Oh, what's going on? Everybody and your boy? Ray, Welcome to my little show here on DPM.
Thank you to everybody who comes in live throughout the show and thank everybody who's live watching this replay you're on, SportsCastr.
I really, really appreciate it.
And happy that you can all come out and be with me today this Saturday night and we are a day away from the New England Patriots taking on the Houston Texans.
The next time I'll see you after, say, I will be doing my live played by Ray as we go through the game together, go through the emotion through the play by plays cheer, cry, scream, Get mad together, argue, fight all the things that Patriot fans doing all the emotions that we go through through a day to day basis as New England Patriot fans joined me for That's moral, I will be going on live for the game.
And then after that, I will be doing my post game discussing the patriotsvictory over the Houston Texans.
And yes, I am that confident.
And yes, I am that arrogant that I'm already preparing my postgame victory chat tomorrow rather than just a post game and see what happens.
We're doing it because I guaran **** teen.
The New England Patriots beat the Houston Texans tomorrow night and improve 12 1 11 and 1 11 1 Oh, jeez, that kind of night.
What's going on to read? Oh, shake what's happened? Rhinos in that von guy is in.
We are here, We are strong, We are Pats Nation.
And do I have any concerns whatsoever that the New England Patriots can lose to the Houston Texans? Obviously, by my beginning, absolutely, positively not.
There's just too much going in the Patriots favor to believe that the Texans can get a jump on top of the Patriots.
Here's how it is.
The Patriots defense matches up beautifully with the Texan offense.
Stefan Gilmore has own DeAndre Hopkins, and I expect him to continue doing that tomorrow.
I'm looking at about three catches for a possible 25 to 30 yards, which, when you could do that for DeAndre Hopkins, absolutely fabulous.
I expect Fuller to be double teamed by more than likely Jonathan Arab J.
There Jonathan Jones and Devin McCourty on top.
I expect the Patriots to send a minimum of four pass rushers every single time to Shawn Watson touches the ball.
I've already said that tomorrow is gonna be a big game for our man Chase.
I think Beatrice Wise Jr could get involved.
I think the linebackers are gonna be crazy, and I expect Jamie Collins to be the one to consistently and continuously get pressure on two.
I expect Tom Brady to move the ball around if Seenu is back, I'm saying right now expect the Patriots defense toe look like the Patriots defense.
They need to build upon what Sony Michelle started last week and continue running that ball.
Keep Jacoby Meyers involved in the game.
He proved that he can be a something.
Keep Acclimatising the keel Harry and my score.
Prediction for tomorrow.
After the Patriots put up 13 total points last week after the Patriots put up less the week before, the New England Patriots will score 30 points tomorrow and they will let up nine.
And I know that that sounds crazy.
I know that that sounds insane, considering that this offense has not been productive.
But I was very encouraged over last week's game and I thought to myself in better weather.
I thought to myself in better weather, in a more predictable climate with all of his players there with Isaiah win back, Tom Brady would have had no problems whatsoever scoring points last week against the Dallas Cowboys.
And because of that, they're going to score 30.
If Mohammed's new place, it's gonna make it that much easier.
I'm predicting two touchdown runs.
Two by Sony Michelle.
I'm predicting the keel Harry second touchdown of the season and upon his return, Phillip Door set will get a touchdown tomorrow.
And to answer your question, Garrido Shake.
I believe the Patriots will go for it on fourth of its long field goals.
I've talked about this a couple of times this week, but how much do we regret all this crap that we talked about Stephen Gostkowski? When he's back next season? I will never say another bad word about that, man.
I'll tell you that much.
What a year for the Patriots kicking game.
So when we think about this Patriots game tomorrow, which players need to step up right, that's what we always think, which players need to step up, not necessarily in the sense that they haven't been playing well.
But who do we need to play the best? Obviously, stuff on.
Gilmore needs to play like his All Pro self tomorrow, because if he doesn't DeAndre, Hopkins could make the Patriots life miserable.
Jamie Collins needs to step up tomorrow, especially keeping to Shawn Watson in the pocket, not allowing him to get free and extend those plays with his legs.
They are they got a Sachem or they have to force him to throw.
The Texans offensive line has been absolutely brutal this year.
There's no reason that our linebackers and defensive end shouldn't be able to get to him.
Chase win. A ***** can step up and do it.
Tom Brady needs to step up and make passes.
And I'm telling you right now, I hate saying this.
Julian Edelman needs to step up and start holding onto the ball.
Probably the most reliable receiver we've ever had more reliable than Danny Amendola, more reliable than Wes Welker? Yeah, he doesn't have the speed of Randy Moss, but I think from a reliability level, Julian elements been the most.
He's been the man, and this season he has the most drops in the entire NFL now.
We discussed it a lot.
I think it has to do with his thumb.
I think it has to do with his shoulder, But right now we need to squirrel.
We need our man number 11 to step up and make those catches.
We need you, Coby Myers, to step up and continue doing what he can do and show what he can do.
We need him to have a repeat of the Dallas game, be there, be involved in the offense.
We need Josh McDaniels to step up and make good play calls.
Keeping Jacoby Meyers involved keeping the run game.
The Patriots need to establish the run game if they want to have success on offense.
Now I believe that this Patriots defense is good enough to carry them to the championship.
But if the offense wants to have success and make this run easier, because listen, guys, if the offense come gets it together, if the offense begins to look like the offense that for the 1st 8 weeks nine weeks of the season, if they look like the Tom Brady offenses we're so used to in New England, the Patriots will coast to Super Bowl 54 Coast.
I mean, if this was last year, this Texans game would be a burden to me because we got the chief's next week.
It be one that I'd be already be nervous about.
I'd already be thinking about Patrick Mahomes.
You know, the Chiefs have come to Gillette Stadium and beat the Patriots before now.
Did it with Alex Smith.
Not Patrick Mahomes.
But you know Andy Reid.
He seems to always play the Patriots.
Well, this season, I have no fear than the Kansas City Chiefs, and not because I think they're a bad team.
And I know some people are gonna start commenting on the Chiefs, and the Chiefs aren't a bad team.
Look at the reality.
They should have beat the Titans right there.
There's games, a loss, that they should have one.
We know that, but I'm not worried about them against his Patriots defense, not in the slightest.
So tomorrow is gonna be the big stepped over the offense to start showing what they can do, and I agree.
The rhino, the top 10 offenses, all the Patriots need the coast.
They don't need a top three, Top five.
It be fantastic.
I mean, that would just be That would be the icing on the cake, the cherry on top, whatever you want to call it.
We'll let the Patriots coast, and they're not that far away from it.
They're not that far away from it.
I figured, what, the 14 to 13 best offense in the league like we need a 10%.
We need a 10% increase by the offense.
That's it. Nothing significant.
And you watch how well this Patriots team looks, you know, and we've seen the Patriots offense to a lot of different types of offenses this year.
They've been passed happy run, happy.
Hurry up, all that kind of thing.
Which one do I think they should stick with? You know, And the reality is, I want to see.
I want to see the mix it up.
The Patriots offense, especially to begin this season as they were trying to establish their identity and identity they never really established.
I found them to be too predictable.
I found them to do too many things that defense's could just figure out quickly.
The most positive sign I've seen from the Patriots when they went to the hurry up offense against Baltimore.
Now I don't know if that was by design.
I don't know if that was by necessity because they drop.
They dropped, you know, 17 points or had 17 points dropped on them before the offense really got rolling, but I liked it, but the Dallas game really encouraged me the way they ran the ball.
I was so happy with how Sony Michelle move that ball and, you know it's only gonna get back.
I say Winds gonna have a better game This week ended last week, right? We know that the guy missed almost 1/2 the season.
You knew he was gonna have a game that he needed to come back.
What? I would like to see the dues.
The Patriots just run a balanced offense back.
And now look, the pieces air here, right things, their weight, right? Remember after the Baltimore game and Pats Nation was freaking out and saying that the patrons have done the through their finished, we'll never be able to beat.
The Ravens will never be able to beat the Chiefs whenever you feel able to beat the good teams, and I said the Patriots in a bad spot right now with Isaiah, win out, and I'm having to deal with Marshall Newhouse as the offensive lineman and all that kind of stuff.
It's all starting to come together, though.
McKeel Harry has two games under his belt, Jacoby Meyers is getting involved or sets coming back.
Mohammad Sanu is gonna be back.
Backed off from the running game is working and Sony Michelle can run the ball again.
It's all starting toe work and flow together, and this is a season when they haven't really been able to get James White that involved in the in the offense at all.
But now that they're starting to run now that things are coming together, I expect James White to be more involved in the game.
And finally, the Patriots should be able to run a balanced offense.
The last time they ran a balanced offense was against Miami week, too, because you've just been dealing with injury after injury after injury, they've been dealing with the carousel of wide receivers with Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon.
Then we bring Seenu in and all that kind of stuff.
The Patriots are still learning each other.
Tom Brady talked about a couple weeks ago.
The offense is so new, they're still getting used to each other.
The Patriots offenses in some cookie cutter offense like you're going to get around the league.
The Patriots offense is complex.
I think the Patriots have over 100 passing place.
I remember a couple years ago.
Tom Brady talked about that.
The Patriots have over, Ah, 100 passing place.
This is the time of year, though.
The Bill, Ballot Shack and Josh McDaniels They start to simplify things.
What did we do? Well, I think that they throw a lot at the wall to see what will stick.
And then they started simplifying things.
It was just after this time last year when Josh, when when Ballot Shack sat down with McDaniels.
We saw it into your job.
What do we do? Well, yeah, we want to throw the ball 40 times. Its not working.
What can we do? We can run the ball.
Suddenly, the Patriots become a ground and pound football team, and I'm watching you guys conversation here about Blunt, and it's funny.
I was just, I think I was talking to, um, I can remember now on Twitter, though.
We're talking about Mark Ingram and Mark Ingram is a guy that would rather gain one yard, then lose three trying to bounce to the outside.
And that's one thing Sony.
Michelle hasn't done well this year, and we saw a little bit against Dallas and I'm hoping to continue.
Just run the ball downhill, just run people over.
This is when I miss Corey Dillon or this is what I miss.
Look, Garret Blunt guys, I could just completely barrel over a defender, And I don't buy into the premise that some of the Patriot fans say that thing, that he can't barrel over a defender.
I don't buy that at all.
You know, there's a lot of good things happening with this offense, and I get asked all the time.
What makes me so optimistic that this Patriots offense is going to get better and really, I mean, it lives and dies with Tom Brady, right? Any time you have the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, you're always going to have an opportunity and always have a reason to be optimistic that things will get better.
You have the current Super Bowl M V P along with the four time Super Bowl. M V P.
You've got Philip Door set Super Bowl champion.
You've got Mohammed's the new Super Bowl finalists.
Well, remember, what's the new did to the team to do the Patriots during Super Bowl 51? I'm gonna talk about Damian Harris, because I'm gonna talk about a comment that I got on YouTube today.
And my response really came across like I was angry.
I was trying to have a discussion, but everything was so long, I decided was gonna address it tonight.
You know, Let's talk about it. We're there now.
So I got this this comment by, Ah, I forget his name.
But he usually, you know, he's a good guy.
I got no issues with him.
But here and I pair phrase because it was a long comment.
But the comment was, Is Damian Harris so bad that he can't get on the field? Is Juan Williams a bust? You know, are the Patriots this bad at drafting impactful players? And I was like, man, So I listed all the players that are on this current roster that Bill Belichick drafted.
Dont'a Hightower, Jamie Collins, Patrick Chung, Devin McCourty, Tom Brady knew Kiel Harry Sony.
Michelle Joe Tooni.
Shock Mason. Marcus Cannon.
You know David Andrews isn't here, but David Andrews, Jonathan Jones, James White, Julian Edelman.
There's a lot of impactful players on the Patriots right now, and I'm sure there's more that I'm missing.
I'm just, you know, Adam Butler is one chase win a *****.
Right? So let's I'm gonna start with the Jew Juan Williams thing.
First of all, how can you call John Williams the bus? The kids barely played.
Secondly, you know, and this was my comment to him.
Who does Juan Williams replaced right now? The Patriots.
Statistically, this is, in my opinion, this isn't me saying as a Patriot fan, and this is the truth.
Statistically, the Patriots have the best past defense in the NFL.
Who's he gonna replace? John Williams is not going to replace stuff on Gilmore.
He's not gonna replace J.
Jackson, an undrafted free agent.
I know he wasn't drafted, but there's another impactful player.
He's not going to replace Jonathan Jones.
I don't think he replaces Jason McCord e.
He's not going to replace Devin McCourty.
He's not going to replace um drawn Harmon.
Possibly Patrick Chung of Chung is really injured and can't go for the year, but I think he'll be fine.
There's nowhere to play Jawan Williams.
That's the issue.
So I think this is way last about.
John Williams is a player, and when they drafted him when they drafted him, I wasn't on SportsCastr yet.
But when they drafted John Williams, I talked about Dewan.
Williams was a project.
John Williams is wasn't the most athletically gifted corner in the NFL draft, but he was seen as the smartest corner in the NFL draft, and I thought that's the perfect type of player to play on the Patriots.
The smartest cornerback, possibly they referred to him as the smartest player in the draft, so let him learn how to be in the NFL.
Let him use his brain, and he will come in next season or the season after, depending on what happens with this secondary and even like I'm seeing Rhinos comment here, You know, Chung could use a week Thio.
He'll absolutely he could, but it's not gonna be John Williams.
It's gonna beat Iran Harmon.
That moves into the strong safety position.
The Patriots don't play a lot of double safety or three safeties on the field.
They usually play to a strong safety and a free safety drawn.
Harmon will move into that strong safety position, and if Jason McCord is back, he'll move into the safety role over John Williams.
The patriotssecondary is so deep, I just, you know, and yeah, red shirted him.
Neither Red shirting him.
It's the perfect ****ysis, and that's the same thing that they're doing with Damian Harris.
It's not uncommon for a New England Patriot running back to miss the first year off their career with the R Mr first season and just sit and watch it happen with Shane Marine.
It happened with James White, and, you know, one of the exceptions of Sony.
Michelle and I said that in the question that came back to me is why Sony Michelle the exception and he's nothing special on Bubble bubble blind.
I just and that was probably the only time that I felt any bit of, you know, in the in the stomach was like Come on the big is different.
Michelle is a first round draft pick.
Damian Harris is 1/3.
Your first round draft picks are expected to be starters their first year.
Anything after that? You know, maybe the second round unless you're drafting for the future.
Because the NFL draft is split between two things it's drafting for now and drafting for the future.
Some positions you draft for now.
Chase win a ***** wasn't now Sony.
Michelle wasn't now.
Isaiah Win was actually a future draft pick last year because you had, um, what's the Trump round Brown or Williams Trump round? So the Patriots had good droppings that Jake Bailey is an impactful player that the Patriots drafted.
So at this time, I didn't get it, and I get that People are, I don't know, worried about the 10 and one Patriots.
You know, I got into it a little bit with a guy on on Patriots Global's comments this week, and Patriots Global's video was fine.
He was talking about fixing the run game.
I don't think the run games and bat is a bad A shape is is he does, but it's subjective.
But men to question this year's draft is crazy.
I mean, we walked away from this draft, I think, collectively, and said this was the best draft pick of Bill Bala checks 10 year.
And that's a draft that he drafted.
Tom Brady, you know, and I don't understand this whole.
They don't draft impactful players Rob Gronkowski with an impactful player, was he not? Aaron Hernandez was an impactful player.
Vince Will Fork wasn't it was, ah, impactful player.
Malcolm Mitchell was one of the keys to the Patriots winning the Super Bowl in 2016.
And I mean, it goes on and on and on. Drawed mail.
Chandler Jones, Nate solder.
You know, we can't let concerns, and I don't.
I'm not getting down on anybody who's concerned over the offense because I can understand it.
I'm a little bit more optimistic than a lot of people.
I get that just in general when it comes to the Patriots, because I learned my lesson in 2014 when I doubted them, and I promised I would never do it again.
I said the day I stopped trusting Tom Brady and Bill Belichick was the day Tom Brady retired and I probably will never be in an opera chance, right? Don't Trust Bill. Ballot Shack.
I learned that lesson in the blowout against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
I will never make that mistake again, but I don't get upset if people are concerned and Rhino's gotta write the offenses concerning.
But it's mitigated by the defense and, obviously our our special teams, which is bawling out to right now.
Yes, if the defense was playing average, this offense would be totally exposed.
But a part of me believes, too.
If this defense is being exposed, we'd see a different level of Tom Brady.
It's just like Super Bowl 53.
If the Rams would've scored a touchdown, it would have changed the game.
Yeah, Tom Brady would have got more points.
You remember Stephen A.
Smith saying it? Tom Brady scores when the Patriots have to score and I loved and I can't remember who said it, but he talked about the Super Bowl ring.
So let's pretend that this is ring number seven here, right? It says world champions.
It doesn't say world champions had a tough game, one ugly.
All it says is world champions.
And that's all that end up ends up mattering at the end of the season, right? All that matters is how the Patriots, due in February, You know, Bill Pallet.
Jack likes to say Football season starts after Thanksgiving.
Well, it's now after Thanksgiving, so the Texans gotta be worried.
I'm a little different.
I believe that the Patriots and the Patriots alone their season starts in January.
The the season is the warm up.
The season is to figure things out.
Maybe you could say week 16 and 17 or the beginning of the seasons where the Patriots season, when they're finding out the final details of what their offense and defense they're gonna look like.
Why do you think the Patriots games in January and near the end of the season elevate and get higher and better? It's not that the Patriots have been saving anything.
It's not that Suddenly Tom Brady plays at a different level.
I hear that a lot.
All Brady plays at a different level.
No, they played the same level all the time, but by the time January rolls around, they have the whole thing figured out.
That's why I say the season starts in January, possibly the end of December. Christmas.
Bala check says Thanksgiving.
I say Christmas, you know, we remember those losses to the Titans and the Steelers.
I remember the sky was falling and I went on YouTube after that Titans game and I went insane.
I roasted Brady.
I roasted the defense.
I roasted the coaching.
I was so ****ed after that Titans game.
In my time as a Patriots fan, I had not seen a bigger, pathetic display that it wasn't that Titans game.
So for those of you who say, I don't, I do criticize the Patriots.
And then suddenly they blow out the Buffalo Bills.
They blow out the New York Jets.
They blow out the San Diego Chargers and divisional round.
They have the shoot out in the second half against Kansas City.
They beat the Rams ring ceremony.
That's what the Patriots do.
The Patriots get it together at the end of the season.
This is all fine tuning.
This is like training camp.
It's competitive training camp, getting them ready for January.
The Patriots? No.
All they got to do is get into the playoffs because last year proved they can win on the road, right? That's what we heard all last season.
The Patriots can't win the A F C Championship on the road.
Yeah, they did it to the Steelers, but that was back in 2000 and one.
They can't do it again.
Well, we walked into Arrowhead Stadium right into the kingdom owned by the Chiefs, one of the most hostile hardest places.
The play on the road and the Patriots shut out Patrick Mahomes, the Wonder boy for an entire half.
And then the Patriots won the coin toss, which I know drives everybody crazy.
But we won the game and we won the Super Bowl, and we're 10 and one and Rita shake.
You're getting to my final point that I wanted to make tonight.
Tomorrow we all gotta be and we've been cheering against.
I've been cheering against them all season, but tomorrow we gotta be the biggest San Francisco 40 Niners fans because one loss, one Baltimore Los makes the rest of the regular season almost irrelevant for the Patriots because after the Houston game tomorrow, they have one tough game left against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Then we get to play Andy Dalton, who's the starting quarterback of the Bangles.
Again, we got a tough one against Buffalo at home, not as tough as the Chiefs and then a cakewalk against Brian for a floor, as in the in New England.
So a Baltimore los pretty much guarantees home field advantage for the Patriots.
Right now, we're still in a situation where a loss puts us in second place in the A F C.
I want to see Bosa going crazy.
I want to see jittery G B Jimmy G because this is really Jimmy's first big test in Seattle.
He wants to prove that he's a legit quarterback.
That he's he's worth the money they gave him.
Tomorrow's the day to do it, man, not to help the Patriots out.
And fellas, ladies, that is it for me today.
I know it's only half an hour, but it's Saturday.
I'm really sorry for not doing it last night.
I was just so tired, actually fell asleep for a bit.
I woke up right at 10 o'clock.
It took me almost 45 minutes to get any energy to even get off my chair, and I just I couldn't do it.
But I will see you all tomorrow night.
I hope you all tune in for the play by Ray.
If you can't make it, make sure you tune into the post game.
If you can't make that, make sure you tune in Monday.
Just come when you can.
Nick Burrito Shake No Joe, No Bobby.
All the all Thank you so much for tuning in today.
You got the day off Tomorrow.
Tomorrow's Monday, today's game day for Rhino.
It's already Sunday.
He's got the day off so we can get up at three o'clock in the morning and watch the game.
He's good to go old ladies and gentlemen.
