We come into this evening with an off night for the Brooklyn Nets.
As we know, coming off that win over the Atlanta Hawks in the previous game, they will be taking on the second of their short two game road trip in Charlotte against the Hornets tomorrow evening.
We come in tonight to take a little preview inside of the Knicks and Denver Nuggets matchup that will be coming to us in just about 13 minutes.
It will probably follow this one through the first quarter at least just give you some of the insects that we're looking at.
Specifically, we're taking taking a look here a Denver as that will be the next matchup for the Nets when they come back home at the Barclays Center.
And don't take anything away from fellow ah, SportsCastr members here.
So if you are someone who is interested in listening to a play by play from a true blue Knicks fan, certainly there's a There's a couple of guys that you could take a look out there and I wouldn't hesitate to point in the direction of Ah, Simeon Russell, who's doing nothing but next coverage.
Definitely, He'll probably coming on.
I would think tonight you check in with his with his stream there and see if he's giving you any coverage.
But this is going to be, of course, the ah, you know, still, Brooklyn Nets focused.
So we're looking really the size matchups that were possibly gonna have to deal with when it comes with a matchup with the Denver Nuggets and a couple of games here for us.
And then, of course, the next.
I mean, they're still a team that plays with with with us in the Eastern Conference.
Obviously, they're having a bit of a rough season here, but that'll be someone would identify as well.
Currently in the background.
We've got that Philadelphia Washington game going up until game time here, so I'll probably just have some.
We'll look into news and notes and 8 to 1 lead here for Philly with a 21 to go in the first as a deal, has a discussion with the referee regarding some of those on court antics.
But at this point now, you wouldn't expect obviously Washington.
We talked about them actually in the podcast.
Uh, who's at the end of the podcast that we got out there today? I had that question for Doug and maybe was on the live stream here on that Hawkes coverage, but about how you know the Washington Wizards shoot 48% from the field first or second league right now.
Last time I checked, I think they were second on Lee behind the leakers there.
Ah, but they're a team that obviously doesn't have any defensive presence as they get a steal and go the other way quickly for an easy bucket from Bradley Bugle there.
But maybe something.
It felt like I posed a silly question once I thought about it on the back end, but typically you just don't see a team yet.
They're playing really terribly or just zero presence in terms of defense in terms of defense, to be able to shoot such a high percentage from the field and still be a team they can't get W's over the course of the season.
But that being said, we start out here, which is the quick look.
It's a news and notes if there's anything worth reporting here for the Brooklyn Nets, if you listen to the podcast that came out earlier today for us, obviously, uh, there's some news there in the New York Post talking about the possibility not necessarily guaranteed, but whether or not Kyrie Irving, how severe is that injury? You know, the last thing we heard from Kenny Atkinson was that he's gotten through most of the recovery, and the next thing will be getting into some contact drills and starting to build from there.
Ah, but after missing his 10th Street game, there's some speculation.
Here's the interesting part because we talked about this.
On the on the podcast is an article that I grabbed hold of and was trying to get the information out as we were starting to record the podcast.
So here's the issue that probably with the article they highlight the idea of saying that it's, you know, that the injury and that with a used in terms of shoulder impingement, is a very broad term.
So the article goes on to basically say it could be a number of different things in number different areas that you would want to be concerned with.
If you're the Brooklyn Nets or the Brooklyn, that's fan base.
The problem is, what they're saying is it could be They're not saying that he didn't have any other information out there around it.
And so I had to kind of stumble through that alive on the podcast on the back end.
As I was getting some of that additional information, uh, basically had to just kind of voice myself on my own baton A and take a bit of a beating from from Doug there, knowing that I kind of backed into it.
But listen, it's one of those articles that gets you look, to look at it and certainly catch those last terms of it could be worse.
That being said as of right now from Kenny Atkinson Kyrie Irving should be working his way, tours the contact drills and obviously progressing in the direction of getting himself back on the court for the Brooklyn Nets, giving this team opportunities and some difficult matchups that we highlighted when we came in talking about that first quarter of you for the Brooklyn Nets.
Ah, and what it could mean for them over the next quarter of the season.
Looking towards that All star break period, we will, as we build towards the start of this Nick's next game against the Denver Nuggets.
Take a look inside the injury report.
Ah, you have Peyton will be out in this one.
Ah, correction with the hamstring is available for the Nuggets so it listed status is being out.
And then Reggie Bullock back will be really reevaluate early in December.
So don't expect anything back then, but they got a number of other players back on the court for them.
We go inside the stat lines for the New York Knicks and talk about some of those guys that have been a part of that starting rotation for them.
Certainly you got Marcus Morris.
Julius Randle, obviously the youngster orgy Barrett Mill Aquino be back out there for them tonight and then a Taj Gibson has gotten a handful of start for them over the course of the season.
Those would be the Big five here when you talk about who's been getting some nice minutes, obviously, Mitchell Robinson also playing a role for them with six starts over 17 games on the season.
Bobby Portis making significant appearances, leading everyone else in that kind of secondary unit.
Along with Carl Knox.
Kevin Docks with 2020 games played in only three starts.
There point leaders for the team right now.
Marcus Morris, leading all scorers with 18.
7 back on the floor, was listening in on the Michael Keisha early today, apparently suffered that injury with his kid jumping on him in the bed in the morning.
So that's the dangers of Ah, of starting a family, you know, That's why I That's why I've avoided it to this point.
7 points for him. Rebounds for the team.
Julius Randle Eyes.
Maybe you would expect leading the unit with 8.
7 assist goes to nil.
Aquino with three and 1/2 steals also for Milky Know, nearly one and 1/2 per game, the blocks going to Mitchell Robinson with just under two at 1.
We talk about who else you can look for beyond in some of these categories.
Who's rebounding after Julius Randle? We go into that category here across this roster, and though though he does lead the team at 8.
7, you have Mitchell Robinson could giving you six and 1/2 a Game.
Bobby Portis giving you 65 for R.
Four and 1/2 for Taj Gibson was just telling you, it's It's a team effort there.
And also you necessarily, maybe have, you know, the guys who identifies big bodies, always collecting things back to the Brooklyn Nets.
That's why you see primarily it's DeAndre Jordan and Jared Allen that get the bulk of those rebounds.
But on a game to game basis, you always do need to look for whether it is Joe Harris getting a couple of handful rebounds there.
Certainly, we've seen Ah Garrett Temple do a nice job, but this along with Tori on Prince as well, rising up and getting those handful rebounds just to make sure that you're securing, especially on the defensive glass and not allowing for second chance opportunities.
The assists leaders now.
And this is also a concern.
I would say be And me and you know this If you're a New York Knicks fan, one of the things that they do not have is a true point guard, right? Why? And you shouldn't.
You shouldn't care. Our coup.
Good to see you again, man.
Um, why should you care of their band? Uh, I'm New York Giants fan.
They just got awful.
But I don't care.
I keep watching every single game because that's what you need to do, right? Um, that's just a part of being a fan of a team, even when they're struggling.
Ah, as we're highlighting here about when you look at this roster and knowing that they just do not have that true point guard, you know, nil, Akina.
Peyton gives you actually three point.
So he technically is the team leader.
That is only the only appeared four games on the season.
That's why they the minimums there to get lucky enough to 3.5.
Randall has three little over 33 for R.
J Barrett Dennis Smith Jr.
Giving you just about three a.
Well, the problem is that you know you don't have any true leaders in that category on this team, which means you don't have something considered consistently come down the floor and facilitate for other players on the roster.
And obviously, that can lead to some issues for this team.
And, uh, the record indicates that it has not gone well for them, but also highly, the turnovers.
It doesn't necessarily come in as the worst case scenario as we turn over into some of these stat lines here and some interesting ones as well, paved it over to the Nuggets and just run through some of these basic details before begin to game action.
That kind of give us a more in depth coverage, as I will also switch over.
Make sure that I have the channel tuned in here before the game gets going.
From a turnover standpoint, the league glows with the Dallas Mavericks at just over 12 their rate of 12.
4 of the Boston Celtics Denver Nuggets, as we will now highlight at 13.
3 on the season, doing a very nice job limiting themselves in terms of, ah, turnover rate, giving them opportunities to have success bye by taking turnovers by the opposition, executing on the offensive end and then avoiding mistakes off their own.
Excuse me, A little of a brain **** there.
We look down the line there for the New York Knicks.
We find them in 16th place here with 14.8.
So, you know, not terrible.
They're middle of the pack here, which isn't something you could say about a lot of the stat lines for the New York Knicks.
But nevertheless, when you're a team that has very small margins toe win by on either end of the court, these are the things that you need to try to cut down on.
We also take a look at the free throw percentage is highlighting that the Knicks or a league worst 67% from the line.
So again, what you can't afford to dio and the average 25 attempts per game and that line there is actually governed.
So here it's really doubling down right the next or seventh overall in free throw attempts and then they're dead last in converting on those.
So they're getting 25 a game.
They're only knocking down 17 of them.
So you're leaving yourself with potentially up upwards of eight points and 68 point.
You're not gonna knock down every free throw.
But 68 points there, left up on a scoreboard on a night in night out bases, obviously, is going to spell struggles for the team as well.
When we talk about the free throw attempts for the Denver Nuggets, they are well down there and just a 20 in 25th with just over 20 attempts per game.
However, as we dial up, actually, this is.
This is this kind of starts, this trend here.
The Denver Nuggets are only locking down 74 a half percent of their field goal is good for 23rd worst in the league or, yeah, the fifth worst 7 7/4 in the league here and that 74 a half percent.
The other numbers that we start to look at two are we go inside and outside field goal percentage.
Overall, you're talking about the Denver Nuggets there, 2030 44 a half percent.
You're talking about the Knicks and dead last that 42%.
You take a look at that three point percentage.
The Denver Nuggets or their 24th of 34 a half percent the 36.
3% for the New York Knicks, good for 16th and Lee.
So you know, it's weird how, when you take a look at N B A standings and you start to wonder, you know what's going right or wrong for these teams.
Sometimes enough of an eye test can do it for you when you're talking about the New York Knicks.
But then you look at the N B A and you talk about the standings right now, you know the Denver Nuggets are doing a lot of things kind of average, Yet they find themselves third overall.
Ah, at 13 and five in the Western Conference, just behind the Clippers and the Lakers out there on the California side of things.
So it's interesting to see that this is a team that maybe has some areas that they're struggling in, but they're certainly able to execute and improve those deficiencies and the defense's side of the bowl is one of the areas that you can also go to.
We talk about those stat lines coming in at 10 606 points per game, only 27th in the league in terms of offensive output for the Denver Nuggets.
The Knicks, as you would suspect, not too good 101 good for dead last here on the on the relatively young season now quarter the way through not so young defensive leaders.
This is where we start to talk about it, because even though they don't shoot instead of the highest field goal percentage in the world, you know they're not necessarily doing a great job at the free throw line.
What you do find out, though, is that they are number one, the Denver Nuggets in defense of scoring as them at 101.
9 on the season through these 18 games.
Meanwhile, as we scroll through looking for the next, they find themselves 14th giving up 110.
So you talk about those ratios, right? Even though the Denver Nuggets are only 20 27th in the league there with, uh, excuse me 106 points holding opponents, though the 101102 per game.
That's how you see that positive margin that allows you to find where they're getting those victories on the defense event.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are giving up nine more points on their scoring on average, and that certainly isn't helping them.
Deeper inside of those feel those numbers.
Field goal percentage is Denver holding opponents of 43% average on this season? Uh, not not the league best.
Toronto, actually, at 41 Milwaukee Bucks, 41.6.
But they are still good there for fourth best in the league.
We go ahead and invert this stat line to see where the next land.
And actually, I do have to Ah, little bit of credit where credit is due.
I suppose you could attribute this the defensive presence, though all indications would be that it's not the case.
It just so happens that teams have not been shooting particularly well.
Where do they fall? They're trying to find Look at the New York Knicks here.
I'm sorry you had the logo switched up there.
They're a real father to be 46.
3% good for 11th worst in the league, and we had highlighted.
Speaking about how the wizard's right trees that are high percentage Well, guess what.
On the defense's side of the ball, the Wizards are a league worst 49%.
So Doug nor Ekin giving the old tap on the head with a tack hammer because I could not put two and two together quick enough when we were discussing that just earlier today, looking over that three point percentage again.
Denver Nuggets league best defensively at 30.8%.
The Knicks again.
I keep seeing like the L A Lakers.
Loki is flashing before my eyes and concerning me there and, as you would suspect, fourth worst in the league, the New York Knicks at 37.8.
So obviously you can see why things they're not trending in the right direction for the next.
You can also understand why it's not just about shooting, Ah, high fuel goal percentage in order of having success.
Ultimately, what you're coming down and realizing is that it has to be balanced, right? You need tohave things happening on both ends of the floor.
If you wanna have a long term.
Now what you see from the Knicks is you go out.
You sign some of these players in the off season, and then ultimately you have a whole bunch of pieces around.
And then, as we highlighted that point guard issue for them, you got nobody to lead the team.
So it'll be interesting to see what occurs with the next as, ah, they get underway here momentarily against the Denver Nuggets.
But this has certainly been is ah, season that I think while there were relatively low expectations, you probably would have thought they'd be doing a little bit better this year, given the fact that they brought in some of these players.
Julius Randle, Just guys that can score right, guys that can do some things well, some veteran presence.
But I know from some of the next fans that I've been checking in on on social media there a little bit disappointed in some of the up and down and regressive play of a Kevin knocks and then certainly you go down that line there.
You still have now young rookie and RG very trying develop.
He's had some up and down game But you're not gonna put that on his feet in terms of wins and losses to go ahead and set the table for the Denver Nuggets.
I'll take a brief step away before we get into the live game action.
You have Jamal Murray leading the team with 18.
7 points per game.
Rebounds and assists are going to go to the big man Nikola joke.
It's with 10 rebounds per game, six assists per game.
Steals go to Murray at 1.
7 and ah, faras blocks go.
One really to write home about here.
Ah, we highlighted for the for the Knicks about assist totals, right? And where these numbers go, nobody even touches the six assists Marco of of a joke.
It's and then, on top of that, that you also have Murray giving you nearly five a game.
So between the two of them facilitating that offense, we all know what an incredible passer joke it is not for a big man for any player on the court.
It does a phenomenal job, really social that we'll call the old school as I see Ah, Walt Clyde Frazier on the screen right now, a little razzle dazzle that he's able to do their as well, eh? So you know the point scores.
We highlighted Murray, and we know that a joke.
It is also giving you almost 15 and 1/2 points a game to go along with his 10 rebounds, six system, very healthy stat line for him on a night in night out basis and then even a guy a lake Will.
Barton has certainly come on with the nearly 15 points a game you know, giving you also seven rebounds and three and 1/2 assists to go along with it.
So you're getting some some nice numbers throughout this roster.
Talk about those rebound numbers quickly as well.
Ah, head of just behind Barton Rather is Paul Millsap, who's giving you nearly six per game.
And then he's also kicking in a respectable 14 points.
To go along with this.
Rest of the starting unit that is certainly played with some continuity has obviously exerted their energy on the defensive side of the ball.
And when they can bear out, they've been able to get a lot of wins on this season.
As you know from ah, Brooklyn Nets perspective, we did go up against the Denver Nuggets already once this season, and I will pull up that stat line just to make sure some of the things that probably went wrong in that game for them.
Ah, as we just have a little bit of obliterated and we're not back in action here.
Always have to let that Internet catch up to me.
I'm moving in such a clip.
Ah, back on what? Waas? Where did they say already? Didn't see them yet. This the other there.
I knew it. 101 93.
So, in a game where we know the season as Brooklyn Nets fans, we've seen the map such a high rate of success on the offensive side of the bowl.
Yet in that particular game held to just 93 points and if I'm not mistaken, that may have been the game.
Let me just take a quick double check here.
Ah, full schedule.
I think that's the game where Kyrie goes out.
The date on that is November 14th.
So that was the last game that Kyrie Irving plating gets injured in that one and goes out.
Not going to say whether or not.
It would have been a victory or otherwise.
But bottom line being being held to just 93 points, that would be outside.
Ah, take a look here that could be outside on Indiana Pacers game of the lowest output of the season for the Brooklyn Nets.
So certainly something to keep an eye on in this game, seeing how well Denver it can affect the offense of the New York Knicks.
And what can we glean from Brooklyn, that standpoint as we have that matchup coming up in two games following the Charlotte matchup on Friday night? Quick, step away here just to go ahead and refresh my beverage before we get alive and on the game action.
We'll go ahead and take a look at the play by play again, seeing what we can glean from it.
And, uh, Arc, you thundering Cowboys fan.
You know what, my friend cowboys go on later tonight.
I'm gonna follow this game action through the first into the second quarter and then just for fans in general.
If you're following me on both of my platforms, one giant podcast and picking up and taking a look at some of the free agent prospects from a New York football Giants perspective.
Watching a division rival in the Dallas Cowboys trying to reclaimed their season before it slips out of their grass.
And we see a division that who knows, maybe seven and nine will be enough for a team to take it down the the NFC use right now.
But we will step away and then get in on some live game action here between the Nuggets and the New York Knicks.
And, as I say, will probably follow this through as far as we can leading up towards halftime.
And then I'm gonna step away and pivot over to a little bit of NFL coverage here on Thursday Night Football back in just a moment to get it on the game for them to start to get under what? Welcome back.
We will go ahead and also pull up one more tidbit of information that we touch on here, and that's going to be, uh, let's check out where the line goes on this game Tonight.
We dial up the N B A list here, and they received.
Ah, this is one with Nick's getting nine here.
You want to come on that money line plus 3 20 I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole over under set at just +204 So you're talking about again? We highlighted ah, where this team ranks here in terms of both all offenses and defensive presence.
Knowing that the Denver Nuggets are putting putting out +106 per game and then holding opponents just above 100 I think you can see these.
Martin's probably spread themselves out a little bit, and you see the next falling down into, you know, the one on one No.
1 to 93 stat line.
I just brought up when the Nets took them on earlier in the season.
That sounds kind of reasonable, maybe maybe even a little bit, you know, but I think a little worse than that.
Watching the Denver Nuggets push towards the +105 toe, one of +51 10 range and then maybe holding next in that mid nineties wouldn't seem unreasonable.
If I a word of that a man and I'm not, I might put that down even money and take the Denver Nuggets in this one, or maybe even leave those points, who knows? But bottom line being that this is certainly is a matchup that you said that with 204 this is going to be a relatively low scoring game by MBA standards.
And we were highlighting.
Two were around the broadcast for that Atlanta Hawks game between with Brooklyn Nets.
I didn't think they were gonna reach other that that that over under was somewhere in the two twenties approach. Halftime.
There's no way they're gonna get their nets end up putting, I think out, Ah, what 74 in the second half alone? And that pushed that margin up over there.
So it's pretty impressive how Vegas just seems to know when it matters.
Most able Thio find their way into those lines there if you're there already.
Already Denver Nuggets fans here.
What? Ah, what are you expecting from this game? What do you expect? They actually were just talking, just highlighting their speaking with Fizdale regarding Ah, Peyton, who will be back available for this game? Can you move the needle for this team? Starting lineups come up here with Barton Millsap joke.
It's Harris and Murray and then Morris Randall Gibson, Barrett and Mill Akina of for the New York Knicks.
Peyton on very limited action.
Four games on the season three started 25 a half minutes, eight points in those 25 minutes or three rebounds and 3.
8 assists as we were highlighting their potentially someone who could help carry that facilitation role of for the Knicks As he gets back into the flow of things.
But certainly not X.
I wouldn't expect necessarily right out the gate that he'll give you a large minute share early on here.
That being said, though, if you're the New York Knicks, if your ah Fizdale you're looking to get value out of anyone that you can, and we'll see whether or not ah, he bears out here and get some minute shares as Gibson tips the ball over the Nuggets.
Unfortunately, a nice job by Barton there securing that bowl off the tip and we are underway here from Madison Square Garden as I almost stumble over there and give up my beverage and a quick three goes down for the Denver Nuggets early lead here.
First bucket of the game and it is a joke it's there who, Ah, knocks that one down to start perimeter shooting, especially from joke, which I think is going to be something to watch for against the Knicks.
And as we are saying, this is about highlighting for the Brooklyn Nets, what they can expect in these ones. The baseline jumper.
I will not go for Julius Randle, and this will head down the other way as Murray gets it over to joke.
It's back over to Murray, looking to get into a bit of a rhythm here.
Pulls it back out with Gibson watching him joke.
It's now taking on Julius Randle.
Working down into a low ball low block now pulls up a sloppy fade away.
They're decent job by Randall down the low block gets the rebound here and we'll have the other direction from as an outside shot there from Barrett goes off front room on the feed from Julius Randall.
This is certainly something that the next we're gonna have to watch for it.
As you talk about the Brooklyn Nets from their standpoint, they're gonna need to D'oh! Ah, Good job defending on the perimeter.
We've highlighted this on the Nets team.
You think that Jared Allen has an ability to step out its defense at times and at least show on some of those perimeter shooters, especially from the big men.
Meanwhile, DeAndre Jordan can be a bit of a liability there.
Nice job from, Ah, that was the Morris senior back on the floor tonight and tying up Barton there at the in and around the rim, not at the rim, just down on the dribble there, and they will now jump it up here at the foul line as it remains.
Nothing nearly a minute and 1/2 gone by the Knicks hanging in here.
We've seen the next.
I mean, I've watched a couple of these game done some live look ins.
Tip is brought down by Murray and will work back out, reset the offense for the Nuggets, and nice job by top.
Gibson gets his active hands in.
There will be R J.
Barrett breaking out the other way and getting the flush through slam.
So a nice job here.
We highlighted about the turnovers nuggets, keeping themselves consistent, avoiding any of those types of issues and right now, the next doing a good job.
Early attire by Morris and then certainly a nice defensive play there by Taj Gibson as we see a pullup pop here from Harris goes through, and that will make it good for a 5 to 2 long two pointer, their lead for the Denver Nuggets.
Um, these kind of guys, that perimeter shooting when you don't necessarily have point guards on the defense of anything, that quickness can sometimes bother you.
And then here, a nice long tip out from Taj Gibson.
And then a foul call will go against a E.
Excuse me against the Denver Nuggets here in a reset out of bounds for the New York Knicks, 9 48 to play eyes, you know.
So you see right now, Neil Aquino's guarding up against Taj Gibson be interesting.
It's guarding up against Taj Gibson there in the lane as he fires down to and gets that pastor Barry turns in the lane joke.
It's a little late, recovering defensively and nice little turnaround hook there.
For the veteran as Thea next, at least early here, showing good defensive presence and a nice job on the offensive end is a joke.
It's Mrs Ana, three Bowl had, Ah, a late close out there from Gibson, who now goes downloaded.
Randal Randal draws the double.
Team kicks outside the Gibson can't get that three point look to go but an open intent there and good but a little bit of good ball movement on the side of the New York Knicks joke. It's downloaded.
Millsap Millsap sizes up.
Randall tries to take him off the dribble, pulls up on the fade away on the baseline.
Can't get that to go.
And we're getting into a nice stretch here, where neither team is terribly interested in putting the ball through the basket.
As Morris works down off the edge and nearly knocks it off his own leg out of bounds, Randall now will take control of this one, drops it back down to Morris Morris, working against Ah, Barden.
There cannot get his look to go on the pull of Fade away there on a 15 footer back.
We go and it will be Murray handling the ball he has.
I believe we'll take a look.
A keen, honest Yep, yep, Mill Aquino was on his hip.
There works through joke it and then tried to get that feedback in their hair is to joke.
It has broken up down the lane, another turnover here as Ah, Barrett quickly works the ball down low to Gibson, who goes back outside and finds the lacuna for the knock down 375 lead early for the New York next year.
Eight minutes to go in the first early field goals to a six for the Nuggets, three of 84 The Knickerbockers from the outside goes Will Barton straight on through on a three bowl there, and the lead is quickly a raced for the next announced scrapping.
Going out on the floor here, Murray and more is getting into a little bit nil.
Akina and Randall just kind of separating them out there a little.
So this is kind of one of those roles that you want.
The veteran more is to be for you, right heart of the team.
Gritty player, not afraid to go toe to toe with someone if he needs to.
As a joke, it's looks on, not really sure what's happening.
We'll take a look on the replay here and just see if we gleam anything.
Uh, Morris was switched up on Joke it.
She's underneath the basket and just a little bit scrapping, pushing around.
And, uh, I think Morris gets into the chest of joke it as they were tied up a little bit, waiting for the potential rebound and then joke.
He gets taste of push and just kind of backs away.
And it's birdie that comes in and rushes to his big man's defense there as we move down the other way on the action here.
Dropping into the lane for Gibson was nil.
Akina nice up and in from Gibson and certainly the veteran right now on the floor, doing it both and showing defensive presence and knocking down a couple of easy looks in and around the rim as joke.
It's works to Murray Murray to the outside, swinging it back around now to bargain the feed from Harris.
There, he works it over to Murray.
Once again, Murray, on the perimeter with Morris on his hip bank shot, goes.
How about that for Murray going high off glass to get that look to go as they have a 10 9 lead here, coming up on 7 23 here in the first.
You know, it's interesting when you talk about again.
We talked about teams like this, Uh, you know, over the course of games, typically speaking is Randall dribbles and drives through the lane, kick around from Barrett, then to Morris, too strong on the three pointer and they're back.
The other way comes Millsap on the rebound.
One of the things you think about.
What? These teens early in games, It feels like any two MBA teams can play toe a fairly even stat line.
But as we say as Millsap releases on a three and cannot get to fall, it's always in the margins where you see it.
So, you know, if the Knicks could keep up this type of defensive intensity and be forcing some turnovers, then sure, they can stay in the game.
But you haven't necessarily seen them show.
That ability is.
Morris finds a corner three and gets the Knicks back out in front here.
10 12 and a time out will be cold by the Denver Nuggets two point lead here early for the New York Knicks, giving themselves an opportunity.
And when you find a team hitting its stride like this.
Ah, sounded any given Sunday NFL style, but certainly you can try to catch a team off guard.
The one thing I guess I would say is if you can get scores scoring going against the Denver Nuggets, then you give yourself an opportunity.
Because I don't know if the Denver Nuggets consistently confined that next gear and score 1 15 1 20 on a repetitive basis throughout this season.
I will take a look, though, because sometimes you look at those season numbers and you're not.
You gotta get a better sense of where a team is.
So we go and take a look here or the full time out on the floor for the Denver Nuggets with five inside these numbers a little bit and see what we get when we look over that schedule.
Just out of curiosity, you highlighted when there was no one there over the Nets early portion of the season, but again a lost one of 5 96 to the Lakers lost 197 to the Kings, winning 1 17 104 against the butt against the Wizards, winning 1 16 1 of four against the Suns on defensive teams and then wins that they have had against the Celtics.
You got 96 92 105 95 against the Rockets, pulling them down into a defensive battle.
Certainly skipping over on the big winning is the Grizzlies, 1 31 on then 101 over the Nets, 1 21 and the loss to the Hawks, 101 101 09 91 44 previous games All wins.
Timberwolves, Sixers Heat Magic.
So you know, by and large is a couple of flare up numbers there against the Hawks, 1 25 in the loss against the Grizzlies, 1 31 But for the most part, they're playing in and around, and you know, it seems like actually, probably these handful of higher scoring games over the course of season is probably bringing their overall average up.
If anything early in the year 10 wait.
Wanna wait 100 against the Blazers to start off the season? One away, one of seven against the sons, You know, 101109 So they're right in their wheelhouse.
In terms of that average, they're playing still relatively consistent bowl, and then you talk about what they're doing defensively.
You know, 96 97 14104 90 owes, you know? Sorry, those other two actually lost.
So 105 101 0410 for 92 95 1 14 93 with 1 25 that loss against the Hawks.
But by and large, keeping teams up and around raid around that 101 100 or below century marked with a couple of flare ups here and there.
So defensively, another consistency that they're showing their from that standpoint, if we go ahead and take a look now at the New York Knicks and highlight where they have been, I'd be curious to see where their average flow for the most part.
Because one of the one is not necessarily an impression of number two putting up over the course of a season.
And it kind of bears out here.
Ah, you know, they started out the year.
Boy, they have not crested over.
You're talking about having one too Three, four, 556 games.
Six games so far this season that the Knicks have failed to score 100 points.
So you know, they they're struggling on the offensive end.
And again it goes back to that point guard situation and having a leader on the team.
You look over certainly as Thea as Denver gets inside their joke it she gets that one to go through 12 12 all knotted up Here You look over the Brooklyn side of things.
Kyrie Irving goes down, We know Caris. Levert has been out.
Spencer Dinwiddie able to step up and be a facilitator and leader on this team, and we've seen them also spread that around a little bit when you talk about, uh, Garrett Temple Joe Harris getting involved there, Certainly a guy like a Tory on Prince just contributing on those assist numbers to help keep this team on track as you wait for some of your stars to come back.
Three Pointer does go down there for the Knicks on the offensive end and giving them back that lead teen to 12.
We'll get back in here and reset any of the lineup changes.
If there have been any, as Millsap fires from the corner arable on a three point attempts, it will go the next wave's joke.
It was in on that, trying to get a rebound there.
We get back inside the numbers here in just a second.
When they do, it won't as another knockdown from the corner goes for the New York Knicks.
And that will be now, as Barrett lines that one up.
Ah, five started six point leader, 18 to 12 mics early, four of eight from beyond the arc as, Ah, Murder drove in and couldn't get it to go.
Got that rebound.
Tried to go back up again, and we'll get fouled on the second attempt and now have an opportunity to get himself a couple of points here at the line.
But that is Barrett going back to back there in the corner.
You have to like that from the youngster, obviously giving you some high quality minutes here early in this one, too.
Ah oh, I apologize.
I think it wasn't more if they're on that 1st 1 and then Barrett following it up.
Now one of two here.
You still have Millsap joke.
It's Murray Barton and hairs for the Denver Nuggets, with Gibson, Randall, Morris, Barrett more Senior Barrett and Mill Akina for the New York Knicks.
High man is Morris, with six Barret rate there with five and currently shooting at a nice clip overall, as we will see changes now in between the first and second free throws 1st 1 Good for Murray looking to knock down the second.
Ah, as we do see, uh, any change there? Oh, no, apologize.
Like I say the same, We'll go.
There's gonna be a switch out there, however, will stick with the same line up here for a minute quality.
If anything could change Roberts and checked into the game.
So I did see one come through.
There's took a minute update.
You see Robinson now working on the corner, trying to pull joke.
It's out of the lane a little bit as Randall cannot hit on a bit of an off balance fadeaway shot there from the foul line.
Millsap pitches to Murray Murray off the elbow.
Little floater goes, and it is quickly back to a two point lead here.
18 16 is a cup on 4 45 to play in the first quarter.
We'll go inside the numbers here in a moment.
Just take a look at field goal percentage is early going here all 3/4 away through the first Barrett rising Elaine taking on Millsap Millsap veteran just goes ahead and stymie that opportunity.
Ball does take a touch out of bounds.
Going off of joke.
It's so will stay with the New York Knicks, however.
Ah, a bit of a struggle there from RG Barry Just learning, and this is how you learn in the N B A.
Right, you're gonna take on a bigger body.
Got to make sure used to use your own body to create some of that space and give yourself at arm's length to get that thing up.
And over some of those blocks, Morris feeds it around Robinson, now to Randall Randall crosses over drives the lane, gets up and around Millsap for the Bucket 2016 as we approach the 4 20 mark here in the first quarter.
Smith Jr is also now checked in for the next as well to go along with men Randall, Morris, Barrett and Robinson getting inside these numbers.
The Nuggets have stayed with her, started all the way through here to this point in the first joke, it chicks outside and it is, Ah, splash down from Will Barton will burn. That is not correct.
Barton, from the corner there, though, does not down the three, making a one point game back down the low block for Julius Randle.
Trying to work against Hair is there.
Take a touch, go out of Bath, stays with the next Randall, try and get some work going.
They're looking for a foul call, though it will just stay with offensive possession.
And the New York Knicks, now checking in for the Knicks here, will take a look as he will be replacing Barrett Azul.
Get a little rest here.
Currently, we're highlighting field goal percentage, 43% from the field, almost 44 for the net for the next 46% for the Denver Nuggets.
But not actually volume shooting.
A Morris Moore is over Robinson and then the hand off here, as we will look to see if Smith Jr and anything going back over to Randall now works and into the lane drives through blocking cow bucking foul will be called, and you will have Julius Randle going toe the line shooting, too, as a Grant has also checked in the game here for the Denver Nuggets, three of six for Nuggets from the line.
These will mark now the ninth and 10th free throw attempts before the New York necks, so the next doing a good job so far right saying in this one, is keeping themselves competitive as a Randall comes up short there on the first free throw will die back outside here and there was paid in checking into the game.
I left him there off my roster sheet, not realizing he's going back in on this game.
Action so paid now into the game to go along.
Smith Junior Robinson.
You have Morris and Randall's still out there from the starting unit for the Knicks as Randall connects on the second free throw, and now Grant has checked in to go along with Harris, Barton, Murray and Joke.
It's on the floor here for the Denver Nuggets as we approach the three and 1/2 minute mark to play in the first quarter.
Harris works in around from to Murray Murray downloaded joke.
It gets the feedback from joke.
It has the fire it outside a little bit wildly, but does get it over into the hands of Barton Barton.
It's in the two man game.
Now kicks outside for a wide open look that goes off the ribbon out for Grant's.
Going the other way now is going to be Smith Jr gets it over to Robinson.
Feeds it across to Peyton, getting some answers first action again and from the corner.
More senior cannot get that one to go.
A quick outlet feed from Joke.
It gets it through the lane and a quick foul call taking their on Smith Jr.
Denying Grant the opportunity to get into the basket with ease.
He will have to earn it three minutes to play 2119.
Still a two point lead for your New York next.
Hey, listen, so far, so good.
If you're the New York next port, it's about to check into the game for them as well.
As Grant goes to the line to shoot his to, uh, you know, can't be unhappy if you're a Knicks fan, right? As long as you're hanging in the game.
Grant Mrs off on the off right on the first free throw attempt.
But the problem has been.
I've seen a couple of games that I've looked in on where the Knicks have been in and even in ahead in some of these games against what you would consider to be, Ah, better teams around the MBA, and by the end of it, it bears out that you end up.
You still end up falling away there in the fourth quarter.
So both Mrs there from Grant So the foul pays off for Smith Jr.
And as we come in here under three minutes to play, we'll see if Smith Jr.
With the ball in his hand, drives in the basket, got in and around.
Ah, that was in and around more.
Yes, Morris there for that Ever.
Nuggets met at the rim by joke.
It couldn't get it to go through but cleaned up there on the glass by Randall.
So a nice job there start by Robinson.
So nice job there and that we see from the corner flush on through as a nice shot goes down there for the Denver Nuggets, and they find themselves back within a single point here again.
Go ahead and reset these lineups as we knew.
Now do you have? Oh, hurting.
Gomez was the one who knocked down that 24 footer from the corner back the other way, however nice look there as Mitchell Robinson makes the alley oop off the feed from Peyton.
So paint nerdy, getting to the rhythm as we highlighted being a facilitator for this team and trying to get some easy looks for his fellow teammates.
And that's what you're going to need.
Someone's gonna take charge, especially if R.
Barrett, whose been doing a decent job or is this been with the high men? When you talk about facilitating the offense, you got somebody who's going to help do that.
When he's getting his rest on the bench, Knicks will take a full time out here.
It was a nice look there from painting over the top to Robinson.
Good connection between the two.
We will go inside the numbers as we are just out about the two minute mark here in the first.
I'll carry this coverage over into the second quarter before stepping away and then transitioning over.
A little bit of NFL action over on the one giant podcast will most likely come back into this one looks like we'll be flipping back and forth watching the coverage.
So I'm gonna be curious to see how this game is playing out and whether or not the next can keep up this kind of intensity.
That is certainly, to this point, keeping them in on the game action.
We dive once again.
Inside those numbers.
16 from the field have been the Denver Nuggets, four bit from beyond the arc, matching here of 47.6%.
949 started from beyond the field, so just won the next shot.
Next shot could be the difference maker here for the next in terms of keeping pace.
Doing a great job with zero turnover so far here in the first quarter.
Don't want to be a jinx for anybody to for the Denver Nuggets.
Early Knicks were doing some nice things defensively, highlighted by the veteran Taj Gibson coming up with a steal on getting some easy transition looks for the New York Knicks.
High man is Murray for the Denver Nuggets with 93 of four from the field in safety nine minutes of game action to It's you with the line kicked in a rebound there.
No assists yet on the night for him.
But how about joke? It's right.
We talked about him for a big man just so smooth and so many phases of the game only has two points in this one in 10 minutes of action, one of three from the field.
But it's giving you four rebounds and three assists.
So he's the high man that facilitates this offense, even when he's not necessarily scoring.
You have to respect his ability to get some outlet passes.
You start to move your defense in his direction, and suddenly, you know, either he's dishing it off to someone or you're going to stay at home.
He's gonna pawn this year from the outside and make you make that hard decision about who you want to pick your poison kind of thing.
And certainly we've also seen it from murder early in this one.
Get to that lane and have some those off balance shots go for him.
A certainly helps this team stay balanced, all offensively decent job from this starting unit, though Robinson came in off the bench here for the next.
Gave him Ah, three minutes so far.
He'll carry over here the rest of way.
For the first, you would assume to a two from the field.
Got that nice alley oop look from Peyton as we mentioned.
And Peyton, coming in off the bench, gets his first assist back into the flow here now for the next up, one with 1 55 to play.
Listen, you know, just start just but seven assists on 10 made field goals for the New York Knicks.
That is a very positive sign for them.
Likewise, on the other side of the court, seven assists to go for their nine meet fuel goes.
So certainly, things have been going well for both sides here early from a field goal percentage from facilitating a percentage.
And you just have to wonder if ah next can maintain this.
And as we know, because the Denver Nuggets are a strong defensive team as they make their adjustments, can the next Ken Fizdale figure out ways to get this team adjusted and be able to keep pace with them? Working our way here as ah, floater in the lane will rattle on home there.
How about that Look from the New York next, we'll go ahead and reset our lineups once again, just in case any changes were made coming out of the time out.
Robinson tying to deny as it will be, Morris, working in around not getting the feedback here, gets down into the corner with Hernangomez over the top to joke it, and he will go easy up. And it had.
Port is there on his hip, but that is not much of a defensive presence.
Heard and go, Mr Goldman.
Grant Morris, now Plumlee in the game, along with Beasley.
The Denver Nuggets working around from Knox, who's checked into the game Portis.
And now the extra feed over to Smith Jr.
Too strong on the three pointer from downtown.
Still here for the Knicks as u C.
Denver working the lane kicking around the outside Hernangomez releases and is good Smith Jr late on that rotation, trying to close out there.
So has Doug Norrie, and I have highlighted you always curious about just cause he's getting out there late.
Was it his job to be out there in the first place, deep attempt there from three does not go as Monte Morris comes down with the rebound and now works it up into the front court here, we'll see.
As the Kevin Knocks tries to defend.
Plumlee works around the outside.
Open look from the perimeter.
Big collision there.
On the outside of things.
Robinson may have bumped bodies in with Portis and knocked into Grant. There.
We'll take a look on what? It was.
A made three point.
I believe I actually got caught up watching that.
Yes, so it Robinson tries to come over and help close out.
And these are some of the things you talk about, right? You talk about defensive assignments and rotations.
You Seaport is trying to get his hand up there on the clothes out.
Look like Robinson either.
Didn't know he was going to be there.
I didn't see him.
He tries to close out his well, ends up hip, checking his own player in to Grant, who cannot convert on that extra.
What could have been a four point play? But just like that right? Knicks were keeping a 12 point lead throughout this first quarter, and now you see them trailing by five here as a reach in foul called on Hernangomez, and we will see if it has to be signed out here.
They had that foul to give, uh, hurting Gomez.
Certainly there can.
The Knicks, along with the porters, Robinson Smith Jr.
Peyton and knocks get a look here with 32.
5 now trailing by five at the end of the first try to get themselves back in this game at the end of the first quarter.
Here, Robinson, on the perimeter, hands off the Smith Jr.
Now starts to rotate over, gets deported, gets the feedback, the travel call their shuffle.
The feed from Port is and we will go the other way.
And just like that, right? It feels like, you know, just a few possessions.
You all this sun and get yet the glimpse inside of why the Knicks are struggling, Not great communication.
Smith Junior League getting out if it was supposed to his responsibility on open three from hurting Gomez.
Then you see Grant on the three point attempt to defenders, converging the same point, hip, checking one another and then getting an opportunity for a four point play the line.
And then on the offensive end.
Ah, sloppy footwork, leading to an easy turnover and now down low joke.
It will be found under the basket.
He had a mismatch there with, I believe that was Peyton underneath, able to ah, certainly start himself against, Ah, joke.
It's there, although in the corner here called a foul here off the ball, actually, on Plumlee as well.
So he'll go to the line and shoot a couple with 4.
8 to go, looking to extend the lead.
Boy, that was an ugly looking free throw to look like You want to pull that one back, if he could.
Of misses on the first fill, a five point game will go ahead and wrap this one up here.
I'll just check in and see where I'm standing with some of my other news and notes, and I'll come back in here in the second quarter.
Game action take you as far as far through as I can.
And as I highlight it, if you are out there looking for some action in and around Ah, the New York Knicks specifically, you know I haven't I haven't gotten in touch with him yet, but obviously looking to connect with some of the guys here as the next sloppily moved the wall of dollars ball down the court there and cannot convert on any opportunities, and they will finish down five here at the end of the first.
They were leading most of the way through this quarter and instead all of the sudden in a blink of an eye, their now trailing 12 of 20 for the Denver Nuggets.
That's good for 60% from the field.
That's not great defense 6 to 10 from beyond the arc to go along with that, just two of six of the line.
So not converting on those opportunities limited themselves to two turnovers and had 10 assists on those Excuse me 10.
Made field goals on the other side of things to talk about.
The New York Knicks slipped a little bit there, now 11 24 just under 46% 45.
8 on Lee, converting on four of 11 from the free throw line and then one of two ways I wanted to finish line, converting for six from beyond the arc.
Only the one turnover and yet still find themselves trailing, so we'll step away here for a minute and come back down.
Some second quarter game action.
A little bit of the watch Portis missed from the corner on a three pointer, 39 2035 29 as Hernan Gomez can't connect on the corner.
Maybe wanted a foul call.
They're getting inside.
What we got do you think is better, Luca doctors or Kyrie? Irving.
I mean it right now.
It's kind of the Irving, you know, when it's fully healthy and on the court.
Certainly, obviously, you're seeing an elevation in Lucca this year.
Um, you know he's younger, and there's an opportunity for him certainly to continue to grow.
But, uh, you know, the combination that they have out that they have right now in Dallas is certainly something that you have to like.
If you're if you're if you're a fan, I don't know.
Well, you know, it's funny.
Doug and I were, I don't know, and I actually were talking about Luca.
I think on that last broadcast, when we're speaking about just players that you get results for you, we don't necessarily do it in the most graceful way.
Luca Dockets is certainly one of those guys.
I don't think it necessarily is the most graceful of players, yet somehow still manages to accomplish these things in and around the basket.
Certainly, and this year, you know I'll pull up his numbers real quick.
I've seen a handful of games of him over the course of this season.
Doug Nori, if you follow.
If you follow the podcast and you want even more insight as faras, it means it's based around Daily Fantasy.
But D F S R is Doug nor his day job has a partner in there as well with him as the Nuggets.
Connect from the perimeter there on a nice deep three and take the lead.
Thio, 41 34 here coming up on nine minutes to go.
Ah, let's pop in here because I'm most curious to see.
I know you've been having a heck of a season.
You go on to pose, Though Doug and I will be getting together over the weekend.
I wonder if you if you asked, you know who would you rather if you're starting your franchise now, who would you rather have? Luca or Kyrie? Irving you're gonna take everything into account there.
Certainly when you talk about ah, you know age and just where they are in their careers, that kind of thing.
That may be what you consider to be off the quarter on the court. Baggage.
Just take a look at what his numbers have said this season, but but But, uh, 41 34 is the next driving the lane kick outside Smith Jr on a Lie open. Three.
No, Where's near fight for the rebound goes the way of hernangomez up into the front court for Morris Morris, working now against Smith Junior.
On the other end, there's my boy Luca.
So on this season rate now 21 games, giving in just about 34 minutes.
Listen, you've seen an uptick in its field goal as three point percentage rate.
Where it has been.
He's taking his free throws to another level, taking up those rebound numbers.
The assist numbers have taken a big jump here, so you know, and obviously the point total has gone up on third.
Now he's seeing I have two moments of game action, not much there, but he's increased himself by nearly 4% on his field goal percentage is up to nearly 48 now.
So he's giving you 30 points a game kicking in nine assists.
I mean, he's borderline.
He's on the edge off rate in that area of being a below average, a triple double on the season.
So I mean, listen, I think that if you ask me, can carrier.
Could I Kyrie Irving do those things? Probably.
I'd be curious to know what we're talking about.
I want to know what kind of defense if VVe rebound numbers don tresses pulling down.
So he's giving you this year.
He's doing almost all of his work on that defense of glass.
So you probably benefiting from a guy like posing as being present on the floor as the Knicks do.
Get a 33 to go from the outside, pulling themselves within four here.
But listen, that's a That's an interesting one, man.
You know what? Oh, Justin ST Peter, man. Good to see you back in.
I didn't reckon I didn't catch your name there.
I'd be hard pressed on that man if you if you were asking me about it right now in this season.
I mean, listen, I'll take, I'll take doctors.
He's healthy, He's on the court, is playing and he's playing at a high level and certainly facilitating.
Ah, phenomenally for the rest of the team.
But I suppose that one to Doug Nori.
I saw that you followed up with us on Instagram and started getting onboard with the podcast.
So certainly all of touch base with him.
That would be a good one to bring to his attention.
Matter of fact, let me try.
This year we'll see as hitting from the outside and connecting and Dotson in some pain there over so I might have taken.
Really? Looks like you might have dislocated a finger.
They're trying to pop that back in place for him.
Oh, yeah, that pinky is out of whack.
Tried to do it right there on the floor off.
So Dotson will head back to the locker room.
You never want to see that As Plumlee had the fee.
Oh, he was going in for that steel and just caught his finger on the bull boy.
Is that brutal? Oh, that is a rough one, man.
Sorry if the 10 point game.
Now Nuggets 47 to 37.
I'll go ahead and shoot this text messages quickly over to Doug Nori and see if I get a response back from him.
And then I'll probably get dive out a dive out of this coverage here.
Um, so we'll see if that gets back in the information there.
Meanwhile, we'll go ahead and tie a little bit of bow of coverage on here before we get out the door.
And I transition over to the one giant podcast and gleam inside of the Thursday night NFL action between the Bears and the Cowboys.
Still shooting at a high percentage of those 57%.
17 of 30 from the field from Denver Nuggets, now 10 of 16 from beyond the arc, where they're doing some damage already.
Seven minutes to go here in the second quarter and you're talking about a team that put up 16 3 point attempts that could be well on their way to over 40 16 attempts for the next as well.
But they're only connecting on six of those that's gonna hurt them than 14 for 32 from the field.
Also not getting to the line of time, though in seven attempts.
Denver Nuggets Just checking on three of those, anyway, Nuggets turn the ball over two times early and then cleaned that up and then moving to the second here.
Four turnovers for the Knicks now.
So starting to see some of that sloppiness play out, and in spite of a couple of good looks from deep having Morris connect on two of them, you also have nil.
Akina knock one down there to go along with Kevin Knocks and Dotson.
So a couple of guys trying to step up step up there but ove to went Dennis Smith Jr.
Quite frankly, I'll look inside of his stat lines here, but I don't entirely know.
I feel like this is gonna tell me what I want to know.
Yeah, he's a career 32% fee.
Ah, three point shooter, so I just don't you know it's not God awful, but that's probably one of the last guys you need on your roster.
Taking three point shots Now, I know that when you look through the next line up, you don't have a ton of three point shooters in the traditional sense certainly.
But nevertheless, you know, a guy like him pulling up on two years, getting wide open looks is a reason why he's getting wide open looks.
But there's no reason for him to be taking those shots.
You want to distribute those three pointers at ransom.
Other players, Certainly a guy like Morris you can spot up from the corner for you, get some more volume into his hands and give yourself an opportunity.
Get some buckets because those 1st 2 that he took looked like a guy who does not shoot a high percentage as they go into the corner.
Randall tries to get over looking it up or over to Gibson there and gets fouled.
Going up to the basket.
A 10 point game here.
Like we said, you come out of that first quarter.
You felt like you had done a lot of positive things.
Yet you still found yourself struggling and ultimately falling behind 33 to 27 there six point game, and then go ahead and tack on the 14 10 early return here in the second quarter's Randall tries to connect on his first free throw, rattles off, continuing the trend of not converting when you have the chance.
Now that'll cut them down to three for six from the line.
You see, Randall Ah, with those free throw attempts, right, he has knocked down 77 a half percent of his looks.
So he's done a nice job for this team as he connects on the second and pulls the next within six points here.
As us as I apologize.
Come tracking some stats.
Here is well, and these numbers are ah, off on my end.
Now that corrected it here as I have some bonus inside stat lines here.
And they had it at 47.
37 for some strange reason, turning it the other way here is Randall works up the front court, drops it off.
Pull up, Pop. No.
Where's near? Was that attempt either on? Ah, for the next. From the outside.
That being Ah, we take a look here.
You had plumbing on the last offensive rebound for them watching on.
Check in on who had that shot there? I believe it was going to be mill Akina missing from the outside there, driving in the basket and getting it to go for the never Nuggets foul will be called on the floor.
So will not be the bucket will not count ago.
Side out here with a six point lead in six minutes to go here in the second top gets and cold on that personal foul.
Hernangomez, working on the outside, goes down low, finds his man working against Randall fade away.
Pop rattles on in there, bucket good from the outside.
Therefore, enough outside from the interior shot there from Grant, taking on Randall outsize and out way, but still got it to go. Now R.
Barrett, working on the perimeter, uses the Randall screen, Had an opportunity to pull up a little bit open. Look there.
Tries to fire over to Kevin, knocks the touch from hurting Gomez that ultimately goes off Knox, and it will go back in the direction of the New York next at the 8 21 mark in the evening PM and 46 to 38 lead here for the Denver Nuggets.
We will step away in our coverage.
Ah, and last question.
When's your next podcast episode? Justin ST.
Well, we had the one that came out today, so you can check that one out if you want to.
And then with the Nets playing on Friday night will probably wait until after the Sunday game, so you can expect the next one to be almost like the record Sunday night or Monday morning.
And then you can catch us by Monday, mid morning or afternoon.
We'll have that next episode up.
Taking a look at the last two matchups for the Brooklyn Nets, which will be, Ah, the team that we're watching currently tonight be the 2nd 1 of that Denver Nuggets and then before that will be on the road there with the Charlotte Hornets.
So definitely check out with his men.
Great to see you back in on a broadcast and we will start to flip over our coverage here.
So thank you for checking in with us. We do a little bit at scouting.
The takeaways are obviously perimeter shooting for the day, and their nuggets is going to be a problem.
I don't think you have to be necessarily overly concerned from a size matchup standpoint.
Plumlee is going to be able to impact this team if you're Brooklyn Nets fan.
We saw that in the first match up.
Then you get down on the interior is going to be dependent on the likes of Jared Allen and DeAndre Jordan when he comes in to be able to stand his ground.
And then the big look at this for any team, really.
But we don't necessarily have multiple bigs that could defend it on the perimeter.
I like what Jared Allen can do for you on the outside.
However, you cannot guarantee that DeAndre Jordan is gonna have that ability and order.
You can guarantee that he won't and therefore you start to think about the perimeter shooting of joke.
It's being a key concern for the Nets as they come into this matchup.
You watch Julius Randle gets swallowed up there on some great gang defense.
The lead goes out, and it will be Morris on the put through there as they get it now to a 12 point lead in the time out for the Knicks on the floor.
Pretty much things going the way you would expect from the New York Knicks standpoint.
So there's obviously some things to look in here.
I will mostly come back on, as I said from just from appearing that standpoint touch in tomorrow and probably in the morning.
Take a look at the matchup that's going to be coming up for the Nets against the Charlotte Hornets tomorrow night, and I will look back at this game just to maybe gleam ahead against the Nuggets again, if not tomorrow.
We'll take a look at that on our Saturday broadcast, going ahead to that Sunday match up with the said Denver Nuggets and and to give you so to give you look right, I was hedging my bets.
There you're talking about what would you rather have? You want to know what the inside man is.
And like I said, I'm the kind of person that probably needs to step away and examine some of that stuff before I make it.
Once I looked at those stat lines, I was saying, talking about a guy who could be a triple double machine for you on is taking his game to the next level.
Doug Nori's response and as you were on with those yesterday and we were certainly challenging some of your thoughts around our conversation, but quote, Oh, man Luca, and it's not even close.
So, you know, there you go.
It Listen, he is the authority in terms of the overall MBA.
I'm always gonna go pretty specific inside of the Brooklyn Nets.
I'm starting to expand my knowledge around it, being familiar with Luca dodges and his game doesn't necessarily put me in a position to feel like I could give you.
You know, the authoritative statement.
But as soon as Doug Nori checks in and gives you that kind of line, you know they could probably take that one to the bank and looking at this season stat lines and where he's moved his career numbers.
Now you're talking about a 33 assist improvement on his game you're talking about improving is three point shooting from the outside.
You're talking about improving his rebounds by two or three per game as well, a near triple double average.
So there you go, man.
If I had had, I wish I just pull it and walked away and read some of these stat lines.
But it's okay because it's not about knowing.
Everything is being willing to learn, my friend.
So we will step away here for We got Nets.
