you and we should be live on. SportsCastr.
What's going on? SportsCastr Salva Tree Here and today we're going to break down the Packers Verse.
Carolina Panthers Week 10 Game eight point victory.
Barely close call.
I mean, weekend.
The NFL season had what? There was 10 11 games on Sunday with the biggest size of the season.
Six teams on by about 11 games on Sunday.
And we had a spot where, like 67 games, came down to the final minute.
Final second for the Packers.
No time on the clock when that game ends.
Really good game all around.
Really impressive game by Kyle Alan.
Especially that final drive going what, 90 yards right? Around 90 yards, 88 yards ending on a Christian McCaffrey Stuff finds his way to like, literally 23 inch line after getting thrown by his offense alignment after his offensive lineman just blocks him out of potentially getting into the end zone more than they maybe have the chance for the two point conversion.
Lots of spots to discuss in this game.
Overall, we'll start in the Packers side where I mean, Matt, look for just vouched to have more balance and he got that.
He had 26 rushing attempts, 13 for Jones, 13 for Jamal Williams.
And both had a lot of success in Jones.
A couple of big plays, 28 yard run had the touchdown run, 13 carries, 98 93 yards and then obviously, the three touchdowns to them coming inside the red Zone one on the Golan chemo.
Williams also had a good day.
13 carry 63 yards, his long with 16.
So good day on the ground over.
Oh, um, it was a nice spot to target.
Um, these running backs from both sides of the game, both one defense look bad, and that's exactly what happened.
McCaffrey had a good day on his own, and Aaron Rodgers ran one time for seven yards.
Colin showed some ability three carries, 12 yards, the big first down run, leaving the game for him.
So in practice, out of the ball, they've actually just.
It's similar to what you saw in the 1st 456 games of the season, really before the Davante Adams injury, where Adam's Raymond Rogers a scheme, or to the running backs you only had a 9% target share for Aaron Jones, since Davante Adams has come back compared to being the leading target share receiver in the 20% range when Davante Adams has been out.
So he's on this game 17 past times in 29 years.
Tony 29 attempts for 233 yards, No touchdowns, no interceptions with sacked twice.
Aaron Rodgers was pressured much more than the two sacks indicate, though.
You can see by being hit eight times.
It was a spot where I did like what was happening here.
We saw it like I said the 1st 5 or six weeks of the season, Aaron Rodgers was just being more so the game manager, except **** near the best game manager in that category you can have in terms of the throws.
He was making the throw from Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams in this game in the right sideline.
Fantastic ads from Adam's, but that throw from the Inglewood showing it from became a right behind Aaron Rodgers in the field of drivers is here, or the cameras.
Here was one of the best throws that Roger has made this season as probably the best, though, that a lot of quarterbacks will make in an entire year, if not their career.
And it just dropped somewhere in the range of late twenties for the best throw of Aaron Rodgers career, if not the 30.
So, look, you look good.
He's averaging eight yard Yuri average eight yards per completion or 2% there.
So it's really hard to say anything bad about Roger scheme He.
Did he have any passion headstones? No, because John just had offered in the ground.
That's all you really need.
And they didn't really need to push anything in the final quarter.
I mean, they lead in this game by two scores in the second half, primarily the whole time.
So there's really no issue to be putting much of the weight on Rogers in the passing game.
And then, especially when the snow starts falling in the second half strongly in the fourth quarter, you rely on the run a lot more, and they were able to do that.
I mean, they're running backs for him a total of 26 times for a 27 if you count Aaron Rodgers, 17 rushing attempt is a quarterback 27 rushing attempts for 163 yards, the three touchdowns all coming from Aaron Jones.
Just a good way to attack the Panthers run defense that rings Bottom six in the league Packers.
Also down there in terms of where they rank and team in the Panthers and the Packers that struggle it tackling.
So really good spot for both running backs, all three running backs in the game.
If you consider McCaffrey getting down Savant Adams about the Adams, who had more than half of Aaron Rodgers receiving yards in this game, he had Muay um, He had almost half of the completions and he had over 1/3 of the overall targets.
So god**** stat line was fantastic.
Could have had an even bigger day.
And I'm really concerned or surprise, I would say, in fantasy and GFS trappings, which I cover the fantasy sports fantasy draft handle.
All the spots cover pretty closely.
You could channel my podcast.
You check all that out.
Just 15,000 subscribers on YouTube podcasts ready hit 10,000 listens for the month, and we're only 12 days in, so lots of that growing would be sure to check that out just my name on YouTube.
Same thing for the sal***e Keyshawn podcast.
But it's a spot where Davante Adams comes back.
You could have an even bigger day. People just weren't playing.
This got $69 price tag on draftkings when there's no James Bradberry.
Like Bradbury was doubtful listed, unlikely to play as a Friday when he did not practice and he didn't play.
And Adam's just had his way with Dante Jackson and whoever the other back boats crock.
Well, we're in there. You could have an even bigger day.
Um, it was very close to a touchdown.
Seven receptions on $10 for 118 yards was very much needed.
The other big play to big throws on the left hash mark when they're in their own end zone and then on the right side of the field on that really beautiful throw from Rogers.
Both of those probably combined for Adam's for somewhere around half of his yardage, if not more, somewhere on 65 of his 118 yards.
So maybe even 7818 yards, But things you use very much precisely, and as a technician late in the game.
They needed 1/3 and one.
They pick it up to Adams for four yards.
They needed a second down in seven.
He picks it up for a night eight yards.
So Adams looked great.
Jimmy Graham on four targets.
He had the really big one.
Hey, had 11 year deception in the game, but then he had the really big 48 yard catch over the middle of the field, where it was just remarkable what Aaron Rodgers date in terms of fooling one of the best linebackers, arguably the best linebacker right there with Bobby Wagner in the entire league.
And looky Clea, he called out something drawn, a milestone in the slot and pretty much a looky clean.
Ooh, there was based on watching film that.
Okay, Rogers just did this call.
This usually means that he's gonna go to he's gonna have John Miles and sit down right with sticks to pick up the whatever it was.
Ah, third down in seven, whatever the play might have been.
So I'm going to push ups.
Oh, looky Clea Rogers did that exact same thing because that that play drama Allison goes towards the stakes heat curls just exactly how he's supposed to.
It was beautiful by Rogers.
He pump fakes to that spot.
Looky Clea crashes downwards because he's been watching the film, and that's what Aaron Rodgers likes to do. Pump fakes.
That spot crashes downwards.
He has Jimmy Graham run another route.
Jimmy Graham's in the post in the middle of field wide open because in the coverage, quickly, quickly supposed to stay there and get whoever comes in the middle of the field in zone coverage.
But Kiki is a really good linebacker.
Watching film just was outsmarted by Aaron Rodgers there on more times than not, most quarterbacks would have thrown to the sticks there.
So it was just It was fantastic Rogers did in that play.
In my opinion, it was probably the best player in the entire game in terms of just like football smart.
You had the best linebackers against, in my opinion, the best quarterback still in the league.
You can argue Mahomes, if you want.
I would definitely take that argument.
I think it's fair, but yeah, it was just fantastic.
Jimmy Graham goes over the middle of a field for 48 yards at a big moment.
So those are some of the big place that stuck out to me.
You saw Alan Lizard once again.
Three catches, 27 yards.
Had a really strong hands catch.
Early in the game.
He had six targets.
Once again, he's up there with Davante Adams now back to back weeks in terms of receptions for receivers.
He's number some double coverage, but he's pretty much has taken on the role of the wider for three in this offense as he should be.
A most offenses that that's not the water Super two or one when Adam was here for a week or two.
As you say, De Vire option.
Not a really good wide receiver. My payment.
But now, if he's gonna come into the Troll, is just he takes two or three deep shots.
Nbsp game. That's fine.
We know that Adams has the deep threat ability.
I mean, he's one of the best route runners and releases in the league, especially when you're going up against ****rell on Dante Jackson, who Jackson has speed and really for the most body was burning ****erel in this game.
So outside of that, Jacob, who had a nice Cat 23 yards.
He had a nice broken tackle to get a first down.
Jamal Williams had no receptions.
And then there's no reception for Aaron Jones in this game.
So Adam's being back very much has crushed the scheming of getting running backs open, and I don't think it should.
But it makes sense when you're only want to throw 30 times per game with Rogers, and that's really the goal of this package Team is to throw 28 to 30 times Rogers and just run the ball like that in this game, 25 to 30 times.
It was a very even split 50 50 snap split.
Not only touch split about 50% of the snaps for Williams, 50% of the snaps for Jones.
They both played. Whoa.
I mean, Jones had the better game Overall, 30 more yards on the ground, really credited to his one big 28 yard run was the difference there, but they both played well in the ground late in the game, watching this game in the Snowman.
If you like a playoff game and Lambeau Field, um, it was so fun to watch Carolina goes right on the field.
Honestly, I thought in the steam, I have not really been a big fan of Kyle Allen.
But the reports come out that camera instead of the year, and there's very high likely chance to be traded in the off season.
I really wasn't the biggest fan of Kyle on as the season that's going on.
He's been more and more aware his interception was off a deflection, so I'm not really too concerned about.
His interception offered of off of a deflection, then intercepted in the end zone.
So it wasn't anything of a bad move by him.
He has a really nice drive at the end of this game that really just shows what type of court back he can be for them.
28 of 43 307 yards touchdown.
The pick, like we said, was deflected and then three sacks taken was rushed the entire game, though.
Preston Williams, Adoree Smith, All these guys Williams.
I think Preston.
I believe he had two sacks in this game if we go back and we look at it.
They credited him with two sacks, yet Campbell had 1/2 a sack or two sacks and then the other sack was to start a Lancaster.
So he's just being pressured all game, and he still was able to produce.
Moore had one of the best games of a wide receiver for definitely for Caroline on the season, but just a wide receiver in general.
The thing that I found out about this Carolina offense and I've already known it, but they're so concentrated around literally 4 to 5 players, technically four but somewhat five look, I mean, in this game, five players were targeted.
Look, you have the Packers in this game targeting six players, and that's the least that they've targeted all season long.
The five players targeted for Carolina is what they usually d'oh deejay more.
Greg Olsen, Curtis, Daniel, Christian, Christian McCaffrey.
And then Jerry is right, usually plays the slot.
He caught a 21 year passed early in the game onto targets.
It's all he did it is good players, right? Greg Olsen? Still good.
McCaffrey, Of course, D'Amore encourage Samuel fantastic wide receivers on the outside that don't come off the field.
But there's just no variety in this offense and make sense when McCaffrey's having the year that he is, and you really relying on Kyle to slowly learn and develop, and you have McCaffrey taking a lot of that pressure off of him.
McCaffrey, in a bad game for Christian McCaffrey still has 141 screaming your sermons, yards and a touchdown on 26 touches.
Right? Came into this game averaging 27 such as a game sees 26 in this one.
It just falls out.
And you think it's a bad game because he only has 141 yards from scrimmage.
So over 100 rushing yards catches six balls on seven targets with 33 yard just doesn't get into the end zone in the late stages, and we're about to get to those late stages.
So yeah, Kyle on a Thor is impressive drive late from him.
An impressive fourth quarter over.
All right, The touchdown they get to come within should have been seven.
They go for two. Very odd.
They throw to the back right corner of the end zone, broken up, so they go for too early to potentially win on the final drive.
Instead of trying to force overtime and then you're forced them to go for two if you tie the game, so I actually don't mind going for two there.
I think it just makes more sense that kicked the field and then go for two in the final drive of the game if you really want to win it there because it ends up being the exact same thing.
Except you have, I guess, more information.
If you get the two point conversion, I'm always a fan of going for two, like if you're in the mindset that you're gonna go for two at some point, just go for it as soon as you can, so I don't really I think it's the worst decision as other people are going to make it sound out to be, because the more information you could have during the game, the better when, at the end of the game, if you go for two and don't get it, you lost.
The game is over. There's no time out from the clock.
If you do it like the Panthers did where they did, you have the entire rest of the fourth quarter knowing that you need eight points so you can scheme for that play much earlier.
You kind of project yourself out and understand that you'll have the entire time to do it.
Whereas if you don't get it, the game's over.
I get, I get, I get that the game is over.
Regardless, I just like the idea of having more information for what you have to do is an offense instead of just having no time.
Once your decision is made.
Instead, you have made your decision and now you have the entire game left to play and decide what you want to do and how you're going to do it much more effectively.
Rather than doing it on a split decision.
We're just right away, so I do like having more information is always.
I didn't think it was kind of odd in that situation, like they didn't need to go for two.
But I guess on the road you just try and get out there would win.
But it's it's not the end of the world.
Overall, they didn't end up getting into the end zone, although they had every opportunity to.
Skyland goes down the field and pretty much Packers keeping him alive because of defensive penalties.
The timing was never really an issue because the Panthers, I believe, had at least two time outs.
I think all three.
So Tommy was never an issue.
They go right down the field, the package defense.
I don't know if we're just playing soft around.
If it was just a snow, so I had slow footing.
But it looked really bad.
And the secondary has been a concern as of late, and really so has their own defense.
So defense as the 1st 34 weeks of the season against really bad quarterbacks Looking stout pressure is still one of the best, if not the best in the league in terms of sack rate and pressure rate.
But the secondary is a little bit concerning here.
Trauma is playing great coming King playing surprisingly well.
Jagger Alexander not playing as well as we would have hoped so far this season, nowhere near a shut down cornerback that we would hope he was in this game.
He was the only thrown his way to times, so it was a spot where they go down the field.
The game ends with eight seconds left, Um, and then? Oh, no, There's a penalty on the Packers game continues.
They have to place first play.
Kyle unrolled slid right.
Chris McCaffrey's open in the end zone, just on their thrown the ball is on the throne by about a couple of yards.
If it's thrown to him towards the pilot, it's a touchdown, and they're going for two to potentially tie the game.
McCaffrey's day gets even better.
He picks up 1/7 reception.
He has 35 receiving yards, and he has two touchdowns on the day, and then he leaves another 36 19 point scores.
So the final play of the game, McCaffrey gets stuffed, Um, on the two yard run he hits into his own lineman.
He falls over onto the gold line right next to the Golan.
His offense alignment charts and throw him in, but he stopped Lycan.
In short, the game ends with no time on the clock.
The Packers won by eight.
They go to eat in 25 and one at home, and then you get the Carolina Panthers, now 5432 on the road, and in the vision that the Saints lost in, it was a really opportunistic time for them to try and win for the Packers.
Minnesota beats as an underdog Minnesota beat the Cowboys at home in a very good game.
Overall, that game pretty much came down to in the fourth quarter.
The Cowboys had to red zone drives.
They kicked the field and then the last one.
They don't get in on Geico, Elliot.
Hand up on third and two and then on fourth and five, try and pass to the sidelines.
Susie Girl, yet does not work out.
So the Viking sneak out of when they're both teams, a rate into so the attack Packers potentially walking away with the division? I do not think so.
That is not likely to occur anytime soon and let me see what happened.
Who had Seattle going into a six and 1/2 point favorite beating San Francisco.
So now the Packers air one game behind the best seed in the in the conference, but also in their division.
They have the Vikings again.
They have the tiebreak over the Vikings, and it'll probably come down to the Vikings.
They at the end of the season, their matchup against the Packers.
I feel really confident.
The Packers match up really nicely there.
Packers Vikings secondary has been bad that Patrick has been okay.
Their own stuff has been good.
Secondary is a concern, though, is always, but I do like their opportunity there and 10 friend getting a loss.
Leslie against Seattle, surely make Seattle front runner for the number one overall.
Spotting going into Seattle is not great, but it just helps the Packers, right.
You're just one game behind first seed and ABI and all that.
At least second see, we would like to get it probably comes down to If you could just take care of Ben's business against the bad teams, you're literally going to get Dwayne Haskins this season.
He was named started for the rest of the year in December.
Gonna get Dwayne Haskins in Washington.
You're going to get Daniel Jones and the Giant so those air too easy wins that you should pick up right there.
And then it's just a matter of taking care of business against the rest of the division.
You have the lines, potentially depending on Matt Stafford severity of his injuries.
I'll take all these cupcake matchups against cupcake quarterbacks.
I can and you have once again the Vikings and the Bears.
So that's five of the Packers last six games here, and I'm forgetting right now enough.
Anybody in check and you know who is their final game against? They have already played.
I believe this entire division did they play Tampa Bay, yet? Do they have to play Tampa Bay? I don't know if they actually have to play this entire division or if they just seated the same way you look at it right now.
It's three divisional opponents.
It is the Giants.
It is the Redskins, which are just should be too easy, ones that bears the Vikings lines.
All the 40 Niners, of course.
Yes, next week is the 40 Niners.
This is the game that really is probably gonna decide to buy at San Francisco and San Fran.
Coming off of a loss is pretty terrifying for 25 game Packers win this game.
They have tiebreaker for the Buy and then look at the rest of their schedule easier than against Giants Easy one against the Redskins.
The Bears in at home should be a relatively easy one, with how the Bears defense has been playing lots of injuries and also really, the offense been playing terrible.
That at Minnesota at the line should be the ones that test them.
I imagine Stafford is all healthy by this time.
Unless there's something about him going on I R.
That comes out the next couple of days.
