Oh, huh? Happen our rights.
Okey dokey, I believe.
What's up, guys? How's it going? Thank you, guys, for joining me on my SportsCastr stream today.
So the ravens made a bunch of moves today.
Quite a few moves.
Um, for those that don't know, I'm gonna be running through the moves that we did make.
Um, and for those that already know, I'm sure you guys were here to hear my opinion.
So for the ones that don't know, these are the following moves we've made, and it's quite a bit.
I was actually is pretty surprised.
So we signed Justin, Alice, who was a defensive lineman, and we also brought in another defensive lineman.
Peco is, well, former Bronco and former Bengal, and we also activated cornerback Iman Marshall from my are, so he's gonna be coming back.
I don't expect him to get a lot of playing time.
I'm sure he'll be a special teamer at best.
So that's what I expect.
Um, and then we did wave Cyrus Jones.
It's finally time that we move on from Cyrus Jones.
Um, you know, I mean, it's just unacceptable what he did against the Patriots, and he really hasn't ever been a great returner for us.
He's just been okay like he's made a couple.
I think you scored one touchdown, maybe two, but I think just one.
But aside from that, he just hasn't really been anything special.
And then we're also from Macau.
Omalu, who we signs before the Patriots game off of their practice squad.
Pressure was just a chess move.
You know, we just we just brought him in, maybe get some secrets that we could and then, you know, now he's on our practice squad or no, he got waves.
We didn't even move into the breakfast.
What? So that was definitely a questionable move that we did that.
But, you know, it's it's over now and then we also put Dalen Mack on I R.
So that's the moves, Men, Um, it looks like Dale in Mac did have to go.
I are, I'm sure.
I mean, he hasn't really been playing it all this season anyway, so that's not really a huge loss.
What this does tell me, though, and that we brought Justin Ellis and Tomato Peco, both defensive lineman.
I think that tells me that Michael Pierce's injury is actually a lot worse than we might have thought originally.
Because for me, I thought, Oh, yeah, he got hurt.
But he didn't want to come back in.
And I thought the coaches were just being safe and precautionary with him.
And they're like, now, you know what were you up pretty high against the Bengals and we're probably not gonna be ruining this game.
So just go ahead and sit on the bench.
We need you for next week.
That's what I thought.
But with these two signings of Justin Ellis and lots of Peco, I'm thinking that maybe Michael Pierce, maybe a little bit more hurt than we originally thought.
Because as we saw, uh, yeah, this past Sunday against the Bengals, Joe Mixon had probably his best game of the season so far.
He had 30 carries in 115 yards on the ground, and a lot of that could have been due to the fact that Michael Pearce was just not playing on the run.
Defense did struggle after that.
So that's I mean, it could be a problem, so I think that's the reason why we did go ahead and end up bringing in those defensive lineman.
Like I said, it's Justin Ellis and D'Amato.
Um, so and a lot of people are still saying, Well, what about the pass? Trish will do We need a pass rush when you we have, like 50 defensive lineman, Apparently not.
So it looks like that's those were going to be the moves.
Um, like I said, definitely little a little bit concerning for me.
I think that Michael's Michael Pearce might be more her than we once thought, which sucks.
Hopefully, he can get better because he you need to have both Michael Pierce and Brandon Williams to really keep that run defense going.
And that's what keeps us so strong, especially in the front, the line, because when you have those two big boys just stuffing of the run, stuffing up run lanes, you know, it's it's hard to run against this team.
So but now, without Pierce and you know, I don't know how long he's gonna be out.
If he is out, I'm pretty sure he is, or else I don't see why we would have made those signings.
I think it makes a lot of sense.
I think Pierce is gonna have to take some time off.
Unfortunately, hopefully he does come back and it's not like a season ending injury or anything like that, because that would definitely hurt.
I guess we'll find out, though.
But as for the remaining moves, I mentioned it.
I'm not expecting him to really be anything.
I'm pretty sure he'll just be a special teamer.
Maybe he'll get a snap here and there on defense.
I wouldn't expect it, though.
Uh, you know, he's 1/4 round real heat hasn't really shown much ever.
Eso even at u. S.
He was a little bit of a question of player, Not necessarily the best, so I don't know.
I mean, he's probably We probably brought him in for a special teams, you know, we're hoping that can that can help out special teams quite a bit.
So that's what I'm imagining.
He's going to be used as as for the other move.
Oh, yep, Cyrus Jones And who? Former Kamala, You both gone now.
Like I said earlier, man, he was a decent returner.
He was never anything special.
He you know, he wouldn't let the ball bounce.
He would, uh, he wouldn't fair catch it.
He would kind of just avoid it most of the time.
And even when he did make returns, he wouldn't really do anything with it.
Uh, And then, of course, the nail in the coffin was the fumble.
The **** Potter against the Patriots last Sunday.
You just You can't be doing that on special teams, man. You cannot be.
We can't afford to be making those types of mistakes, especially against better teams like the Patriots.
So I like the move.
I mean, I think it's about time.
Hopefully, the Anthony Thomas can get it going here as our returner.
That would be nice.
That would definitely be nice.
And new phone book, Omalu.
Like I said, I never really understood the signing in the first place.
Other than possibly it would be to get Intel or to kind of hold off the, uh, the Patriots for bringing him up from the practice squad.
It was a weird move, I think, um, you know, potentially a move we just made just to screw with Bill Belichick? I think so, Yeah.
Kamala got waved as well as, well, a Cyrus Jones.
And then Dalen, Mac was put on eye are so pretty unfortunate.
He's a young dude.
Dalen Mac, one of her draft picks this past year, hasn't really gotten to see the field that much.
It's just hard when you have Michael Pearson, Brandon Williams and Chris warmly above him.
So he he wasn't gonna get much playing time.
And it looks like this season's over now, so that's unfortunate for him.
So, but aside from that, not too concerning interesting moves made today for sure.
The thing that I am hoping is that Michael Pierce is not super hurt, because if he gets hurt and he's out for the season, that's gonna be tough, Man, that's gonna be tough to replace because him, along with Brandon Williams, are what you know what makes this run defense so good? So, anyways, that's I think that's gonna go ahead and do it for the Stream.
Guys just wanted to report my thoughts and my feelings on the moves made today as well as let you guys know of the moves made if you guys weren't aware so All right, fellas.
