was going apart of people.
I wanted to do a live stream today about the Houston Rockets and go to state game.
Right now, it's at the end of the first.
Houston is up 30 to 29 of Voter State.
It's a pretty decent game right now.
Nothing is kind of getting out of hand.
It's kind of going back and forth.
In my opinion, I think they could be playing a lot better, Um, and shooting better from the field.
Ah, but overall, I mean, this is Ah, pretty decent game.
You know, this isn't the Warriors team that we're used to the rocket scene like them facing, um, and I think that's a huge thing.
Especially you think about how Katie is no longer there.
Steph Curry is her play.
Thompson is her as well as, um, you know, having Draymond green out right now for a few weeks.
Um, what I do think is interesting about this team, this Golden State Warriors team is that the Golden State Warriors have, ah real opportunity now to kind of just do what that whatever they want, whether it be winning, losing, or whatever.
And I think the reason being is because their entire team is hurt.
They've lost the best player that they had on the team, Um, or two of the three of the best players they had on the team.
And then you're fourth, um, energy guy.
You're you're rebounding guy.
Your defense of guy, your defensive mind, the heart of the team, the heart and soul of the team.
So, you know, you're talking about a, you know, a team that literally has, ah, whole bunch of, like, non starters or rookies or 25 under.
So overall, this game, you know, making made kind of get out of hand once he gets to go around third or fourth quarter.
Um, but the Golden State Warriors have still been hanging in there with a lot of teams that beat Portland other night, which I think is big on Ah, Eric Pass school.
He had a really, really good game, but also kind of speaks to Ah, Steve Kerr.
Steve Kerr is doing a hell of a job at coaching these guys and allowing these guys to play the way you know, a brand of basketball that allows them to be productive.
Um, so over although the you know, this Rockets team, I think we're all still trying to figure out Will it work or not? Um, and I think it will.
You know, I think right now there is a lot of things that could be different.
But right now, let's look at the stat line.
So the James Harden has four points right now, Um, he's shooting Oh, from three from, ah, three pointer and one from five from the field, Russia shooting one from six from the field.
He has two points, one steal, two assists in one rebound.
I'm Clint Capela.
He's been the one that's pretty, pretty consistent.
Five points, four rebounds currently, Um, and they just put Tyson Chandler in the game.
So I do think that Tyson Chandler's gonna be, ah, huge hope for them.
On the defensive side of all, I think he's a guy who can come in and play valuable minutes and allow the team to make certain runs.
They've been playing Sefolosha Ally Been Macklemore and Austin Rivers.
He's actually three from three from the three point line.
He has nine points.
He's leading, you know, the Rockets scorn and then on the other side of ball.
You know, like I say, you got a team full of guys who have potential and may be able to be really great in their own respective right later on.
But right now they are very young, but a pass card.
He's got six points right now, shooting from 22 for six from the field.
Glenn Robinson, the third, only has two points that he's shooting 50% in front of you, Um, and then the high guy on there, guys on their teams out.
He's shooting four from five from the field with nine points to rebounds, but zero says zero steals or anything like that.
So, like I said, this team is not a um it's not a beautiful Golden State Warriors team that can shoot the ball really well and can play really well.
It's not bettin that we, you know, are accustomed to seeing, but they still have some good pieces on this team that can allow them to Brent win some games.
I think that with everybody on their team being hurt, if you the way it is, I don't think that they will be able to ah Tau win a, um, enough games to make the playoffs.
I think the Western Conference is just too stacked is too loaded on dhe.
Teams are a lot of hungry of this year in order to make be playoffs just because I think there's a lot of heat on certain teams.
Um, for instance, the Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Kings.
I think those two teams are looking toe to make efforts of being one of those elite teams in the West, which, you know we're not accustomed to, because you know, these both of these teams for the last two years have not made the playoffs.
And now we're looking at them as possible contenders to make the N B A playoffs in the Western Conference.
Now, do I think they'll be contenders when it comes to N.
B A Finals? No, I think the you know, the top tier teams, the Los Angeles Lakers of the world, the Clippers of the world, the Nuggets, including the Rockets as well.
They're going to be playing and lied enough to be those top teams, though here I don't see them really taking that leap into being one of those top to your teams in the West.
You know, the Phoenix Suns? Right now they're five and two.
They're playing really good basketball, but I don't know how well that would, you know, fold later on in the season.
Um, so right now, they started back the second quarter or they started back in the game there in the second quarter.
Ah, nothing to report right now.
They're still Ah, you know, throwing up bad shots.
Contested shots on both sides of the ball.
Um, Russell Westbrook is in the game on.
He's taking another shot.
Oh, hey, banks it in.
So you know somebody like a Russell Westbrook who's playing right now? He has to be extremely aggressive when he's on the court, and I don't mean just the type that has to score all the points.
If he could take the ball and really make it in.
Okay, See, like team, when he's on the court without James harder, it will allow their second group in their you know, their first group to play even better.
I think that when him and James Harden on the court, they play really well together.
I'm surprisingly, I think that's a surprise to a lot of people.
Um, there's a lot of things that you could see right in this team that can really take them to the next level.
Um, I like the acquisition of Ben McLemore.
I think he was a really solid pick up.
I'm coming from the Sacramento Kings.
I just don't think the Sacramento Kings kind of fit what he was trying to do.
Um, but I think he's a pretty solid player.
Austin Rivers coming back.
I think that was a huge pickup.
Also, Rivers could probably be a starting point guard and a different or or shooting or in a different team.
But he decided to come back and play a six minute roll with this Ah, Houston Rockets team.
And I think that's gonna allow them to really, really take off when it starts to come down to the playoffs.
Um, and then you got a scrappy guy like a P J. Tucker. P.
Tucker of this team is kind of like a Draymond green of the Warriors.
He's that the heart and soul, the glue.
He kind of puts people together, and he also shows you on the defensive side of the ball how to be an elite defender.
He's always pretty much battling some of the best guys in the game.
And then also in the office, is out of all he's.
He's not bet crazy of a threat like from my, ah, you know, creating his own shot.
But coming off of those screens and getting open and hitting those threes is definitely what he's been doing, what he's been working on, and it's really been allowing him so really, really starts to perform a lot better.
Right now, I'm not mistaking.
He's already hitting two threes in this game, so you know he's got six points himself.
And when you think of a team like this, where AH, you have so many superstars and you have so many people who are available and able to score, you need some guys like P.
Tucker who won't be looking to get 67 or I mean 10 to 12 shots put up a game.
You know, I'm saying he's probably gonna be a 5 to 7 range.
He's going to go in and shoot when he's open.
When you know those kick out three's the corner threes because a lot of people will sleep on him.
They won't They'll they'll have to double up on Ah Russell Westbrook and as well as James Harder.
So he's gonna get a lot of those open shots.
He just missed one.
But it was one of those things where he was wide open.
And Russell Wilson a Russell Westbrook, gave him the ball at a good point right in his shooting motion and allowed him to kind of take a good shot.
Now I think was gonna end up happening.
What you start to see with this team is players and teams are gonna have to be able to guard both James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
And if Russell Westbrook can develop his three point game Ah, little bit better than what it is right now.
That would be a dangerous threat, because if you got James Harden going going to the basket, he's got Clint Capela rolling with him on the pick and roll.
You know, James Hart is a trip with that.
He can take you to the room.
He can lob it over to Clint Capela, or he could step back and hit you with a three.
But He also can take it all the way to the rim and dish it out to a wide open Russell Westbrook.
When you start to double this, that that kind of penetration.
So I think we're gonna see a lot of things that we kind of like and enjoy about this team because I really do think this team has the opportunity to play into to play elite and be a championship caliber team.
I don't think they'll be able to get over the hump with a lot of the teams that, you know, like the Clippers and the Lakers.
But they have a real opportunity to kind of be one of those top tier teams in the West.
And I think if the Rockets have home court advantage going into the playoffs, that might be the, you know, the key piece of them being that another elite team issue.
The records were great last year, but now you got a good rocket scene.
Same coaching, Um, with a Russell Westbrook.
You have to envy Pees on the same team right now and you know, the last time we saw two M. V.
P is on the same team, which which was the Warriors on Kevin Durant and Steph Curry.
They won a championship, and I'm not saying that they're anywhere close to Steph Curry in Katie.
But they have championship pedigree and they have the wheel to go out and win games, you know? And so I think when you think about this team holistically, you're gonna see a lot of things that you like and dislike.
I think one thing they have to work on his efficiency.
They're shooting up a lot of threes, but they're not making a lot of threes.
And I think that is gonna be the Achilles heel.
That was the Achilles heel of the year that they lost to the Warriors when I missed 27 3 straight.
Um, and I think that's something that you know James Harden and as well as Russell Westbrook.
It's gonna have to work on, and I think James Harden just like you just did here.
If he's aggressive and he's taking guys to the rack and he's getting those ****yze and he's getting those points that will open up his three point game and I think if he allows the third coin came to come to him instead of forcing it.
That's where he will really start to become one of those elite EVP like players this year.
Um, but yeah, I just want to kind of come in during the second or the first quarter second quarter kind of talk about this Rockets go to state game.
I definitely will come back later on either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Talk about football law charges and raiders play tomorrow. Saw.
Definitely back on for that tomorrow.
And I'll give you my predictions.
Fantasy updates, etcetera.
