What's up? Michael Belco here checking in with you guys for your Saints Midweek report.
Not really too much news from the Saints this week.
You know, one of the hop on here on SportsCastr give you guys a few thoughts, give you guys kind of an outlook on the rest of the season.
All that good stuff.
Once again, let me pull up.
Well, something here.
Um, So the Saints came in at number four on the power rankings that was released today behind the 40 Niners, the Patriots and the Ravens.
I think Raymond's were one.
Niners were two patriots for three, and then we were four.
So they're still sleeping on us.
What? You know, it's whatever, um, pretty much used to it by now, So it's all good to go.
Um, hey, where's this hour? There it is.
Uh, ST remaining schedule for you guys.
Obviously we play the 40 Niners this week at 1 p.m.
probably gonna be game in the week.
Hopefully gets flex up the Sunday night football Ox.
I have work early that day.
Oh, my have to miss it.
Hopefully not, though, Um, and then that we played the Colts the following week and then we go to Tennessee.
That's gonna be a tough road game.
And then we finished the year at Carolina.
Um, so as you guys know, these things have already clinched the NFC South.
So that's, you know, we already have playoffs locked up.
We're kind of just fighting for that number one seed.
Try to get home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Um, but it's gonna be a tough road ahead.
You know, There's 3 10 and two teams right now us, the San Francisco 40 Niners and the Seattle Seahawks.
We already have a game over the Seahawks with one with earlier this season.
Um, so we have that going for us, but a bit.
We need a big win against San Francisco this week.
So we got to really bring the energy in the dome Sunday.
Um, the Saints did bring in a veteran linebacker, Manti Te'o.
He was on the Saints for a couple years back in 2016 17.
I think he even played with us in 2015 a little bit.
It was with us for two years and then we released him, and he's been a free agent ever since.
And we brought him in.
Which kind of shows that we're still dealing with injuries like a J.
Klein, Kiko Alonso a little bit.
So he could be starting this week, depending on the injury status of those linebackers.
You know that's not very good for us.
It's not good to have um, to starting linebackers injured.
But we do have Craig Robertson, and we also have obviously Manti Te'o.
We've played well and DeMario Davis, who's one of the best linebackers in the NFL this year, so I'm not too stressed out about it.
But like we're going against the San Francisco 49 er so hopefully they're good to play, at least, and then we could limit their snaps because, I mean, we just need bodies out there, man.
That's what we need.
Um, and I mean, whenever I was watching the game on Monday, I mean the night or Sunday.
Sorry, the Niners were looking good.
Like, you know, I mean, Sherman got banged up in that game, but he played the rest of the game, so I was kind of hoping Sherman would be help for this week, but he's not.
So, you know, we got to bring that a game for sure.
And today is Saints kick returner punt returner Deante Harris his birthday.
So happy birthday to Deante Harris.
I've had the pleasure of chatting with him quite a few times through instagram G m's what not? And he's always a super cool guy.
Um, you know, I I started hitting him up a soon as we signed him from Assumption College.
And, you know, we did a little Q and A together.
All that good stuff.
So happy birthday to you, bro.
Keep doing. You keep grinding out there.
Um, keep up the good work, bro.
Um, so, yeah, you know, not really too much news about the Saints this week.
Um, but depending on, like who we have playing this week, I don't know if we're gonna win.
Man, I'm being honest with you.
The Niners hung in there with a very good Ravens team.
Like the way I kind of see a right now is Ravens are going to be in the Super Bowl in the A F C side and the Saints for the NFC side.
And like I'm a big like Ravens supporter, you know, like I support the Ravens out there like Lamar Jackson's been on my fantasy team all year.
Have been killing it.
So, you know, and then they also have Mark Ingram, who's a former Saints.
So, like I gotta cheer for him a little bit.
I just like the way they built their team, you know, they signed some good free agents.
Earl Thomas is a beast out there for them.
So I kind of see Baltimore being in the Super Bowl in the A F C side of it, just cause I kind of just get that vibe that, like no one stopping them in the A F.
C um, Patriots are obviously gonna be up there, but just do their research struggles.
You know, Tom Brady's been struggling all year.
They don't have anybody out there really receiving the ball for him.
Uh, everyone's injured for them, so it looks like it's gonna be the Ravens for the A F.
Nobody else, Really. Even that competitive the NFC.
I mean, we're loaded.
We're loaded with good teams like we have us at the number one seed currently number two sieges, the Seattle Seahawks.
And then there's the 40 Niners, who also have a 10 into record.
There are six seats simply because the Seahawks are also 10 into and the Seahawks have a game on them.
Um, and then the Vikings were right up there as well.
They only have three losses are four losses, I think, and the Packers only have three losses.
And then the only reason that Cowboys are even gonna be in the playoffs is because of their weak division.
But, like still, the Cowboys are a very good team.
Like we beat them earlier this year, but barely, you know what I'm saying? Like that can always air a very scary team back.
Prescott, Zeke Elliott, Amari Cooper.
Like those guys can pull out there, so we really gotta just NFC playoffs.
We're gonna be exciting this year, man.
Um, and then I don't even know who's gonna squeak into that.
I mean, I think I just listed all the playoff teams didn't I don't remember, Like I don't know.
The FC doesn't even seem that strong is pretty much down to like two teams we already know.
The NFC Championship game's gonna entail and it's gonna be the Patriots and the Ravens.
Most likely, um, it is currently being outside. That's not good.
Um, but yeah, you know, our schedule is not very good the rest of the season.
Like we have four pretty tough games besides the Panthers, I wouldn't say the Panthers are a tough game, but you'd never know howto team is going to react to a new coach.
And we don't really have any thing you prepare off of us.
Far as a new coach goes.
And we could easily be resting guys against them like we did last year, Week 16 and end up losing.
Um, so obviously, that's not ideal.
Um, and then obviously we're going against the fight.
A very good 40 Niners team of feisty Indianapolis Colts team in a very feisty Tennessee Titans team.
I mean, Italians and colts are still battling for a playoff spot, so they're gonna be extra motivated, you know what I mean? So I mean, it's gonna be a tough into the season for us, so we're gonna have to keep bringing our A game.
Obviously, guys to watch out for Mike Thomas he's still on pace toe set, the single season receiving record, a SZ faras reception to go, maybe even yards.
I'm not sure on yardage, but I know he's up there.
He's still leaving the league and receiving, so hopefully he can.
Hopefully we play on the rest of the way through and don't mention, you know, set him give him rest because, I mean, he's fine.
He's never had injury problems in the past and let him go after that record.
You know, I'm saying, um Camara.
We need to start using a little bit more effectively.
I think we need to start getting back to that.
Like where he catches on the wheel route thing.
He's really has been kind of ineffective all year yet he did battle that injury a little bit, but for the most part he's been like ineffective.
I think I don't think he's had 100 yard rushing game yet this year.
He's only had, like, maybe one or 200 plus scrimmage.
Our game was like, I mean, people kind of found the code on Alvin Kamara this year and it's not very good.
Um, maybe we're just saving his best stuff for later in the playoffs.
I don't know what we're doing, exactly what the Alvin Kamara situation.
But we've been fine with Octavius Mary, just like at the beginning of the year, I said we would be everyone's like Well, why don't we just re signed marking grown man? Because we can get a guy like that.
TV is married for much cheaper.
Don't get me wrong.
I am not a Mark Ingram hater by any means.
I very much love Mark Ingram.
I wish he was still a saint because he was a saint his whole career.
But you know, that's not the way the business work, you know, I'm saying it would be nice to still have marking group, but not really anymore.
What? Davies Mary proved himself very worthy, you know, he signed a four year deal with us and he's lived up to all the hype so far.
I mean, shoot replacing a guy like Kamara and actually kind of overshadowing him this year.
I think you could argue that this year the TV is Murray is our best running back, Alvin Kamara.
It's not which is crazy to say just due to this early success, Alvin Kamara has had.
But everybody forgets that the TV is Murray was a 2000 yard rusher like and he's a Pro Bowler like dudes, a freakin beast, you know, like he can run the rock man.
And people always tend to forget that.
It's like they're always surprised when Octavius Mary goes off and scores two touchdowns in a game was like, Why you have surprised like it's been here, Done that before.
Like he's been in the league for a while.
I think it is eight year 60 or something like that.
Even bawling for a while.
Guys like so this ain't nothing new to him.
It's kind of nice, you know, kind of have that, like young running back, kind of like what we had with, like Boom and Zoom last year with Tamara and Ingram.
You know, we had like a younger running back in Camara, who's electric can just break everybody's ankles.
And then we also have the older veteran pounded out running back.
And then, you know, I mean, that's all we need.
You know what I mean? It's like he's there to mentor Kamara, and then if tomorrow is not doing too hot or if they're figuring out tomorrow that we just rough him up with the TV is Mary, and that's been working so far this year.
Jared Cooks also had a late season emergence, which is great for him.
Also great for the Saints.
Obviously, he's as a whole extra weapon on the offensive side of the ball that we really were kind of missing.
Um is I mean, we've had tight and issues since we since we traded away Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks awhile back.
But Jared cooks finally started to live up to that tight end hype a little bit.
And he could, honestly, I mean, Benjamin Watson at a couple of good years, but I think he could be our best tight ends.
And Jimmy Graham.
He's had a pretty good season.
People keep overlooking his early season struggles, but he's been bawling out recently.
So there is that, um, but yeah, you know, he's just eaten and just got to keep grinding out.
You know what I'm saying? Um oh, yeah.
We just got to keep bowling.
Um, yeah, there's really others to it.
Keep on ground and keep beaten.
What was going on outside.
It's No. One, man.
I don't like snow.
Um, you are next.
Two games are in the dome, so we have the Niners in the dome and then we have, I think, the Colts in the dome.
And then we go to Tennessee and then we end the year in Carolina.
Hopefully, we shouldn't have to worry about too much whether Tennessee could be a little chilly and so could Carolina.
But hopefully it's not too bad, you know what I mean? Because those are obviously too big games on the road that we're ending the season on the road.
So hopefully those will be our last two road games of the year until we have to travel in Miami.
Which is where the Super Bowl is.
You know, he's got to keep on working.
Um, hopefully, you know, I'll keep you guys updated.
I'll probably do my pregame report Saturday.
Uh, probably just release it a day early for you guys.
Um maybe I'm not sure it really would be Saturday or Sunday.
I released the pregame report for you.
Um, but thank you.
Racket girl for the tip.
Um, be hopefully the linebacking.
Such linebacker course situation isn't too bad, but I am very happy with the Manti Te'o signing.
He's a very good linebacker.
He already knows our defensive system.
He knows Dennis Allen already, so he should fit like a glue right back where he left off.
Basically, um, so it's always good to have that in your system, like guys who already know what they're doing this and that.
So you know, he's got to keep bawling out, doing her thing.
All that good stuff.
Um, yeah, hopefully, I mean, he's temporary, but hopefully he actually plays well enough to just stay on.
Our roster is extra depth and keep them because I've always been a big Manti Te'o Finn.
Even when he was in college, I was a huge Manti Te'o fan.
I really wanted to win the Heisman that year, so I've been a lifelong fan of anti Thio.
So hopefully he just continues to eat ball out and then make some plays on Sunday for us because we need him to.
He should be fresh and healthy eating good to go.
So I'm excited about it. I really am.
Um, yeah, we're getting close to game day, man.
Getting close. It's Wednesday.
Keep grinding through your weeks, guys.
Um, you know, we have a Thursday night game tomorrow, which is the Cowboys and the Bears, so that should be a decent game as well.
Um, your cowboys are fighting for that playoffs, but try to keep in it, but I think they pretty much got in the bag.
It's just a crappy division.
That's really all it is, but yeah.
Anyways, I just wantto tell you guys how much I appreciate you as I do at the end of every stream.
I really appreciate everything you guys do for me.
All your love, All your support means a lot.

Um, but yeah, Just you guys keep running at your work.

A lot of playoff situations on the line.
