everyone, Thanks for tuning in to my livestream.
So in this dream, I want to talk just a little bit about the Golden State Warriors and what they should be doing.
They lost to the Charlotte Hornets last night in Golden State in their brand new, beautiful arena.
I score of 93 to 87.
Stephan Curry is out for the next three months, so when he originally got injured, I thought it would be a 6 to 8 week injury.
That's typically what the time frame is for broken or fractured hands.
But he's out for a minimum of three months.
And that's pretty key is that it could be longer warriors last night when they lost the Charlotte Hornets.
They didn't have, obviously, didn't have.
Stefan Curry obviously didn't have Clay.
Thompson also didn't have Draymond Green, who is supposed to be out.
I think for at least a few games, we'll see that might turn out to be even longer just because it doesn't make sense for him to play when he's injured at all.
And they also were without beings the Russell, who I believe was dealing with a sprained ankle.
So the warriors started last night were Chi Bowman, Jordan Pool Glenn Robinson, the third heir, Pascoe and Willie Cauley Stein.
That sounds foreign.
After what the Warriors of been and how great their team has been over the course of the last five years, SportsCenter showed a graphic about how the last time the Warriors had played the Hornets before this game last night they're starting lineup was Steph Curry, Clay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and DeMarcus cousins.
Going from that to this? Now that is insane.
Just it's crazy how much the Warriors have fallen over the course of one off season to go from being two games.
But that Game six, they probably would have won if Clay Thompson addressed a healthy.
So to go from 1 to 2 games away from winning and then be a championship to all of a sudden looking like one of the worst teams in the league Warriors right now are tied for the second worst record in the league, the only so the Warriors air one and father tied at the Pelicans at 15 The only team in the N B A with the worst record is the New York Knicks or currently one in six.
So just because they played one more game, the Warriors next games against the Portland Trail Blazers.
That's tomorrow night, so I'd expect them to lose that enough.
The Knicks play tomorrow night, but probably going to be tied with the Knicks for worst record in the n B A.
If the Knicks don't play Warriors air just in completely unfamiliar territory, they have not been.
This died in a very, very long time, and they are really bad right now.
You're dealing with injuries, obviously, Clay Thompson there.
If the Warriors had a chance to make the playoffs this year and really contend, maybe for a championship, then it would have made sense to bring Clay Thompson back.
Because tours a C L in June.
He probably would have been ready about around March, maybe late March early April if they really wanted to bring him back.
But with them getting off this horrible starting just looking as terrible as they do with Stefan Curry out for at least three months, it makes no sense to bring him back.
Steve Hurst said at the beginning of the season that it was very unlikely that Clay Thompson comes back this year.
I don't think there is any chance at all. It's a lock.
He is out for the year.
His three months hand injury might turn out to be an even longer injuring.
Honest fairly, because he needs more time.
But just because why should he come back to this? And honestly, it's a little disappointing that Stephan Curry is going be injured and is going be out for this long because there were so many, Well, one, obviously, just because you never want anyone to be injured and you obviously as a basketball fan, Steph Curry is very fun to watch, so I would have liked to have Adam on the court.
But also there were so many people who were trying to compare Stephan Curry, the Kobe Bryant, and saying how Stefan Curry was better than him, making that are human.
There are a few people that even said Steph Curry was better than LeBron James.
LeBron James was dealing with the team.
Maybe not quite this bad, but he was dealing with a pretty bad team, as we've seen, probably pretty close to this Warriors team right now, It's just the Cavs team had LeBron James on it, especially that last year in 2018.
And LeBron James is so good that he was able to take at Cavaliers team.
That would not have come close, even sniffing the playoffs all the way to the N B A Finals.
Whereas Steph Curry you put him on this team, even if you give him D'Angelo Russell on Draymond Green, which is much more talent on LeBron had but the Cavaliers his last season there.
They don't make the playoffs.
They're not good enough.
Stefan Curti doesn't do enough to hide all of the weaknesses on his team because Steph Curry has his own weaknesses.
He conscripts were in different ways, but he is not the same type of same type of while.
I'm blanking out on the word I'm looking for, but he cannot score in a multitude of different ways the way that LeBron can the way that Kobe Bryant could when he was playing basketball.
Stephan Curry, you want to talk about Steph Curry as good as Kobe Bryant or LeBron James? He can't be on the team this bad because he should be making the team much better, and the Steph Curry was on this team.
They would still be really bad, even if he had two other borderline all stars on this team.
So it's not a good situation for the Warriors to be in or Steph Curry.
What they should do the rest of the season is Look, Steph Curry's out for three months.
If he needs four months, if he needs five months, if he needs to be out the rest of the season for any reason, go ahead and have him sit out.
And I'm not saying that as some I'm not happy to be saying that, because again, I would like to see him play.
But the more from the Warriors side of things with them having traded away two first round picks, one to get the ends, the Russell one to get rid of Andre Go dollars contract.
They have their first round pick this year as long as it's in the top 20 which it obviously will be.
So why not just embrace the tank? Be as bad as you can try to get a really good pick, because next year, if you come back with Koerting, Clay Thompson, Draymond Green and D'Angelo Russell.
If neither one of them have been traded on the top draft pick.
That's a team that can do something.
As long as everyone stays relatively healthy, that's a team that can play really well together.
You also have some versatility there with Clay Thompson and Draymond Green.
And, yeah, that's a team that could really be good.
But for this year, Steph Curry.
Keep him out as long as he needs to stay out.
He's nursing that finger injury.
As long as he needs to keep him out as long as he needs, you have to balance it a little bit with.
If you're looking to possibly trade him, obviously, you want them to remain healthy and put up some good numbers.
He can get the best deal possible back for him.
Same thing with D'Angelo.
You would like him to be out there putting up numbers if you're looking to trade him, but if you feel like you can really win with him and you want to keep him on your team, Dean's arm wrestle deals with injuries all the time.
He's not as injury prone as Steph Curry, but he has some injuries that he deals with pretty much every season.
So if you need to go ahead and keep him out when I read ceiling with anything this season, I would really hope that Steve Kurt doesn't get put on the hot seat after everything he's done just from one bad season, because it's gonna be really bad.
But honestly, as a Lakers fan, the Warriors on the fire steeper.
Go ahead and do it.
Then hopefully when the Lakers inevitably fire Frank Vogel when the Lakers have a little bit of a rough patch.
And instead of hiring Jason Kidd as bad coach, maybe they can hire Steve her.
That's a pie in the sky type scenario.
It's a dream scenario, which has just about no chance of coming through the route of coming true, but it would be pretty nice Nonetheless.
Steve Kerr is an excellent coach.
It's just you cannot put anyone on this.
You cannot put anyone on the coaching staff of this team and expect them to compete for a playoff spot.
It's a really tough spot.
That's the curse put in, and he, after the Warriors lost the Hornets look.
Even if management is okay with the Warriors.
Losing Steve Her is not.
It's not in his DNA.
He After the Hornets game, he put all the blame on himself.
He said that his players played really hard.
They should have won the game.
And if it wasn't said something along the lines of it wasn't for.
They're dumb, idiotic head coach they would have and to put all the blame on him and that no one should be looking at his players for why they lost because they did everything they could to win, and that's that's good to know.
That's good to see the head coach of the team taking all the responsibility on himself.
His players obviously are going through a rough patch.
It's pretty tough to compete night in and night out when you are as bad as the Warriors are.
But Steve Kerr is excellent and being able to manage his team, have them come together and just play as hard as they possibly can and I really think that's what we're going to see from the Warriors moving forward this year is just they're going to compete.
I don't think they're ever going to give up early on the game.
He is really good at making sure they play hard, but the talent just isn't there.
So for the rest of this year, Warriors are best suited just any time.
Someone, especially one of their top players, is dealing with any type of an injury.
Keep them out. There's nothing to play for.
Kind of embraced the tank.
We know Seeker won't embrace it, but if he just doesn't have the players to coach to where he can win games, there's nothing really that he can do.
So that's probably the most ideal scenario.
Realistic scenario for the Warriors is just be a bad team.
Get a top graphic, and the next year the Warriors could be right back to being championship contenders.
If they get a topic, you have Grey among Greenback Clay Thompson, which I don't think people realize how much Clay Thompson is missed on this team because he's another really good defensive player.
He's always a candidate for one of the all defensive teams in the n B A.
So if he can come back next year, I know it'll only be a little over a year.
Since he tore his a C l.
And usually it takes two years to get back to full strength.
But he can still be a difference maker on both sides of the court, and the Warriors will be right back to being one of the best teams in the n B A.
But for this year, it's just not gonna happen.
Warriors embrace the tank.
Go for a really good draft pick.
You're gonna need it because you're too money draft picks moving forward.
That does it for this video.
