everybody. Welcome back.
This is Alex from unwrap sports here to break down NFL Week 12 Sunday morning and afternoon games.
First game that we had on that we have on the docket here is the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Cincinnati Bengals.
Seal's got the victory, 16 10.
It was very poetic for me, as a Steelers fan of finally see the hopefully the Rudolph Eric kind of clothes out.
He had really struggled he in these last couple games just the way that you know Mike Tomlin, Address it in the media this past week.
He has been killing us in games, and I think he holds onto the ball a little too long.
The game is still way too fast for him.
He hasn't really adapted to the NFL speed, and I think it really shows.
And I just don't think he's a starting caliber quarterback at the moment.
Does that potential possibly Am I, for one going to root for him to drive personally? Believe in him? No, I don't really see that much to really believe in Mason Rudolph moving forward.
It's now that Devlin Hodges, chauffeur for the Steelers, to kind of lead him moving forward.
But it was a very rough game because prior to definitely high, just taken over a quarterback, you know, the often struggled mightily to get the ball down the field.
You know, the running game itself, you know, had ah, you know, good production from Benny Snell.
But, you know, just Mason.
Rudolph was eight for 16 85 yards and an interception.
Ah, he just definitely has not been able to move.
Move the ball well in his time at quarterback.
And, you know, for the Bangles, you know they're going back to Andy Dalton.
Could they be trying to kind of persuade A.
Green? I don't know. It's one of those.
Both teams were, like in very tough spot.
But for the Steelers, they're currently six and five entering the last part of the season.
They have the sea.
He had the Cleveland Browns this week.
They have the airs on the Cardinals the following week than Buffalo Bills, Jets and Ravens.
Very tough schedule.
Back when they were one and four, I said they would go 10 and six looks very possible in the 19 7 10 and six range.
If we're being very optimistic on some of these games where it could really go either way with, like the Cardinals, Ravens, the Jets, you know those air games that you know.
The opposite team could really capture that victory.
But for the Steelers, it was very concerning to see Mason Rudolph struggle and, you know, hopefully for them.
Devlin Hodges can perform well and kind of get them in a situation where they can play well.
Ah, Jack the Beast.
Thanks for joining the broadcast.
Next game we have is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Atlanta Falcons.
Buccaneers got the victory, 35 22.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense has been very hot and cold.
It really definitely goes with how Jameis Winston performs, and, you know, he's definitely a gun slinger by every form and definition of it.
But I just think this Tampa Bay team is, You know, unless Bruce Arians really thinks he can convert Winston into a, uh, better quarterback, I think it's, ah, situation where I think it Bruce Arians is looking towards the future would be with a new quarterback at the helm.
But, you know, I think Bruce Arians, with this time with the cold you know, he might think he can sal***e him and kind of turned the things around for him.
But, you know, he has a lot of potential, but he has, you know, failed to do much with it.
But for the Falcons, you know, they were coming off a couple games where the defense played very well.
Matt Ryan and company, You know that the offense was was scoring very well in those 1st 2 games, uh, back from the by a week.
But, you know, the kind of came back to Earth.
This Falcons team is definitely, you know, lacking a lot of defensive talent.
You know that We've been having trouble getting production at the running at the running back position.
Devante Freeman, you know, came off a season ending foot injury that could be possibly lingering.
Maybe it's why he's not, you know, breaking out runs like he was a season before.
But you know, both of these teams air teams that I think could be very interesting to watch.
As you know, both these teams, as they finished the season off, face possible contenders.
As you know, the Buccaneers face the Indianapolis Colts, too, you know, just are on the outside of the division for the F C South.
They face the Texans.
You know, that could be two matchups where they could, you know, if their offense is running out, Cylinders could really interfere with their playoff race.
You know, Falcons.
They have the 40 Niners.
That's probably the only team and the Saints where they would be worried about.
But, you know, very good performance by Jameis Winston.
But, you know, he did turn the ball over just his calling card.
When it comes to playing the quarterback position, next game we have is the Denver Broncos at the Buffalo Bills.
Bills got that victory 20 to 3 for the Broncos.
I think if Locke can get can get healthy enough to start this upcoming week would be the best case for them to see what they have at quarterback.
You know, they've seen Alan play, you know.
They see what they had was Flaco.
They gotta see what they have would lock, you know that this offense has really struggled.
I mean, this team has always just been struggling.
I wonder if Vic Fangio is the guy to kind of turn things around here, You know, with the defense that you know did lose Bradley Chub.
They haven't really done much on defense to make noise.
You know, it looks like you know, their cornerback, Harris.
Maybe on the way out when the season's over, it's just a very tough situation for them.
You know, the running game hasn't really been there where last year it was kind of like their strong suit with their 12 punch of Lindsay and Freeman.
But for the Buffalo Bills, they played exceptionally well, you know.
They're currently eight and three.
They have a very tough schedule for the remainder of the season.
They do face the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
They face the Ravens the week after the base stealers who have a very good defense, but, you know, questionable offense.
Then they face the Patriots and a very lukewarm kind of getting hot Jets team.
But I have been very impressed with the Buffalo Bills.
They've come up with victories, you know, when they've needed to and really put themselves in a position to win a majority of their games against the Patriots.
They really kept the Patriots offense and check.
I think this team has the potential to really finish strong.
And, you know, I actually have them beating the Cowboys in the upcoming week, but they've definitely got a lot of good project production from Brown from Wait a minute.
Yeah, from John Brown, I think the way I mean, he has consistently been scoring touchdowns in recent weeks.
You know he's got two touchdowns in Miami, was one in Denver.
He's really become a strong player for, I mean, a strong receiver.
Forde, Josh, Alan and I think that really bodes well for them.
And, you know, Singletary's really embracing the role of being lead back.
You know, 21 carries 106 yards and you know Frank or is a great complimentary piece to that was 65 yards on the ground rushing.
This team has strong defense.
They have a very strong running game.
They have the potential to be very dynamic through the air, and Josh Alan's ability to run and be a good runner at that really gives his team a good outlook for the rest of the season.
Next game we have here is the New York Giants at the Chicago Bears.
Bears got the victory, 1914.
Before the Giants, What looked to be like a very encouraging, you know, change of pace with going to Daniel Jones.
He's really become a turnover machine.
Whether it be fumbles, interceptions, you know, he consistently is getting caught up, and I think that's part of getting acclimated with the speed of the game, but right in the mix of it for the top three pick, which didn't necessarily look like that when the season was in the 1st 2/4 in the first half of the season.
But, yeah, they've definitely dropped the ball a lot and a lot of the games there.
Their offense is kind of faltered.
But, you know, for the Bears, this was a big victory.
I think for the Bears, you know, can. They went out.
I don't think so.
But you know, Travis Kikkan somehow turn it around and kind of even show a glimmer of what his Pro Bowl season was.
I mean, Montgomery has been unable to get anything going on the ground like they just need to revamp this whole offense, especially if they don't make the playoffs this year, which I definitely don't think they will.
But Alan Robinson has really emerged as a strong receiver for this team.
Six receptions, 131 yards, one touchdown and really had a consistent streak of games, even when he had when they had the back of Chase Daniel in there.
But for the Bears, it's It's very concerning to see the way that this defense has kind of fallen off, and it's really put, ah, bright light on the offense and how they've struggled.
And, you know, for Travis Key, I mean, it's It's one of those situations where, you know, if you don't start showing some glimmer of hope where, you know, you kind of justify that high pick.
You had your starting to kind of get one foot out the door because, you know, for young coaches, you know Maggie's.
I believe it's his third season at the helm for the Chicago Bears.
You know you don't wanna tie yourself to a quarterback that you know has been inconsistent, as can be in the last season and 1/2 and I know he had a strong showing this past year.
But the way he's played this season has been just embarrassing on Lee because he wasn't a probable consideration.
You know, he did have a big game this past year where, you know, I think he lit up the Eagles.
But this season, he just doesn't look like he's being aggressive.
He's not able to read, go through his reads in a progressive manner that, you know, can put this team in a position to win.
And you know, for that I think Mitchell too risky.
And I know that he had said that he's been turning off the TV because of all the negative things going on around was being said about the team.
But if he doesn't get it together, I could see the Chicago Bears trying to be aggressive and, ah, look for a new quarterback for the offense.
Next I have is the Miami Dolphins at the Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland Browns Continue to, you know, continued.
Their torrid pace is they're trying to fight for that playoff card spot.
That wild card spot at the moment.
They are five and six.
Seals are currently in the six spot there, six and five.
You know a lot can change this week with, you know, the tiebreaker going on their favor if they can get this next victory against the Steelers.
But for the Dolphins, I've been very impressed with the way that they've performed, you know, for a team that had been completely just demoralizing the first couple of weeks, you know, completely shut out.
I think something has to be said of the coaching staff.
You know, new head coach.
This team doesn't have any reason to try.
The fact that they're even somewhat putting up a fight is impressive.
I know it sounds kind of weird to say it like that, but I just think the Dolphins could be building towards something if they're able to do this with the pieces they do have.
I know if it's Patrick's help me, not the answer.
Josh Rosen hasn't really been given the opportunity to toe succeed in this offense, But I think the Dolphins, you know, if they really commit to the rebuild and their coach, uh, continues this, this getting through this type of effort from his team.
I think the Dolphins and about 23 years could be good, but very impressed by them.
Scored 24 points against the Cleveland Browns defense set you know is without Myles Garrett.
They just released a defensive tackle prior to the game, but very impressive for them.
I think, to even put up 24 points against the Browns, I know Brown's defense hasn't really performed all that well this season, but very impressive nonetheless are.
But for the Browns, 41 points in a season where they really struggled to score very encouraging Odell Beckham gone to the ends of Dr Icelanders really kind of forming that additional chemistry with Baker Mayfield, with their second season together.
I think you know that could be something that could be very scary in the next couple weeks, depending on how they you know where they were. They pivot.
If they do get the victory next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Next game is the Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints.
Saints got that victory, 34 31.
Now for the Panthers offense.
Christian McCaffrey, 64 yards on the ground when one touchdown rushing, nine receptions, 69 yards and a touchdown.
I mean, he's definitely Boat V guy here, and Cow Allen played very well.
23 for 36 256 yards three touchdowns.
You know, a very impressive performance.
Kind of a bounce back from his a couple of weeks where he struggled.
No, Drew Brees look great.
30 for 39 accurate just on brand for how he's been playing.
Uh, the TV is Murray.
Seven carries for 64 yards a touchdown.
Kamar 11 carries, 54 yards, getting involved in the air game, the aerial attack.
Nine receptions for 48 yards.
And Michael Thomas just being the epitome of consistency.
10 receptions, 101 yards, one touchdown.
I just think for the Saints.
You know, Jared cooks kind of stepped up over the last couple of weeks.
He really struggled early on to kind of get himself open and kind of getting itself more involved in this offense.
But for the for the Saints, you know, to have Drew Brees healthy have tomorrow, you know, getting back into the rhythm of the game again.
You know, he was out for about a game or two and Latavius Murray running the ball the way he has ran it.
It's just looks so great for them, and I think they're kind of setting themselves up for a good run for the upcoming playoffs and for the Panthers.
You know, they just keep on dropping games or five and six.
I think you could just take a fork in them.
The NFC races way tighter than the A F C race, where I think both NFC Wild cards have eight wins and actually just double check that just for confirmation.
But for the NFC You two.
Yet the Seahawks are 92 Vikings or eight and three in the next team.
After that is the Rams at six and five.
So they've really kind of, you know, gotten out of this race.
And I think you know, they got to start, maybe trained some new things.
I think that when you're a team that has a lot of potential, you have, you know, an M V P candidate and Christian McCaffrey.
You kind of have to start playing around with the offense, you know, definitely continue getting the bottom, Caffrey, but trying to see, you know, if you have a running back on the team, that could be a good change of pace with him or seeing you know what else they have.
Besides deejay Maurin Curtis Samuel in lines of wide receiver is if there's any tight ends that you know have potential, maybe get them or involved.
That's kind of how I feel that team should handle once they're out of the playoffs on the outside looking in because you do ultimately have toe bounce back and you've got to see what you have on the roster in order to build off of that for the next upcoming season.
Very surprising victory.
New York Jets B B Open Raiders, 34 3 Surprising.
Based on just the Raiders being a very surprised, surprising team the season they definitely exceeded the expectations I have for them.
You know they've definitely had a good performances by Darren Waller.
Good performances by Tyler William Tyrone Williams.
Good performances by Josh Jacobs.
This team has all the weapons to beat good, but it's just that defense, I think, is gonna definitely be their Achilles heel.
Uh, it's definitely gonna be a key factor in their upcoming divisional game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
I just think for the Oakland Raiders it was just ah loss.
You really couldn't afford, you know, they definitely had an opportunity to kind of cut themselves.
Ah, little bit closer into the division with the with the Kansas City Chiefs and Chiefs were seven and four, the Raiders or six and five.
So I mean, that would have been a great degree to have him going into going to face began.
City Chiefs being at the same record, you know, make that be the game that who ultimately takes the lead.
Kind of like the way that the Colts and Texans were this past week.
But I just think that for the Raiders, you know, maybe you could be running the ball, you know, holding the time of possession.
That has to be a priority with this defense, you know, being so volatile.
And for the Jets, you know.
Sam Darnold, 20 for 29 315 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions.
It's just been, Ah, very hot and cold season for him.
He's still a very young quarterback, 22 years old, but he has shown the ability to be able to get the most out of his teammates.
You know Robbie Anderson.
Four receptions, 86 yards and a touchdown.
Crowder is one of his favorite targets.
You know, wasn't really getting going in this first game, two catches for 18 yards and in this game.
But, you know, just great performances.
You know that Griffin has really stepped up in his time as the starting tight end.
With Herndon going out for the year.
I think for the Jets, it's just continuing performing on offense.
I think that's their strong suit.
They definitely have, Ah, couple key pieces.
I think CJ Mosley still out.
You know, Gemma Adams is a perennial Pro Bowler, All Pro safety for this team, you know, they had all the pieces.
I think Sam Darnold going down to the time he did with his mano.
And you know, the danger he was in about getting hit and hurting, hurting his kidney was, Ah, a major blow to this team.
But, you know, definitely something that I think is encouraging is the fact that Donald back, you know, he had a couple of rough games, but he has been able to bounce back.
Next game I have here is the Detroit Lines at the Washington Redskins.
Redskins got the victory, 1916.
See that the you know the Redskins score a touchdown, but it was on a kick return, and it's just kind of weird to see.
You know, Haskins continue to kind of struggle to get things going with this team.
You know, 13 for 2956 yards, one interception.
He's still not really connecting with Terry McLaurin.
I know he did have fire receptions for 72 yards, but he had 12 targets, so there were seven throws where they possibly were.
All they were either overthrown, just ah, lot of which you would think wouldn't necessarily be the case with them, you know, playing in college.
But again, the speed of the NFL game is a lot different from a lot of different quarterbacks that I've heard speak about it.
You know, the game starts to slow down once you get it.
And for Haskins, I think he's still just in that trial period.
Ah, and for guys 10 carry 32 yards, got himself a reception for six yards.
I think he's a breakout candidate.
I know a lot of people were very wary on him because of his two consecutive injuries that cost him a lot of games in his 1st 2 seasons in the NFL but I think guys has the real potential to be a dynamic back for this team.
I think it could be a situation where it's like the Buffalo Bills.
They have Devon Singletary running back.
That's kind of taken the full, you know, workload.
And then having Adrian Peterson kind of be like the Frank Gore off coming in, getting, you know, 10 plus carries and kind of changing the pace.
You know, keeping the defense, you know, honest with each running back.
And I think they have the potential to build something if they can fix their offensive line in the off season.
But, you know, guys, I think, would be someone to definitely look at over the next couple of weeks.
I definitely am a believer of the way he has ran ball in L S U, and I think that definitely will translate to the NFL once he gets himself going.
You know, it takes a couple games for running backs to kind of get acclimated when they haven't played in a while.
We saw that with damage.
I saw that with Dream Hunt a little bit.
We did see that with Melvin Gordon on the Los Angeles Chargers.
So keep an eye on guys moving forward.
And for the Lions, Crisco got hurt.
Now they're looking to possibly have their third string quarterback.
If I did read the update, correct, they're gonna have 1/3 string quarterback for the Thanksgiving football game against the Bears.
Next game I have here is the Seattle Seahawks at the Philadelphia Eagles.
79 victory for the Seahawks.
Russell Wilson didn't have a quote unquote n v p caliber day, but you know did his job 30 25 200 yards passing, touchdown.
But I think the story here was reshot pennies, breakout, game 129 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
Something that I think that he hadn't really done this season kind of fell out of favor.
Wasn't really getting involved in the game.
But you know a good step for them.
And I think that if Penny can really get going, it really gives them another, you know, weapon in this offense toe.
You know, add to this M v. P.
Uh, let offense, you know, tie locket.
One reception, 35 yards.
You know, e don't think that's going to really worry about.
I think that had more to do with the way the game was going.
But, you know, tie locket, you know, is going, you know he is gonna bounce back.
I don't expect him to only come out with one reception this next game for the Eagles.
Carson wins 286 yards, One pass touchdown, two interceptions.
Um, besides really hurts and Ward, really? And, um, no one really did much besides Earth's 12 receptions that anyone yards and a touchdown.
Well, it's just so funny.
Have the whole narrative has been all season about the Eagles, and there were struggling wide receivers and the lack of production there.
And, you know, I think a lot of that definitely has to go to the receiver is because I've seen a lot of people speculate that it's Carson Wentz.
You know he's not able to perform with this team because Nick Foles wants trouble with some of these guys.
But I think that's totally different.
That was like two years difference.
A lot can change and players abilities in their chemistry together, So definitely not something I would throw the blame on theon Carson Wentz.
But, you know, for the Eagles, they really have a couple pivotal games.
Definitely gotta handle business.
Take care of the Miami Dolphins this upcoming week and do what they can to keep themselves within reach of the Dallas Cowboys.
Next game we have here is the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Tennessee Titans.
Nick full second game bag.
He definitely wasn't able to get them into the end zone very much through the air.
At least 272 yards.
2032 of 48 for not for not round the ball well, got two touchdowns on the ground.
You know he is kind of getting back into the game speed.
I know he missed a couple of weeks with that collarbone injury, but I think for the Jaguars are kind of the outside looking in as well.
So I think it's just one of those situations where you're going to see what they have with Foles is mensch.
You gonna be such a player? They want a pawn off, get more assets, or do they think they can build with him? If fools, you know, doesn't pan out? Tannehill's played exceptionally well.
259 yards, two touchdowns.
Derrick Henry has really blossomed over the last 12 13 games.
16 games since he did blow up against the Jaguars at the end of the season last year.
Ah, he had 19 carries, 159 yards, two touchdowns.
No, Ryan Tannehill ran it in for two touchdowns as well.
I think Tannehill is really performed well in this Titans offense.
He's definitely done what he's needed to do to put this team in position to win week after week since taking over for Marcus Mariota.
And I think this offense, maybe fitting him or in the way that he's kind of running around a little bit more.
I think that opening up his skill set like that has really put him in a good space.
And you know, he's got the most out of those young Tennessee receivers and I think for the Titans, and it says a lot because Mario to really dumped it a lot to Delaney Walker, who was currently now been placed on I R.
And you know this Titan Steam could be a one that could really sneak into the playoffs.
I mean, they're currently six and five, You know, on the outside looking in.
But they are, you know, one victory, and one still allows from possibly getting in.
Very interesting team to look at as they are hot down the stretch.
The Abbas, the Dallas Cowboys at the New England Patriots 39 victory in a rainy, cold game in New England.
For this game, I think it was very lackluster of the Cowboysoffense.
The way that they performed another weather plays a big factor in that.
But for Zeke, you know, 86 yards on the ground, you know, 4.
1 yards averaging on the carries.
But for Prescott, you know, 19 for 33 212 yards. Touchdown.
Marquis Cooper held without a catch.
Just a great performance by the New England Patriots defense.
And you know, it's it's crazy because I think I saw sat saying that the Dallas Cowboys haven't beat a team with a winning record, and I think that kind of just paints the perfect picture for this season for them as they really I had a really bunch of hot games against some of the weaker teams and then you know they at their 34 game winning losing streak down the line, where they lost the Jets team that got completely exposed by the Patriots the following week.
It was a game where I think it's going to start getting a little hot for Jason. Gary.
I know you know.
I know the owner hasn't really put a lot of pressure on him, but I think with his lack of production in the way, you know, that team has performed not being able to perform in the playoffs.
Maybe not getting into the playoffs for a couple of years.
I think for the Cowboys, it's it's Ah, make or break season If Jason Garrett wants to continue coaching for the Dallas Cowboys, Um, but, yeah, it would be interesting to see them tomorrow going against the Buffalo Bills, a very strong contender in this F C conference.
Cyber that that is it for this stream.
