going live here on the fourth quarter coverage on 1/3 and 11 here for the New England Patriots, trailing 28 to 9 in this game action? I don't think anyone necessarily saw this being away.
This particular game was going to play out.
Well, go ahead and just highlight some of the things we saw over the course of this game, pretty much watching what would be considered the last gasp for the New England Patriots.
As they try to go outside, we'll get a fly here.
So it should be holding our defensive pass interference out there on the outside.
Ah, for Johnson Jr and we will see a first down play here for the New England Patriots, following the defensive pastor.
Assuming, as the judges, as the referees do come together here now, have a brief conversation, always a curious one when they start chatting it up.
This has been a game where 17 of 36 has been Tom Brady with 209 yards.
Ah had the one touchdown, one interception.
Also on the other side of it has been three touchdowns from DeShaun Watson, 17 24 to 37 in this one.
We go full box score just to get some additional highlights on this one here first and 10 6 53 to go here in the fourth.
Ah, what other numbers? You have to take a peek at here, What with 10 carry for the six yards Sony Michelle 10 45.
Nice balance there.
If you're talking about the offensive running game, problem has been, of course, the 63.
3 Q B rating for Tom Brady.
You have to certainly think about that from from, ah, offensive standpoint.
Uh, mention that to 37 4 Dash on.
Duke Johnson going 9 36 4 yard average there.
Carlos Heidi 15.
Not a lot to show for it there.
The defense is done.
Certainly some nice job.
Some nice job has done a nice job for the Houston Texans.
They've come up with three sacks, three tackles for loss, seven pass deflections, 10 Q B hits to go along with it, so they've been very effective and shutting down this offense.
We mentioned that in spite of some of those respectable numbers from the running game, get out behind early then you're looking to play from behind and not a lot of opportunities.
They're over on the other side in spite of having three sacks just to pass deflections.
Four Q B hits for the New England Patriots defense.
Not able to do enough against the Houston Texans and very consistent seven points per quarter here for the Houston Texans and just slowly got away from New England Patriots.
As we talk about when you play from behind, you can run into issues now.
Obviously, this game looks like it's heading in that direction of a loss here for the New England Patriots, trailing by 19.
Effectively a three score game there, and we'll see here. Concussion protocol.
Looks like it's getting called in or just a shoulder injury there for number 20.
There on, the Texans will take a look at him.
This will be an official's time out.
Ah, lucky break.
Their five and 1/2 to go in this fourth quarter.
One of the things you start to think about, though, if you are Ah, you know, a New England Patriots fan.
You start to look around this league.
You think about where is Tom Brady? Been over these last handful of games.
Obviously, he's a little bit older here.
We talk about him on the season.
Ah, 60 to completion percentage career 64 player averaging 6.
7 per completion.
A seven and 1/2 yards per completion of his career.
15 up, five down.
So certainly playing to an 85 88.
5 q B rating on the regular season.
Nothing to scoff at.
He's a career 97 so you know I'm not gonna tell you that is Drop off.
His been so substantial, but you would say certainly that they've been trying to put him in positions to not have to worry about losing games.
What that defense do A lot of the happy lifting.
Over the course of the season, we start to look around in spite of being 10 and one.
You know they're gonna get home games.
You know that Bella check is going to certainly scheme himself into some victories, but you start to think about a team like the Houston Texans in the playoffs.
You start to think about a team like the Baltimore Ravens to similar quarterbacks.
Mobile, agile guys, obviously, the Ravens having a stronger defense than the Texans so far this year.
But Texas putting on a nice performance in this one? You do start to wonder, Right? What kind of matchups could this team face in the playoffs? Obviously, you're looking to stay healthy, looking to make sure that you lock up that number one seed.
Overall, we expand a little bit and talk about that NFL standings as Brady drops back, looking to make something happen here, fires it away over the top there for 56 year to go in the 4th 2nd intent.
Obviously, this is just window dressing at this point.
Ah, but I thought maybe a quick strike.
You at least want to keep things interesting.
Uh, you go over this standing here, right? Interesting part for me is you got the Buffalo Bills at nine and three.
New England falls here 10 and two.
You are theoretically talking about a team that could have to win a couple of extra games here down the stretch to avoid possibly losing a division title for the first time.
It who knows? How could he think how many years it's been, uh, Tom Brady, then the quarterback so You know, there's just 20 years winning the division title, probably for the New England Patriots, but they do have some competition within the division now and in terms of game, that home field advantage in the playoffs and having that opportunity was 1/4 down.
Come up here for the Patriots with 4 40 to go in the fourth quarter.
You know, you have to start to think about that 10 and two from the Baltimore Ravens right now.
So home field advantage throughout the playoffs is now gonna be on the line for them.
No one else to really worry about saying no one, really.
But 84 Kansas City Chiefs, the Ah seven and four Houston time's going 84 here.
Tennessee getting that win.
He highlighted this back on that Thursday night matchup.
Lastly, Colts lose their now six and six.
They've gone first to third.
Tennessee Titans get themselves in the discussion from the division, renouncing very active.
These teams all play each other there in the A F C South.
That's gonna be a fun one to watch.
And now, though, with Houston winning here and going to eight and four on the season will give themselves to have a bit of a stranglehold on there.
And then you have a meeting, though, with these Tennessee Titans down the road here.
So you know, going to be a live action there with this loss.
We go inside the New England Patriots and talk about their upcoming schedule.
Obviously started out so hot now.
Lost to the Ravens a few weeks ago.
Beat the Eagles and the Cowboys doesn't look as impressive as it once did.
Now, right, those are two teams of 500 below 500 getting just a 13 9 win over the Cowboys just 17 10 won over the legal Eagles list.
Windsor wins, but they now will have this loss on the docket today at the take on the Chief's next week.
Suddenly, that becomes a pretty big game.
And then you talk about having you would think one of the matchups against the Bangles and sandwiched in between.
There's going to be the Buffalo Bills so all of the sun in you start to look at that, that Buffalo's bill matchup in your circle, that there will be a home for them.
But this will be an opportunity potentially as well.
Take a look at the Buffalo Bills remaining schedule and what we can expect from them over the last ah, handful of games for them.
And if that could be a potential big matchup, right, so it'll be 10 and two.
Buffalo Bills or nine and three.
Their remaining schedule looks like this having to go on, take on.
Ah, they will take on the Ravens, so that will be difficult.
Matchup for them.
They'll have the Steelers Tomlin certainly getting a ton of action at a Pittsburgh there.
They got the win against the Browns today.
Not gonna be easy.
Then you get the Patriots, you finish off with the Jets team that you thought was maybe serving in the right direction, laying an egg against the essence. Many Bangles today.
So a much harder road for the Buffalo Bills, obviously talking about them making the playoffs, which would be a great a story for them up in Buffalo.
But just in terms of possible division, obviously they have it laid out in front of them there.
Ah, big matchup against the Ravens.
Certainly be a tough one.
If you want to say that they lose that game and go to nine and four.
Then you have to go to Pittsburgh, maybe pull out a tough win, get shut the 10 and four and then have a head to head matchup with the Patriots before you try to close out the season.
So certainly opportunity there, but I don't know if I would necessarily look at that and think that there's going to be a high chance of it.
Feels good over.
So the Patriots bottom line being that the Bills are still in a good position to lock down one of those playoff spots in the wild card.
After you think about the with four tough games for them coming up, you could theoretically see them lose three out of these four games.
Whether you wants a Pittsburgh and the Jets being those toss up games and maybe the Ravens ah, and Patriots will be difficult.
The weather looks like, though in Buffalo they can certainly win that game against the Ravens this upcoming week.
So a lot out in front of them.
But if they were to go to and to and find themselves five losses or even one in 34 losses.
Now you start to look around that NFL standings and thinking wild card match ups.
You got to believe that you're gonna have some competition of Pittsburgh will be playing for that life there is.
You don't think they're gonna have an opportunity inside the division with the Baltimore Ravens there and then teams like the Texans now getting their eighth win of the season, the Titans.
We're gonna have some things to play for again.
That could get muddled, certainly there.
And then I don't know if you're going to worry about the Oakland Raiders now dropping another one today and what was pointing Moss for them.
So, you know, going to see a lot of moving parts here that should still be in the driver's seat to make it.
But again, depending on schedules and how they break out, you could see some competition and the guys coming down to the last couple of games needed to take on a division opponent of the Jets.
Maybe the Jets aren't playing for anything other than spoilers as we highlighted the Giants files.
Possibly having that opportunity as well will be interesting to say.
This was I believe the fourth down play, depending on where they give the door.
Set the lying to gain here.
Well, Hattie, this will be a close one.
Certainly will be a reviewable play here that we will look inside and see what kind of spot they give him.
54 here to go, and we'll see if the measurement comes out.
So they're gonna measure first, and then we'll take a look at the challenge, and he has that challenge flag and read out there in front of them.
So, uh, it was 1/4 and sixth there on that 17.
So as we highlighted 1/4 and six play, looks like it's gonna be a close one.
What? They will take another look here underneath.
And you want to come in there and highlight some of the challenges ahead for the New England Patriots? Potentially in terms of securing that home field advantage, securing another division title.
We could go on the other side of those well and take a look at Houston if we want to.
As we mentioned, they'll get the Broncos next week, followed up by a division matchup.
That, too, thought to more meetings with the Titans room now.
Well, sit. Just a game.
Behind them will be 847 and 52 games to play one another.
Everything will be the play for the 1st 1 will be on the road in Tennessee.
Sandwich around them, the Broncos, a foreign.
I mean, listen, they're still playing Confederate football on a weekly basis.
Got a nice win against the Chargers today.
And then you also have the Buccaneers, the very least on the road team that can certainly sling.
It could find yourselves in a difficult offensive matchup.
So once again, you're talking about a team that you know if they want to go into the O following this victory, we'll find themselves at a time before you get yourself to 10 and six.
I think that's enough.
As long as you're splitting that Siri's there with the Titans to get the job done going over onto the Tennessee Titans side of things, we highlight that their games down the stretch outside of those too much with the Texans will be the Raiders next week followed up with the Saints in between there.
So again, even though they're seven and five, right now you could see them if they can split, get themselves.
And nine and seven does that spell playoff opportunity will be in the hunt, but they're probably gonna need to get themselves that 10th win if they want to lock it up.
And that probably means splitting against Houston.
And then you've got to get Raiders this next week.
And if you want to put yourself in the driver's seat, get that win against the Raiders and then have everything to play for at home against your division rival, certainly in the Texans and give yourself a chance.
Maybe pulling yourself closer, or at least thing within that game, the final one that we obviously the Tennessee Titans came off a nice matchup against the Colts.
Got that win the Coats, a drop this game and now coming off, unfortunately to division losses 20 to 17 to the Texans, 31 17 to the Titans, will now go on the road to the Buccaneers offensively power team being interesting one there than a difficult match up on the road against the Saints, who are going to be looking to need to get these victories for themselves down the stretch they close out with the Panthers and the Jaguars.
But this is a team that, unfortunately, with four games to play now sitting in six and six, I think you're probably going to see them play to a 500 record.
Eight, maybe on the outside, looking in.
Still a good season for them moving on from Andrew Luck.
I think percent, you know, missed a couple of games there with injuries, but then they liked what they've seen from them.
The defense played well over the course.
The season, for the most part, offensive line has been very strong for themselves.
A lot of things be positive about from the Indianapolis Colts standpoint.
They're gonna be in in a competitive division going forward.
And as we talk about this review here, ah, review was upheld.
So it is a first down.
O'Brian loses a challenge, but certainly at this stage of the game, not a lot to worry about there.
Oh, you on one out.
As we head into the 11 18 East Coast, our here, we'll take a look at how the pitch is able to close this one out, and then we'll step away on our coverage here on SportsCastr with not a lot to play for going to the end zone.
Not a chance in h e double hockey sticks that that one was gonna get pulled down there on the outside.
If you are using *** and you wanna close without stronghold the Patriots to single digits sending a message to them about what they can expect for you should you meet them in the playoffs And again we talk about the big picture here, uh, taking a look.
It was well outside, almost an offensive past. Interfere.
And she certainly could have called it if you wanted to second down in 10.
14 on the play clock.
Uh, Texans at the 11 year old and Texans here for Tom bringing the shotgun set.
Two wideouts of 31 of the top of the screen to split out near side.
Now we will have a man in motion out of the backfield goes white, moving around slightly in the pocket and then zipping one over the middle and finding his man white going into the end zone touchdown for the New England Patriots here with just under What is it? 13 play Dr.
They're six minutes and 11 seconds.
75 yards, as you got a little bit quicker there.
3 42 to go in this game.
I would anticipate the nets.
Handle some leftover stacks there in my beard.
I would assume the Patriots will go for the onside kick here.
Maybe you assume also that you can see I wouldn't be here now. 28.
Yet 20 doesn't really matter what makes a world of difference, right? We'll be getting to 16. Still be down.
Here you go For to you making an 11.
And that will make it effectively.
A touchdown, two point conversion and fuel goal away from tying it.
So it makes all the sense in the world here for New England to go for a two point conversion and get it down to an 11 point deficit before they'll have to go for the inevitable onside kick attempt.
Romeo Cornell still flashing around this league, doing some good work there.
Down in Houston.
Uh, do you give up the We'll call it garbage time score at this point.
Unless you saw Ah, an onside kick. Recovery.
Nice job by white as they do.
Review all scoring place.
Looks like he had his arm underneath it there.
We called it a touch down on the field.
You assume they will stay a touchdown and they do.
And there is a three wide receiver set to near side one of the top of your screen back field alone.
Back with Tom Brady under center, Faked.
A handoff, looking looking pressure.
No penalty, no conversion.
So they stop him there and this will keep it.
Ah, what will be a 13 point game, which is still a two possession game.
We'll stick around here and see out the onside kick attempt.
You assume coming from the wing compatriots as it was? Ah, settlement on the outside.
Pressure started getting the face there, Tom Brady.
And then you look here to see Yeah, I'm not going to see.
I don't see anything there in terms of pass interference.
You see a lot of pressure getting in their faces.
Tom Brady tried to stand and deliver Hoo! Yeah, Joseph and covers.
They're on the outside Now.
You can tell by the yawns spot timeto put a cap on this one But we will watch this through with Take a look to see if the New England Patriots can get anything on this onside kick and given opportunity.
At least we're still 3 42 to play here.
Outside shot, right recovery, first thoughts of a comeback.
It doesn't get far enough, touch, though, by the Houston Texans.
And as we always say, that's when you gotta be careful, right? If you're going to go down before it gets to that yard marker.
If you're Houston Texan, you're supposed to back away from that thing and not allow their wedding pictures cannot touch it. It would be a penalty.
So what? That thing just sit there, and instead this little side laid it down on its side before you kick it, swift it along.
Not a bad effort, but you didn't quite have the distance there.
A decent job by the Patriots trying to swarm in there around and a little fun.
A little bottle of the ball there with the Houston Texans have to remember, You can keep yourself in position there.
Whoever's gonna be in the recovery side, you want to go on engage of that line.
You certainly can you risk getting pushed back into the ball.
But ultimately is a recovery with 3 42 to go, and that signals the time for Adam are about to sign off here for the one giant podcast coverage on the SportsCastr platform follows on social media.
