Hello, everybody, and welcome to the broadcast.
I'm Samuel Reeds Company Live right here on SportsCastr.
It is the 2019 m.
I A high school football division.
It's ST John's Prep and Catholic Memorial on the Saturday night from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Thank you so much for joining me tonight, everybody.
What a game this should be.
There's been games all day at Gillette Stadium.
Uh oh, and two last night from Division's one through eight.
We're now at the biggest game of all, the Division one Super Bowl, and I am here to bring it to you, the ST John's Prep Eagles against the Catholic Memorial Nights from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
What is going on, Nick? Welcome into the broadcast.
I appreciate you joining me tonight on the Stream.
It's the Division one high school football championship in Massachusetts.
John's prep against Catholic Memorial Catholic Memorial actually beat my high school in the South final.
So the round before this my high school is one game away.
Franklin from playing Atul, let tonight.
But hey, Catholic Memorial well deserved.
These two teams are phenomenal.
They are solid teams, kind of they kind of have built a rivalry over the years.
They met earlier in the season, where Catholic Memorial won by two points.
Last season, these two teams met in the Super Bowl, where ST John's Prep one.
So it's a rematch in the Super Bowl.
Once again, Atul let Stadium on the Saturday night.
It will be an 8 18 local time kickoff, and I appreciate all of you joining me tonight.
10 minute quarters for 10 minute quarters during the whole scene is season.
It's been 12 of the quarters, but it's different for the for the Super Bowl.
The weather in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
It feels like 17.
It is a chilly night, to say the least.
Alright, the kick is up from ST John's Prep in what the heck that was. Ah, hi, love.
Bullet has Catholic Memorial held on.
I think they have that ball there was returned by and Andrew Galvin and, yes, Catholic Memorial do have it.
So a little bit of a different type of kick off their Thanks Alex, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Alex, Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday night.
And thanks for joining me.
So Catholic Memorial will start with the ball and outcomes.
He has eight passing touchdowns this season.
He missed the October 12 game against Saint John's prep with an injury.
They now have him.
They won without him.
He just adds to the talent of this Catholic Memorial team.
This will be run right down the middle and I'll tell you right now they run the ball a lot.
Thanks Avery for joining the broadcast.
And with the Kerry to start the game is Owen McGowan, one of the captains for this Catholic Memorial team.
What is going on? Every.
What's up, Sal? Welcome in And what's up, Teppei? Welcome into the broadcast.
How are you doing tonight? No, Grant is not here with me now.
He's doing the Bruins game right now.
Actually, Avery, So yeah.
No, he's not with me tonight.
So Catholic Memorial have it from their own 45 yard line.
Second and four, this game taking place at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
This will be handed off.
Running to the right side here is Darius Leclaire.
Leclaire takes off before the tackle is made a nice tackle there by ***an.
So the road to Gillette for the Catholic Memorial Night stay defeated Needham, 42 to nothing.
Then they beat BC High 27 to 16 and unfortunately beat my high school Franklin, 42 to 8.
And that's how they've gotten to this point.
Yeah, my my school is one game away from playing Angela tonight.
Um, came up short.
But how is this on my TV? It's on NBC Sports Boston Avery.
It's on the, uh, the channel that shows the Celtics games.
Yeah, this will be, ah, fake handoff.
Proud under pressure.
He'll throw it down the middle and it's incomplete.
There's eight divisions for high school football in Massachusetts, and the game starts at 9 a.m.
this morning, and they've been on all day on NBC Sports Boston.
So it's been pretty cool.
You went to winter skate and the hall today.
Gillette? Yes, right cell.
I hope that was good.
And that's awesome.
Then that is great.
Yep, NBC Sports Boston's been showing it all day.
They do it every year is pretty awesome.
Yeah, and this is Division One final 8 35 remaining in the first quarter.
This will be a punt from Catholic Memorial.
So a nice stop there by ST John's Prep.
So take a bounce inside the 25 it will be down at the 22 yard line by Jamal Griffin.
I'll tell you what.
Catholic Memorial Do not throw the ball pretty much Anil.
Um, I commentated my high school's game against them in the last round for the local TV channel, and they love to run it.
Matt Crowley, meanwhile, is the quarterback for ST John's Prep this season.
1546 past yard 16 touchdowns as well.
I haven't seen ST Shawn's Prep played this season yet, but they seem like a team who is not afraid to throw the ball on more.
It was fantastic Cell. That's great.
That is awesome.
Why does NBC Sports Washington Celtics games about messing shows, socks and Bruins games? It's just what they dio what they do.
Every this will be handed off, and he is stopped there, not much of a pickup.
And what the Kerry for ST John's prep was, Stuart and thank you Rob for joining the broadcast.
What is going on, Rob.
I appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
Everyone for coming in tonight.
Yeah, it's just how it is.
There's two Sports Channel local sports channels for Boston.
Yeah, Nessen shows the Red Sox and Bruins NBC sports washing shows the Celtics in the Revolution.
Yeah, Now it will be hand off the carry to the outside.
It's Stuart. Once again, he takes it to the 35.
What's the time? A game Rob.
7 40 left in the first quarter.
It just got underway for the Super Bowl's.
It's 10 minute quarters for high school, the road to Gillette.
Meanwhile, for ST John's Prep, they defeated Lowell, 42 to 13.
Then they beat and over 39 of 17 and they defeated the one seed in the North Central Catholic 14 and nothing a huge win for them at Central Catholic to get to this game.
Third and three coming up for ST John's Prep as they break the huddle stream.
CAF Celtics. Monday.
I'm either gonna do that.
Or Monday Night Football.
Um, hold on. I'll get to that in a second.
More about this game.
This will be a all it says.
Q B snake. But the ball came out.
Catholic Memorial has recovered it.
No, they're going to call him down.
They're gonna call him down.
Wow! Catholic Memorial recovered the fumble and recovering.
It was Colby Spencer, but they said the knee was down for the quarterback.
Crowley, it was a Q B sneaky rented right down the middle.
Oh, that ball came out.
I think before there is no review in high school football, I need to see it again.
But they give them the first down, and this will be handed off taken right down the middle.
The tackle made almost immediately that time it was guy with the carry for ST John's Prep.
Monday Night Football because your Eagles are horrible in the Giants. Are, too.
All right, we'll see. We'll see Avery.
I mean, the Eagles are still trying to make the playoffs, so it's still it's still a big game for them.
Yeah, really, Rob? Yeah, There you go.
So we're four minutes into the first quarter second and eight for ST John's.
Prep Crowley is the quarterback for the Eagles.
No, Neither team has thrown the value.
In a timeout by ST John's Prep, each team gets three time outs like like how it is in the NFL each half that ISS 5 45 54 remaining in the first quarter.
The great thing about it is there's no commercial breaks except at the end of the quarter.
So we're a fast moving here.
Ah, 40 minute game, 4 10 minute quarters.
The whole season is for 12 minute quarters, so the games are shortened by eight minutes in the Super Bowl.
The reason for that is because that's the only way they can fit all of the games.
And there's eight divisions in Massachusetts high school football, and that's the only way they can fit all the games.
And there were two games last night.
Divisions two and eight, and then Divisions 131 and three through eight were today starting at 9 a.m.
Brian ST Pierre is the ST John's prep head coach, so the game started at 9 a.m.
then 11 1 33 36 now eight o'clock.
So it's been mourning tonight at Gillette Stadium, and you know a great opportunity for all these players.
Robert Kraft was on the sideline earlier, Um, hosting this event 2nd 6 And finally Crowley will throw. He's looking deep.
It's called over the top ST John's preference.
On the 25 the ball comes out, we have a fungo, and it's recovered by Catholic Memorial.
Are thinking a ruling down? I don't think so.
Catholic Memorial have recovered.
It's well, Stockwell, my goodness, want to swing a mo mentum there? The catch was made by Delaney of ST John's Prep, and he caught it at around the 30 yard line.
Took it all the way to about the 25.
But yes, that ball came out before he was down and a great job by Will Stockwell to hit that ball out and recovered as well.
Wow, it could have been a big play for ST John's Prep.
Instead, Catholic Memorial forced the fumble and they recover it.
Wow, big turn of events just like that.
And for joining the broadcast, I hope you're having a good night, and I appreciate you tuning in.
The Buffalo Bills aimed for the season changed in a month from just making the playoffs into taking a time.
The division I know, I know, Rob.
It that Patriots Bills game in two weeks could be huge.
This will be tossed back and taking on the right side, and the spin around move is Shiloh White with the ball came out.
This is recovered by ST John's Prep.
We've got two fumbles on two plays.
Can you believe it? Back to back fumbles and forcing the fumble there for ST Shawn's prep was Baldini.
Wow, won a first quarter.
How about it? Two fumbles in the road you would expect in for two teams their Division one powerhouses, that there wouldn't be this many turnovers.
Shiloh White was attempting a spin around, moving the ball just got popped out in recovered by ST John's Prep.
And they are in great field position.
What is going on? Karam Welcome in.
So ST John's prep takes over the 14 yard line of CME.
Now the throw from Crowley going for the end zone. It's incomplete.
It was just out of the reach of McGee, the tight ends.
It wasn't a bad look from from Crowley.
Just the throw a tad bit off.
By the way, what's up, Karam? I appreciate you joining the broadcast.
What is going on, Everybody? I will say the temperature is 21 degrees, and it feels like 17 actual at Stadium tonight.
So it is a chilly one.
The hand warmers and full effect.
Second in 10 5 33 remaining in the first quarter.
These are fast moving quarters.
All right, here we go.
It's at the 15 yard line.
This will be tossed back, taking it down the middle inside the five touchdown ST John's Prep ST John's prepper on the board and it's guy with the carry into the end zone.
It's six. Nothing.
They lead it, and the fans are going crazy at you.
Let Stadium you know a great great showing from the students and parents of these players and a nice cutback there by guy, and he took off into the end zone for a ST John's prep touchdown.
They strike first.
I mentioned earlier.
These two teams met earlier in the season.
Catholic Memorial 1 34 to 32.
It was a great game.
These two teams met last year in the Super Bowl. ST.
John's prep one that one.
So it's a rematch once again.
This year, Actually.
Now the extra point is up and it's good through the left upright. And it's seven.
John's prep in the lead with five 26 remaining in the first quarter.
They're running back with a 14 yard touchdown run.
It all started with that turnover forced by ST John's Prep, and they took over in prime field position.
You went to the Mavs game today.
Cool. Cool, Karam.
How how was that? That must have been awesome.
That's great, man.
And so we're midway through the first quarter.
John's prep up seven. Nothing.
They will not kick it off to Catholic Memorial in high school.
The Kickoffs air from the 40 yard line about the score.
He I know every day you live in Pennsylvania.
Hint, you know? Yeah.
I'm changing it up a little bit tonight.
Doing one high school game for you.
It's, you know, the biggest high school game in Massachusetts.
The state final Division one, but yeah, hi.
Understand? Trust me.
Thanks, Tom, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on, Tom. Welcome in.
We'll go back and drop it around the 20 and it will now be returned.
Running to the left side is Shiloh White, white, well running out of bounds about the 28 yard line.
Shiloh White, one of their star players at running back.
You definitely tor Heart Franklin a few weeks ago.
Actually, the last round was three weeks ago.
Believe it or not, it was 2022 days ago, that Catholic Memorial played 21 days ago for ST John's Prep in the playoffs.
They did have their Thanksgiving in each team in Massachusetts, the every year there, you play arrival on Thanksgiving Day.
The game doesn't mean anything except bragging rights, really over your arrival.
So they didn't play on Thanksgiving, but they haven't played a competitive game in about three weeks.
Yes, Ryan school is in this game.
They're the ones who just got a touchdown.
Avery up? Yes, that ST John's Prep.
That's Ryan School.
Yes, all right, this will be handed off and Shiloh Light on.
Lee gets to about the 30 before he has taken back by quite a few players on the ST John's prep defense.
Am I straight streaming Bruins capitals? Wednesday night rivalry? Yes, I am. Avery.
I'll be doing both the Bruins and Celtics on Wednesday night when Bruins versus Capitals and Celtics versus Pacers.
They'll be playing the same time, so I'll be switching up between the two.
But yes, I'll be on for that.
John DBS Oh is the Catholic Memorial head coach.
He used to coach Everett.
He had a lot of success there.
He stepped down after being there for about two decades and then goes to Catholic Memorial.
He signed with them a day later and look at that.
He's bringing them to the Super Bowl, a nice tackle made there by Aguero of ST John's Prep.
It's only about a pickup of one on the play for CM.
The past was caught by Zach Mitchell.
It's now 39 4 Catholic Memorial.
Thanks for the tip, Tom.
I greatly appreciate that.
I'm glad you're enjoying the broadcast.
Your fires beat Ottawa today. Nice.
I'm keeping my eye on the Bruins game right now as well.
Against the Avalanche, they were down to the one as you mentioned your third in the Metro Yes, you are.
And now here comes Captain Memorial.
It's Devon Marshall of all came out as the Catholic Memorial.
That could have been another woman was another scare for Catholic Memorial, but they recovered it.
And my goodness, the ball came out of the hands of it.
Was actually, Yeah, it was.
It was Devon Marshall.
A little bit of trickery there and just the hard collision.
The ball came out.
The ball was recovered by the quarterback, Barrett Pratt.
So Catholic Memorial fortunate to recover it, they will now have to punt.
True, True, Rob.
This will be punting and will be returned about the 41.
Avoiding a tackle here is Duchemin, and he takes it out to about the 45 yard line before the tackle is made by the big man for Catholic Memorial.
And that would be Tauron Robertson.
All right, so a little over four minutes remaining in the first quarter, it's been an interesting start of this game.
John's prep with the football up. Seven. Nothing.
You're upset. Pick this week.
Was the Bills reading the Ravens? Yeah.
I mean, we'll see Avery.
We'll see that should be a good one.
I'm glad I have it on CBS for the early games, and this will be handed off the carry to the right side from James Guy, who got the touchdown but not much going there as the tackle was made by both the tight end and linebacker.
Quincy, you'd say praying, handsome.
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, Rob.
That should be a good one.
You have Bangles Brown's. That's right.
That's that stinks.
There's limits right in the middle.
It's caught to the 32 yard line catch down the middle of the field.
Bye do Chairman.
Excuse me, Duty men.
And how about that? ST John's Prep making progress here looking toe.
Take the lead by two scores.
You're about to call your TV provider.
Yeah, it is the 2019 m.
A Division one Super Bowl from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Messages.
This is the throw of the top.
It's caught what a crab reaching out for the Antonia's do.
Kevin was into the end zone. He was.
Was he in? I think he was just short won an effort by do chairman.
Wow, A tremendous throw as well.
From Crowley over the top dude.
Shemin reaching out.
Almost lots of bounce.
No, he was out of bounds of the four before reaching out.
He did step out of bounds.
You do have Ravens bills, but you're not watching it.
Well, that that's a least good that you have two minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Heading the sideline for now is do chenin has made some big plays.
He's listed as a running back, but he can also catch the ball as well.
First and goal from the four.
This will be handed off and into the end zone is James Guy.
Another touchdown for ST John's? Prep James Guy with a second t D of the night, and it's still the first quarter 13.
John's prep pleaded.
And what a start to this game for them.
Oh, yeah, I know, right? Avery, even though he ain't defense, Yes, still, and now are they going to go for to know they were faking it there? Now they'll attempt the extra point.
Wow, what a start to this game for ST John's Prep Catholic memorial Got some work to do 49 states is more important.
Yeah, I'll be switching out between those two games and the kick is up and it is good through the right upright and make it 14. Nothing.
John's Prep over Catholic Memorial.
James guy with two touchdowns on the night and you know a quick cut inside and he was walking in.
What you heard from me is that he is just as explosive.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, he's looking great tonight.
James guy with a three yard touchdown run, his second of the night, his 16th of the season.
Yeah, I don't know an awfully lot about the ST John's prep team.
I know they're stacked, obviously being in the Super Bowl.
And you know, these are two.
These are two private schools, so they get to recruit.
That's why these teams are really good.
They get kids from 20 different towns.
Some argue they should be in there only, like my.
My school is a public school so we can't recruit.
That's why we got smacked by Catholic Memorial.
We were the last team standing in division one for public schools.
All the three other teams in the semifinals for private schools.
So that is the advantage these schools have.
They are loaded.
Eagles draft him. Yeah.
I mean, you never know.
This will be a fair catch.
And around the 25 yard line by Quincy, you'd say, And that's where the Catholic Memorial Nights will start.
Their drive 1 44 to go in the first quarter.
Thanks so much everyone for joining me tonight.
How about that? Passed over the top from Crowley and then the catch.
I want what was more impressive.
The pat, the past of the catch by new chairman and then do chairman's efforts to reach for the pilot for the pilot.
He didn't step out of bounds, but they ran it on the next play anyways.
And it's now a choose score lead for ST John's Prep here late on in the first quarter.
They have it from their own 25 yard line, and looking to throw here is practice. You'll go long.
It's that balls up in here for a while, and it's incomplete.
That one was nearly picked off.
Bye do Chairman Thought This is what I love about high school football.
A lot of these guys are two way players, and you know, even the quarterbacks on some occasions are great defense of players.
And that ball was hanging in the air way too long from from Pratt.
And in the end, the Receiver four Catholic Memorial.
Derek Seriously, Claire had to bat that ball down to make sure matter chairman didn't intercept it.
Machu chairman on the year, has 733 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
The Raymond's on the massive win streak.
You have to lose at some point.
Yet that's true, Rob.
They gotta lose at some point now.
Pratt looking to throw down the right side.
It's caught, and the catch is made that time by Daniel Lopez Lopez with the catch.
I think he was about a yard short of the first down.
It looks to be the case immediately.
When it was caught, he was shoved back.
It will be some third and two coming up.
This will be tossed back and running it in for the first down and more is Darius.
Look, Larry still on his feet.
He's still going.
He's still on his feet. Unbelievable.
Various LeClair and absolute force.
And trust me, I saw that in the semi the state semi final.
These first of all, the old line of Catholic Memorial is unbelievable.
They really paved the way for their running backs and you know they're running backs.
They're not the biggest guys, but they're strong.
This will now be a run down the right sideline by LeClair.
About a pickup of four yards on the place will be second and medium coming up 34 seconds remaining in the opening quarter and Catholic Memorial.
A little bit of something to be excited about here, making progress on this drive there at the 42 yard line of ST John's.
Perhaps this will be tossed back.
Running to the outside here is Jamal Griffin.
He takes it to the 40 and Jamal Griffin, the senior with his first care, he of the night Miles Sanders is looking good.
Yeah, yeah, So third and four for CM taking arrest this time on for this play anyways is Jamal Griffin.
He was an absolute force in this in the state semifinal One last play before the first quarter comes to an end.
Most likely they haven't the 41 yard line.
It's a big third down here.
Here comes the snap.
Pratt looking a throw to the right side's cut.
The catch is made a nice grab.
Their by Owen McGowan.
The tight end and no better way to end the first quarter than that for Catholic Memorial.
They convert on third down there, making progress here at ST John's Prep leading 14 and nothing after 1/4.
But they are looking to rebound after the slow start.
I'll be back after this commercial break.
Keep it right here on SportsCastr everybody.
It's the M ay, ay, ay High School football Division one.
I'll be right back in a moment.
State June's All right.
Welcome back to the broadcast, everybody and thanks swaggy for joining the broadcast.
I appreciate it.
It's Massachusetts High School football state final action.
And look at Shiloh White. Go.
He's still on his feet.
No, rather, that was seriously, Claire takes it all the way to about the 21 yard line to start the second quarter, and that's ST John's Prep.
The winner of Division one North taking on Catholic Memorial, the winner of Division one South.
Darius LeClair has 10 rushing touchdowns this season, looking to add on to that tally to help his team tonight.
All right, going to the outside here for Catholic Memorial in Shiloh.
Why he takes it inside the 15.
He's about two yards short of the first down, but a nice carry.
Their from white.
He just took off right after taking that ball 10 minute quarters.
Second quarter just underway.
Second and two for CM and nice blocking here.
But Shilo, I cannot get around the corner.
Ah, great tackle made by do chairman.
He is quite the defense of presence as well for ST John's Prep and now third down.
I don't know if you lost a yard on the play will see where they mark it.
Who is streaming or broadcasting the game? Ah, this is NBC Sports Boston swag into Yeah, it's the A local channel here in New England for the Super Bowl for the high school Super Bowls.
These games taking place actual at stadium all game long, so you have to live in New England to get these games.
But yeah, it is televised.
It's every year they do.
It's pretty cool.
This will be a Carrie here in the first down from Owen McAllen.
Or did you get the first down? He might be tad bit short.
No, it looks like they didn't get it.
Fourth and one, they're gonna go for it from the 12 yard line and this will be tossed back and charging in for the first down there is Darius LeClair.
You got enough for it and it will now be first and goal for Catholic Memorial.
Or maybe yeah, they got to the 10.
Should be first and goal coming up.
So there's eight divisions for Ah, Massachusetts High School football All eight games.
All eight Super Bowls played actual at Stadium.
It's a great, great occasion for all of those participating.
And you know, there's great crowds for every game as well.
The school's really have a lot of support coming out.
And yeah, two of them were played last night, and then six of them played today.
All six games today have been televised on NBC Sports Boston, starting at nine in the morning to this is the last game in Division one.
This is a character the outside the ball came out, the ball came out in ST John's.
The turnovers are killing Catholic Memorial It's Clark with the recovery on the fumble for ST John's Prep, and that's an absolute killer for Catholic Memorial.
Wow, it was a toss back to Shiloh White and Shiloh White fumbles for the second time in the first half, My goodness, something you just can't afford to do in a big occasion like this in ST John's prep defense.
Give them credit.
They came ready to play.
And for those of you wondering, the eight divisions are based on school.
Populations of the smaller schools are in the lower divisions, the bigger schools in the higher divisions.
So this will be a carrion taking it with the carry.
That time for ST John's Prep was once again James guy.
It would be cool if someone actually it's Dame using the front and rear facing camera.
Yeah, that would be cool.
Swaggy. Yeah, I No.
Yeah, that is a feature on SportsCastr.
You're right. That would be awesome.
Yeah, my school is one game away from getting to this point.
We lost the Catholic Memorial, unfortunately, So your thunder of a week along the road trip starting tomorrow in Portland.
Road trips can be tough.
And this Carrie Not much there for James Guy.
So it's 1/3 down in short, coming up for ST John's Prep.
A stop here by Catholic Memorial would be huge because, you know, even if it's fourth and one after this play for its third and two coming up, even if it's 1/4 down in one coming up after this, I think ST John's prep would just punch it because it's a, um, you know, they're still pinned back there all the way. Their own 17.
I don't think they'd risk it.
Although high school football is so fun to watch because they do take risks that you'll never see an even college.
And this Carrie will be enough for the first down.
Nice protection there by the old line.
And it was enough for a new set of downs.
Yeah, next year. Yeah, I know. So, Huggy t.
Yeah, that's true.
If my score don't make it next year, I'd probably go to the game.
Like if they had made it this year.
Although they had 35 seniors.
So I don't know what next year is gonna be like for my high school, but we'll see 6 10 remaining in the second quarter.
Thanks so much everyone for joining me tonight here on SportsCastr.
I greatly appreciate it.
ST. John's Prep from their own 20 online.
All the snap is fumbled.
It's recovered by the quarterback.
They're gonna calm down.
His knee was down when he picked it up.
The quarterback, Crowley and the coach of ST John's Prep.
Not too pleased about that.
And it's just like college.
If if your knee is down, If you're down without contact, that's where you're down.
It's not like NFL, where the contact has to be made and you can get up after going down without being touched.
Thanks for the foam finger swaggy.
I appreciate that a lot.
Thank you very much.
I'm glad you're enjoying the broadcast.
I thought I'd get one high school game in here since it's being televised.
Um, locally anyways, here on NBC Sports Boston and you know, I've been following high school football pretty well because my high school had a great season.
This we carried down the middle and I've been commenting the games for them all season long for the local TV channel, like really local within my town.
But hey, it's a start, something I can put on my resume as well under five minutes remaining in the second quarter, and I'm enjoying it as well.
I'll be doing basketball and hockey in the winter for my high school, which gets underway this week.
But, um yeah and you know, Catholic Memorial.
My high school played them in the last round, so I'm somewhat familiar with with CM anyways.
So 39 coming up.
This is a rematch of last year's final thank you swaggy D.
I appreciate that.
Have a great night.
I appreciate you stopping by.
This will be a throw down the middle.
It's tipped incomplete.
So that's a huge stop by Catholic Memorial, and they will now have to.
They will now force, I should say ST John's prepped upon.
I'm not sure exactly.
Let's see the replay here.
That ball is thrown and it was tipped.
Oh, I know that helmet.
Ah, helmet of a Catholic memorial defensive lineman.
That's very interesting.
So now the punters up.
It's a line drive of sorts and it will bounce around midfield and it will be down at the 49 yard line of Catholic or of ST John's Prep.
I should say so.
Catholic Memorial are in great field position to start this drive.
Still, plenty of time left in the half the time.
Not an issue at this point, although there is no two minute warning like there is in the NFL the Catholic Memorial nights so far.
Their first half possessions, four drives, two punts and two turnovers.
They have got a tidy up here and, you know, putting some points up on the board.
This drive would be huge.
In fact, I've watched a little bit of every Super Bowl today, starting with Divisions seven at 9 a.m.
And I don't think there's been a field goal field.
There was one field goal attempt, not one made.
This will be a throw by the hard hit.
The throw was incomplete.
Intended for Zach Mitchell.
What? I went through his hands.
The quarterback, Barrett Pratt, took a massive hit.
He seems to be all right.
Second, intend coming up.
Yeah, there was one field goal attempt earlier.
Forget which game it. Waas.
It might have been Melrose against Plymouth South.
I cannot remember, and I think that was the division for Super Bowl.
There was a field goal attempt as the as the clock expired for halftime, it went, Why the wide left? But in high school, football field goals aren't really Ah, huge part of the game.
The extra points are crucial.
Yes, although you see them go for two a lot when they don't trust their kickers.
But field goal attempts are very rare.
So you know, most likely, if Catholic moral right to get some points on the board, this drive, it would be on the field.
All this throw is overthrown.
That one was intended for Darius declare, but there's just too much on it from Barrett Pratt.
But he aired it too much.
So third down and 10 now for Catholic Memorial.
This drive could end quickly, although since they are at midfield, I think they'll go for four down no matter what.
If it does come down to that, they could convert here on third and 10 402 remaining in the first half.
The third down conversions this game ST John's Prep.
Catholic Memorial, two for five and here's Barrett Pratt.
He'll throw to the left side, and it's incomplete.
That ball hit the grounds before Daniel Lopez made the grab, and it's now fourth down.
What you Catholic Memorial do Looks like they're gonna plant it.
Actually, they're gonna try to pin ST John's Prep back deep in their own territory, Which makes sense.
I wouldn't be surprised.
I wasn't gonna be surprised if they went for it, but I see the decision making here.
Still no points for them.
It's been a frustrating first half.
It's amazing because Catholic Memorial looks so good in the game.
I went because they are.
But these two teams are just are just really neck and neck with each other.
This punt will be a fair catch of the 22.
It was 35 to nothing. Catholic Memorial.
We're meeting my high school at the half, and now they're down 14.
Nothing on ST John's Prep.
It just shows you how good these private schools are, And Crowley is having a nice night for himself.
The quarterback of ST John's Prep, Of course, ST John's Prep fumbled the ball.
But Catholic Memorial did so twice, running the ball, the same player as, well.
He could, he could.
He was, uh, he was.
You could argue the player of the game in the state semifinal, but having a rough night thus far, I need to protect the bullets.
You know, key and state final. Like tonight.
This will be handed off in to the left side, goes James guy and don't be pushed back and around the 25 yard line.
So a few yards on the play really Catholic Memorial have only allowed, on average, 15 points per game on the season.
They have already allowed 14 in the opening half.
So ST John's prep in the huddle here Because every yes, my teams do have a ton of championship titles.
Very true, Karam.
Ever since I was born, really, all the Boston teams have have ah have succeeded, you know? Yeah, I I am spoiled.
I don't know what it's like.
T not to not be success a successful sports city, I will say I will admit that it's great that happened to be born in a in a great in a great sports city.
Uh, that catch will be made.
The wide receiver.
It'll be second in seven.
He headed out of bounds, so the clock stops.
And look, the Celtics, Bruins Patriots all doing good right now You're hearing me, Rob.
Okay, that's good.
Were you having Were you having technical difficulties before or something? 13 7 coming up.
2 52 remaining in the first half in this one.
And Crowley with a fake hand off throw to the left side.
But still a lot of work to do here for dude.
A few yards picked up on the play was actually third and seven. My apologies.
So now it's four down and they will have to punt, I do believe.
They'll send on the punting unit and Catholic Memorial will get the football back to 37 remaining in the second quarter.
There is no two minute warning.
All you would know about having titles? Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, I see. I see what you Yeah.
This will be returned at the 45 out to the 48 yard line goes Oh, in McAllen So Catholic Memorial once again in great field position.
Can they take advantage of It is the question we will find out very shortly.
Still, plenty of time remaining in the half for not all the time in the world will see what they can make here.
Their offense has been quiet tonight.
Give credit to ST John's Prep.
Their defense has been impressive so far in the 1st 20 or so minutes tonight of this game.
See a Catholic Memorial there Points per game.
Season average 36.
They have nothing so far.
Wow, they they're an offensive storing machine.
They put up 43 points on my high school in the in the state semifinal, one round to go.
But ST John's prep.
Give them credit, shall you know? Pratt will go along and the past is picked off.
It's intercepted by ST John's Prep.
It's too chairman with the pick.
He is having an amazing first half do chairman with the interception in ST John's Prep.
Take over just like that, and Barrett Pratt heads to the sideline and disappointment.
I see what he was trying to D'oh! He was intending to pass that once a Daniel Lopez, but too much hang time once again and, you know, give credit to do chairman.
He read it all the way with the interception in ST John's Prep.
Just like that. Have the ball again.
Catholic Memorial can get no consistency going offensively whatsoever.
They will start from their own 25 here or 24 rather, and now they have time.
This will be tossed back.
They have two timeouts left in the half.
We're running to the outside of James Guy.
He's still on his feet with them.
Step farms the heads on a bandage around the 38 James Guy, also having an amazing first half, has both touchdowns on the night he did get out of bounds to the clock stops with 201 remaining in the hat.
And now Catholic Memorial will interest Lynn.
Interestingly, take the time out.
What? No commercial breaks, Uh, except at the end of the quarters.
Time outs are, you know, actually used to stop the momentum of the game, perhaps, and huddle up.
Catherine Memorial might just not try to stop the momentum of ST John's prep because an NFL let's be on.
It's pretty much every time out is usedto to stop the clock or avoided DeLay game they're not actually used for have time outs are used in other in other games.
Once in a while.
In other sports, I should say like like basketball and stuff in hockey at the end of games.
You know, when you pull the goalie and wanna come up with the game plan in the last minute but up, you know, in high school football, it might be used like it is in other sports.
Brad Stevens is a great coach.
Yeah, he is. He is.
He is a great coach.
Um, this will be a handoff fan.
That's a nice pickup on the plane.
Under two minutes remaining in the half.
The carry their by.
Guess who? James guy.
He's their man running the ball.
I was quick to figure that out early on in this one.
Yeah, I wish Brad Stevens just be a little more authority.
Have a little more authority over things.
Sometimes I just feel like he lets them, you know, like Marcus Smart taking a 1,000,003 point shots.
I wish you would just tell him to stop.
You know, sometimes I feel like he's a little hesitant Thio to really take over the team.
But he is a great coach, No doubt.
Um, once in a while, though, I'm a little critical of him.
But, you know, second and five coming up for ST John's.
Prep the Eagles on the move here, looking to make it a three score game.
They got a bunch formation except one receiver on the far side.
This will be tossed back to James Guy guy looking for the gap, and he's pushing his way.
But Catholic Memorial.
Bring him back and it's now James guy with the Carrie.
It's now 1/3 down and three coming up, and we'll Catholic memorial now use a time out.
It might be the case because they yeah, they called a time out.
So now they have an opportunity.
Get the ball back.
If they make a stop here, call their last time out.
You know, you never know when high school football there could.
The punt could be, ah, could be a disaster.
So let's take a look at the M I A.
A Super Bowl today in Division seven.
Early in the morning, Abington defeated Lester, 21 7 Then Division six Ashland took down Bishop Fenwick, 28 2 22 Indy five Swamps Get beat.
Nothing in Division four.
Melrose took down Planet's South 28 to 13.
And then Division three Springfield's Central took down Jock, sparing a dominating performance, 38 to 13 and now the nightcap or in Division one here in the second quarter. ST.
John's Prep leading Catholic Memorial Fortune and nothing has been a great day at Gillette Stadium.
You can't stand Jason Garrett.
I know you can't stand up.
So it's fourth and three coming up.
I think I said third and three.
And it is fourth down coming up.
So ST John's prep, It looks like they might decide to go for it here.
Yeah, they're gonna go for it from their own 45.
This is a big play coming up the way their offense has been going, though tonight I would be surprised if they do get it forth.
And three, Maybe they're trying to get Catholic Memorial to jump offside.
Perhaps that might be the case.
46 seconds remaining in the half, and that's what they're gonna d'oh.
Maybe not. They're still lined up.
Are they gonna hike this one? Yes, they well.
And now the Q B steak.
But Catholic Memorial.
Stop Crowley, and that's a turn over on downs.
Wow, I didn't understand that at all of ST John's Prep.
I thought they were gonna just trying to get Catholic Memorial to jump offside because they still had two timeouts.
They could've just called a timeout.
You know, try to get Catholic Memorial to jump offside and pick up the first down, um, and use use up that play clock to try to force them to do so.
But then they ended up going for it, and they just didn't seem on the same page there as Crowley took down the quarterback sneak that was never going to work there.
I'm not sure what the decision making was there, and now they give Catholic Memorial a chance with the ball.
One time out left 41 seconds remaining in the half at the 45 yard line of ST John's Prep.
Let's see what they can do with it.
Pratt going deep down the left side over the top, and it's a complete that one intended deep for Daniel Lopez and went through the hands in the end, kind of over his shoulder There.
It would have been a tough it would have been.
It was a tough catch to make would have been an amazing catch, and Lopez might have got tripped up there That might have affected him as well.
But no one or no pass interference under chairman.
Just, uh, you know, all that happened there was Daniel Lopez tripping over the legs off do chairman second and 10 coming up 35 seconds left in the half.
Catholic Memorial Looking to get something going here on offense before the half comes to an end, Let me throw down the right side.
It's over the top down the sideline.
It's out of the reach of McGowan and complete a lot of incompletion so far tonight for CM.
Hey, so in McGowan trying t o reach out and make the play.
But it was a little bit overthrown by Barrett Pratt.
Nice coverage in the back field by the cornerback and running back for ST John's Prep Mitchell, now 30 seconds on the clock.
Third and 10 Pratt over the top.
It's picked off.
It's another interception, and it's yet a gang do Chen in one night is having, and we're still in the first half.
Another interception thrown by Barrett Pratt and Catholic Memorial are desperate for halftime.
At this point, it's been a rough, rough night for him so far for Berit Pratt in this Catholic Memorial offense.
Wow, unbelievable, Mattoo chairman.
With the second interception of the night.
The wide receiver can also play defense quite well as Ah, we are seeing tonight first and 10 from the 25 yard line with 25 seconds on the clock.
But ST John's prep will just need and be content with the lead they have at halftime.
20 minutes in the books, folks.
The ST John's Prep Eagles 14.
The Catholic Memorial Nights. Nothing.
Wow, when the Cowboys lose next week, Yeah, you'll be furious with them.
I bet she seemed pretty up.
Make sure you stay tuned for the halftime report here on SportsCastr.
Your score at the half in the m I A.
A high school football Division, one Super Bowl ST John's Prep 14.
Catholic Memorial. Nothing.
Calendar Memorial With a lot of work to do in the final 20 minutes, we will see what the second half brings us.
I'll recap the first up and all the action earlier today.
Actual ex stadium in the high school Super Bowls.
After this break, make sure you keep it right here on sports cash.
Thanks for tuning in, everybody all right, Welcome back in, everybody.
Thanks so much for joining me tonight. Here on SportsCastr.
What a great day it has been Atul at Stadium.
You know, it's such a cool experience for all of these high school athletes.
Thio participate in the M I A High school Football Super Bowls divisions one through eight in our game here, the night capper in the M I A.
A Division one Super Bowl.
John's prep leads at halftime.
14 and nothing over Catholic Memorial.
Remember, these teams faced off in last year's Super Bowl? ST John's prep? One that meeting, and they're looking to go back to back.
Catholic Memorial has other plans, but it was all ST John's prep in the first half Catholic Memorial were just struggling offensively.
There wasn't really a huge issue with the defense, really, because the turnovers offensively is what put ST John's prep in great position.
Thio put those two touchdowns up on the board.
It'll be interesting.
Second half coming up in, You know, a really, really fun day at you.
Let Stadium all the way from 9 a.m.
To what will end up being past 10 p.m.
Here in New England's.
And it's a great opportunity for all these athletes and what's pretty cool about it as well.
As you know, in less than 24 hours on this very field actual at Stadium, the Patriots will be taken on the Chief's.
I think that's pretty cool.
And, you know, but focusing back to to the our game here, Division one championship game.
You know, I think I think the best game of the day, you know, one because of his Division one.
No doubt they're They're they're a great lower division.
Teams like Springfield Central Division Free, like Mansfield in d two.
It depends on the size of your school, really.
But But these private schools in D one have quite legit programs and ST John's prep meeting, Catholic Memorial for the second time in as many years.
And how that the first half from James Guy, he ran it in for a touchdown with about five and 1/2 minutes remaining in the first quarter.
That's what got the scoring going for the Eagles.
And they're, ah, student section, enjoying every second of it.
James Guide Junior with two rushing touchdowns in the first half.
And then he had another two yard touchdown run with 1 44 meaning the first course above touchdowns coming in the first quarter.
And, yes, Catholic Memorial limited them in in the in the second quarter, but their offense still couldn't get going.
And that will need to change in the second half, obviously, if they want to get back into it, because I'm sure ST John's prep or are going to keep the foot on the gas and look to extend on the two score lead they already have.
And how about two chairmen of ST John's prep as well? He's at a ah, great game, you know, it was interesting because, you know, the start times are very interesting, starting with the morning game for Division seven and nine AM start.
No players are usedto Ah, big game like this starting that early? Um, really.
All season long, the Thanksgiving game is as early as it gets a 10 a.m.
But that's rare that all the other games are, at least at one PM in the afternoon, usually at night.
This game is even later than they usually are.
Usually, the night games are at 7 p.m.
On Friday nights.
This one a Saturday night game that ended up starting around around 8 20 so late. Late start.
Since the Super Bowls are right on top of one another, you don't get any warm up time on the field.
The trophy presentations are off the field, except for this one, because it is the last game, because they have to get the next teams on the field to get all the games in throughout the day.
It's very interesting, but they make it work.
It's a great event, and I'll be back with more on the halftime report here on SportsCastrs Division one M I A.
A Super Bowl here on SportsCastr and Catholic Memorial, down 40.
Nothing at the half.
I'll be right back with more ****ysis and coverage of the Super Bowl, Uh, in high school football for Massachusetts.
After this quick break, Stay tuned.
Everybody all right, I am back.
Everybody, thanks so much for joining me tonight.
Your halftime score in this one is Catholic Memorial zero, Saint John's Prep 14 and a rematch from last year's Super Bowl.
And these these two teams played early in the season as well.
Catholic Memorial got the win, 34 to 32 but the story of the first half, let's face it, was four turnovers from Catholic Memorial.
Two fumbles, two interceptions.
That's really what killed them that half.
And you know, both fumbles put ST John's prep in great field position and then both interceptions.
We're like, right when the drive started for them.
So that's why they haven't been able to get in any rhythm whatsoever.
Offensively speaking, you just can't afford to turn over the ball like that in a great team like ST John, Sprint will make you pay, and we're seeing line the first half be honest.
Looking back on that opening half Catholic memorial, our fortune, it's only be down by two scores.
I'm sure they will improve in the second half.
Barrett Pratt with a rough opening half.
We'll see what the third and fourth quarters bring us here on SportsCastr.
It should be an entertaining last 2/4 2 great teams to rivals going at it.
Make sure you stay right here because the second half is coming up very shortly.
Here on SportsCastr.
I'll be right back.
Everybody all right, everybody.
It's halftime of the Division one championship and ST John's Prep, forcing four turnovers from Catholic Memorial.
That was the story of the first half.
Lead it by a score of 14.
The second half is coming your way.
In a matter of minutes.
In the sixth game of the day, the finale and it was expected to be a grand finale coming in.
I'm sure we'll be in for a good second half.
You just have a feeling that Catholic Memorial are gonna come out ready in the third quarter.
We will see what that half brings us, and I'll be right back for that half.
Make sure you keep it right here on SportsCastr.
The second half kickoff is after this commercial break, I'll be right back, All right, Let's do it.
It's time for the second half.
Everybody of the 2019 m. I a.
A high school football division.
For those of you not familiar with what am I A stands for, It stands for Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association.
So here we go Catholic morning.
We'll kick it off to ST John's Prep on ST John's Prep.
Do get the ball to start the half.
We will see if they can get off to a quick start.
Has they did in the first half and, ah, you know, try to take advantage before Catholic Memorial can even have a turn with the ball in the stored quarter.
So here comes the kickoff.
It will be Jordan.
Allow Donny to kick it off.
The kick is up, and that will go to the right side.
It's caught at the 24.
It was caught, thereby ***an, and he was facing his own end zone backing up.
That could have been.
Let's take a look at the first task. That's the score.
14. Nothing. ST.
John's prep the rush yards in favor of ST John's, perhaps 71 to 61 passing yards 87 to 17.
The total yards.
ST. John's Prep Turnover.
John's Prep one Catholic Memorial four.
And Thank you, Cary for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Carrie.
Matt Crowley, The quarterback of ST John's Prep so far tonight.
Four completions on seven attempts for 87 yards.
Yet Both touchdowns were carries from James Guy and we start the second half here.
You're doing good, Carrie. I'm glad to hear.
I'm glad to hear that.
This will be a handoff and guy takes it to about the 32.
I'm glad you're having a good night, and we got some high school football action.
This is the State Finals or the Super Bowl, as they call it in Division one for Massachusetts taking place.
Atul let Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, home of the New England Patriots.
How about James Guide tonight? 15.
Rushes for 72 yards and to touch towns.
If he keeps that up in the second half.
My goodness, you'll have ah, a night to remember.
He already really does.
But unless they've got dramatically worse than you know, we'll see.
But this hand off not much there for a guy he has tackled almost immediately back at the line of scrimmage, and it will be third in about three coming up.
Maybe he lost the yard.
Perhaps we'll see where they mark it.
They are 10 minute quarters.
The whole season is 12 and quarters.
What's going on, Grant.
Welcome into the broadcast, grant.
I just caught the end of your Bruin stream.
Unfortunately, they lost the Avalanche, the first regulation lost at home.
I was keeping an eye on that game, a great job on the broadcast grant.
And I appreciate you joining me to tonight.
Here on SportsCastr.
In this and off will get ST John's Prep Nowhere.
What? The Carrie That time it was actually Q B sneak from Crowley.
The ball is taken out by Jamal Griffin, but the whistles already blew the play dead.
So, yes, since up, since there were six games today, there are eight divisions in Massachusetts high school football.
Two other game two of the Super Bowls were last night.
Since there are so many games in safe, it's six games in today, starting at nine AM all the way to the nightcap here at which started at around 8 20 There are there are only 4 10 minute quarters instead of 4 12 minute quarters, as they have played all season long.
So the games are sharp, huh? Are shrunken down Thio by eight minutes.
And now this return is all the way inside the 45 yard line of ST John's Prep.
Ah, great punt return there from Devon Marshall.
How about that? And Catholic Memorial in great field position? I've said that the last three times because they really have been a nice field position to start their drives, but it's been turned over after turnover for them.
Four turnovers in the first half.
Here was a recap of the night so far.
Three punts, two interceptions and two fumbles.
The team who beat my high school Franklin in the state semifinal.
The Bruins made you want to throw up.
Yeah, awesome to see high school football and sports catcher, though. Thanks.
Yeah, NBC sports boss has been showing the Super Bowls all day long, Grant So inside to do it.
And getting nowhere here for Catholic Memorial is Darius LeClair.
Is that another turnover? No, I think the ball came out, but Catholic Memorial recovered it.
My goodness, Lexie.
The replay here that that was almost another turnover.
They're running to the left side and with nowhere with nowhere to go, I should say was Jerry is declared to that ball.
Come out? Yeah, the ball did eventually come out, but he was wrapped up.
You know, it was one of those plays were he's wrapped up by about seven or eight guys and they just blow it dead.
So the whistles clearly blue before that.
A loss of two on the place, second and 12 for Catholic Memorial.
The snap it slow.
Here is Pratt under pressure, throwing left side and dining out for that one.
But not able to make the catch is Daniel Loeb has incomplete third down in 12 coming up for Catholic Memorial with 7 13 to go in the third quarter.
Yeah, that was the quickest hockey game ever. Grant.
I know that ended a my goodness, like 9 19 That's unbelievable.
Barrett crack tonight having a rough, rough night.
Three for 13 17 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Louisiana.
They have five class divisions. Okay.
Kariya? Yeah, Yeah, Massachusetts.
They have too many.
In my opinion, they have eight, but yeah, there's to be a throw to the right side, and it's caught, but not nearly enough there for Zach Mitchell.
So be fourth down, the medium coming up, and I think they got to go for it here.
Do I know if East Bridgewater made it? I don't know, Grant.
They didn't make the Super Bowl, but I think you mean you mean if they made the state tournament, they didn't make the Super Bowl West.
Bridgewater made the Division eight Super Bowl, actually, Grant and they won the Division eight Super Bowl.
But I don't think East Bridgewater even made the state tournament.
But no, they definitely didn't make the Super Bowl.
Only 16 teams make it out of the whole state.
Oh, the punt return is fumbled and Catholic Memorial cover.
It's exactly what they needed.
It's exactly what they needed.
With the recovery on the fumble is the big Man.
Zachary Goodwin, 275 pounder and the punt was fumbled and ST John's prep have just gifted Catholic Memorial the ball at about their own 15 yard line.
My goodness, it was a routine punt return.
But dude seven, who's had an incredible night coughed it up and that one's recovered.
You're about to congratulate the boys.
What, you guess that you want Comprising, Tied for the championship has ever got a team? L Oh, yeah.
And now I spend around move here by Jarious LeClair and he gets about five on the plane.
Wow, this has got Catholic moral right back in the game.
They go No huddle.
They did this against my high school three weeks ago in the state semi final run to the outside, my **** like by Excuse me LeClair.
He has nice blocking and takes it inside the five great job by the old line there.
And it's now first and goal Catholic Memorial with some urgency.
Suddenly a little bit nervous, perhaps, and taking it here with some great blocking once again is dear to clear.
The ball came out Wait a minute, but hath like memorial to recover.
My goodness, I shouldn't tell you that the temperature is 20 degrees.
It feels like 15 degrees.
Atul, let's stay in tonight it is a freezing one.
Maybe that playing a factor, perhaps, but still these air two of the best teams in the state.
Obviously, Division one final private schools they can recruit.
They are stacked and handoff here, but not enough ST John's prep with a nice stop defensive stop there.
But there have been a lot more turnovers than I thought.
Yeah, well was right, Carrie.
What do I think? Your thunder right now, Karam? Um I don't know what's the record right now, Karam.
I follow the Celtics like I follow the Celtics like a dime a die hard fan for the Celtics.
Um, and now, limping off the sidelines, Barrett practices concerning sign for Catherine Moral nine and 12.
Okay, Yeah, I've seen a few thunder games.
I mean, they're an all right team.
They're an all right team.
I mean, you know? Yeah, I've seen a couple of their games, you know, they definitely need to improve.
They want to be a playoff contender.
And now it's been around.
McGowan Looking for the end.
So did you get enough? Jesse dead? It's a touchdown.
Catholic Memorial Catholic Memorial on the board 14 to 6, and we got a ball game at Gillette Stadium, 4 30 German in the third quarter and driving it in there is Owen McGowan.
Yeah, the Pelicans did lose the Dallas today up.
That's right, Carry up.
I know you are a pelican's fan.
And now **** a man down the field for Catholic Memorial.
And that would be Rory Connelly, perhaps a cramp.
Hopefully, this isn't a serious injury here.
This Q B is playing better than God.
Push for Blake Just had to say, There you go, Grant.
Uh, I know it's cool how NBC Sports Boston televises the Super Bowls.
I will say they've been on since 9 a.
m. this morning.
And look at that.
The story, This game.
It's the story of this game.
There's been six total turnovers, four from Catholic Memorial to from ST John's Prep now, and both teams making each other pay, and the extra point will be coming up.
But the concern right now for Catholic Memorial is there.
Man down the offensive lineman Rory Connelly.
He is a junior six foot 2 235 pounder and he will be able to walk off to the sideline, but not without the help of the athletic trainers.
So you know, we'll see what his status is of the night moves on and now out to kick the extra 0.
4 Catholic Memorial Is Matthew, so called so called a senior now and here we go.
The point after these are crucial.
These are crucial.
The point after attempt in high school is from 20 yards out.
So so cool is on for the extra point and snapped the whole.
The kick is up in its good through the left upright, and we got a seven point game.
Folks, we got a good one.
You know, these two teams, such such great teams, they get to recruit.
They get players from, like 20 different towns.
Ah, in the surrounding area in Massachusetts.
And, you know, they really turned into rivals of sorts.
And it's always a fun battle.
These two teams met each other last year in the Super Bowl.
Um, in that game, ST John's Prep did win.
It was a blowout win, but Catholic Memorial better even better this season.
David, my high school, 42 to 8 in the state semifinal.
It was 35 to nothing at the half.
And, UM, Catholic Memorial played ST John's Prep in the regular season, so they're meeting each other for the second time this season.
Catholic Memorial got the winning that 1 34 to 32 they were without their starting quarterback due to an injury.
You'll do this next year.
You're wondering when this was on the other day, so that's ironic.
Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, the ad. That's cool.
Yeah, it's a great occasion.
Yeah, and this will take a bounce and now will be returned from Wilma.
And he takes it out to about the 25 yard line with 4 32 to go and quarter number three.
And now Wilmot is done for ST John's prep the wide receiver and now the injuries piling up for both teams.
You hate to see this.
He is down in a lot of pain.
It's his right foot, perhaps the way he landed.
So the athletic trainers out to attend them.
It was, ah, hop, and he took it out and let's see here.
Ooh, it was a non contact injury.
Yeah, that's you hate to see that it's non contact.
He just He tried to get up and could not.
This is a This is a really serious injury, not the kids doing it. I know. I know.
I've commentated every one of my high school's football games for the local TV channel here in Franklin.
And you know, every game.
It's at least like three injury timeouts and, you know, to to really good players on Franklin broke that, you know, tour there.
Another broke their foot.
You know you hate to see it.
Yeah, they're the game before this in the Division three final was a blowout at the very end, about two minutes remaining between Springfield Central and Ducks.
Bearing a guy a sop****re on Ducks Berry.
I had to be stretchered off. You hate to see it.
They should have the kids content the games.
I know that would be cool.
They really should.
All right, so we got an injury time out.
I will step aside for a minute.
Stay right here on SportsCastr.
We got a good 1 14 to 7.
ST John's Prep in the lead over Catholic Memorial midway through the third quarter.
I'll be right back. Stay right here, Everybody.
All right. Welcome back to the broadcast, everybody.
Thanks so much for joining me tonight.
Yeah, we would have paid it, Grant.
Probably that That would have been cool if they did that.
Have high school kids commentate the high school Super Bowls? That would be That would be pretty awesome.
So we're back to action.
This is really unfortunate.
How about how about this Steffy? The undefeated teams entering this weekend's Super Bowl weekend, West Bridgewater in d eight They lost 32 8 Lester and Division seven.
They lost 21 to 7.
Amherst In Division five, they lost 21 to nothing.
And then Melrose and D for finally broke the curse.
They won 20 to 13 to remain undefeated.
Catholic Memorial, also undefeated in this heading into this one, looking to not just win the Super Bowl, but also cap off an undefeated season, which would be really something special.
And now the stretcher is being brought out.
You hate to see this.
It's it's the right foot.
I should say of Wilmot, and this is really unfortunate.
Unless he did hear high school, you wouldn't make it.
Yeah, Yeah, This really does kill the Anel Grant.
And there was such a good rhythm going on in this game.
And then suddenly, with an injury like this, you know, it stops the whole mo mentum, and suddenly it's just, you know, ST John's Prep, losing a really good player as well.
You hate to see it, so everything just suddenly stopped.
It's really silent now at Gillette Stadium.
Great crowd in attendance all day long, really, for all six games.
But this is unfortunate to see as well not will be taken off on a stretcher.
There was non contact injury.
I don't speculate, but it seems really bad.
And you hate to see it because this is the last game of the season two.
The last thing you want to be doing is rehabbing during the off season.
You know, a man you hate to see it.
It's really unfortunate.
Yeah, and his teammates coming over Pat him and, you know, hats off to Wilma as he gives the fist pump to the crowd, tryingto cheer on his team for the for the rest of this game.
You know, unfortunately, he will not be able to participate in the final 15 minutes or more.
Perhaps if this one war to go to overtime.
Um, it's you hate to see it Charlie Wilmont heading off on a stretcher and we'll see how both teams in particular Saint John's prep, responds after Ilia.
At least five minutes of just a stoppage.
They're for an injury.
More like probably seven.
We're back to playing football.
And, uh, prayers for will.
Not as he goes off on a stretcher.
Now, here comes the throw. Going deep.
Here is Crowley.
That one intended down the left sideline for Dulaney.
Why? And second down and 10 coming up for 25 left to go in the in the quarter or yeah, his parents must be scared.
Yeah, it stinks.
Yeah, You hate to see it, but is the reality, you know? Ah, football in particular.
But that one was non contact.
That injury, you know, it was just a freak accident that can happen in all sports.
You hate to see its second intend this will be tossed back and get nothing.
That time is James Guy, a nice tackle made on the plane.
Samuel Samuel with the tackle there back at the line of scrimmage.
No gain that time for a guy who's already had two touchdowns, both touchdowns, on the night for the ST John's Prep Eagles and Samuel fired up about that one.
It was actually a loss of three on the play. Believer run.
I thought he may be lost a yard or two? No, it was 3/3 and 13 now for ST John's Prep Catholic Memorial coming alive in this third quarter shotgun formation.
Here's the snap.
Crowley launches this one.
It's dropped its dropped by do chairman.
I think he would have got the first down if he had need the grab.
It was a great throw by Crowley.
Just a, uh, a miscue.
They're onto Chairman's ends.
I mean, he really should have made the catch.
I think maybe the throat, perhaps a little short, a little low, but I'm putting most of the blame that time on.
Do chairman on ST John's Prep will have toe punt as a result, so Katherine Morey will get the ball back with a chance to tie this game up.
Oh, the punters way short.
Oh, man, that was a a bad punt.
And where will the referees market? They'll market at the 43 yard line of of ST John's Prep Wow Catholic Memorial in phenomenal field position.
Once again, the best field position.
They will start a driving of the night.
Matthew, Chairman tonight for ST John's Prep, has four receptions for 87 yards. No touchdowns.
He's also had two interceptions on the defensive side of things.
That's what's great about high school football.
You got so many two way players, it's it's incredible, really incredible.
And, yeah, we resume play here with 3 35 to go in the 3rd 1st and 10 4 Catholic Memorial.
They start the drive.
Oh, a flea flicker here, but it's not gonna work out.
Proud is taken down.
That's a huge loss.
They lost about 15 yards on that play, and with the sack is the big man Smith.
Wow, the 325 pounders.
Would that put the sack? My goodness.
Enormous with the sack.
My goodness, he must be intimidating out there.
Barrett Pratt, with a huge loss on the play.
Let's see where they mark this one.
It'll be second down, I'm guessing around.
25 second down in 18.
They didn't lose as much as I thought.
Oh, I thought they lost around 10.
I miscalculate the yardage there.
All right, They lose.
Still a big loss.
2nd 18 to be thrown to the right sideline.
Over the top. It's caught.
Wanna grab made one a catch by.
Oh, and MacGowan, the junior six foot 1 225 pounder. Tight ends.
And that is a great catch by McGowan.
That boat could have easily been picked up by Mitchell, the cornerback of ST John's Prep, but instead it's third and two coming up for Catholic Memorial.
How about it? Haven't see all it's on.
Yeah, I know I'm bad Had calculating the yardage, so they take it all the way.
The 35 yards yard line.
Excuse me of ST John's Prep.
Third down conversions tonight.
ST John's Prep two for seven Catholic Memorial.
Meanwhile, 348 here we go 32.
And now whistles blow on the staff.
We got a flag down.
So the whistles blow left and right.
Oh, it's a false start on the offense.
That's a killer on the referees.
Boston accent clearly went through there.
He's false stat is what he said.
He let his accent slip up there.
A true Bostonian. He is.
So they now are moved back here.
Well, now, the third and seven a much more, you know, it was a manageable situation Still is, But a tougher situation Catholic Memorial are put in back up to their own 40.
Or rather, the 40 yard line of ST John's Prep is what I meant to say.
All right, here we go.
Proud. Under pressure.
Throw over the top.
The gallon still has some work to do.
Run said, did he get it? He landed around the 30.
Are they going to give it to him? I think he might have been Ah, half yard short.
It was a great effort by McGowan all They're gonna give it to him.
Maybe they gave it to him.
What they say practice limping off to the side line.
This is a concerning sign for Catholic Memorial, and now they'll put in a new quarterback for this play. Wow.
So incomes Connor Fitzgerald.
And this is a hand off my gal in and he'll be taken down.
They did get the first down on the play before that.
They were taking a while to put it up on the score, but they did get enough.
So on first in 10 that might be a loss of one of the players.
The clock is winding down here in the third quarter.
Nice tackle made on the play by Clark.
And, yes, it is a loss of one second, 11 perhaps the last playoff.
The third quarter here.
Coming up for Catholic Memorial Catholic Memorial, though right back into this game.
Give them credit.
They came out in the second half ready, writing Thio revenge.
They're they're rough.
Now the clock is or the whistles blow, I should say in a time out is called.
So time I do believe, was called by ST John's Prep.
Yep, ST John's prep use of their first time out of the half.
They reset the clock to 22 seconds and the coach of ST John's Prep, clearly unhappy right now.
Second and 11. Coming up for Catholic Memorial.
Thank you, everyone.
Who who is a part of this broadcast tonight? I appreciate it a lot, guys and hope you're enjoying.
I want to get a high school football game in this season.
And NBC Sports Boston televises all, uh, six out of the eight high school Super Bowls and I'm commentating the best one division want Division One? You know, people are gonna get mad when I say that because, you know, there are great dy two d three d four even d eight that they are great teams, but, you know, it's based on popular in school, but Division One, these private schools are really on a whole nother level.
I do think this will be a run right down the middle past the 30 yard line.
It'll be Thornton medium coming up for Catholic Memorial, and I'd assume they're gonna let the clock tick out to the end of the third quarter.
And that looks like what they're gonna do.
Perhaps trying to get one play in here.
No, they're not gonna be able to or are they? Wait two seconds.
One that goes off in time.
All right, This we headed off.
Shiloh White takes it down the gut, and he's in a pig pile in the end, and that will bring us to the end of the third quarter.
All right, everybody, we got a good one.
Two of the best teams in the state of Massachusetts in high school football taking on each other.
That stadium in prime time.
Under the lights, It's ST John's Prep. 14.
Catholic Memorial. Seven.
The fourth quarter is coming your way in a minute.
Keep it right here on SportsCastr.
I'll be back for that in a minute.
Stay right here, everybody.
We got a good one.
Katherine Memorial with the ball after this.
All right, everybody, I am back here on Sports Caster for the fourth and final quarter of the 2019 M.
I a high school football division, one Super Bowl between ST John's Prep and Catholic Memorial Catholic Memorial.
With the ball Barry Pratt looking to throw, it's oh, it's nearly picked off, incomplete.
It really should have been picked off, but there was on fourth down anyways, and that's a turnover on down, so, you know, really doesn't matter.
In fact, ST John's Prep getting better field position this way.
Most likely, you never know how far the return would have gone, but it went.
Oh, man, that was such a great opportunity for Clark to have an interception.
Couldn't quite make the play. And great effort.
Nonetheless, in the fourth quarter just underway and taking over on downs is ST John's prep Catholic memorials defense needing yet another big stop here, He's Jim Ramsey, L O L.
Yes, hey, is this'll be tossed back in a little hesitation here.
A nice tackle made on the play James Guy getting nowhere That time he had a great first step.
A Catholic Memorial has picked it up on the defensive side of things up a notch in the second half.
So ST John's prep back in the huddle.
Now they break to the line of scrimmage.
They go second down for the Eagles, looking to go back to back they wanted last year.
Can they win the Super Bowl yet again? This will be throwing.
Left side is caught in that the first down ST John's Prep The catch is made by Aguero, the wide receiver Joe Del Aguero, with the catch.
And now that moves the chains and you said it bounce for the Eagles.
That's a huge first down for them.
Nine minutes to go.
In the fourth quarter. We got 10 minute quarters.
Remember as ST John's Prep are in the huddle.
They'll now maybe slow down things a little bit, perhaps still a one score game, but they could change that on this drive.
Shotgun formation, one receiver on each side, guy in the backfield and he runs.
It takes it down the middle.
Katherine Morey will make a stop, maybe a pick up of two with Ford.
Progress there for Guy.
But that was all.
And now Crowley, the quarterback for the ST John's Prep Eagles, jogging over the sideline to his coach, seeing what the play call is this time second and seven.
They gave Guy three yards on that run some a second ago, so the Eagles break the huddle from their own 41 yard line and spent an entertaining game from the start, and it's gonna be like that to the final.
Till that clock, it's triple zeros.
This will be a throw.
It's incomplete. That one's incomplete.
Great coverage there.
Bye. Devon Marshall.
Yes, Marshall is a wide receiver, but he's also a pretty good defensive back.
That pass intended for Delaney, but Marshall was prepared and broke that one up.
Great coverage right on him, and he made sure there was no pastor appearance.
What is going on, Ryan? Welcome into the broadcast.
I know you're high school, is playing in this one ST John's Prep, and it's 14 to 7.
You guys air leading Ryan with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
And this time Crowley, under pressure, is almost sack scrambling to his right.
The past is caught.
It's a first down.
The catch is made by Delaney, and that's a first down into sea and territory.
College football is getting messed up right now.
What's going on with the, uh, with the SEC And, uh, what's going on with the A.
C in Big 10 championship games right now? Ryan, I have no idea.
Was conscience leading Ohio State 21 7 Wow.
Wow. Thanks for that update, Ryan.
I appreciate that at the half.
Okay, Yeah, I'll definitely check that out once the skin comes to an end.
But first we got some high school Super Bowl action to take care of here.
7 25 to go in the fourth quarter, first in 10 new sit downs for ST John's Prep and the Eagles running.
It's James guy again.
He takes to the 35 James Guy has two touchdowns on the night clubs.
Is annihilating Virginia.
Yeah, okay, really.
The Florida Gators aren't playing for another three weeks.
Yeah, that's what happens when you don't make the conference championship game.
Because then the bowl games aren't till, like, a whole month later. Yeah, I know.
It's pretty crazy.
Second and three now for the Eagles.
Looking to make it a two score game, which would be huge.
Oh, yes, you will only drop to three if they lose.
I would agree with you on that ride.
This will be handed off.
Taken down at the line of scrimmage by Jamal Griffin.
Great work from Griffin.
All these guys are two way players, and this has been an entertaining game.
Exactly what I was expecting.
A close game, these two teams pretty equal talent wise, These privates, these two private schools are, you know, the best teams in the state.
They recruit the very best players from the neighboring towns, and it's now third and two for ST John's Prep, a rematch of last year's Super Bowl.
Crowley will hand it off.
Fan Guy gets enough of the first down.
James Guy once again gets enough and a new set of downs for ST John's Prep Guy limping a little bit after the play but looks like he's all right.
5 45 remaining in the fourth quarter time of the essence for Catholic Memorial.
Meanwhile, ST John's prep using as much of that play clock as they possibly can.
All right, so ST John spread back in the huddle.
The time is chicken.
It is like college, though, where the clock stops on the first, when the first down on first downs, I should say in a resumes once there, once they're set.
Alright, here we go.
Crowley has time going deep in the captain's Maia touchdown.
It's do chairman with the touchdown.
It's a 20 to 7 lead for the Eagles.
Wow! And do chairman has had a nice night.
He's had two interceptions on the defensive end of things now getting a touchdown offensively, and the students of ST John's Prep are loving it.
They have come out in full force.
He has to touch.
Town is right, and with 505 to go in the fourth quarter Catholic Memorial have a lot of work to do now down by two scores.
Ah, big extra point coming up.
Wow, my goodness.
So now here comes the extra point, and it's through the uprights right down the middle.
Maybe the Patriots could use the kicker of ST John's Prep tomorrow 21.
The seven is the score halfway through the fourth quarter matches Shemin with a 32 yard touchdown reception, so put the Eagles on top by 14.
That is a huge drive by ST John's, prepping a killer for Catholic Memorial as well.
You know Crowley, the quarterback for ST John's prep, he can throw the ball.
We've seen that all night to chairman, had a nice catch earlier in the game.
He's also had two interceptions, folks.
Even he's adding to the night of his life on the biggest stage actual at Stadium and then adding on another A or a touchdown as well.
Along with this, too.
Interceptions a great throw from Crowley as well.
And you, chairman.
On the play, he tipped it up, then made the grab and walked in the end zone.
What a play there and tonight with a 32 yard touchdown reception.
He's the player of the game for me so far, and with 505 to go in the fourth half of Memorial, I gotta work quickly here. But anything can happen.
It's high school football.
That's what I love about it shall all white with a decent return.
He takes it out to the 33 yard line.
So the so the Knights and decent field position to start this drive off 4 58 on the clock, 10 minute quarters.
Keep in mind the rest of the season is, uh, 12 minute quarters, so the game is, uh, shortened by eight minutes in the Super Bowl.
And if you're asking life because they have to fit all of the games actual at Stadium six games today.
Actually, it's starting at nine in the morning, and that's the only way they could get all of them in in one day.
All right, this will be hand off to the right side.
Go Shiloh Light and he is taken down there at the line of scrimmage.
A nice tackle made on the play by Aguero.
Nothing there for CM and they gotta hurry things up at this point.
Hey, it's the Division one and I a a State championship here on SportsCastr.
Everybody, thank you so much for joining the broadcast.
It's been a fun one.
The commentate here on SportsCastr great crowd tonight and here we go second and 10 for the Catholic Memorial Nights.
Here's the snap.
Pratt looking to throw.
He'll go deep to the left side.
Is that P I? No, it's not.
No flag spotted.
Third down and 10 now coming up for 11 on the clock.
The pass intended for Jackal on.
That's the first time he's been targeted.
Tonight I do believe and yeah, the right.
I do believe the right No call.
So now a big third down.
Coming up for Catholic Memorial.
Do they throw it again? I think so.
Third down Convergence Tonight ST John's Prep. Four for nine.
Catholic Memorial, four for 10 practice throws a deep over the top.
Oh, it's almost picked off.
That was a risky past there and do chairman almost with his third interception the night.
Just not quite almost.
It will be four down, and at this point, if you're Catholic Memorial, you got to go for it.
And you know the game really comes.
Comes down to this for Catholic Memorial.
If they want to have a chance, even a slim chance they have to convert here on fourth down and 10.
Here we go, folks.
404 remaining in the fourth quarter.
It's getting noisy inside Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, the location for tomorrow's matchup between the Patriots and Chiefs.
Well, this is the season right here for Catholic Memorial, trying to keep their undefeated season going.
They're against the odds, and the staff, by the whistles or multiple whistles are blown in a time out is called by ST John's Prep, so ST John's prep uses their second time out of the second half right before the snap.
And you know the turnovers in the first half really have killed Catholic Memorial ever, ever since the since the second half of started spent a very good game, very even.
But, you know, Catholic Memorial in the ends, not quite able thus far.
You never know what can happen when unable so far, to, uh, to come back in this one, you know, give credit. ST John's Prep.
You know, they've kept it up in a Catholic memorial.
On the season they've been averaging 36.
1 points per game.
My oh my tonight is an outlier.
Just seven on the port tonight, My goodness.
They scored 34 against ST John's Prep without their starting quarterback in the meeting.
In the regular season between these two teams, 34 to 32 Catholic Memorial won that one ST John's probably looking for revenge on fourth down Tonight.
Kathleen Moore Memorial are one for two.
This will be a throw to the sideline.
It's caught Kathy Memorial first down, so they stay alive.
The catch made bio on MacGowan.
He's at a nice night, and they convert on fourth and 10.
How about that? Make it two for three on four town conversions tonight and they stay alive.
McGowan McGowan Getting out of bounds as well.
That stops the clock with 3 59 ago.
They have it right at midfield, cracked, looking to throw again.
He'll go towards the sideline, but that's out of bounds and complete.
He was looking for Daniel Lopez with the throw off target 3 54 now on the clock.
Still still some hope for Catholic Memorial and the coach of Catholic Memorial, John Dbs.
Oh, not to police on this fine line right now.
It's been a frustrating night for his team, but still some life.
This will be a throw and, oh my now the wide receiver Jack Juan will fire the past and it's incomplete.
I don't know if that was the intention by Catholic Memorial there it might have been, but the quarterback Pratt through it laterally to one and one, decided not to run it and look for the throw under pressure, trying to get it to Darius declared that the throw is off the mark.
Now it's 1/3 down and 10 at midfield for Catholic Memorial, 3 47 remaining in the final quarter here in the Division one M I a Super Bowl.
This we throw to the right side and saying, Complete that one intended from ago and he wanted the flag, but they don't give it so.
Another fourth down and 10 coming up.
Can Catholic Memorial convert again? We'll find the answer In a short while, there seemed to be a lot of contact there, but no flag was thrown.
The referees have really let them play tonight, right? That Alright, here we go, another four down coming up.
What will they do? And now look in the throw is proud.
You'll go down the middle and it's caught.
What a catch made the grad made there by Zach Mitchell.
And they convert another fort down fourth and 10 on both occasions and Catholic Memorial.
Continue to not give up.
Give them credit and they take it to the 29 yard liners so this will be thrown to the right side.
Step didn't complete and I will flag down.
You have a flag town.
Is this gonna be on ST John's Prep? It looks to be the case 3 28 to go in the final quarter All right, so here we go, the referees talking over, talking it over here.
Now here's the call.
Yeah, it's holding on ST John's Prep. Here we go.
10 yard penalty for holding on ST John's Prep in an automatic first down Catholic Memorial with an effective drive here.
It hasn't come easy, but they are making their way down field quickly as well.
They're getting the clock to stop as well, on either incompletions.
We're getting her out of bounds, you know it's working out.
So this will now take the ball.
Let's see where they mark it, probably at about the while they had it all right, so they'll put it inside the 20 Yeah, 19 yard line.
Looks like this will be a hand up and off goes seriously, Claire.
Inside the five.
He's furious that he didn't get in the end zone.
The clock will stop temporarily for the first down.
Catholic memorial does still have to work quickly.
Here is the clock will resume any second now, first and goal for the Knights at the five shotgun formation.
Gerry Sinclair to the left towards the middle, making his way towards the end zone.
He'll be about a yard short.
He's a yard short on the plate.
308 left to go in the fourth quarter of the time keeps ticking second and goal, coming up from the one time not in favor of Catholic Memorial will snap it quickly.
A quarterback sneak but buried Pred cannot get in, folks.
Wow! ST John's prep defense.
Not making it easy for the night's third and goal.
My goodness, Wow! To 40 now left in regulation.
Third and goal from the one shotgun formation.
Looks like Pratt's gonna throw it towards through the end zone.
You don't look to the right side and the pass is incomplete.
It was intended their former McGowan, and now it's fourth and goal.
Can they convert their fourth, or rather, the 3rd 4th down off the drive? Well, we'll find out in the second.
Wow, So here we go.
The ball at the one yard line Catholic Memorial season comes down to this play.
It's come down to many plays.
Hunters drive, but they continue to keep on going pretty much a touchdown or turn over it is a touchdown and turn over here the snap, but gallons under pressure and he's taken down that well.
Just about do it. ST.
John's prep defense comes up big, and it's Clark with the tackle, and they take over on downs.
Wow, unbelievable, really.
And the students of ST John's Prep are loving it.
My goodness, that was an odd play called, too.
Yeah, yeah, McGowan was under center, and I don't see how that play was ever gonna work.
The snap was was a strange one, and Catholic Memorial are finally stopped on fourth down.
How about that? So Catholic Memorial Have two timeouts left and they're down by 14.
So and Coach John DBS, oh, of Catholic Memorial are not happy at all is not happy at all.
I should say that quarterback there should have been a penalty on ST John's.
Well, there's a reason why the coach of of Catholic Memorial, John DBS, it was furious.
Now I look back on the snap.
The Catholic Memorial defensive lineman was interfering, and that's that should have been a penalty and automatic first down.
Wow, that's a huge no call by the referees my goodness, So now would be a handoff.
It's taken right down the middle on ST John's.
Prep is gonna keep it on the ball and not turn the ball over.
And they should be fine.
And when that yet another Super Bowl back to back years, it will be.
M will use their second time out so well, now have one more remaining.
They will reset the clock here and take down all the way to 1 55 They will reset it.
Oh, and McGowan does have to be the play of the game for Catholic Memorial.
He had that one yard touchdown run.
He gave it everything you got four cm, and ultimately it looks like they're gonna come up short.
But you know, an incredible year for him in this Catholic Memorial team.
He's made some nice crabs, nice defensive plays, a cz well, both teams in the huddle here on with the time out.
You know, McGowan, a big part of what kept Catholic Memorial in this game, really 21 to 7 ST John's prep with lead 1 57 remaining in the final quarter, ST.
John's prep with the ball second and seven from their own 11 yard line.
So here comes the snap and this will be handed off, taking right down the middle much and got the ball came out, the ball came out and Catholic Memorial takeover.
That's something I literally just said that ST John's Prep can't d'oh but they turned the ball over and Catholic Memorial.
Have it? How about this, folks? Stay tuned.
Stay right here on SportsCastrs because Catholic Memorial are not given up.
Wow, how about that? Hold your horses.
It's a magician.
I don't know about that, Grant, but wow, they turned the ball over.
And suddenly Catholic Memorial's still in this game.
This will be a toss back, and taking off here is Darius.
Look, Larry takes it inside the five.
It will be second and short.
Coming up or No, it was First in goes the second goal coming up and thank you, Tim, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Tim, Welcome into the stream, and now this will be another hand off in ST John's Prep.
Their defense has been impressive all night long, and it's the big man with the stop.
Smith I appreciate you joining the Stream tin, and, uh, this is the 2019 m.
A high school football divisional in Super Bowl 21 of seven.
ST John's Prep League Catholic Memorial, 1 10 left in this game of the Snapple's bubble.
Proud for the end zone, it stepped up.
Oh, it's caught a touchdown.
That was the one of the wildest touchdowns I've seen in a long time.
And what the catch is Zach Mitchell.
It could have been picked off, but instead of a touchdown, Wow, the ball is tipped and it wasn't even in the past.
Wasn't even intended for Zach Mitchell, but he's the one who ended up making the grab.
Wow! And here we go, folks, we're back to a one score game.
Catholic Memorial with a sliver of hope in this one.
You never know what can happen there, especially in high school football.
Some wild things happen.
It's what makes it so interesting.
And now, with 105 remaining in the fourth quarter, here comes a crucial extra point from the kicker, Um, senior Matthew so called.
All right, so here we go.
We're not quite done yet. Natural.
Let Stadium, and the player of the game for ST John's Prep has to go to Machu chairman.
No doubt he had a 32 yard touchdown reception.
Also two interceptions.
Unbelievable on both sides of the ball.
That's off to him.
But this game? Not quite over yet.
Here's the hold.
The kick is up and it's good through the uprights.
Yeah, I think Memorial's still with some hope, and onside kick will surely be coming up.
So this will be interesting here.
Remember, there was an onside kick in one of the Super Bowl's earlier.
I forget what division it was.
It might have been Division six, perhaps between Ashland and Ah, Bishop Fenwick.
I can't exactly remember, but the onside kick was not a successful one, just not enough on it from the kicker.
It comes down to this, folks.
Thanks so much for joining me tonight.
It's been a pleasure in the call the 2019 m.

Other kicker. He also punts for them.

Any do here? One last chance? Ladan E.
Excuse me with the onside kick.
Here's the kick.
Way too much on that one.
And no problem for ST John's Front.
They recover it, and that will do it.
John's Prep are gonna win the Super Bowl, folks.
Nice work there in the on the recovery by Cuisine Casino and some disappointment on the face of Jordan. La Dani.
The kick just way too much on it, and and here we go to knees and ST John's Prep will be the champions once again and back to back seasons in Division one, and the snap is taken down for a need by Crowley and one more and they're the champions, folks. Wow.
What a performance tonight from both teams but ST John's prep, putting on a show, unbelievable defense performance and offensively as well.
It was a game one on defense in the play the game has to go with.
I have to go with that play where the past from Crowley was caught by do chairman on a little deflection.
And that really opened up, you know, really gave.
Gave the ST John's Prep Eagles the wind.
They made it 21 7 at that point in the end, will win a 21 to 14.
