and we are back in on the second half.
The time just goes by too quick.
Diving right in here is he saw Connolly dish into Bogdanovich under the basket.
Allen comes up with a nice, clean block, No foul goes out on the Nets, and that's okay, Utah.
Retain possession, but certainly a nice book there.
Then turn over on the inbounds.
Taurean Prince, coming up with it.
Drops it off, too.
Kyrie Irving as we will dive in here in the third quarter and we'll wait to see as we dish back out.
Top the key with Kyrie Irving.
How the Nets can progress through this game and start to get themselves going open.
Look from beyond the arc does not fall.
That's okay, friends.
Go ahead and just continue to try to find ourselves.
Find our rhythm and see if we can stretch this 68 53 lead as we head through the third quarter and move on from there.
Knocked down look from the Utah Jazz, 68 to 56 on a three point attempt turn over on the Brooklyn Nets there, and certainly something that we want to make sure we keep an eye on as we move through.
The second half mentioned that things were going well for the Brooklyn Nets in the turnover department.
So you know you want to eliminate things that were negative.
And certainly that was the the struggles with the foul concerns from a defense perspective and then on the offensive side of the bowl.
Continue to maintain the things that you're doing well.
And that's attacking the basket, getting to the line yourself and avoiding sloppy plays like turnovers.
As they say on right there.
Gobert will go to the line for two here.
Be interesting to see if the Nets can get themselves back into a rhythm and avoid these issues.
So resetting the lineups here for you in just a second as I settle into the second half as well, we've gots he starting out there. Well, there was.
It's the fourth personal foul for Jared Allen on Gold Bear.
Obviously, it's been a problem for him was problem for the last game, so, you know, is usually the live same starting.
You know, we saw from both teams to start the second half here.
Gotta be concerning that.
He's having an issue.
Just, you know, it's not necessarily about getting stops or not.
But if you can't avoid the foul issues, it's gonna make it hard to find success at any point in these games.
Joe Harris looking for look like, uh, going to be Temple on the outside, their temple trying to cut towards the baseline.
Joe Harris thinking he's gonna pull back up.
Second of the quarter early for the Brooklyn Nets.
We'll clean up on the side there by the crew, with some spillage coming from a young fan there in the front row, although technically he was hit by Joe Hairs with basketball, so you really can't blame him For a Kenyan, it's like a starting from Brooklyn Nets.
We talked about them having issues in the third quarter of games and tryingto have that rhythm.
Don't let teams, you know, push back against you.
Don't let a team that you have any 15 point lead on, find their rhythm and start to find themselves a way back into it is Connolly drives in a lean, kicks out to Mitchell Mitchell fakes the three driving Elaine scoop up and under, gets the friendly roll and it is now a 68 58 game 10 point lead for the Brooklyn Nets.
Yet to score here in the second half open look from downtown does not go down for Temple, read down by Bogdanovich and Mitchell.
Bring up the court the other way, drives through the lane, takes on Joe Harris and gets it to fall once again.
Looks like Mitchell took a bit of a knock there, and it's gonna timeout.
Call here from Kenny Atkinson.
We'll see if Mitchell is any issue there.
Look like maybe just down in the shuffle on on the finishing of that play.
Got a little knocked up bumping bodies, but looks like he's going to be all right.
And just like that 10 14 to go here in the third quarter, the Nets find themselves with a lead shrunk down to 68 60.
You know, it's an interesting thing when we talk about it.
When a team does something consistently good or consistently bad, right? Well, you don't consistently well, it's easy to say that's how easy it is.
You knock down three point shots from the perimeter, you distribute the ball well, you have a good defensive position and you communicate all those things for you to say Yes, you check the box on it.
Yet sometimes we think it's why are you doing the bad things consistently? And it's just habits, right? You know, and you can go one way with it like the Joe Harris passed there.
You're trying to communicate with his teammate, and that's a new player in Garrett Temple with a guy who's been within the system, and it doesn't really matter about them being the same system or not.
It's just not being familiar with the player, And that's where we've seen a lot of these sloppy turnovers come from for the Brooklyn Nets early in the season.
And then the other things, though, like taking fouls as Jared Allen has done in this one.
That's the kind of thing that you want to see teams get away from C players get away from because that is a trend and then it becomes a habit.
And then if you get into a bad habit of not going straight up when you're underneath the basket, especially if you're a big man, go straight up and down, be a presence.
But don't found them.
If they're gonna get the bucket, they're going to get the bucket.
But let's not turn it into a compounding a problem of giving a point and also then taking yourself off the floor because, as we've seen in this one already, Jared Allen not able to get into a rhythm offensively because he hasn't know to be on the court because he's having the foul trouble on the defensive side of the ball.
So these are some of the things that I think you want to see.
Certainly young players work away from here, and I'll be curious to see how again, with the foul trouble issues, expect that Claxton run Musa, who gives them length.
So you're gonna use music to spell Garrett Temple before maybe you move into no other.
Nawab is rotating in there with Joe Harris.
I would think that Klaxon has to get a longer run here now, as Alan continues to move into foul trouble in the third quarter and then, of course, DeAndre Jordan, Can he maintain just, you know, some level of consistency is he plays extended minutes because as we touched on consistently, his consistency, But as we touched on throughout this year.
He has struggled a little bit, you know, to play within this system.
And in spite of being able to pad those stats, it certainly hasn't been a ah plus a net plus rating for DeAndre Jordan on the court.
So the more foul trouble Jared Allen gets into who has one of the best plus plus minus ratings on the Nets is the more the town does Jordan have to play, who has one of the worst plus minus ratings on the Nets.
And that tends to mean that you can see a team of the Utah Jazz who are necessarily offensively strong, worked their way back into a game, come back in the live game action, and Kyrie Irving takes the top of the key tryingto work against O'Neal.
Fumbles the ball and I stopped by O'Neill against the Strip.
Gets it to Conley.
Another turnover for the Brooklyn Nets in quarter number three.
Connolly gets it over to O'Neill.
O'Neill tryingto work around with Ah Mitchell, who is rotating now into a matchup against your Harrison Corner Connolly Down.
It's the lean as Alan covering him.
They try to get the ball to go Bear who they do on a switch.
Alan out on the perimeter defending.
And it's going to be an open look essentially for Connolly, who knocks down the three goal up toeing the line two pointer, 68 to 62 a nine run to start the third quarter for the Utah Jazz.
We saw this in the first quarter as well, and we saw the Nets fight back and turn that trend.
Kyrie Irving tries to get a three off of the Alan screen, can't knock it down, and Utah will come back with an opportunity to cut into what is now a two possession game.
Spackle and that of Mitchell tries to drive down the lane.
This one's going to go against Garrett Temple.
My apology is gonna go on Joe Harris.
As Mitchell came off, Harris tried to reach and caught him on the forearm as he was driving down the lane.
And again, this is That's one of those please, and you know, once again you're showing some consistency on defense.
You're trying to be a pest.
But in that instance, when he's driving through the lane, it's either full commitment or not.
You reach all the way in there to try to grab it that ball, or you have to let him go through and trust that your big man is going to try to help in coverage there.
Now it's hard to do it when you have Jared Allen, who has who has his own foul trouble issues.
But at this stage of the game, you cannot be sending Donovan Mitchell back to the line to knock down.
To get this in within a four point game now to possession and that's still looking for their first bucket as Temple brings it up gives it to our top of the key.
Back out the temple for an open three point look can't knock it down.
Joe Harris fighting but cannot get the rebound over Bogdanovich and Mitchell works off the elbow rimming, often out after banked off the backboard there and then try to move in transition here and settle into their offense a little bit.
Gonna be interesting to see how they try to get themselves back in action here as Temple drives the lane, look to get it to Alan Turnover number four.
I think it is quick outbreak, and Bogdanovich finds the easy open look up and in two point game with 8 30 to go in the first quarter and again NetZero for for this quarter, the Utah Jazz.
It started out five of seven shooting, 70 70% for the field in the quarter right now and as we look a touring on Prince finding Joe Harris, top of the key doesn't go for the shot.
Ditches it off the Temple Temple around the horn, too.
Kyrie Irving spots up three pointer off the mark.
Rebound, Bogdanovich and now going the other way.
This is, This is we talked about 30.
No run to start the quarter and no foul call here.
As Mitchell was driving the lane got banged up there.
Pretty bad Foul will be committed on the perimeter by Bogdanovich against Taurean Prince to prevent the easy score.
This is four minutes in the game action here, and the Nets have yet to put up any points here in the third quarter, continuing this season long struggle of coming out of halftime and still being consistent and having a rhythm.
Very surprising to see this, though, coming on the heels of what they were able to do in that first half.
So can't Love can tell what you're seeing if you're just checking back in with us here as the Nets in down and try to get back on track, Hiring step back three is third attempt of the quarter.
He'll knock this one down and give the Nets their first points of the quarter.
Four plus minutes into game action, though they still do.
Lead 71 to 66 and Connolly's been assessed.
He gets it on the body.
Foul number five.
Jared Allen getting caught in the air on that one.
Inexcusable from him.
Go ahead and walk yourself right over the sideline.
I mean, it's honestly, now it's on a switch.
He gets caught in no man's land.
Didn't but he leaves him off for him, but he just flat out can't do it.
Give give the easy layup fifth personal foul with 7 43 mark here about See, the Nets have to get into their bench here and figure out a way to manufacture size on both ends of the court, specifically on the defensive side, because you can certainly anticipate that the Utah Jazz were gonna try to go to work through Rudy Gobert.
Now that you've lost a big man, probably for the remainder of this quarter and certainly for the initial stretch in to the fourth DeAndre Jordan checks interim place Jared Allen and I will say, if you're Utah Jazz fan, you have to love you.
Seen from Conley has been attacking.
Get into the lane, has had a number of nice pull up jumpers there, knocks down the second free throw 68 71.
Here was 7 43 to go in the third quarter, but the woes continue, and I'm gonna take a look here as they're gonna call a foul on Oh, check in my line here and not really got the foul there on.
It's gonna be on on meal reaching over the top.
But they tried to get the ball into Irving inbound from Temple den.
Woody has checked into the game with DeAndre Jordan.
You got Irving driving to the basket up off glass and in no foul call, though everyone probably want one.
Looked like it was clean body to body action there.
And you can see that Irving now who has taken, I believe, 4 to 5 shots here in this quarter when you started to see the game get away from the Nets as Mitchell rises up to knock down a two pointer just off the elbow.
Once again, he's been loving and finding that spot frequently throughout the game here for the Nets.
But Irving seems to be starting in that attack mentality where if it's necessary, I'm going to take this on.
He drives right through the lane again.
Takes on, too, can't get the up in order to go.
Wanted a foul call.
There once again does not get it as Connolly comes down in the other direction.
Working off the gold bear screen can't knock down the three point attempt, and daughter Jordan cleans off the glass on an easy rebound, gets over the dead body to head down the other way.
Dunwoody, driving the lane, kicks on the Temple Temple out to Taurean Prince, pulls up, knocks down the three bowl, and that is a much needed bucket there from the Brooklyn Nets.
They continue trying to find this rhythm, but you talk about the N B A being a game of runs the Nets have managed to hold off the first initial wave still of a six point lead here.
Let's see if they can extend themselves back out and get and get right as Bogdanovich hits his little pull up jumper as well he's got.
He's recovered nicely from his early game struggles, certainly, and it remains of four point gain now 76 72 here as then when he works around has spent ah D'Andre Jordan.
Oh, DeAndre, Jordan Screen can't get up with the other Jordan and tax the glass gets the rebound, gets out the Temple Temple almost fumbles it out there but recovers.
He's lost his dribble.
Picked it up there, and we will not see a time out.
Called by Kenny Atkinson.
Smart play from Atkinson as you saw the missed field goal, all pretending opportunity by dimwit.
He going in the basket.
A nice recovery by DeAndre Jordan on the rebound.
And then ultimately, once he picks up the dribble, you don't want to find yourself committing another early turn over here in the third quarter, so called time out and try to regroup the unit.
We will just go ahead and touch based on what we see in the full box score as we've worked our way through here.
Turnovers now for the Brooklyn Nets are up to 11 so you have committed once again.
Another was at 54 turnovers already in the third quarter, Certainly not what you want to see from that standpoint.
And then Kyrie Irving at 17 the first half now already up to 22.
So five quick points for him in the third quarter as well.
Field goal percentage is with Nets shooting just over 50% from the field and then, after a strong start there by the Utah Jazz on a 13 year old run, shooting 45% from the field and getting themselves right back into this competition third quarter for the Utah Jazz as well.
From that standpoint, you weathered the storm.
I think it's about as bad as it could go out of 13 run about as bad as it can look, having to tear down and pick up another two fouls.
So certainly you're gonna have concerns here.
You have some things to figure out.
I'll be curious to see again when Kenny Atkinson needs to go to the bench beyond DeAndre Jordan.
How they'll look to spelling because remember, you still also have now Joe Harrison foul trouble.
You also have Spencer Dinwiddie and potential foul trouble here, so they're not out of the woods yet.
In terms of figuring out, you know, how are we going to navigate getting enough players on the court? Not, And it's not just offensively, Mind you, you know the shooting can come. You can have car.
You ever take it over from a defensive perspective? Spencer dinner.
He's a guy that's gonna that's going to be covering it has been covering Donovan Mitchell of times.
You know Joe Harris has been a pest, is worked over the screens, is bothered Bogdanovich for stretches in this one.
So you certainly need to think about it on both ends of the floor.
And when Joe Harris, in a game you've been leading, has not been taking shots from the perimeter Now, all of a sudden, as we mentioned, this is where it could become a little bit more of a glaring issue.
He doesn't have his rhythm now, so now if you want to look to him in this third quarter, even though Joe Contento get himself hot in a hurry.
You want to make sure that he is ready to knock those down.
The opportunities come right now on the broadcaster checking out.
Remember, the Nets were going ahead in from this Utah matchup.
Take on Denver and Chicago on the 14 16 before heading back home to take on the ER Indiana Pacers.
So you know if you're working through a West Coast swing, certainly the first West Coast trip off the year you be happy to see if the Nets can convey that three and to record and an opportunity staring in the face to be, ah, head to toe one in this road trip before you go to a tough matchup and then potentially an easier one with the Chicago Bulls, who have struggled early in this year.
Nets inbounded in the corner, spent stupid.
Anybody rises up, bought a bad three.
But Kyrie Irving on the rebound out story on Prince, driving in at foul line, takes up the dribble temple.
Three knocks it down.
Oh, no, I'm sorry.
Get that so far off the mark that was actually under the rim and an easy rebound for the Utah Jazz going the other direction.
I don't typically think of Spencer.
Ah, Garrett Temple has a pullup three guy like that, the way you faded away.
But nevertheless, on the other end, Bogdanovich misses a three point attempt there.
And then, when he brings it back up the court going the other direction, he scoops up in around gets, gets O'Neill going the wrong direction.
Easy bucket for Spencer Day money.
If you can keep himself out of foul trouble here, certainly a catalyst that you'd look for the Brooklyn Nets to get themselves right on the court right now just to give you a lineup.
Irving as Connolly works with Lane and cannot hit the floater.
Prince Irving, Temple Jordan and in Witty and four of the Utah Jazz Bogdanovich, O'Neill, Gobert, Connelly and Angles now on the floor for them.
So Ray now is the Nets try to work in their offense. Got Spencer.
Did anybody out there with gold bear on a switch? He drives against them, tries to attack right to the basket.
They're not gonna give a foul call there, and it's solid defense from Goldberg prevents the look from Dinwiddie easily could have gone in.
But as we've seen so far in this one, go Bear has been an impact player on both ends of the floor.
And now, with the O'Neill driving the lane, they're going to call a push off their turnover for the Utah Jazz.
You see here, you know, we don't mention this before they're showing it on the broadcast. Remus.
Well, minute totals we mentioned in the pregame.
If this is a game where the Utah Jazz air coming now into the back to back here, you can hope for as well.
And that can sometimes hurt you in terms of game, that elevation on your jump shots and ultimately may be committing some of the key knock down.
So we talked about he had that up.
Another scoop got rejected, got prevented by ah, Gold Bear on the last trip.
But another three pointer there for Spencer Dinwiddie and certainly started to carry the day and maintain that bench contribution from points as O'Neill find himself from three answering the bell 81 75 coming up on four minutes to go here in the third quarter.
All in all after a very sloppy start.
One that was certainly concerning right now, the six point lead it somebody once again drives the lane and gets absolutely swallowed up by Gobert.
Can't Can't knock the money for trying.
But that was a beautiful defensive play.
He shows that great wingspan and just throws that ball right out of bounds on Den Woody will reset the offense here.
You know, Certainly.
If you have a six point lead right now and you have an opportunity to extend this going in the fourth quarter, the Nets have recovered from an ugly start. Musa.
Now check me into the game.
You wonder when that run was gonna come as Prince goes Thio DeAndre Jordan back to Prince back to Jordan in the two man game.
And we're talking about a travel Cole against DeAndre.
Jordan shuffles the feet as he double clutch, trying to go up to the rim.
So you got muse on the floor.
Now we look to see if he can carry or some that positivity and give the nets and additional spark here on the offensive side of the ball and look to see if we can find Ah, some someone else beyond.
Didn't Woody on the second unit to carry the day here when you need some of your offensive weapons from starting unit.
Really interesting to see if Utah, at the same token as they missed a jumper in the lane, can find their offensive rhythm and consistency.
After having that strong start, this one's gonna be Joe Harris swallowed up under the basket once again, this time by Jeff Green and a foul called They're taken by DeAndre Jordan looking to avoid the breakout Joe Harris get down the lane.
But again, one of these things were a lot of these players.
Joe Harris is kind of turning in that trend of Spencer dimly where you're driving that Lincoln do you get yourself cornering the basket? There's not a lot of places to go there, and really, at that point becomes a somewhat easy defensive play when you're going up against a larger A perimeter.
Players certainly story on Prince comes out of the game and incomes Nicholas Claxton.
That's what we're calling for 1/2 time and we're seeing it here.
The three minute mark, interesting to see as a foul call against Musa here on the perimeter trying to guard against Moody, eh? Uh, excuse me.
Now you got Claxton in.
Offers athleticism of the defensive side of the ball.
Give you some size If you want to take on Jeff Green.
That's what they're looking to probably do with him.
His angles of the little line to shoot a pair.
And then we'll see if Musa again if these guys confined that rhythm right now, you only have currently on the on the floor is Joe Harris from the starting unit.
So you flex Joe Harris into this second unit.
That means that if I didn't would, he can drive an attack the basket and get some opportunities for himself.
But you have to identify Joe Harris is being one of the primary scores here on a unit that has klaxon and, you know, DeAndre Jordan's certainly along with Musa.
But Joe Harris is the perimeter presidents here for them to knock down three point guys.
Angles connects 81 76 3 and 1/2 to go 3 26 to go here in the third, music comes back to get the bowl and bring it up.
The floor is something we saw the first half with him.
He is the one on point, letting him would he be off ball, probably letting him spell a little bit.
Jordan floats in the lane bank shut off the backboard and in 83 70 16 when he continues to be the catalyst on this second unit carrying the load for the bench and as they alert the stat line here 29 to 10 Ben scoring.
So Nets have added an additional seven toe.
One takeaway here in the second half and my goodness to DeAndre Jordan.
Just swallow up Moody A in the lane.
He's going to go the line for shots here.
But wasn't this is all I will say.
This is one of those times where Johnny Jordan goes up on the block and I want this is what you want to see sometimes even from Jared, and you're gonna take a foul, take a hard foul, you know, he goes right over.
It helps moody up not trying, not trying to do anybody dirty on that one.
But be a physical presence, trying to deter the team from one to get down low there.
Well, then you don't necessarily worry about taking a foul because they try to avoid getting into those kind of matchups with you.
Now the concern that we're of course going to look at now is that's a couple of fouls there for DeAndre Jordan, and you see DeAndre Jordan on the free throw shot.
Let's Nicholas class and gets his hand.
Get his hands on that bowl there and get a feel for it here in the second half.
Hasn't got a chance to really touch too much. There.
Made number Make number two there for Moody, a 83 78.
And now Toby didn't Buddy coming up the court to facilitate once again still with Harris, Musa DeAndre and klaxon drives into the lane dishes, too.
Oh, this is Jordan.
I think. Maybe he wanted to have that pushing the back there. Call.
It turns out, to just be easy.
Jeff Green against clacks and klaxon hold his own.
It's a maid basket.
But again, and I'm not always gonna speak lonely about this kid.
Informant made Jeff Green rise up and knock that down three point game to 30 to go.
Here's the important stretch for the Nets.
They staved off that run.
Can they get this lead? Just extend it out a little bit more here.
Oh, good gravy, Spencer.
He goes up to DeAndre Jordan.
He throws it down in lands on top of the defender and excuse me jam from DeAndre Jordan.
Five point lead.
Here's a cup on two minutes to go in the quarter, and Mitchell works down low against Didn't Woody trying to work through the lane, gets the shot off, does not go front rim rebound and gets it back up in mental, working hard on the offensive line and to keep the Utah Jazz in this game right now.
And as he come upon a buck 50 to play here, Musa has the ball on top of the key drives and lane, and we'll draw the foul against Moody.
And and this is what you wanted to see from Musa as they re show that highlight of just as an excuse me leapfrog move from DeAndre Jordan, I will say on the second unit.
Didn't Woody and Jordan have found that rhythm on those alley? Oops.
It has been nice to watch, and in a game like this where you need someone to continue to give that spark.
I'll take that all day long from from DeAndre, Jordan.
Quick find from DeAndre, Jordan down in music, cutting the basket easy up and in.
So Musa, continuing that turn from the first half being effective, drew a foul on the inbounds.
Get nice, nice feed from DeAndre.
Jordan knows how to pass it from the Big man position, and they make it happen.
And then, once again, turn over here for the Utah Jazz and the Nets again.
Here we are in a minute, 30 to go five point lead.
Let's kind of push this thing here if you confined in money for one of those beautiful spot of threes that he loves so much.
Try to keep the youngster clacks and involved.
Right now, 51% from the field for the Brooklyn Nets to 45 for the Utah Jazz is doing what he comes around.
Claxton screen drives the lane, beats Colbert to the bucket, puts it up for to a seven point lead.
Now the Nets, on the other end with Moody A working against Musa, drives down into the lane, low dishes out to English Top the key taking on Tim, Buddy, straight down the lane does not go.
And it is DeAndre Jordan able to get that rebound.
Here is Musa Dish from Deng? Witty.
Can't get it on the front room.
Three point attempts.
Claxton tapped it around.
But we'll come back the other way.
As Joe Harris tried to prevent Joe Ingles.
Easy look into Mitchell.
Up and under and once again, cut down to a five point lead.
56 seconds to go here.
Nets had an opportunity there. Open Look for music.
He took it. Didn't knock it down.
We still like what you saw here in this last handful of minutes.
Certainly recovered for some early struggles here in the third quarter for the Brooklyn Nets.
44 seconds to go here with 10 seconds on the play clock.
Didn't Woody on the bowl.
You have 200 Senate screen pull up three off the rim.
Not gonna have an NFL coal right there on the three point attempt.
Take a look here on who we have on the foul and Spencer Dinwiddie will go for three Here.
It was a star just tried to step out, but you let you know he the defender comes right out into the landing area of Spencer Dinwiddie.
I'm not, you know, um, a steak quote, unquote.
And it looks like that's going to be Bradley trying to step out there, and we now have Looks like gonna get a little bit.
Yeah, get a time out here so we'll take a beat before Spencer.
Then we will go to the line and they're going to review just to confirm that he was behind the three point line.
And I think it's just that his followers follow through and landing on that was was Ahh, you know, to to foot stretch forward.
So will confirm a three point shot here and on the sideline right now. You have.
You have DeAndre Jordan communicating heavily with with music, communicating heavily with, you know, Nicholas Claxton.
These are some of the things, you know, We talked about this on the podcast a lot. Certainly.
I don't want a harp on the negatives around DeAndre Jordan.
One of the things that I take is as a massive positive for them is that he has been a veteran presence.
He has been very willing to communicate.
We seen that at the home games from, you know, Kevin Durant getting in there with the young players, telling them what they see.
You know there is no substitute for what you are able to learn on the court just through playing the game.
So certainly in the time out, in a time when we've seen the net struggling communication, these are the opportunities.
You get a little stretch here under review.
Go ahead, get together with your with your teammates there and communicate about some rotational things that you've noticed specific to this game.
It's not about season long cures, but if you say Hey, I'm noticing that Donovan Mitchell wants to go here, try to cover me under the basket on the weak side.
Always try to rotate.
So I just like to see that look as we move through the third quarter here and they're going three.
I I I told you the referees could have called me first here if they wanted to, and I would have gone ahead and taken care of that for them.
So as them windows up to the line for three free throws, 38.
9 to going on the clock here in the third quarter to five point game Ken push as far as to the campus to an eight point lead.
A flagrant foul on on Bradley, their little surprised on that one.
But, uh, we'll see.
That means that we're talking about the flagrant foul which did what he hits the first on.
And this is something that you've seen, you know, over the course of league, certainly.
You see, in this front room on the second shot there, certainly you seen this around the league that in these opportunities, you know, they're trying to eliminate the potential for injuries.
Any time you see the guys land underneath a three point shooter, they're gonna go to review it.
Sorry, this is not a reaction you want from a commentator, but that is too Mrs out of three shots there for Jen Witty.
And then, in spite of the fact that you're going to maintain possession now it's a six point game.
Could have been a but six point game plus possessions again, Still pushing eight or nine here as the inbound comes from Musa to Jim Moody.
Driving Lane pulls up at the elbow, rattles out and it's gonna be going the other way.
And it is a call on the Utah Jazz.
I think you're gonna get O'Neill here against DeAndre Jordan. Possibly.
We'll take a look here.
It's gonna be on Joe Ingles.
It looks like, Yep.
Joe Ingles under the basket is trying its a bad matchup for angles.
He commits the foul, and now Jordan will go to the line for some classic DeAndre Jordan improved free throw technique.
Gonna He's gonna step up here, you know? He's gonna reference the one of this one of his teammates who you got, and then he's gonna go ahead and lock that Sean and Stephen you knock down the 1st 1 This has been something for that that that we certainly enjoyed on the podcast.
I think fans in general have enjoyed and you know, it's funny to coming over from his sense with the Knicks and other locations that Jordan had been with the Mavericks.
But here his teammates are very much engaged with him on this.
When he asked the question, someone looks right at him and says, I'm taking him.
And it's just one of those distraction tactics that DeAndre Jordan's utilized as he knocks down both and extended, the Nets lead to 90 to 84 30 seconds to go, technically, a two for one opportunity here just to close out that thought, an effective method of DeAndre Jordan is using and whatever gets the job done for you, right? Could've been a two for one.
But now, with 10 seconds on the clock on the shot clock and now coming in 15 seconds, shoot, Mitchell pulls up from deep off the back rim rebound by Joe Ingles.
So the Utah Jazz Ken holds for the final shot of the quarter here.
Mitchell backs it out, and he has Joe Harris guarding him there.
Swings it around and Moody A cannot knock it down.
So all things considered, the Brooklyn Nets weather the storm in spite of sputtering out of the gate.
There they do clean their act up and still maintain Now an eight point lead in the quarter on Lee outscored their 31 accident to 28.
Eyes were going on me and we will Oh, no, I apologize.
Have the role have the wrong box score up there right now in the third quarter, outscored 31 24.
That adds up when you have that 15 point halftime lead has been cut down now to eight.
But all the same, you still done an effective job of settling yourself down.
And in spite of the fact that Jared Allen picks up his fifth foul, I got to give credit where credit's due.
Once again, DeAndre Jordan has at least been effective.
He's shown some prowess around the basket.
He's been physical when these need to be.
He took a couple of fouls.
They're so certainly something to watch here in the fourth quarter.
But I have to like the way the Nets responded after some early concerns there, getting into the full box score.
I had highlighted the number of turnovers, right.
We're holding it 13.
So in spite of the fact that not being a great number overall with the way this first quarter started, that's certainly an improvement.
They had five turnovers in the 1st 44 minutes of that game action there, maybe even less than that.
They settled down, still go up.
A couple more will be interesting to see how they can tighten up in the fourth quarter.
You know, staying under 20 should be possible.
That seven turnovers in 1/4 so it didn't get back to that first half kind of mentality limit themselves to maybe two or three in the in the fourth quarter here would be a marked improvement from what they've done this season.
They think that 17 the last games to try to trend yourself in the right direction.
And as we've been saying, if you can avoid the turnovers, you avoid giving away easy transition looks for an offense regards of how strong they have or have not been the Utah Jazz over the course of the season, Open looks are always easy.
Driving the basket is always easier for about Donna Vitor Connolly, who has shown that already in this game on a number of occasions as we take a look over on on the Utah Jazz side of things, they have 10 turnovers.
So we talked about that right, highlighting from the first half.
They've at least been pretty strong, trying to hold themselves to to a lack of mistakes, waiting for mistakes from the Nets and then capitalizing And once the Nets clean those things up, you saw them trying to settle back in and got that lead back.
Bright spots, of course, is Connolly now to 14 in this one.
Donovan Mitchell, 11 for 20 from the field.
Once again, only 13 point attempt in that third quarter but 24 points contributing angle. Bear.
Nothing showing and from a point standpoint in that quarter, but has definitely done offense half the job.
From the defensive standpoint, I had a couple of blocks in that one.
As we get going in on the fourth quarter, action will reset the lineups here for his second.
Spencer DiMucci works against Joe Ingles.
Finds your Harris for the wide open. Three.
He cannot knock it down, and it goes back to finding that rhythm early, so he's ready to do it late in games when you need it.
O'Neill tried to drive and was denied at the rim by DeAndre Jordan in transition.
Did we get to class and tries to hit the runner down the lane? Can't get it to go of the conference from the kid, but a little bit off there is O'Neill has a wide open look from three and knocks it down.
Jonah Jordan not showing on the perimeter shot there.
90 to 87 As we get into the teeth of this game here in the fourth quarter, sensitivity follows through off the off the screen from DeAndre.
Jordan tries to go up and once again defensively, get your arms up.
It's That was Bradley on that one.
Makes makes, you know, Dead body.
And just on it no shot rebound, no foul.
It's something that you want to see Jared Allen do more of.
He certainly has struggled to as Klaxon does a decent job defensively.
They're against Moody A Even though the ball falls Still a nice job there.
We get back in here with music, bringing up the floor.
You have Jordan, didn't we? Joe Harris, Excuse me and that class on the floor for the Nets right now, as Dan wouldn't get the blow by for the easy jam and listen.
One of the things you love about Spencer Dinwiddie is he's not going to stop attacking.
He never is going to lack in confidence.
Who's gonna keep going to the lane? He's gonna keep trying to find those matchups, and right now he has been the catalyst here in the second half.
Along with Kyrie, Irving has been on the floor to help carry the load here.
Floater in the lane does not fall for Donovan Mitchell.
Be scrambles around, gets the rebound, moves outside.
And it's Jeff Green three pointer, and we are now at a two point game. Early action.
Fourth quarter feels a little bit like deja vu from the third, certainly, where the Nets were unable to find their rhythm and now the three point shooting, by the way, after it was so low and easy rebound attempt for a put back for DeAndre.
Jordan does not go now, just shooting 29% from me on the Ark.
So they're falling back to the Utah Jazz, and it's making this a tighter game.
And there it is, the time bucket on Dr from Moody A gets to the rim 94 all 9 47 to go.
Timeout on the floor here in the fourth quarter.
Oh, that is a brutal stretch again.
So once again, the Nets weathered the storm in the third quarter, were able to get their lead back established here in this one.
They tried to give that second unit a little bit more of a run with Joe Harris as well.
But unfortunately, you saw this.
You saw the Utah Jazz able to get themselves rated to this thing.
And now, for all intents and purposes, reset the game, right.
This is a 00 match up with 9 47 to go here, and it's just gonna be about who can who can get this going for themselves as we head down the stretch.
Now, you can obviously expect, though, that you're going to see you're going to see.
Certainly, Kyrie Irving, come in here started to assert himself on the offensive side of the ball who haven't necessarily seen as much out of music in that third going in the fourth quarter.
But I think he still showed well, and now the curiosity is going to be Are they gonna try to go back into that unit where you have no Wahba and Garrett Temple playing at times together? That really seemed to cause some problems on the from the offensive side against the offense for the Utah Jazz.
So maybe that helps stymie them a little bit.
And then on the offensive side of the ball, though once again, you don't give Joe Harris opportunities from the perimeter.
We haven't seen success necessarily now from Ah, Tori on Prince in a while on the offensive side of the ball.
So now where are you looking for? Rhythm? Didn't, but he's certainly getting it going.
You've seen Carrier and get it going, but those are two guys, and this is what we talked about about having that balance.
It may look nice in the first half when some guys were getting your points and you're up big, but now, late in the game, when you wanna have the opportunity to look two shooters who have been in a rhythm now he had to see Ken Joe Harris rev up the engines.
Cantorial Prince get back into the game action.
And as of right now, the question wouldn't be on time.
And he's not a resounding no.
But early returns in the third quarter and now going to the fourth quarter are.
We may have a struggle here, and it may come down to 10.
Kyrie Irving Can Spencer didn't, but he just carry this load and see this one out.
I want to go ahead and just take a look here and see what we have on the from from the nets standpoint and the foul trouble.
Go ahead and reset that for you.
So we know where DeAndre Jordan stands currently.
Right now in this one and what we can think he'd be reasonably expected.
Still a lot of time here.
You know, I don't You assume you're gonna get Alan back in the game here at some point to see what he can.
D'oh! The key matchup.
24 for Irving in Mitchell.
So they're battling this one out.
That's kind of what you thought you would see.
And in the secondary thing was going to be concurrently.
Keep that rhythm going.
And what do we expect in terms of who picks up the load? I think Spencer did when he was the easy choice there, for sure.
And it's kind of bearing out that way.
And now it's just about who can knock down these shots and remember the Utah Jazz on a 10 to run right now.
This is a team that isn't average is only averaging a little over 100 points a game.
And now it is lack of defense for the Nets as Irving comes back in hits from the elbow to give the Nets two point lead.
Because we're talking about the right bad defense and you know bad defense versus strong offense, strong offense, you know, versus bad defense in this game right now.
Utah's going to spike over their margins, certainly looks that way anyway.
And she could be about whether or not the Nets can maintain.
So what was interesting in that first half as a knockdown three.
Once again, Green hits it there and a one point lead for the for the Utah Jazz first lead since early in the first quarter.
Early in the first quarter, rather, 23 22 Irving work into the lane working.
It's Joe Ingles spin move up and over with a tap in for DeAndre.
Jordan looks like he wanted to call there as well, but most importantly, gets the bucket and Irving now has made a bucket and then facilitated a second shot.
So this is what you expected.
Still, with Musa Tori on Prince Joe Harris and DeAndre Jordan on the floor right now.
A bucket knocked down in the lane, 99 98 Utah Jazz Moody has certainly come on strong here in the second half of this team in his return from injury.
Of the jumper in the lane by Kyrie Irving going back the other way.
This is we're starting in the dark area here.
If you're the Brooklyn Nets are gonna get a foul call.
Their hope that it doesn't go against DeAndre Jordan and you have you sit down looks like he may have taken a shot to the mouth there in the lane.
He's just adjusting his jaw a little bit.
He'll be okay, though.
And now, like we talked about, though, you know this is where you're worried after they taking the lead, they have the offensive rhythm.
Moody is finding some success.
He actually gave Muse of the shot with the elbow.
It's incidental, but it does happen.
Certainly can't feel great.
But, you know, this is where now is you talking to start to extend a little bit Here.
We saw this. Not in the Phoenix game.
You go back into some other matchups where once the Nets get behind a little bit because they don't have the ability to get defensive stops.
It doesn't matter if you're scoring on the offensive end.
You start trading buckets, you start getting into that late game action and you're you're cheap.
You're chasing a lead and you can't get back to it because you can't get the stops on the defensive side.
So be interesting to see if they can find that here now, as Jared Allen will check back in.
You knew was gonna get his run at some point, and you needed to get DeAndre, Jordan and Opportunity tohave a spell here and recover a little bit.
And we'll just be a curiosity to see how long you can go 18 to go.
Can he be effective at either end of the court? If you can try to get him down low against whether it's gold bear or maybe it's gonna be Bradley.
Whoever wants to be in there certainly maybe give you an opportunity to get some offensive capital out of Jared Allen, and you can avoid those troubles.
Musa, also checking out in exchange for Garrett Temple, again gives you some three and D on the court now, and hopefully he can also help to stymie this offensive unit for the Utah Jazz have come to life field goal percentage in the quarter.
68 for Utah, 75%.
Nets taking eight shots on Lee, knocking down three of them.
As Irving goes up and tries to get it to Alan just too high, he grabs it and ends up throwing it away on a turnover.
The other direction you've got, Let's get back defensively and hold it off.
Mitchell resets Top of the key against Taurean Prince drives to the lane up in under and in, and now it is a 103 98 lead.
Five point lead for the Utah Jazz and this one we talked about as intense Get up court quickly and Joe Harris on the Feed Lumber Joe from Kyrie Irving knocking down the three and making is a two point game time out on the floor.
Here we go, Cole, about this all the time.
You want to know who excites me.
I get excited when Nicholas Claxton looks good coming off the bench because he's a young rookie and I get my blood pumping when Joe Harris knocks down threes because he is the three point champion from the All Star Game last week, he led the league in 34% last year.
He's shooting 50% from three point range this year.
Not utilizing him is sacrilege for the Brooklyn Nets.
So glad to see him get that look there on it.
Early feed from Kyrie Irving.
And certainly, if you want to get back ahead here in this game and try to take a lead, I would expect him to be a key component of it.
And we've already seen whether it was Kyrie making shots or facilitating to assist now in this quarter and also knocking down a couple of buckets as well.
So Kyrie getting his fingerprints all over this fourth quarter in late game action, and this really does become an important stretch here, if you're if you're the Brooklyn Nets receded a couple of times already early in the season, having halftime leads and not being able to close out having you know falling behind and not being able to recover, we've seen other teams able to come back against them.
Now it's an opportunity for the Brooklyn Nets.
Can you turn this thing on and say, Hey, I know we got down here.
We've had our mistakes, but we can find our rhythm and we can come back on a team and make a bit of a statement as you go through this Western Conference swing against the seven and three team these air.
Good test for the Brooklyn Nets, and you want to see the rise to the occasion here.
So as we wait for him to come back for the time out, I'm gonna go ahead and just dive in on a couple of these numbers here and see what we have on the table with, you know, fairly close on the field. Goal percentage.
49 for that's 48 for the Utah Jazz.
Like we said now, 31% for the Nets to 27 Utah, rising up just had 13% there in the first half and going into the third quarter as well.
So if they start to knock down those looks that's swung the pendulum also and outrebounding the Brooklyn Nets despite the Nets having some success with that early in the season, 37 30 to 1 rebounds and turnovers.
14 for the Nets, 10 for the Utah Jazz.
So holding steady for the Nets, eliminating turnovers.
See how eliminating turnovers and all of a sudden you don't have those same issues with the breakout runs from the Utah Jazz.
Now it's just a matter of defending the perimeter as they start to find that rhythm from downtown.
We dive into Let's take a look here right now.
Game leaders you have on the floor.
Kyrie Irving, leading with 24 for the Nets, got of initial 26 for the Utah Jazz.
You have DeAndre Jordan with 13 rebounds.
11 of those defensively Kyrie Irving also contribute with four assists, though he does have three turnovers in the game.
Connelly has those forces that has gone quiet in the 19 9 run to start this fourth quarter for the Utah Jazz, combining that with the seven plus point margin.
They had the third quarter eviscerating the lead for the Brooklyn Nets and putting us in a bit of what they would call a sticky situation back in the game.
Action 7 30 to go here in the fourth as Utah works its way down Moody, eh? Has earning on him and Jared Allen trying to shadow as well, trying to box out Gold Bear Knockdown shot four Moody.
And he has been, ah, force to be reckoned with here in the second half, earning pull up three.
We talked about it.
I love it when that everyone plays together.
And then we also know that Irving could take over a game knock down.
They're pulled the Nets within one, seeing how the Nets can line of defense, a little gold bearing the top of the key book.
In addition, off gets it out on the perimeter.
Alan doesn't at least Calum, though the gold Oh go Bear will get the easy bucket by the basket.
And at this stage of the game, when you're looking to get a little bit of a stretch here, Alan can't afford to take that six foul.
Need to give her a pretty for DeAndre Jordan, and we'll see how long it hold up another three off the screen for I, for Kyrie Irving rimming around and out as the action goes back the other way.
Three Point game Moody A finds it up at the foul line.
Kicks it out to excuse me.
O'Neill, O'Neill Find an open look for a teammate from three does not go down, and the Nets will try to come down those green again on another three point 10th that a heat check for him.
Kyrie Irving is taking the bulk of the shops from the offense for this unit.
So far, he finds Joe Harris on a deep three.
Cannot get it to go.
Not a bad look there, but once again you want to have these guys and I'm ready to take those shots.
Don't be surprised.
Ever been comes right back to him, though.
They have been communicating heavily as Donovan Mitchell cannot find the look in the lane and Jared Allen gets the rebound.
You seen Joe Harris and Kyrie Irving talking in time outs, talking after please, and you seen Joe Harris working with nothing but confidence, and they're going to go ahead and call the offensive foul.
It's going to be on Jared Allen on the movie screen violation that makes number six, and he caught O'Neill.
I know I I don't necessarily agree with it.
Look like O'Neill tried to kind of grab and throw him out of the whale.
Alan does kind of back into him.
There's been a bad game for Alan Bad.
Couple of games for Alan.
He fouls out with just four points.
And now look to see how to the Nets try to match up here with only DeAndre Jordan for size.
And then, obviously you look at Nicholas.
Klaxon has being going on some size as well.
However, what are you going to do when against down low and into the Rudy Gobert territory, where you would expect will try to go to work now and just get turned into a basket and make it hard for the Nets to overcome of three point deficit as we just highlighted needing to get defensive stops at some point, Connelly's gonna bring up the floor here for the Utah Jazz Temple on D there for him to get into Rudi, Go bears hands on top of the key.
He looks to dish nice job by Lane guarding by Kyrie Irving.
Not a lot in the past, on the nose to come back to get the ball.
Now you have Connelly front room on a three point attempts.
Fighting over top with Gold Bear setting a screen.
They're coming back the other way. It's Kyrie.
Irving finds Joe Harris step back.
Knock it down, My man Lumber Joe getting into his rhythm, tying this game back up, tying out by the Utah Jazz.
Well, if you wanted a barber, you want some game action.
If you weren't satisfied with a 15 point lead for the Brooklyn Nets, they won't admit it.
Exciting for you with 5 25 to go here in the fourth, Joe Harris, now connecting on 23 pointers in the quarter and looking to get the Nets in front here and hopefully get this road victory.
Oh, my friends, I tell you what.
I don't mind watching the Nets extend that elite.
It certainly looks nice, but tight game action certainly makes things more exciting, and we'll see if they stayed here with the broadcast, not going out short time out.
We'll see what happens here in these first couple of possessions, needing to again get a couple of stops, saw Temple working hard there on the defensive side of the ball.
Since he's entered the game and see if they could just stymie the Utah Jazz and get a couple of decent looks.
But now that you've come, even if you want again to an arms race, I would still take the Brooklyn Nets to be able to get that done here.
It's just gonna be a matter of 10.
They do it without getting the foul troubles, because right now, DeAndre Jordan again represents the only big man on the floor, and as they cut away there, go ahead and take a look.
China, I want to get these fouls pulled up here for you.
See, if we can just kind of reset what we're seeing.
Ah, who you want to say.
Concern with Spencer Dinwiddie hasn't seen a lot of time on the floor here.
He'll probably check back in momentarily.
He had had this three fouls early.
Everyone else is pretty much settled down.
I think the only guy that you needed to avoid there was Jared out.
Unfortunately, he couldn't He couldn't keep himself in the game.
Game action resumes with Donovan Mental driving into the lane almost lost control against it at the colony for open.
Look on, a three can't get it to go on Joe Hairs with the rebound.
We'll bring it up the court and we will look to see as he gets it down to Kyrie.
Irving sets the screen against Connolly.
Kyrie Irving works over gets it to DeAndre Jordan.
Third time we've heard this sloppy hands from DeAndre past a little bit behind him, but he can't connect on the alley oop and it's a turnover.
15 for the game for the Brooklyn Nets.
Coming back the other way, Connelly tries to get the Utah Jazz into a rhythm here.
Connolly taking on Temple Temple, saying Strong makes him adjusted.
Shot. Can't knock it down. Temple.
Bring back on the floor of the other way.
Kyrie, Irving Flash into the lane.
Nothing doing, DeAndre.
Desisted Thio. Joe Harris, Joe Harris.
Oh, up in undertaking on Go Bear and he gets it to go.
Listen, I still love love the way he attacks in the basket.
He gets that wonderful and gives the Nets a two point lead.
109107 with 4 19 to go here in the fourth.
Fantastic play there by Jo Hair showing body control, managing to get that shot up and over Donna the Mitchell again, a little bit out of control that it looks like they're gonna call the foul against Jared Temple.
Jared Temple, arguing that there's someone using a forearm against them there.
But in spite of a little bit of sloppy, careless play from Mitchell, the Utah Jazz will maintain possession on the side.
Out here with 4 13 to go, you got Jordan, Harris, Temple, Irving and Tori on prints on the floor right now.
Colbert, Connolly, Mitchell.
Bygone attention, Ingles.
As Connolly gets the and one driving into away with the up and in, he's at a very effective game makes back to back strong showings for Connelly, Utah Jazz fan.
You have to feel good about that.
It's a tie game at 1092 piece, with Connolly having the line to try to see if you can grab that lead again.
I don't love that call there, either.
If I'm being totally honest, he throws his body back a little bit.
Easy elevates into the air.
It looks like Irving just I mean, he swings over the top of them.
I don't see any contact there.
A little bit surprised that that Cole gets made.
In the end, the knockdown of the free throw shot gives the Utah Jazz a 1 10 109 lead.
Irving facilitating the offense across the floor, taking on Joe Ingles blows by, dishes off to DeAndre.
Jordan, who elevates through the lane, cannot complete the dunk, and a foul is still cold there.
And it's gonna go against Rudy Gobert, who cannot believe it.
We'll see here will be easy on it.
He puts out of four are gonna call him on the forearm.
I think the honor.
Jordan probably gets in there for that dunk.
If Goldberg doesn't extend his arm a little bit, just give me a little bit of opportunity to have to push that ball towards the basket.
Supposed today being able to get all the way through big free throws coming up here for DeAndre Jordan.
10 points, 14 rebounds, two blocks in this one, and certainly he's gonna be an important component down the stretch, knocking down the first shot here, tying the game of it 1 10 apiece with just under four minutes to play.
This is how you get some gray hairs friends and and it on Lee, the 10th game of the year for the Brooklyn Nets.
I don't know how I'm going to make it through another 72 after this one.
Front rim rattles away.
So one for two for DeAndre Jordan all tied up here.
Temple playing some high pressure, trying to neither bowl from Donovan Mitchell.
Connolly still gets it handed off to him.
Mitchell drives into the lane.
Pull up with your hair is reaching out on him.
No good Irving on the rebound will go the other way.
Once again, earning looked absolutely the offense.
Take a look at sea where he looks to go here, drives into the lane, Takes on Goldberg directly.
Cannot get it to go the Andre.
Join with the rebound and slam put back.
Tell you what they're looking for.
A push underneath the basket. There.
DeAndre Jordan playing some active role around that rim, making it happen.
I'll say I said it last game when they are not gone to gone to some trouble.
Even in that Phoenix Suns game where they got blown out, it was the most active I saw DeAndre Jordan certainly some positive to take away from him in this one, in spite of what we will highlight later in the postgame were some struggles.
Go bear driving loses the ball in the air.
DeAndre Jordan comes out the rebound and the Nets now with 1 12 to 1 10 lead hands on for Kyrie Irving as he takes on Joe Ingles.
Oops, sorry about that.
It's directly drives baseline scoops up in under, and they will not call the foul. The Jen.
It's just going to be, Ah, block side out for the Brooklyn Nets and the dish off here.
Nice job from Kyrie, Irving.
You reached in God's got his hand on that ball.
It was just effective enough to get that thing out and out of the air defensively against gold bearing the last possession.
Joe Harris gets it in to DeAndre Jordan.
Sorry into touring on Prince back to Irving on a three point bullet cannot knock it down.
That's still maintaining a two point lead here.
With 2 45 to go, we're gonna get down the stretch you're up to want to see them close this thing out.
Connolly drives into the lane with Temple on his hip gives up the dribble nowhere to go with it, and they will force him into calling a timeout.
Great defense from Garrett Temple.
He showed it in flashes a couple of times in this game and throughout the season makes Connolly get into the lane.
Doesn't get this chance to go me.
The basket has to pick up the dribble.
Nice coverage around from the perimeter goes for a time out.
So we talked about the Nets needed to just try to get a couple of these defensive stops, and they've done it to this.
I was gonna say impressive, but at the very least has been a concerted effort getting made by the Brooklyn Nets here, and forcing a time out like that in this situation means that you can hopefully regroup yourself.
Give yourself an opportunity to get into a nice defensive set and also, as we always seen Kenny Atkinson love toe have strong play, especially offensively coming out of timeouts.
Let's see what the Nets can combine here defensively and transitioning into the offensive end.
Maybe getting a good look, whether it's for Kyrie Irving attacking or out on the perimeter to a Joe Harris or a story on Prince whose name we have not mentioned in a while here.
But if he gets the shot, he certainly has shown the confidence that he willing to take it.
And you know, when we set this here just to give you an idea.
So far, Prince has been three or five from beyond the Arc Joe Hairs two of five carrier and just two of 10 with Temple going three of three that he hasn't tried one in quite a while.
Spencer Dinwiddie five Ah started two of six from beyond the arc as well.
So you know, if you're looking to identify who you want to get the ball into the hands up.
And by the way, that was one for five.
Temple from beyond the arc.
Three for three from the line.
So, you know, guys, you think you knock down the shots, you know, lumber Joe can always give you one, and certainly princes as looked good so far from this game.
Those were probably two guys that I would look to on that perimeter, you know, to get to get this bucket for you as you transition from defense to offense.
Highlighted score here in the broadcast 10 and 35 record for the Nets.
All time against Utah is trying to buck that trend.
Here is Joe Harris defends Bogdanovich on the perimeter.
Goldberg sets the screen Bogdanovich well short on the three point attempts, and the Nets have a chance here with two point leading to 20 to go here in the fourth.
Pull up three from Kyrie Irving off the back.
Rain could not get it done.
Big re down by Tory on prints over the back of Connelly and the Nets could reset this offense.
Give himself a second opportunity.
I said it before I love Kyrie, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone else get a three point attempt.
Their Kyrie gets the dish from all a beautiful feet over the temple with the pull up three miles away Air ball from Temple.
And this is going to be a timeout on, like maybe could've been shot clock violation there. Actually, I apologize.
You got little late, their temple unable to hoist in time.
So turnover for the Nets marking their 16th.
It looks like of the game to this point and now two point game with two minutes on the clock here, Mitchell, working in the lane, drives into the chest of Kyrie.
Irving gets the bucket, and we'll see what? See what the Nets could do here now, even even keel.
How do you facilitate the offense? Is it going to be a one man show through Kyrie Irving? Or will he get into the lane and try to look to distribute and facilitate? I'm not looking either way in terms of what's right or wrong here, but you certainly want to see a good look.
I, you know, even when the shots go down, those pull up threes from anybody or not great.
Irving uses the screen from DeAndre Jordan, taking on Joe Ingles into the lane, dishes it off to, oh, dishes it off to DeAndre Jordan again, bobbles the ball has the turnover.
Mitchell drives to the lane, kicks it out to the corner.
They try to go back into Gilbert, which they do successful underneath the basket.
Nice look from Connelly, and the Utah Jazz will take a two point lead with 1 31 time out, called by the Brooklyn Nets.
So, for all the positively highlighted there That makes the fourth time in this game that DeAndre Jordan has had the ball in or around the basket, getting and dish, getting a pass from Kyrie Irving and unable to gather and go up.
This one bounces right off his hands again.
He double clutches, and then Joe Ingles reaches his hand in there, gets the turnover and goes the other way.
And then, DeAndre.
Jordan also lags there for a second disappointment, whether it's in himself or otherwise.
And then on the other end, John Dory Jordan, by the way, late getting back.
So when the ball against kicked out to Connolly in the corner, he's able to find Ah Goldberg under the basket for a very easy to point play there.
So you see DeAndre Jordan at the point that this past goes in, he's trying to run back in from the freezer online.
Easy to, and we'll see if the Nets can recover from an offensive blunder and then a defensive lapse running theme here in terms of turnover and then, you know, lack of defense.
They're 16 turnovers at this point for the Nets.
The Utah Jazz have controlled themselves just 11 to this point.
So we talked about in the first half who was? Who could eliminate these? These errors? Utah Jazz have done it, by the way.
That's why the team is seven and three earlier this season, why they are 50 at home and why a team like the Brooklyn Nets are foreign.
Five currently early early on here.
But you know these kind of things at upto wins and losses.
This is the margin stuff that you talk about.
Game in and game out.
No free throws have been 2125 the Net 30 knocking down 84% 31 intense with 24 makes for the Utah Jazz.
It certainly has been fairly balanced, but by and large, the turnovers, some of the bad plays here late in the game have cost the Nets as they try to get back into their offense.
Front court inbounds play here with Temple on the bowl.
Joe Harris, Kyrie, Irving, DeAndre, Jordan and Tori on Prince Inbounds comes around.
Joe Harris shuffles his feet, works in off the line, front rim on attempt, but tapped into to DeAndre Jordan.
We're gonna get an extra next possession here as your honor during Can't get it out of his hands, Irving.
Now Irving goes off background.
Can't get it in a tick in from DeAndre Jordan Man, I am I am on a roller coaster with my opinion on what your genre.
Jordan is doing well and awful in this game.
He gets the rebound there gets me to the head into 105 to go here in the fourth with Donovan Mitchell on ball.
Kyrie Irving defending works into the lane.
Scoop up and over does not go re down.
Gobert Bucket, Gold Bear two point lead for the Nets and DeAndre.
Jordan just kind of loses track of the big body there and allows for easy rebound and put back.
Irving's gonna bring it across the corridor.
48 seconds to go.
It's all gonna come down to the next couple possessions as Irving thought about pulling up there against Joe Ingles.
Works around him, drives into the lane, gets the open look front rim, Miss Rebound angles out to Donovan Mitchell.
35 seconds to go, and we have a foul call against the Nets.
Quick, early foul call there, so it'll be side out, it looks like, and it's a 1 16 to 1 14 game rate now the inbound.
It may have been a May have been a clock issue.
There is, well, possibly so.
Inbounds to Connelly.
30 seconds to go here.
Kyra Van, A couple of nice looks in the lane kind of pulled the string on.
It went front rim Mitchell with the ball in hand, Temple defending fights over a screen from Connolly.
Connolly fought off the line from the three point shot, tries to go outside, and it looks like we are going to get a foul call here.
Connolly had lost it.
Connolly had lost it.
It looks like there may be a challenge coming here from Kenny Atkinson, and we're going to see what happens here.
They're called a foul on Temple.
Connolly drove into into a temple.
We'll see if this is clean.
If this is clean.
This may be a clean swat from Temple, and it would just be a lost ball there.
The only problem is there's no clear possession after this occurs, so it would probably end up being a jump ball scenario if the challenge goes through.
If not, it's a foul on Temple against Connolly.
Oh, man, these reactions are very close, and we're just taking a look at that Taking look, there's replace.
This is this is anxious times right here.
Boy, it is hard to tell in the replay, as they always say, You know, on the court, the cold it gets made.
Boy is gonna be a rough one.
And like you say, when it's been made on the court, cold is a foul.
It's hard to then turn this back over.
And I don't know if you're going to get much out of there in terms of being jealousy of these visuals, say here.
I don't doesn't look like a lot of angles are showing on the replays.
At least here on the broadcast, you see Temple move through the lane, and then if it's not a foul on that play, then it's just a turnover.
Looks this ball they'd be going on about.
There's a lot of components here to figure out.
Is it going to be? Is it going to be a foul on temple? Is it going to be a turnover call? Because Connolly through that loss that going out of bounds with no player necessarily around.
Are they gonna call a jump ball possession? Because no one has clear possession of this.
So weren't Harry times right now, friends.
I can't believe it.
This is This has been by far the most exciting finish of the game.
I think we've seen here in a handful after some overtime match up to the nets had early.
You keep showing this replay here.
If I had to say if I had to say I'm going to think that Temple may have touched the hand there, that a really, at the very least, it looks like that's what they're going to call because of the way it looks.
You see ball here, you see his hand, he comes over the top of it.
I don't know if he grazes it or not.
If he doesn't even if he doesn't make contact, then Connolly is just giving this ball of going out of bounds.
But this is such a tight call, and obviously a big call.
8 on the clock and a two point game right now, and the referees that finished looking at the review.
They're letting the score tables know what the call is going to be.
It looks like it looks like he's called for a jump ball.
It looks like they're calling for a jump ball here after.
So it's what I said.
Clean present, clean play.
No foul call on the court possession getting lost.
But there's no clear ownership of that ball from either team.
So they're gonna call a jump ball at center court here.
Now the curiosity will be will be between Temple and Connolly.
Are they resetting it and they're gonna go ahead and have DeAndre, Jordan and Goldberg jump it up here as, Ah, Temple and Connolly.
Well, Temple having a few chuckles about it.
Connolly, not so impressed by it will be interesting to see who goes into the circle for this jump ball.
It looks like it is going to be clean.
Reset Will be DeAndre, Jordan, going up, going up against gold.
Bayer is about a big as a place you can have in this one.
So this is just like going back to tip off time.
Huge huge plate coming up here.
DeAndre Jordan going up against Gilbert Johnny Jordan Wednesday, Joe Harris comes down with it.
Kyrie Irving facilitating the offense screen set by DeAndre Jordan.
Pull up three from Irving front.
Rid off by a mile.
Oh, foul Quick Found there with 4.
Look good. Look there from Kyrie.
Irving had every opportunity to make that one.
It's a nice job by yonder. Jordan win the tip.
Rates a Kyrie Irving.
And unfortunately, with 4.
4 to go here, Nets will try to deny Inbound.
See who the Jazz can get it into here.
Will try to go for the quick foul with two point game.
You were looking for a miss it somewhere on this court and into Connelly.
8 left on the clock here.
Foul on Kyrie Irving going toe the line.
Gonna be looking for Connolly to miss something here.
This is a brutal one for the Nets.
Once again, up 15 at halftime.
Cannot stress that enough.
Uh, missed opportunity here.
Irving really does have a fairly clean look.
Angles doesn't get his arm up there.
And you know, we talked about this on the other end of the court, right? Just showing on some of these plays.
Gobert showed out, used his size to extend and at least try to affect what Kyrie Irving was able to see their on his attempt.
1st 1 goes down for Connelly and that should just about wrap it up here Should he knocked down the 2nd 1 and make it a four point possession, brutal one here for the Nets.
If if they are to lose this year and even on the Mist with only 3.
8 is what becomes the problem.
There is a lot of time to get there.
There's the mist, the tip out.
It goes into the backcourt, the foul call.
And that's gonna wrap this one up with one second to go.
All right, So with one second ago kind of Donald Mitchell heading to the line, gonna go ahead and move into the wrap up here, this one not a lot to be excited about.
I mean, listen, a lot of positives take away from this match up, but, you know, from a Utah jazz perspective, you end up going over your total by and large.
In spite of giving up 114 points to the Brooklyn Nets.
You're now gonna crest over 1 18 and probably finished with 1 19 here on this one.
And as we started diving in the numbers, you know, hard to have a rhythm when you're starting.
Center goes out.
Alan contributing just 18 minutes, wanted to shooting terribly ineffective in this one.
Likewise is Mitchell knocks down that second Ah, field goal there and excuse me time out here by Kenny Atkinson just to get the Stars off the floor.
1 19 1 14 will be the finish here, 35 to 22 in the fourth quarter. Outscored.
So again, we saw this in another game.
They give up 48 at one point in the third quarter to an opponent 35 points to an offense that is not it.
So even strong, though again, we talked about this.
Players like Donovan Mitchell Connolly certainly coming on in this one, able able to get some things going on the offensive end.
And when Jared Allen gets into foul trouble, you eliminate having some defensive presence on Goldberg.
Not that he was signing him, but you know, you lose bodies on the floor, and then we've highlighted how DeAndre Jordan hasn't necessarily been a net positive for them.
And you don't have anywhere else, necessarily.
Toe look, a lot of disappointment on the faces of the Brooklyn Nets right now.
They're certainly not feeling great about it in spite of a smirk on DeAndre Jordan.
And that, of course, would be something that would bother me by default.
6% from the field on 41 of 90 29% just under 30% from the field for the 333 point arc, 11 37 overall knocked down 2125.
And certainly some late game free throw opportunities for the Utah Jazz live the only 16 to 26 fell off from downtown.
They're late on this one.
Didn't matter and, ah, 43 92 47% from the field in this one that's took time out, and we'll just do this inbound play.
It's interesting that they chose to do it.
I don't know what the intention is here.
An incredibly deep three point attempt from, uh, Tori on Prince final stat line as we move through, taking a look over at Utah side of the ball.
You know, the big man was, of course, Donovan Mitchell.
He goes 13 and 26.
He stopped taking three pointers in this one where he was over five years over for in the first half.
Didn't get to the line a ton, but don't need to when you're knocking down shots like that, plus 16 rating on the court for Donovan Mitchell, another big contributor for for them.
And this one was, of course, Mike Connelly.
We highlighted about this, right? They don't have a lot of strong bench play.
Well, guess what Conley gives you.
The starting lineup. Six of 18 from the field again.
+05 from three pointer.
Goldberg gave you 18 points, a CZ well, kicking in with five assists for ah for Connolly Total of 15 rebounds for Go Bear.
So he goes double double.
Connolly looks strong. Facilitating.
Bogdanovich had an off game, certainly, but still gives you a until 12 points on five of 13 from shooting, actually a lot better than initially look because he was having a hard time getting into rhythm to start, and then here it is on on the bench.
Jeff Green comes in not nine healthy nine points in the first half, the bench for the Utah Jazz.
Jeff Green's of finishing with 13 points, going three of five from the three point range.
Gets the line a couple of times.
Has four total rebounds of steel a block, you know.
Then you also had Moody a finishes with 18 points for eight from the field.
Seven of eight fromthe line got from line several times in this one.
Contributes three total rebounds.
Couple of assists.
A steel as well in this.
So those two players right there combined for 18.
Get a few points from Ingles and Bradley.
And then all of a sudden, you end up saying that the bench contributes actually was 18 2023 total points from the bench, which means that you know what they had done.
A barn burner, not a world burner, but when you only gave nine.
Certainly in that positive for them moving into that second half and being able to help sway sway the pendulum here in their favor.
On the net side of the ball, not allowed from Nicholas Claxton in this one.
In terms of bench contributions, DeAndre Jordan effectively becomes the start and also want this one plays 30 minutes.
I can knock him 6 to 8, gets the line three of four from the stripe.
He contributes 17 total rebounds, has four assists, two steals, two blocks attributed to turnovers.
Touma's well and does come away with a positive 12 rating in this 1 18 points.
What I will say is, there were there were four big, big place throughout this game in one late, where he could not handle the drop off passed from Kyrie Irving.
That certainly hurt them late in this one.
But overall, I can't be too upset with him.
Interesting that Spencer Dinwiddie goes 24.
7 to 16 2 of six from beyond the Oryx 67 of the stripe.
21 points, yet we didn't see him there in the fourth quarter.
I'll have to check in if there was any injury concerns late in the fourth quarter didn't necessarily necessarily see a lot of them on the floor again.
Is that scenario where you're talking about defense and trying to get those assignments and they end up looking to temple.
It seems like much like they had said in previous games.
Taking out Laverne and using Spencer Dinwiddie Lee on this one just gets a 24 minute run.
Little surprising for me, given that he was looking pretty affected from the field.
I was able to attack, maybe want to see him get some more opportunities there, certainly.
But he finishes a 21 on the bench, 15 points for the under George.
As we said in the nine from Musa, though not much.
Not much to talk about in the second half of this one.
And that's how the bench finishes out the night for the Brooklyn Nets and we'll just go ahead and take one last look at the overall stat lines.
Anything that we want, a gleam.
I mean, listen, reality again.
16 turnovers and this one.
They had seven in the first half, so you get nine.
It's an improvement, but certainly not what you want.
To see the 19 assists on 41 made three throws is acceptable.
You know, nets tend to be on the higher side of that s so I'm not gonna knock that too.
A lot of this Listen, I think just comes down to when you end up when you have a chance.
15 point lead at halftime.
You have a chance to bury your opponent when you don't do it, and you start to get into some offensive struggles for yourself and you allow them back in.
Now a defensive team like the Utah Jazz can get some stocks, enforce a couple of turnovers and ultimately get you kind of trying to play play ketchup, all which they did.
They got back into it, but But what ends up happening? You saw Kyrie Irving.
I know he knocked down one of them, but he put up two or three other pull up shots, not an offensive rhythm going on there and again.
That will be the final thing it will probably get out of here.
On is Joe Harris.
Joe Harris has five attempts from beyond the arc in this one.
It's not terrible, but he gets the bulk of those in the second half.
I think he was ove one in the first half, so this is the issue that I certainly seen as being a theme here and you know, Tori on prints didn't get a lot of looks there in the second half.
Now, certainly, Jeff Green has been is a defensive known first defensive abilities, you know, so they may have stymied it and denying ball capabilities, et cetera, et cetera.
But you gotta work more opportunities where Joe Harris is able to come off those high screens the top of the Ark and get looks at the basket from three.
And I'll make the case as well the late in the game.
You rather see him getting two or three more three point looks over some of the other guys.
He's two for five.
You're probably going to see him finish for for seven.
If you give on the extra, you know those extra few looks he's gonna knock out two out of three of the next ones.
They're So these are just some of the issues that have been a little bit of head scratchers.
It will be interesting to get in on the post game, wrap up and see what Kenny Atkinson has to say on this one.
And to that extent, as we tie a bow on disappointing loss and again.
Certainly eight and three Utah Jazz.
You know, they are a strong team, and I think this is gonna bear out over there over the course of this season where they're coming into their own here, but certainly gonna have some things to work on.
But knowing that they just got moody a back you still have.
Exume is not playing for you and Davis, former Brooklyn, that I think he's gonna be a nice contributor for them on the bench in terms of giving high defensive minutes for them.
So this is a strong looking unit.
Ah, by and large, So only thing we're gonna do here before we get out of here is just highlight where the Nets are going to be looking ahead to now as they as they move on from what was certainly a frustrating loss after the performance they had in the first half, four and six.
Now, on this season, we talked about it.
They're still in the middle of this road trip there, here.
Now, this is three games in a one and two record.
They're gonna go ahead and take on the Denver Nuggets.
That's gonna be a Thursday night matchup, er the highlight on TV.
TNT, actually, so you can listen to earning in the gang.
If you're a fan, as I am and then on ah, Saturday, they're gonna take on the Chicago Bulls.
So if you want to earmark the win against the Chicago Bulls, your one and two on the trip, this is an opportunity heading into that match up against Denver.
And what you can expect him to dio given that that is gonna be out on Thursday night, I will most likely come back to you on either tomorrow.
Maybe do, ah, game highlight.
But once again, as I said, coming into this one, we are going to be doing live plea by play action, carrying you all the way through Wired a wire, going forward on this season of love and getting the viewership and seeing everyone dive in on us with this.
