So I'm I just got off live about five minutes ago.
That was Ah, I was talking about Seattle.
Worse was Minnesota.
Tonight would be a good one.
Unique football you want? Stop by.
But right now, I just wanted to do a quick, you know, 5 10 minute recap of the Lakers versus Mavericks and be a game.
If you guys didn't catch your last night, it was Ah, very, very good game.
Uh, if you didn't catch it Ah, yeah, the first.
Pretty much, Yeah, The Mavericks struggled a lot in the first half.
That's what you gotta know.
Luca was not playing good.
He had, like, 67 points.
Ah, and that's not did on his standards.
But some starters don't even have a job.
But for him, he's got like, seven points, four rebounds, four assists.
He wasn't his usual self, and honestly, the Mavericks were getting carried mainly by the bench.
Juckes Justin Jackson came off the bench, got nine points straightaway, then got another like six.
So that was a big, big push for Dallas to get on track.
And now that was the first half.
Really, It really wasn't the best.
First half of the Mavericks at O ah, close the half time.
They did pick it up a little bit, made it about a 10 point game, but, uh, a second half.
However, Mavericks hit back hard.
Luca dropped 16 in the third quarter.
The third quarter the Mavericks went on a 18.
20 run in a span of four minutes.
It was great for Mavericks fans to see.
And actually, in the first in the third quarter, the Lakers had more technical fouls than field goals made, which is just crazy When you think about it.
They had, Ah, one field goal made and they had two technical fouls.
It was not a good quarter for them.
The Maoris outscored them by about 15 took back the lead.
Great quarter for Luca.
He dropped 16 that quarter.
Ah, yeah, Justin Jackson again came off the bench.
He is a great three ball shooter.
I he's a very underrated bench player.
Honestly, I I love him.
He's a great three ball shooter.
Great for assists.
You know, Chris, Stop didn't have a bad game yesterday at all, especially in the third quarter.
Ah, he was getting those boards which, honestly, in my opinion, was one of the big things with the game.
They the maverick has gone more rebounds in them and, as you know, rebounds turn into points.
So third quarter mouths got 35 Luca getting 16 of which, and the Lakers only got 17 that quarter, which isn't terrible, but they almost got outscored double by the knives.
And keep in mind that third quarter for most of it A.
D and LeBron were on the court.
So being able to do that against ADM.
LeBron is very good.
You know, that stuff you like to see? Uh, fourth quarter, Pretty much the same type of deal.
The Lakers outscored them by one point that game.
So, you know, it was kind of just about the Mavs maintaining their lead, not blowing anything, and they did just that.
They maintain their lead.
Luca got it pretty big Fourth quarters? Well, with about 10 points, Yeah, again, the big thing this game Dallas Mavericks bench was just phenomenal, like way better than the lakersbench Dallas Mavericks bench Got about 60 points crazy coming off that a big reason for that, I think, is, uh, what's his name? Tim Hardaway Jr.
I believe it was rather him or someone else, but they got, like, three fouls in the first quarter, and he got taken off.
So the bench pretty much went in at the fourth quarter.
So that's obviously a big part of it.
But also just, you know, just the rebounds.
The moms out read the eke out read.
They outrebounded them.
Offensive rebounds, 16 to 9.
And nose were really like those air rebounds.
Or one of the most important part is you get the rebound, you're gonna go get some points, obviously, and, ah, the blinker just couldn't do that.
You know the Mavericks, they have some height on them.
Obviously, they got Bo, Ben and Chris stop.
But the big one, especially the season Luca don ****.
Nine rebounds, just kill her.
He's averaging about 10 a game, almost at that triple double mark because a sister up there and Dwight Powell nine rebounds as well, Big center coming on.
He was on there for about 30 minutes, but he did some damage, especially on the rebounds.
Yeah, one person I'm not really excited about on the mouths is Seth Curry.
Just because he hasn't been ableto perform how he should be, you know, he's really not.
He's a good shooter, but he hasn't even been shooting that well recently.
Like 16 minutes on the court, the guy got 13 out of like six it started out of out of five are at their own, But it's just he's not performing where he should be, and I feel like it's letting the team down a little bit.
And I'm glad that they pulled him from the starting position.
He originally had the starting position.
They put Tim Hardaway Jr over him driving his is great Tim Hardaway.
Phenomenal player right there.
You know, he he has been coming off of.
He's averaged, like, 22 points in the last couple weeks.
Easiest, phenomenal, has had a big breakout, you know.
Last year he averaged 11 points.
Now he's averaging, like 17.
It's what you like to see Chris stop also averaging about that 17 18 mark.
I don't know how I feel about him because he's obviously a great player wanting to stay all that.
But he when you're a big guy like that, you should be using your strength, your size, to be driving up the rim.
And he just hasn't been doing that at all at all.
And on one hand, I understand because he's coming off big injury and he'll kind of ease into it.
I hope that that's just my hope, because when you see a big guy like that shooting threes instead of driving in the paint, you know it makes you think a little.
So I hope he starts doing that, using his size a little more because he's definitely able to, you know, he's Ah, you know, he's in his second tallest person in the Lean.
I think it goes bobbing than him, and Taco Fall would be the tallest.
But he's technically not in the NBA's in the D League right now, but ah yeah, field goal.
Percentage wise, the Lakers shot better than them, but still percentage.
Ah was better, but they got less three point percent, so the Lakers shot 22% from three, which is just compared to the 35% by the matters.
It's not gonna cut it.
Other than that blocks steals.
Yeah, Lakers were ahead in blocks, Whatever.
Steals mobs a little bit.
The turnovers, however, the Lakers with the turnovers.
Oh, my, they gave up what they gave the ball away too many times compared to the mountains just too many times.
And that's really the big difference maker.
This is just my opinion.
I'm a Mavs fan, honestly, but I I I still think the Lakers are a better team.
I'm obviously happy the Mouse pulled it off, but I think the Lakers have had a great season and the, you know, obviously title contenders.
But the thing is, if you ever if you watch the Mavs game Mavs Lakers game from a probably solid month ago, maybe a little more, uh, if you remember.
So what was happening was Mauser up by three, and, uh, Danny Green hit a buzzer beating three, and Danny Green was wide open, no defender on him, and the reason for that was because Seth Curry was defending him.
And, you know, there's a lot of ball movement.
He switched around and before Danny Greene got the ball.
He was moving back towards him to cover him because he knew he was getting the ball for the shot and Dwight Howard full on, put his hands around Seth Curry and pretty much pulled him back, give him a big hug and held him back.
And because of that stuff can get there in time.
Danny Green hits the three, went into overtime, went toe, win it, and I think that they should have won that game by any means.
Like obviously, Seth Curry, he would have been covering him, would have been all in his face.
Danny Greene would have missed the shot and Mavs would have won.
Now, obviously, anything could have still hit the shot, whatever all that stuff.
But the fact remains that Dwight Howard had a big foul on him, really, Just not a good play.
It all rush really should have caught that.
And ah, I think this game was just a good reminder that the Mavs are capable team and this should have been the second time they beat them.
And yeah, I mean, this just kind of pay back for that, showing everyone in the West that yeah, they can compete, too, and ah, yeah, I still think the Lakers are great love.
LeBron eighties. Nice.
I actually really like Javale McGee.
I know he's not a big name, big player, but I think he's a good role player.
Would love to have him on the Mavs.
Honestly, Uh, yeah.
So overall, full recap of that game.
Mavs just won the second half.
That's all there was to it.
That's all it was.
Third quarter, especially overall stats.
Leading the Mavericks in points.
Luca Don tricks with 27 leading in rebounds.
Luca and Dwight Powell, both with nine and leading any, says Luca, daunted with 10 assists, he ended the game with nearly a triple double on the Lakers side of things leading in points A d with 27.
Leading in assist is gonna be LeBron James with eight, and leading in rebounds is gonna be Anthony Davis again.
Close to that triple double as well.
25 8 and nine just couldn't pull it out, though.
Other notable things.
Pretty good, huh? Justin Jackson, 17 points off of the bench, only playing 15 minutes.
Great efficiency, right there.
That pushes the Mavericks to 13 and six.
Lakers 17 and three.
Ah, very Lakers enough.
First in the Western Conference and marriage are now fourth.
Max, you're gonna be going up against the pelicans tomorrow.
I'm gonna be streaming up, and the Lakers will be going up against the Nuggets tomorrow.
