What's popping issued Boy, I don't think I need to say much because the title says it all.
Coach David Fizdale was fired and is main assistant.
Keith Smart was caned with him.
Today you go, Ladies and gentlemen, Coast.
David Fizdale is no longer the coach off the New York Knicks, and we'll see what happens from here.
We will see if Mike Miller gets the spot.
Someone has to step up and be the interim coach, so we'll see. We'll have.
That happens, and I'm gonna tell you right now this didn't happen today.
This happened last night.
All the particulars had to be worked out.
But this happened last night.
I don't know if Coach Fizdale knew when he did the when he did the press conference, but I'm pretty positive that he knew last night that he was came, that he was gone.
Knicks assistant Mike Miller and Pat Sullivan are candidates to become the in term the interim head coach in less than two seasons with the next Coach.
David Fizdale was 2183 and when you see that the Bacal, the humiliation that we suffered over the last two games.
It was pretty clear the writing was on the wall as far as what was gonna happen.
Yes, Ladies and gentlemen, Post David Fizdale has been dismissed.
His assistant, if smart has also been dismissed.
And if you don't want to take my word for it straight up and you could take a look at aging Well, General Skis timeline and he'll tell you everything all right there.
But I can tell you that I do know that this did not happen just today.
This was already in the world's last night.
Already in the works last night, ladies and gentlemen.
So now the question is, Where do we go? What do we do now? Who's next? Who's next? Who do you want for interim head Coach? Miller passed Sullivan.
There's other guys that were on that staff that could you, you know, maybe step up in there.
The one guy I used to be a you know, he was once a, uh in term head coach with the Portland Trail Blazers.
So where do we go from here? Now that Coach David Fizdale has been fired? Where do we go from here? And what am I looking to see from a new head coach.
All right, I'm gonna tell you what I'm looking to see from a new head coach.
Whoever steps up in is the interim head coach.
They've got almost an entire season, to be honest with.
You toe work with this group almost an entire season.
That's one thing.
Now, I was a little bit hesitant.
I'm gonna tell you.
You know, at one point I was I wanted Coach Fizdale to finish out the season, Then make a decision from there.
Not gonna lie to you after last night and we go watch my stream from last night.
I changed it up.
I was like, No, this is it.
He no longer has the voice.
They're no longer paying attention in.
He has to go. So that is gone.
So now who's next and what do I want to see from the next person coming in as the head coach? It's gonna be Mike Miller is going to be Pat Sullivan, right? They're not gonna come out and just hire a Mark Jackson or Jerry Stackhouse right now.
They're gonna go through a hiring process, know that kind of stuff, So there's gonna be an interim coach.
What if I want to see? I want to see that in term, Coats hold players accountable.
That's number one.
Hold players accountable.
Hold the right players accountable.
Okay, because whatever.
Whatever was said to coach David Fizdale, never you know so many people saying that Coach David Fizdale has been, you know, he he's being forced to thio play Julius Randle forced to play this player forced to play that player.
This new guy doesn't have those same.
He didn't have those conversations earlier, right? So the interim head coach can come in and say, Well, if I'm gonna be the in term, it's gotta be this way or that way.
I I'm not going to You're not gonna tell me who to play, who not to play in all that kind of stuff.
That's the one thing you know.
Hopefully, we get a intern head coach that has those kind of Kony's.
We want to see him hold the players accountable.
Now they don't have a lot of practice time.
So whatever it is that Coach Fizdale was running, whatever it is, they don't have to run some of that stuff.
We're gonna have to run some of those same things.
But can he hold the guys accountable and make them do what's supposed to be done? Can he hold those guys accountable and make them stay within this system? If there is a system, make them play the right style of basketball.
Well, see, that's what I want to see from the next intern, just the term.
I just want to see some accountability construction, so we'll see what comes next.
We'll see what comes next.
But let me tell you something and we knew.
It's no surprise, no surprise at all that coach David Fizdale has been fired.
But, man, does this look bad on the next organization? It just looks bad.
No doubt about it Had to be done, but it looks bad.
Coast David Fizdale was supposed to be Oh, he was such an important higher, such an important higher coach.
Fizdale waas me with Scott Perry, Steve Mills, and they brought in coach Fizdale.
This was supposed to be the star of a totally new regime.
It was supposed to be the start of a new direction for the New York Knicks plans robots.
Robertson says Kaleb C****es should be our next head coach.
That's the guy I was talking about.
He may do a good job, I don't know.
But anyway, it was supposed to be the start of a new direction for the New York Knicks.
Obviously, it didn't go that way, and we're right back where we started.
And all of a sudden, this next coach is once again the most important coach, one of the most important hires in existence, one of the most important highs in existence.
You know, Coach David Fizdale.
Once again, ladies and gentlemen, has been fired as the New York Knicks head coach.
Coach David Fizdale, on his tenure as the New York Knicks head coach, was 2183.
It's less than two years, 21 in 83.
Coach Fizdale and his assistant top assistant, Keith Smart, are both gone no longer with the New York Knicks, no longer with the Knicks.
So we're waiting to hear word on who the in term head coach will be.
Now. One of the Knicks are gonna do a press conference.
We'll find out soon enough only got a few minutes because, you know, I was on my way to basketball practice, but I had to jump on and let the news out.
And I do know for a fact that he was fired last night.
Wasn't just today.
They had to work through the particulars.
Don't we get to a couple of phone calls, though, before I get out of here? Caller, you're allowing other.
But next was popular.
What's going on? Hey, how you doing? I'm good, man.
How are you? All right, man, It's a good really.
It's a good day.
I got a couple of points to make.
I'm making really quick, man.
So who's going to replace some? I got four words for you, my man Claire.
Coach Julius Randle.
Okay, now, But on the real you here's my point.
We shouldn't stop here, man.
There's two more people that need to go.
If we're gonna start fresh, we might as well start freshman Mills.
They need to go.
Nolan needs to step up, make the right decision.
We all know he's not going anywhere.
If this is really gonna be the rebuilding, this is really going to be starting from scratch.
I think those two need to go.
You're not the only one that feels that way.
You're not the only one.
Thio doesn't seem like, you know.
I've been a Knicks fan for, I mean close to 25 years now.
It just seems like we never we never go old away.
You know? It just seems like we just We keep changing players, We keep changing coaches and you could look at the list.
It's never ending.
And a horn fact.
I mean, you know, I feel bad for physical.
No one ever wants to see anyone lose a job.
You'll have the 1,000,000 so he's fine.
But you know where the organization go.
Maybe we'll get someone in here in the short term, but long term, I really hope they don't go for the big name.
The Mark Jackson.
You know, I don't want to see a former Knick in here just because he's a former Nick.
I really wanna have someone in here that's gonna work with the young players that's going to run a system that's really going to do the right thing for R.
You know, I think I think That's the direction we need to go.
Man. I don't really care if it's a big name.
I just want someone that's gonna come in with with defensive scheme that realizes that there's a three point line in the points count more from when you're behind the line.
Because Fitz will never got that point, man.
So listen, thanks a lot for listening, and I appreciate it, but I love the show.
Please. It's a man.
Thank you for the Cory.
Ah, this is gonna be such an important hire this next.
Higher is such an important higher.
I mean, you gotta bring in the right guy.
You can't have another mistake, man.
You can't have another mistake.
We've got to do this the right way.
And who's the right guy? We don't know, But let's not just bring in a name.
You know, you got to make sure that this guy has the excess and knows no what you want to do defensively.
Nobody wants to do defensively.
Um, I mean, I don't know.
I don't know who you bring in.
Who's going to be the right person? I know a lot of people are saying they want Mark Jackson.
We just got to be sure that we're bringing in the right guy and not just bringing in any Joe smoke.
I see some people, you know.
Yeah, You gotta bring in the right guy.
Call the young lab inedible.
A kind of low man.
Uh, hey, Nathan it out.
That was going on a date there must.
Man, I guess you got the good news that we've been asking for.
You know, there was no longer the head coach.
Now he's gone, man.
He's no longer the head coach.
So who do you think? What's next? Who's gonna be the interim head coach? You know, I think I think a lot of people are gonna say Mike Miller because of what he did in the D League.
But I'd like to see what Caleb could do because he's actually been a head coach.
You know, even though it was mid term situation, he coached in it on n b. A team.
Um, I don't know anything about past Sullivan.
Sure what his background is, um, but I think either Caleb or for Mike Miller and do it.
But But here's the reality Is that both of those coaches, whoever's whoever made interim head coach is in a no win situation because Nick Nick San bases, they're not gonna want the mix to give a contract to a guy who's on his belt because, you know, his bail hires a staff that, like, um, an extension of himself and that I don't think they want anything to do with this bill.
Well, they're gonna try to clean house completely.
I understand what you're saying.
I understand exactly what you're saying.
My only my only thing to that is that each person still has.
They still have their own minding their own philosophy.
Just because somebody was an assistant doesn't mean you know you're gonna do get job as an assistant, but it doesn't mean that you're gonna be like Okay, well, I got to do it.
I'm gonna do it the same way Fizdale did it, right.
So, you know, they're still gonna have their own mindset and their own philosophy on how they think basketball should be played.
So it's up to you you know, it's gonna be up to to the Knicks brass to figure out if this guy can, Can can bring the type of basketball culture that they want.
You know, I totally agree with you on that end.
The only thing is that the Knicks right now are in huge disarray there, the laughing stock, their joke.
I mean, they're the budding of every kind of situation.
Right now, nothing's positive coming out of the Knicks.
So the thing is that right now Perry and Mills are on the real hot seat now because now says, Bill is gone.
So the next person is going to be up.
The fire is going to be either Perry or Mills now.
Mills of the Dolan guy.
He's been with the Knicks for 20 years. That's crazy.
Yeah, So I don't know how you get around for, what, 20 years? You know, Um, that's that's hard to believe.
But Perry's probably next, Um, because this ultimately was Paris choice to hire Fizdale.
So usually GM goes with a coach a lot of time.
Um, I think the Knicks have to do a huge extensive search for this coach.
More extensive than they did when they look for Fizdale.
They have to go to every option possible because, I mean, we can't just keep firing coaches.
I mean, we have, like, the all coaching fire team.
I mean, we've got coaches that were so paying.
We're probably gonna be paying his mail, too.
Yeah, there's no probably about it.
They'll be paying him.
He's not going to just give up his money.
Yeah, they're gonna be paid him.
We're going to be paying him.
And, you know, from what I heard, his wife just bought a house.
I was looking to buy a house down in Florida, so they'll probably go on a nice little vacation.
Yeah, the thing is him and I said this on the show two nights ago.
The problem is Dolan, that there's just too much of the old regime still there.
And honestly, the only way the Knicks will be successful going forward is Dole and sell the team.
I don't know what Coach you can bring in that's gonna turn this team around and turn this franchise around.
It's gotta start with Dolan.
Dolans gotta sell the team.
In essence, he sells the team then he probably fires.
Mills probably fired.
And you're talking about a complete clean slate in the front office to the ownership and everything else.
I mean, right now we're just putting a Band Aid on it.
You know, we keep, you know, we listen.
Listen, James Dolan is most likely not selling the team.
I don't know what you know.
We keep bringing, always bringing it up.
That James only selling the team is that it's not It's not gonna happen.
There have been rumors before about they would consider it was considering it.
I mean, in the losing, I'm sure I'm making it better, though.
There's always been a $1,000,000,000.
This is This is not something that's just as easy as Oh, yeah.
Hey, you got $4 billion.
Now I got witness the Knicks. All corporation.
They have a whole board of directors.
Yes, he is the chairman of the board of directors.
But there's a whole corporation behind this thing.
They're owned by the Madison Square Garden Corporation.
There's a whole big thing behind it.
You don't? I mean, um, I agree.
Listen, Dolan and I mean for the most part, but for the most part.
But for the most part, mate, he didn't have his hand in these decisions.
No, but he still has.
He sees he still has a guy like Mills still on his staff.
And I think, I mean, maybe he needs to like Mills go.
I I agree with that.
Maybe you need to let him go.
But he he he didn't have his hand in these decisions.
You just got He's got the time being. I'm sure.
I'm sure you make some calls.
Some of these players, I'm sure they went to him and said, Hey, can we? What do you think about this player? What you think about this player that's gonna be a some kind of day in there.
Listen, from what I understand what I understand especially like this, they they come up with their plan, they go to Don't say this is what we want to do.
Kind of reporting to him, Right? Right.
They're reporting to him.
This is This is what's gonna happen.
Boom, boom, boom.
Then they go in, they execute any owner.
You can say this.
Owners got to be hands off any owner.
He is the chairman of the board, so he's got a report to the board.
He's got stockholders that he has to report to.
So, yes, he's going to get a report so that he can report.
That's gonna be any owner.
They're going to get a report as to what's going on.
I it's hard for me to blame.
Don't for this one.
No, I mean States.
Of course I'm going to blame Don't for this one.
They let you go.
Men get some other people because I got a rock out of here soon.
All right, all right.
I'm just I'm just not I'm not on that way right now, folks, about the Dolan thing because I don't know, I just I just don't see where you know.
It's his fault right now.
And maybe he's just developed.
Maybe, is that he developed such a negative culture all the way throughout the entire organization that it resonates through to the Knicks.
But it didn't do that with the Rangers.
Yeah, well, Emma's de stock is doing well.
It's It's been higher than it is now.
It has fallen, is goes up and down.
It is doing well, but no, no.
Get to another call.
Inevitable Nix was apartment, but I don't know what's up, man.
No much under you, but, uh, you know, it's a big day.
You know something? My father, Last man.
We both agree that there's no way you can use any one point.
You can't lose 18 points to gauge the things you're gonna say the body language or something.
He lost the players.
Um, you know, I guess I better spray wand coaching him.
You know, we got 1/3 row.
Who? Something would be the guy.
And I think this time we got really, really, really, really know who's gonna be the diet.
Probably send that.
But we get the first week we need to get on the first because when we haven't got our first option, actually has not worked out.
So I feel like the next card on me it is their god they gotta make.
That's the perception.
They do whatever it takes to get the first house because the option B, they're not They're not playing enough about working out that I've only players accountable for me.
We're gonna happen now, since you need.
Even though we all know if I'm going to try to put this into this, they're gonna make Davis's.
So even though it's not always say they're gonna make you feel good cold.
But he was on that list looking very clear.
If it wasn't for methods already have on the culture and having the place that they had these days doesn't really do anything.
Well, that he got Connie, he didn't.
You know your car a little bit here, Marcus Solis.
Be a search five.
But other than that, he didn't do anything.
I mean, lucky was the only time you really traded their beautiful coaches is when he played his own against the Hornets here.
That's the only time I can really remember all of the things I did in The coach will be playing a zone defense like that corner.
And keep that one.
Um, I'm not like, you know, fire.
It says we have We have to do whatever we can to get the first option on this one.
That guy nothing.
Hey, I said I got a rock.
I gotta go because I got to get the practice, but I'm pretty sure we're gonna have a lot of plenty more conversations and things.
I may even jump on again tonight just to talk about what's next and where we go from here, you know? Ah, but I'm out of here, Ladies and gentlemen, but I'm not out of here yet.
I'm about to get eyes a off the phone.

He is old, the remainder of a four year, $22 million contract.
Again, Coach David Fizdale fired and he is old.
The remainder of a $22 million contract It was in two year two off four years.
Keeps smart, was dismissed along with David Fizdale.
And right now it's up in the air as to who's going to be the interim head coach.
They've got to make a decision soon because the Knicks played Indiana Pacers tomorrow.
It looks like it could be either Mike Miller or Pat Sullivan.
Maybe even Caleb Pinellas.
Ladies and gentlemen again, Post David Fizdale fired from the New York Knicks.
It didn't have its a day Tell you that it happened last night.
I know for a fact that happened last night.
They just needed to get the particulars out the way post David Fizdale fire from the New York Knicks.
Fired The Knicks were for 18.
