and welcome in to the one giant podcast Coming to You Live on the SportsCastr platform as we highlighted the beginning of our broadcast always follows on social media at one giant podcast on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook certainly go over to iTunes and check out the feed their like rating review.
Get those automatic downloads going as we continue to build our following in and around all things.
New York football Giants We come into you here, joining the game action in the first quarter between division rival Dallas Cowboys taking on the Chicago Bears rate.
Now we find ourselves all knotted up here at zero and zero.
Tough matchup as e que Ella goes off tackle there and picks up a handful of yards.
12 Jump in this, this one and just take it quick peek and see who we're getting as far as a cover as faras free agent prospects ago.
One of the players that we have highlighted as I get my notes in order here, take a peek back through always, always fun to try to scramble to find where you got your notes going for this one.
We have highlighted some players were talking about the overall if you fall, if you followed some of our streams.
We certainly have taken a look at free agents on the Chicago side when you're talking about the New York football Giants secondary as E.
Kelly will go off tackle taken around the edge and sweet diving for the first down, heading out of bounds as we crest over the 10 25 mark here to play in a game knotted up.
Certainly, we've highlighted some of the free agents on the Chicago Bear side of things.
A second Gary and who may be the star of the Nets, the Giants could look to target coming this upcoming off season from the Dallas Cowboys standpoint, we'll go ahead and just go more broad stroke here before we dive in on some giant specific things.
Ah, we were highlighting about the idea of man, you want to talk about a team that you're from New York Giants fan perspective.
You're talking about watching a division where you thought it's Prescott will roll out, getting chased heavily and then just steps out of bounds.
They're losing three or four yards.
Got to do something better than that just throw that ball away and avoid taking a loss.
There will bring up a second and probably 13 here, if not 12.
Um, you know, this is one of those things where at the New York football Giants fan you came into this season.
Not with high expectations.
Maybe you're thinking that Giants could get to six, win something along those lines, and then all of a sudden, you find yourself now, you know, looking the Cowboys at six and six, looking at the Eagles, your mother that match up five and seven and you start to think, Man, if this team hadn't been so poorly run, Excuse me over the last handful years, might we find ourselves with an opportunity to be competing in a division that certainly feels wide open? I mean, excuse me, you're talking about If the Cowboys were to lose this game as they cannot connect on the second and 11 play looking for, I believe that was gallop.
Then it was could not connect with him through his hands.
Nice coverage there in the secondary for the Chicago Bears.
But all of a sudden you're talking about looking at a team and saying, Man, if the Cowboys were to lose this game, and I know that favorite in it.
But if you were to lose, this game is the Dallas Cowboys, and you fall in a six and seven.
Even if the Philadelphia Eagles win, you're talking about two teams that are below 500.
No one in the division is, you know, above 500.
Cowboys are leading at six and six.
You could be staring down the remainder of the schedule.
Eagles have a very easy stretch here.
We'll play the Giants twice.
I think they don't have to get the Dolphins in there as well, but they have a very easy schedule to take a look at their.
You've got to think, man, that they have such an opportunity to maybe sneak in here at five and seven.
They could sneak in and steal away the division from the Dallas Cowboys.
But there is some route where there's potential that a seven and nine team I think about that he was.
Seattle Seahawks did in a number of years ago could actually win this division on represent the NFC East in the playoffs.
So one of those disappointments just from a pure Giants fan perspective where you feel like years like this are the ones when you want to be on the field and be competitive.
We highlighted this on our update earlier today that Eli Manning is in line as of right now, with Daniel jonesing for that high ankle sprain.
Potentially be seeing some action on Monday night.
But as we watched the Dallas Cowboys hair on first down opportunity with 8 41 to go in the first, we will focus in on live game coverage for you.
As that is, you know where we're staying in touch here.
Don't want to go to, ah far afield getting into Giants information.
And then as we work through all feather and some of these free agents that we want to highlight when we talk about the New York Giants and where they may want to go when it comes to free agent opportunities.
So that being said as I pulled it up here in the background, start to get a look around and see what we want, I will just take one brief step away here to make sure that I have my self fully powered up to survive the length of this game if I go all the way through.
At the very least, I'm gonna go straight through this first quarter, most likely healthily into that second quarter as well.
And then maybe I'll take a step away and try to cool it some of those notes and then come back on tomorrow and highlight what our takeaways were from this game, specifically looking to those free agent prospects.
So back in just a moment here and we'll start to dive into some of these free agents that we can watch and identify as the game action goes on and see if they're playing to a level that makes you think is the New York football Giants fan.
This is a guy we may want to take a look at right back into it.
Friends, we've got Dak Prescott on the keeper going off the left side.
They're picking up a couple of yards there, one yard officially.
So a second, Naina Cohen for them on the 8 25 mark here in the first quarter.
As we start to thumb around and take a look at what we saw.
See here, let's get up those free.
Let's get up those free agents.
That's what we're after as 2nd 9 will get underway here with Dak Prescott under center, two wide receivers down to the bottom of the screen there with a wider Cedars put at the top as well.
It goes to his ego, led up the gut who scampers around for maybe a yard or 1/2 a yard.
There brings up 1/3 and eight will give you officially there.
Here we go, diving in on those free agents.
Now is we'll talk about and as we've been doing, just kind of checking in on each team and then noting, if there's a player of interest, we go ahead and got that one down.
And then later on, we'll come back in as we progress through this season and start to take a look at those guys specifically and say, Where's that dollar figure going to be? How much does it improve our team? And it is something we really legitimately interested in. Ass.
Third and eight goes on the slant route.
Hopeless, even on a Marquis Cooper.
I believe he's actually doing injuring his gallop.
Of course, Gal does a nice job on that.
When things are hard as he makes that devout, so will highlight him right now.
Clinton Dix is a guy that is going to be on the market in this off season.
Is a great job coming down field there.
But even better job as Scott finds him nicely, Begala doing a fantastic job hanging on to that ball.
Ah ha ha Clinton Dix going low there for him.
So that is one of the first names that we do.
Of course, highlight here as he will be a free agent is faster after a couple different teams Prescott Prescott on the keeper get stood up and then drilled back by once again, this one will be fuller coming in on that action there.
Look like maybe Prescott was gonna use his body and force himself in towards that goal line.
Instead, it will go as a second and goal now, as the Cowboys look to convert here and see if they can get something going for themselves.
Well, briefly, just take a look here, making sure that I have some coverage where I need it.
Haugland Defensive Clinton Dix defensively is a name that I think you could be interested in.
Allow Peppers to do some of the things that he does to a high level.
The handoff to Elliot, he surges through the line.
Nice job by the offensive line.
Not a lot of pushback there at the point of attack for the Chicago Bears, and Dallas finds himself up here in a seven nothing first quarter score as we're just outside of the six minute mark of game action.
And so let's start to take a look here.
We'll go ahead and click over.
Let's dive into Chicago first will highlight across the board.
We will get back over on the defensive side of the ball, but for right now, let's take a look at some of the guys that are going to be available as we looked through that offense because they'll be coming onto the field here in just a moment through the kickoff.
So offensively, for the Chicago Bears, we highlight that they are going to have guards 31 years old.
Both, uh, sorry.
Double repeated there.
Kyle Long will be up here.
Ah, actually, in a really long time.
But I'm gonna do to is I like to stick with unrestricted free agent as well, because any time you have restricted free agents, you're not really sure it's gonna happen there.
Obviously opportunity for the team to retain themselves.
We go with pure, clean opportunities for the for the New York football Giants to make some headway.
Backup Chase Daniels will be available.
Not gonna move the needle there.
31 year old Bradley soul at the tight end position not to move the needle there.
Then you're also talking about a Ted L****n, the Guard 33.
Take a pass on that and then you get into a couple of these youngsters that again.
Unfortunately, I don't think you're gonna move the needle because you're not gonna know anything about them.
But I will certainly pull up the probe Football focus, stat line Just to double check as we look at a left and right tackle on the roster.
My assumption here is that we're gonna find that these guys do not have a big stat line. But I could be wrong.
And obviously, as you start to look around something's different teams, Uh, I was just doing a little bit of Brooklyn Nets coverage there as well.
There's no point in, ah thinking you know about something that you don't.
You go and just diving in the information and see what you see, what you can pull up.
So we talk about a Cornelius Lucas.
He's played 215 snaps, so he's come in sparingly and only played to a 59.
8 pro football rating.
So he probably can hedge our bets there and not be too concerned about that.
And then the other one was going to be T.
J Clemmings with your snaps on CD on the offensive side of the bowl from a purely unrestricted free agent.
Ah, that's going to be, Ah, a bit of a non starter.
We talk about it.
If they have the club option, that would be Kyle long at the guard position.
Any player option opportunities here.
There's a very typical, and there are none in the NFL.
There you go, and then you talk about those pure, restricted free agents where there's an opportunity to certainly have right of first refusal to match, and then you get into into some nice names that you would like to take a look at potentially as well.
Pull up their numbers here, center and right guard it guard position.
With 487 snaps under his belt, Rashad Coward has played to a 49.
5 pro football raining.
We will take a pass on him from a New York football Giants perspective.
Then you do want to also take a look at a player that actually have unlisted there as the right tackle start.
So I had to take a look inside the you know he's been playing out of right tackle, not bottom line.
Being is not a good rating, so why be overexcited about it anyway? And then we get into that center position.
Show me Levine not playing it all so not interesting there.
In spite of their age, I don't know if they raid optical.
We better get to dive into a little bit more of a scouting report on players like that.
As the return, we'll be taking it all the way across.
Ah, hustle there.
Ah, good looking return bounces off a couple of tackles and get this one out.
So 34 yards there a nice job as we take a look there highlighting Mitchell Drabinsky over the last four games.
Three and one record eight and four touchdown interception ratio.
917 past the arts.
What Rushing touchdown.
I'm not gonna lie and say that.
I have been on the one giant podcast talking a little bit of smack about him we had on the bare reporting a crossover episode That was fantastic where they were.
Not a big fan of Mitchell travesty, either.
But certainly this is one of those things where I think you need to not be a prisoner of the moment.
Take the big picture as he connects out to the tight end There on the first down.
Play good for about seven yards on the outside.
Um, out across the 40 there is hold.
You know, one of the big picture things you have to think about in the NFL is you can't overreact.
Last year people were pretty high on Travis Key, right? You feel like Matt Nagy was doing some good things with him, giving him some opportunities, using his feet, getting him out of the pocket.
This year he struggled.
Okay, Does that mean that last year was a total aberration.
And that's not what he is.
Probably not doesn't mean that this year is concrete and he can't possibly improve his game.
Doesn't nice job look, keeping his eyes downfield, then pulls it and runs for a first down pick up their gain of about four moves. The change.
So you know it's always easy when you're having a bad season.
Bears at six and six right now, a terrible year certainly had some higher expectations coming in, But it's always easier looking, you know, when you're at four and six members went there three and one of the last four, so at one point they were down in the dumps here a little.
But to start pointing the finger and start saying, this team is a disaster once you're too intend.
Once you're in the New York Giants territory, that's when you can start to say that you could really pick apart how players are working.
He's visiting high snap.
Their pulled down gives the quick draw play.
They're reaching out and forward and picking up just a couple on the first down run is going to be Ah Montgomery and we will see here as the highlight.
The Dallas Cowboys, eight in total defense on the season, doing a nice job across that front.
They're highlighting Sean Lee, Joe Thomas and Smith there in the linebacking corps.
I think certain leading batter and Jones may be a free agent here for the Cowboys defense.
And why not? As we look at a second and 83 wide receiver set down low with one receiver up top out of the shock and he goes, connects with the big man bounces off the would be tackler and a nice job there on second and eight by Mr Dubinsky.
Keeping his eyes was quick.
Three step drop.
They just highlighted him.
The rookie Holt at the tight end position.
Very nice job there by a travesty.
Quick drop Quick Throat connects with his big man and then bounces off.
That would be tackling picks up an extra three or four yards, simple up and in post route that connects nicely for a big first down pick up there on second down.
Well, let's go, Let's go.
Let's go ahead and take a look down there, right? The rookie is not gonna get our hands on him, can we? Let's go ahead and back ourselves out here and switch over to the defense of side of the ball for the Dallas Cowboys and see if we find anyone worth noting.
And then, of course, we'll touch back in on the Bears defense and Cowboys offense when that possession switches back over.
While you may think you know that while Chicago Bears, certainly, and we'll highlight that as well.
While we're here when you talk about the NFL and where these standings currently are.
You know again, if you were the Chicago players playing in the NFC East, you be nodded up here for a chance to be winning the division. Instead.
As it stands, you are a team.
You find yourself in third position nine and three, Packers eight and four.
Minnesota Vikings play action.
Fake Strabinsky stepping up, running right down the middle.
The field's gonna pick up that first **** bounce off a little foot tackle, thereby Sean Lee pick up another first.
Move the chains once again for the Chicago Bears as a look to hurry up here a little bit and keep this Dallas defense off balance.
Um, so again, right, you're You're just talking about a team that would be right now competing for Nancy's, however, out there in Chicago.
They are, of course, a couple of games back from the Vikings and then again in behind the Green Bay Packers if we were to go in and highlight their schedule just for the sake of argument, is this a team that has an opportunity possibly to get some more wins here down the stretch? If they could pull this one out here, you certainly feel pretty good about the fact as out of the out of the shotgun Travis Key gives a little flick forward there, too.
Uh, Cohen sweeping across the line.
He scurries for three yards of getting around the edge there before going out of bounds.
Second down in seven.
Coming up here for the Chicago Bears.
Now, their final matchups falling in Dallas Cowboys will be the Green Bay Packers, angering day the Kansas City Chiefs at home and then the Minnesota Vikings on the road, while on the one hand, you can look at that and say this is certainly not the type of structure like they have for your team on the other hand, What you can say is you have a chance, right? You're gonna take on the two teams ahead of you in the division you have a hard match up against in a F C opponents? Certainly.
Ah, and obviously, as they do a play action fake, their trusty rolling out looking down the field throws what would have been an interception, However unable was Louis to keep his feet inbounds.
Travis Key just firing clean past his target there will take a look at the instant a TTE.
The replay here overshot a mature who was looking for their that three.
It was a receiver for the bear sweeping across the line, but three defensive backs in the area of that ball.
They look out a little bit there, and it will be 1/3 and seven.
Call taking a look here whether or not will there be a challenge here with 1 36 to go, let's take a look.
Luis plants that first foot nicely and drag Zach.
So, ladies and gentlemen, that is a reception for the Dallas Cowboys defense.
This one will be going the other way. Aziz.
A great shop, Very athletic play from Louis to get that ball going out of bounds.
I don't know if maybe frisky thought he was throwing that one away.
Quote unquote, but this one will be reviewed.
It will be overturned, and Dallas will have the bullet.
And the only interesting thing is here.
That means the Dallas may have the bowl virtually on their one inch line.
So maybe an opportunity for what has typically been a stout defense for the Chicago Bears to really pin their ears back and just go all out and see if they can catch may be an opportunity for safety and turning what would be feel like certainly a big negative into a net positive.
Just getting back on that again.
It's all in front of them.
You got two more division games.
You have a lot to play for.
However, you do have to think that realistically, it over a four game structure like this at any point in the season.
Given that both of those games were on the road against the Packers and the Vikings, you would say if you could go to into Boy, you feel really good about that.
I don't know if that's gonna be the case.
And then, on top of which you're talking about the Green Bay Packers they're gonna have the Redskins to take on this weekend.
We'll follow up with that Bears game.
They will play the biking so only one of them can win there and then certainly will have the line.
So maybe if you're talking about from a, uh, Chicago Bears perspective trying to get the win against Green Bay and then hope that they beat the Vikings and you beat the Vikings, you keep pushing the Vikings back down towards you were talking to get into a wild card opportunity on.
Then, of course, they finished with Lions as well on the road.
So you would assume, though, that the Packers, you know, they only probably one win locks him up.
Playoff spot, 10 wins probably at least gets you.
I know where the NFC West out there, certainly, So we'll be some traffic.
There are 10 wins in the wild card situation but went against the Redskins this weekend.
You follow that up with at least one more win between old division games at the end, and you find yourself at 11 and getting in there.
My pardon Here is I just want really what I want to quickly was, uh then switch over to the Vikings real quick.
Just a highlight.
What the road to the with road to the playoffs might look like for the Chicago Bears, if there even to get able to get the win here.
And things right now trending in the right direction are they for the Minnesota Vikings.
They will take on the Detroit lines at home.
Then they'll have, ah, date on the road with the Chargers, followed up with that matchup against the Green Bay Packers and then finish with the Bears.
So once again, three division games over the last, for for them certainly a lot of things laid out in front of them.
You think, though, that they still mean may need to get to a 10 win total as we talk about the standings overall in this one and what a great job by this pylon can hear, he is just barely outside the end zone.
Does drank that second foot beautifully, so this will be overturned.
But they're going to be on the one centimeter line here when this gets overturned in his first down.
Dallas officially the call from the referees.
So we dive in here on that NSC standing.
Let's talk about that wild card situation.
Ah, so San Francisco, Seattle are going to give you competition? They're both at 10 and two.
So one of them's gonna get that first wildcard spot right out the gate.
Beyond that, technically, the Rams could programs were one of the biggest competitions that you're gonna face there for the second wild card spot.
Because again, Dallas Cowboys, or maybe the Eagles about how they play out are going to be in that mix.
There's eight Nate for that wild card spot.
Let's just zone in there on this coverage here.
From that one inch line here comes back Prescott.
The handoff is equally it tackled in the end zone grab.
But he meant just a full forward there and pick up about 1/2 a yard and getting just a little centimeter room.
They mean it means basically put that at zero.
Gain there for him.
Um, and one, I guess maybe this ball is trying to go deep there.
Ah, looking in the end zone.
I don't know what the opportunity is there it is a fantastic interception nonetheless, but I just feel like Travis.
Neither is trying to throw it to someone and grossly under through a grossly over through or start a photo way matter what terrible net gain there as we will have a second of nine.
Credit him with nearly a yard there out of the backfield again, with Prescott under center, the handoff? No, they will look to throw it outside to Jason went and sure handed as he is gets.
That catch goes at a bath, picks up an extra three or four yards there, though, and now the very least gives you some breathing room, and you feel like you have that opportunity to get yourself back on track here.
At the worst case scenario, give yourself some distance to get a punt, as we do see ah player going into the locker room for the Chicago Bears, and I'll just check in real quick.
It was the linebacker there was in on that on that touchdown by his ICO Elliot, so we'll highlight who that was.
Momentarily, obviously, is not on the fields here to try to get this defensive stance third and five looking outside.
And that one will almost be picked off this time once again by Fuller.
Doing a phenomenal job on the outside There will maintain.
Ah, deep punting situation here as they had the nice look.
It was gallop on that outside.
And just a great job, Really.
I mean, if Galan breaks back towards that goal, I don't know if he's gonna get first down, but nevertheless, the receiver has to come back and attack it that ball to avoid Fuller sweeping through there and nearly returning the favor.
Picking off that Prescott Jones now sets up in the back of his end zone with about a yard and have two yards of space there to get this fourth and five months off, this one will bounce at the 50 and then get grabbed there by the Cowboys about the 49 yard line.
So great field position here for the Chicago Bears trying to reset themselves, get back on track with Mr Mitchell Urbanski on.
So just the reality of that, right? You're talking about it.
Maybe, you know, the Cowboys win this game, lose game.
Whatever it is, I think either way and 18 8 Maybe a 97 record wins that division there in the East.
Whoever it is, though, I don't think anyone's gonna be better.
Whoever wins 97 maybe eight.
And it's gonna be the other team or vice versa.
So, um, right now, if you are the Chicago Bears trying to find you find your way to battle with the Minnesota Vikings right now, and you want to see if you can get this win here and see if Minnesota is gonna lose one of these games coming up, then you've got a really opportunity.
Minnesota would have to give you the chance by losing to the Lions.
Maybe the charges.
The Packers game is a nice one.
And then you get that head to head matchup.
So, you know, if you're talking about Chicago Bears, if you could win out and set yourself up to have that big match up with the Minnesota Vikings the last game this season, certainly.
But even if you're within a game as the handoff from Travis Key will go the way of Montgomery, working off the tackles gets to the outside there a little bit of nice six yard pick up here on first down, crossing over the 50 yard line, and we will work ourselves at the end of the first quarter here in a seven nothing close games to six and six teams taking a look back here because the Vikings lost in a 16 to 6 game earlier in the season.
ACT Chicago If Chicago could be within one game record wise of the Minnesota Vikings as they head into that final game of the season, they could win that game, get themselves to what you know, potentially nine and seven and have an opportunity to steal that second wild card spot.
So ah, lot to play for here from the Chicago Bears.
And that's why coming into this one, even though obviously Dallas has a ton to play for us, well, Chicago really needs to put it all on the line in this game to continue to give themselves that hope for in one over the last five games.
They would be at that point, and certainly an opportunity to be staring down the barrel of just keep winning out.
Keep giving yourself a chance to look at some of these opportunities when you talk about Thea the playoff picture and me.
I mean, listen, if they could turn around and have that opportunity, what a turnaround that would be from where this team was earlier in the year.
We take a look, even though I know that got away from us there with some of that live game action.
Quick turnover happened as well, so we'll go ahead and just highlight any other players that we want to know about.
From the free agency perspective, we highlighted a Clinton Dix.
Certainly not a lot of other information from an offense effective for Chicago.
So let's dive in on Dallas.
Let's go in on the defensive side of the ball here to start things off, and then we will touch back in on that defense for Chicago a little bit later.
So going defense, if perspective all unrestricted free agents available here you are talking about defensive end Martellus Bennett, 34 years old.
Robert Quinn would be there at 30 years old.
I don't know if I need to, you know, make that move.
Given the state of our franchise and I'm not gonna have a Sean Lee coming in Ah, you can talk about as we highlighted Byron Jones at 27 years old.
Let's take a peek over him on the pro football Focus Big board.
He is playing himself out to a 71.
He comes in here a 27 years old.
So as we highlighted Clinton Dix, maybe it maybe a Byron Jones moves the needle if he reaches to free agency with that 71.
9 pro football focus rating.
One of the things we did a highlight were going through our little skate me who we were talking about, Um, but a player that came away with a pretty strong pro football focus rating and then an additional article.
We read out that it is one rating that was really strong.
Past defense was nearly ah, you know, unwatchable there, you know he's in the low fifties or even sub fifties in that category.
So diving inside those numbers a little bit deeper on the back end of some of this information is going to be important.
But at 27 years old, certainly rate smack in the prime of his career.
You would think that there be some opportunities.
This is one of the things that will do on the back end as well as a 2nd 4 years for the Chicago Bears.
With Mitchell's Robiskie and Shock.
Um, he has to read Conan the back field on his hip and three wide receivers out at the top of the screen with the young tight end there as the pressure gets to him in a hearty collapsing around from the edge, sweeping through and wrapping him up for a loss of maybe four on that one.
Gonna bring up third down here and a little bit longer than they would have liked.
Not a lot of opportunity there, this one quickly.
Yes, when they bring the blitz from the outside their ah, and it was the cornerback and linebacker meeting at the quarterback.
And now 1/3 and nine will come up here for the Chicago Bears.
So at some point they're gonna have to find the ability to move this ball, get it down the field and give yourself a legitimate opportunity to get some points on the board.
Big missed opportunity holding them back after the interception neutral zone infraction should be coming here on the Dallas Cowboys Just missing.
He tries to go outside does not connect, but this will be a neutral zone infraction on the Dallas Cowboys.
And, ah, we will have a replay off third down.
It will now be back to 1/3 and reasonable 34 asterisk.
Anything is that such? And rub those gloves.
Wonder if maybe he wants to make a switch there at some point and get himself a better opportunity.
I think he's only I always see him playing with the glove.
This I don't know what would be unique in this one relative.
So they do make that play call there against Lawrence on the outside, Coming into the neutral, I'm trying to get off on the snap, their third and four reset.
Here we continue down this list beyond Byron Jones.
Do you want to know about Ah, guy like Covington for the Dallas Cowboys? Remember the thing that was gonna highlight there as we have a three wider sooner? Spend at the bottom of your screen one of the top, with Cohen working out of the backfield.
That is where two whiskey goes, quickly, picking it up, scooting across for about 56 yard gain.
Cohen does a nice job on that one.
Move the chains in a hurry.
You know, Cohen is a hard guy to cover out of the backfield in coverage, so you give a quick opportunity.
It's 12 Quick look down, the field gets outside, and it's not enough time there for anyone in coverage on the defensive side of the Bullets and make that play before they can scoop for a 56 yard game.
Turn over those change, and you said now, first and still in the field for the Dallas Cowboys.
Seven toe, four advantage here totally are.
It's the barn burner in 18 57 but we'll see if it starts to get the Chicago Bears rolling a little bit.
It looks like there's 30 passing yards there.
They set up a screen play here, a lot of room 81 tight end.
All the way down field.
He's gonna himself down inside its head yard line.
There, that is the boy.
Holt's rookie tight end looks like the Chicago Bears may have found something here for themselves and a great job there full committed for the Dallas Cowboys.
Coming after Mitchell.
Travis, you think you may have just burst through that line.
Almost no recognition of that screen set up there and you will see Ah, Sean Lee goes to the left hand side as a linebacker there was going on.
The blitz gives extra room for the tight end to work there and a nice job by holds getting in behind his blockers.
Finding a couple of nice scenes on, Lee won safety there between him and a huge chunk playing now first and goal from the nine out of the shotgun go Stravinsky with Holt's coming in motion now that work down across the line through a little chip block in there and a great job getting met at the line of scrimmage but rumbling forward for a solid pickup of about five yards.
A nice little chip block there, but it's fine and as well.
So you certainly like to see that from young players who were doing it on both ends.
Montgomery gives a nice surge there.
Pick up and he'll come out of the game now.
Looks like we'll see if the Cohen checks back in here to give Travis key.
As many options as possible is We're seeing the pressure certainly coming in from the Dallas defense, but a lot of positive things being done by this offense right now.
Hey, Devil Junior, how are you, man? Thanks for checking in with us.
Not a lot going on were highlighted.
Some giant free agent options and watching.
Ah, the another.
What could have been a neutral zone infraction? They're able to reset on the defensive side of the ball of the Dallas Cowboys.
Quick throw in the end zone, that is a touchdown.
Beautiful job there again, doing those quick plays, not allowing the defense to really set up for work, these offensive players off their route there.
And it is Alan Robinson connecting with Mitchell.
Domestic acting without Robinson on that touchdown past tying this one of its seven here with 12 13 to go in the for us are in the second quarter now of game action.
As we crest the nine o'clock hour, we move on through here just to continue the highlight.
We wanted to take a look at ah, on the defense's side, a guy like Christian Covington, 14 solo tackles, one assist, ah sack on the season, playing to a 67.
Uh, for the Dallas Cowboys.
I don't know if that moves the needle for anybody.
I believe you is listed at 26 years old.
So obviously, on the younger side, maybe doing enough? Maybe someone you could get into a rotation for you.
Six foot 2305 Out.
Bob Hughes, Detective, sixth round, back in 2015.
Is that the way they're in the game coverage? So we'll continue to move down our free agent tracker here on the defensive side of the ball for the Dallas Cowboys.
Ah, who else do we get A look at here? Not a lot of guys on the back, and you can talk about guys like Frasier.
But when you see a small money amounts, you go ahead and assume that they're not big movers or shakers in terms of performance.
Well, the last guy have you thought about Collins to only 25 years old, but my su****ion is you're gonna find out that he hasn't had a lot of snaps on the season, will pop in there real quick to take a look at him, actually know what and taking a quick look over on my bookie dot a g.
What have we seen in terms of the line here on this one? This line started out at plus three and 1/2 in favor of the Chicago Bears at home.
Shame on the betting lines.
I again, this is the one that I think you could probably I wouldn't put money on Dominic on the Bears to win out right here.
The combination of the play that you seen from the Dallas Cowboys very inconsistent of his last handful of weeks.
A very desperate team in the Chicago Bears, and a defense that I think can still turn it on and disrupt some of these situations for the Dallas Cowboys and give me an opportunity.
And if you want Chicago Bears walking into a game right now at 77 as you're starting to move in toward that middle portion of the second quarter, you'd feel pretty confident you could keep this game a little bit lower.
Scoring over under, I think, was set at 43 a half.
Originally sitting at 43 even napped on my bookie dot a J.
So we go back inside here that pro football.
Let's just go ahead and dive in on that defensive line one more time.
Molly Collins has only had, uh, start not only 13 solo tackles and assist explained to a 66.
So I'm not getting my George blown off by any of these guys, Certainly.
So I don't know any needles or getting moved for any of the fan base out there.
The one thing that you certainly would like about a guy like Millie Collins that he's coming in 25 years old.
This is kind of the agent for I think you want to see coming off rookie contracts, moving toward their opportunity to really cash in on, you know, on on their first big contract.
But maybe you get some of these guys who haven't quite shown out yet, and you get to get them at a bit of a discount and then work, you know, work them into the rotation and start to see them.
Crest, the 26 27 28 years old really come into their prime.
Ah, the only place I want to go look on the defense's side of the ball agency.
Goodwin listed there, but he hasn't played enough to really tell me anything.
Who's the other one's? A kickoff will get underway here for the Chicago Bears.
Clean of the end zone well in the end zone, and it's slowly trickles out.
But nevertheless, Uh oh, there you go.
Let's take a look real quick at a couple of names here.
I'll only say them out loud if I feel like it's worth mentioning.
I'm not gonna You know Jeff Heath at 64.
5 33 solo tackles give him 24 catches on 33 targets.
I don't really see that as being anyone legitimate that the Giants would be into.
And then the other name that will touch base on here real quick would be.
But, um, love in it as understanding with that Prescott with the man in motion coming down the line, the handoff is to Zeke.
He gets 1/2 a yard.
I'll tackle nice job from the D line.
Clinton Dix, right down in there again, along with fellow lineman to secure that stop on that play.
Ah, there you go.
there was the other one. I apologized.
I want to take a quick peek in there at the linebacking corps.
Where are you? Oh, movies listening.
EJ is Yes, he is underneath the edge Rushers.
Ah, playing to a 64.7.
Is Joe Thomas on the edge there, um, for the Dallas Cowboys, Defensively in the shock on with Zeke Elliott on his hip, Three wide receivers up top.
And it will be, Ah, Witten staying in.
And then a quick flick of the wrist there.
Nice job by the Chicago Bears, identifying and then bringing extra pressure toward Zach Prescott so that wouldn't could not block both.
And do not give enough time to get that ball out with any consistency.
A quick 39 coming up here for the Dallas Cowboys.
And like we said that this defense can get themselves on target here looking for Ah, Randall Cobb.
There was Dak Prescott.
You get yourself into a rhythm, you give yourself certainly the opportunity to now get this offense back on the field.
Avoid and his mistakes for ah Mitchell, Travis Key.
And then you have an opportunity to get a lead here, and that's when this defense can really start to pin your ears back and put pressure on Dak Prescott to go over to more of a passing attack and see what that could do to move the needle on this one out of the shotgun.
Once again, you got sick Elli bleeding out of the backfield.
Prescott looks down the middle, and that one is almost brought in there by Caught a lot of defensive players around there.
Clinton, Dix cold happen, his hands for his fellow teammate.
Everyone getting in on that action in the quick story and forth and nine punting will be the Dallas Cowboys that almost less than about a minute of play of a game action there and was Linebacker 44 dropping back into coverage as well.
They're just to deflect that.
One throw was high.
Jackson was there as well, for the defense of Chicago Bears of once again.
7 on pro football focus, We said for a man like probably right down there would be Joe Thomas and at 612 32 you know, got good size on him, certainly at that EJ rust position.
But once again looking for real Needleman as Cohen does a nice job on a punt return here.
Once again, Chicago Bears will have some solid fuel position opportunity here.
We'll see where they get mark out.
Ah, that, uh, coming back in here after the timeout.
13 yard return, thereby Cohen.
And we'll see where they start that Dr um, the other players that we were highlighting, Of course, we're going to be the corner back there and then Covington, the defensive tackle.
So that's the defensive side of things.
We know that Chicago is getting back onto their offensive side, but we'll still go ahead and take a look over to the offense of the Dallas Cowboys.
And then we'll consider about whether or not we're gonna ride this one all the way out the halftime Or will we go ahead and duck out of this coverage and maybe tuck back in there on the second half of this? Certainly has been nice, though.
I mean, listen, it's a competitive game.
I think this is close to what you would have expected.
I don't I didn't think that the Chicago Bears were gonna blow.
Have the door's going off by any stretch of the imagination of certainly that turned Over There by Mitchell Robiskie plays baked.
Now you're talking about at least opportunity for three there, and instead you're locked in here at seven apiece.
So rather than having the ball up 10 7 right now and maybe an opportunity to even go to 13 7 heading towards halftime now, you gotta have consistency, have a nice, sustained drive and certainly put some more points on the board here.
And start to **** that pressure onto the Dallas Cowboys, a team that has been struggling these last handful weeks while the Chicago Bears are starting to surge.
Okay, let's get a little bit of look here talking.
About two minutes.
We'll get this live game action up here is well on this game.
Just we can continue to fall some stat lines for you, also to this 0.
5 attend there from Dak Prescott for just 45 yards on the other side.
In spite of that interception, 6 to 7 for 70 yards for Mitchell Drabinsky.
And that's been on that touchdown, connecting with his big target, Alan Robinson.
So, uh, this will be a ball on Chicago's 49 so once again rate there at midfield.
Opportunity to get yourself in the good field position here.
They were edited out there by neutral zone infraction on that last drive that kept it alive and eventually resulted in a touchdown.
And we'll see what happens here when they come back into the live coverage touching in on the offensive side of the bowl.
Ah, for the Dallas Cowboys.
But let's not kid ourselves.
Even if he was on some, we're gonna be interested in Tavon Austin.
Jason went in guard right tackle.
Ah, but it's 7 20 I don't think he's going to be anybody.
Probably a backup at this point.
Frisky in the shotgun with a four wide receiver set he's got Montgomery.
Hands it off on the sweet goes off the left side.
Nice job here, works past the first linebacker and picks up a nice first down here moving raid into Dallas territory.
And this is what we're talking about.
Controlling his game, working that running attack, feathering in a couple of nice passes from Mitchell Drabinsky, and all of a sudden you can see the Chicago Bears team doing what they didn't last season.
Try to rely on that defense to get some good three and outs for you. Avoid mistakes.
Avoid the turnovers, and you can see the path to a win here for the Chicago Bears.
And this one, it's Robiskie, once again have the shotgun.
With Montgomery off to his left hand side, three wide receivers head down low with an additional outside top of the screen.
It will be an inside job.
Montgomery splits up the middle, goes through the tackle of Sean Lee, goes through the tackle of the safety and gets himself down to the 25 million to 24 yard line off the Dallas Cowboys, pushing themselves easily down to field goal range.
And you're starting to see some cracks in the facade here for the Dallas Cowboys defense.
This is straightforward here.
Lee cannot get that tackle there, and then a great job by Montgomery, taking out of the defender of the second level and finding himself pushing for an extra 567 yards.
And this is Montgomery, the rookie that you want to see really started to build her.
That was Woods coming up trying to take him down as they get all the way down to the 23 yard line here, out of the shotgun against seeing wide receiver set.
Now hold comes in motion down toward the last payment Inside Draw again.
This time the Dallas Cowboys bring the horses and off the edge.
They wrap up on gunnery for no gain.
2nd 10 coming up.
And I was taking a quick look inside of here to see if there was anyone.
This is one player that I want to check in on.
I suspect it has not gotten a snap yet for the team, so we will not highlight him.
And there's nobody else, really.
And then Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb.
Jason wouldn't Avon Austin those big, unrestricted free agents out of the shotgun again to your wide receivers in close, with two undershirts put outside at the top and bottom of your screen.
Cohen, now in the game too risky, was looking toward him.
Now goes deep down the field, looking for maybe a holding Kohler penalty.
No defensive passenger stands against Robinson.
It will bring up third and 10.
They're good defense on the outside.
Certainly had an opportunity there.
If he lays it out with a little bit more arc on that pull towards the end zone a little deeper, I think maybe Robinson gets a chance here.
Certainly a little bit of a shelf there on the outside, A little bit of hand checking. I don't know.
It's hard to tell, and obviously you're not gonna challenge these places.
We've seen what bears out, and I think there's enough there.
Incidental contact is.
Well, you like to see that he called, whether or not of the lines with the modern NFL or not.
Certainly that's how I'd like to see that one get called more often than not on third and 10 Travesty, looking over the middle, connects with his man, tries to screw himself around the outside, avoid to tackle, and there will be a flag thrown in here late and typically is.
Miller picked up that first down, However, unless this is holding on the back side, or it looks like Miller's talking about a possible facemask cold here, I'm thinking whenever you see a waters here are tight and do one of these motions probably means a little blocker.
Shove in the back there.
I always hate this, too.
I think that is trying to plead his case here.
But if you are him, what the rest are huddling up here, having the conversation.
What are you going to convince them? Out By trying to stick your neck in there and see if you can tell them I know that you were watching it.
What I'm saying to you is this was a pet, you know, I wasn't doing anything there and there was actually also a face mask.
Grabbed their on woods as he brought down since saris.
He brought down ah Miller there on this play and a nice job by Miller.
Got a chuckle, shook off that would be tackler at about the 20 and then worked himself around.
That engine was able to get that first down, converted.
We'll see what the play call is here as they're looking at winds there.
I honestly don't know, You know.
They call him on that, pushing the back there.
I think he got there and was willing to do it, but let up, but the last time there.
And nevertheless they do in fact, call it there and Nagy is not a fan.
Third and 13 now.
So now they're backed up your seat.
They play it safe and just try to keep themselves within good field goal range.
We know that certainly there have been some issues a sw far as field goals in Chicago goes to, um, go though outside there to the tight end. 89.
Take a look at start 49.
Take a look at his number there to get his name, but this will bring up.
That was horse that on the reception brings up 1/4 and five, but they do move the chains down, move the ball down there a little bit closer.
Give you ah, much easier opportunity here.
So you pick up eight yards there.
This will be Eddie Panero is 15 or 20 on the season long, 53 within his range.
Here, you would say on We'll take a look.
The Bears can connect and get themselves a three point lead with eight minutes to go here in the first half and straight on through and true is near so very nice job there by the Chicago Bears.
In spite of the penalty on that last third.
Three give themselves a lead.
And once again now that was about a three minute drive.
Not that long, but the defense was out the field quickly.
They can go ahead and get account there, try to end their ears back once more and started hacking at this deathless offense.
While we have a minute, we dive back in there and reminding.
So from a restricted free agents the point, not a lot of opportunities there would be interesting is then we'll take a look just at the restricted free agents because, given the guys at the Dallas Cowboys need to think about addressing in the off season, some of these players could fall by the wayside.
We highlight only relatively low contract guys.
Ah, wide receiver and Burton.
You've also got tight end jar.
Wayne rushed the ah Q B.
So we'll go ahead.
Dismiss that, and then Adam Redman there at the center position but a backup, certainly as well.
So not a lot, really, the root for from that standpoint, the one thing I will just do is re highlight the Ha Ha Clinton Dix what he had on the pro football focus rating.
Uh, and obviously that safety position one where you wouldn't mind if you had someone like him back there for the New York football giants.
We went over this in a little bit of detail on one of our previous broadcast here.
I certainly would be interested in seeing him in the New York football Giants uniform.
I think you would pair nicely with Peppers there and allow you to do a lot of damage on the back end and certainly improve the coverage.
Right? Helping out some those young players 79.
5 is the pro football ratings.
Were he able to get to that free agency period? I think the Giants would have to consider taking an opportunity to get this guy in their strong veteran presence.
I believe we'll double check real quick.
Here is well, I think just 27 years old this point.
We'd be 28 still have a solid three seasons of prime career ahead of him potentially there, so I don't think there's any reason why you wouldn't want to take him.
From that standpoint, it has been interesting to see that scouts around a couple of teams played on Washington for one season, now finds himself there in Chicago.
Obviously, Chicago, you know these are restricted making 2019.
Making a $3 million salary right now and 27 years old would certainly be an opportunity.
So another guy to take a look at their that you may think, has a chance.
So we highlighted a lot of the guys on the defense's side of the ball for the Dallas Cowboys in Byron Jones at cornerback.
Certainly, you also have Ah, Collins, Ah, cornerback as well, Covington at the defensive tackle position, and then a guy like Joe Thomas playing someone respectable edge rushing at 64.7.
So some opportunities maybe take a look at some players that could either improve you or offer depth across yourself.
I just will take one quick look here to see where I have some other game action going on right now, and that will determine how much longer I go ahead and stick in on this one.
If you have been following me over on the we got in this podcast, I was certainly keeping an eye on the Denver Nuggets in New York Next game But given the fact that that is a 98 to 75 blowout as the third quarter closes out, uh, that is going to be one that I do not feel needed to go back into.
And that's kind of what you would have expected.
Am I right? I mean, goodness, courage.
That's an offensive explosion from the Denver Nuggets.
Holy heck, do you have to be discussed? If you are in New York next fan.
But, hey, we don't got wooden Tigress on that.
They're highlighting now, Once again, that facemask call here happened twice, one of the initial tackle and then on the tackle, going in the ground.
So you're talking about to face mask penalty that could have gone against the Dallas Cowboys.
Instead, they call the block in the back there on the tight end there, and so that brings about a certain agrees with first, downplay cancer back outta range.
They still managed to get three on the board there, And now, with Dak Prescott under center now moving the linebacker into the backfield, he tries to wow, great pressure up the middle there.
Nice job by Zeke.
Give him all the credit in the world for a least.
Keeping that big body off of Dak Prescott allows him to get it out in the direction of Amari Cooper.
However, he does not connect with him, and we will see a second in 10 here now with 7 55 to go in the first period.
Gotta like, I mean, if you're if you love to get back in touch of the Bear report, that would actually be a fun recheck on our cross over to see how they feel after being from four and 6 to 6 and six going down the field.
There was that press got nice job by Amaury Cooper to get down low with some tight coverage there.
Catch that ball off the surface, picking up the first down as the Cowboys will try to hustle up here to live and give themselves an opportunity.
Thio get themselves back into a bit of a rhythm and certainly give their defense a bit of a rest here as the Chicago Bears and getting Getsem both plays there on the Elliot, the lone backfield Prescott under center with to ride receivers out top of screen split out low is I believe Cobb.
There, Azealia gashes up.
The gut shakes off a would be tackler.
A second tackler cannot bring him down, and he will now bring it down there just inside the 30 with a nice run up the gut there as Ezekiel Ellie gashes the Chicago Bears front, he went right through the middle of his defense, and I was I was paying complement.
This offensive line moves them out of the way in a hurry.
Nice. I mean, not really.
Look for the lane went strip that got wasn't touched until he reached 10 yards up the field.
And by that point, you are not going down at this man's ankle on bringing him down to the field.
And now they find themselves right at the 30 yard line as Prescott fight was in the Shaka.
Just go ahead and communicating a change of play here, getting it after the tight end.
Jason wouldn't split out off the line.
Three wide receivers set again.
The draw play goes to Ezekiel Elliott spins in with a tackler and picks up about three or four there on the first **** place, bring of a second and ah six, I will say, Maybe even said, Back under center goes Dak Prescott here again, changing the play play clock down to 321 Gets it all just to make a time there.
Another hand off, particularly it goes off the right tackle.
Their only picks up a yard and 1/2 will bring up 1/3 down and 54 of these Dallas Cowboys.
They are at the 25 yard line that certainly give themselves an opportunity.
It's high, this one, right back up at 10 with as we approach five, nearly five and 1/2 minutes to play now in the ah, the second quarter here.
Excuse me, They just make a little adjustment there. That's it.
Back in my seat, a little really soak this game.
And third and four officially. Now here.
See, the Chicago Bears can tighten up, hold them to a field goal attempt and then give themselves five minutes a game action potentially to move back down the field, Mitchell Drabinsky and give themselves a lead going toe.
Halftime where we will take a look inside the numbers and highlight how some of these stats have played out.
Looking all the way outside was Dak Prescott.
Ah, with ah Wally out of the backfield there looks like one that he was that the doctors had only had eyes for him.
Hey, looked at first for a second look there, but out of the backfield had no interest in looking back for this ball.
He's running a go route looking to get over the top on the linebacker, which potentially he may have had the opportunity to go for.
But you certainly have to get your eyes back to the quarterback to see if he needs to check down to you quickly.
They're on the third and foreplay where if he had done so, would have fallen for the first out.
Instead, it will be an opportunity for the Dallas Cowboys to knock through the time field goal, and he's gonna shank that one to the right.
So, just like that, a turn over on downs here, following the mist for the Dallas Cowboys.
It will hold at a 10 7 game and with on the nose, five minutes a game action.
It is a good hole.
Good snap, good hold.
But the way you just took that one, why buy a hair to the right, and, ah, the pressure continues to Matt around Jason Garrett.
And what will happen with him this offseason? I take no pride in that.
I think he's done a fine job in Dallas.
But listen, when you're two and 10 Giants fan, you gotta find some Glee Summer, don't you? Oh, good gravy.
We'll talk a little bit here.
Just big picture before Chicago gets back here on the offensive side of things that only I'll pull up the restricted free agents just to double check in case there's anyone worth noting.
We're highlighting the restricted free agents on the, uh well, the unrestricted free agents talking about a guy like Danny Trevi Finn at the inside linebacker position on the defensive side.
And then you got intercepted.
Obviously the one we want the highlight there as well.
Probably the big takeaway I did that.
I'd look a take a look here real quick.
And Erin Lynch as well just to see if we can get a number on him.
Uh, for the Chicago baggers hoo ah.
Listed at linebacker edge rusher.
Uh, playing to a 44.8.
I'm not gonna bring him into the full for the New York football Giants in terms of where we want to go this off season.
Ah, but going into just some of the restricted free agents here for the Chicago Bears, let's start on the defensive side just to take a look and see if there's anyone worth noting.
Ah, they do have the Carson safety.
You got Harris certainly well, and then outside linebacker Irving.
Let's talk about.
There was little that offenses side of the ball and see what we can glean.
And they've got the right tackle way highlighted.
So he hasn't yet.
He's a backup, hasn't played very well. Levin.
So there you go.
So we didn't take a look at this, Certainly, from that standpoint on not anyone really worth writing home about.
And then you talk about overall.
Not a lot of guys in the unrestricted class as well.
So you know the moat, for the most part, defensive players what we're taking a look at strong the safety position with ha ha Clinton Dix.
And then you talk about Byron Jones and columnist for the Dallas Cowboys at the linebacker edge rusher spot, Joe Thomas and then Covington.
So when we were highlighting this, though, I'll foot back through quickly in my notes here.
As we can say, How does that rate out against what we want to talk about? When we're looking at the New York full Giants, we'll give you those pro football focus numbers and just say what we had an opportunity to see here.
It may take me a second bear with me friends. Here we go.
You're talking about one getting into the linebacker numbers, right as we have to risk you starting here from their own 32 yard line under center tight and goes in motion, and he will roll outside the pocket.
Robiskie looking back across the other side of the field, never a good idea.
And then he barely throw that one down to ground there.
They're going to scoop it up by Dallas.
They're they're blowing the whistle down there.
Yeah, clean, incomplete pass there.
But if you are mental Strabinsky, let's go ahead like we said, not do the bad things here as we take a look at this replay.
Yeah, he's good.
Going forward with the bullets and incomplete.
But what he's doing rolling out of the pocket, going to the right side, then and he started, looks the left side of the field, tries to roll back toward that pocket and then make some type of who knows what throw their needs to just get that ball tucked away.
And, you know, make those runs.
If you need to try to pick up a couple of yards and then get down and avoid any costly mistakes like we highlighted, your defense is doing some heavy lifting. 40.
So far, you catch a break with the missed field goal there.
Don't make a mistake that's gonna cost you this one.
They're going to say you got off in time.
Clock was at zeros.
They faked the draw and then Travis Key will get outside to the left.
There, with Sean Lee in coverage, slide down nicely, brings 1/3 down opportunity.
Give him 1/3 and reasonable in about five, so they will have a chance here to convert and keep the ball in the offenses hands and see if there's an opportunity there to make a play.
So we talk about those lines.
What were some of the edge rusher, right? A guy like Joe Thomas, 26 years old, 64.
7 pro football focus.
That's gonna fall in line with a guy like examinations.
Please expand its played that way for them.
The young rookie for the Giant's Golden currently was.
Well, he was right out of 55 on PROFOOTBALLFOCUS so I could take a look inside those numbers.
I would guess, maybe in coverage, bringing him down as a nice job from Drabinsky.
Gets on the outside, connects with Alan Robinson for the first out of moving the chains here.
409 to go here in the quarter and the clock will pause there.
But Robiskie of checking with his main wide receiver and target, you know, And then a guy like Martin we talked about we're gonna be moving on from He was a 57 here and then go to the three.
So, you know, while that reading may not seem like the biggest number in the world, you are talking about improving right, getting an improvement.
And that's what this team needs to be thinking about is how come you just get better across the board here just now on the shock on 200 years out on top as, ah, coming in motion down the bottom of the screen and you, the inside draw to Cohen.
You take some blocks, looks pretty good there.
Gets himself about six yards on that first down plate as they approach the midfield and we'll have a second down and now four.
Coming up here with 3 30 to go in the first half.
This is a big chance here.
Talk about trying to get some of these.
You can get your punching a touchdown and yourself 17 7 lead really started to shift this in a very difficult direction for the Dallas Cowboys and trying to keep themselves in this game.
I'm just going to scan for your mind.
Here is I want to try to find the defensive line ratings of for the New York football giants so that we can then go ahead and highlight that back and how it compares to Covington.
And then, of course, also the cornerback position as well, another hander in another hand off inside.
Excuse me for just about one yard.
Gains in Montgomery on this play nice job by the Dallas Cowboys surging in there.
They'll give themselves an opportunity as we move in towards the 2 50 mark here, a chance to get off the field, how it still have all three of their time out so they can get it back in the hands of their offense.
Certainly you're seeing 2 500 teams, both with lots of play for And this would be interesting to see if they can get it across the line going either directions.
So we talk about Covington defensive lineman 67.5.
Reading inside those numbers.
Strabinsky goes out of the shotgun with three wide receiver set Alan.
Now Robinson moving across the line, coming down to the bottom of your screen.
They will reach in the neutral zone.
That'll get blown dead.
They will pick up that first down, I believe.
On the neutral zone infraction.
False. Ah, neutral infraction.
Offsides Call going at the Dallas Cowboys.
Turn gets the chains moving.
And now, with 2 20 to go.
Second time we've seen this in the quarter.
But you're busy working that hard count, getting the Cowboys to jump it will be Bennett cold on this one.
Get a new set of downs here to 20 to go.
Now you're talking about getting out of the two minute warning, forcing down to try to use some of timeouts, potentially so they can't have those to utilize on the back end of it.
And now, as you move across midfield, you're obviously in a great situation here.
This one will probably get down the two minute warning before they wanna play.
Following the neutral Zone faction called so well that the two minute warning there we'll highlight as we were talking about.
Let's get down inside that defensive line, right, Williams at a 65.
7 profootballfocus Lawrence crushing it 82.8.
You talk about B.
Hill playing to a 77 reading Macintosh 67 Tomlinson and 80 we highlighted question marks around some of the players.
How many will they all be back? You have to re sign Williams.
If you want to go.
You let Williams walk and then maybe pick up a compensatory pick, and then you're talking about basically having given up 1/5 round pick to rent him for however, many gave eight games in the season.
Essentially, that coming tonight 67.
5 is not gonna stack up the bill.
Right? So for me, I'm gonna go ahead and make that note that he's probably not worth the look See there.
The other guys that there weren't really worth looking at are going to be this cornerback position for the New York football Giants, where they struggled mightily.
Now, the only problem that I could see in this regard is that when you get inside these numbers, you're talking about young players that are going to be on this roster no matter what.
You're not gonna cut ties with DeAndre Baker after his rookie season.
I know that he struggled, but you're still not going to do it.
You're not gonna cut out of the sand deal.
Whose flags? That he Maybe if he can stay healthy and back on this field, I actually think you have something in him you're not.
Julian loves showing a little bit of flash there on the back end as well.
So you like that a guy like Grant Hayley, Maybe he's on the bubble.
Valentine is really struggled for you, you know? So there's certainly some players that maybe you could think about moving on from, at the very least, trying to bring in some of that competition to see what could bear out.
If I can't find the numbers here, I'll dive right back in my tea.
One last look here.
Yeah, so might as well.
I'm gonna dive back in on the pro football focus numbers in and around the New York football Giants secondary.
And then we can compare into these couple of guys.
9 for Bryant, Byron Jones and then Collins at 66.5.
And see if that's something that the Giants might be interested in and potentially who you gonna replaces? Well, right you got to be talking about Can we improve ourselves with giving the guys we know we're going to be there? One of the players you think about.
I know these writing.
This wheel has to Is your Norris Jenkins that big contract hit? We highlighted this on our last broadcast.
Talking about how in the secondary you're not looking if you are the New York football giants or anything.
Your other teams looking at me picking up generous Jenkins.
He's on for $11 million under contract.
Next year, the Giants conceive about six million by cutting him and taking it.
The thing about three or four million dead, cap it.
But then he goes to free agency.
And if you're one of these teams that maybe is looking for a veteran cornerback, you'll pick him up at a better contract.
There's no reason you're gonna trade away any of your drafts assets, even if it's 1/5 or sixth round.
Unless maybe you think there's gonna be a bidding war going on.
Maybe you throw a bone the Giants way, but by and large, it's why you talked about the idea of If you're gonna move him, you should have moved him.
Adoring the trade deadline out of the shock on three wide receivers down the bottom of your screen.
The inside draw goes to Monk only makes the first man this now burst up the middle of the field there, picks up a solid nine as we get under the two minute mark now going towards 1 45 Plenty of time here for the for the bears now If you're the Dow scale the Cowboys, you're not gonna call the time out on the 2nd 1 Travesty remains in that shotgun with Montgomery on his hip, the quick draw play once again trying to pick up that first and shuffles his feet and does, in fact, get pushed back here.
Still, 1/3 and one lost 1/2 a yard there, and we'll see if that was made that choice to try to use one of their time outs.
Here they are at the 35 yard line.
So no reason to you right now, still not close enough range of electricity will go with Sneak, and he will pick that one up with two time outs.
An opportunity for the Chicago Bears to make a choice about calling a time out here or trying to get up and run an extra play.
I think you can.
You could still get up, Roman, if you want to calling the time, that would give me an opportunity just to set yourself and see what you want to do.
Looks like Maggie.
We'll continue to run, and now Montgomery switches over to the right side off.
Uh, whiskeys hip looking to the left, now comes back to the right, rolling out, running away from pressure.
He will pick up about four foot four yards there and then gets out a ban on saving those two time outs. Again. Travesty.
Trust your instincts.
Make your quick decision and go with it.
If you don't think something's there, try to pick up three or four yards.
Get outta bounds.
Live to play another down.
I think sometimes any quarterback across the board, you're too focused on trying to make that extra play, giving your team the big look downfield when 44 yards, five yards on first down.
Saving those timeouts continue to work into the towards the red zone for your team that works just as well.
And now, even with all the time outs, you're getting down to a low enough amount of time that Dallas will certainly have to be pressing.
If they were to get the ball back here with any amount of time on the clock inside the 29 now Ah Prescott started Prescott.
Travesty looks over the middle, connects with once again this time is tight end on.
It looks like they'll come down there.
Maybe just shy of the first down marker underneath.
They do give him the first down yardage.
They are 24 now, out of the shock and not calling their time at approaching 30 seconds to play.
Could have been a false start there.
And fact was, this will go against that rookie tight and holds who's done some nice work for a little flinch.
There he reacts.
The hard count from his quarterback and missile back them of five yards now, and this is where it gets a little tricky.
I don't know if the play clock will run here following this penalty.
If it is, then you assume they're gonna take that time out in a hurry and go ahead and, uh, try to get themselves reset.
Yeah, tight end there on the outside of the show that really just want to make sure that it did.
In fact, have that correct.
We'll follow you through here to the halftime mark.
I'll go ahead and review some of the stats on both sides of the ball and then you go ahead and probably take a step away.
I may close out this life of cast here.
Just take a look around the league over in the n B.
A side of things.
Multitasking as I am before deciding if I'll come back in on this game.
Action leader in the second half is.
Obviously, this has certainly been entertaining.
It's been a close one all the way through, just letting you know if you are New York next fan.
Uh, they are losing 1 19 to 82 in the fourth quarter.
If the physical has to get fired right, you can't get blown out by 44 then come back and be losing right now.
By what is that 18.
You're talking about 37 right now? I mean, good grief.
What a disaster for the for the New York Knicks.
I apologize to the fan base, and I'm not even a fan.
Juicy on the shotgun, takes the snap, looks downfield, cut necks with Miller in between two defenders, gets himself down inside the 10 to the eight yard line, time out, quickly called by the Chicago Bears.
And that will be now.
We'll have one time on that.
They used that time out on that last play or not.
But what? Ah, cool my goods in between the linebacker and the quarterback there, Robiskie threads the needle on a near goods perfect spiral.
A little bit little wobbly there.
Great job by Miller, locking his eyes and on it bringing in, then having the frame of mind to get a field there.
So they do call that time out.
20 seconds that was their last amounts upon.
The penalty had been running so inoffensive.
Penalty clock continues to run.
They call that the second time out there.
Now, with 22 seconds, you are inside the 10 so reasonable enough here that you can try to work a couple of options.
But again, make sure that you know Travis Key to play smart here.
Don't take any risks that the play isn't available.
Zip that thing clean out of the end zone.
Try to make any please.
You're rushing yards are highlighting 74 89 in favor of the Chicago Bears.
A couple of nice runs on this drive.
We saw that big running play on the previous Dr for the Dallas Cowboys prior to that Mr Field goal attempt.
So out of the shotgun.
Three wide receivers down on the bottom of your screen with another one split out top there.
Ford wide receiver set all the time.
The world goes back in the end zone, up high but unable to come down with it.
Look, took four seconds.
It's broken up there on the on the back end there.
Nice job by the defense of the Cowboys there.
This isn't a bad look, though.
Linebacker and coverage just a little bit higher.
I think it doesn't allow the linebacker to reach in and get his arm right around that elbow there and pull it down a little bit.
Nice job there, defensively and Travis Key giving his thumbs up there to his receiver, just saying, Hey, could give you a little bit better Look there, But again, they can take three.
They can take another two shots here if they keep running plays like that five wide receiver set now, as little I could get a false start.
Instead, they go right back, headed again.
Same play, same target, same linebacker and coverage.
And now, unfortunately, it is wins and he will go down in a heap there.
Looks like he is reaching for that name.
This is going to be a bad injury here for the Chicago Bears.
You hate to see this, and quite, I'm not gonna bust the guy's chops too hard there.
But 54 in coverage doesn't nice job.
He comes up and he actually he lands on his knee.
It's not a bad play on his part, but he lands, comes down right there on that.
That is a brutal play.
Ah, and I just I'm nitpicking here, but I don't love him getting up and afterwards celebrating a solid defensive play.
You can clearly see that this guy is down and hurt on it.
You'd rather see, you know, a player showing a little bit concerned early is just getting yourself out out off the field, there and out of the way.
Uh, from the injured player down.
That being said, I will take a look at him.
Wins goes down here, and he comes down on not only what was his right leg, but then also come down the shin area off his left leg.
Looks like they are taking a look at that right leg right now in and around that knee, maybe always under the ankle.
A lot of body fell down there as all the Chicago Bear Bears players will certainly be looking in their second attempt there a little bit worse from Travis Key trying to get that ball tomb, they step away and coverage on, and we'll just wait to see hopefully that he's okay and able to get up off his own power.
But it looks like this could be a situation where they'll call it for that stretcher on.
I wouldn't expect him to be back in this one.
Unfortunately, I hate to see it.
Duggan, Rory and I talk about it on the weekend.
That's podcast an immaculate, and I talked about it on the one giant pockets.
You hate to see players go down no matter what your rivalry is.
And if it if this was a Green Bay Packers fan, uh, if this was a Dallas player getting injured, I hate to see injuries.
So rather see everybody happy and healthy and on the field for this one.
Certainly, Um, I was going towards, and now we'll work myself into that pro football focus, reining in and around the Giants roster.
We, ah, go inside the generous Jenkins piece.
That's the 1st 1 we want to go to, playing to a 64.
3 pro football focus rating.
So we highlighted Collins and bought and Brian Jones either one of within me. It would be an improvement.
A little bit more of a jump.
Slight edge there for the 25 year old Collins and Williams.
Let's get up under his own power, So that's certainly good to see.
Could be a severe sprain.
Certainly are bone bruise whenever I'm not speculating like that, but I'm just It's just nice to see these able to get up and walk himself off the field.
The head of this third down play with 14 seconds to go before halftime, We know that Baker has struggled.
He's playing to a 37 reading.
We, you know, you also know that he's gonna be there, right? Sand deal has come back healthy.
Only playing to a 47 rating so far would be an improvement there.
And then certainly you talk about a guy.
Um, you know, like Corey Valentine, who's played to just 30 36.
8 rating out of the shotgun for wide receiver sent dropping back Stravinsky, who looks over the middle in the end zone.
I don't know how that I don't know how these goats high goes. We'll see.
You know, this could be an interception or they may be calling it a touchdown here. These are difficult.
It is the same linebacker and coverage again for the Dallas Cowboys.
Ah, this was looking for Alan Robinson than believe that Smith there, Jalen Smith coming down with the intersection interception.
But they're calling it, I believe, a touchdown on the field.
So, as they say, You know, I was gonna say you tried to wrestle that one away, but when the catch is made in the end zone, it's going to go off offensive player having that possession less.
You've clearly had that pick as we take a look back at it, and he does.
So he lands down with that bull.
And then Smith still did a great job in coverage, lays down fully, and then Smith reaches in with his arm and pulls it over to himself.
So the thing that look and review this, assuming that he has full possession of the ball winning lands ground can cause the fumble.
Ah, they called it touched down on the field.
So unless you have something substantial overturned, you would think that would stand.
And with 10 seconds to go potentially and they're not yet looks like they're clean, not blowing the whistle for review extra point is clean through and good for the Chicago Bears, who will head the halftime barring something impressive here for the Dallas Cowboys with a 17 to 7 halftime lead, Dallas Cowboys trending in the wrong direction.
Not gonna indicate that it's over for them, obviously, But this is a team that has been struggling of late.
And were they defaulted? Six and seven? All this on the Eagles have to be licking their chops, taking on the ah now.
Once again, Eli Manning led New York football giants Come Monday night, that being said, we went ahead and highlighted the pro football focus ratings.
They're obviously you're talking about a substantial improvement across the board now, if I was gonna pick one of the two a little hard to say, maybe you take the chance on upside Guy Collins with 2025 years old.
It looks like you would still be an improvement for you.
Um, and then maybe has the higher upside because you can get him on a four year deal, plays until he's 29.
So you're only gonna be entering his prime and thinking you can grow.
Where's a guy like Jones? Maybe you're saying you get a couple of years, Adam, before you feel like she's tapering off and obviously would be the more expensive option.
So too valuable options.
There's we talked about on the Dallas side of things.
As we head into the halftime, I will just give you the highlights here on what we saw between the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears.
Update the stat lines at the kickoff return has run up to 25 pushing through the pile and up to the 30 with four seconds, three seconds on the clock heading in the half.
I wouldn't expect much else, so, you know, maybe 1/2 time he even ever now 30 yard and you can hear the both 50 60 yards of your dad. Prescott.
I don't see that being the case.
Probably just a little kneel down here at the halftime, but we'll take a look.
I don't know who had the kickoff start the game so I could always play a factor in decision like this.
Look what they're calling a legitimate play? No, of course not.
Has got everyone backing up.
So any times were communicating by the hole? You think Maybe, Let's go full box score here.
We're talking about Dak Prescott.
How do you like this stat line? 6 to 13 for 60 yards, giving up a sack there.
No touchdowns, no interceptions.
Playing to a 59.
8 rating in this one.
On the other side is competition.
12 of 17 1 26 for Mitchell Travis Key.
4 yards Average per completion.
Two up, one down.
Have that ugly one down near the end zone has been sacked for a five yard loss, playing to a 106.
Sorry just rating and get inside the cube yards in a minute.
Ah, Ezekiel, 14 for 71 had the long of 31 yards, so 13 carries for 40 yards.
Not as impressive, but still it.
Move the chains a little bit for you.
think maybe you can continue to work that round for the Dallas Cowboys and give yourself a chance here in the second half.
On the other side of the ball, it's a combination here of David Montgomery going nine for fifth, the three of 5.
9 clip long of 20 for himself as well.
And then you have Mitchell too risky, kicking in 28 yards on his own nine carries, again making the smart choices, pulling it down and pick me up some chunk plays.
So overall 73 yards to 89 in favour off the Chicago Bears.
And then we get inside the receiving numbers.
If you want to call it that. Two for 24 for Darwin.
For the Dallas Cowboys.
We only have six completions on the other side.
Holt's led the attack here with three for 56 for the Chicago Bears.
You also had Alan Robinson with three for just 20 yards, but picking up two touchdowns in this one who had him in the fantasy.
Come on, tell me you ran him out there and you're already picking up.
What a solid 12.
Maybe a point for reception.
They're giving yourself up over 15 yards, plus ah, 16 17 with the 20 yards.
So he's moving towards a big number for you.
Hopefully, you are what we could be in here.
We're almost at borderline playoffs.
Yeah, almost going into playoff times here in fantasy football.
So defensive started the ball.
Ah, couple of pass deflections for the Chicago Bears.
One sack, one tackle for lost, 20 solo tackles overall, UM, and a Q B hit to go to boot as well.
Dallas gave give Youa 36 total tackles.
25 of those were solo one sack, one tackle for a lost three pass deflections and one Q B hit Mayfield go for their ah, for the Chicago Bears missed field goal for the Dallas Cowboys.
That looms pretty big now, talking about a one possession game versus a two as it currently stands.
So obviously a Dallas life.
Some things to work on.
And then you also remember those two big penalties that extended drives for the Chicago Bears, their lead to points on the one.
On the one hand, I think it actually points on the 2nd 1 there with see I think was touched a field goal in the touchdown.
So penalties a looming large here for the Dallas Cowboys in the first half.
The number that we didn't want to see if we can pull up your real quick before we step away would be too wanted to know about those.
Oh, actually, you let me say, Yeah, there you go.
So ah, you know, coming into these games, some of the readings could be misleading, right? A guy like you talking about last week, taking on Thursday Night Football, taking on the green Detroit Lions Excuse me.
1 18 rating for Strabinsky.
7 week before 69 reading at the Giants.
Total q B r of 29.9.
So those numbers obviously play a factor there.
Unfortunately, I'm trying to check if I can see and get the q b r on for this particular game.
Ah, because that would be obviously a nice look tohave in there, but we're not gonna get that stat line just yet, so we'll wait to see out how old the situational us at all the situations dictate the Q B R ratings overall.
But right now, man, you've got to be feeling pretty bullish If you're the Chicago Bears defense doing some good work for you, you've held the Dallas Cowboys overall.
So what? Ah, 133 yards offensively.
Meanwhile, on your side of the ball, you're up over a 2 10 Nothing.
But you're talking about a guy, Mr Dubinsky, that could be on pace for 2 20 to 32 50.
Passing yardage certainly needs a couple of big place to break out, and they've been able to connect on them through some suspect defensive play.
You expect some of these numbers here? Nine for 53 for Montgomery.
Keep beating that drum.
Ah, we also highly that Cohen had just two kids out of the backfield for nine yards.
But big conversion catches out of the backfield on third down play.
So, you know, that's what you look at that Look out when you go inside the numbers here, and I never ah see if we can go.
Just big picture here.
The game Castle.
Give me this in affirmation again.
1 32 to 10 in total yards.
The one turnover for Chicago.
14 1st downs for Chicago to nine for the Dallas Cowboys.
Possession very close.
15 13 14 30 for the Chicago Bears.
I wanted the Chicago Bears four of five on third down, so Chicago started out when we get off the field.
Therefore, seven for Dallas.
Not doing bad, but certainly not helping their cause.
And then five drives before.
Certainly, Chicago, having success and again that turned over there by Travis Key could have been at least 3 27 game at minimum, if not 24 to 7 at the end of that first half.
And then you also talk about penalties just four total in the game, but big ones for the Dallas Cowboys coming in key situations in this one as well.
Uh, red zone attempts right now.
Dallas one for one.
Chicago just two for four.
So, you know, not able to convert some of their opportunities, but we'll see how that plays out over the course of the second half.
I will, at this point at the 9:48 p.m.
Mark, I'm gonna take a step away in this one.
I will continue to be watching this game.
I got to get some of that day job work done here.
And then as this one continues to play out, I'm a check in May be the start of the fourth quarter.
You'll get the alerts here on the SportsCastr platform if you'll want to join that game with me.
Beyond that, we'll take the notes that we brought down from the New York football giants. Perspective.
Byron Jones, Covington Collins, maybe Joe Thomas.
We're gonna have those notes are back pocket.
The big name for me is Ha ha Clinton Dix.
We're gonna move him over to our big board.
As I highlighted Ah, I will start to get together a platform, maybe on the pain tree on page, just to get some of the additional information that we're talking about.
Over the course of these, don't lay out a bit of a schedule in terms of which streams you can look into outside of game coverage that highlights some of the breakdowns position by position.
I could identify where we're going to go next year.
Maybe we'll look inside that running back room.
Obviously you're talking about bringing in some additional death may be getting in a pure receiving back out of the backfield. Just a compliment.
Saeko embarking for the New York football giants.
So there will be some of things that will look ahead to in our additional additional SportsCastr Streams.
