321 Oh, we are live.
What's up? Our body till over here.
Uh, fili influences dot com Fox sports that gambler, Uh, 70 sixers win, and ah, it obviously wasn't easy.
Fashion should've been easy Fashion, right? Ah, they started off strong one of 91 before I get a lot of talk about a lot to talk about people I want to hear.
I want to hear these opinions out there because I'm gonna give my my take on this game.
Ah, there was a lot of things in this game that I seen that I didn't like.
Ah, you know, even though we won this game, there's still a lot of things that need to be cleaned up A lot of things from, Ah, dumb, ridiculous Fouls from spacing on the court, from lazy play to fatigue, rotations, lackadaisical effort.
There's so many things I want to talk about.
Guy, um it was nice to see just quick, quick recap, and then we'll get in the each thing individually.
Ah, well, let more people get in, more people join in.
All right, I got some treats.
I want to read it, get some facebook messages.
Uh, it's, um, Instagram Your stuff.
Uh, I'm gonna I'm gonna share this real fast so we can get this going here once I shared a stream.
Let me throw this up there.
Give me one second, guys, and I'll throw this up and then we'll be rolling.
Say, joining you live, right? Joining live.
Let's talk some sixers.
I want to hear some reaction.
I want to hear what the people have to say.
I just don't want to hear what I have to say because I will listen to myself for the past 20 minutes, you know, one of the TV, So let's ah, let me, um let me hear somebody else, right? Let me throw us up on Twitter real fast.
I will take one second.
All right? I think we're good.
We got the stream taking care of.
We get the live stream, taking care.
We got We'll have some people filtered in.
Ah, get some reaction here.
But, you know, obviously Josh Richardson doesn't play tonight, right? So they're calling it Ah, thigh contusion or something, or neck some of the next basil.
Listen, It's basically, you know, it's all hearsay.
It's all rhetoric based based upon giving the guy a night off.
Okay, Uh, my biggest thing with Josh Richards.
The thing is, I was gonna come into the show if John Ferguson was in his normal starting position in the lineup and ask if we could have jobs come off the bench.
That was gonna be one of my first questions because I want to see more trademark.
Listen, I consistently talk about Trey Burke on the show, week in and week out, post game at the post game I talk about Hey, Brett, where is Trey Burke? Where is the guy that scored 50 points in a game before? I understand he reinvented himself in the D League.
But my biggest thing with Trey Burke is he provides energy.
Listen, like Scott provided energy tonight, right? He did.
I mean, someone televised three points out, I get it.
But at least he provided some kind of spark.
James has provided a spark.
It was like to see Matisse play again.
It looked like Brett was trying multiple different things tonight on the court.
New York Snow Slough.
It's okay, Marcus.
He's a tough dude.
All right, and it's always interesting to see how the young guys react.
He tried to get in.
Ben's had a little bit towards again with the elbows on the block.
Obviously, you had a thing going with him and Joel, which I'm glad that turning the absolutely nothing because we don't need that.
Okay, you're seeing the game from Tobias Harris.
That wasn't great.
Hey, kind of disappeared in the second hand, feeding his 1st 2 points in the second half toe, like maybe seven minutes left in the fourth quarter, which is kind of odd, Okay, but I think that was more distribution than anything.
But the one thing that bothers me is that Joel Embiid factor and what I mean by that is you watched Ellen beat it the first quarter.
Joel took himself completely out of the low post completely out of it.
The only player that was playing in the low post was Al Horford.
He was the only guy.
And that's something that bothers me.
So, you know, watching Joe number one.
We all know Joe is a turnover machine at the top of the cake.
I I love him to death, but that's what he is he should not be hand on the ball there, and he consistently wants to stop when he comes in the court and he wants to sit on that wing.
He's not a wing player, Joe.
You're not a one on one guy, and that's what bothers me to stop faced up.
The opponents go one on one.
If you want to face him up, that's fun.
Get a little lower and hit that 12 of 13 for jumper.
I'm all good with that.
But when you're out there, okay and you're consistently trying to sit there and break somebody down, you always lose the ball.
When it comes up to that, this is something that is a complete problem with Joelle and be it just is I get it.
My biggest other concerns is the rotations off who you have in at certain times.
Listen, I don't It's not like I had this love affair with Trey Burke just because I like the guy.
Okay? I like him because is 70 Sixers have no closer? Who's the closer? You know that? That's a great question and and we consistently talk about that.
We talked about that coming into this year we said it was supposed they They told us it was Joel and be My issue is if anybody else watched the game besides myself, which I know everybody's checking in is, as obviously, watched the game.
My biggest thing is July looked tired and spent in the last five minutes of that game.
He was lacking days gold, his movements.
He was get the two man game between Mars.
Okay, And forgive me, you know, I'll get his name, but number 23 I'm having ah, brain **** here.
But it was too Al use in a row.
And that was Joe Joe's guy caught out of position.
Okay? And then he falls down.
You know, he turns up all over again.
This is supposed to be like Vince says It's supposed to be your closer right? The closure on this team is supposed to be Tobias Harris.
Ours is supposed to be the clothes.
That's what we paid Ah, hunter in $18 billion for Tobias because we knew when we were gonna let Jimmy go, we knew we didn't have that Alfa doll.
We didn't have that guy that was going to step up.
OK? We knew that had to be televised.
That's why he got paid.
So the pious needs to be that guy.
And right now he's not that guy.
He's just not that guy.
And that concerns me, right? That concerns we Look, let's look at the BIS tonight.
31 minutes, 14 points shot 38% from the field.
Now he did sue 40% for three point lane, which is something that he needs to dio, but 50% from the free throw line.
I mean, the six years that 70% again from the freezer along, which is actually ridiculous.
If the 70 Sixers lose the Miami Heat, are you starting to worry about the roster or the head coach? I've been worried about the head coach before the season even started.
Uh, you know, events.
I don't know if you follow me on here, you follow me on social media.
Ah, attic until 23.
Sports podcast billy influence dot com, Fox Sports Gambler.
I've thought it all out there.
Right, but you'll know that I am not a brat brown guy, okay? Brett Brown annoys the hell out of me.
Brant Brown makes you want to put my head through brick walls.
I don't understand what his rotations are.
Sometimes I still also think that breath round is Maur off a body and not a coast to these players.
He does not challenge these players enough, and I think that's what you see.
Listen, it's all well and good guess.
Band Simmons hit his three point shot. Look.
Here's the thing.
I don't need Ben to hit a three point shot.
I just need Ben to shoot the ball.
I don't need three, and that's the issue.
I don't need threes.
So again, the other issue I have is the UN disciplined plight towards the end of the game.
Look, what do we go? We turn the ball over, we again.
We missed free throws, but we give Joel the ball way too far out.
You know, out on the perimeter, where he turns the ball over Mike Scott.
Lackadaisical pants depends.
Seven swords, the end of the game, just too many mental mistakes.
And that falls on the coach that falls on the coach and the system.
I don't care what anybody says.
I understand we won this game, okay? And we're laying for this off right now because we did win the game.
But if we were lost this game, we would have been talking about the same exact points I just brought up.
Joel made a three pointer at the end.
Guess what? He should have never took it.
They should have never took it.
Okay, that's not his role.
That's the issue.
Why do they keep Furqan court? Maas.
Let's the court.
Mas is who he is, right? You know, he's another con Korver.
Okay, He's our Kyle Korver.
That's what he is. That's fine.
But again, let's not overexpose Frankie, Right? Let's not overexposed tonight.
That's more like it.
Have you tell me for a constant? Got 60 minutes a game.
I'm good with that.
Okay? I really am Trey Burke out 14 minutes.
I want to see that to 20.
I want to see Trey Burke starting the game and Josh Richardson on the batch.
That's what I want to say.
I know it sounds crazy.
I get it, and you're gonna say, Well, how can that be? Because he can't do that because he's Listen, I get it, but I just want to see what happens.
Listen, we've tried every other rotation.
Why can't we trade that? Why can't we try that all? Anything I could say is, the one good thing that probably came out tonight is probably that Ben Simmons has.
Ah, you know, solidified his his backup role.
Okay, which is why I should say, his backup party.
What's his Trey Burke club? Tyrone Johnson said when Ben Simmons shot that three tweet, the league is in trouble.
Listen, and I'll tell you what I like Tyrone Johnson.
I I like his work. I like what he does.
Ah, you know, I think you know, I like the Sixers outsiders.
I like all that, but tight does, too.
I think Tide has had knows.
Listen, you're right.
The league is in trouble if Bentiu bends him and shoot the three with consistency.
But again, I would ask Tyrone Johnson.
I think you may agree with me, and I think you guys make room me, too, that in order to win, this team doesn't need.
Ben should spend seven shooting 345 or six threes up again. That's not.
That's not what we need to happen.
What we do need the happen is we need them to respect his shop, right and events.
You're right, they need more shooters.
And the problem is they don't have a listen.
There's only a couple of guys who could shoot the ball on this team, Only a couple.
And I think you know, I'm interested to see.
You know, if they pick somebody up midway through the season, colicky, the like, alias over someone of that caliber.
Obviously, that's something that probably happens every year, right? That, you know, I could see something like that happening.
But until then, you know, that's why I kept screaming for Trey Burke because I think he's one of your shooters.
You know, say what you want is actually one of your shooters, you know, So he's gonna have to shoot the rock like consistency.
But at the end of the day, Tobias Harris needs to shoot 40% for three point lead.
Tobias Harris needs to be the guy that this you paid Tobias Harris. Three.
You didn't pay Al Horford to be your shooter.
You didn't pay Ben Simmons that did your shooter.
You didn't pay Joel on beat.
That be your shooter.
You paid Tobias Harris to be your shooter.
Okay, I've said this 100 times over.
Okay? I've said Tobias Harris, in order for us to win, Tobias Harris has the most important role in this team.
Okay, because you could say whatever you want about Ben Simmons being, you know, the second option on this team because it's a superstar or he's actually headed towards superstar status.
Tobias Harris is option number two.
Okay, Joel, number one.
Tobias number two.
Okay, So devise needs to play like number two, the I, C morts and I front of eyes that I've seen recently More.
More willingness to take that little turn around.
Jack, take that post off eight.
Okay, Dribble, drive to the basket.
I Seymour that which I like.
You know what this feels like? Eagles and sixties, sort of same ego.
Sort of kept Frank Rock six instead of capt. Monte Webb.
Listen, Monty Williams doing a hell of a job, okay? But we could say that the sixties sort of should've kept Lloyd Pierce's well, He's doing a hell of a job in land.
Okay, so you have to assistant coaches right now in Monte Williams of Phoenix.
And you have Louis Pierce in Atlanta both of until one hell of a job.
And let's not forget Monty Williams has McKell Bridge is the guy that we should have, because instead, we have a guy in Zaire Smith who can't get out of the D League and develop.
So let's talk about that as well.
Okay, because McKell Bridges would look nice on this team right now because he would have been a shooter.
Okay, so we have to talk about all these issues going forward.
This is a good listen.
It had happened. We needed this game.
This was a tough win, Okay, A great when what I like.
But I didn't like when we went down.
We went down 17 points.
That's a problem.
That should have never happened.
We should have never had to come back from a deficit like that.
Well, I'm telling you, that is, See, that's what makes team's playoff teams.
That's what makes teams good.
That's what make teams bad.
Okay? And and so we get to that point that we do not go down on runs like that.
It's gonna be an issue.
What you're feeling about about the heat game at home.
Listen, the the heats playing well, man, You know, I tell you what. You know.
What would Hero and Butler And I mean, those cats are playing hard out there.
So, you know, I got to say, you know, I'm kind of worried about that game because, you know, obviously Jimmy's gonna come in guns a blazing right.
He's obviously gonna come in.
He's gonna come in with, you know, he's gonna have, you know, all the mo mentum behind.
You know he's gonna have it.
But here's here's what we'll say about Miami.
Okay? We all laughed right with Miami, But think about the trade.
It happened, okay? That you know that Miami picks I year Smith, right? Zaire.
Smith gets trade it.
Or I mean, McKell birds get straight so we could sell your Smith that we get that that Miami pick.
We gotta have that Miami pick that was so important.
Well, they went up.
You know, as months times that we traded around, it essentially turned out to be Jimmy Butler, anyway, Who's playing in Miami? Right.
So I was crazy that this is what I want to ask you.
That's what I want to ask our body.
And this is why you know I like this because I like the other opinions because I want to see somebody about the Celtics.
You know, I wish my Boston guy was checking in because he's always going to Boston Trail.
Maybe he'll check in before this is over.
But you know, Boston consistently changes players consistently.
They arguably lost their two best players this year in Kyrie Irvin and Al Horford.
Guess what? They're still in second place, right? They're still bawling.
They're still played.
I don't hear any excuses for Boston saying These guys gonna learn how to play together, right? I'm not hearing that.
Gordon Hayward goes down.
You know why? It's the coach.
It's the culture, right? That.
Listen, that's the issue and camp.
If it right, you get a guy like Campbell Walker.
Absolutely. You get the right piece.
Well, guess what.
Here's the deal.
Camba is doing there.
What we need So buys to do here, right? That he's being that guy, that shooter, that they need, the guy that they could throw to to hit the three, to hit the open shot.
That's what's ABIs was paid for, right? So listen, I I honestly think that if the BIS could step his game up and be more consistent with his games again, like I said tonight, 14 points as opposed to what he had the other night.
You know Al Horford? You know, everybody talk about Al Horford.
Play 25 minutes a night.
You scored seven points, right? So score seven points.
But I'm not worried about Al Al's game.
Is something completely different? Joelle, 33 minutes, 23 points.
Obviously, that the leading big men together 18 points of 41 minutes.
That's what we need.
Then we need have been that consistently go to the basket and finish.
He did that a lot tonight.
What? You know, I really I really like that.
And I was enthused about his game.
Okay, when it came to that, I don't care about the three.
We don't People may care about the three.
I really don't care.
That's in the sixties.
Shot 40% from three tonight.
That's good percent is we need to keep it above 43.
We need to do much better than a ah, events. I see.
Smart Don taking a curveball concert.
I'm a huge Chris Paul guy.
I You know, I think he was not now because he's aids considerably because he's going through a lot of injuries.
Okay, But I honestly think Chris Paul was one of the past fires an MBA you'd never heard off, I really do.
Because he always played on the West Coast or you played for band teams, right? When he played for the Hornets, where, you know, he played out in the Clippers.
Okay, so, yeah, I've always had a soft spot for Chris Paul, But again, you know, Chris, Paul goes out, he plays and you know he's still helping.
The thunder went out there. Okay.
You still helping on the one out there? What's your gut? Wher e g goes Lakers or clippers? Listen, you know, it's funny about Gigi.
At the end of the day, you want to win a ring.
He really does, and I think, um, if he goes a Laker lame and I mean, listen, you know this this conversation.
I like doing these because we do a little post game we talk about next.
We talk aboutthe six years, then we're gonna get some embassy.
We always getting some MBA off topics, which is great, because, you know, I'm not a LeBron James guy, obviously.
You know, I'm a middle leads person, so I'm all about Michael Jordan.
So what would I see? Lebron, you know, doing what he does right now.
It's hard for me not to respect the guy and the game.
17 years in the league.
And he is just on another level right now, the way he maintains his body, the way the way he works, out, the way he's consistent, night in and night out doesn't take games.
All I got to give it to him. I do.
And it's hard for me, too, though, okay.
I mean, that's not easy for me to do, because I'm definitely not LeBron guy.
Always be a Jordan guy, But, you know, eventually, if LeBron queues going this way, we're really gonna have to have a listen.
Rebounds was pretty even, you know.
Offensive 10 to 7.
That wasn't a big deal.
30 assists given out.
Okay, 30 assists, dropping dimes out there, you know? And 32 17 which is big, uh, blocks.
Listen, 66 that was That was pretty even turnovers.
That was a big positive.
Tonight on we turn the ball over 10 times.
The problem is, when we turned the ball over, it was in the most inopportune times of the game.
And that was one of my biggest issues.
Ah, that's something that consistently we have to do better at.
We just have to get better at not turning the ball over, okay? We really don't now we got we got two.
Big is coming up.
Big is coming out.
Ah, you know what? Listen, I the arbors look at the heat and there, you know everybody.
Everybody's sitting there saying, What's you know, What's the crowd going to be like for Jimmy Butler? Right.
Well, what's a And you know what I like Jimmy.
I do, and I'm still gonna go.
I'm still gonna get with my theory about Jimmy.
I still think that it wasn't Jimmy that want to leave.
I still think it was a Sixers who wanted Jimmy to leave.
That's my opinion.
Um, my six are friends.
Told me six years ago.
Trade for diesel is I and ideas are Russell guy.
Okay, I'm gonna tell you that right now, I am not a dean's are Russell guy, But I I will tell you this, you know, too big, you know, don't look past the Spurs, right? We got the spars coming into the sound Popovich brought around reunion.
Obviously, I'd like to see Tim Duncan on that safe.
That's pretty cool.
Uh, that that's something I really like, you know? And then we got Miami on Saturday, and we're off till Wednesday.
So the these air going to be two off the big games coming up, in my opinion, because, you know, number one you're gonna go because a big rival in the East, a team that looks like they're gonna be a decent team.
They're gonna hang around, you know? So and in the spurs, listen, you know, the martyr Rose is no joke.
The market soldiers, No joke.
You're gonna see all divers and B, which is gonna be a nice patch up.
You know, I like to see what the mortar Rosen does, how they defend them.
And don't forget about the patient's Vince. Absolutely.
I've been I've been saying every, you know, I've been saying everything.
I was telling everybody about the Pacers because they still didn't get Victor back yet. Wait.
Wait till they get Victor back yet.
Well, when they get Victor back, you know, if he comes back healthy and he comes back, you know he's not gonna be 100%.
It's still take listen to year for an A C L man, He's not gonna be 100% but 90% of Victor on that team right now the way they're playing, I'll tell you what in the eye is gonna be a tough team to be.
They are gonna be a tough team to beat in East.
Ah, Brockton? Yep.
I mean, Brogden and I wasn't a Malcolm Brogdon guy, but I'll tell you what.
He's played exceptional out there.
He really has I mean that that that team is another team you really, really have to watch out for Ah, you know it.
Listen, Pacers remember the patient back in the day, right? You know what? The Larry Brown pace Or so you know, now that the Pacers are falling right now really are in the rafters. SIAC.
Um and wow, we're gonna hold that scene together.
Okay? But in the end, they're not gonna be good enough.
They're just not there.
They're not gonna have the right pieces to me in order to compete.
Least they're just not, um I think they're gonna be a, you know, seven or eight or 70 ideo I I I think they won't be able to hold off the play.
I don't think they have a pliers for, obviously.
You know, once Kevin Durant comes back, what will be next year? You know, it'll be interesting what Brooklyn does, but I still think you know that Boston still gonna be there.
He doesn't scare me. I keep saying that. We'll walk.
He doesn't scare me.
Ah, the Sixers should be the top team in the east.
Unfortunately, they're playing like the fourth team in the east right now, and they need to step their game up in order to get the number one.
That's my pain, or it's gonna be the difference again.
We keep talking N b a finals.
Okay, But it's gonna be different.
Getting the MBA founds as opposed to Eastern Conference finals.
We need to take that step.
It's gonna happen this year.
Ah, but yeah, man, this has been good is always great conversation.
I appreciate everybody checking in.
You know, I'm gonna do a post game on Friday as well, so hopefully you guys can check in it after the Spurs game.
And the success that make the finals will prep around.
Listen, that's a great question, Vince.
You know, I was gonna end, but let's go into that role fast, okay? Because I think this is the This is the breath round year.
This is finals or Boss.
You heard it from the owner.
Basically from the GM.
Okay, this is his time to shine.
There's nothing else that we can do for rep around.
We We've gone through multiple superstars.
Okay? We've gone through multiple drafts.
Multiple free agency, period.
Okay, We've gone through the excuses off needs on the gel in time to make adjustments, find a proper rotations, getting the proper bench, getting the proper rookies in place.
We've had every single excuse possible, and it's done now.
So this is the year.
This is the year I I truly believe they knock into the N B A finals this year.
Brant Brown would be looking for another job next year, and I'm not even sure who you bring in at that point. I really don't.
I'm telling you, I know there was a lot of issues and Golden State.
Nobody else is looking at him.
But Mark Jackson in trees.
Me, he really does.
He's a guy that knows how to get it done.
He does, and I'm sorry he intrigues me.
There's, you know, there's nobody else.
There's nobody else that really stands out to me and says, you know, let's go get him so we'll see what happens.
But I think this is the breath around you to prove itself.
I think everybody's internally an organization outside of the organization, and even the pliers, I think, are growing tired of the same rhetoric here in the hero, especially if it doesn't prove to get them to where they need a bowl.
Thank you for everybody for checking in at multiple people on here on Facebook on Twitter.
