How do I want to start this? Good afternoon.
Uh, Saints fans.
Um What the heck happened, man? What the heck happened to us yesterday, boy? Oh, boy.
You know, first and foremost Atlanta Falcons.
Great job yesterday.
A man do. I hate you guys.
I hate the Elena Falcon so much.
It's Wait till Thanksgiving.
Um, anyways, what the heck happened to our football team over the bye week? All of a sudden? We don't know how to do anything besides kick field goals.
This is the fourth game this year.
We didn't score a touchdown.
Guys, that is ridiculous.
I cannot happen.
Super Bowl teams don't go four games in a freakin season without scoring point or not scoring a touchdown.
That's absurd, but I still have the utmost confidence in the New Orleans Saints air my team at the end of the day.
Um, quite frankly, we just didn't bring our A game yesterday, and at the end of the day, that's what it comes down to.
You know, we do play in the National Football League.
We play with and against the best athletes in the world Any given Sunday.
If you do not prepare adequately enough, and you walk in the game a little bit too arrogant, acting like you're gonna win.
Regardless, that's what happens.
You take it out.
And that's exactly what happened to the New Orleans Saints yesterday.
We lost our momentum over the by a week.
We just kind of rolled off the Atlanta Falcons, kind of looking more towards like the 40 Niners game in the Titans game.
We looked ahead of those games, what thou concentrating on the week by week basis, and it's a shame it really is.
Our offense of line just completely forgot how to block.
So that happened everybody besides Ryan Ram check.
It seems like Ram checked and allow a sack.
Everybody else freaking did.
Um I mean, our defense forgot howto cover people, so that happened.
Um, way got zero pressure on that, Ryan.
Um, there's no reason that on 1/3 down at eight, Matt Ryan should be able to run and convert That, um, A.
Klein did not play very well yesterday.
That's not good.
Um, but like I said, day kudos to the Elena Falcons, man.
Big congratulations to them because they went out and they played their A game.
You know, they are not just your normal will now, too. And 17.
And I did say that in yesterday's pregame report that the Falcons are not your normal one in 17.
They are the best worst team in the NFL.
I guess you could say they're a very talented football team and it's a rivalry game.
Things happen, a rivalry games.
Now I'm not one to sit here and blame the rest, even though I am wearing my hashtag rob toady.
But that game was just purely our fault.
People like Saints offense.
You continue to blame the refs.
I don't really watch football because, I mean, there was only one thing in that whole game that I think should have been called.
That wasn't and that was the punch that Ah, Calvin Ridley.
When Calvin really punched by Apple, that was the only thing I think you probably could have called the the entire game that didn't get called.
So the fact that that's the only thing people are talking about and blaming the whole game on is kind of ridiculous to me.
So just like let's just tone it down a little bit, and just really look at the real reason why we lost.
And it's because we didn't bring our A game in the Atlanta Falcons did.
Let's just keep it.
I'm gonna keep it straight.
Point blank and simple for you guys.
We didn't play well, that's it.
Um, obviously Marshawn Lattimore being injured air in the game did not help our case.
Um, he's considered week to week currently, so I just find it kind of ironic, callous.
Soon as we get healthy, one of our best players goes down.
Um, so that's not fun.
But, you know, we got to play better.
You know, we can't blame a whole loss on not having one player now.
When Lattimore was on the field, he held Julio Jones, too.
That many catches zero.
Um, but it's just more than just Marchand Lattimore have to play, you know, especially in that secondary. P.
Williams didn't play bad, but you can tell he hasn't played in a couple weeks.
I put about Eli.
Apple was pretty much dominating Calvin, really, For most of the game, I'd say he put very well, actually, I think my apples emerging into one of our best corners? Um, one.
The NFC sells best corners as well.
Um, but, you know, we have Tampa Bay next week, and Tampa Bay is not some slouch team.
You know, we did beat him the first time we played them.
And what, we gotta beat him again.
All right? It's that simple.
We got we gotta win our division games.
Thankfully, we're still up by a couple of games, thanks to the Panthers lost yesterday.
Um, we're still up by two games with not too many more games to go.
So, um, just kind of just disappointed, you know, like, I don't know.
It's just it's really frustrating.
But I mean, this happened every other team, all the good teams in Yes, in the NFL yesterday.
It kind of seems like it just seemed like yesterday was the day of upset.
But, you know, it's just really frustrating when you know you have a great football team and you don't play like you have a great football team, you know, because I was just a crap performance we had yesterday.
Like Drew Brees didn't play well, really.
The only player on the entire team, I say, who are the only two players on the entire team that really played well.
Three players, I'd say. Sorry.
I know. I keep changing number.
I say three player four players.
See? Here I go again for play.
Well, no team played well.
And that was, um, Michael Thomas.
Obviously, he plays well every week.
Um, Ryan ram check played extremely well, for the most part, Jared Cook played really well for the most part.
Adjustment 45 further to, um and then Deante Harris are kicking part.
Retire played exceptionally well.
He was putting us in great position, the majority of the game, and we just quite frankly, blew it the whole time.
So, yeah, um, you got played.
Better got to absolutely have to.
But for all you saints fans or Hugo in Teddy, we want Teddy leave.
Just No, Get out of here, bro.
Like, do you even understand what you are saying right now? Do you understand what you are saying when you chant for Teddy instead of, you know, trying to bench Drew Brees in favor of Teddy Bridgewater? That is ridiculous.
That is quite literally the stupidest.
Absolute, stupidest thing I have ever heard.
Fans chant in my life.
Steady Red. Roger's a great quarterback.
Don't get me wrong, but he is not better than Drew Brees.
He will never execute our offense the same way Drew Brees did.
Does has and will.
Everybody has a bad week, guys.
It's that simple.
So I still see us holding up the Lombardi in the season.
If anything, I kind of enjoy the fact that we lost this game because it might actually wake us up a little bit, light a fuse under us and get us going in preparation for these upcoming games that air equally as important as these ones.
You know, it's just We gotta bring our a game every single week, and I think we just kind of wrote this game off as a victory without actually going through adequate preparation.
Obviously, I'm not in New Orleans.
Obviously, I'm not, you know, able to know the kind of preparation they did but getting a general consensus of our team.
You know, um, I kind of just figure we wrote this game off as a victory without actually going through adequate training in preparation.
Um, so hopefully that kind of wakes us up a little bit.
Um, you know, we still have plenty more games to play.
We're still first in our division.
Were still, think, second or third currently in the NFC.
So we're still chasing that home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
But we do have some tough games up ahead.
We have, I think, the Colts.
We have the Titans.
We have, um, 40 Niners, obviously.
And we have, like the rest of our division games.
So, like our next three games in our overall division games against Tampa Bay, Carolina and in Atlanta.
So now she know it's Tampa Bay, Atlanta and the Carolina.
And then I think San Francisco.
And then I think Titan Carolina again.
Something I don't know.
But anyways, um, basically, we have a lot of second half of the season, um, division matchups, which are always upset alerts in my eyes because, um, division came for just different.
You know, um, for teams that are not successful like the Atlanta Falcons, as long as you can go out there and beat the saints, you know you have you've had a rough year, but if you beat the same then it's a good year.
You know what I mean? It's kind of like college in a way.
You know, like, let's say Michigan's having a bad year, but they beat up Ohio State.
It's a good year.
No, I'm saying rivalry games are different, so it's just we gotta bring our a game the rest of the time.
We gotta hope Lattimore is not seriously hurt right now.
He's currently week to week, Um, but I think that was the only significant injury in that game.
Actually, Andrew's Pete also got a kind of hope he's fine, but, uh, yes at coleslaw.
What's up, my guy? Yeah, definitely worried that the, uh, I mentioned a little bit earlier in the broadcast, but it's definitely worrisome that the worst pass rush team and the entire NFL got for again.
Say eight sacks against us like that's ridiculous.
It really, truly is ridiculous.
Um, it was just like our offensive lines, like, didn't show up at all, which is crazy because, like in the pregame show, I mentioned that we have one of the better offensive lines in the NFL when we're healthy.
This and that, Um, and it was just we had an absurd amount of penalties on the offensive line yesterday, holding.
This seemed like every other play, and we're one of the least.
I think we were the third least penalized team coming into the game, and all of a sudden, um, we're getting like 11 penalties.
I think is what the total is.
We had 11 penalties on the offense yesterday, which is ridiculous.
And then Bo just holding penalties on the defense as well, Man said. The face penalties.
We did that three times on the 1st 3 drives.
I think to drive something like that.
Um, we just have to clean it up, play a lot better.
You could tell her a little bit rusty after the bye week, but that's not an excuse.
It's really not.
We have to play better.
Um, but on the Falcons note, it looks like Dan Quinn actually made some good moves by assigning playcalling duties to his coordinators instead of him doing it all himself.
So I think that definitely had an impact on the game.
Yesterday was the first time the Falcons tried out there, linebacker coach asked the defense coordinator, and you can tell it worked out so I could see the Falcons genuinely having some a lot more success getting to the quarterbacks and upcoming games due to the fact that it seemed like they actually made a legitimate change for the better.
Um, but yeah, definitely.
Pete went down in the game, which is even a bigger of a concern, even more of a concern.
I would say, um, simply because he's kind of been like an anchor in a way on our offense, applying, uh, very underrated offense.
He's definitely gonna get paid in the off season, if not by us, by somebody else.
Um, and he's going to be very successful in the league.
Um, but overall, just really just tough game on the Falcons offensive line.
Did a great job against us, too.
I think we only got, like, one or maybe two sacks the entire game.
Um, so, you know, kudos to their offensive line for really showing up.
And, uh, you know, it was just kind of like it kind of flipped the script.
You know, it's kind of like the Falcons played the way we usually play.
And, you know, I just don't think we were.
We're really prepared for that I feel like, um just kind of feel like we weren't prepared, like at all through the kind of like energy the Falcons were gonna come and play with, which is really just like, I don't know, which doesn't really seem like us too much, because word I feel like, typically one of the more prepared teams in the NFL behind.
Like the Patriots, I think we probably are the most prepared team usually.
So you know, that obviously stunk, but it is what it is, you know, plenty more games to play.
Um, and it's gonna be exciting.
Don't write this game off is like the way the rest of season is going to go, because it's not.
It's just not how it's gonna be.
We're gonna be fine.
We're going to go out there.
We're gonna learn from our mistakes.
And honestly, like I mentioned earlier, I think it's gonna light a fuel under light a fire under the guise and really get going and ah, yeah, we should make an interesting, interesting reading this playoffs here at the end of the season.
But thank you guys so much for all your love, all your support.
As always, Go saints.
See y'all next week.
