and welcome into the We got nits.
Podcast Live streaming on SportsCastr Coming to you here on a Sunday evening, 10.
35 in the east as Thea L.
Clippers will prepare to square off with the Washington Wizards.
Any moment now, we'll go inside.
The numbers here highlight these teams.
Reason why we're taking a look at him is, of course, because you're talking about the Washington Wizards, the team that the Nets will see at some point along the way here.
And it never hurts just to kind of get a sense of where they are, as we mentioned on a couple of our previous broadcast highlighting this team and noticing that certainly they've had some success in statistical categories, if not in the Win column of 14% wind share opportunity for the Wizards on the road here.
So I don't know how much you want to read into that number, but right now, talking about points per game, top 31 18 and 1/2 for the Wizards coming into this one.
Certainly, as we look inside the defensive numbers for the season so far, you can also find those Washington Wizards are going to be right there, the bottom giving up 121.
So obviously you can understand why they're having some issues personally on the defense's side of the floor and why, then in the Win column, you're not seeing more opportunities going through for that.
The other interesting thing that we highlighted here is that the Washington Wizards, currently now actually been taken over by the Charlotte Hornets here.
1% for the Charlotte Hornets from the field, Washington and second there 48.
So you're seeing how some of these some of these teams that were listing your Golden State Warriors of 48 a ll The sudden you find yourself muddling down there into the middle of the pack before you get to some of the higher percentage shooting.
Ah, middle of routines.
They're scoring better and certainly in the wind and lost columns from that standpoint.
But again, as we all know, it's about balance on both ends of the floor.
And as you highlight some of those teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors, you can shoot a great percentage.
But if you can't stop anybody, it's certainly going to lead to some potential issues now, with the reason why we do talk about, though, the Wizards is there going to be seeing themselves are also a 37.
3% 3 point shooting team and then are coming in at 80% from the line as well.
So there's a lot of things to like about this team from its assistance statistical standpoint.
We look at the Brooklyn that schedule and when they will be seeing the Washington Wizards come into play here.
Ah, but up, up, up.
Not for a little while down the road here, first meeting with them actually will come quite a ways away.
And by quite a ways away, I'm not seeing other.
Washington comes in.
So certainly down the road on the back end of the season, they'll also coming in February.
A cz well, and then February 1 will be the first mean that we see so we won't see them until later in the new year.
But obviously, with only one game on the docket tonight, we figured, Why not dive in? Just checking the checking the line here and seeing if the Brooklyn Nets will have to take on the L A Clippers at any point here over the course of the season.
And, no, yes, it is sorry, almost missed him there down in March.
There will have a match up on the 13th with the Clippers, and that will mark the first of two.
Obviously, the 2nd 1 will come on March 25th in Barclay Center.
So back in meetings for them, Certainly we watch the L.
A Lakers lose earlier today to the Dallas Mavericks.
Luca Don Church going for 27 in that 1 10 assists, a double double on the other side of that 27 10 4 Mr Davis.
Still, finally, the losing streak winning streak comes to an end there for the for the L A Lakers, and now we wait for this game.
Action to get going Here, you talk about on the other side of this map trouble.
First, we'll continue to dive in here on the Wizards for a moment.
Let's take a look at those stat lines.
Any injury updates that we may want to cover for you as well as of right now, the obvious one first and foremost is going to be, uh, John Wall has been out for some time now, Uh, mention with the Achilles will not return to the cord until he's ready to play 100%.
So that's what you have on him as only back on September 30th.
Now, more familiar ones they're going to be, uh, Mignini has been out there at the center position without Achilles, and it looks like he will go this week.
But it's outrage now, so we'll see what's gonna happen with him and then c j miles of the shooting guard position.
We'll see a specialist today.
Prefer their examination of his left wrist injury.
So without C J Miles, we dive inside the stat lines here and see what that means for this Washington Wizards team.
Miles is a player who has been averaging and 10 games hasn't any starts for this team.
Obviously, now that the injury was giving you 16 minutes, six points per game, giving you, ah, handful Al over a rebound there one assist to go along with it.
So I'm not necessarily gonna worry too much about him being out.
Obviously, the leader of this team from a scoring standpoint, has been Bradley Beal, giving you 28.
3 also leads the team in assists.
Thomas Bryant has been leading the team in rebounding, with Steel's going to Troy better around Junior and then Bryant leading with one block as well.
We talk about obviously Bradley Beal, 36 plus minutes a game giving you 28.
Ah, he's knocking down seven assists in this as well to go along with those four rebounds per game, averaging three.
Turnover certainly will take those compliments here.
He's plus two two on the assist to turnover ratio, their eyes doing the bulk of the scoring for this team.
You're getting 14 points in kicked in there from Bryant over 28 minutes of the center position.
Then you get into Ah, Burton's was actually coming off the ah ah bench here.
So continuing down that starting rotation, 17 starts there.
So Ah Hachi Mora going to be the man for you, giving you almost 27 minutes again.
Give you 12 points.
Five rebounds, five and 1/2 Nearly assistant.
I have to go along with it and then you also get down into Ah, Isiah Thomas, who's worked himself back healthy here and is now over.
These last games started as 12 now on the season, 24 minutes, nearly 12 points on and certainly trying to build himself back into playing condition.
Has done a nice job over this last stretch, giving you five assists on the season as well.
We dive inside this schedule to see how they've looked over their last handful of games.
Mixed bag, losing three out of their last four.
But you certainly go back against unbeatable opponents a couple of games prior to go back to November 15th.
White only after a three game losing streak to the ah at the Pacers home for Cleveland at Boston.
They then one against the Timberwolves and a 1 37 1 16 route lost 1 25 1 21 at Orlando.
Came home to get back to back wins against San Antonio and Charlotte 1 38 1 30 to 1 25 1 18 and then followed it up with back to back losses.
Sacramento, Denver getting a win against Phoenix 1 41 32 then ultimately losing to L.
A 1 25 13 running theme.
Here is a lot of points in these games.
We're going to see them take on the L.
Clippers now tonight and obviously will be curious to see if they're able to get themselves going from an offensive standpoint before they turn the page and move on through their schedules.
I mean, listen, they want a handful of games here.
I think six and 11 is probably a little bit better than, uh than most were anticipating from this team as we get into the action here.
Five to early lead for the Clippers as Isiah Thomas.
Grab that rebound.
And then it was, Ah, Paul George on a shooting foul following up. Thea.
Sorry, it's on his actions.
Running through a little bit hot and heavy years.
They recap this for me.
Bradley Beal makes the free throw one for one after he was made his bucket.
And knock that down 7 to 5.
You see co islander missing his shot going the other way with AOL offensive rebound.
Scuse me for Patrick Beverley.
So he goes ahead and gives the Clippers a second chance opportunity missed there, though, for Paul George, and it will be Hachi Murrow within with the defensive rebound as they will have the other direction early, 75 here with 10 minutes to go in the first action, going both directions.
Brown Jr missing on the jumper, but an offensive rebound there for Brian's and, uh, as we talked about you took this game to get out and get running, I suppose if you're thinking that maybe, ah, you have an opportunity with the Haji Noora Bryant Thomas Beale in Brown on the floor for the Washington Wizards to start this.
Leonard Ah, Harkless George Zoo back in Beverly of four.
Your L A Clippers if you get out and run and get some points on the board.
Certainly, though, this feels like the kind of matchup where the defensive prowess as Thomas misses his first of three free throws here.
Ah, getting fouled.
They're taking that outside shot.
It was Patrick Beverley picking up that shooting foul after Thomas Brian had that offensive rebound.
We'll have two more attempts here.
Isiah Thomas misses the second of his of his free throws on this one as well, too.
So if you are the L. A Clippers.
You certainly can be locked down defensively if they're able to get that going early here could be the kind of game where they feel like from a wizard standpoint.
Ah, that you're going to see.
Certainly potential for a route on hand, though.
The Wizards do grab an offensive rebound there.
And Isiah Thomas made that third free throw certain.
We s So it was one of three there at the line.
Closes to a 76 matchup, waiting to see if Mbah TV will come back in on some live and gave coverage.
Otherwise, I'm gonna have to work this.
Ah, just a little bit off the board here as we go through some live game casting info will be checking in on a couple other sort out.
Let's source is here to see if I can get this game up and going for myself.
Otherwise, we'll follow this through for a little bit longer here, as we just want to highlight this game action talking about the wizard's.
Obviously, they're a team that can score.
We won't see them for a little ways down the road and you assume with our full complement of players on opportunity.
Four of the Brooklyn Nets to get winds down the road against this lower Eastern Conference team.
To give you an idea, the Clippers come into this one having won 11 straight home games against the Wizards since going back since a 91 89 loss back in 2008.
Obviously, these rosters have changed a lot, but the east of West Coast swing is a real thing, and the Clippers have been able to take advantage of the Wizards over the years.
Ah, they also haven't 11 home game active streak going up against Phoenix.
And, ah, also technically have one.
Going into the Lakers at the Staples Center is co tenant from 2013 to 2017.
So a couple of streets there for the Clippers as they come into this game.
Now, as I check in to see if we're getting any more live updates there, Yes, so, ah, with Thomas Brian missing a shot there, Zuba gets the defensive rebound going the other way.
11 6 early here with 8 43 to go in the first as the NBA TV highlights, some of these standings now for the Eastern Conference looking inside as they will actually be highlighting this Brooklyn's game.
Brooklyn Nets game, 8 40 to play here in the first Clippers, taking on the Wizard's looking to see here.
What kind of offensive said that Clippers get into on what expectations we can have their I will check in ah, one last time just to find out if I can get this coverage anywhere on from obviously from the East Coast looking West, although it does not look like that's going to be the case.
And no, it will not.
Unfortunately, not gonna be able to watch this game live, certainly, at least on the TV, so I can take a look and see if I can pull it up here and get some insights as well.
Otherwise, I'll step aside here.
I don't want to take any viewership away from anybody else that was given some coverage.
11 8 as Troy Brown Jr makes a lay up there on the hockey team or assist.
So, uh, Wizards early here, 11 to 8, still sticking around eight minutes to go through the 1st 4 minutes of game action here as they do show these highlights of one of 6 99 lead the Nets had with 1 36 to play, and then that quickly shrunk down to a 105106 And then that baseline jumper where AH, you had, uh, Butler getting fouled, knocking down to gave the Heat the one point lead that they went on to win from.
So ah, we'll see if I can get anything going otherwise is an Thomas makes a 17 foot jumper and pulls the Wizards back to a 10 to 13 deficit.
Certainly early going here.
Isiah Thomas, having a nice little run here, hitting his first getting a readout.
Also got to the line there.
Leonard knocks down 18 footer, pull up jumper while back on the other end, Brian missed it and then had a zoo back.
Another defensive rebound for him, clearing the glass 15 10.
Now in favor of the L.
A Clippers brightly deal.
With the turnover going the other way, it will switch back over the possessions for the L A Clippers and we will see if they can make some headway on the offensive end here.
Paul George had a bad pass that was stolen by Dielman immediately gave her a back.
Paul George misses his shot with a Bradley deal.
Defensive rebound heading the other direction.
So George and deal playing hot potato with the basketball, they're not much of an opportunity.
Thomas Brian misses the layup and Beverly will clean the boards on the defensive side for the L A Clippers following the defensive rebound going back the other way, Thomas misses a shot there.
Hachi Mora had the offensive rebound that was followed with a tip in shot.
Good to get this to a 15 12 game, as the Clippers will call the full time out with 6 27 to go up three.
Here and obviously again, Washington Wizards Known for their offensive output, it's just a matter of whether or not they can sustain and get some stops on the other end.
Currently, they are sporting a three point lead.
Here started three point deficit, 15 12.
We'll see if they can get anything going on the defense's side of the ball.
Is this one, not just about halfway through this first quarter and on pace for a 30 to 24 1st quarter performance.
As you would expect with the Wizard on the floor.
Be curious to see what kind of adjustments we see Doc Rivers make and try to clamp down against what has been so far a balanced attack here from the Wizard's four for Hachi Mora Thomas with three.
Beale with three.
Brown Jr with two, kicked in there.
Leonard leading a lot of four of six performance.
Eight points, a rebound and assist to go along with it, and then Paul George giving you 52 of five and want to from the outside.
And that's what you expect offensively from the Clippers to be playing through.
They're talented, talented duo of George and Leonard, and people have been highlighting.
Obviously, this is a team that on the defense event, it's not about athleticism or flashy plays.
Their technical and smart as I mentioned, Smart Market Smart went out earlier today with an injury taking on the New York Knicks and that one as it worked through the third quarter.
Ah, we saw the Knicks still hanging around this one.
They lost another game late in that one.
This one here they were able to least through the third has some effective play extend themselves to a neat point lead.
This is a team that has been a times exciting.
The watch, though they seem to still be struggling to feed down the stretch and as they move in some fourth quarter highlights for you just to give you the live looking not live looking, but the highly that is showing knotted up there.
95 Boston getting this steel with just under six minutes to go the easy lay up there at that end took a two point lead and then extended it out to six.
And itwas Tatum with the three pointer.
They're extending into a 108 99 with under two minutes to go than the up and under and finished there on the interior as the Boston Celtics took that game 1 13 to 10 for next fall into four and 16 Celtics up to 14 and five, Tatum with 30 points.
On 10 to 23 you had ah Brown also giving you 28 11 of 18 from the field.
Tennis is double double for Walker, 16 and 10 6 of 18 from the field there as a way for this to get back into a live game action here.
Ah, we do highlight.
Obviously some of the battles that you're going to be going on through this one, given the fact I'm going to take one last try here, getting a live feed going up.
And then, if not, we're gonna go ahead and just excuse ourselves out of this coverage.
And ah, allow you to try to source this somewhere else. Potentially.
Uh, maybe you're roasting on the East Coast, though, as well, and you're unable to watch it so and doesn't look, Camille, Pull that off.
So we do highlight here that following the full timeout, Kawai Leonard had Ah, sorry, Missed 18 foot jumper followed up there with Zuba getting a loose ball foul.
Lou Williams enters the game.
Therefore Kawai, Leonard.
And then Bryant missed on an 18 foot jumper followed up by the rebound from Paul George heading the other direction.
We can reset those lineups for you in a minute remains in a 12 to 15 game and we see now that we have Hachi, Maura Bryant, Thomas Beale and Browns and you're still for the Wizards, while Upstart, isn't quite updated yet.
Leonard stepping out of that game with Ah, there it is Harkless, George Jubak, Beverly and Lou Williams.
Maura Bryant. Thomas Beyond Brown Jr.
Still in there for the Washington Wizards as we do go into this.
Back on that foul there, the 5 40 mark Thomas Bryant had that offensive rebound.
Zuba gets hit with the foul.
We go into the full play by play coverage here as we highlight Thomas Brian missing the free throw and then Wizards with the seven stars.
Deficit here, a zoo.
Bach had that shooting foul.
Thomas Brian missing on the first.
See if he connects as Burton's will come into the Game.
Brown Jr here before that second free throw attempt is taken for Thomas Bryant.
There at the line.
Makes the second free throw.
Bring into a 17 13 game.
Paul George makes a six foot jumper on the Lou Williams assessed 1913 going back the other way with 5 32 to go.
Thomas Bryant on the shooting foul for the Wizards.
So really returns here as we move through this first quarter of action certainly since being some good things on both sides of the Bull Clippers to pull themselves away a little bit here, be curious to see at the 1913 stands there, if you can, if the Wizards can get themselves back into a rhythm right now, as you move through heading towards that five minute mark and Paul George makes his 1st 3 throw the end one free throw rather making a seven point lead at 20 to 13.
Now you start to see them seven point lead, stymieing some of the offense a lot of Mrs here for the Wizards early in this one, Uh, and certainly whether or not they're making your missing defensive presence is going to affect that with the players that they have on the floor going down the other way.
Final action here before we duck out of the door and let you know that you can, of course, always follow the We got nets on social media with Mon Trez Harrell checking into the game here for Zoo Bach 20 to 13 7 point lead, 509 to go in the first.
Ah, you can follow us on social media Facebook Instagram and Twitter that we got Nets as Isiah Thomas makes an eight foot two pointer with the hot steamer on the insist 20 to 15.
Now, for just under five minutes to go here in the first, you can also head over.
We got nets dot com.
Check out all of the, uh, updates to our podcast episodes.
Doug Nori giving you the breakdowns of what we cover on an episode to episode basis Harold makes on Nice dunk on the Lou Williams assistant.
Bradley Beal also goes the other way, though with the driving layup keeping this one close now.
Five point game 22 to 17 4 and 1/2 to go Here.
Ah, you can also go over the iTunes or wherever you get your, uh, podcast fulfillment and go ahead like review rate subscribe.
Get those automatic downloads going.
So you know you don't miss any episodes, is Paul George connects on a 20 foot pull up jumper 24 17 7 point lead for the Clippers.
And, ah, if you're enjoying what you're hearing here enjoying what you're seeing there, you can certainly get after us on social media.
Let us know if you want to hear something as heartless, makes a 2.
2 point or go there pulling the Wizards back in.
And now that seven lead now is to six, but 26 2 20 At least the Wizards were able to get themselves into a bit of an offensive rhythm as we move under four minutes to play here in the first period of action.
Bradley Beal, missing and going the other way here with Harold, actually Susan getting that defensive rebound for the Clippers heading the other way, and we'll see how this one will shake out in the long term.
That being said, obviously, some of the things that we were looking to keep an eye on.
Where, How, how's the L.
A Clippers defense timing what has been certainly an offensive output? Top three in terms of field goal percentage is for the Washington Wizards.
Or right now, before we step out the door, we highlight that we have seen and since we had a full time out here for the Washington Wizards as well, good a time as any to step out the door, highlighting what we've seen in this one.
The full box score tells you that early going in the first with three and 1/2 minutes to go a 29 to 20 lead for the L A Clippers.
We have seen the starters for the Washington Wizards be led by the efforts of Thomas and Deal five piece.
Both shooting to a four from the floor.
Also had Hachi more kicking in a to afford performance.
Assist also two for hunting.
Maura Beale kicking into as well, No.
One on the bench except for Ah Burr Tans.
And he has come in giving you three points, getting AH three pointer to fall there in just two minutes of early action.
You've already seen the Clippers going to their bench with Lou Williams and heralding both, giving you two apiece, led by the performance of Paul George and Kawai Leonard, 10 and eight, respectively, 47 for each of them.
From the Flora's Well, uh, right now 55%.
11 20 from the field for the L A Clippers, one of three from downtown and 33 from the line.
42% 18 19 for the Wizards, Just one of five from beyond the arc.
Shooting three of six at the line.
50% early, three turnovers as well For the Wizards so far, just one for the L A.
So sound basketball from the Clippers.
Obviously, they've been playing at a high, no pun intended clip over the start of this season here.
And as those turnover starts and mount up as you see them get to the line with consistency.
Although the Wizard certainly have the edge, there were six attempts already early.
If you're not going to stop them from knocking down a 55% clip, you could run some trouble, though the Wizards have playing to a high percentage.
So this is about defense versus offense, that the Clippers continue to stymie them.
I would anticipate this getting stretched out over the way here and assume, but this will be a double digit victory in the long run.
I don't think that the Washington Wizards, they're gonna have the horses to get out and run over the course of 4/4 here, so that will do it on the live.
Washington Wizards over in L.
A. Taking on the Clippers.
I'm gonna get out the door here, try to wrap things up and get myself to bed.
We will come in checking in on all the news and notes in and around the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow morning.
See if there's any information around Kyrie Irving.
When you can expect his return, try to scour the Internet and see if we get any updates around Caris. Levert.
His status is well, Certainly take a look at Jared Allen or that little bit film injury.
Gotta wrap stayed in the game.
I don't think it should be any long term issue, or they may have looked to hold him out.
But this was certainly a winnable game for the Nets earlier today.
On the other side of things, we also wonder if there's any type of AH concerns about this rotation.
What we see from use in this past matchup Are there any adjustments that Kenny Atkinson wants to make beyond what we saw in game? Obviously, we also look forward Thio Wilson, Chandler coming back following that 25 game suspension.
Still another five games to go.
But we'll see where that falls in the lineup and then, as we mentioned earlier broadcast will also look ahead and lay out this next 10 and 20 games stretch what it looks like from a scheduled standpoint.
Where can you think you can get some W's in the wind columns and what will be after another 20 games the second quarter of the season for this team heading towards the All Star break heading towards that midway point? How are they going to stack up over this schedule? And as Kyrie comes back, how do we expect them to try to get a handful of winds above 500 where even right now, 10 and 10 are still gonna find themselves locked into that seven position with a lot of sloppy teams below them? They're not too many concerns as faras securing playoff spots, though.
There's a long road to go to that.
It's now about looking at those teams above you.
Indiana Pacers, obviously the Celtics, the Raptors, the books, all the scene, the Miami Heat.
He lost a close 12 today and trying to figure out what do you need to do to make adjustments to stay competitive with them As we move through the second quarter of the season here 31 to 23 as we take a step away and the first quarter works its way towards conclusion out in L. A.
Always happy to have any live look ins here.
Hope you enjoyed some of the notes around this game.
If you do have any questions or are things that you want us to dive into our gain that you'd like us to cover that maybe isn't getting coverage here on SportsCastr.
Any of the offense that I have from Brooklyn Nets game coverage? I'd be more than happy to jump in and dive into some of stat lines, and hopefully it will be one of those games that I get to catch some live coverage up.
I always try to do a little bit of research around that, to avoid a situation like this, where I'm not trying to pick the pocket of anybody here.
If I can't get that live game coverage, I don't want to cheat anybody.
Just be following along some stat lines, so that will do it for that.
We got not We got not nets.
We got Nets podcast on the SportsCastr Livestream.
I have been Adam our break.
I'd always thank you so much for coming in and with as will be doing for the rest of this.
