Hello, everybody, and welcome into the broadcast.
I'm Samuel Reese's company.
Live right here on SportsCastr.
It's Thursday Night Football on this occasion here on this Thursday night.
Well, thanks so much for joining me tonight on the stream.
I greatly appreciated hope you're having a wonderful Thursday night.
We have at last arrived to Friday, tomorrow and this game taking place in Oakland.
Their fans already.
It's the last season in Oakland for the Raiders before they moved to Las Vegas.
It's the four and five Los Angeles Chargers at the four and four Oakland Raiders from the Oakland Alameda Coliseum in Oakland, California.
Well, it's a privilege to be on SportsCastr tonight for the broadcast.
I greatly appreciate all of you who are tuning into the stream and we should be in for good one.
Here's a look at the A F C West standings.
The Chiefs at six and three, are in first.
Then the Raiders are at foreign for the Chargers, four and five, and you know it's These two teams can really have a legitimate chance of making a run for that wild card.
I think personally that the Chiefs will win the NFC West not too much of an issue there, but I do think one of these teams could get a wild card spot.
Philip Rivers leading, of course, the Los Angeles Chargers as they had a great game against the Green Bay Packers.
Exactly what they needed, really, um, to get t get maybe a winning streak going.
But this Raiders team is no easy task, and it should be a really good game.
These two teams pretty much even, in my opinion.
And, you know, we'll see who comes up on top ultimately.
But it should be entertaining Derek Carr, of course, leading the Raiders, the Raiders, a team who, you know, a lot of people don't see them as a team that can do that much, but they kind of like that underdog role.
They're ready to prove everyone wrong, and you know any anything can happen.
And I wouldn't be surprised if one of these two teams made the playoffs.
In the end, it's always possible to pretty good football teams.
Don't forget the Chargers are a team who went 13 and three last year or 12 and four.
I apologize 12 and four, um, they already have more losses this season compared to last season.
But still, they're a team that has talent is capable of doing better things.
Yes, it's a rough start, But maybe that Packers win can be a turnaround to their season.
All right, we're ready for kickoff from the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California, as week 10 of the National Football League gets underway tonight.
Thanks so much for joining me here on the stream.
I'm try to do a variety of sports.
I I d I do Ah, many sports here on SportsCastr.
And you know, I hope you enjoy all the sports I do, no matter what sport you like.
I try to cover it all.
Thank you, Avery, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Welcoming Hope.
You're having a wonderful night, Avery.
And we're just about ready to get this one underway from the Oakland Coliseum.
Lets up Avery, how are you doing? I appreciate you coming into the stream here on SportsCastr.
Welcome Kim to the broadcast.
Thank you for stopping by you up in a F C West showdown. Absolutely.
I was just saying at the beginning of this dream, this is a huge game for both teams.
I really do think it's possible for one of these two teams to end up getting that last wild card spot in the A F.
U Never know both of these two teams who have talented rosters, especially the Chargers.
Maybe that went against the Packers.
I can give them some momentum, all right, The kick is up and we are underway from the Oakland Coliseum in a big hit there.
How about that hit from Riley and the Chargers will kick things off here as Philip Rivers makes his way onto the field.
He has 2609 past yards this season.
That's the most in the NFL.
Let's see what he can do on this first drive for the Rangers.
You're sort of digging these jerseys.
Yeah, I know, I know.
They're not that. Not that.
All right, so here we go first, play the game.
Chargers start from their own 19 yard line Thursday Night Football.
Right here on SportsCastr.
It's already laughing.
The Oakland Coliseum River is having a little bit of trouble communicating.
Perhaps the play clock down the three.
The snap is often time.
He'll look to throw down the middle of goes the catch made past the 40 goes Austin tackler.
And that's a first down right away for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Nice that Yeah, or start Start.
Yeah, yeah, it isn't I start for the Chargers.
Exactly what they needed there up to the 42.
Here's the snap.
This will be handed off Melvin Gordon.
We'll take it past the 45 for a gain of about four yards on the play, and I'm sure we'll see him involved A lot here is the Chargers offense for you, their 16th in the NFL.
Offensively, they got Russell, Oh, Kong, Dan Feeny, Scott Quisenberry, Michael Schofield, Trent Scott, Melvin Gordon, Austin Glor, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Hunter Henry.
It was a gain of four in the place, second in six from the 46 yard line, the Chargers using pretty much most of the play clock on every snap.
So far, this one is off the seven seconds to go on the play clock and under pressure is river than he's taken down for the sack.
Philip Rivers taken down.
And how about that? It's Max Crosby with the sack and that sends the Chargers back a couple of yards more than a couple and the protection not there for Rivers.
And he had to take the sack.
So it's now third and long.
I'll tell you what it is rocking inside the stadium.
They want to stop third and 14 now.
The charges were looking good.
Up until that point, it was the loss of 10 on the eight on the plate.
This will be thrown down the right side.
It's bubbled up.
That's intercept it down the sideline.
It's intercepted by the Oakland Raiders and with the pick is Carl Joseph.
And how about that? Philip Rivers is arguing something.
You definitely got this feat and Joseph did.
Not sure exactly what Philip is with Philip Rivers is debating here.
The ball is just bobbled in the air and picked off.
But now there's a flag down.
Thanks for the tip came.
I greatly appreciate it.
Let's see what the officials say.
Call the Curt Henderson.
Excuse me makes the call.
It's pass interference on the Raiders.
It's an automatic first down for the L. A Chargers.
How about that drastic change of offense.
Yeah, There was contact.
Yeah, there was contact there between Ah, Shray von Mullen and I believe Heckler Oakland With eight penalties per game this season, that's the third most in the NFL.
So the Chargers get a break there, there now to the 45 yard line of Oakland.
Yeah, the Collis him is going bonkers.
As soon as the Raiders got the interference called C'mon, silent.
Yeah, I know it really did.
All right, Here's the snap.
It will be tossed off to Melvin Gordon Gordon down the right side.
Find space down the 40 past the 35 for a first down L A.
So that is a nice run, thereby Melvin Gordon and a new set of downs for the Chargers.
Taken advantage of that P I on the Oakland Raiders.
It was a 5:20 p.
m. Local time start.
I'm sure the stadium will keep on filling up the later this first half goes as people are still getting out of work.
All right, here's the snap.
Philip Rivers under pressure, gets the throwaway in time.
It's up in the air.
It's incomplete, almost getting there for the Raiders was Max Crosby, but not quite.
Or was Crosby the one putting on the pressure? Let's see for a second.
Crosby was putting the pressure on Rivers, and I'm not sure who it waas on the Raiders, who almost got to that one.
But yeah, that completely altered that pass.
It was in the year for a while as well.
Coming up for the Chargers.
Thank you, Rita, for joining the broadcast.
I appreciate you coming in here on SportsCastr.
It's Thursday Night football between the Los Angeles Chargers and Oakland Raiders.
Here's the snap, but a flag is down.
No, a challenge.
Flag put down by Jon Gruden.
I thought that was a red flag and kiss awas.
So, what is he arguing here? He thinks this should be a fumble.
So Jon Gruden thinks it's a fumble.
Now that's that's going to be an incomplete best.
I don't see any reason it won't be all right.
So they'll take a look at it, all right? Yeah, that's fine. Hey, Avery. Of course.
L does a great job as well. No problem.
Go ahead and talk with him.
I don't I'll have anything wrong, but I don't see anything wrong with that. Avery.
But I appreciate you coming on my broadcast as well.
All right, I'll be right back after this commercial break challenge flag thrown by Jon Gruden.
We'll see what they come up with after this.
I think the call will be upheld.
Isn't incomplete past.
Gruden thinks it's a fumble.
We'll find out after this.
Alright, sore back here.
Jon Gruden challenged the call.
But the ruling on the field does stand as I expected.
John Grune still with disapproval of that.
But here we go second and 10 coming up 12 05 to go in the first quarter.
First drive of the game for either team.
This is a fake handoff.
Philip Rivers just throw off its intercepted.
It's picked up by the Raiders.
Here they go, down the right sideline foodie, 45 past the 50 to the other side.
He goes down, passed up 40 all the way to the 30 yard line, and that one is picked off on the play.
How about that? It's Curtis Riley with the interception and he returned it for a good 60 yards as well.
Excuse me, it was It was Harris with the interception.
And it just wasn't a good throw from Philip Rivers.
And it was really way over the head of Keenan Allen, and that was just a poor throw.
Harris comes out with the interception and look at that.
Wow, and now he sets up.
This offense is a really good position.
Eric Harris With the interception, the Raiders take over at the 31 yard line of the Chargers.
This is a hand off, and it's ran past the 25 that time by Josh Jacobs and the Raiders on offense for the first time tonight.
2% completion percentage.
I should say this season that's the best in the NFL.
Can you keep it up tonight? Second and four for Oakland, there at the 25 into the red zone, car taking some time.
Here's the snap.
Fake and off throws it to the right side, caught first down Oakland.
So it was caught there by Tyrell Williams, and it's a new set of downs for the Raiders.
Here is their offense.
They rank 11th a total in the league.
And let's introduce you the players.
Colton Miller, Richie Incognito.
Rodney Hudson gave Jackson, Trent Brown a former Patriot.
Josh Jacobs, Alec angled.
And there you have it.
All right, so it's first in 10.
You set of downs from the 19 yard line.
Here's the snap to Derek Carr.
He will hand this one off Jacob's, get some blocking now.
Finds a gap and he gets five yards out of it.
Very impressive there.
He's really, really something.
You can see it there.
You went to Alabama and he's got some talent.
They're they're running back.
Their main guy that they go to in the running game.
Second and five.
Now for Oakland.
Jacob's getting something out of nothing.
Here's the snap.
This will be handed off again.
Jacobs with some hesitation.
He has taken down for about a gain of two, but there are multiple flags down on the field.
We will see what the call is.
Thank you, Jessica, for joining the broadcast.
It's gonna be on the Raiders holding called on Oakland.
So that will move them back and they'll replay the down.
Appreciate you coming into the broadcast.
Jessica Hope you're having a wonderful Thursday night.
It's Thursday Night Football in the NFL.
Here on SportsCastr, the Chargers and readers is the Is Thea Primetime game tonight.
All right, here we go.
Second and 15 now for Oakland, a 10 yard penalty on the play, Derek Carr and shotgun formation.
He has time to throw.
Throws it right down the middle, and it's caught on the play for a gain of eight.
With the grab was Tyrell Williams a second completion of the night.
Here's the Chargers defense.
They ranked eighth in the league, and they got Joey Bosa, Damian Square, Brandon McBain, Melvin Ingram, Thomas Davis, Denzel Perriman.
Who? Chinaman Sue, Michael Davis, Jalen Watkins, Rayshawn Jenkins.
All right, Here we go now 13 8 It was actually just to gain a seven on the play, not eight.
Both teams using the most of the of the play clock here.
It's all the way down.
The three snap off in plenty of time, though.
Car under some pressure, is taken down for the sack by the Chargers, the sack by Melvin Ingram, and that's a big loss for Oakland.
The immediate pressure put on Derek Carr didn't have much time.
He tried to scramble out of the pocket but just didn't have the time to do it.
So now fourth and 13 the Raiders will have to attempt a field goal here from 40.
Uh, Carlson comes out the season seven for nine on field goals as long coming from 45.
This is a 40 yard attempt to put the Raiders on the board.
The kick is up and it is good.
So the Raiders are on the board. Three to nothing.
They lead it, but the Chargers prevent them from putting a touchdown on the board.
It all started with that interception from Eric Harris and the Raiders up three to nothing with a toe, one to go in the first quarter.
I'll be back for more after this commercial break.
Don't go anywhere more Thursday Night Football coming your way right here on SportsCastr.
All right, welcome back, everybody.
The Thursday Night Football between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Oakland Raiders from Oakland, California, 801 remaining in the first quarter and the Raiders up three to nothing, thanks to a 40 yard field goal made by Daniel Carlson.
All right, so this will be kicked off by Carlson or no.
Looks like, Yeah, the kick is up and this will be returnable from the 5 10 15 outside and taking down at the 20 there by the Raiders was Troy Man cope to remain pope.
Taken down on their return to the 2004 draft class.
The 1st 3 quarterbacks included Eli Manning, who was first overall, replaced Week three by Daniel Jones.
Philip Rivers, whose fourth overall 2609 pass yards that's the most in the NFL, and Ben Roethlisberger, the 11th overall pick.
Well, of course, had an injured elbow in Week two.
He's out for the season.
So out of that group Philip Rivers, the only one who's having success.
Not those other two guys.
Just unlucky, really.
This will be a handoff.
Taking it to the outside is awesome.
He's still going.
Get some yards after contact and he gets the first down.
I do believe very nice job there from Austin, eh, Clarence? It's a first down for the Chargers.
He's avoided that tackle.
Darryl Worley just completely juking him out in the new set of downs for the charges.
They're up to the 30 yard line first in 10 midway through the first quarter.
They're looking to get on the board for the first time tonight.
Philip Rivers in the shotgun releases.
This one caught, and that's a pickup of seven.
Ori caught on the play By Keenan Allen Shane Station is the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Sorry if San Diego ever slips out tonight, I'm still used to calling them that.
All right, this will be a hand off down the gut.
There goes Troy Ming Pope, and it's a first down and more for the L. A Chargers.
Nice job on the play by Pope in the Chargers, slowly making their way downfield.
Oh, look into gain momentum.
They had a nice drive going, Ah, in their first offensive drive until that interception.
All right, the play clock down the tent, Both teams using a lot of that play clock eating it up.
Here's the snap.
Philip Rivers, through release, isn't another interception.
It's by Harris again.
That's the 40 35 30 25 20.
He could go off the way into the end zone is Harris with this second interception of the night, this one he takes all the way back for a T Day.
There is a flag down, and there is no foul touchdown writers.
Would you believe it? It's Eric Harris again and Philip Rivers rough start to his night carries on just another bad throat.
Easy pick for Harris, and he took it back all the way. Nine.
A 55 yard return on the play by Will Harris.
And now the extra point coming right up from Daniel Carlson in the defense, making plays early on for the Raiders.
Eric Harris with the second interception the night.
How about that for the rookie? The safety. Four.
Oakland nine. Nothing.
They lead it now.
The point after try from Daniel Carlson.
The kick is up, and it is good.
The Raiders lead it.
Eric Harris having a great night.
Still, the first quarter.
He has two picks, and you just took that one back all the way.
Philip Rivers, meanwhile, with a rough start to his night 602 to go in the first quarter all Oakland 10.
Nothing Can the Chargers get it going? We'll find out after this commercial break.
Don't go anywhere.
More action coming your way after this.
Welcome back to live commentary of Thursday Night Football right here on SportsCastr Wow.
Want to start to this game for the Oakland Raiders? Their defense of takeaways in the 1st 8 games? Just seven tonight, already to both by the rookie safety for the Raiders.
What tonight he's having so far.
And now Outcomes.
Daniel Carlson to kick it off to the Chargers and that will go into the back of the end zone for a touchback.
So the Chargers will start from their own 25 Philip Rivers with a tough start to this game.
Too bad throws resulted in interceptions, and the Chargers already have quite a bit of work to do here. Down 10.
Nothing and Rivers just got twisted awkwardly.
It didn't seem like he was when he was taken down.
His legs were just in, kind of got twisted awkwardly as he went down.
The Raiders defense is looking great.
No doubt about it.
Thanks for coming back in emotion was Keenan Allen handoff to Gordon Gordon plows down the middle, Takes it inside the 30.
The nice play there from Melvin Gordon.
Thank you, everybody who joined me tonight on the stream here on SportsCastr.
So the 1st 2 possessions for the Chargers resulted in an interception and an interception.
Let's see if they can change that here.
This will be handed off to Gordon Gordon with a little hesitation marks down the Chargers.
I was about to say San Diego, All right, so when you set of downs for L.
A and you know, with two interceptions thrown, they might look to run the ball a little more and see if that works a bit better.
Because for the Chargers, the passing game not going too well in this one 10 minutes into the quarter.
All right there now up to the their own 37 rushing yards.
L. A. 47 Oakland 11.
It goes to Melvin Gordon again.
Mitt and I stopped there by the Raiders D on Lee about a pick up of two on the play.
Maybe they'll give him three.
We'll see Melvin Gordon starting to look more like the Melvin Gordon we're used to seeing.
Of course, he held out for the first.
What was it? I want to say six or seven weeks.
How long has he been back for? It's only is, I think it's third game back if I'm not mistaken.
Positive on that.
But yeah, second and seven hand off this time, But it's to another player.
Austin Heckler, that time the carrier.
And that's about a pick up of three or four and Hunter Henry of the Chargers getting on new shoes.
He slipped on that interception.
You know, the throne might have looked worse than it really was because Henry was making was running his route with a little Ben Harris.
There would have been a receiver in the area had Henry not slipped like that.
But he's putting on new shoes, those ones not working out too well.
Now. Third and 44 L A.
The snap off in time, Rivers in the shotgun.
And he has taken down for the sack, making sure that ball wasn't coming out and the Raiders defense continues to impress and the Chargers will have to punt it off.
Wow! And the Oakland Coliseum is going nuts.
Yeah, no one open and then Rivers just took a hit.
That ball almost came out of his right hand.
That was almost stripped out.
Rivers did well to hold on to it.
So outcomes Tai long toe punt it off to Trevor Davis.
Here is the punt from along.
It is up and this will be taken by Davis at the 10.
He bobbled it at first.
Still made the play.
Oh, what a move.
And he gets past the, uh, actually out to about the 19.
What I moved there by Davis and the Raiders offense coming back onto the field.
Frustrating nights so far for ah, for her, the whole Chargers team.
Let's be honest, sending nothing.
Raiders lead it to 49 to go in the quarter.
What can Derek are due out there now for the Raiders? We'll have to wait and see after this commercial break.
Don't go anywhere, Maur.
Coverage coming your way right here on SportsCastr.
All right, What is going on? Everyone welcome back 10 to nothing.
The readers lead it to 49 to go in the first quarter.
The Raiders have the ball once again this time, though not as good of field position to start. Often.
We'll start from the 20.
This is a pass to Williams, but it's incomplete.
The ball hit the ground before he grabbed that one.
It was it was close, but it did hit the ground.
So, second in 10.
Coming up? Yeah, the the last two will.
The last interception was, of course, a pick six.
The one before that put the readers in really good field position already at the 31 of L.
This time, they'll have to start further back much further.
Back in the car now, scrambling gets the throw off will go deep.
It's over the fingertips.
It's over the fingertips of Terrell Williams, and there is a flag down.
What? It's on the offense.
So it's holding on.
Colton Miller of five yard penalty still still second down.
Yeah, right there is the grab.
Yeah, it's the right call.
He was grabbing Jamie and square the nose tackle of L. A.
So second and 20.
Excuse me. A 10 yard penalty is what I meant to say.
So far, the Chargers have committed no penalties.
The Raiders have committed three for a total of 37 yards there now backed up to their own 10.
Let's see what they can do.
2 37 left and quarter number one car in the shotgun.
Here's the snap.
The throw is caught and out across the 15 yard line there is Darren Waller.
They still have a long way to go here on third and long.
Josh Jacobs of the Raiders had 740 rushing yards has for seven or 40 rushing yards this season.
That's a Raiders rookie record.
He passed Marcus Allen, who had 697.
So Jacob's already breaking rushing yards records in the Raiders history books, and we're only about halfway through a little over halfway through the season.
That's what's very impressive about it.
So third and 13 for Oakland Derek are looking.
The throw throws it down the right side and complete.
It was intended for Zeta Jones, and the special teams will come out and the Oakland Raiders will have to punt it for the first time tonight.
He had Zeta Jones open, just overthrown a bit, and he was disappointed with himself as well.
So Outcomes punter A. J. Cole.
He'll punt it off to Desmond cake.
So the punch is up and King will take it from the 35.
There's a flag down, takes it across the 40 and spins around past the 45 before the tackle is made by Kyle Wilbur.
But there is a flag down.
This could be coming back.
We'll see what the call is from the officials on the field.
So Philip Rivers comes out, he'd like a little more protection.
You know, both of those interceptions.
Not completely his fault.
You know, They were his fault, for the most part, but not entirely.
I was going to be on the Chargers.
Yeah, it's gonna be on L.
Two fouls on the blade here.
All right, so it's there were two penalties.
The one that will be enforced is the holding call on L.
So they will move back to start this drive off in the Raiders, trying to get their crowd into it.
We're nearing the end of the first quarter about a minute 37 ago.
I believe in quarter number one tend to nothing.
The Oakland Raiders in the lead.
Let's see if the Chargers can at least get three points up on the board this Dr because they because Philip Rivers, I mean, he hasn't got any protection whatsoever in the pocket.
And he's throwing two interceptions on his 1st 2 drives.
Can that change here? 1 38 to go first and 10 for the Chargers as they start their drive.
Philip Rivers to for 5 30 yards, two interceptions.
Not so good so far. Kenny.
Changing around this will be a quick handoff, taking it down the right side and all the way for a first down is Keenan Allen.
Well, how about that? Keenan Allen, the wide receiver taking the handoff.
So it seemed to throw off the Raiders a little bit because it even threw off me.
So the rushing yards this game, the Chargers have 71.
Meanwhile, the Raiders just have 11.
They got two receivers to the left, none on the right.
Looks like Austin, eh? Killer is lined up behind Rivers.
Here's the snap handoff tackler trying to get protection.
Zach Piller makes some moves, but the Raiders D was ready just about again and two on the play for Austin Heckler and the Chargers.
So it looks like they'll be about one more play here before the quarter concludes.
The tackle that time by Oakland was Will Compton.
Paul Gunther is the defense of coordinator for the Raiders.
Was a gain of three second and seven from the 43 yard line of L.
Rivers throws it.
It's caught, But can you get the first down? No, he cannot Keenan Allen to stop the yard short of the first down third and one coming up for L. A.
But that will bring us to the end of the first quarter.
15 minutes in the books here from the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California Raiders 10 Chargers.
Nothing more coming your way after this.
