Hey, everyone, thanks for tuning into my life's dream, doing this scream just before I head on out to actually go to the Lakers game tonight.
So very excited about that.
Have some pretty good seats playing the Atlanta Hawks, so I'm excited to see not just the Lakers obviously play but clemency.
Trey Young play is obviously one of the most exciting young players in the n b A.
So I am really happy that I'm getting to watch that tonight.
But before I have out want to give you guys the pregame preview, I'm gonna be back on maybe later tonight if out tonight.
Tomorrow's pending on when I get back from the game.
But I will go over everything that I saw in person at this came and just my paper weights from it.
But gonna give everyone a little bit longer is to jump on.
I say we only have a few people on the stream right now, but yeah, should be a really exciting game.
I have my LeBron James Lakers jersey on which I will be wearing proudly throughout the night and hopefully I am happy with the end result.
I know in this game, I think the Lakers are favored by, like, 13 points or 13 and 1/2 points, something like that.
But I will get into that break down everything.
Let's just get into the the preview, I guess so far for the game, just giving everyone another second or two to hop on.
But, yeah, let's just get into it.
So Hawks are taking on the Lakers.
Atlanta Hawks had an embarrassing embarrassing.
Doesn't do it justice, but I cannot think of the word that would do it.
Just this guy. I don't think there is a word for it.
The Hawks lost the Clippers last night by 49 points, 1 50 to 1 on one and fast.
That should never be happening.
When you're a professional basketball team, I don't care if the Clippers are a better team in.
The Hawks are which they clearly are.
Just like the Lakers are clearly a better being on the Hawks are.
But you should hunt be losing by 49 points in any cir***stance.
And so, yeah, it's just it's it's embarrassing for the Hawks, but lost that one last night.
So second night of a back back.
It's going to be a little rough for them, a little bit of a turnaround for them or a quick turnaround for them.
But they're going to have to take on the Lakers and they take on the Lakers.
So Hawks currently have a foreign eight record.
Lakers air tending to as far as points for game.
Lakers are outscoring the Hawks 109.
Leaders were shooting a slightly higher field goal percentage of about 2% higher.
Lakers average about a little over three more assists per game.
I believe the Lakers are one of the top teams in that B A in terms of assists per game.
Their ball movement has been very, very impressive this last week or two weeks.
They had, I think, over 30 assists and back to back games against the Suns and Warriors, which joke all you want about them getting 30 assists on the Warriors and how easy it is.
But it's not easy.
Warriors were so a professional basketball team.
I know they have a horrible defense, but any time you get 30 assists, especially 30 assists back to back in on back to back nights.
That's pretty impressive, and the offense has started, become around, look a little bit better than it did to start the year.
Their defense has slacked off a little bit, which I kind of expected that with the return of Kyle Koosman raised on Rondo, but they're still 10 into right now, very happy with what I've seen.
Rebounds for game.
Lakers at about the Hawks on that as well.
3 to 43.8 points in the paint.
Very close. Lakers 53.8.
7 points allowed.
The Hawks are averaging 1 14.
9 points per game, while the Lakers are only giving up 100.
That's gonna be the big key in this game.
Is just obviously, like I said, leaders are the better team, but they play such better defense in the Atlanta Hawks, and it starts obviously with stopping Trey Young.
But the Hawks second leading scorer has been Jabbari partner who's had a little bit of a Renaissance year for him a little bit of a year, throwing it back a few years, which I know to Bari Parker's on me.
What is He is born in 95.
So he's my age is 24 years old, so little bit young to be having a throwback year.
But Jabari Parker's look really good for the Hawks, So our kids played in 12 games for them.
He's playing just a little under 28 minutes for game, averaging 17.
8 points for game on 54% field goal percentage, which, if that holds up for the rest of the year, that would be his highest field goal percentage he's ever had in his career before.
3% last year of the Wizards, but only played 25 games with the Wizards.
It's incredible. I'm looking at it.
No one year so far.
In his career, he's played more than 51 games.
Joanie Harper has had a lot of knee issues and just injuries in general, but his second year of the box he played 76 games.
Other than that, he has not played more than 51 in any season, which is just Wow, you don't talk about the Bard.
Parker to someone who was always getting injured but maybe isn't on the level of where you think of when you think of other star players that are more injury prone.
But, yeah, shooting 54% from the field.
Three point percentage is down at 29.2%.
Use shooting four threes per game, making a little over one of them free throw percentage down around 71%.
So he starts a power forward for the Hawks.
So I guess that means Anthony Davis is going regarding him, at least to start the game until the Lakers subject Veil McGee out and Davis goes and plays center, but that is gonna be tougher.
Jabari Parker, both offensively and defensively.
I'm curious to see.
If so, the Hawks start Damian Lee at center and Jabari Parker is their power forward.
I wonder if they're going to be putting Damian Lee on Anthony Davis and put Jabari Parker on JaVale McGee The start, Jabari Parker has said.
When was it before he signed that the Bulls two years ago? He said, in free agency he gets paid to play offense, not defense, and he reminds us of that every single game.
As impressive as his offensive numbers are this year, and they're better than they have been in quite some time.
He does not play defense.
It's not just that he doesn't play in playing defense.
He's not interested in playing defense.
He's not interested in making the effort to play defense.
He just doesn't care enough.
So whoever he's on and if I'm the Hawks, I think I'd rather on him on JaVale McGee than Anthony Davis.
Just Anthony Davis is going to absolutely work. Jabari Parker.
Damian Lee would have a really tough time on Anthony Davis as well, but at least he's big enough and can actually try on defense.
But then you gotta worry about your party.
Parker not being in the right position to guard to bail McGee.
I think if they do that, it's a lose lose for the Hawks.
Either you give up a lot of points to Davis or you give up a lot of easy dunks to JaVale McGee, Davises, obviously the much better player and more important to the Lakers success.
So I would think probably put the party Parker on JaVale McGee, Damian Leon, Anthony Davis.
Obviously, I'm expecting Anthony Davis to have a really big game, though.
When you obey, only he does go out and Kyle Kuzma gets brought in that someone who, if Jabari Parker is still in the game, makes a little bit more sense from regarding some of my Kuzma than Anthony Davis.
But again, he doesn't want to play any defense.
It's gonna burn him.
But that's where the Lakers have to attack this game.
They have to be attacking inside.
Whoever Lakers, to the point of frustration with me, have done matchup hunting so much so far, where instead of just running a pick and roll in trying to operate out of it and look for the roller or whatever, they'll do a pick and roll.
And then whoever has the mismatched, they will just match up hunt directly for that and kind of guy.
So, especially if on the pick and roll someone smaller matches up on Anthony Davis.
The lob it into him in the post, which look Anthony Davis, obviously not a bad idea to give him the ball on this match, but you kind of do it a little bit too much, so see what happens with that.
But yeah, that's where the Lakers have to attack in this cape attacked Jabari Parker.
We're gonna go match up hunting, find whoever Davari Parker is guarding, whether it be Anthony Davis travail, McGee, LeBron James will see.
I'm also excited to see Obviously I'm excited to see how Trey Young Place tonight.
He is really, really fun to walk in.
I mean, going off of his numbers, he has better numbers his 1st 2 years and then be a Bond Stephan Curry hat.
So maybe the next coming of Steph Curry.
He plays very similarly to how Steph Curry plays.
So that's gonna be really exciting.
Also, want to see Cam Radish? Now he plays he When he was at Duke, he was kind of thought to be a better player than how he played.
But all of his athleticism, all the tools are there for him to be a really good basketball player.
And I just want to see how he plays in person.
So that'll be exciting to watch.
But on the later side of things, obviously, LeBron James, who's wind be guarding him is in BP.
Andre Hunter is going to be cam reddish.
I would assume it would be the Andre Hunter to start out.
Um, we'll see what happens with that.
I'm expecting another big night.
Obviously from him, I hope we get another one of those throwback tongues like the ad against the Kings.
That was really fun.
When he rose up for that dunk, I sat on my last stream, my jaw literally dropped.
I was just in amazement.
So that'll be really fun to see.
I want to touch on the JaVale McGee rotation as well, or how prevailing he gets sucked in and out.
Javale McGee Just on out Robert Woods is the themes Night game start.
Wow, that sucks.
Supposed to win this week, too, But what was I going to say? Wow, that threw me off.
But yeah, talk about JaVale McGee and the rotation for him.
I mentioned in my stream yesterday that I'd like to see the Lakers play JaVale McGee a little bit without Anthony Davis, and I hope that they at least experiment with that other than JaVale McGee.
On Wednesday night, he gets the Warriors when Anthony Davis sat the game out veil.
McGee has had no playing time when Anthony Davis has not been on the court, and I know it's a small sample size and it's against the Golden State Warriors.
But it does make sense if he doesn't have someone like Anthony Davis, who is kind of clogging the lane to an extent both offensively and defensively.
To that's one thing is that JaVale McGee has been extremely passive when it comes to going after any shots that he could possibly block or going after any rebounds.
He's kind of deferring to Anthony Davis, which, look, Anthony Davis is gonna go get all the blocks and rebounds that he can.
But family needs any more aggressive, And it seemed like in that game against the Warriors, when Anthony Davis wasn't playing JaVale McGee was a lot more aggressive, and it's something that just it makes sense.
I would like to see the Lakers and Frank Vogel utilize that a little bit and see what happens with that.
And Frank Vogel has done a really good coaching job so far.
So I, unlike in the past, I am actually expecting that maybe this will happen.
Maybe the coaches will do something right.
Luke Walton was the head coach.
They never did anything that made sense.
But maybe with Frank Vogel, there's a chance that it's actually going to be a little different.
I'm gonna hold on to that hope, but, yeah, that what I want to talk about. The travail.
McGee, Rajon Rondo Also.
So Avery Bradley is going to be out for about a week to two weeks at minimum, I guess, before yet under Rondeau, it's wanna talk really briefly about the leakers, medical staff and how they evaluate their players.
So we've seen we saw this with Kyle Kuzma.
We saw this last year with LeBron James when he injured, is growing and was said to be day to day and ended up missing about six weeks.
Lawns of all last year when he had a raid.
Frank, which usually for a great three ankle sprain and require surgery.
And you're out a minimum of, I think, 8 to 12 weeks on average.
Bonds of all had a great three ankle sprain.
There were no plans for him to get ankle surgery, and the Lakers said, I think they said that he'd be out a couple of weeks and then should be back, which, unless they were doing some groundbreaking stuff to get himto rehab and come back quicker.
There was no way that was gonna happen.
Obviously, they didn't have anything.
Groundbreaking clones of all ended up missing the whole year.
I don't think he had ankle surgery until the summer or until right before the off season started.
I just the medical staff and how they evaluate and put timelines out for their players.
It's really frustrating because it's a lose.
It's a no win situation for the players and the team on the team side of things.
It's frustrating because, okay, when is a player going to be back and then on the player side of things like Lonzo Ball, for instance, when they said he was gonna be out a couple of weeks and he ends up missing the rest of the season, which was about three months or so, doesn't look good on him.
It makes him look soft because everyone's expecting that he'll be ready to play within a few weeks in the ends up, missing much more time than what the expected timeline or reported timeline was on him.
But it's not even his fault.
That's just that's how long raids.
Wrinkle springs usually take to come back from, but it just looks down on the player and makes them look soft.
It's the same thing with Raison Rondo and Kyle Kuzma to start this start this season.
Kuzma was day to day from training camp and he ended up coming back after like four games or so, which honestly was faster than I was expecting it to be, but still day to day for about three or four weeks, Rondo played and I think one or two preseason games and injured his calf.
He was day today and he missed a out, I think a little under a month and he was day today.
So with Avery Bradley, stop him being out 12 weeks.
I seen people reporting on it all the time.
He will be out for 1 to 2 weeks.
No, and the Lakers, I think when they release this, if I'm remembering correctly, they even kind of maneuvered around the 1 to 2 week mark where not saying he'll be out for one of two weeks, he will be re evaluated, and on the two weeks he has a small fracturing his leg.
It's a hairline fracture, which I don't know what the general timetable is on that, but I would expect it to be longer than a week or two.
Hopefully, I'm wrong.
But I'm just saying, Don't expect Avery Bradley to be back in 12 weeks.
If he is great, take that as a win but expected to be out a little bit longer.
Hey, this cultural pope started for the Lakers on Friday night against the sack Pope.
I'd like to see Caruso get start.
Caruso has really, really good chemistry of LeBron James, as with showed against the Kings on Friday when, on three straight possessions, the ball was thrown into LeBron James on the post.
Caruso, on the 1st 2 possessions, had backdoor cuts that LeBron found him for two layups and then on the 3rd 1 ran the same play.
Lakers took the back door cut away.
He ran out into the opposite corner.
LeBron found him.
He had a 37 points on three possessions, all leading the baskets for the Lakers and Alex Caruso.
I love the chemistry that him and LeBron James have.
I would like to see Crusoe start I'm not expecting him to start, though.
I do think a CPU will be starting again.
But rage on Rondo Lakers are playing against the Atlanta Hawks with Trey Young, who can absolutely go on the offensive end.
And I said before my stream yesterday how I'd like to see the Lakers utilize Rondo, where on some nights where the Lakers were getting pressured heavily on their ball handlers, Rondeau plays some more.
But on nights where they're not getting pressure to happily and especially when they're going up against an opposing point guard that's able to catch on fire whenever possible.
Don't use Radio Rondo.
And this is a night where the Lakers should not be using Rondo.
I'm expecting them to still play, unfortunately, and there's still things that he can do, obviously, on the offensive end of stuff.
But going up against some someone like Trey Young.
Rano doesn't play defense, and it's going to create a really fun night for Trey Young.
If Rondo is out there too much while he's out there, another end of things the Hawks.
Trey Young doesn't really play too much defense, either.
I'm not expecting the Hawks to be pressuring the Lakers guards the way that some other teams do, so it doesn't make too much sense to have Rondo in this game.
This is one where you want Alex Caruso in.
You want Quinn Cook for spacing, and I guess I mean, KCP isn't really a point guard.
Even if he starts, he starts at the spot where he's gonna be guarding opposing point guards.
LeBron James is the de facto point guard for the Lakers, but yeah, we'll see.
Hopefully, the coaching staff listens to me and has the same kind of mind set on this game as I do.
Thank you guys for tuning in listening, letting me go on the little bit of a rant about the laters medical staff and what they're kind of doing to screw over their players little bit.
I hope that trend doesn't keep continuing or doesn't continue, but we'll see.
But right now, that's everything.
I'm gonna get going.
Got to go over the Staples Center is going to be really fun tonight.
Thanks again for tuning in.
