I actually just saw a report on jacoby percent, and it's a pretty encouraging report.
So Jacoby percent had on M C l strain.
And what happens with EMC else? Brains if you if you watch the video, I tweeted about it.
It is essentially where your knee gets caved in.
And what happened is that his offensive lineman actually rolled up on him on accident and his he stepped on his lower leg and he caved.
Jacoby percents knee inward.
And that's gonna put a ton of shears.
Shear stress through the M.
C L Ligament, which is responsible for holding your knee together, basically holding and making sure it doesn't cave in, rotate in.
And so those injuries or super painful And the thing about the M C L.
Is that there's a not not a lot of blood flow that goes through it relative to the other structures of the area, and so it takes just It just takes time for it to heal.
Fortunately, it sounds like his was a pretty, pretty mild one, which, which means it was like a great one.
And for a lot of these injuries, great ones.
There's just basically let's come back once you're one's pain feel once the pain goes down and that he was at practice today, I think he was still limited, but it's a good sign that he's at practice.
I would expect him to be able to go at this point.
Even that sort of the middle of the week here.
Yeah, I saw a lot of picking up the back up quarterback for the Colts, and I got kind of worried I might quit it, just like it is Brian work Friday work and, uh, like just visit years that looking into reports every day and I couldn't find anything that will hinder is I will hear reports.
What is the next guy? Preston Williams.
So what's what's going on with the actual know much about this? And I kind of like completely Earth is missing out on all the news adult because I found out e.
I mean, it happened about a week ago.
You're not that far behind now.
It was like to he was Kenyan.
Drink was with the Cardinals for, like, literally two days before he started.
Okay, Yeah, into is Preston Worms.
I don't know much about what happened.
All right? Yeah.
So pressing Williams tour is a C L.
There's not a ton to talk about, necessarily.
He's just done for the year.
And so if you look at it from Sunday, we're gonna be one, 234567 A.
By the time we get to July, I think Williams will be ready to go.
He'll probably miss training camp, but he and he'll cut it close for a weak one.
But I think that he should be ready.
Problem? I mean, he might even make training camp.
It's a 96 to 9 month injury.
Generally speaking, um, that's obviously if he doesn't have any setbacks and if everything goes smoothly, But Preston Williams should be back in time for a week one as long as things go smoothly.
But he's done for this year.
Yeah, I got some names in mind as Faras who you might want to look at a jury place in this first fantasy, but I think it's a little bit later.
He was thinking of a place in the Iron Patriot then.
Now the the Seahawks winners.
Yeah, what's what's really going on.
So, uh, Josh Gordon, his injury probably isn't that big of a deal.
I don't know what the Patriots what their thought process was or what information they had when they made that decision toe let go of Josh Gordon.
But you know how he passes exit physical.
And then he had to pass his entrance physical to get onto the Seahawks.
So he's, you know, that he's not significantly injured.
So the I R move was just a strange, strange move.
Never seen that happen before, but in terms of his health, we haven't heard anything negative.
We haven't heard that he won't be able to go next week or whatever.
And the only reason Pete Carroll didn't let him play last week, he said, is because he just didn't get there in time.
And so I don't expect him to be limited by an injury at all.
But I also do wonder how this Seahawks team who loves to run the ball you know how they are going to incorporate Josh Gordon into, you know, Tyler Lockett averages like nine targets per game.
Metcalf averages like less than five.
I think like they just don't throw the ball.
I mean, if they have to, they definitely can.
Russell Wilson put this cape on. It's incredible.
But generally speaking, they want a pound the rock and run.
So I don't really know this was sort of a head scratcher to me, and I don't know how relevant it is for fantasy football.
Hi, I all right? Later on, when we get over to our top players, Look, I'm going to be 10.
So good, but, uh, yet So going into the next player we were we were gonna d'oh, um, one player.
But I just went through a curb out there just because I think he's coming back this week.
We're gonna put in, uh, that's my hose.
What's going on with him? Because it looks like now he's he persisted, painted on a full practice now, So, yeah, I mean, I think he's fine.
I think that he's ready to go.
There were there were, ah, few studies that were sighted talking about how his risk for re dislocation last week would have been, like 30% higher.
Just according to what that the medical literature says, if you would have played and then this would get drops precipitously.
So there's a pretty low chance that it's everybody's gonna dislocate at this point, so he should be ready to go.
He practiced in full this week, and I think he's I mean, he's from all accounts.
I don't think there's anything really you should worry about.
Other than him, maybe knocking some of the rust off.
That's good to hear, because I hadn't Patmore.
I picked them up with passion. My home's got hurt.
I put him, um, I either want we got to put him in.
I r is a loud out plays, and I are, but I saw the report said like, Oh, **** better, huh? Change that.
So, yeah, we're gonna go into now our top five players that we like from this week going into this next week.
So Okay, the first player won't talk about here with the actually with Thursday night football.
Uh, believe it or not.
So Derek Carr is in a groove.
Derek Carr, in my opinion, from what he's shown us, he's a pretty average decent system quarterback.
And Jon Gruden is known for being a system guy, right? He's a coach.
He's a coach's coach.
He likes showing. He likes teaching.
He likes utilizing the talent that he has and now, especially that they have a surprisingly good offensive line.
Derek Carr has been able to work with the running game on dhe sort of work off of the running game.
He loves throwing those short to intermediate routes.
And the fact that you know the charges were coming off, I would say a pretty pretty Goodwin.
I mean, it's a solid win against the Packers, but I still don't think that defense is as good as they showed last week and especially, you know, on a short week, Uh, what Derek card looked like last week, I think that that he's gonna do.
He's gonna put up some numbers, and I think this is gonna be a shootout tonight, so I like their car this week.
I'm gonna go its head and start with Kalen Collage.
Who you're gonna have to convince me on this one, man.
So treated hit number one already back on the team so far this week.
They're playing the cults of the culture for future runner defense or 18 begins to run that thing you also have to understand.
That's what they are again.
We go for two teams, grated.
The Dolphins are bad team.
But I still think that Caleb Lodged Counted way saw the preseason on how talented he is.
And I think he's gonna make a statement. The scream.
I think you're gonna see a lot of candid collage.
I mean, what else they got to lose, You know, from Oslo best in this running back they, you know, they invest in.
And I just really think he was going to break this game for this week.
But if that doesn't convince you, dismantle the stakes player.
This is a time of the ****ing partner.
Okay, A little better.
A little better because President William T shirt, he's out.
The Colts are also work works against the past, and they have been mad.
So I'm gonna go ahead and say, you know, the other partners probably work.
Start, I can give you I'll give you that one.
I give you that one, especially with Preston Williams out.
Now I think the party's gonna demand partners.
I would disagree with Caleb Lodge.
I don't think camouflage is talented at all.
I think that now I don't mean he ranks number 59 in true yards per carry per player.
Profiler dot com.
He's number 59 s O that basically takes away all any runs that air bigger, larger than 10 yards.
And he averages, If you take away, always runs that are, you know, worser shorter than 10 yards.
He averages two yards per carry, and if you just watch him, he's just I don't know my opinion.
He's not very good, but I could be wrong. I could be wrong.
I I have a room to start it in.
Some of my colleagues, right? I Oh, yeah, I think he's worth a bad spot, definitely.
But what's your next? So this one's gonna fish tail off my 1st 1 Which was Derek Carr.
If you look at the opposite side of the passing game, I think this is a week where we're going to see a Keenan Allen regression back to the meat.
Back to the mean he was.
He has been dealing with a hamstring issue of really really minor one, but it's still limiting him to a certain extent.
And, you know, they didn't need him last week.
They got big place from Mike Williams.
They got big place from Melvin Gordon.
They got, you know, pretty pretty standard play, which is good play from 100 Henry.
They just didn't need him.
But he's still getting a ton of volume.
Two weeks ago, I think we ate.
He still he had like he was.
He was coming off of the hamstring.
Still, he was a game time decision, decided to play.
He still got, like, 10 or 11 targets or something.
I think this is a week where he gets going.
He does this thing.
He's a really streaky player.
Keenan Allen is.
He goes through these loans and peaks and valleys and ah, you get.
He's the one player that I can think of.
You might be able to think of another one who, during a fantasy season, you get like highs and lows and you get like every bit of because when you think of a player you think right, what is their ceiling? What is there? What is our floor? Very few times do you get, Do you get like a player that you go through like the entire range of their outcomes in one season? And I feel like that's right.
Now we're in a valley with Keenan Allen.
I think we're about to hit a peak and I'm on SportsCastr and silly.
Simon just gave me a tip.
I appreciate that. Silly Simon.
I don't know what I don't even know what the tips mean.
I just know that they're good.
Like I'm happy something I forgot.
I mean, what am I podcast? I do want today, after this or after Buster's, but going to my next player has the hauntings.
So I know this past week he didn't do so hot, but And you love your cowboys, You d'oh! Here nominated last year and the defensive backs and the backfield we have.
It's just it's lacking for centuries, and we just haven't been able to have, you know, amazing coverage.
And Stefan Days is probably one of the toughest receivers at that.
Actors in the face, uh, that that's nice.
They didn't hold up to 95 yards, but this is still step on days and I think I have like a flute game.
I know he had a rough start beginning.
Hey was doing doing pretty decent for himself on that last year wasn't so great.
But I still think that step on Eggs has as a fighting chance in this game.
Guys do something.
You know, I think that a lot of people underrate Kirk cousins.
I agree with that call by the Waist.
I think that people are I don't know what it is like.
They hate Kurt Cousins so much, but I mean, the dude is a definitely above average quarterback.
If he needs to throw the ball, he can throw the ball.
But the scheme that he's in just doesn't lend itself to him having to do that.
Like, honestly, I sort of consider him, like, Oh, a Russell Wilson Light.
I'm not saying he's as good as Russell Wilson, but like right, right? Right.
He's not as athletic.
He's not as quick.
Obviously, he can't make throws.
That's what I'm saying, like sort of like Josh Alan.
It's sort of like a Cam Newton light.
I sort of you Kirk cousins like a Cam Newton light simply because he's got a coaching staff that loves to run the ball.
He's got talent, and he's He's pretty mobile.
Um, he has always these characteristics, like he can lead fourth quarter comebacks.
Those air, all characters except him and Russell listen, have in common, but he's just obviously not as good at it.
But if if Kirk Cousins has to throw the ball, I definitely think that he's gonna he's gonna throw the ball and he's you know, he's gonna fall out when he needs to.
Yeah, I mean, like I said, to Mrs Cowboys, defense is not as dominant a cz I thought they would be this year, so I mean, we'll see.
But I still think this step on days has a fighting chance.
This and then, like you say her cousins is, you know, he's a decent quarterback.
So absolutely so.
Moving away from the Chargers, Chargers and, uh, and Raiders here, I'm gonna say, for an RV to reflects, I would say David Montgomery and I say that because one metre Trotsky is still the quarterback to They've pretty much said everything you know that they possibly could say about Mitchell travesty with their actions.
They started feeding David Montgomery the ball.
Ah, lot more, you know.
Ah, lot more than that.
Then they were in the beginning of the season.
I think they're just moving towards being being amore run heavy team because they know that if they get down, if they get behind, if they give the if they give possession t too much of the other team, that they're not gonna come back with Mitchell.
True bad ski at the court at the quarterback position.
You know, I saw a lot of reports to that were saying, um that we're saying essentially, that beat Reporters are starting to ask about whether they're gonna bring in Chase Daniels whether Mr Risky is still their quarterback and that's not a good sign, right? That's that's never a good sign.
So it's being it's beginning.
The end from Trotsky was a good experiment was a good thought.
He was above average coming out of North Carolina.
But I think at this point he's peaked.
For all those reasons.
I think Dave Montgomery is a good a good R B to flex moving forward.
I mean, I personally have a different this but I like that stuff going to my net.
My next guy's gonna be 10 yen.
So I don't know this one receiver for the the Saints, but it is also the highest Peter team in the league.
I think that gives him a bed a lot.
The face of Falcons, their 24th overall, 23 against the pass.
So I think what's gonna happen is a lot of forget it.
Where, what? And he's seen this kind of similar.
Yes, it's season.
What, you still healthy? Hey, was getting to Paris.
So I think this is what's gonna happen.
Back injury, uh, not focused on check in.
And it's gonna open up a lot of options for degrees.
What do you think? What do you think about trick on Smith? Come back.
He's back from an injury.
He basically plays the Ted Ginn roll any time Ted Ginn is hurt, but he has been her, and now he's finally practicing and full, and he's probably gonna be active on Sunday.
So he's a speedster just like Guinness.
He's basically the younger version of gin.
Do you think that's gonna take away from from Ted Ginn? It'll that's a good one, huh? My changing your mind? I'm changing your mind.
I can feel it through the screen, E I don't know.
Work? Yeah, right. Exactly.
So I know exactly Well, J writes about sports.
Sent me a foam finger, too.
Man, I'm getting all these these little cash prizes that are not real cash, but I still appreciate them.
Let's talk about my next guy.
Who is Devon Singletary? I like I'm consorted like these last you guys have sort of been down the stretch, guys.
Devon Secretary and David Montgomery.
You're starting to see the changing of the guard in that backfield.
Frank Gore, 79 years old.
Um, he is going to apply for Medicare this year.
He's slowly starting to slow down.
He doesn't really have any burst.
He just paid the bill.
Sort of just give him the ball because they can, because he's Frank Gore.
And he's you know, he's gonna get the yards there, there.
But you're starting to see a lot more volume.
Go towards Devon Singletary.
If you go and see the touches per carry on.
This would have happened more quickly, But the fact that Devon secretary had a hamstring injury that kept him out three weeks and then through the by, I think slow this process down.
But Devon Singletary's a good player, man.
He sees yes and vision.
He can catch the ball out of the backfield.
He's like I said, he's got the burst that the Bills don't have with Frank or and you're slowly starting to see that that volume and I saw a really cool video, actually, because you read a lot of reports.
I read a lot of reports talking about how Frank Gore's, uh, really enjoys mentoring Devon Singletary.
He says that Evan Singletary reminds him a lot of him when he was young.
Like you love to see that.
Like when you hear that stuff, that's really cool.
And then when the Bills played the Redskins, what was it last week or two weeks ago? Whatever was there's a video where you see Frank, we're talking toe Adrian Peterson and then you, like here on the video, he turns around because he was started walking away.
Then he turned back around, and he liked taps Adrian Peterson on the chest, and he's like a P. He's right here.
And then you see, like Devin Singletary walk into the frame and then Adrian Peterson starts talking to Devon Singletary like they're just like, talking about I don't know what you're talking about, But essentially, he was.
Frank Gore is trying to get a P to talk like Invest in Devon Singletary, which is stuff matters like when you get a freakin Hall of Famer like Frank Gore.
And you know Adrian Peterson on your side.
If they're talking to you, whatever, after a game like that's only positive for me, like it just shows that he's dedicated in my opinion.
And it really shows that, you know, these veterans are impressed by him, So I liked Evan Singletary. Move forward.
Oh, yeah, I just wish you would.
It worked for Berries and work.
Yeah, he's starting.
He's starting to to hear, let me find his, Um, because I know Okay, so stats, game log, And I know just reading off game long, but it's also like what's been happening.
So from week in Week seven, he had seven attempts on.
Then he had zero targets.
And then week, eh? He had three attempts, but he had six targets.
And then last week, he just busted out, had 20 rushes and he had three targets or four targets and three receptions on, then a touchdown.
So you're starting to see that you're starting they want.
And that's the big thing.
Um, they won that game.
So I think that you're starting to see the changing of the guard there.
Yeah, I said no.
What's my next guy? Who? I like that one.
I like that one.
Because I was kind of word is a locker myself with Josh supported coming back are being on the Seahawks.
But that would do to us about So Josh boarded.
Obviously, I don't know how serious this injury he had waas only that he's just got on seahawks.
So I expect, despite attending on the team, at least from this week off that he probably did have a very minor role trying to learn the offense.
But then again, I could be wrong, because this is they are playing 49 and they all the weapons they get back of the 40 Niners and the One thing I know about the 40 Niners is they are so beautiful defensively, they are undefeated, but, uh, they are actually surprisingly better, I guess of the passing game.
And they are against the rush.
So I kind of had a, like Diggle of deep when it came into my controI, Sherlock it.
But when I looked at it a little bit of numbers, they actually teams actually still did worse against the run against this defense.
It did in the past, food at the end of it, which is really surprising.
So I think they're gonna beat them.
They're gonna do it in here, and they're gonna be the only person who I could see capable of doing. It is possible.
So who was the number one quarterback? Yeah.
And with the help of Tyre lock, who is his favorite receiver, and you're gonna have a little bit became act tough in there.
You may like I said, you may have a little bit of Josh boarded, but I think that Russell Wilson's a definite start still, and so is tired.
Yeah, I like that.
I like that for a couple reasons.
Because all the reasons basically, you just said.
And then also I in my freshman year of college Tyler Locket.
That was the year that Tyler Lockett and Collin Klein would off and won the Big 12 championship.
And then we K State went to the festival and got their ass speeded toe against Oregon.
But that was a fun season because it was the first time that Snyder will Snyder's last Big 12 championship.
And then it was basically the last year that we were really, really generally good at case day.
It's got a special place in my heart.
Okay? Yeah, absolutely.
Didn't take much.
My last player here is a Christian Kirk and I want to talk about Christian Kirk simply because, um, I had a I have a bit of a disagreement with, Ah, I would call this person a big dog in the industry I have access to.
Some of these people are like, now that I'm starting to roll forward a little bit, I said, Christian Kirk is ah de facto number one wide receiver in Arizona.
Ah, that this person disagreed with me.
But if you look at the numbers, if you look at the stats and if you just the eye test, I mean Larry Fitzgerald's 34 years old.
Uh, he well, he has for the last few years, like understandably, so are addressed as the season goes forward because he's literally 77 years old.
Him and Frank Gore, AARP members together.
You know, it's just one of those things that it's you just watch that I don't like saying this either, because I hate it because it's it's just a cop out.
I think that the eye test is like the last thing you should do after you look at the numbers.
But just watching Christian Kurtz more talented, he's younger.
He's up and coming.
He's still learning, obviously, but he still is catching a lot of balls.
He's getting a lot of targets, and I know last week wasn't ideal, but I think that against the Tampa Bay defense, Christian Kirk is going to have a resurgence here this week and I think moving forward he's gonna be the better option, especially in D. F s.
Then then Larry Fitzgerald will be their first rules, just sort of slowly falling off.
Yeah, I like that.
Going into our next segment.
Bread talk about Kanu.
I'm kind of running a little short on time here, So I'm gonna try Thio, make this a squid and as characters we can.
But once a Kim Newton, drafted in 2011 1st round pick um, by the Carolina Panthers played water number, he's been in the league bounces about his 10 30 a week now.
Actually, no, I don't think this is a dearly.
So where we saw can't do his best.
2015 when he won the NDP on what? The Super Bowl.
But they were always what? Recently you're certain seal on a consistent place Canyon in this season to begin the seat before he got fish.
This was like one of his worst years because he's had.
So now with this injury, now that he's bench, now that he's already eight years in, he's about 30 years old Now.
What is to go for work should be due for a candidate like what's next for him to stay.
Let's start with the injury part Cam Newton.
He is dealing with the mid foot injury, which is a Lisfranc injury, and it's the same injury that If you remember way back in the preseason in that in Week three or whatever it was when the starter started, that's when he heard it on.
He was out for a few weeks, and then we assume that he was healthy and then came out that, he told reporters, heard he, too.
He was telling the medical staff that he he was feeling fine.
When he really wasn't.
He was never 100% so he doesn't need surgery. Dr.
Bob Anderson looked at his foot.
He said he doesn't need surgery, and so, you know, that's that's good news with bad news.
With that is that I'm starting to think from a medical perspective that he has something going on.
That's to janitor degenerative in nature, Which means like what Todd Gurley has in his knee.
I'm starting to think that Cam Newton has that in his foot, which would not be uncommon, and that's a chronic condition.
He's a big dude.
Those foot injuries happened, those big dudes more often than not, then that the smaller guys and so moving forward.
This is gonna be something that takes time to man.
It's gonna take management it's gonna take physical therapy rehabbing a lot.
It's gonna take workload management like they've done with like they've done with Todd Gurley this year.
And I think my opinion is and I feel like it would wouldn't It's not unreasonable to say that you have to discard Cam Newton's year this year he was playing the entire season hurt.
You could tell that he was hurt.
He wasn't stepping into his throws.
He was obviously lying to the medical staff when he came back and was allegedly healthy.
And you and the numbers reflect that Because, yeah, Cam Newton is streaky.
No, he was never as bad as he was in that two or three games stretch.
Um, that had to be in the season, like I would just say that this year you have to discount this year consistently.
I don't disagree that he's got his ups and downs and peaks and valleys, but he's still a solid NFL quarterback.
If his shoulder was completely healthy, this foot injury honestly was sort of like I mean, I wouldn't say freak, but it was unexpected.
I think moving forward, you know, he's got one year left on his deal.
The Panthers are probably gonna trade him.
They're probably gonna start investing in an Alan.
You've seen reports of that already? I still think that Cam Newton can be a really solid, productive quarterback for a team that build around him.
Not in the sense of, like, you know, not in the sense of we're going to build around candidate for the next five years.
Like in the sense of they're gonna plug him into a team that's already built.
And he's gonna be a peace that will help them make the playoffs and push forward in the playoffs.
Yeah, that's how I see it.
All right, So you think about who I don't know, man.
Still good, too.
I mean, if the dude wouldn't have missed about one week, he'd be on track to throw for 5000 yards.
Matt Ryan's good.
It's just that everybody else around him, it's terrible.
I mean, other than Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley's, even not that great, he's okay.
I mean, he's been he's been a disappointment this year, like we were drafting him in, like third rounds this year.
fourth rounds, and he has not lived up to that.
I don't even know how many points PPR points he's averaging.
About Calvin really has been an objective disappointment.
Not that he's not talented and he can't do better, But I don't He just hasn't performed this year.
Well, I'm not saying that they're gonna get rid of my crime, because Ryan, right now he is in his East 38 Ford and Tom Brady is proven.
You know, you could play in your forties, but mmm, well, I don't know how much longer that ride.
Let's stay in this.
He's thinking about going.
But I think given that Cam is also from Georgia, that, uh, yeah, I don't I don't think that's a that's a bad place.
I was also thinking about you know, this would this one's way out there in left field? You know, there are a lot of reports saying that Brady's gonna be done and go somewhere else after the end of this year.
And if he does what if What if Cam landed in New England? That would be nuts.
That would be nuts to me.
You said, you know Maybe maybe maybe that stretch, but or or the investing it holes Because, I mean, like, Jaguars, my second favorite team.
But, uh, I like this.
You and I also really like fools.
Obviously, he's proven you're really good quarterback.
Carrying a team on the shoulders of Philadelphia won the Super Bowl.
Uh, but, you know, when you look at where to go from here cause the Jaguars have already started, they're rebuilding process.
And you could build with Nick Foles, who's a little order who has proven to be hurt almost every year, have some sort of injury, or you can fill it around this issue and work with them.
And, you know, obviously he's gonna get better over time.
There's a lot to like about him and, you know, yeah, it was a lot of money poured into this quarterback, but you know, the same time, you gotta look at the facts.
And I'd say that the Patriots might even want to look into bowls.
I think that's that's also a good choice.
****, it means you mania, Adam.
Blame him there.
Yeah, so All right.
You enjoy that man really short.
So like I said, I haven't been on for a while.
Very busy and started a new job.
Student beat kind of firearms instructor.
Um, And then I got school in that fridge service duties.
So it's coming for two weeks, but try to get back into it.
It's more articles being pushed out there writing for now, over time heroics.
So it's not that, but anything else? That's it, man.
It's a good show today.
So go ahead and call a student doctor.
Uh, actually, call me.
I have have, uh, have his twitter on their I shared this this podcast on my twitter to go ahead and follow him. Follow me.
And who this next week? Well, see you toddle back on, we'll have a regular schedule.
Just kind of over the place, because my birthday this week, but we're gonna get back on track.
I'm birthday, man.
Oh, thanks, man.
What? Uh, we're gonna have some more stuff on SportsCastr.
Probably do something for a rapid classroom this game today and then the upcoming games and we'll go from there.
But thanks, guys.
You guys next week see a very cool
