This is Alex from unwrap sports here to break down Sunday Night Football for NFL Week 13 1st I want to start off by saying what a game it was.
I definitely did not expect it to be as lopsided as it was, knowing that, you know, the Green Bay Packers, a team with a such a potent offense.
Going against a strong defense was going to be what I thought was gonna be an impressive test to see.
You know how good the Packers offense was and how good the pack the 40 Niner defense was and the victor and this one was the four manage defense.
But what I wanted to kind of address about the Packers offense, Packers, lack of wide receiver production behind Adams is very concerning to me, and I think it makes them one of the weaker teams in the long run for a playoff push.
The Green Bay Packers.
You know, Davante Adams, Malia.
If I remember correctly, he has barely scored his first touchdown of the season, and that's insane when you think about it, because Davante Adams has just such a knack of getting open and he has an ability to really, you know, make plays and be a dynamic threat.
But this season, you know, he didn't mean that.
He didn't miss a couple of games with the turf toe, but he hasn't been able to get in the end zone.
You know, it's really been the Aaron Jones show for the Green Bay Packers.
Kind of like a kind of ah ah less used McCaffrey style where, like Aaron Jones was a key contributor on the receiving end for multiple games.
He's been running the ball very well, one of the highlights for the Green Bay Packers season, because I feel like over the past couple of years they not really had a strong presence at running back, and I think Aaron Jones is really stepped into that role and embraced it and, you know, taking full advantage of all the opportunities he's been given in this new offense.
But I think for me, the most concerning thing about the Green Bay Packers is their lack of wide receiver production.
You know, Lazar looked like he was gonna be very encouraging at some points.
You know, Geronimo Allison is that of moments where he's kind of shined.
But, you know, he's also fallen into the abyss of, you know, creamy Packer receiver roster, you know.
Ah, Valda Scandal Ng had an opportunity when Davante Adams went down to really make a name for himself, and none of them were able to really step up either.
I thank for joining the Stream for me.
I just think for the Green Bay Packers the fact that you know they haven't had any receiver really step up to be a clear number two is very concerning because this offense is predicated on moving the ball downfield through the air.
I think Aaron Rodgers, you know, over the last couple years has had, you know, plentiful wealth in the receiving department, where at one point, Davante Adams was the number three receiver.
You know, they had Jordan.
Nelson had he has had him.
He has had, um, blanket on his name right now, but he's had multiple receivers that have been able to really step up.
But so far it's only been Davante Adams, which just makes their passing game so one dimensional.
And I think that's why LaFleur's offense has really struggled.
And it's for in its first season.
I know he's an offensive guru, but you know you can't really have production.
If on Lee, one of your receivers is really breaking out and even Jimmy Graham.
I mean, he's really been a a shell of himself ever since he left the Saints or or was traded away from the Saints.
And I just think for the Packers, you know, they're just such a one dimensional team where it's like you can basically shut, you know, put a man in the box for Aaron Jones.
Not that that necessarily will shut him out.
But a man in the box for him, you know, have a corner with with safety help on Adams, and you basically neutralizes offense.
And you know, some of the receivers, like Geronimo Allison and Market is valid a scandal and you know they'll have a game or two.
But they have yet to string a couple consistent performances.
Even Lazard had a couple had a game where he looked like very encouraging to kind of take over that number two spot.
But none of these receivers were ableto get that, you know, get that consistent performance and I think That's what's really hindering this offense and definitely made a huge difference for them.
Ah, against the San Francisco 40.
Niners would have probably one of the strongest defenses in the league, and, you know, they continue their domination.
They had five sacks on Aaron Rodgers, consistently were in his face, didn't really let him settle in.
And I think for the 40 Niners, they definitely proven they're a top tier defense in this league.
You know, the foreigners defense has the ability to carry this team, but the offense isn't, you know, performing well.
I'm just very impressed with this team.
And and Nick Bosa has just been a revelation of a first round draft pick.
You know, he was hurt early on, and he's just come out and been a real professional.
Performed very well.
He's had a lot of moments, you know, with that Baker Mayfield situation, he seems to really have a good support from his teammates, So he definitely is a positive locker room influence as faras.
You know, the face value, the title part of it and it's just been an impressive run for the 400 defense and, you know, I think with Richard Sherman kind of stepping up and kind of bouncing back awfully tough year where I think he was just still kind of recovering.
This team is very, very stacked on defense, and it's it's a shame that I believe Kwon Alexander is hurt.
So you know he's not in there.
But, you know, they have such a strong defense, top to bottom.
I think you know that defense alone with their strong running game.
And you know, Garoppolo playing a lot better down the line is just gonna put this team in a great situation where, you know, who knows? It could be a Ravens 40 Niner repeats durable.
But you know, that leads to my next point grapple.
Oh continues to improve.
And if you guys, you know, have listening my streams before I have, you know, being all been saying all season, Garoppolo has yet to have to win a game for the 40 Niners.
I said that very early on and early on in this, you know, in in the last four weeks, you know where the running game wasn't doing as hot.
You know, that's four games already where the running game wasn't there to kind of help him, and it's three out of three of those four times he performed.
Got his team in the end zone.
You know, he really got things going with Kiddo.
Mr Couple games, you know, he was a huge loss in the passing game.
To not have him in there.
Got six receptions, 129 yard touchdown Depot Samuel continues to be used in different capacities.
You know, he only got to recession two receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.
I think he would have been utilized Maur if it wasn't so much of a blowout.
But I'm just very impressed with Rob Lowe and the way he's kind of improved as the season has gone on.
I know he kind of had a couple of struggling moments against the Seahawks, but you know, this team was gonna go as far as Grapple takes him.
Their running game, you know, has had a few moments where they're not at their best, you know.
But they had over 100 yards rushing, you know, most sure is their third running back, and he stepped in for Brit and really took advantage of a of A Packer's defense.
That was, Ah, very well exposed in. You know, Coleman.
But you know, even hey, Heat was having trouble getting the ground game going.
And I mean, they have Jeff Wilson running off for 25 yards.
Ah is long over 25 on two carries.
I just think this team is very stacked.
They have a very strong group of receivers.
You know, they have Emmanuel Sanders, that veteran presidents, they have Debo Samuel.
You know, that young receiver that's very flexible on the way he could be used.
George Kendall is a force that tight end.
This team is gonna go as far as Garoppolo takes them.
And that's that.
Maybe what haunts the 40 Niners if they, you know, aren't performing well or they get knocked out in the playoffs in the first round.
I think you'd be at the hands of Garoppolo because at the end of the day, they traded a lot of capital, gave him a lot of money.
Thank you for joining the stream away or highway, and I think Garoppolo is definitely, you know, progressing in the right direction.
He's playing a lot better down the stretch.
It's just so encouraging for the 40 Niners to see their quarterback, you know, beef efficient.
He was 14 of 2070% on his apathy, 253 yards through the air, two touchdowns.
He just is looking more and more comfortable, you know, early on in the season and in the preseason, it was very concerning because of how he was turning the ball over, how he didn't look comfortable in the pocket and to see what that was at that point of the season to now he is just playing his butt off and really not being the weak link of this team, even though at the moment I kind of say he is.
But that's not a detriment to him.
I just think all other facets of this team is just performing that much better.
But Grab Lo is three and one in games he's had to win through the air and something I think is very encouraging for this team down the line and something interesting to watch as they have a couple
