What's popping this? Your boy? And I know I kind of sprung this on you tonight well, today.
But we're gonna get breaking down his game in Nick's first.
The Milwaukee Bucks.
It's not gonna be easy.
So what's popping Nick's family? How you feeling? The Knicks play the Bucks tonight at 8 p.m.
And I probably just repeated myself.
The reason why is because I started recording a new video.
Well, I had to repeat myself.
Sometimes you get that when you watch it, something live.
But, man, let me tell you.
Last night we watched the Knicks bill denied point lead first the Boston Celtics and then blow it.
Not like the nine point lead is like they're blowing a team out, but we've seen this time and time again.
Unfortunately, though, for the Knicks, it's going to be a little bit tougher to build that kind of lead against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Let's start breaking down this game and we'll get to a couple of phone calls.
Maybe we'll get some guys in the video check.
This show is gonna be fairly short.
It's gonna be fairly short ladies and gentle because I got to get on the road tonight.
I got some things to do to prepare so I could get on the road.
We're gonna get this thing popping off tonight. 8 p.m.
The Knicks will be in Milwaukee at the Fizer form in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and you see the Knicks, therefore 16 there at that 20 game mark, the 2nd 10 game set of 10 games.
We have not heard from Scott Perry or Steve Mills.
You know why? Because it was such a media blowout.
They made a better choice this time, a better choice if they addressed coach fishtail.
That's one thing.
If they dressed the team, that's another thing.
They're not gonna come out after 10 games again and addressed the media.
They seeing the Fire storm.
They don't want that again.
Tonight, for the next starting point guard is Dennis Smith Jr.
In his first start at point guard of this season, R J barrettes at shooting guard.
Kevin knocks at small forward Julius Randle at power forward, entire DS Gibson at center.
And during the course of this show, if there's any changes, I make sure I update you with any changes that may take place during the course of the show.
Just in case, you know, some new starting lineups arise or whatever is the case.
Hey, now for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Excuse me, Eric Bledsoe.
He starting that point guard? Don't say DiVincenzo.
It's been starting at shooting guard.
Even know Chris Middleton is back.
I'm pretty sure the Bucks have given Chris Middleton a chance to get his legs back on doing.
And, you know, you know all that stuff.
Get himself back ready.
You'll probably be starting before long.
But right now, Dante DiVincenzo is starting for the Milwaukee Bucks, and I like that kid.
I like that kid in the draft.
I really did. I like them in the draft.
Wesley Matthews to start that small forward, and then the honest instant coupon.
I didn't put his full last name in there because it's so long they start in that power forward.
In that center is Robin Lopez.
Yeah, injury updates for both team.
Frank Miller Kane is out with upper back soreness or whatever it is.
Marcus Morris with the neck Elfrid Payton right hamstring.
Reggie Bullock neck also for the next just to give you a quick update.
As per the Knicks PR.
As I just said, Frank Miller, Keen Eyes just so upper back, is questionable for tonight's game.
I would say that he's probably not gonna play the deep Allen.
He is with the team, and Marcus Morris is out tonight.
He didn't even travel with the team, so we'll be watching to see how long Marcus Morris will be out for the Knicks.
For the Milwaukee Bucks.
He's a game time decision with the back stolen Brown.
He's out with a shoulder and the NASA since at the coop.
Oh, he had an illness the last game.
He's a game time decision tonight.
First the Knicks.
But we'll be watching to see what happens with Marcus Morris.
But tonight I'm expecting them to Smith Junior R J Barry.
Kevin knocks Julius Randle Taj Gibson to start for the Knicks, and it's very interesting to watch out his point guard situation plays out.
If, frankly, Latina row will we claim his starting spot once he comes back.
This is Dennis Smith Junior's chance to show that he could be back in the form, but can he do it defensively a lot of questions there, but the question still will be watching to see what happens tonight.
Took a team comparison.
The Knicks of 4 16 on a six game losing streak.
There 17 and three.
The number one team in the Eastern Conference down on an 11 game win streak right now.
Hey, look, that's without having Chris Middleton play.
Ah, a bunch of those games.
This team is the ferocious man.
They're ferocious being there, ladies and gentlemen, is there ferocious? The next day average 101.
6 points per game.
Yeah, they give up 109.
4 points per game.
It shouldn't have 42.
8% from the field, 37% from three, which is not bad.
We talk about spreading the floor.
They're not bad.
8 rebounds per game.
The average 20 assists per game in a 15.
4 turnovers begin offensive waiting is 103.3.
That's 28th in the league defense.
If waiting is 1 11.
1 as 22nd in the league.
As I said on 11 game winning streak, they average 120.
3 points per game.
They gave up 109.
4 points per game.
The Knicks don't even score 109 points per game.
They only scored one on one.
They shoot 48% from the field, 34.
They grabbed 51.
4 rebounds per game average, 25.
4 assists per game, a 14.
8 turnovers beginning turnovers per game.
The offensive rating is 1 13 That's third in the league, and their defense of raining is one of 2.
7 that is also third in the league.
Scared of this team, ladies and gentlemen, I'm not gonna lie.
I am not going to lie. I am afraid.
I don't know what's gonna happen tonight.
Versed in Milwaukee Bucks.
The key matchup for the night.
Here you have it.
Be honest. Antenna, Coop.
Oh, but it's Julius Randle.
Ah, you know, a lot of Nick's friends are going to say that's laughable.
But you know this is this.
Is this the best we have right now? Ladies and gentlemen, the best we have ya, Nancy 6 11 to 42 averages 30.
9 points per game, 13.
4 rebounds per game, 5.
9 assists per game and 1.
5 steals per game.
He also averages 1.
4 blocks per game.
He shoots 56% from the field, UH, 28.
He's actually shooting more threes this year, right trying to a ***** develop his three points.
Julie's randomly 68 to 50 the average of 72 17.
2 points per game.
9 rebounds per game.
6 assists per game is 0.
8 steals per game, just under one still per game.
He shoots 45% from the field, and that's up from what he was doing earlier in the season.
And he shoots 25.
That's up from what he was doing earlier this season.
Gonna be a tough matchup.
I don't know exactly who's gonna guard who.
There's no Mark.
Is Morris playing? So you can't put Marcus Moore song Intense Coop? Oh, it definitely can't put Kevin Knots on intensive coop.
Oh, looks like Julius Randle was the guy.
A lot of people complain about Julius Randle's defense.
Well, he's the guy that's got any garden.
It's in the coop.
Oh, tonight we'll see how that works out.
We'll see how that works out.
Do this right is gonna be He's gonna have to be on this game, and the Knicks are gonna have to be ready to play some team basketball tonight.
Help out as much as possible.
No questions about it.
Some keys to the game.
Ladies and gentlemen, honestly, all of my keys do not pertain to what the Knicks should do to counter right.
Anything that Milwaukee is doing, it's all about the Knicks.
That's where I met right now.
All of these keys air about the Knicks getting better.
The 1st 1 play a full 48 minutes.
We have seen it time and time again with Nick's build a lead, and they cannot maintain that lead because they could not play a consistent game for full 48 minutes.
We haven't seen a play consistent game for 48 minutes.
I don't think maybe one, maybe one, maybe, but there's certain basketball principles that they've just got to stick to for 48 minutes.
It really gotta focus on it and try to stick to it, one of whom is moving the basketball and staying away from isolation.
That's one of them.
But whatever reason, when other teams pick up their defense is start to put the pressure on the Knicks.
They fall right back while I know the reason, but they fall right back down in isolation, and the reason is because those are their habits and they're trying to break those habits.
I think they're trying to break those habits.
I hope they're trying to break those habits, but when the pressure is on, you fall back to your comfort zone.
That's what happens to the Knicks every game.
The Knicks, they've gotta play team defense.
We seen last night when Jalen Brown got isolated on Dennis Smith Jr twice in a row and no help came Jet Dennis Smith.
You're just not gonna guard Jalen Brown.
Sorry, not gonna stop him from going to the basket. Sorry.
Gotta have that team defense.
You gotta have team defense.
But you also got to trust the guy's gonna stay in front of that man and they don't you gotta help.
It's a dichotomy that the Knicks have gotta learn to play through.
No selfish play what I'm talking about.
So we come down the stretch, you start playing that selfish Isobel.
We see Dennis Jr on one play last night, hold the ball for about 15 seconds in the long summer.
He made the three, but it doesn't make the play good.
Just because you have success on a bad play does not make that play good man effect.
I hate sometimes when we have, and when I say we I'm speaking about the Knicks, and I'm also speaking about the teams that I coach.
I hate when we have success on a bad place because it makes it seem like that place.
Okay, and it's not when you have success on a bad play, it compounds the bad play, and it's up to the coach to say, I don't care that you made it.
That was the wrong play, man.
In fact, I had a player one time and every single game.
His first shot was a three then, man, if he had a lane to the basket, didn't matter.
He'd pull up from 300 fast break, but I told him he was starter.
I said, Listen, next time we step on the floor.
If your first shot is that three, you're coming out the next game we stepped on the floor and he pulled the three and made it.
I immediately subbed, um, he didn't play till about three minutes left in the half because I needed to one send a message that I was serious and two teach the proper way to play the game because he could have went to the basket on that play and maybe still got three points anyway.
So I'm saying no selfish place tonight.
Ladies and gentlemen, I gotta take care of the basketball.
We don't want to let these guys get out running on us.
You got some athletes over there.
Obviously, they know how to play basketball.
You're one of the best scoring teams in the league, the average 120 points per game.
We don't want these guys getting out and running on us.
We let them get out and run on us.
We're really in trouble.
Might be a 50 point game.
If we do that, play with Pace and I'm a little bit afraid to say play with pace against this team.
But again, this is about the Knicks, not about the Milwaukee Bucks.
So we got to get this team learned how to play with pace, go play a little bit faster, getting up the floor a little bit faster and when you are in the half court set, moving the ball a little bit faster.
The reason why I say I'm afraid to say Play with pace against the Milwaukee Bucks because when you play with more pace, there's a higher chance that you're gonna turn the ball over.
It is a high chance you're gonna turn the ball over.
There's a higher chance that these guys are gonna run.
Capitalize off of those turnovers.
But again, we're focusing on what the next need to do to get better as a team, not just getting the win here, because you're probably not going to if they surprise us, good.
But you're probably not going to focusing on what the Knicks are doing then, of course, make free throws.
We've been a horrible free throw shooting team up into this point in the season.
We need to change it, but we gotta make free throws.
Ladies in general knock down on free throws when we had them free.
There's no defense there.
All it takes is focus, practice and focus, practice and focus.
Those are my key to the game.
Keys to the game.
I want to know what you think.
What? Do your keys to the game? I got a few minutes.
Like I said, there's gonna be a short show.
But I do have a few minutes where you can get your calls in.
Ah, check and see if I got some people in the video chat, see if they want to get in.
I know this is, you know, kind of a short notice, Uh, show.
I'm glad for those who were here.
I appreciate you for being here with me.
I've got about 73 people here is good.
He said you guys were being here with me.
But those are my keys to the game, ladies and gentlemen.
And I think you know, like I said, I'm not focusing on the Knicks beating Milwaukee in these keys to the game.
I'm focusing on the Knicks, getting better as a team and doing what they need to do to get better as a team.
That's where my focus is right now.
Hey, that's well, that's what I'm thinking right now.
So again, let me give you another update on the Knicks.
Frank Miller, Akina.
He is questionable for tonight's game with a upper back soreness.
So I'm expecting Dennis Smith Jr to start.
Hey, Kadeem Allen.
He is with the team, so you know, we'll see what we'll see where that goes.
And Marcus Morris? He's having cervical spasms.
He's out tonight and he did not travel with the team.
So we'll see where that goes.
When we talk about Marcus Morris, I get to a couple of phone calls.
I got about 10 minutes to get to a couple phone calls in the matter Here.
Caller, you're live another, but next was popping.
See how you do it.
I'm good, man. I'm good.
How you feeling? Great.
Great, great. A a man.
The life of being a Knicks fan, man.
That's all I could really say.
I know a couple things concerning tonight came, um, I just wanted It hasn't been ruled out that Millikin is not gonna play.
He's questionable for tonight.
He's questionable okay.
Having upper back soon.
So whatever it is, I'm gonna go on a limb Properties not gonna play.
So that's what I'm doing here.
So, Dennis Smith Jan has really got to, you know, control the I would say the pace of the game and also just, you know, um uh, just run the team pretty much.
I mean, that's what you saw on the Latina doing, and that's what Yes, j has got to d'oh! And I also heard that Ah, that Ah, Gaston Julia gets back on the team.
Uh uh, deem alley up, Kadeem Allen.
He's He's with the team in Milwaukee.
Okay, so since he's there, I want to see Fizdale, you know, use him because he knows his system.
So there's no reason why he shouldn't get me run.
You know what? You know, running a team and everything and, um, honestly, I really want to see around the tree air in there and just get a little bit of burn.
Um, I don't know what the X why he's been sitting, but I really want him to, uh, get a little burn tonight.
And I want Bill to start coaching as if it's his, you know, I won't be his last game, but he's just got to make better decisions with his rotations and his, um when the game is close, come out, You know, come up with a better place for, you know, for the players and everything.
Because I'm gonna tell you I was one.
I'm one of these next fans that supports the coach, no matter what I mean, I supported Derek Fisher.
I supported Horny Sekai, supported all of them.
But, um, like I said, I just want, um this sale thio, uh, just to be, you know, a little bit more of dinner on when it gets close to the game.
So called little Pretty much? Yeah, Coach Coach with a little desperation or something, huh? I think he probably feels the pressure, though.
That as one thing I say, he probably feels the pressure you can help with the field Depression, man, you know? Yeah.
And I mean, I know it's New York.
It's, you know, big.
You know, bright lights, big city and everything.
But you are still the coach, and either your players and, um I get it.
That some people don't like him because he's still buddy, buddy and everything.
And I'm starting to see that, especially.
You know, this means Thio, Jamal and everybody else.
I see What they're talking about is why you don't like him and everything, but and I'm starting to, you know, feel that way as well.
But I'm still going to He is the coach.
You got to respect that.
And I just want him to be just a little bit better at, um, his institutions, his gang play game plan.
Um, I need him to just be more of you know, of that coach and everything, because even if he is out, I'm not gonna go on a limb and say Mark Jackson is, you know, the best candidate to replace him.
I'm not gonna say that, Um, because to me, there are other coaches out there that probably I don't care what the status is, as far as you know, um, as far as it, you know, just being New York and everything.
I need a coach in there that, you know, that doesn't care and just cares about getting you know, w I'm sure Fidel does care about get W's, but still, we're not seeing that when I seen that.
That passion? No, that's pretty much it.
I don't want anything tonight.
A Kevin just to let you know, guys in the YouTube chat think you sound like Steve Mills.
So they think they say, Hey, this is Steve Mills on the phone.
You know, we're here.
And that's another thing.
Even if we do it only, you know, bites the bullet and does get rid of management.
The only one I want to, um, person to stay Scott Perry.
Because I think that Scott Perry has done a phenomenal job with getting them getting, uh, young rookies.
You know, uh, you know the team picking out talent as far as the veterans everything little to be desired for.
But then again, this is you know, this is New York.
Um, I want Scott Perry to stay.
All right? Yeah.
This'd yourself from that.
Uh, I I'll see you later.
I talk to you about enjoy the game piece.
That man was Steve Mills.
He quickly distanced himself from Steve Mills.
You don't want that smoke.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't.
You don't want that smoke right there.
Um, ladies and gentlemen, I take one more phone call.
5164 or 52246 You can call in right now and I'll get to you real quick.
The keys to tonight's game for 48 minutes.
Gotta play team defense.
No selfish play.
Take care of the ball, Play with pace and make your free throws.
Now all of these things are are they're not really strategies to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks.
Because at this point, I'm just worried about the Knicks finding ways to get better as a team, not just defeating the nor Milwaukee Bucks, but getting better.
As a team, we always lack.
We don't play a full 48 minutes.
SWAT teams come back on us.
Gotta play team defense.
Whether you're playing honest, you playing Kevin Walker daily Brown, Jason Tatum.
It gotta play team defense.
Your teammates gotta trust that they're going to get to help when they get beat.
But also, your teammates got to trust that you're going to stay in front of your guy.
And tonight late again.
John is tell you right now you're gonna need some team defense.
No selfish play.
I don't care if that self is play results in a basket.
You gotta understand the principles of the game, not play selfish basketball.
Understand that if you move the ball, it will gravitate back to you.
If everyone's playing, If everyone's on the same page, that ball will gravitate back to you.
We got to take care of the basketball.
We don't take care of the basketball.
These guys are run up all over us, be a 50 point blowout.
And I'm afraid about playing with pace, because when you play with pace, you take a chance of turning the ball over a little bit more.
But again, this is about the Knicks.
Not about the books, but we've gotta learn.
We averaged 103.
101 points per game or whatever it is, all right, We got one of the worst offenses in the league.
We got to start picking up the pace, moving the ball, playing with more rhythm.
We gotta make our freak those ladies and gentlemen, these things we gotta do things we gotta do to win the game.
He match up for tonight.
And I'm pretty sure some of you guys are gonna cranes when you know how to keep Max up beds.
But you keep match up for tonight.
Is Julius Randle any honest antenna? Cooper.
Yeah, it's He's 6 11 to 42.
Yeah, I was just 30.
9 points per game, 13.
She was 56% from the field, 28.
He also averages 1.
4 blocks per game.
Julius Randle, 68 to 50.
You having a 17.
2 points per game, 8.
Just under one steal the game.
He's shooting 45% from the field and 25.
That right there.
That's a key matchup for tonight.
I'm gonna be a tough task with Julius Randle folks.
Not gonna be easy at all.
He's gonna need his teammates to have his back.
He's gonna need his teammates to help him out.
Knicks tonight Play the bucks, ladies and gentlemen, and I'll be on after the game.
Like I said, I've got to do a short one today.
The next I'll be on after the game to do a post game show.
Postgame show will be a little bit shorter, too.
Maybe our I would have because I got to get on the road right after that.
All right, Vaughn.
Alan, you say that's why Julius makes the big bucks.
Well, we'll see.
He's gotta own it tonight.
Yannis intended Kuperman may be the best playing the league's got only tonight.
Last phone call right here.
And get to this last phone call. Gonna mount.
Ladies and gentlemen, call your live with nothing but Nick's.
What's poppin with you? What's going on from I'm good, man.
How are you? No. Good.
So what do you think about tonight, man? Uh, I don't know.
I don't know what to expect, because I don't know what makes air coming out to play.
You never know what this team You know what I'm saying? Yeah, that's true, right? You never know.
With these guys, you never know what they're gonna do.
Everyone's expecting a blowout.
They may come out and play the best game of the season.
That's how this team goes.
Sometimes you are Kareem.
Oh, I just wanted to ask you what would you put a home today? Well, even that you don't have markets more.
See if Marcus Moore is there was there.
I would put Marcus Morris on ya, miss.
But Marcus Morris isn't there.
You can't put Kevin knocks on Johannes.
I don't think that's gonna work.
He'll abuse him.
He doesn't have the strength, and he doesn't have the defensive AC, you mean? Um, so you're kind of stuck with Julius Randle on him.
I don't know who else you put on him.
The only dentist with you, he's going to be gone.
Um, who else we got there? Di Vincenzo Looks like he's going to be the starter for tonight.
This Chris Middleton, he's he's back.
But, you know, he's just getting himself back into the flow of it.
So r j Barrett probably beyond even Chen's.
Oh, Kevin, not some Westie Matthews got Taj Gibson are Robin Lopez.
Um I see us playing the ladders home tonight.
Yeah, Yeah, I can agree what you did playing a lot of songs, and if we go man.
Um, throw curveballs.
Okay, I'm put it.
I won't dismiss that, but I'm put in on Lopez.
Okay? I'm neither Mitch in the middle because the honest about a shooter family likes to drive rather jeon him driving.
I'm even mitt with geometry, but clam off a little bit, a little bit.
Focus on protecting the room.
And that goes for times they were even though the tide's up.
Well, yeah, but I lived up there.
Ah, bled soul DiVincenzo and Westie Matthews.
Uh, what's the Matthews? Looks around a lot.
So before, with where? It gets tricky.
Um uh, these matchups don't look good for the Knicks tonight.
Yeah, other moment matchups.
Just don't look good for the Knicks tonight, man.
I understand what you say and maybe he doesn't start.
Kevin knows what he likes to run.
Yeah, blood flow.
The strong guard.
Yeah, And place a little billy book.
Yeah. Oh, people don't go.
I'm not worried about him. Even though he's a shooter.
Yeah, Yeah, I don't Yeah.
You do stuff with asking.
Were Julius with or between Julius and coming back those tour yet Get matches right there.
It's tough is definitely tough because of the mismatches, man.
Um, unless you don't start Kevin Knox, I don't knowwho you start and maybe, you know, if you don't start, I don't know, maybe maybe you start.
I don't know, man.
I'm interested to see what what Coach Fizdale is gonna do and see, because they're coming.
Your Majesty is a good man.
That matches the matchups is not good for the Knicks, in my opinion tonight.
Too many too many mismatches out there.
Yeah, a man I appreciate to call.
I'm about to head off.
I know, but I'm a piece.
Yes, it has the potential to be a rough one for the next.
Ladies and gentlemen, Lana mismatch is out there.
Um, interested to see the way that Coach David Fizdale handles this.
You know, But anyway, I'm out.
I will see you guys tonight after the game, so I'm beyond.
I probably be on right at 10.
30 right after the game.
But then I got to get on the road.
All right, you guys be peaceful.
Have a great day at work, all right? And, um, I talked to you guys later on tonight.
Ladies and gentlemen, mighta hit Ace
