So it's been truly It has been a little bit of time since I've done a SportsCastr stream.
I'm wanted to jump back in today Have my Baker Mayfield hoodie on plan to jump back in originally to talk about what I hoped would be a Browns win in general, Not just, you know, but basically, my point is I'm jumping in because of what happened at the end of the games I wanted was hoping for Browns win.
Um, pretty quickly during the game saw that it was gonna happen.
Steelers could move the ball.
Mason Rudolph couldn't move the ball except, um on pass interference penalties.
Next thing you know, the Browns win 21 the seven.
And we're talking about kind of the ugly brawl at the end of the game.
4 24 in the East right now.
So it's, you know, I had a full day to kind of digest all the takes, obviously, right away.
Last night, there was some crazy takes coming out, um, logical ones, crazy ones, and they continued into Today.
Twitter is a rough place to go on in general.
But today I mean everything.
If you're from Cleveland, it's all Myles Garrett takes so really quick while I'm starting this going to you just post like quick.
That's my champ box.
There is my Twitter instagram handle.
So tweet a little bit about the garret stuff.
But I also don't want to make a fool of myself over reacting.
Just one of the chant about it here.
I think the Cleveland radio hosts on 93.
The fame have done a good job so far.
Um, staying sane, Um, keeping it simple.
Callers, on the other hand, not so much, but that's what you're gonna expect.
So before we get going here further into the discussion, just gonna share this stream.
Like I said, the last time I did a SportsCastr stream waas when the Cleveland Indians were still fighting for a playoff spot and they collapsed and it kind of bumming out so much, I took a road trip to New York City because I just couldn't handle us going on.
Since that, of course, have managed to four and six record, which is not great.
I'm not terrible and it's frustrating, kind.
My first point is because the Browns, you know, we're two and six after an ugly loss in Denver.
Pick up the win over Buffalo, who even if you think Buffalo stinks, they are in the playoff hunt right now.
Probably gonna make the playoffs.
Come on versus Steelers. Get a win.
And after the game, you have Baker, Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr two stars.
The league, saying it feels like a loss not good, should never feel like a loss when you win an NFL game, especially arrival.
Regain Steelers air in the playoff hunt.
Browns took him down easily.
No matter what you think about the Browns, you know Steelers rivalry over what you think about steals, ability on offense.
Important win for the Browns, regardless of the history of it all.
The seven Baker didn't look great, Um, but did well enough.
I'm still like a target obi jailer Whitmore, but all of this is starting to the back.
Steven Carlson's great touchdown catch injuries on the Steelers side.
Injuries on the Brown side was Morgan Burnett going down great plays by Joe Schobert.
Everyone all thrown away because of the situation with miles, carrots and once again really quick.
Just share the sounds were appropriate.
Some now which I'm doing now.
I'm if you're watching, I want to share that school too.
Uh, sharing this.
All right, My main point.
I've seen some people make it.
Which is kind of what I've been leaning towards is a It's okay to think that Mason Rudolph was in the wrong and kind of instigated it, but also agree that Miles Garrett went way over the line because he could have killed Mason.
If you have held in NFL helmet or just played football in general and held a helmet, those are soft.
Just cause mild scare.
It is such a giant of a man and could just swinging around like nothing that could have cracked Mesa Rudolph's head open.
So you have people going miles scare.
It should be criminally charged.
I don't agree with that.
Um, you have people saying that Mason Rudolph should be suspended, Just was long a scare, and Garrett's innocent.
Don't agree with that either.
I think Mason Rudolph was frustrated.
Garrett kinda e.
Even if you're a Browns fan, you have to admit he kind of cheap shotted Rudolph at the end of the game, twisted him to the ground, drove his head on the ground.
Um, runoff Should've just walked away.
Accepted it as a loss.
He tried the rip Garrett's head off and looks like he kicked him in the groin region, which you should never d'oh football field honor on.
Um And then Garrett went nuts, ripped his helmet off.
And even then, the Steelers, you know, the lineman were like, All right, just relax.
Holding Garrett back.
Rudolf still running at him, screaming, um, once again, unnecessary.
Rip is help it off, which can be painful.
So at that moment, all Garrett had to do was just, you know, You know what? I ripped his home.
Enough. This is dumb.
The linemen will separate it. No fight.
But, you know, I don't know what Rudolph said.
I'm sure that will be part of, like investigation with Garrett being suspended indefinitely, but he snapped, hit him on the head with the helmet.
Luckily, it wasn't the top of the helmet was kind of underside, which still probably hurt really bad, but could have cracked his head open.
So any Browns fans saying that Garrett shouldn't be suspended? I think you have to look at.
He should be suspended because he correct the guy on the head, not only during an NFL game, but during the prime time game.
Tens of more like I think it was like 16 million people was the estimate.
I'm watching this game.
Um, it's prime time.
The only NFL game, every sports show is gonna talk about it.
There's a big story line and he's swinging at him with Almond.
Can't do that, but like I said, it's okay to think Mason Rudolph was also in the wrong.
Pouncey also deserves a suspension for what he did.
Garrett's being held on the ground properly, you know, not being punched and then pounce.
He comes up and starts punching and kicking me in the head.
You can't do that either, once again on national TV.
So there's all these angles from the situation going on obviously very, very ugly situation.
Not good, but just the fact that so many people are yeah, sticking in these hard sides of I'm not moving from this opinion.
You know, Garrett's innocent completely.
Rudolph should be kicked out.
It's just I I think it's odd because it seems like a lot of opinions, and I obviously don't play professional football.
Um, but you can't like there's certain unwritten rules throughout all of this.
You know, I do agree that the helmet to helmet hits on the field are easily more dangerous than what Garrett did to Rudolph.
Could have been worse if he, you know, connected with him.
But the helmet to helmet hits are way more of a problem and what Garrett did.
But it's this unwritten rule of that not rule, but understanding that that stuff is gonna happen in the NFL.
In games, you're gonna have dangerous hits.
You could be seriously injured concussed, Um, but it's kind of the inserting other violence into the game.
That's not normally there.
You know, everyone's saying, this is over the line.
I thought, you know, on Sports Center last night, Damien Woody was a little dramatic.
Seem to be playing up a bit, but that was also right after it happened.
So you know it's going to be dramatic.
Scott Van Pelt's whole show was completely railroaded by the fact that Garrett I'm did what he did.
Still the game in general, though, like I was saying still had a non feel with the ugly hits.
The Browns had two receivers taken out for the Steelers.
Mak Wilson of the Browns tweeted a picture of him standing over a incapacitated juju Smith Schuster, which is not good, which he deleted right away.
Um, it was, You never wanna win being the dirty team, and I am a Browns fan.
Um, I don't think they're inherently a dirty team.
But when those hits start happening like, what do you do? You know, what are we doing? Those hits caused some Browns fans.
Garrett's hitting hits, helmets swing include ago.
You know we've been picked up by the Steelers for so long.
James Harrison took out Colt McCoy.
All this stuff, but there's a difference between being a fan and having a connection to a team for 50 years or so.
And being a player, these guys on the Browns and Steelers, most of them we're not around when you know these Colt McCoy Muhammed masked ball hits came against Steelers and James Harrison.
So you're equating this franchise, these players with this franchise, but it's completely separate, so I mean a wanting to see juju Smith Schuster get knocked out of the game is not good.
Are the receiver for the Steelers bleeding from his ear? Very ugly.
Look, once again, that stuff.
That's kind of the unwritten understanding that could happen in an NFL game.
It's the helmet swing in the calls for you know, it's it's mostly Steelers fans.
I think, um, if you really look at it like Twitter and which Twitter's difficult, too, because when you're searching on it, you have to kind of, you know, sift through who sang one who's being serious.
I know all that stuff.
But people calling for Garrity be criminally charged, which Mason Rudolph's agent mentioned in a tweet, which kind of got the conversation going.
I think that's a bit ridiculous.
Um, it's he's not gonna be criminally charged masonry and often at the press charges.
Jason Lloyd of the athletic, the whole thing.
And I went to the police station.
Um, he's not gonna be criminally charged.
He's gonna be suspended.
He's losing millions of dollars.
You know, Mason Rudolph is not.
I don't think he's gonna press charges.
If he did, then maybe he his role gets inflated in this and it's another thing to I. I do agree.
Garrett. He deserves a suspension.
Hey, like I said, he could have killed Mason. Rudolph.
Very serious situation.
Just imagine someone that big not just punching you, but swinging like a £6 helmet on your head ain't connected.
But based on what actually did happen, you know he's not gonna be banned forever.
I mean, you've got guys like Vontaze Burfict.
How many times did it take for him to be? You get his big suspension? I'm not saying that's good at all.
It's this weird kind of morality question.
Um, when watching the NFL, it's, you know, how much am I gonna tolerate as a fan? Helmet to helmet hits are ugly.
The game has been cleaned up a bit from the past.
I mean, there's a clip going around now, Um, it's been going around for a bit on Twitter, where it's like the 1970 something intro to, you know, the NFL Sunday and it's all these hits and every single hit would be flagged on for the current today.
The people doing the hits they be banned from the league used to have the ESPN jacked up segment, which I remember being a little kid and yelling, You got jacked up.
You're the change.
It's a come on man comedy sent a segment as opposed to those violent hits.
So you have a changing game.
Um, but even back then I mean, you're watching.
You're like me and this this is bad, like some of these hits are bad.
Um, do you accept the helmets? Helmets? But when it's an artificial, you know, thing being brought into the game, that's why it's weird.
And I think it's odd to, because people are making the comparison.
You know, in baseball, pitcher throws in a guy's head.
That's kind of accepted hockey.
Guys can be left convulsing on the ice.
That's obviously not good, but in a weird, twisted way, it's part of the game.
I don't agree with any of it.
I think it's down.
Um, stay interest in stupid, but it's part of the game.
But if you have a baseball player, swing is bad at someone's head.
That's an artificial.
You know something Friday that's not normally there.
It's comparing apples to oranges.
You can't make the comparisons between these things.
It's just very bizarre.
And another tank way I had to was that through the sports moments that when it's over, it's just odd if if you know what I mean.
It's just they're like it happens.
It was like Bottle gate with the Browns.
It's What did I just see? You know, um, the result has completely forgotten.
The Brown stayed in the playoff.
Forget the suspensions and all the fallout of that.
Just seeing the moment was so weird on TV.
I mean, there was eight seconds left.
You're just, you know, seeking a little chippy gari.
Let's you know, let's get this over with.
Um, but really, you know, they go, there's a fight and then the camera zooms in and you just see Garrett swing on rooftops head and then Ponsi punching kicking Garret.
Once you see punches Storm, that's my first cue.
Like Oh my God, something rather dance happening.
And it didn't really sink in until they should replace what Garrett did.
Um, and it just sticks with you because at the end of a football game in the Browns, one ugly game.
Like I said, some bad helmet to helmet hits part of the game.
You just kind of have to accept that watching football, even if it's obviously not good.
Um, but just totally changed the way I was watching the way I was feeling after, um, I knew right away there be crazy.
Takes on every single and wasn't looking forward to it.
But just obviously gonna be the case.
So really, where do we go from here? Garrett is gonna be out.
I mean, they're all gonna peel their suspensions and someone that Garrett Larry Ogunjobi is out for a game.
Brown's taken on the Dolphins.
Dolphins played Buffalo this week, and I I think they have a chance to be pills.
You wouldn't think that a few weeks ago, But you know, you have Miami a little bit of a win streak picking up two wins.
Miami wins only a game back.
I'm you got Miami, Cleveland next Sunday, nine days from now.
But if Miami wins, you know they're fighting against the idea of tanking.
The Browns are just a mess right now.
Myles Garrett is banned from the facility indefinitely, which is crazy.
But fare you are suspended.
Larry Ogunjobi is out a week.
I mean, Morgan Burnett is Achilles, you know.
Could guys hurt? I mean, how many safeties have we lost this year? We've been playing without our top two corners for a while.
Or find both. Finally back.
Um I mean, you're talking about a team.
Had a guy just in the past two weeks, we had white head cut for threatening fans and Dustin Fox media member.
You have until you can away finally cut after being late, which maybe not that big a deal, but also facing a 10 game suspension.
So he's like, Oh, now I got Garrett out for the year and indefinitely and I fell making a statement with him Ogunjobi out for a game with a cheap shot.
You know what had happened originally happened.
I thought, you know, Layer Ogunjobi saw what was happening with Rudolph and just said, You know what? No f this guy, I'm gonna shove them.
But at that point, Rudolph was just standing there away from the scrum.
I mean, he had been hit in the head with a helmet.
A month ago, he was knocked unconscious in the field.
See, he's a quarterback just just why should? But he shoved him down.
Rudolph turned around, responded with a certain curse word that, for some reason, replace kept showing.
No, just dumb, stupid.
And it kind of all goes back to Freddie Kitchens.
I did see Todd Haley was on Sirius radio today.
Sirius X M saying that it all falls on the coach.
I think you know Todd Haley don't really care for him, but may be bitter about the Browns.
We have them all.
These penalties, objections, suspensions.
It's the Browns are like the new Bangles in terms of it and completely overshadows the game.
And, you know, after the game, Myles Garrett was like, I don't think this overshadows our win.
Um, and I think in that moment, you know, obviously he's still coming down from being so angry.
Um, he's a young player.
He's 23 didn't really grasp of the moments of really what just happened, what he did, not only to the team, but, you know, to the fans to himself, he's cost himself over a $1,000,000 just in salary.
This year, he's gonna lose endor*****ts, Um, the rest of his career.
You know stays around for 10 years, he's gonna be remembered for that.
I don't think he's gonna have a reputation like Vontaze Burfict.
Um, if you're looking for any optimism of Garrett returning someone like perfect returning other dirty players.
Garrett's got me back in the NFL.
You got guys committing heinous crimes off the field who are back in the league.
I think this was more so.
The NFL making a statement of during the course of a game on national TV.
You can't be doing this stuff so he'll be back.
But you just wonder what? Why, why is this Brown's team? So in discipline? While we're getting somebody penalties after every game, Freddie Kitchen says, I don't coach penalty says it every game.
He says, We need the execute better.
You're not coaching penalties, but your team continues to get crazy penalties.
The defense's looks like they're headhunting out there, which is very bad.
Um, even if they're not, even if they're not doing it, it looks like it.
So what's going on? Why, why is this team has all these issues, all these problems? Why is it so difficult just to play normal football.
The Steelers were not going to beat the Browns last night, barring several pick sixes thrown by Baker.
Every time this team does something good, there's some negative aspect to it.
I mean, look at all their winds, Really.
You just look, the Jets win? Um, barely.
I mean, they struggle against the team.
Luke Falk was the quarterback, so there's not much going on for them there.
Um, the Ravens win was nice.
That was a positive thing that came during the PE Gideon's final game of the year.
Brown's had a good win.
Okay, Buffalo barely pulled it out against Buffalo.
Couldn't score at the goal line.
Um, really struggled.
Just frustrating on offense.
Don't look like a playoff team.
Okay, let's beat the Steelers. Let's make a statement.
Nice, you know, not great, but the Steelers do.
You have a good defense and we work them easily.
Now we're talking about this.
It's not where you wanna be in a four and six, the Browns Brown's can afford to lose one game, and even if they lose that one game, they're struggling because of tiebreakers.
Tough loss to Denver lose the tiebreaker in Tennessee.
I mean right now and the Browns or two and on the divisions.
So those tiebreakers air nice should be able to beat the Bangles twice.
The Ravens air should be able to get 10 wins easily, maybe 11.
I mean, they could win 12 or 13.
Um, they're very good.
Playoff hopes are I wouldn't say derailed by this, but it's we're losing.
A defensive captain should be fine against the likes.
Ryan Finley, Cincinnati, Cuyler Murray.
But it's just not good.
And I've been looking at, you know, the different take takes today.
Like I said, I've been trying to avoid Ah, Twitter a bit because it has been, uh, kind of not even depressing, but just frustrating, I guess.
Just, you know, it's it's never get searching stuff on Twitter. You're always gonna be frustrated.
Um, and on Twitter, you do have the option to mutes or block people.
But then you kind of put yourself in this echo chambers.
All right, let me let me bring shot.
My views only search Myles Garrett.
Okay. I'm immediately frustrated.
Even if you are a brand Street, and you think if you think he was wrong, you'll be frustrated by the takes.
If you think he was right to be frustrated, there's no winning.
And like I said, for the record, I don't think he was in the right Pretty crazy what happened.
But it's just like, what? What do we do? We were trying to reach the playoffs or four and six, which is not a good record.
And I think that's the Cleveland inherent.
Oh man, we're up to four and six run the table.
The rest of the year could make the playoffs.
But like a 12 team in the NFC, if Miami beats Buffalo and then beats the Browns, the Dolphins would have a better standing in the FC than the brands.
And we'll have to see how the Browns respond at home in that game.
I mean, they do have 10 days to get ready or nine days, so hopefully they can move past us and rally around each other.
But after that you gotta go to Pittsburgh.
It's gonna be like a classic Ravens Steelers game with Browns Steelers coming up.
I mean, if Rudolph spine quarterback still which he shouldn't.
Devlin Hodges should be playing for the Steelers.
Um, and they're fighting for a playoff spot, too.
So maybe a change comes, but that's gonna be a chippy game.
I'm kind of already not looking forward to it.
I think the Brown should win.
Um, I wouldn't go to it as a fan. Certainly.
Is a brown stand, um, dangerous environment? No fans.
Take A to C Chris's make fights in the crowd.
Fights on the field.
Um, it's just not gonna be good for 25 game, too.
We'll see if they shift to that time.
But just frustrating.
And that's That's the main thing, Miles.
I mean, you're gonna hate on Miles Garrett.
He's obviously frustrated losing playing time, losing a ton of money, just snapping.
I mean, you know, mist of a football game.
You're a little jacked up sometimes too much.
Obviously a guy.
You know, You take him down and you're frustrated.
Guy starts kicking, you ripping out your helmet, you just freak out.
That's not good.
Um, but from what I can tell us, a fan, by all scared is a good person.
um, he doesn't seem to be head hunting.
I'm just this hearing a little chippie off a scene.
But I mean, that's it right now.
Comes back next year and does the same thing.
Then he's gonna be one of those serial offenders where we're wondering what's going on with the guy.
He's a first round pick.
Those guys were supposed to be the faces of the league.
It's just not good and kind of my last point on all This is what Baker said after the game.
Which was another thing that if you went on Twitter, I'm kind of got a little frustrated by, you know, after the game, they're asking Baker what happened, and he right away was like, I you know, this isn't good.
Um, it feels like a loss O.
B J said the same thing once he saw the replay on the Thursday Night Football postgame show.
And you know people are mad at Baker that well, you gotta defend your teammate.
No matter what, Baker Baker doesn't want its like in baseball.
You don't want the other team to retaliate against you.
You don't want the next game.
The Steelers players who comes spearing Baker hit him on the head in retaliation.
So I mean, it has a quarterback.
You don't want to see your guy hitting someone on the head with a helmet, so I have no problem with that.
He probably the most mature thing he's done as a Brown was talking about that.
So you know, you could be mad at Baker, but that's just kind of a gram of the situation as a whole, because Baker is, you know, he's trampling football, tryingto win games.
He's not trying to deal with all this nonsense.
All the sides stuff that, you know, people get mad at him for all the science stuff, and he made a point to which is being misconstrued by the media, he said, You know, this is gonna answer the soap opera surrounding us created by the media.
Mike Floria Profootballtalk was having a Tweet storm last night.
You know, people say no.
Baker's cheap shot at the media.
They've created this crazy soap opera around the Browns.
It's just gonna add to it.
So what's housing in the room? It's just once again, people attacking it, a kid who's dealing with a crazy situation.
You just won a football game.
And immediately he's being asked what you think about the brawl on the field.
He was on the bench ready to go in the locker room and celebrate a win.
But now the whole vibe in the surrounding the team is negative.
So I think he handled it properly.
He didn't throw Garret under the bus.
Garrett threw himself under the bus, and that needs to be remembered.
You can't blame Baker Mayfield for miles, carrots actions.
You don't have to blindly defend people.
Um, who do dumb stuff and the rest of the tastes.
I mean, this is gonna be the main topic about the Browns until next Sunday.
And even next Sunday.
I thought it was crazy.
You think Cream Hunt comes back from his whole situation? Beginning of the last two games, a broadcast goes, you know, Cream Hunt.
Back from the incident, he had that Cleveland hotel.
Okay, that whole story line is just pushed aside for Garrett.
That's how big this situation is.
Like I mean, Karim Hunt is not in the clear, is not completely forgiven, but his situation is now pushed to the back burner.
That's how wild the scared situation is.
And it's gonna continue to be a talking point.
Um, I mean, for the rest of the year, Um, if the Browns do make the postseason by some chance, they're not gonna have miles scary.
So it's just really bad.
Really terrible situation, Um, dealing with injuries, dealing with suspensions.
Freddie Kitchens is already on the hot seat.
He was very upset at the press conference last night.
I mean, he was in the field with Mike Tomlin, too, You know, when they're starting everything out, he's right to be mad.
His team is on discipline as much as he says.
He doesn't coach penalties that does reflect on him, and he needs to realize that at some point, please understand that you are the head coach of the team and this is a problem.
So I mean, I'm frustrated.
I I'm frustrated cause I was really excited to talk about Brown's win.
Um, I was really excited to celebrate this weekend.
Watch some other football, All right, let's see.
Let's root for some teams to lose, and you know, it's less than 24 hours after the game right now, so I do think that you know, myself and other people in my same you know, mindset.
We'll move past it, you know? Well, we'll be fine, but it's just not. It's just not good.
And it's it's pull back the curtain on how ugly football could be, especially for those who had never played.
I'm just washing it for entertainment on a Thursday.
Casual fans People are casual fans.
Don't watch that people get their heads bashed in.
Um, so yeah, we'll move on.
We will, uh, continue on.
And I will continue talking browns.
Um, maybe some camps.
That SportsCastr Um, Look, I said I'd been off for a while with the Indians being done.
That was kind of the main focus.
Um, but with this brown suits, I mean, there's always brown stuff to discuss.
It's a never ending process.
You had Mac Wilson tweeting out a picture of him standing over judges.
Ms Schuster that was deleted.
Your whitehead two weeks ago, I think.
Just think about how big a controversy Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry's cleats were.
Think about how that was blown out of proportion.
Now look at this.
It's theirs ****ogy for the situation I'm in a tweet out after I had this broadcast, I'm going to mention it on here, necessarily.
But gonna tweet that.
So it might come back in a little bit, do some more Brown's talk.
Not so much care.
It might actually talk about the game.
I'm the positives from the game.
So remember to follow me out here also on Twitter and put it in the chant area at Kibitzer Rights.
Um, I'm here, Steve.
From C l e gonna be doing more brown stuff. More streaming.
One of the jump back into it.
Um, got McCool, Baker Mayfield sweatshirt on from where I'm from a clothing company.
So, you know, still wrapping the browns Gonna be downtown this weekend, but very frustrated.
If you have any takes on this tweet at me, let me know, huh? You know, I mean, I'm always down the top brand, so I will see you guys later.
