and today show we will be talking about a lot of topics.
We'll be looking at the Patriots running game and how it has started to improve, how it has to get better and how it will help the Patriots passing game.
We're gonna look at Deon Sanders comments saying that the Patriots are going to get Tom Brady a receiver before the playoffs.
But who will they sign? And how effective would he be? How important is is it gonna be to get the kill Harry and Jacoby Meyers to start figuring things out and play better? And how will they improve their game? The Patriots gave up a second round draft pick for Mohamed Sanu, and after a few games, the question has to be was to trade worth it.
And what Patriots player or positional group needs to step up the most in the next four games stretch in the playoffs? We're gonna finish off by what is the Patriots biggest concern for the Chiefs Games on Sunday? And, of course, everybody on SportsCastr get your questions ready because when it's all said and done, and we kind of wrap this all up will be taking your questions live here on d P n Welcome, everybody, It's your boy, Ray.

So the question that I want to start with today is the Patriots running game is starting to improve.
And how can the run game help the passing game? And how do the Patriots really get the run going? There's a whole lot of things to break down there.
Let's just start with the obvious.
How does the run game getting better? Help the Patriots passing game? Simple, simple, simple.
If the defense has to respect the run game, if the defense has to come in and worry about the running backs, it's going to open up the receivers.
The Patriots, deep for offense so far, especially over the last four games.
Really going back to the Ravens game has become very predictable.
And ever since Isaiah Win has returned to the team when they played the Dallas Cowboys, we've started to see the run game open up.
We saw James White run up some yards.
We saw Sony Michelle run up some yards.
We saw Rex Burkhead in his limited opportunities, actually come out and do some kind of stuff.
So how can the Patriots really get the run game going? And I think the really simple answer is is get all three running backs involved.
You need to get Sony Michelle involved.
You need to get Rex Burkhead involved, and you need to get James White involved.
You need to mix them up.
The other night, I was watching the A F C championship game, and it really struck me how well the Patriots used the running backs on one single possession.
All three guys were used at least two or three times.
Sometimes James White ran the ball.
Sometimes he caught the ball.
Sony Michelle would run the ball or they passed me going.
A blocking Rex Burkhead was mixed up into the play.
The Patriots have not utilized their run game enough not, I guess the running backs enough, not just in the run game, but in the passing game.
And I think when you play the Kansas City Chiefs, a couple of things you're gonna want to do is number one.
You're going to want to control the clock.
You're not going to want to allow Patrick Mahomes to hold on to that ball, be on the field and try to put up some points.
The reality is, guys, the Kansas City Chiefs are going to score points.
We can't stop that, Okay? They're going to score, just like when you play Baltimore.
They're going to score just like when they play Houston Nuclear, they're going to score now.
The Patriots defense is good enough to slow down the Chiefs.
They're good enough to not let my home's put up 30 35 points.
If the Patriots offense in***bent score 24 points, that could be enough for them to get the victory on Sunday and that's going to come and it's going to start with the run game.
They're gonna have to establish it early.
One thing that I've realized about Josh McDaniels as he gets away from the run game way too quickly.
Sony Michelle has been tearing it up, Man, if you look in his room, if you look at his lip again, limited opportunities that he's had, he has ran the ball.
He's running behind Isaiah Win.
I landed. Roberts is getting better as a fullback.
Keep pounding the ball, but use all your running backs.
James White last week that granted a lot of his big yards came in garbage time, but I think he put up like 79 rushing yards, 98 passing yards on the day, a couple of touchdowns was like a total of 177 yards.
That's exactly how the Patriots beat them down in the A F. C championship game.
Using all three of the running backs.
Rex Burkhead was only used on three rushes.
I want to see him used Maur against Kansas City.
I want to see Josh McDaniels keep the game plan simple, run the ball, run the ball, run the ball and that's how you get it going.
You get it by sticking with it.
I just found the Patriots have not stuck with the running game enough.
So How do you get it going If you're only running the ball 15 times a game over the last two games, they've ran it over 2020 times.
I think they ran a 27 times against Dallas and they ran a 29 times against Houston and it's been over 100 yards rushing.
They want to get it up to that 1 51 61 70 mark, and they can only get there by running the ball.
Tom Brady does not have to throw the ball 40 times.
All he has to do is 30 would be good enough.
Just establish the run game because once you establish that run game, you can start adding in things like play action and that kind of thing.
Once you had those kind of key elements to the game, the defense has to respect the run, and that's going to open it up.
Look how many times that let's go back to the A F C championship game.
How many third down runs when the defense was expecting past James White is on the field.
They're gonna pass the James White.
They love the past.
James White in these situations, and then he just runs the ball.
Kansas City wasn't ready for it.
They really didn't have an answer going into the second half, either.
And they won't have an answer in this game.
If the Patriots are gonna be successful for the rest of the season, are there gonna be successful going in to the playoffs and all the way to the Super Bowl? It has to be on the shoulders of the running backs, and once that happens once that happens, then the Patriots passing game will be better.
And that's what we need to see.
That's what we need to see happen with the Patriots, not just in the Kansas City game this week.
We need to see it against the Bengals.
We need to see it against the Bills.
We need to see it against the Dolphins, and then we need to see it going into the playoffs.
At the end of the day, almost every team the Patriot, the Patriots are probably gonna either see Houston, Baltimore, Kansas City, one of those three teams in the playoffs.
The odds that they're gonna play one of the lesser teams is nil, and there's also a possibility that I'm seeing the Buffalo Bills for 1/3 time in the season.
I don't like being a team.
If the Patriots beat the Bills, which I expect him to do, Ah, this again.
And when their visit him in Gillette, I don't like facing the team three times.
People start, you know, coaches start to figure thing out now, Yeah, I still figure things out on both sides, but it all starts with run game with that being said, and we discussed this a little bit yesterday, but it's something I wanted to touch upon again because my thoughts were a little scattered while I was talking about it.
Is Deon Sanders said that the Patriots are going to get Tom Brady, a wide receiver, before the playoffs.
And you know, there's there's this questions that arise from that number one.
Who are they gonna bring in and number two, how effective will that player be going forward? And I've used.
I used the examples yesterday, and when I was talking about it, right, Kenny, Bret, Michael Floyd, those were guys that came in.
They were never really they never really.
They got opportunities on the field, but they never really became a big part of the offense.
And then once the playoffs came, they were healthy scratches.
Antonio Brown, when he first came in, looked like he was getting it together.
Obviously, he's not an option, really.
He could be an option, but he's not an option.
Josh Gordon has really been the only guy to come in mid season.
And when we see mid season, I think it was weak, too, that he came back to the Patriots week Earth Week three.
He came in early, but he did pick up things quickly, so I just don't know who the Patriots Arkin, who Deon Sanders thinks the pages were gonna bring, are they gonna have to bring in a guy who's familiar with the system.
And if they are like, are we talking about Maurice Harris or Dontrelle Inman? And if that's the case, then I don't understand how they're helpful because, well, I mean, Dontrelle Inman couldn't even make it through camp.
And I know a lot of people will argue that if Maurice Harris didn't get injured, he would have been on the team.
But I don't buy that.
I don't see that that's just for me.
It's I don't I just don't see it happen.
So I don't know.
I think he's got really good insights.
He's usually pretty right about a lot of things, but I have no idea at this moment who Deon Sanders believes the patrons are gonna bring in.
Unless it's Antonio Brown.
And that just seems to be, I don't know, less and less of a story every day.
And you know poor Antonio Brown, in a sense, because the poor guy just cannot get over the fact that he's no longer a New England patriot.
I don't know if you guys saw his instagram post today of him and Tom Brady and I love you, big brother, and and I mean it's, you know, it's I rather rather him put on a post like that.
I'm the one who put you know he put on his story about Robert Kraft.
Obviously, you know, in a part of me just wants Robert Kraft to get over it and let Antonio Brown come and help the Patriots win their seven Super Bowl second Super Bowl.
You know, back to back and third in three years or 3/3 in four years.
But I just don't see it.
So I don't know who Dionne's talking about.
I know we racked her brain last night.
I know we talked about this in depth last night, but my brain was really scattered.
So I wanted to talk about it a little bit more clear headed.
And I think what I'm getting away with is, you know what, Prime, I love you.
You all know I love prime time, but I don't think that the Patriots are making that move.
I don't think the receivers coming in for the Patriots now.
Another topic that comes up a lot is, you know, how do you get Jacoby Meyers and Akil Harry going? And how do they figure things out? And how do they play better? And I guess another question you could add to that is, is how important is it that they get it together? It's a complicated question, and right now I'm looking Maur at Jacoby Meyers than the keel hairy toe elevate their game on Lee because Tom Brady has showed Maur of a willingness two more of ah willingness to throw the ball to Dontrelle Inman. He hasn't.
Tom Brady hasn't really showed that willingness to get McKeel Harry involved in the game.
I know that Bill Belichick said.
The interception had nothing to do with Nick Eel Harry's last time.
But, I mean, I'm not somebody in my life.
I don't believe in coincidences.
And it's just, you know, it's a pretty big coincidence that McKeel Harry doesn't see the field after that interception when, really, it was sort of a bad throw by Brady.
But you could tell that they is weren't on the same page so again.
And I'm not ripping on Nikki Larry.
I hope they kill Harry becomes around.
I hope he's the Malcolm Mitchell of 2016 and I hope that he comes out and he's a big part of the playoffs.
But I think it's gonna be up.
Did you really up to Jacoby Meyers? And, you know, you see some of the plays that have broken down between Brady and Myers.
Whether it's a dropped ball or instead of Meyer's going up the field, he breaks his round tries to come back to Brady, and I really believe that Jacoby Meyers has the skill, the talent and the will about that.
If him and Brady can get on the same page, he's actually got a better chance of being the Malcolm Mitchell 2016 Nick Eel.
Harry is is the future of this team.
Don't fool yourself.
He is the future number one of this team.
But the guys played like three games of football in the NFL.
He's still in, you know, and I remember in the preseason, pre pre prior to the preseason I actually this going back to training camp.
And I remember reading an article by Josh McDaniels and Josh McDaniels talking about rookie receivers.
Need toe learn as they play the game, and you only learn these mistakes as you play the game and you learn how to be a professional football player by playing the game.
Unfortunately, this year, I think that time is just going to run out on him to become that star of the Patriots.
You know, Jacoby has been here since all the preemie Jacoby had a lot of preseason time.
We saw the connection that him and Jared Stadium had.
We were a little worried, and Week, three or week three of the preseason.
Does it look like him and Brady couldn't get on the same page? And we said, Oh, man, how much is that hurt? Meyer's going forward, and I think it hurt his playing time a little bit, but we're seeing them get more time.
He really stepped up with Mohammed Sunu gone and, yeah, there was some hiccups and there was some blips.
But when we talked about the Patriots getting the offense together, I think it comes down to Jacoby Meyers because of Mohammed Sunu comes if you know it's the news that another week on that ankle, if he's healthy against the Chiefs, if Meyers is just a little bit battered to being on the same page, is Brady.
He could be the ultimate difference maker, and look, I la Jacoby Meyers attitude towards things.
You know, if you listen to that kid talk, it's always I got to get better.
I have to watch the film.
I have to get on the same page is Tom.
You know I have to do this after that.
He never, you know, throws anything at anybody, he said.
I made a mistake.
I didn't I didn't know what Tom was thinking, and I talked about that this week.
It's difficult for a rookie receiver to try to figure out what the best quarterback in the league who sees the game like an offensive coordinator, what he's thinking mid play.
It's not at the line of scrimmage.
It's not in the huddle.
Tom Brady is making decisions mid play and expecting his receivers to do the same thing.
I think that's why it's been disappointing this year, that guys like adult men aren't on the same page with him at times, you know, because with the always said that Dolphins sonars is, you know, as adult men like to talk about and it's kind of like, Man, you just want to see these guys get on the same page, so I gotta kill Harry.
You know what? He's gonna be the gravy.
But the bread and butter, I believe, has to come from Jacoby Meyers, and he could just get better by just keep playing.
And I liked it, too, giving him playtime.
I think they got to continue giving him play time, keep him on the field, let him keep building time with Tom Brady.
Here's the ultimate thing.
And I know I'm gonna talk about the chief's again today at the end of this.
But here's the thing.
Right now, I don't even care where the Patriots get seated.
I don't care if the pages got to go on the road.
I mean, I would prefer that they win first in the A F C.
And everything has to run through Gillette.
It makes things that much easier.
But what? I want the Patriots over this next four games, especially like next week against a cakewalk like Cincinnati.
I want them to start establishing those things you know, used Jacoby Meyers.
Target vehicle target.
Like your target.
Antonio Brown when he came on the same team to get him, adapted that offense the way you wanted Tom because come into the playoffs as much as the run games gonna be important, you're still gonna have to pass the ball.
They can start this week in Kansas City.
I think there's a big opportunity in Cincinnati and then the last two games of the year, and I mean that Buffalo Bills game is a huge game for them.
I mean, this is really one of those one of those strange situations because we're all gonna be cheering for the Buffalo Bills this week, right? We're all gonna be cheering for the Buffalo Bills to go off and beat the Ravens.
And if the Patriots can win, the pages are back in the A f C.
But for the Buffalo Bills winning, there's still only one game behind the Patriots.
And you know, a Buffalo win over the page.
It's in a couple weeks, really complicates.
You could see Buffalo look at that number one spot, so there's a lot to There's a lot to digest here.
So right now, I think the Patriots can't worry about the standings.
They still control their own destiny, but at that point, this is when they need to.
You know, I always say the Patriots season starts the last two weeks of December, so they got two more weeks to figure this out and in the last two weeks of December's, when they really got to come out and they really gotta play strong.
So staying on the offense, the New England Patriots, they gave up a second round draft pick from Mohammed Sunu.
I think that we were all excited about the new coming.
And I gotta ask, You know, the question.
After a few games, does it look like the trade was worth it? I would have really liked to have seen what's the new could have done if Josh Gordon stayed on the team.
Um, I'm going to stick with in Bill, we trust because Bill Belichick is a much smarter football mind and I him.
But at the same time, I would have really, really, really, really liked to see it happen.
Now, here's my thing about Seenu.
It's way too early to say whether the trade worked or not.
He came in really strong his first couple of games and he got injured.
He's still learning the Patriots offense.
He was hanging around and no huddle offense, which was quite impressive for a guy who you know on his first, you know, one of his first couple of games with the Patriots.
I also think the fact that Tom Brady was pushing to get Mohammed Sunu at least gives me that opportunity to ur puts me in the mindset of I have to give this guy the rest of the season and the playoffs before.
I'll make any sort of decision.
Yeah, he had a bad drop last week, but in his first game with the Patriots, I think was against Cleveland.
I can't don't quote me on that, but I think was against Cleveland.
I'm on fourth down and he made a first down.
He targeted on third down and he made a first down.
So I don't expect Mohammed Sunu to drop those kind of passes going forward.
And maybe he was thrown off a little bit by by the contact that wasn't called.
It just got highlighted more because I was a big play in the game, right? That was a big play in the game.
The Patriots had stopped the Texans.
I'm on fourth down and they turn around and get stopped on their own fourth down, and I think the Texas came down and scored after that, so it gets highlighted because of that.
But I mean, if we win the Super Bowl this year, how could we turn around and say the trade wasn't worth it? If we go to the A F C championship game, how could we say the trade wasn't worth it? We still have Mohammed Sunu next year.
It's not like it's a one and done trade, right? So I think I know there's been a lot of talk about Seenu.
I just I think we gotta wait a little bit longer before we can make a real assessment about how well Mohammed Sunu is.
So I guess with all of that being said, what Patriots player or positional group need to step up the most during the next four game stretch against the Chiefs, Bengals, Bills and Dolphins and into the playoffs.
And my simple answer that it's not the wide receivers it's not the running backs is not.
The offensive line is not Tom Brady.
It's nobody on the defense.
It's the tight ends.
Mala costs and Ben Watson have to figure out a way to become a bigger, better target for Tom Brady.
Josh McDaniels needs to figure out a way to get the tight ends involved.
Every successful team in the league.
You see them on a week to week basis, use their tight ends.
The Texans use them.
Lamar Jackson loves using him.
Patrick Mahomes loves using their tight ends.
Brady loved it when they had Gronkowski and Michael Bennett, Ben Watson amount low cost.
And if Ryan is, oh comes back.
Those are the guys that I think are gonna have to take the big step.
And I'm not saying the Patriots can't win without the tight end groups stepping up.
But what I am saying is, is, If you ask me what player group, what personnel group do you want to see the Patriots star the page on the Patriots? Step up.
It's the tight ends, the blocking game, the passing game Dubai committee.
We know that you're not going to replace Rob Gronkowski, but that those middle of the field catches have to go to tight end from time to time.
And they have to get themselves open when Brady throws a pass like he did the matter.
The cost to the seems that was a typical Brady to Gronk past.
The past was perfect and you dropped the ball.
A Brady starts losing trust in you be.
It's deflating to the rest of the offense and see those are the kind of place that's the difference between beating Houston and losing the Houston.
And I know we could look at a whole bunch of different things, and I don't take anything away from the Texans.
I can't take anything away from the Texans.
It would be unfair to take anyway thing from Houston, but they meet.
The tight ends, need to step up, and Brady needs to step up and use the more.
And I put this on Josh McDaniels, too.
It's a collective effort between the Patriots players and the coaching staff of figuring out how to get those tight ends involved.
It doesn't have to be every game.
It doesn't have to be Gronkowski like, but it has to be more than it's being used right now.
We saw him preseason what Ben Watson is capable of.
We've seen flashes of what Ben Watson is capable of.
The offensive line is starting to protect Brady.
Send your tight ends out.
I mean what I really love to see a Sony Michelle on the field showing run and you tossed the ball them at low cost.
And the cost, I think, has been, You know, I've been watching all the games and Lacoste is out there Ah lot.
And to me, he's looking more like he's starting to take that number one spot over Ben Watson.
Well, he's a kid that has always been in bad situations, always behind tight ends.
Never really given the opportunity to show if if he can step up and become that number one tight end.
Well, now is the time, man.
Now is the time for him to step up and show that he could be that number one, even if it for one season, one playoff run, one Super Bowl championship.
So that's the group for me.
It might be different for other people, but that's the group for me.
Finally, my last question or my last topic of the day before I get into your sports.
Quiet your questions here on sports cash.
When we get into some deep conversation, What is the Patriots biggest concern for the Chiefs game on Sunday? All right, so we've broken down a lot of things this week, right? We've talked about what we want to see the offense do the defense do.
I got into the whole match ups with the farm Gilmore covering Sammy walk ins, double coverage with Jones and McCord.
Eon, Tyree kill.
I like Jacey Jackson on Kelsey.
What concerns me the most is Patrick Mahomes, and what the Patriots need to do is get pressure to Mahomes.
Don't let him hold on to that ball.
Don't let him extend place if you watch the first half that H C championship game, they weren't getting to him.
They weren't sacking him, but they were making him get rid of the ball a little bit more quickly than he'd like to the The chief's receivers are so fast, so fast that the more time you give my home's the more time they're going to get open.
Even on guys like Gilmore, Gilmore can only hang with Sammy walk ins for so long.
He can hold on to him the way a normal quarterback should.
But if you're giving, I mean, I die time.
Some of the Mahomes throws in the second half of the Cabbage of Game, and he had 67 seconds.
Sometimes that's a whole lot of speed that you're asking Stefan Gilmore to hold on to.
So I think when you asked me what your biggest concern, it's it's not the receivers as a whole, it's Patrick Mahomes having the opportunity to throw the balls to their receivers.
That's my biggest concern gets, um, Patrick, get to him, put the pressure, stop him, and that's all.
And that's that's my concern.
Besides that, I think this kind of game is the Patriots game.
So, yeah, and what up SportsCastr? That's been my little ranch for the day.
It's now time to field any questions that you guys have with the first thing I need to ask is, Has everybody chosen? They're XFL team that they will be cheering for after this season for anybody who has no idea what we're talking about.
You missed one hell of a conversation last night.
We already know that Rhino is firmly on the Vipers because of his weird, sick obsession with snakes.
I was waffling yesterday between the Wildcats and the Vipers on Lee because Marc Trestman is tthe e coach of the Vipers, and he was the last Argos coach to win a Great Cup in 2017 here in Toronto.
But I was a Wildcat growing up like I played for the Wildcats.
My Wall guy and I went upstairs last night.
I looked at my wildcat football jersey hanging in my closet because, you know, um, you know, living in the glory days.
I saw that number 64 shining at me blue jersey with yellow yellow numbers.
So I got to go with the Wildcats.
I gotta support the l A Wildcats on Lee because I was a Wildcat growing up Joe was being difficult and complicated about things.
And Bobby, you missed it.
You gotta pick your team, man.
You gotta pick which one of the eight XFL teams you're gonna be cheering for.
Joe picked Houston because we're gonna be the six.
We're gonna be the six XFL fans in the league.
The de von guy ever give us an answer.
The von guy ever give us an answer? I don't think he ever gave us an answer.
You picked Tampa the Vipers as well because of the jerseys.
And I tried to And then Garrido shake.
I tried to Ah, I think Dorito Shake picked the Vipers as well.
And I tried thio call.
I tried to swing them with the l A jerseys, which he thought were fire.
And Joe doesn't like Thea the Wildcat jerseys and Ah, yeah, No, I have one more cast tomorrow, guys, But you guys may not be able to make it.
You can watch the replay that I'll be doing it around 6 p.m.
Um, I'll be doing it around six. PM tomorrow.
I have Ah, Friday night is ah, boys.
And I were not boysnight awhile, so I'm going out with the boys.
I'm gonna do it early before I got to go out.
m. I don't know what time that is for Rhino.
For everybody else.
That's normal time.
Unless you're on the West Coast and it's like three o'clock in the afternoon, but don't matter.
But I'll tweet out if I am going later.
Um, just because, ah, if I'm not going out to moral because they're calling for a snow storm tonight, all through tomorrow, uh, Ryan, All right.
Now it is 9 39 9 38 p. M.
Eastern Standard time.
All right, so me and Bobby were all on the same page here.
Blood and I think it's in.
It's Thursday, Rhino.
on Friday for you right now.
So we're almost 12 hours apart.
Oh, no, it'll be 10 a.
When we do 6 p.m. What time is it there right now.
1 30 in the afternoon.
Correct on Friday.
All right, so it's 1 30 in the afternoon on Fry on Friday, it's 9 39 PM here on Thursday.
So we're 12 10 39 11 39 12 39 13 Aunts were a 14 hour difference.
Well, you're 14 hours ahead of us, so it's gonna be Christmas before you first.
It's gonna be New Year's for you first.
That's fine, though, because we don't have spiders this big that bite us in the middle of the night.
All right, Got any football questions cause I I don't really got got too much Too much else to say were Christmas party tonight.
Free alcohol, So I'm getting fired.
Ah, man, there's a comedian.
His name is Danny Boy and he did a ah, he was deeded a tour around Australia, and he was mi****ing Australians at last call and you got to go check it out.
It's one of the funniest, funniest videos I've ever seen in my entire life about Danny Boy talking about Australians and last call and how upset you always get a last call.
But please, a football question would be great guys, anything.
Ask me anything.
We don't have spiders like that.
Just one deadly one that will kill you.
Well, we don't have any.
That'll kill you.
Well, he's in Canada.
The States might be different, but I think if you look on the East Coast in Canada and the U.
S. And Canada, we have bears.
How do you feel A paella, Mars natural cama are we talking about? Ah.
So are we talking about the San Francisco guy's comments that he hides the ball that his skin so dark that he guides the ball? Um, I'm going to Ah, just say that if you're a professional ****yst, that's a That's poor ****ytics.
Um, I think that it's ah ah bad thing to say.
I think that it was a little racist, and I'm just gonna leave it at that if you guys are okay.
Are you worried about a road playoff game? I'm worried about a home playoff game.
You know, I'm always worried when it comes to the Patriots.
I just I pretend with bravado that I'm not worried.
I'm always gonna be worried, man.
Anyways, look, I think that I think that, Ah, the Patriots always get it together when it comes to be playoff time, right? So I don't think they've really, ever given us a reason to be worried.
And I don't think it's fair to be worried about the Patriots because they've never given us a reason to be worried.
You know, it's the Patriots.
Could have been 16 I know have been the best team in the league and lose to the Giants in the Super Bowl.
Hypothetically, right? The Patriots could have set records all season.
They could have set defensive records that could have set offensive records.
Randy Moss and Tom Brady could have set the touchdown record of the exact same time.
And, hypothetically, you can lose three Eli Manning in the New York Giants.
I think that I take football one game at a time, one play at a time.
You know, it's I love looking at you.
That's why I won't talk about the off season during the season.
Um, it's, you know, we don't get much time and for football when you really when? When you really think about it and put it in perspective, We don't get much time for football.
We get what we've got four weeks left.
Think about how long the off season is.
I'm telling you, those four preseason games that I called those four weeks felt longer than the 12 weeks of football.
I've already called on the play by Ray.
It really has, like, football season just flies by.
So I think for me is I enjoy football too much to be worried.
Okay, I get worried on game day, you know, on game day I start to get the butterflies and tense up like I start getting hyped up.
I started playing music.
I want to run through a wall.
I feel like I'm gonna go out and play the game on game day.
I get emotional and, you know, and I read Ah ah, an article a couple of years ago that was talking about ah fandom.
And they were saying that fans, the the address a fan at home can feel the exact same adrenaline and tension that a player on the field complain, or feel that a fan doesn't have to be in the game there that invested into what's happening on the field Obviously, I am not in physical shape to play football anymore, but I still feel like I could run through a wall on game day.
That's what I get worried, Rhino.
So But when it comes, like right now, I'm I'm chill about the Chiefs game, you know, um, and, ah, but on Sunday, I'll be I'll be all worked up about the cheese him all day until they play.
That's why I love one of games because they come and they go and they're done in there. Finish.
I wait all week for a Patriots game, and then I just want him to finish so quickly because I just get I get so worked up about them hypothetically, if not the Patriots this year.
Who wins, Huh? I don't think it's gonna be the Ravens.
I actually disagree with you, Bobby.
I think that we're going to see some exposure in the playoffs, maybe next year for the Ravens.
Truthfully, it wouldn't shock me to see Kansas City, who's almost doing ah Patriots type of gear, you know, struggling at the beginning, the season they came on the last two weeks.
They're starting to go come through.
So in the A F C.
I could see Kansas City.
I could see the Buffalo Bills this year.
To be honest with you, with that defense, I don't think Baltimore's defense is is good as they look.
I think they look better because of Lamar Jackson.
I think because people are chasing so much, they can't play their game.
If somebody figures out how to stop Lamar, you're going to see the defense struggle a little bit more cause teams will be able to stick with their game plane over in the NFC.
Seattle is obviously a problem.
The Saints are a problem.
You know, San Francisco is a bit of a problem.
Ah, Green Bay could be a problem.
I'm not really worried about anybody else in the NFC, you know.
See what? The Vikings will choke it some point.
Um, but, yeah, I think it's going.
If it's not the Patriots, that could be Kansas City.
You know, it just feels that way.
I feel like you know Tom Brady's too good not to go to the Super Bowl, but I feel if it's not him, Patrick Mahomes is too good not to go to the Super Bowl.
If you get what I'm saying, But God, who really knows anything could happen.
We could have, like Buffalo versus Minnesota.
And who the hell would have picked Buffalo versus Minnesota at the beginning of this season? You know, you should watch for two, though, and I know this sounds stupid.
The Pittsburgh Steelers man.
That's a team that I'd be keeping one eye on.
They're doing things that just blows my mind.
And I hate the Steelers.
You all know I hate the Steelers.
My best friend in the world is a Steelers fan, and him and I talks so much crap to each other.
He was talking stuff to me the other day, laughing at me, saying, How does it feel that you're gonna be fifth in the NFL or in the A F.
C? I laughed at him, but I had to admit to a man, I said, Mike Tomlin, If he's not coach of the year, the coach of the Year award means nothing.
Just like if Gilmore doesn't get defensive player of the year, the defensive.
You know that award means nothing to me.
If he's not an All Pro this year, that award means nothing to me, Mike Tomlin's done a hell of a job.
And that defense, man, that defense is starting to get it together.
I know the playoffs are gonna be lit.
Besides Dallas with their eight and eight record.
Yeah, and then all of a sudden, they look like the Dallas from weeks 123 right? The thing about playoff football is it's things can change.
Think about the Patriots before the playoffs last year, and then they have their way with the Chargers.
They have that great game against Kansas City and then the.
You know, the offensive showdown against the Rams, who would have looked at two of the best top scoring teams in the league, is that we have a 13 to 3 Super Bowl, and I think that it's, you know, that's where I'm at with it. Right now.
It's get to the playoffs.
If you're an NFL team, get to the playoffs because anything can happen.
Come playoff time.
Just put the game on right now, Bobby Oh, it's halftime.
Maybe not, but I see Terry Bradshaw screaming into a microphone.
I've been busy with you all having that time 17 7 for Chicago at the half.
So yeah, so I mean, it's it's again.
It's who is the hottest going in, You know, the Patriots again.
The Patriots if they go in hard to the playoffs, if if if the If the Patriots go on to the playoffs.
I mean, who is going to? Who's going to doubt the Patriots if they win their next four games? I see what you got to say about Dallas, man, and you're absolutely right.
But I think for me, football is to sport, get to the playoffs, get to the playoffs and anything can happen.
You think about let's a back in 2017.
Did you think the Eagles were going to go all the way to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl? Never in a 1,000,000 years that I have the Eagles.
I looked at the Saints.
I looked at Minnesota coming out of the NFC.
Maybe Green Bay Carson Wentz done for the year, Nick full, or Nick Foles gonna bring the pain.
They're gonna bring the Eagles to the Super Bowl.
And then it happens, speaking and Nick Foles how upset most people in Jackson will be Nick Foles, now been benched for Gardner Minshew again.
Fools has four years left on his $88 million contract.
His cap it next season is dead cap.
So if they release them after this year, his dead cap is 33 million $875 His cap It will be $22 million.
The next year will be a 12.
5 $1,000,000 cap it with toward dead cap with a 26 0.
8 million cap it his fourth year. It's a 6.2.
They may eat that 6.
2 cause that's a $27 million cap it, dude, uh, I mean, talk about fall from Grace and you're right.
And the thing is, they were so excited.
Bye bye bye, Nick Foles coming the team because they had What's his name, the idiot for so long And this ideas, I literally, um, Blake Bortles.
You know, anybody look better than Blake Bortles? Christ, I would have looked better than Blake Bortles.
You know, if they would have signed me $88 million he's bench first.
It gets hurt on the first game of the season and his bench and you can't release them.
You need a trade partner.
Otherwise it's going to cost you 22 million cap.
It's a dead cap of 33.
8 million next season, taking up 22 million of your cap.
And Jalen Ramsey plays in Los Angeles.
You know what I'm saying? Think about the players you could assign around Gardner, Minshew or Uncle Rico.
And you know what? Just because they all chanted, We want Brady after they beat the Steelers.
It just looks good on them.
Rhino keeps coming on here.
Do you know what? It's that every time we're on here, which is daily Rhino tries to bring up the Lakers it nobody will acknowledge him.
Do you ever notice that, Rhino that no one wants to talk about the Lakers? Yeah, but you know what? The beat Utah, You beat Denver.
I'll give you the credit.
You took a lot of crap.
You took a lot of crapola.
Not you in particular.
But Lakers fans about the you know LeBron can.
They can't beat two good teams or you can't win back to backs.
And the eight games you wanted with nobodies.
You one Good for you.
Raptor wet the bed yesterday in their game against Miami.
It should even went to overtime.
The Kyle Lowry comes back, and that's what happens.
The Boston comes out today and just hammers.
Miami Hammers thumb.
I know yesterday.
So we cracked the bad there and the Raptors air.
It's now getting smoked by 10 points at 31 seconds left with Rockets.
That's two games in a row.
Celtics a good man.
The Celtics look good, like I don't know how they don't win the East and I had the Celtics probably sitting around fifth or sixth in the league going into this season.
I didn't have them sitting in first, so yeah, I don't know.
They look, they look super good this year.
They've had Ah, they've got a deep and they start slow.
They start slow and then they just come alive.
And that's what I kind of like about them.
I haven't got the watch too many.
I watch more highlights of of of, Ah, the sounds.
We don't get a lot of Celtic games here.
We get a lot of Lakers games, get a lot of Warriors games.
We got a lot of Clippers games down, likewise there.
And we got obviously the Raptors.
The box starts with the Celtics.
Don't win the East, but they can.
You know what I'm not overly impressed with with Milwaukee this year, man.
Even in their wins, even in their big wins, there's just a lot.
I mean, okay, you blew out the Knicks, you know? Good for you, Rhino.
I think that all of us would get together, put a team together. We could beat the Knicks.
I mean, the the Knicks, for such a storied franchise is one of the most pathetic franchises in the history of of football.
Are a basketball? No, and I get that they beat Detroit.
They smoke Detroit, did they not? I love Janis and he's gonna be a rapture.
You know that, right? He's gonna be wrapped her him and Messiah or tight.
And as soon as he's a free agent is gonna be playing in Toronto because for him, it's Americans don't want to play.
No, Americans don't want to play for Canada, and it's fine.
It's a different country to different.
That's for Jonathan.
It's Ah, this is Ah, This is a different country altogether.
States is different country for him. He's gonna be a rapture.
What's raises? That Americans don't want to play for Canada? It's true.
They talk about American players, say it all the time.
It's not that they come and actually get traded here that they realize they like Toronto South Park.
I'm so confused now.
You guys have lost me.
I don't know where the hell we are.
You know, this is probably a good time to say goodbye.
Once I started getting confused, never saw the never saw the Canada racist thing.
Raises two Canadians.
Oh, that's awful.
We're not a race.
Where? Country prejudice to Canadians.
We're not a skin color.
Oh, I know that.
They Ah, I saw the whole blame Canada thing, right? Blame Canada.
Aah! Hockey hullabaloo in that ***** and Mary, too.
I saw the movie.
I think I was, like, 13 years old when that movie came out.
How the hell is South Park still on TV, like The Simpsons? I was, like, six when it came out.
I mean, I remember Everybody loved Cartman.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, South Park is made by case.
I did not know that.
And all they do is make fun of Canada.
So then, really, they're probably They're really making fun of.
Ah, probably making fun of Americans and write, You know, it's okay.
Hate on each other, right? Canada is amazing, You know? I don't Don't knock the states like the States to man.
I have never You know what? I'm gonna take a quick story back in 2000 and I want to say 14.
I went to New York City for a conference, and we're staying, like right by our hotel where the conference was were stained was like, four steps away from Times Square.
And ah, you just go.
In Canada, we get told that, like, you know Ah, you know, New Yorkers air a rude and pushy And this and that.
Let me tell you something.
The New Yorkers I met down there were some of the nicest people in the world.
