Hey, guys, I'm back.
I'm gonna give this a minute or so so that a few people can start coming into the stream before I start.
But I wanted to make sure everyone knows that.
Just go ahead and interact with me.
Ask any questions you want.
I'd be happy to answer them.
If I'm giving out my predictions And you guys don't agree with something, Please let me know.
I'd like to have a discussion with you guys.
Or if there's any questions you guys have about something I'm talking about.
Go ahead and ask.
I'm happy. The answer, that stuff.
So all right, let's get right into it.
So I'm gonna be going over my Eastern Conference standings.
My predictions for the Eastern Conference in this video.
I'm gonna start off just like I did in my Western Conference video, which I just finished, by the way.
So if you didn't get a chance to watch that, go ahead and check it out after this video.
And so I'm gonna be going through 15 through one.
So an inverse order on that started the bottom and kind of build up the suspense to the top.
So starting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
I have the Charlotte Hornets Eastern Conference is obviously a lot weaker than the Western Conference.
ID the Phoenix Suns at the bottom of the Western Conference at 20 and 62.
I have the Charlotte Hornets at 15 and 67.
Vegas has their over under at 23 a half.
With that, the Hornets are not a good team at all.
Terry Rozier is arguably there best player, and he is severely overpaid at just about 20 million, just under 20 million per year.
And when your best player is severely overpaid a 20 million per year that says a lot about how much talent you lack as a team outside of Terry Rozier.
I mean, Cody Zeller has been okay so far to start the year he impressed me against the Lakers when I saw them play.
They don't have too much talent.
PJ WASHINGTON I have high hopes for him developing into a really good role player further down the line, but this is his first year out of college, so don't expect a ton of stuff out of him.
Hornets just don't have much talent at all, and it's pretty depressing if you're a Hornets fan.
Michael Jordan, the Hornets owner, you would think, would want to be more competitive, But also he is.
He probably has the least money out of all owners in the n b A.
So it's kind of tough for him to build a competitive team.
When he does not be financial resource is available to him that other owners do.
So Hornets, at 15 and 67 15th place in the East, which is also last place number 14.
I have the Cleveland Cavaliers over under in Vegas is 24 a half.
I have them going 18 and 64 So take the under on that one, too.
Part of this is so Kevin.
Love is healthy right now, but you just have to assume kind of like Steph Curry with Warriors.
I had said before he got injured.
You other assume he's gonna miss some games.
Kevin love same thing.
He's pretty injury prone.
It seems like every year he has some type of not horrific injury, but an injury that keeps him out, usually 4 to 6 or eight weeks.
So I'm thinking he's probably going to end up missing quite a few games this year.
I really like him, Colin.
*** moves someone who kind of underperformed.
Last year, he's going into a second year.
I had high hopes for him coming out of Alabama, though, so maybe he can flourish in this new Cavaliers offense with Jobe Line or John Beilein.
But Darius Garland should be the clear cut number one option on this Cavaliers team.
When Kevin Love is injured, Darius Garland is a better basketball player than calling *** in my house.
I don't I really love the fit of Colin *** and and Darius Garland together because oh, Garland can shoot the basketball Colin *** and can't really.
I also want the ball in various garlands hands a lot more than I do it.
Call it ***son's hands.
So makes it pretty much pretty tough for calling ***ton to flourish alongside of while in Bologna alongside of Darius Garland, when Garland should have the ball in his hands a lot more than Colin ***ton.
Other than that, I mean, the Cavs have Chedi Osmond and Kristin Thompson, who is a really nice rebounder and can be a good defender but he just doesn't bring enough to an N b A team.
They have Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr as well, who always gonna be big fans of them because they are former Lakers, but they're both overpaid.
Jordan Clarkson's well overpaid for a player who can create for himself can't really create too much for others, though, and then has no interest at all in playing defense.
Larry Nance Jr is perfect glue guy, someone who comes in off the bench and someone who you just you know exactly what you're going to get from him, but he's paid.
Think it's around 11 or $12 million per year, which is too much to give.
Larry Nance, Junior Seau calves.
It's not gonna be a fun year for them.
They need to start planning on How are they gonna take in the draft, which sucks.
But that's how it is.
Number 13 team in the East.
I have the Washington Riz Wizards.
They're over under and they use is 26 a half.
I have them going 20 and 62 by the way, I mentioned this in my Western Conference standings predictions.
But I haven't yet in this one.
So for these records that I'm saying for what I have been going, there was a website.
I think it's called N B.
A playoff ridiculous playoff predictor dot com, or you can literally go in and choose the winner of each game throughout the N B a season.
So, yes, I am that psychotic.
I went in and picked each game, thought about the game, thought about who the teams had played the night before for the past week, where they on a road trip.
So I thought of all the variables, and these were the records that I came out with after I went through the entire N B a season for each team.
So, yeah, I have the Washington Wizards going 20 and 62.
They're over under is 26 a half.
The Wizards could easily be the worst team in the NBA, these three teams, so the Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards they are in their own tear as the worst teams in the N B A.
I even have the Phoenix Suns in a different era ahead of them, but the Wizards, the only reason why have them as the third worst team in the East.
And not the worst team is because out of the Wizard's calves and Hornets, the Wizards are the only team with a bona fide star, bona fide All Star and Bradley Beal someone who can get you a lot of point.
Someone who can win some games for you.
That's a luxury that the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Charlotte Hornets just simply don't have.
So for that reason, I have the Wizards coming in ahead of the Calves and the Hornets.
But outside of Bradley Beal, the Wizards really don't have much.
I John Wall could maybe return this year, although, and it just wouldn't be worth it.
The Wizards have to give him a ridiculous amount of money over the next four years, so might as well try to make sure he's healthy as he can be when he comes back.
So hopefully he doesn't re enter himself.
But I've talked to a ton of times before about how ruptured Achilles are the worst injury tap in sports and I'm sorry to say, because I really liked John Wall, especially when he first came into the league, but most likely he's gonna end up reinjuring himself.
I really hope I'm wrong with that.
But just odds are that he will end up reinjuring himself, so might as well just have him come back as fresh as possible next year.
Don't play him this year.
So for right now, the Wizard starting point guard is if Smith they have Isiah Thomas coming off the bench.
Isiah Thomas, another point guard that's been dealing with injuries.
I hope that he's able to have a nice year.
That would be a pretty good feel.
He kind of did completely got screwed by the Boston Celtics.
So for him to be able to come back and re make a name for himself, that would be a really nice thing to see next up or stay on the Wizards for another second.
Isaac Bonga, the small forward for them right now, starting for them.
I said this last night, and since second year in the league, he has no business being on an MBA.
Ross, where he is terrible as faras n b A standards go.
Have you ever end up listening to this? I'm sorry.
You are a much better basketball player than I ever have been or ever could hope to be.
No matter how good shape I was in.
I'm certainly not in my physical peak physical prime right now, But Isaac Banga is a six foot 10 player that was drafted as a point guard by the Lakers in the second round last year.
For two years ago, I guess, and he is the most unathletic wing or point guard, whatever you wanna call it that I have ever seen.
I know he's young, so maybe he's still developing his athleticism, But he is slow.
He doesn't really have good cord vision defensively.
He was matched up against James Harden yesterday.
There was no chance that he was gonna be able to slow down James Hart so hard on 2050 nine's really impressive but again Rockets toward 159.
And Harden was guarded by by Isaac Manga, who is probably the worst matchup defensively going up against James Harden that there is in the N B.
So, yeah, I have the Wizards coming in.
The 13 seed number 12 seed in New York Knicks have them going 26 56 over under in Vegas is 27 a half.
If they could have just allocated, their resource is a little bit better and not trying to buy every power forward possible on the free agent market.
Then they could have had a chance to make the playoffs.
But they instead decided, You know what, really, Off the Julius Randle.
We're going to go after Bobby Portis.
They just I think they got Tom gives in to write.
And then they signed Reggie Bullock to a two year, $21 million contract, which was crazy for someone all.
He doesn't shoot threes, and last year he didn't even shoot threes that well.
Once he was traded to the Lakers, he tries to play defense, and he can play okay, defense on occasion.
But the Reggie Bullock contract was so bad, and Bullock had gotten so out of shape that the Nick's had to rework his contract because he was in just such bad shape.
They didn't even feel comfortable giving him 10 and 1/2 1,000,000 a year.
And if they didn't feel comfortable giving 10 and 1/2 1,000,000 per year, you know that was a bad decision, so yeah, I have the Knicks coming in at number 12 R. J. Barrett.
I think it's gonna have a pretty nice year.
I expect Julius Randle have a really good year, too.
But with all the power forwards of the Knicks signed, it's just you can't play Julius Randle as many minutes as you should.
Otherwise, you're not justifying paying the rest of the power forwards as much as you did.
I don't know what went into that decision making at all.
The Knicks definitely set themselves up to try to go after ya.
Honest and two years in free agency, All of these power forwards.
They signed all of their contracts for two year deals, much like the Lakers, who are going to be trying to make a run at the honest and two years as well.
But, yeah, I have the Knicks a 26 and 56.
I think Mitchell Robinson and someone who I'm really high on him.
I think he could be a really good player in this league in a few years.
He's just so raw athletically doesn't really have much skill to his game.
But as he learns the N b A and as he just learned how to play basketball more efficiently.
He's gonna become a really good player.
So the Knicks have some nice building blocks and R.
Barrett, Mitchell, Robinson, Julius Randle, too, and Dennis Smith Jr.
People forget about him.
But you, someone who still could make a name for himself.
He played pretty well when he came to the Knicks last year, and so we'll have to see what happens.
But for this year, I'm not expecting the next to make a playoff push.
Sorry, New York.
But most New York Knicks stands weren't expecting that, either.
Next up by the Chicago Bulls, this one might be a little surprising to some people.
I know there are quite a few people that think the Bulls will end up making the playoffs.
I obviously am not one of them.
The Bulls over Under is 32 a half.
I have them coming in at 27 55.
Zach Levin's the best player on that Bulls team, and he just doesn't.
He doesn't affect the game and enough different ways.
He can certainly score the basketball, but he's an inefficient scorer.
He tastes tough shots.
There was a report a week or two weeks ago that the Bulls were trying to tell Zach Levine, You need to shoot threes or else try to get the rim.
None of these mid range jumpers, or at least a lot less of them.
And I think Kevin Durant actually defended exactly being saying, You go ahead and do whatever you need to.
Those mid range jumpers look nice to me.
Something like that.
I'm paraphrasing, but I don't think that Zach Levine is the player to guide the bowls back to the playoffs.
At least not this here, until the town around develops a little bit more.
I like what the Bulls are building, though, outside of exactly, and I think he's a little overpaid or he is a little overpaid, but it's just he can't be your first option.
So I think the hope for the Bulls is that, hopefully, Laurie Markin in or Wendall Carter Jr or Kobe White can end up developing into the number one option.
Kobe White's a rookie, so that's not gonna be happening this year.
But he's a nice point guard.
Tohave auto Porter Jr is a nice three.
Have a CZ well and they're starting lineups pretty nice with Kobe White, Zach Levine, Auto Porter, Laurie Markman and Wendall Carter Jr.
But they don't have enough depth in the on the bench and also their starting unit. It's units.
It's nice, but it's not good enough to where you look at that.
And you think, Oh, yeah, that's definitely a playoff team.
So I have the Bullets missing out on the playoffs, and I'd be a little surprised if they end up making the playoffs.
I have the Detroit Pistons.
They're going to be 33 49 so the over under in Vegas is 37 a half.
So I have them going with.
I have going with under with them as well.
The Detroit Pistons.
Part of this is just Blake Griffin.
He's already supposed to miss, at least until after the first week of November.
There's a chance he could be out longer.
There some conflicting reports that his injury might be worse than we initially thought.
In addition to that, once Blake Griffin comes back, you have to assume, just like with Steph Curry, just like with who with Kevin Love, who was another player that's pretty injury prone.
You just have to assume he's gonna miss quite a few games because of injury.
And because of that, I have something that Pistons have enough talent around him.
I'm not a big Luke Kennard family.
I know there are some people that are a lot higher on him than me.
I just don't think he does too much and I don't think he's going to affect the game and enough ways to be a difference maker for the Pistons.
They got there grows and he has certainly looked really good to start the year.
But again, that's another player who's pretty injury prone, and I don't want to rest My prediction on Derrick Rose staying healthy because I just don't think that's a smart decision to make.
Reggie Jackson is another player who, when healthy, is a pretty good player, but he's another guy who's pretty injury prone, so they're just way too many question marks on this Pistons team for me to confidently say yes, they're going to end up making the playoffs and for that reason just taking kind of the law of averages of all of the injuries that you would expect them than having two key players.
I am saying they're going to be on the outside of the playoff race looking in 33 49 again with the over under in Vegas at 37 a half.
Next up is the team that I think you should absolutely take the under on Indiana Pacers coming in at the nine seed.
So probably a shock to quite a few people.
Most people have the Pacers making the playoffs this year, but when you really think about it, they kept.
They technically lost three starters from their team from last year.
In actuality, it's more like three and 1/2 because I know Victor Oladipo started for about half the year last year if that he might have been injured before the halfway mark before he injured his knee.
And this year he's obviously not starting with the team right now, is he still tries to recover.
There's conflicting reports on him on when he's gonna be back, and the Pacers don't exactly know when he will be back on the team playing for them.
So that's one starter that's down Darren Collison, their starting point guard from last year retired, which was really surprising.
Darren Collison was gonna be a free agent.
He could have gotten probably at least 10 11 $12 million per year from teams on the open market, and instead he decided to retire and focus more on his his religion, which that's fine.
I'm not gonna question it all the power to him, but just a really surprising move.
So they lost Darren Collison, Victor Oladipo.
They lost fattest Young, who left the Pacers in free agency.
And they also lost Boy on Bogdanovich as well, who went to the Utah Jazz and pre agency.
So technically, three of they're five starters, but in actuality, four of their five miles Turner is their only true starter from last year.
That's returning this year.
I know they got Malcolm Brogdon, and that was a nice get for them.
But Malcolm Brogden does not deliver enough to take away from all the losses they have from losing all the starters and Bakero Depot.
It Victrola Depot was healthy to start this year.
Then I think the Pacers probably still end up squeaking into the playoffs, but they're just not a good enough team without Victor Oladipo and who knows when all the depots willing to come back.
They struggled last year without all the Depot trust.
They got off to such a good start that they were able to maintain enough momentum to stay in the playoff race and end up finishing is I think they finishes the five seed last year.
I just don't see it happening this year, So I'm taking the Pacers under the over under 46 a half at 38 44.
Stuff lover, 29 83.
Thank you for the tip.
I appreciate it.
Appreciate the support.
I am sorry for what's going on with Steph Curry.
It's gotta suck for you.
It sucks for the whole N b A.
That it's not able to play.
I don't think many people were expecting the Warriors to make the playoffs where if they were, they certainly weren't after watching the first few games.
But at least if Curry was healthy, we could still enjoy watching the Warriors play because it was gonna be a track meet.
They were going to give up a lot of points.
They're going to score a lot of points now It's just like you could still watch the end of the Russell on dream on green, but not nearly as fun.
So sorry about that.
Sorry if I'm touching on the little bit of, ah, sore spot with Steph Curry just gonna injured so I'll move away from that coming in at number eight.
So first or lasting my yes, technically, to make the playoffs.
I have the Orlando Magic 39 43 over under in Vegas is 41 a half.
So I have the under, but I still think that it should be a good season for them.
They should be proud of making the playoffs, even if it is 39 43.
Marquel folds I.
I had him as one of my top five players for most improved player of the year this year.
He looks pretty good so far, and as long as he can stay healthy, which with Mark L folds, you never know and I really think a lot of it was mental, So I hope that he's just gotten over that mental barrier of being able to trust his body in ways that he just wasn't able to over the course of his 1st 2 years in the n B A.
A change of scenery should definitely help him.
He was traded from the Sixers the Magic at the trade deadline last year and just wasn't really healthy.
I don't know if he even played in the Games for the Magic once he was created, but he's looked good so far.
I'm expecting him to be a big contributor for the Magic, starting off of the bench and then maybe working his way up to being a starter for the team as well.
Aaron Gordon is someone who I like his game.
I think he's someone who you can't rely on to be your number one option.
But they have a nice nucleus with Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, who should continue to make some really good strides.
Nikola Bozovic to who is the team's unquestioned leader.
Their best player.
He He had a pretty good year last year.
I expect him to have a really good year.
This year is well, he's a really skilled big man and he can shoot it from the outside.
He can score from the low post defensively he leaves quite a bit to be desired.
But overall, the Magic have enough to make the playoffs, and I think they will again, 39 43 for them over under his 41 a half in Vegas.
So take the under.
Next up, I have a team whose over under his 33 a half, So obviously I'm taking over with this one.
That's the Atlanta Hawks.
I have them going 44 38.
I'm really, really high on him.
He had that ankle injury against the Heat a few days ago.
Luckily, all the tests came back that it's not that bad of a sprain.
Hawks are actually saying that he might be back within a week, which is really good for an ankle injury.
When it first happened and he sprained his ankle, it did not look good at all.
So good to see that he were good to hear that he should be back pretty soon.
Aside from Trey Young, they also have Kevin Herder, who is a really good three point shooter, and someone who the Hawks are kind of building like a splash.
Brothers light over in Atlanta with Trey Young and Kevin Herder, but should work, and Trey Young is the undisputed leader of this Hawks team.
They also have DeAndre Hunter out of Virginia, who they traded up to get the number four overall pick.
I'm not that high on the Andre Hunter.
I don't really think he has too much potential.
He's an older player.
I think he's B 21 or 22 years old.
He's not that, but he's a bigger body.
He can definitely guard a lot of different positions on defense, and that was his calling card of defense on in college was his defense, But now that he's in the n b A, a lot of other players are his size.
Two were close to his side, so he won't have quite the same strength as Faras his physical attributes.
But I do think he'll still be able to contribute offensively, though he doesn't have much of an offensive game.
Yes, he can space the floor.
He's not an elite shooter and he really can't do too much outs.
He's not much of a playmaker for others.
He can't really create his own shot, so he's gonna be really reliant on Trey Young to be able to create for himself.
Obviously, the Hawks have John Collins, who should be making a monster leap this year.
I didn't have him in my predictions for my Eastern Conference All Star team, but I could definitely see him making a case to be on All Star team, especially with the Hawks making the playoffs as the seven seed.
Maybe he doesn't have deserving.
It wouldn't be a shock to me.
So overall, yeah, I like what the Hawks are doing.
I have them at 44 38 going to be the number seven seed in the East.
Next up, I have the Boston Celtics.
They're over under is 48 a half, just get a little bit of water.
So I have the Celtics at 45 37 so I'm taking the under again.
The over under in Vegas is 48 a half, so taste under with Celtics.
I'm not crazy about Kemba Walker on the Celtics.
I do think that in terms of locker room dynamics, he fits a lot better with the Celtics than Kyrie Irving did.
But then again, who doesn't fit better locker room wise than Kyrie Irving with just about anything.
Tyree Irving is a nightmare to deal with, but in terms of on court talent, Kemba Walker is very talented.
But he's also He's six feet on a good day.
I really think he's more like five foot 10 and he's athletic enough for a smaller guy.
But I just think way too often he's going to have trouble scoring on a Celtics team that has other options.
But he is clearly the number one option, and the Celtics are expecting him to come in and kind of do what Tyree did.
Camel Walker is Kyrie Irving Light, and he's not going to be a sufficient, as Kyrie Irving was.
Yes, his teammates were gonna like him.
Or but it's gonna be a little bit of a struggle from time to time.
Jalen Brown just got a massive contract extension.
I forgot the exact amount, but over $100 million I think it was around 110 or 113 million.
I don't think he was worth that much, but Celtics take him that and I'm not gonna argue with them.
I'm glad the Celtics paid him that much.
I wish they would have paid him.
Or so I think Jalen Brown is a nice piece, tohave, but he's not that anyone who's going to lead you to a championship.
He could be a nice, maybe third option.
More like 1/4 option on the championship level team, which on this team with Celtics, he is a second or third option.
It's between him and Jason Tatum.
Jason Tatum, someone who kind of struggled was second year in the league.
This year, I think he's gonna bounce back a little bit.
Have, uh, better a year in a year that we were kind of expecting to have last year.
Gordon Hayward this this year.
So it's been two years since he had that horrific ankle injury.
This year is where we see how good Gordon Hayward can be moving forward, because when you have a devastating injury like that, yes, he came back after think less than a year, or write out a year, Yeah, right out of the year.
But it takes two years to fully recover and get back to whatever you're going to end up being.
So Gordon Hayward, this year is 100% of what he will be moving forward.
I'm expecting Gordon Hayward to be a decent player, but he's not worth a Max contract.
Nothing close to that.
They have n Iskander filling out the five spot for the Celtics.
Another Celtics just had a really impressive win against the Bucks, and it was a really nice win for them.
They outscored the box 38 to 18 in the third quarter.
They they outscored the Bucks.
I forgot how much they out toward the buck's buying the fourth, but they outscored them in each of the last 2/4 after the Bucks were beating them by double digits at halftime.
It was a nice win for them to show what they can do.
But I just don't see the Celtics overall being a team, that's gonna be too much of a threat in the East.
Yes, we're gonna make the playoffs, but aside from that, I don't see them doing too much at all.
Number five team I have the Miami Heat, so over under.
For them, according to Vegas, is 43 a half.
I have the heat coming in at 47 35.
I love the addition of Jenny Butler on the Miami Heat.
I think him and Tyler hero are going to fit in really well together.
The Heat have made it known this is Jimmy Butler's team, and Jimmy Butler is all for that.
But Jimmy Butler also knows he he's never been someone who's had an extremely high usage re.
He's always been an Alfa on whatever he has been on.
He's wanted to be the dominant personality, but he's always allowed his teammates to flourish.
He's never been one to just take the ball and want to have all the credit.
He just wants to win.
And he's such a hard worker.
And he's surrounded by a lot of other players in Miami that really just want to win and at least from everything that I can tell are really hard workers to in Tyler hero Justise Winslow Bam at a bio.
Those are the three players that really stick out to me, Goran Dragic's as well, although maybe he gets traded to the Oklahoma City thunder in a Chris Paul trade Kendrick Nunn off the bench, who has been a really good surprise for the heat as I think he was an undrafted rookie and he has been lights out to start this year.
So they have certainly struck some gold with him.
And the Heat are looking like a team that can be a real force in the West.
And, yeah, I do think they end up as the number five seed in the West, Number four seed in the West.
I have the same record for them as I do for the Heat.
That's the Toronto Raptors coming in at 47 35 over under in Vegas is 46 a half.
So I'm going with the over, obviously not extremely confident with that, given that I have them only winning 47 over under his 46 a half.
But if you have to bet take the Raptor with the over, I think they could even win more than 47 games.
They are still a top for team in the East Haskell, See Jacome has is going to take and has already taken a really big league this year.
He is pretty much a lock for most improved player of the year unless some player that I'm not even thinking of right now.
Display is completely out of his mind, but Pascal Siachen is the leader of that teen.
Kyle Lowry is gonna be doing more for the Raptors this year, but he can handle that.
He's an all star level player, and he's someone who can help guide the Raptors to a really good season.
So even though the rafters lost Kawai, Leonard and Danny Green, it doesn't mean that they're out of it.
Doesn't mean that they should just have a fire sale.
You saw the extended Kyle Lowry.
They fully believe that this team can contend.
I'm not going to say they can contend, but they're still gonna be one of the top four teams in the Eastern Conference.
They have really good players to really good veterans and Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka.
I didn't want to leave them out.
Well, we saw it in the playoffs last year, I'm expecting, and never pretty big year this year, for the rappers is two to as one of their best contributors, and yet they have a solid team, and I think Messiah Jerry has done a really good job of keeping that team together and keeping them with their eyes on the prize of, at the very least, making the playoffs and then just take it one step at a time.
Even with the loss of their N B A Finals, M V P and Kawai Leonard and an underrated loss in Danny Green as well, moving to the number three team in the East again, this was made before the regular season started.
If I was redoing it right now, I probably wouldn't have the Brooklyn Nets as the number three team in the East.
They have not look too good this year.
They just lost the Pacers by 10 at home.
They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves, started the year they've been struggling.
Kyrie Irving has been bawling out, But other than that, the Nets have not looked as good as I thought they would.
On paper, they look like they should be a pretty good team, even without Kevin Durant.
I'm expecting Durant to play at all this year, but you look at that starting lineup of Kyrie Irving Caress labored Joe Harris, blanking out on their power for a Tory on Victorian prince, and then whether they start.
DeAndre Jordan or Jared Island for the majority of the season will see, and I just i The team should be so much better than it is.
They have Spencer Dinwiddie coming off the bench who should be one of the leading candidates for six man of the year this year, censored in what he has improved leaps and bounds since he came to the Brooklyn Nets.
Same thing with care. Sliver.
That's a credit to Kenny Atkinson, their head coach.
He is the best head coach player development coach in the n b A, and he does some really good stuff with his players.
So that is also why, over the course of this year, I think the Nets were going to get a lot better.
Biggest concern is just Kyrie Irving and his inability to just be a normal human being.
He just he gets into these mood swings.
There's already been reports that he had a mood swing when the Nets were in China.
That could derail the locker room pretty quickly, and Kevin Durant is someone to who is just kind of, ah odd odd person, and, uh, he gets into these mood swings, too.
so they're perfect for each other.
They can be miserable together, but hopefully for the Nets and their fans, Kyrie Irving can stay grounded and level headed enough to not sink their season and end up as the number three team in the East.
Number two team in the east of the Milwaukee Bucks.
16 and 22 over under, according to Vegas, for them is 57 a half.
So take the over with that.
The box got worse.
They lost Malcolm Brogdon.
They were able to re sign Chris Middleton.
Re signed Brook Lopez got Robin Lopez as well, but losing Malcolm Brogdon definitely hurts for them.
Johannes is going to have to do more throughout the course of the season.
We've already seen him have a triple double against the Houston Rockets.
He's gonna be playing more minutes.
Last year, he played, I think, 33 34 minutes for game.
He also got injured towards the end of the year, where he didn't have to come back, and he was able to take a few extra games off where it was probably healthy enough to play, but just decided where the Bucks kind of decided for him. No.
You know what? You're gonna take a few more games off telling me in case is here, he's gonna be playing upwards of 36 37 minutes per night.
He's gonna be asked to do a lot more of the offensive side of things because of that.
I think his defense is going to not be as impactful is and has been in the past.
He's still gonna be a plus defender, and he's going to be one of the better defenders in the league.
But just because of the workload he's gonna have on offense, I don't think that he is going to attribute as much to the Bucks defense and their success on defense as he has in the past and as we're accustomed to.
But still, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia Sixers are clearly the two best teams in the Eastern Conference.
So I have the box going 60 and 22.
As you can see, it's quite a difference between the box record and three through.
The rest of the Eastern Conference nets are the three seed at 51 bucks have 60 so take the over for the Bucks at 57 a half because they're going to win 60 games this year.
Number one team in the Eastern Conference.
I have same record as the Bucks with the Philadelphia 76 or 60 and 22.
The over under for them is 54 a half.
So take the over for them as well.
Sixers have a better starting lineup in the Milwaukee Bucks, but they don't have the as good of a player as the Bucks doing the honest but six years starting lineup of Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Al Horford and Joel Embiid, one of the better starting units in the N B A.
I thought they're starting unit last year, was more talented and fit better with Jimmy Butler.
And with all their starting lineup was Ben Simmons, J.
Red****, Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid.
I thought the fit with all of them was much better.
Instead of having our Horford at the four who was really a five you, Tobias Harris at the four instead of having Tobias Harris at the three good Jimmy Butler at the three, who is a true three's a shooting guard or a small forward wherever you wanna put him, he's a wing.
Tobias Harris is more of a bigger wing slash for.
And so in today's MBA, where it's all about spacing and being able to move without the ball quickness and being versatile on offense and defense.
Tohave Al Horford, who is truly a five, play the four and have Tobias Harris, who I would consider more of a four to play the three and then also have Ben Simmons, who can't shoot the three as your starting point guard.
Your primary ball handler.
The spacing is gonna get pretty tough for the 76 years.
It's just defensively.
I think, that they're going to be elite.
They have length everywhere.
Al Horford's one of the best defensive big men in the N B A.
He's going to be playing alongside Joel Embiid.
I'd expect Brett Brown to stagger their minutes quite a bit, so at least one of them bead and Al Horford is always on the floor.
And the only thing is Al Horford.
It's gonna be tough for him to chase around fours when they're more mobile fours, same thing with Tobias Harris guarding threes.
I think he's better suited to guard force.
He's and say, an average defender against threes and an above average defender against fours.
Ben Simmons is an elite defender.
Joel Embiid is an elite defender, though, and offered sends a really good defender in his own right.
So defensively, this team should be fine.
My question is on the offensive side of things.
How do they fit? It seems like a pretty awkward fit, so we'll see what happens.
But I still have the Sixers coming in as the best record in the Eastern Conference, or at least tied with it.
I have the Sixers, the Bucks and the Nuggets all finishing with 60 wins for the best record in the N B. A.
Again sixes over Under is 54 a half.
So take the over on that.
I do feel pretty confident about that.
They don't have a better record this year than last year, even though they're not as talented just because the Eastern Conference has gotten even weaker.
So they're going to get a few more games.
So that is it for my Eastern Conference standings Predictions.
