. Okay.
And this is what you do to okay teams.
If you're one of the best teams in the league.
It was kind of it was kind of a weird feeling throughout the game for myself.
I was watching it, Uh, then at no point, and I felt this kind of ran the script that we saw earlier in the season where, Okay, the Lakers are kind of keeping it close and clothes and the other teams in it, and the Lakers eventually pulled away, and I kind of felt like that with this one to lie.
Wasn't ever scared.
The Lakers were going to lose even when the T Wolves made that run at the end of second quarter when LeBron was on the bench with the three fouls and they quickly put him back in and and then things turned around.
Then they got number four, but ultimately didn't go on a pretty good run at the end of the second.
But to me, I mean, yeah, it was like I felt like a soon as the Lakers wanted to turn it on and get some separation in this game, that was going to happen and we started to see that lot of the fourth quarter. Yeah, really.
It felt like like when you were younger, or maybe even now, I don't know.
And you're racing.
You're young, you're younger sibling, and you kind of you run just fast enough to stay in front of them.
Even though if you really, really wanted to, you could just turn on the Jets and blue Boy.
That's kind of what the Lakers were doing tonight, at least what it felt like out there.
It was like you always knew they were in control.
And at any time, if the Wolves started catch up too much, well, the Lakers would just pick up a little bit blow past him, and then everything would be would be good.
Guys, Thank you for joining us, by the way, those guys were hopping in here from from YouTube.
Whether you're coming in from Facebook, live from periscope, all those different sources that we've got out there.
Thank you for all of you guys hopping in here.
One person already that made a comment.
I'm assuming it's sarcastic, saying Thanks for dressing up for us.
Guys, look admitted to establish is here for the ground rules.
If you haven't been watching the last few shows, there was a thing growing around that If I don't wear this l a bron shirt, the Lakers lose the next game.
That was a little bit of a superstition that we have today, so I am now obligated to where? That Sure this is not me.
Be trying to not look presentable or anything like this.
This is me taking one for the team.
Right here, guys.
Oh, this is me dressing like this because it's Sunday night and wake up tired.
All right, so that's it.
So, yeah, this is This is good.
It gets on a Sunday evening.
Jack, let me tell you what kind of game are what kind of day I've had here.
So, uh, in terms of fantasy football, which I'm way too passionate about Yeah, yeah, I have devante Parker, Mark Andrews on my team.
So if you if you were playing fantasy football, you know what happened to me today? You know the boy Those guys went out early in the game.
And so now my fantasy season is over and that the one league that I paid the most attention to my fantasy season just ended, thanks to some injuries.
So this Lakers game was much reading for me to sit back and watch the Lakers just go go off on the T Wolves.
It was definitely, Ah, some nice therapy for me.
Well, I had an interesting morning comes the Niners big win against the Saints and what has been the NFL's game of the year.
I also have Mark Andrews is my starting tight end, and I was in the playoffs and I scored.
Belle went out, so I mean, I had I had nobody there.
Adam Baylin was supposed to play.
I have 56 points right now.
I'm down by 53 but I do have Carson Wentz and Mild Sanders go in tomorrow.
So if I could get a little bit, if somehow I got like, a 5% chance of them going off together that it might happen otherwise I'll be joining you on the sidelines for the rest of the fantasy before.
That's going to be thinking, you know what? Hey, I'll tell you what, They're just my buddy bench Drew Brees today.
Oh, man, He lost the league because of it.
So So at least we could say we don't want to know what shape he's in.
Uh, all right, let's let's talk a little bit about what happened.
First and foremost, we don't bury the lead.
Anthony Davis, 50 points, that werewolves had no answer for him.
What did you see 80 doing out there? That was that was so impressive.
How was he able to score those points? Give us the story.
Well, for me, I mean, I was I was Look at that.
I look at the shot charts at the end of the Games, and if you look at Anthony Davis when he is playing at his best, he was aggressive.
He's when he's doing outside as well.
So if you look at a shot start, I mean, a majority of everything the line at least 10 times his, uh, his averages, something around 34 points a game.
And so what do You wouldn't want these aggressive, and he's able to get those easy buckets.
It kind of opens up for him on the outside because whoever's guarding it has to respect that
