a rod's up, everybody.
Bailey, unwrap sports network here, Dad giving you a double dip of me this morning before the one game start in the NFL schedule.
Um, so obviously, we had Cleveland beat Pittsburgh 21 to 7 on Thursday night football.
Lot of ramifications coming from that.
I'm not gonna worry about that right now, though.
We already talked about that on a previous stream.
So was gonna dive into the rest of today's scheduled on tomorrow night.
Um, the Monday night game between the Chargers and the Chiefs, and we will start with Houston and Baltimore.
I do have the Texans upsetting the Ravens.
Uh, in Baltimore today, they are a four point underdog.
I'm going to take the shot, Watson.
And not offense.
Thio, get a win over Baltimore.
Baltimore is not gonna go 14 into.
They're gonna lose again.
They got a tough stretch coming, Um, and used in this part of hats off stretch.
So, um, I'm gonna take Houston to get a win today.
I think John Watson outplays Lamar Jackson.
I think that the Texans defense slows down the bottom or offense just like tech.
The Texans offense more I think they got better weapons, obviously, with Hopkins, and then you'll get Kiki QC at receiver.
You could make some plays.
Kenny Stills Coming over this year from Miami, their offensive line's been better since the addition of Lammy.
Tunsil left tackle two running backs with Duke Johnson and Carlos.
I'd have been really good all year, So we'll see how all the weapons kind of come together today against Baltimore.
But I do have Houston beating the Ravens today.
I'm gonna go with another upset.
I'm gonna take the Panther.
I'm sorry, the Falcons this week as well.
Um, I know that they're two and seven.
I know that they have, you know, struggle to get wins all year.
But let's not They haven't been blown out or embarrassed per se yet.
The season, Um, you look at their offense.
They did lose about a Freeman. They did lose Austin.
Hooper stole a folio down.
Still love Calvin. Ridley.
Um, Matt Ryan played well last week against New Orleans.
I like Atlanta a little bit more than I like Carolina.
I like Matt Ryan more than I like Kyle out.
I think that it's gonna be a shootout not between the quarterbacks but between the skill position players.
So I expect Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley each have big days.
I expect Krista McCaffrey to have a big day against, um Falcons defense, who hasn't been the best this year.
So I think it'll be a relatively high scoring game.
I will take Atlanta toe win around the 30 Wanda 27 range.
I think it will be, um, within a touchdown, though.
The wind for Atlanta.
So I will take the Falcons over the Panthers.
Dallas in Detroit.
No Matthew Stafford again today.
Something's Jeff Drew school.
Get this start again against the Cowboys.
The game is in Detroit.
I think it'll be closer than I think.
That's the line six and 1/2.
Um, I think that the defense will play well for Detroit.
Um, you know, we saw that Z got shut down last week.
Um, against Minnesota snacks.
Harrison up front for the lines.
I mean, it's not gonna be an easy game for Zeke this week either.
Wiseman Darius lies one of the best quarterbacks in football, so we'll see how they look. Throwing the ball.
Um, but the secondary for the lines has allowed Ah, lot of yards this year.
I think they're top five years allowed in passing games this year.
So I think that jackal of a solid dad still think they're gonna win.
Um, I think it'll be around the six.
The six line, if they could be maybe a little bit closer than six and 1/2.
Um, with Linus said, Just cause it's in Detroit.
After Driscoll didn't look bad last week against the Bears, I did throw a long touchdown.
Kenny Golladay made some plays with his feet, had a catch.
Even so, Driscoll played well, but he's not.
Matthew Stafford of Matthew Stafford was in this game.
I might pick the Lions to actually win in an upset, but I'll take the Cowboys and, um, you know, the lines they've just been plagued with, you know, bad calls this year, injuries as well.
So I mean, they're a better football team than the record shows.
I'm gonna take the house today with a short handed Detroit team with no Matthew Stafford, Jacksonville, Indianapolis.
Um, if you watch the previous dream, you know, I'm gonna pick the Jaguars over the Colts.
Nick Foles coming back.
I think that helps their offense a little bit.
I mean, Gardner Menchu did play well and relief of him, but I think he kind of got inconsistent near the end.
And I got to see what they have in Nick full since they give him that big contract in the off season.
So I think that, um, having Dede Westbrook, Shark, go and then, um, 100 from it in the backfield.
Solid offensive line.
I think he'll get going today against the Colts defense.
I just don't think that the Colts offense is going to do too much.
They don't have t y Hilton again.
There are winless without him in the lineup, so they're gonna rely a lot on Marlin, Mac and Jack Doyle.
They don't really have a solid go to receiver without T y Hilton in the lineup.
So, um, I think that that's gonna play them.
I think that the Russian Jacoby percent back with that knee injury, and we're going to see how that plays in today's game.
But I'm gonna take Jacksonville.
Ah, there to 1/2 point underdog.
I did bet on this game, and I bet the Jaguars to win.
So I will be watching this game very intently.
Um, so I got the Jaguars beating the Colts today in Indianapolis.
All right, Buffalo and Miami.
Josh Allen has had his three best career games against the Miami Dolphins and expect him to sling it today.
Um, you know, if you listen, the NFL on RAB yesterday Kurt Thomas er, our bills guy and co host of the show with me.
Um, he said that straw McDermott sat Josh Alan down.
Just I look, just be lose with the ball, But don't be reckless ball.
And I think we're gonna see a lot of that today because he knows that, you know, if he does make a mistake, the defense is gonna be able to bail him out against Miami.
The game was closer than a lot expected on the first matchup between these two teams, but I think that the Bills defense is still good.
Miami will play. Okay.
They've been playing well the past few weeks.
I got obviously two straight wins in the past few games.
Um, that said I think that Josh was gonna saw a game swing the ball.
I think that John Brown's gonna be a big factor in this game.
I think defensively, they're gonna have a solid game as well.
So I'm gonna take the bills over the Dolphins.
Um, in Miami today, the Broncos and the Vikings.
Uh, it's a 10 and 1/2 line.
I've got to say it's gonna be closer than 10 and 1/2.
I think that the Vikings are still gonna be kind of riding high off their win last week against the Cowboys on.
But if you look at the way the Broncos played all year, I mean their top five against the past.
It's just been kind of screwed a little bit.
And the games that they have lost a bad past.
Roughing the passer call against Chicago, which led to the game winning field goal for the Bears.
Um, they were in it to the very end against the Coats until Joe Flacco stripped of the ball on that, led to a last second, fueled by Adam Bennett Terry to get the wind.
So I think that the Broncos are a better team, especially defensively than the record says.
Offensively, I think they're gonna have to look to Brain and Alan to pass the ball out today because I just don't believe in Phillip Lindsay and the wrong game.
Their offensive line hasn't been very good.
Um, so you gotta hope that guys like day Shawn Hamilton sudden, um, the tight ends can really pick it up today for the Broncos.
Um, I think it's gonna be closer than 10 and 1/2 but I think the Vikings, I just believe in their offense of firepower, more, their defense is better.
They got weapons all over the field.
I think the Vikings are gonna get the wind, will move on to eight and three.
It'll be closing in 10 and 1/2.
Um, New Orleans and Tampa Bay, obviously the same said that lost last week, too.
Atlanta 26 to 9.
They didn't, but I don't believe they put up a touchdown.
Um, so no, I was trying to bounce back from rough loss like that, I believe in June And Drew Brees.
I don't believe in James Winston and the Buccaneers.
Their defense is very good there.
I think they're top against the run in the NFL this year.
Barrett's been phenomenally the defensive player of the year candidate for Tampa Bay, but offensively, they're just being so shorted by the lack of quarterback play.
You look at the weapons on the Tampa Bay offense Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, O J.
Howard outside and a solid core running back.
The good offensive want, like if they had a solid quarterback, if they had an average quarterback, nonetheless, they would be, I think, right in the mix of a playoff rush.
But Jameis Winston turns the ball over too much.
Um, he's not a dynamic quarterback.
I think this is his final year in Tampa Bay, and it's just not going as planned.
So I think that the Saints bounced back in a solid way.
I think, um, Drew Brees passes for, you know would say around 300 a couple touchdowns.
Michael Thomas has a big day, and the Saints rolled the Buccaneers after a bad loss last week to the Falcons, Jets and the Redskins.
Washington is two and 1/2 point favorite in this game.
I also bet on this game about the Jets to win.
This is one of the easiest bets.
I think you could make.
Dwayne Haskins is gonna be starting the rest of the year.
I don't think he's ready to do that, but they're trying to get him some in game experience to have him learn for the future.
And I totally respect that.
I totally understand that.
I wish more teams did this when a draft young quarterbacks just throw him in right away, threw him into the fire and let him learn.
That's what Washington is doing with Dwayne Haskins.
Various guises. Also coming back.
Um, you know, we missed all last year with an A C L injury.
I think he has an M c L injury this year that he hasn't played yet, so he's becoming kind of the Kevin White of running backs for the NFL.
You hope you wish the best for him? Obviously, um, so we'll see how that impacts the running game.
Um, Terry McKay Lauren's been a surprise receiver for them this year.
That said, their offensive line is still with a lot of issues.
Obviously, the Trent Williams debacle bad has plagued the team the entire year.
Defensively, they have a lot of young talent.
I thought they'd be very good this year.
I was wrong about that.
They just can't stop anybody.
So I'm gonna pick the Jets to win.
I just think that they had better firepower on offense.
I think eventually living on Bill's gotta go off in a game.
Um, you know, Robbie Anderson, James and Crowder wide receiver got tons of lines and bad.
Ryan Kalil is out there for the remainder of the year was put on I R.
Defensively, though they came alive last week against the Giants.
Jamal Adams played great, so we'll see if they can translate that over this week against Washington.
But I do like the Jets this week to be the Redskins, the Cardinals in the 40 Niners.
I think this game will be close to them, a 10 point spread as well.
Just a few weeks ago, the Cardinals only lost by three of the offense, look good.
Kenyon Drake proved to be a very valuable addition to that offense.
Maybe not so much of David Johnson fantasy owners, Um, but offensively, he was great.
Murray's been playing well last week, threw three touchdown passes to Christian Kirk Kirsten.
Kirk's been playing great.
Eso expecting to get a lot of touches today against San Francisco.
I think the 40 Niners ultimately win, but I think that the Cardinals keep closer than 10.
So the 40 Niners get the win.
Another competitive game between these two teams.
The Cardinals keep getting better and the 40 Niners bounce back after their lost last week.
I get to see off no George Kittle again today, and I do believe Emmanuel Sanders is also listed as questionable.
I don't know his official status right now, but George Kittle is out.
So for tonight is a little bit shorthanded there.
Still think they get the window all right, moving into New England and Philadelphia when Bill Belichick comes off a bad loss and goes into a by, I'm gonna pick up no matter who he's playing.
The Eagles have been pretty inconsistent this year.
It is a home game for them.
They're a four point underdog at home.
I'm still gonna take the Patriots to win this game again.
A bad loss to Baltimore a few weeks ago.
They have two weeks to prepare for the Eagles.
You know Bill Belichick off a bad loss, and you will by I'm gonna pick them every time Tom Brady hasn't played.
You know, the typical Tom Brady were used to saying, I think that's just aged kind of progressing.
Um, he's not aging badly.
I think he's aging like find one, and he's just slowly declining.
But that defense has really picked it up this year.
Obviously, you know, one of the best units in football, and I think we're going to see that on display today.
Um, I think that the Patriots win.
I think I'd be probably a double digit when will say by 10 or 11 but I do like the Patriots to bounce back.
But after this field off, your schedule is pretty easy, and I think that they kind of get on a roll and win the NFC East.
Still, I just don't think today they get a win, so I'll take the Patriots to be The Eagles, who secondary is bad, who are missing out on Jeffrey and Sean Jackson.
Just don't have any offensive weapons to really help them out today against the Patriots Cincinnati in Oakland.
I think the Raiders got the win and move to six and four on the year.
I like their car. I like Josh Jacobs.
Tyrone Williams has been very good for them this year.
Receiver of the offense of line has gotten better defensively.
They're getting slowly, surely better.
I mean, obviously, there's room for improvement there as well, but I'm going to take the Raiders.
The Bangles just bad.
They don't have any explosives on offense.
Obviously, Ryan family got the star last week in place of any adult who was benched.
Um, Joe Mix has been very disappointing.
Green hasn't played a game yet.
Tyler Boyd's been good on it.
Tate is at his moments, But, um, they can't protect Ryan family, too.
Well, they can't run the ball whatsoever, and the defense can't stop anybody.
So that's maybe the biggest of those are all the reasons why they're winless.
And I think that Oakland's too good of a football team.
They're gonna win this week.
Move on the six and four, and they will take control of that second wild card spot in the A, F C, Chicago and Los Angeles.
The Sunday night game.
I think it's going to be an ugly game between two offenses have been struggling to one defense that hasn't been the same.
We expected this, by the way, I got Jalen Ramsey in the Los Angeles Rams.
Um, I'm gonna pick the Bears to win the game.
I just think that defensively, they're just better.
They're more sound on that side of the ball, and I think that's ultimately what's gotta give them the avenge.
I think it's gonna be very similar to last year where there's interceptions all over the place turnovers.
It's gonna be very low scoring, so I'll take the Bears toe win.
We'll say 16 to 10 over the Rams, whose offensive struggles have just been evident the past few weeks.
Um, so we'll see if they continue playing a very good Bears defense.
That's not exactly where they want to be right now.
They were held without a point offensively last week against the Steelers.
They had the defensive touchdown and then a field goal and a safety.
Or that is where all their points came from last week against Pittsburgh.
So we'll see if their offense could kind of get going. Cooper Cup.
No catches last week as well, so see if he can pick up the slack this week as well, and in Kansas City and the Chargers.
I'm gonna go the Chargers in this game, and this game has a lot of implications on the A, F C West and the rest of the A C playoff.
Because Kansas City wins this game, they're sitting at seven and four and firm control of, UM, the A F C West.
If they lose their six and five and the Chargers are five and six, only a game back and right back in the mix of chasing the division and a possible wild card spot.
Which is crazy to say, because a few weeks ago they were left for dead, Um, and now they're kind of storm back a little bit if they could get a win, um, in Mexico, which they've trained for playing in Mexico, which has elevation of over 7000 feet.
They've been training in Denver to kind of practice dealing with the high elevation.
I like the way that they practice.
They just got a better overall roster and the Chiefs do.
Patrick Mahomes threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns last week, and they still found a way to lost to the Titans.
Um, the charters have a better team.
And the Titans, they sure I'll have better offense than the Titans do Defensively, they're better.
I just think that the chief's defense, they can't stop anybody, especially in the run.
And if you can't stop the run eventually, they're gonna be in play action.
So I think that the charge is gonna put everything together this week in Mexico on Monday night, and I think that the Chiefs are gonna really be in some turmoil.
I said, coming into the year, I think they're going to take a step back.
I seem to have been wrong early in the year, and I even admitted I was wrong.
But right now, after this week, I think we're going to say that maybe the Chiefs have taken a step back and it's not past my home's fall as the defense is fault because they can't stop anybody.
So I think the charge is gonna win.
Move on to five and six, and we're gonna have a very tight race between the Chargers, the Raiders and the Chiefs to see you convict that a F C West title and see how the wild card race starts stepping up.
So those are my picks for this week.
Thank you for joining me.
Uh, did just finish up the whole segment s.
So if you want to catch it, um, go ahead and re watch the stream.
