What a boring thing that'll be, What a boy. But you know what? Nice.
Nice weekend off for me just to watch football and and not care at all.
Don't forget a man.
Follow me on Twitter and Instagram at dp An underscore ray again, That's at dp an underscore, Ray, we have some lively conversations.
It's only when you guys beat up my timeline with stupid arguments and means of beards and gifts of beards that I just say Enough.
But anyways, ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to start talking some football because here it DPMNE.
We like football.
We like football season and everything that goes with it.
Pretty loaded schedule for tonight.
I'm going to talk about I got a question on Twitter.
I promised I talked about it.
I'll kick it off.
How do the patriots stop a mobile quarterback? I'm gonna talk about on article that came out today by an opinion piece by a guy named Elliot Shore Parks in Philadelphia making the case about the Eagles and how they should sign Antonio Brown.
I'm gonna talk about Russell Wilson being the NFC player of the game for the second time this season, I want to talk a little bit about our boy, James White and how he deserves more carries and how he could actually help improve the Patriots offense.
Ladies and gentlemen, this weekend's gonna be kind of exciting is one of our rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Their season will be decided this weekend when they take on the Indianapolis Colts.
I want to talk a little bit about the A F C South.
Is Golden Tate fed up with the Giants? Why don't the Patriots play Damian Harris and Jets fans feel lied to already, and they're giving up on Adam Gates.
All that and more here on deep E N I C u guys, questions.
Hold the questions there because you know what? The end of my show, I'll be answering the questions.
It takes a while for the YouTube people to come on and start asking.
I'll be answered them right here, so make sure you stick around for the second part of the show that starts around 10 30.
But let's talk about can the Patriots stop a mobile quarterback? And obviously, this comes after a game when Lamar Jackson ran all over the New England Patriots.
Here's the one thing guys that we need to remember.
The thing that we need to keep in our brain.
Because Lamar Jackson is a unique case in the NFL, there's not.
You can't point to another quarterback in the league.
That's like Lamar Jackson, right? Russell Wilson is a fast running back.
He's not Lamar Jackson.
Patrick Holmes can use his legs.
He's not Lamar Jackson.
So the Patriots have done well, stopping mobile quarterbacks outside a Lamar Jackson.
Let's go back to the Buffalo Bills.
The game we won, the Patriots put a spy on Jamie Collins, basically put a spied Josh Alan almost all night.
And Josh Allen is really good with his legs, and the Patriots took his legs away from him.
Ben Roethlisberger is a scrambler, and the patriot of the Patriots took his legs away from him.
The Patriots have no issues, no issues at all with stopping a mobile quarterback.
Think back to 2014 different defense, but think back to Super Bowl.
49 quarterback contain, played, quarterback contain, and they contained Russell Wilson almost all night, and they can contain.
They have no problems containing a normal scrambling quarterback they could contain Cam Newton.
Yeah, the occasional guy will get Ah, run off on him in a lane opens up.
For the most part, they can contain them.
Lamar Jackson is like a freak again.
He's like a running back or a wide receiver who happens to play quarterback.
It's a very different thing altogether, and I was reminded of the Miami Dolphins when they introduced the Wildcat formation.
And if you remember, just the Patriots looking abysmal as they Miami just ran the Wildcat all over them eventually, not just Bill Ballot shocked the entire league, figured out how to stop the Wildcat, and you hardly ever see it anymore.
They occasionally somebody runs a fluke.
You know, some some gim**** plane will run, run a wildcat, but for the most part, the Wildcat play is done in debt.
When I think of that Buffalo gamer that Baltimore game and someone asked kind of asked me the question.
I agree with Joshua.
I don't believe that Bill Bell check showed his entire hand in Baltimore.
I don't believe that he showed everything that the Patriots defense has.
I'm sure that Ballot Shack watched that game and thought we're going to see him again in the playoffs because I talked about how to contain Lamar Jackson prior to the game, right bye.
Talked about how to do it and if I can see it, My God, Bill Belichick can see it.
You gotta spy him the same way you spy Josh, Alan or Ben Roethlisberger.
But you don't spine with a linebacker, I said, You gotta put Jonathan Jones in the box lineup Jonathan Jones like a linebacker and have him spy Lamar Jackson Jones.
Speed and strength.
An open field tackling would be the perfect answer to Lamar Jackson.
Here's the thing if Bill Belichick does that Week nine.
If they meet again in the divisional round or the A F C championship, then John Harbaugh would know how to counter that.
Harbaugh is a good coach.
He's always coached the Patriots tough.
He also comes from a tree with Bill Belichick, right.
They have a history together, and he's always played him tough.
He knows how to counter act the Patriots defense.
He knows how to counter act the Patriots offense he knows built ballot check just as well as Bill Belichick knows him.
That's why they just go blow for blow back and forth against each other.
Sometimes ballot check gets it.
Sometimes Harbaugh gets it.
Harbaugh also had two weeks coming off a bye to prepare for this game.
If the Patriots and the Ravens end up playing each other, you're going to see an entirely different defense coming out of the Patriots.
And even if Belichick somehow didn't think a spy would work, I guarantee he'll be looking at it. He'll be looking for solutions.
Belichick needs to see you once, and I'm not saying they're going to go and completely shut down a Lamar Jackson the next time they play.
Let's let's not get stupid.
You know, that's like saying, Well, let's just shut down Tom Brady.
Let's just shut down Patrick Mahomes or let's just shut down.
You know, whoever sometimes players or just good and you can't shut them down completely.
But what you can do it slow them down enough.
I talked about it before eight and one when it was eight.
706 No, we talked about this Patriots being a historically good defense, and there's still a historically good defense and we talked about them going into Kansas City and I said, They're not going to stop Patrick Mahomes.
I guarantee t they wouldn't stop Patrick Holmes.
You don't stop Patrick Mahomes, but you sold him down.
You slow him down and not so let the offense can score points, and you let your offense score more points in your defense.
Then the other team and the defense is enough to not let Patrick Mahomes outscore him.
And balance Check was able to shut him down for 1/2 and he blew up in the second half.
And if you go, you know, I mean, don't you don't waste your time If you go back to my Twitter feed.
I tweeted at halftime something almost exactly like great first half.
But be prepared for an explosion from the Chiefs in the second, and that's exactly what happened.
But, you know, the Patriots know howto beat a good quarterback.
They know how to beat a they know how to stop a mobile quarterback.
We can't look at a Lamar Jackson game and and think that that reflective of how the Patriots play because it's not.
And I believe that Bill Belichick will have an answer.
The next time that he goes out in the face is Lamar Jackson.
But I want to get into this Abie to Philadelphia thing, and it was an interesting article and it was just one guy.
It was an opinion writer.
It was like it was a guest.
Nation was like the same thing that we we read on the Patriots.
You know, when guys just give their opinions.
But he was making the argument of Y.
Antonio Brown should go to the Eagles, and he basically laid out the same argument that when the Patriots signed Antonio Brown that I made calling it a no risk, a low risk signing, and people laughed at me when I called it a low risk signing.
But it really was.
It really was a low risk signing because the positives are, If he did go to Philadelphia, you would get a, you know, one of the best wide receivers in the league.
We saw what he could do with Tom Brady.
After one game, right, we saw what he can do.
He's a great receiver.
He led the league in touchdowns last year.
I think he's got 1200 yards like this is the last six straight seasons.
The guy would instantly be the best receiver on Philadelphia, just like he would have been the best receiver on New England if he never left if he didn't become, you know, train rack in a in a basket case that ruined it for himself.
The downside is the distraction, though, right? He's because he's gonna be distracted even if he's on his best behavior.
Philadelphia will be instantly become the number one story in the NFL, And that would concern me if I'm a Philadelphia Eagle fan because I don't think Philadelphia can handle a distraction.
Like Antonio Brown, there's already talk of unrest in the Philadelphia locker room.
There's guys in there that wished that Nick Falls was still there.
Quarterback instead of Carson Wentz, one of the best young quarterbacks in the game.
A little overrated, but one of the best young ones in the game and you got laying Johnson coming out.
I mean, I know he's on Twitter now going on.
We're going to be some fun because they want a couple of games.
You gotta coming out after the loss of the Cowboys and I'm talking about guys showing up late to meetings and people got to be held accountable.
And, you know, you don't see Bill Belichick writing a book.
So they got all these problems in the locker room.
It was a linebacker, a cornerback, and he was on the first take or something he was talking about.
It was like one of the most dysfunctional locker rooms he'd ever been a part of, and guys were taking no accountability and yada, yada, yada.
And you want to bring Antonio Brown into the mix.
You think that your team can handle the type of scrutiny that Antonio Brown will bring? He's a low risk in the sense of if he screws up and he's an idiot is cut him just like the Patriots did.
You know Bill Belichick doesn't care that we're on Twitter screaming, Resilient.
Maybe he doesn't care.
Readies move was on with his life.
But what could Really, I guess hurt is we don't still don't know what the NFL is gonna do with Antonio Brown.
There's been teams.
I heard rumors that apparently, um, Russell Wilson was lobbying the Seattle Seahawks to sign Antonio Brown before they claim Josh Gordon offer waivers.
And we've heard that a couple of teams, I think Philly was one of those teams Name had been interested in possibly bringing in Antonio Brown.
But the NFL is basically held him hostage because he, um they don't know what's gonna happen within the NFL, have dragged their feet on the investigation, which means, technically, he's still able to play.
But because they've done that, the he's been so undesirable to sign, because the last thing you want to do is invest anything into him.
Invest anything to get in a acclimatized to your offense, for him just to be cut, and that's where it becomes a risk.
So if you're the Eagles and I'm not saying this because I don't want to face Antonio Brown next week, nothing like that.
What I'm saying, though, is if you're the Eagles, bring in Antonio Brown would be an absolute nightmare.
I got the article.
Elliot did a good job.
He made some good points, but it just kind of it just caught my attention and I wanted to talk about it because it was just, you know, to me, the one place I probably couldn't handle on Antonio Brown right now is a Philadelphia, But you know where you probably could have got along where he probably could have went with Seattle specials with with Russell Wilson there, Pete Carroll's players coach, unless you're, you know, part of the Legion of Boom and unless you have the ball on the one yard line in the Super Bowl.
But I got to talk about Russell Wilson.
So this week I talked about Lamar Jackson having to be in the conversation.
When it comes to the empty people, right? I talked about it.
Any have to and really the consensus all year from BP.
You know, last year was a lock.
Last year, everybody knew that Patrick Mahomes was gonna be the most valuable player of the National Football League.
We're just just waiting for honors and, you know, waiting for the award to be given out this year.
There's a lot of guys to Sean Watson's there.
Russell Wilson's in the conversation.
Lamar Jackson is now in the conversation.
I'm missing somebody.
There's one other player.
If I remember, I'll get back to it.
But now Russell Wilson, for the second time this year, has been selected as the NFC player of the week, and I think he's more than deserving of Player of the week.
He put up like 400 yards against Tampa Bay.
He drove the ball 75 yards, put his team in field goal range to take the win the game at the end of the fourth quarter, and they missed a field goal.
He gets the ball in overtime, drives the ball 75 yards again for when it was his 31st game winning drive in the fourth quarter, or over time in his career.
That's the most since he's entered the league and really, week after week after week.
He has played absolutely spectacular, and he has to be now at the top of the list.
Does he know it? Yeah, Sean Watson's having a good year.
Lamar Jackson has obviously put himself into the conversation.
But you look at Russell Wilson.
Aaron Rodgers. That's the other guy.
You look a Russell Wilson.
He's just been unbelievable.
He's really he's dragging.
He reminds me of Tom Brady of times where he's just dragging an inadequate team into the playoffs.
It's, Yeah, let's talk a little more Patriots.
So that's I know a lot of you want to come here and hear me talk about the Patriots.
Let's talk a little bit more page.
It's talk about James White a little bit.
So I've been thinking about the Patriots running game and how they can improve it.
And to me, my guy kind of on my list was Rex Burkhead.
I thought, because of his versatility of running the ball and taking to catch mix him up, I think I talked about it last night in the Q and A on with with YouTube.
But I thought about James White today, and I thought, You know what? If they could get James Whitemore involved in the run game, it could really solve a lot of the Patriots problems, because again, every time you have James White and Rex Burkhead lined up, you would have to respect the run and respect the past.
James Waits, probably the most elusive ball runner that they have on the team so he can get open, and what I would like to see is the pages run the ball 30 times a game.
In all, three guys get 10 Russia's each.
Even if you don't get Sony Michelle involved in the passing game in the sense of going to take a pass, have him on the field, run, play action with them, use them as a blocker, a decoy of some sort, run some screen passes with him, but play the guy's equally give him 10 rushes a game.
Never let the defense no when the run is coming, the offensive line has been so bad, the Patriots need to counter that by making sure that they put the team in a situation where I don't know if you call a trickery or I don't want to call A gim**** is gim****s, probably not the right term for it.
But put the running backs in a situation where the defense isn't expecting it or they have to respect both.
That'll open up the passing game.
It'll open up the running game.
I think there's a lot of good things that the Patriots could do by getting James White more involved in the run game, getting Sony Michelle more involved in the past game, using Rex Burkhead the way they have this sort of mix of running past, but use all three of them equally because right now, basically, you know it's only Michelle is the primary early back.
James James White is 1/3 down back, and Rex Burkhead is a good alternates, which piece to put in there every once in a while, just to show a different look on defense.
But if you use all three on a consistent basis and give them 10 runs each a game, run the ball 30 times.
I think you'll start seeing 120 130 yard days combined.
We don't need Sony Michelle to run for 100 yards.
If you could do 130 140 combined between three guys, but I think it starts James White.
It starts, given the ball of James White more, letting him run that ball more.
But I'll tell you one thing the Patriots do you have there eight and one.
Basically, we know the playoffs is coming.
We just want them to keep winning, so we make sure we get the A F C Championship Game, one team whose season is gonna be decided this weekend.
I know there's lots of football left.
But trust me, it's gonna be decided this weekend is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
So right now the Buffalo Bills are sitting at six and two.
They're the first wild card team.
I already said the Bills were the best team in the A F C East outside of New England.
They're gonna be in the playoffs, is here.
They're gonna be in the wild card game.
Mark my words, they're not gonna fall off.
Then you got the Colts or the second wild card team at five and three, and then you got the Steelers and the Raiders were both sitting at four on four.
And guess what? The Pittsburgh Steelers just happen to be playing the Indianapolis Colts this weekend.
If the Steelers win, that improves the Steelers to five and four, and that drops the Colts down a five and four, and that actually moves a Mason Rudolph lead Pittsburgh Steelers into a playoff spot if they lose season's over.
Now, I've heard rumors that Tom and believes that James Carter will be back this week, so it'll be interesting to see that and see how he comes along.
But this has really been a crazy year.
I mean, if you look at the A F c South and how open the U. S.
F C South is it's unbelievable to me just how different this season really is.
So of course you got the taxes are leading that Division six and three.
The Culture five and three.
The Colts beat the taxes.
They bump in the first.
Then you got the Jags or four and five, the Titans or four or five.
I mean that a F C South, especially with the injuries that the tax and they're dealing with, that ABC South is wide open for anybody to win, you know, and you want to look at the taxes and you want to look at the Sharm Watson and you want to look at that.
You know, DeAndre Hopkins and how good that team is on defense.
J. J. Watts, now out for the year.
But it's really weird that we're what going into Week 10 and we're talking about the Steelers, whose season could be over the cold to wanna win to keep that wild card spot.
But the cold still gotta win because they have a chance of winning the A F C.
What are the F C South? You know they have a chance of hosting a playoff game and depending how came to see plays out.
They could actually fight because they have the tie breaker over Kansas City.
They could get a bye.
Take it Force Kansas City, the host a game at home in the wild card round.
That's where we are now, because between the Texans and the Ravens and all that, I mean, it's a really, really tight race, and it's kind of cool this year because last year it was New England, Kansas City and everybody else.
This year, it's New England, everybody else.
But you got Kansas City in the mix.
You got the Colts in the mix.
You got the taxes in the mix, basically, that you got the entire A F C South still in the mix.
The Buffalo Bills are in the mix of things.
The Raiders are in the mix.
There's a lot of teams that had the opportunity to come out and do some damage going into the playoffs or getting into the playoffs.
It's gonna be weird.
And yet the FC, sitting at the top of the A F C.
That no one's nears.
The Patriots were eight and one.
You know, I'm watching people talking about how well, now that another Ravens are the tiebreaker, well, I don't expect the Patriots to even be in a tie breaking situation.
We talked about this week.
Yeah, the Patriots could lose another game.
They could finish this season 14 and two.
That's still good enough to win the A F C.
And the Navy Championship game runs through New England.
It's been a good year for the FC.
Last year, they've see sucked.
It was Patriots came to city and everybody else.
Nope, We didn't care about anybody else.
Yeah, the Ravens just got in the playoffs.
The Steelers didn't make the playoffs.
The Chargers were overrated.
Who else was in the playoffs last year? It doesn't matter.
The whole point is watching this battle in the A.
Has been fun this year, so we're kind of fly through these last three subjects here because in a boat, if I got about five minutes before, we gotta bring in the YouTube people and start our live chat.
Golden Tate is getting frustrated with all the knucklehead moves coming up with the Giants is getting frustrated with mistakes.
Is getting frustrated with, you know, all this kind of stuff.
It makes me laugh.
Because Golden Tate, when he you know, was became a free agent, talk about how he wanted to go play for a contender.
It was well do***ented that Bill Belichick wanted to sign Golden Tate.
It was well do***ented that he could have came to the Patriots and played for a true contender.
And then he took the money and he went to the New York Giants.
So I find it absolutely hilarious that he's now playing from one of the most inept teams in the league, one of the most inadequate coaches in the league.
Playing with a rookie quarterback, he watched Odell Beckham Jr.
One of a generational talent, go over to Cleveland, and he's frustrated.
I feel bad for Squam Barkley, who's stuck playing for New York to because he's obviously the best running back in the league, I guess next of Lamar Jackson.
But you know, I mean, and I'm not gonna take that was good for you, man.
Contenders all over the league would have paid for Golden Tate, but not as much of the Giants who could pay for him.
And now he's stuck with Nate Solder, who can't block.
He's stuck with the defense that makes 150 mistakes a game.
He's stuck with an offense that makes mistakes.
He's stuck with a rookie quarterback who's still learning what it's like to play in the National Football League.
Good for you, Mr Tate.
I'll finish with the demon hairs thing.
I'm not gonna talk much because my YouTube video tomorrow is actually eyes actually about Damian Harris.
But Jets fans are watching Adam Gates.
Who's ruining what's a pretty talented team? Um, Adam Gates has schemed Lady on Balan to being bad.
So bad to the fact that the Jack's reaction taking calls about trading Levy on Belle as if it was his fault.
And it makes me laugh because Jets fans feel like they were lied to.
They feel like they were getting a great quarter, a great coach who is going to come in and bring them to the Promised land.
The same coach who had a talented Miami team and couldn't get them going who underachieved for years of Miami.
You thought that was the guy that was going to go to New York.
Of all places where the media scrutiny is high, we're the light, shine, the brightest.
At times you thought that was the guy that was going to bring you to the Promised Land.
Are you kidding me? Jeez, ways.
You know, a lot of pages fans are asking about Damian Harris, and I got about a minute and 15 seconds here to talk about it.
And then I will get into the live questions and we'll bring in YouTube and we'll get that going.
Um, I believe that Damian Harris is not playing because Bill Belichick doesn't believe that Damian hairs will make the team better right now.
I know there's a lot of people that disagree with that ****ogy.
I just like to say that, um, we are not smarter than Bill Belichick.
I'm not smarter than Bill Belichick.
You're not smarter than Bill Belichick, the Patriots running backs.
I don't blame them.
I blame a lot of other things.
As Sony Michelle, His decision making has been a little off this year, but for the most part we don't have Rob Gronkowski.
We don't have Dwayne Allen.
We don't have James Devlin.
We don't have Isaiah when we don't have trend.
Brown, who is now over at the Raiders.
The guards aren't playing the way they played all last.
We don't have David Andrews.
Damian Harris will not fix the Patriots run game.
It's not unusual for Bill Ballot Shack to sit a rookie, and I think that we will get Maur of Damian Harris next season.
But as for this season, we don't without being sad.
Thank you, everybody.
Tune into the SportsCastr show tonight. We're gonna bring in.
Ah, we're gonna bring in YouTube now Just give me a second here.
So I guys, I pressed the wrong button.
What? So I need Thio.
Ah, get this going.
And I know my first question of the day is will we see the triple pass Adam into Seenu or C Nu Tau Adelman to door sat? We'll have to see me and we'll talk about it right now.
Let me just get this all going for everybody.
Let me get you two Been here.
What's going on? What's going on? Everybody in YouTube land.
Thank you so much for coming into the live chat tonight to chat some patriots.
You're joining me here live.
I got the SportsCastr crew up on the other side That's been with me since 10 o'clock.
Every night at 10 o'clock, I am live on SportsCastr talking about in the New England Patriots talking about the NFL.
Then after I do my half hour show, I patch in Pats Nation so everybody could come in here and we have a live shot.
You can ask some questions.
We can do some stuff.
So thank you to everybody who is in right now.
I just left a link to my SportsCastr profile so you could make sure that you never miss a stream any night of the week and, ah, Yemen Monday to Friday, Saturday, Sunday, every day of the week of Mon SportsCastr.
It's now going to be a consistent time at 10 PM followed my profile be notified when I'm on there and there we got So the first question I got comes from Joshua over on SportsCastr He's asking me about Are we going to see a triple pass or I guess, a quadruple past Tom Brady to Mohammad Sanu to Julian Edelman to Philip Door set, and you could probably mix it up and go Brady to Jules, Jules, Sister knew or whatever.
You could make the hold up as crazy as that would be as highlight rule realize that would be.
I love to see something crazy like that.
I don't I don't think we're going to see it.
I think right now it's just, you know, the best thing for the Patriots to do is just it's just focus on the Patriots.
Um, I think it's just focused on fun.
The Patriots getting Sanou acclimatized to playing on the Patriots offense and playing with Tom Brady.
He's done a good job so far.
I think that should be the focus.
I know he can throw the ball.
SNU should be back with the Patriots next season, so maybe they could look into some some crazy little stop.
But I think when you're just passing the ball all over the field and you doing like triple passes and quadruple passes and you're starting, you know you're starting to open yourself up for some mistakes, so I think would be cool I want to see that man want to see? Thanks for your question.
Ah, what's going on? But on YouTube, That drug.
Everybody is coming in.
Ko gi was going on.
Logan, What's happening? Kenneth? Yo, be smooth.
My plans for the bye week, man is just to enjoy stuff.
Get caught up on a whole bunch of stuff that I would talk.
But before I don't have to call a game this weekend.
Ah, you know, they do call.
I do actually do live play by play in reaction on SportsCastr to Patriots games every week.
And I don't have to do that this weekend, so I'm going to enjoy my weekend with my family.
I'll still be on the doing my regular stream at night, but no play by Ray.
So I'm happy about that.
What's your plan for the bye week? Okay.
What we got here? Um I keep hearing people say that's too small for me to read.
I keep hearing people say now that no defence can stop Lamar Jackson at the page, Patriots can't beat above 500 team.
It drives me nuts sometimes.
Yeah, I talked to about that tonight.
Ah, my SportsCastr Stream.
But for the benefit of people on YouTube all do this year.
I believe that Bill Belichick didn't show his complete hand against Lamar Jackson.
And look, I'm not taking nothing away from Lamar.
Lamar is a fantastic, fantastic running quarterback.
He does things that we've never seen before.
The Ravens team ran formations that were blowing my mind.
So let's give credit where credit's due.
But I believe that Bill Belichick didn't completely tip his whole hand.
I think that ballot check knows that they're going to see them again.
And I'm not gonna go too long on this because I don't my SportsCastr viewers are probably thinking, Jesus, we just heard him talk about this, but, um, yeah, the pages can be above 500 teams.
They beat in about 500 team. They beat the bills.
So the hell with everybody saying that they can't be in above five other team you got. Ignore the noise, man.
I have not paid attention to Twitter.
I've no I've been on Twitter, but I'm I haven't paid attention to the talking, adds that Callum ends the Parkers.
Even Skip Bayliss and Shannon Sharpe.
I mean Listen, Nick, right? Those guys are all fake reporters, and they're all personalities and TV personalities that get paid to give hot takes.
And trust me, one day they're gonna be talking the same way about Patrick my homes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Maybe next year they're talking about, you know, if Tom Brady retired this year, next year they'll be talking about, you know, Aaron Rodgers that way.
You know, the worst case scenario for any of those guys is that, you know, Tom Brady actually retires in the Patriots sock because it's the easiest target in the world.
Some don't just ignore it, man.
Are we worried a boat at all about the offensive line going forward.
Douglas, I am petrified about the offensive line going forward.
I know that the, um you know, Isaiah win coming back will definitely be a a boost to the offensive line.
I believe that they will be, you know better.
Um, but, you know, with all reality, the rest of the offensive line is played better to shack.
Mason hasn't played that great this season.
Um, tunes playing okay.
Like Marcus Cannon's been their best lineman for the most part, so Yeah, man.
Yeah, it's Everybody needs to play better.
We need to get Marshall Newhouse off that line.
That's definitely one of the big things.
So, yeah, I'm not I'm not thrilled at all about the offensive line play.
I mean, who can be Who can look at how this offensive line is playing and be happy with what we're seeing right now? All right.
No questions over on SportsCastrs.
Got a question, right? Has got a question.
He has improved.
Would you re sign him? Ah, long term.
Big boys like him are rare.
I'd give him two or three years.
You know what? I wasn't keen on bringing Danny Shelton back after last season.
He caught a bunch of weight.
This year, he's been playing really, really well.
He's probably you know him And, you know, probably Adam Butler have been our two best defensive lineman, DS.
Um, especially playing that 34 bases really excelled in that 34 Yeah.
I would definitely bring Danny Shelton back.
I don't think this is like, some anomaly that he's just coming together.
I think he really put a lot of effort into getting strong.
Getting big, um, you know, cutting fat in, put on some muscle.
He looks quicker.
He looks stronger.
His footwork has been phenomenal this year, and I've talked about that a couple times.
I've been really impressed with how good his footwork is. Look.
Ah, so, yeah, I would definitely give him term.
Um, if I was gonna get a contract, you have probably given a two year.
Maybe it's three year with a team option on the third year.
Um, but you know what, Bouche? I could probably give him, like, a five year, but it actually is void after two years just to mess with some salary cap.
But I mean again, it's gonna come down to How much does he cost? Right.
Um, sometimes guys get too expensive.
This could be a contract year for Danny Shelton, but I don't think he's done enough to really earn like, ah, huge ass, like, you know, bank breaking contract.
So I think the pages probably could afford him, so yeah, I would definitely bring him back, like yeah, absolutely.
Um, where we out here markets had it was stop array onto the Eagles.
I'll be going to the game.
Hopefully, Patriots and get a win.
All right, Mark it.
Well, first of all, Marcus, enjoy the game.
I hope you enjoy good luck in Philadelphia.
Uh, hope you don't get it bombarded with batteries? Um, yeah, man.
I mean, I'm assuming a lot of you guys saw my veal that I put out this morning.
It's just where are? It's on to Philadelphia.
I'm tired of talking about the Baltimore game.
I don't You know, I don't want to talk about the Ravens team.
I don't want to sit for the next two weeks and talk about Lamar Jackson.
And I don't want to talk about Hightower having an awful game or jumping offside on fourth down like I'm just done.
You know what I'm saying? I said in my video this morning, like that game on Sunday night reminded me so much.
Give This week has given me such a feel of 2014 when the pages got blown out to the chief's on Monday Night Football and we're just honest.
Cincinnati on the Cincinnati Honest Cincinnati, You know, it's funny.
The Patriots, they're smiling.
They're ready to go.
They're ready to keep practicing.
They're ready to get the Philadelphia and they've moved on.
Devon are? Yeah.
Um, Devin McCourty said.
A perfect it's It's not the first time they've lost, You know, our high.
I was recorded at sea.
McCord has said that, um, Kyle Benoit came out and said, You know what's still eight and one? It's, you know, they're all smile.
Apparently, they're laughing and joking and smiling in the locker room.
I mean, you gotta look at the reality is they got the best record in the A F. C.
Um, the only other teams got a better record than them is in the NFC in It's the eight.
No San Francisco 40 Niners.
So look, they played a team that was coming off a bye.
They're playing at home on Sunday Night Football.
When the lights were the brightest, you gave John Harbaugh, who's a great coach.
The plan for Bill Belichick Bilbao check will be ready the next time they played Baltimore and I think they will play Baltimore sometime in the playoffs and they'll meet again and I think that Bill about Chuck will be ready, but absolutely on a Philadelphia.
I'll be really talking about more about Philly.
I guess this is probably a good time to to make a little announcement starting next week, I'm teaming up with.
He's now called The Master at Work, formerly known as Kissed The Rings. My boy Tyson.
Him and I will be doing a weekly Patriot show on Wednesday nights, talking all about the Patriots on what upcoming games that game before rumors, uh, giving opinions, that kind of thing. We're really excited.
I got a lot of great feedback from when we did our, you know, pre Super Bowl in post Super Bowl streams together.
Um, a lot of people like that.
I got a lot of that stuff on.
You know, I got a lot of people on Twitter talking about how much they liked it and wanted us to do it again.
So we had a little bit of a chat, and we have decided that we're gonna be doing a weekly show.
It's going to get all the details of where you can find it and how it's gonna work and all that kind of stuff.
I will let everybody know, But I'm excited to be back on the air with my boy Tice and being able to talk about the Patriots.
Um, you know, and we're the perfect, Like Ying and Yang, right? You've got me.
Who's more of Ah ah, little kooky little, you know, nerdy, little corny at times you got Ah, but really likes to really spoke us on football.
And I stick more to football and trying to give ****ysis and that kind of thing.
And then you got the best absolute best smack talker in all of pats nation.
Um, who talks the best **** I've ever heard in my life, and I And if you guys have been seen his new video that just came out today with his, um, he mixed a ah, halfway point.
You know, highlight reel of the patriots.
It's on, actually phenomenal video.
I think you did a great job.
Great music choices.
Um, check it out.
Get a master at work or masterworks you put kiss the rings into YouTube.
His thing will pop up to Ah, but you know what it is is our boy Tyson.
So enjoy the game.
Mark is on the Philly.
Ah, we got police.
I was going on a raid.
Dez Bryant is trying to come back.
Think he would be a good with the Patriots? It's the annual Dez Bryant to New England conversation.
No, I think the Patriots are done out in wide receivers.
I think that McKeel Harry will be the next wide receiver.
Added to the Patriots.
Um, yeah, you know, does Bright way.
He didn't play all of last season.
He hasn't played yet this season.
At some point, I think, you know, the guy has got to give up on his dream that, you know, I think his NFL days we're dining behind them.
Maybe they'll take him in the XFL.
I'm not sure I get why people seem is a good fit in New England, but I just don't see how he is a fit.
He maybe personality wise, you could probably come in and get along with Tom Brady and sinew and adult men.
I think I think that does is a pretty good locker room guy.
If you really look att, everything in the big picture, he gets a little emotional sometimes on the sidelines.
But All in all, he's an okay, locker room guy.
That's why I like Jerry Jones, like in tears when they release them.
Um, but I don't see how he fits.
Actually, the offensive scheme of things he would probably take away in the keel.
Harry's, um, and or Phillip Dorsett its position on I don't think he has the speed and the strength that he once had.
Um, And to be completely honest with you, I think you'd be a downgrade from all the receivers we have on the team.
And maybe he's an upgrade from Jacoby Meyers.
But at this point, I'm not.
You know, I don't want to put your coat with Myers on waivers for Dez Bryant when we have a future like that.
So I don't see ah Jacoby Meyers car.
Sorry, Dez Bryant come into the team.
I seen the Kill Harry playing against the Philadelphia Eagles, and I think that he'll he'll give us a much better chance of winning than Dez Bryant would've.
But thanks for the question.
I know people are always looking for answers for the offense, but, um, I don't I don't think Dad's Bryant is gonna is gonna be the guy.
What's up, man? Longtime subscriber.
Do you think the Patriots will utilize to new the same way they utilize Amendola? I do.
I believe that I talked a little bit about this last night.
I believe that Mom, it's the new is gonna play the Danny Amendola role.
I think he's a better version of Danny Amendola.
That's my honest opinion.
I think that that's what we're going to see out of Mr Knew all season.
Um, he's gonna play in the slot, he's gonna play a little bit outside.
You can put him in Adelman both on the inside, actually, and Julian Adam.
And if you look at the way the Patriots like to use them, they prefer to use him on the outside rather than the inside.
So I think the more they're gonna acclimatize to new to play on the outside are in on the inside and a client and climate ties him to the offense to the offenses scheme.
Then they'll be able to use Julian Edelman on the outside, more on the top of the top of the formation.
Um, so, yeah, I believe it is.
And you know, if you look at a lot of the things he did in Atlanta and some of the things he's doing now in New England, and obviously he's still learning the system.
But if you watch some of the things he does, it's very Amendola like, you know, they're both different, different players.
But I'm the kind of the routes that they run in, the way they do in the way they tuck high on the lines and that kind of thing.
Um, I'm not gonna go deep into this because I talked deep on it last night.
But you know, like the stock formation with Edelman and Watson and and and the new on Sunday is something I expect to see a lot more.
And I was calling for them to run a stack.
Place two news, the sort of perfect player to have a stock formation.
And it led to a touchdown and an adult Men that was like that was his bread and butter on with the Patriots, especially in the red zone.
And I expect Mom, it's too new to be a actually a big red zone target for the Patriots and not going up for jump balls but schemes to get him the ball.
So looking for questions here.
So where the questions of the top? I'm back over on.
SportsCastr gonna get some SportsCastr questions.
Um, I can't find these questions that SportsCastrs tow asking me about.
So if you can re asked them, that would be great.
Rhino, if you can help me out here and put some of the questions down, Alaska one all answer one more on YouTube, but I'll switch back over there if you can get them on the bottom of the screen for me.
Copy and paste or something like that, because I can't find him up there.
Um, where we had now.
So I just answered Logan's question.
Logan, Post on the eight.
Ah, this new keel.
Harry, he better stop up.
I think he's saying step up.
Ah, what? I'm so I'm gonna have to move on.
So I'm really, really sorry.
I'll thank you, buddy, for coming in.
Um, what's Operate? Do you think we'll see Joe Juan Williams that corner this year? I don't know if we're going to see John Williams a corner at all.
Uh, I was talking about it in the off season.
I thought he could really fit like a strong safety role for the Patriots.
And with Chung getting more beat up in ageing and that kind of thing, I think that John Williams could really fit in beautifully.
It's a strong safety on the team, you know.
Gilmore still got some years left in him.
Jackson and Jonathan Jones was still pretty young.
It's our safeties that air starting to age and get a little beat up, and I'd really love to see him moving about full time.
You know, if if they move on from Chung or whatever.
I love to see John Williams move into that strong safety rope.
That's just my opinion.
I think he's got the sides of strength.
I think you can blitz.
He's got to speed to get in.
Um, I don't know if we're gonna C'mon, Tommy's been like what? He's been active three times Now.
He's inactive a lot, right? Um and of course I mean, the patriotssecondary is so loaded and stacked and basically overmanned that someone's always got to be the odd man out, and it's for the most part.
It's gonna beat your Juan Williams, but I'd really love to see him get an opportunity to play safety, especially the strong safety position.
I think that'd be a perfect role for him.
Um, he could probably fit is a high safety as well.
He's got the size to do that.
He's very smart.
And that's the one thing coming out of the draft that we heard a lot of boats.
Juan Williams is how smart he was, Um, and have that kind of, you know, smarts could really help plain as a safety.
Especially when you're playing those high low combinations and all that kind of stuff.
So, yeah, I don't think we're gonna see my corner this year.
I think if he's out there, we'll probably see my safety.
How do you feel about outhouses? Taps? I have to say I'm like, out house.
I thought you spelled the wrong.
How do I feel about Marshall Newhouse as the depth? I guess my issue is this.
Who else do we put in, right? I mean, outside of Isaiah, when obviously Isaiah Winds gonna come and be the starter.
Who do we have? His depth right There's no trades.
Nothing like that's gonna happen now, from what I hear, Could Juicy is not coming back this year.
Um, you know, I know they brought in some other guys.
I mean, there's a point, and there's a part of me that believes it.
Bill Ballot check makes a decision.
He makes a decision for a reason.
He makes a decision because he believes that guy gives the Patriots the best chance to win.
He's not necessarily a great player, but with everybody else on the roster, he gives the Patriots the best chance to win.
Look, I can't sit there and tell people they're not as smart as built ballot check and then sit here and argue about built ballot checks.
Decision to keep Marshall Newhouse.
But, you know, a lot of you know, my feelings about Newhouse.
It's the same as your guys.
I mean, he's got to be the worst offensive linemen of every scene of the New England Patriots.
At least he's playing the worst I've ever seen on the New England Patriots.
Being the depth sucks Rhino.
And I mean, I talked about this since the off season.
I talked about this but mini camp.
How concerned I was with the Patriots offensive line depths, I said.
As long as all five starters stayed healthy, I had no issues with the offensive line.
But one or two injuries I said could kill us and look what's happening.
We had one or two injuries, and it's killing us.
And, you know, Ted Caress hasn't played that bad. It center.
I don't I can't really come out and say why he's played awful.
I think it'd be unfair to talk about him.
You know, it be unfair to say that he had this awful game or, you know, whatever you want to say, but or this awful season, he's played okay.
But he's not David Andrews.
The communication is not the same as David Andrews.
You know, Isaiah, when Marshall Newhouse is not as good as is Isaiah Win and I'm concerned with Isaiah win like he's been hurt since he came to the Patriots.
Hopefully, it just a coincidence, and we're not going to see this anymore, and he's gonna be healthy the rest of the season, and then the Patriots gonna work on depths next year and look internally to what they have.
You know, some of the guys on the I r, of course of you know, we're gonna have David Andrews back next year.
Maybe next year.
Ted Caress is sort of the backup that can complete tackle.
I like cares because he can play tackle, guard and center.
And I think he's been a formidable center for the Patriots.
I'm not a big fan of Marshall Newhouse anywhere, so Yeah.
So thank you for that.
What does d Mac get re signed? I think he takes a discount.
He's already been paid.
That was a rhino question.
Um, what's his contract like? Is he a free agent after this year? Ahh.
Double McCord E contracts.
Sometimes I know sometimes I don't I don't know this one.
What's he making this year? That's what I go look for.
So, yes, So he'll be a U f A. Next year.
He's making 13.4.
He's got a $13 million cap.
It this year he's got a dead cop.
A three million nine million base salary, three million signing bonus.
15 million in total for his contract for five years.
I don't see why they don't re sign him.
Ah, Will you look for a home down hometown discount? Of course they will.
It's Bill Belichick.
He's always looking for a home down hometown discount.
I can't remember a time that bill about that check wasn't trying to sign his own players on the cheap.
Devin McCourty has probably been our third best secondary player this year.
Has been definitely been our best safety.
Um, so I don't see why he's already been re signed by the Patriots.
You can get re signed by the Patriots once you're your golden right? Ah, lot of times, these guys on their first contract years or they don't come back.
Um and, I mean, when they actually become unrestricted free agents and get re signed, you know Danny Amendola? Yeah, he you know, he re m you know, he redid his contract 50 times for the Patriots and took pay cuts and whatnot.
But I think when guys get re signed to the Patriots when they're actually you know, you have face and re sign, that's when we see it.
So, yeah, I mean, I don't see why you don't? And of course, I don't think he's gonna be coming in at a, you know, a $13 million contract this year.
That's our next year.
You know, I could see him.
Really? If he would be willing to take around eight million.
You know, that to me is sort of where I seem as the contract.
I don't know if he wants to play for anybody else but the Patriots, so Yeah, it is what it is.
Where we at now? Louis? We on Lee lost to them because of the mistakes and penalties.
Yeah, we've talked about that to death.
Ah, Lamar can't run forever.
I'm gonna try to get to some more questions.
I've seen your guy's comments, man.
Thank you, everybody who's complimenting me and like my video.
I really appreciate that.
Ah, where we adhere.
Any questions? Ah, keep to leave.
Gets released from Miami Week 15.
You think we pick him up? Um, and play that strong role play against tight ends? Chung has been hurt and missed a lot of practice.
Yeah, so to leave his allergy, what is to leave eligible to come back off the I I Oh, no.
So he'd have to be.
The Dolphins would have to activate him from the I r and then release them and then to leave.
What? I have to go through waivers.
I don't know if to leave would fall all the way to the Patriots.
I think that if there's somebody a contender out there who's, you know, has a salary cap who could use a defense of boost, Um, I could see them picking up to keep the lead.
But he's got a big contract, though, so I could be wrong.
I don't think that the Dolphins will release them.
I think the reason they brought him is because when he goes and signed somewhere else next year, I think they're gonna draft pick or something for him.
They basically just eight cap and did a favor, and they got 1/4 round draft pick out of it.
Um, so I don't see that happening.
I get I get where you're going with that, but I just don't see it happen.
Eyes Belichick son really calling the defense Tiffany, that's what Ah, I'm led to believe.
I'm sure that Bill Belichick has a lot to do with it Or, you know, I've heard someone saying just because he's the one calling it to the players doesn't mean he's the one picking the place.
It could be ballot check telling him what to tell the players.
I don't know what Belle objectors wouldn't do it himself, but I guess it's beneath him.
Um, but it looks like it's deep ball check was calling it.
Oh, yeah, Absolutely.
Ah, what position would you like us to use our first round draft pick on next year? I appreciate the question brand, but I have a policy that I don't talk about the off season during the season.
Um, I just think it's bad luck to start talking about draft picks and free agencies and all that kind of stuff.
But especially when it comes to draft picks, I'm gonna pass on that question.
Ask me in February.
Do you think that we will ever see a be back on the Pats? I heard a rumor that we might, um if you're talking about the rumor going around Twitter, it's fake.
Um, no, I don't think that we're going to see him back.
I think if we were going to see him back would see him back already.
I talked about it in my stream last night.
I believe Bill Belichick wanted to keep um, wanted to keep Bill ballot or wanted to keep Antonio Brown.
And it was Robert Kraft's decision to get rid of him.
Ah, we You know, Tom Brady has been, you know, really reaching out to him on on social media and all that kind of stuff.
But no, I don't believe we're going to see um, Antonio.
I don't think we're gonna see Antonio Brown.
It's a great thought, I think, if anything, he'll sign with somebody else and play somewhere else this year before he's a patriot.
But there's a whole lot of things about a B, Um, because the NFL is kind of holding him hostage because people don't know if his team don't know if he's gonna be suspended or not right.
They've really dragged their feet on.
They really dragged their feet on the investigation.
They dragged their feet and all that on that kind of stuff.
So I think there's teams that are weary about signing Antonio Brown because do they sign them, get him acclimatized and then lose him two weeks later because he doesn't need to go through the lawsuit or anything to be suspended.
The NFL is the judge, jury and executioner.
Whether we like it or not, we saw with the Tom Brady thing.
I mean, the courts came out and said that Tom Brady didn't deflate footballs and they were like, That's not what we're arguing.
Roger Goodell has all the power in the world, so we're going to suspend him and there's nothing we can do and they wouldn't suspend and they put him on the commissioner's exempt list.
That's how they get away with it.
We're gonna put you on the example is, while we're investigating, we're gonna take our sweet ass time investigating.
I think the NFL is doing this on purpose to make sure that nobody signs Antonio Brown putting him on the example ist or or suspending him.
It's open to appeal.
The union can try to say on what grounds by not doing anything is as good as suspending them because teams don't want to touch him.
So it's kind of ah, triple threat for, you know, for it, and it's unfortunate.
But I think that said, um, I I don't think that anybody wants to take the chance and sign Antonio Brown.
And as the time ticks down and ticks away, I want to thank everybody who came in to YouTube tonight to join the live shot.
