everyone, Thanks for tuning in to another video and this one.
I'm going to be talking about who my predictions are for the All Star teams this upcoming season and then be a So let's get right to it in the Western Conference.
Remember, the starters are voted on by fans, so these were also list that I made at the beginning of the year, even though I haven't got them until now.
So made them before the season started last Tuesday.
So in the Western Conference, I have Stephan Curry and James Harden at the Guard positions you guys probably should know by now.
Steph Curry broke his hand earlier tonight against the Phoenix Suns.
He's gonna be out for 68 weeks.
I still feel pretty confident that he's gonna end up with the starter in the West just because the Western starters or at least half of it, is fan boats.
And then I think 1/4 of it is decided by the players, and the other quarter is decided by be coaches so or the media.
Actually, coaches decide the reserves, but starters it's 50% decided by fans.
25% of the vote comes from players and 25% from the media.
I still think Steph Curry is just a well liked enough player that the fan vote is going to have the number one like it does every year for the guard position and then the media.
Most of the media likes him, too, and I think they might be a little bit more biased to give it to him just because of what he's done.
The players might not be as forgiving on that.
I also get the sense that there are quite a few players that are kind of going to be chomping at the bit.
To not give Steph Curry that starting not and not make him an All Star after how much he has just annihilated the rest of the N B A along with other warriors in the past.
By still think Steph Curry is going to end up being the leading vote getter from the fans for guards in the West, and he'll end up being a starter.
Other starter, James Harden.
It's pretty obvious he is the best healthy guard in the West, now by far and what he is able to do on a night in night out basis is great.
I take joy in being able to walk really good basketball.
He plays really good basketball, even if he style, that he plays isn't the most exciting style, just because a lot of his game is predicated on getting to the rim.
But James Harden is undoubtedly going to be an All Star and undoubtedly gonna be a starter for the West, going to the front court positions.
Remember the N B A did away with two forwards and a center.
Now it's just three front court players, and so in the front court, I have LeBron James.
No surprise, Kawai Leonard, also no surprise, and Anthony Davis.
I think those are probably going to be pretty clear cut.
I think Nikola Yokich is goingto have a case to be made for a starter, and he might be putting forward a better statistical season than many of the three starters.
But when you combine the fans being able to vote the media and the players, I just don't think that Nikolay Yokich is going to have enough respect from his.
Here's his players around.
The league is well to get him that starting nod.
So LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the best duo in basketball, and they have been showing that an early start to the year.
I know they have an off game against the Clippers.
I had said right that I didn't wanna overreact to much to one game.
I know they haven't played any other team as good as the Clippers, but they played the Jazz, who I think are actually going to have a better regular season record than the Clippers.
And so I fully expect LeBron and Anthony Davis to put up really big numbers and deserve a starting, not on the western side of things.
He's playing in a really big market in L.
Again, I know it's playing for the Clippers instead of the Lakers.
That might actually give him some drawback where not as many fans were going to be voting for him as obviously, if he had done the Lakers with you and if he had just stayed with the Raptor just because in l.
A more fans or Laker fans than Clipper fans.
And they're to be a little bit of not heat, but not jealous, either.
I'm trying to think of the right word, but just kind of bitterness.
That's the right word.
Bitterness for Kwai Leonard and not wanting to vote for him.
But I still think he's going to be doing enough and he's going to deserve a spot.
He when he plays, he is incredible.
It's just he does rest more games than I would like for him to.
I'd like to see him play just because I like watching the basketball, but I understand why he rests.
He wants to be fresh for the playoffs like he was last year.
Still think it'll do enough to earned a starting? Not for the Western Conference on the bench for the Western Conference.
I have Damian Lillard, who is probably the third best guard in the Western Conference.
Steph Curry and James Gardner in the league of their own.
And then underneath them is Damian Lillard, who last year had an amazing run in the regular season and in the playoffs, spring and the Blazers all the way to the Western Conference finals.
I know these votes are just based on what can you do this year? I'm expecting another really big ear from Damian Lillard this year.
He went crazy against the Spurs just a few nights ago.
All of sled, the Blazers all the way back to a victory.
I'm expecting more performances like that from him and yeah, should be encouraging to see him going forward.
Next up is nickel yoga, so he is my M v P choice or pick to win M V P this year.
So I have to have him on this All Star team, and I think that e again, he does so much for the Nuggets and the Nuggets should have the best record in the West this year.
So I'm expecting him to be an All Star.
Not really too much debate about that.
I have the Mavericks making the playoffs this year.
I think Luca Don Kitsch is going to be putting up a really big numbers this entire year.
He's gotten off to a really hot start.
I don't think those numbers are going to be able to continue, but I do think he'll average summer around 23 24 points a game to go along with probably eight rebounds and six and 1/2 7 assists, so I think that he definitely will have good chance of making the All Star team, and I'm gonna put him on my All Star T Next up.
I have Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz, so I have the Jazz being the one of the top four teams in the West.
I'm not gonna reveal the actual ranking until I get to my regular season standings predictions, but Donovan Mitchell is the best player on that Utah Jazz team.
I think that drives team has a lot of gritty talent players that aren't afraid to work hard, and because of that and because of how young they are, I think that they should be one of the best teams in the West in the regular season.
So Donovan Mitchell is going to definitely earn him out there.
Karl Anthony towns to third best center in the league.
I have Nikolay Okay, trees.
The best center Jolan beat is the second best center, and then Karl Anthony Towns is the third best center and he's going to deserve this fall on the All Star team.
You've seen what he's done so far.
I know the Timberwolves are three and one.
Right now, I don't think that's going to continue.
We're gonna end up falling out of the playoff race.
And typically, all Stars don't usually make.
Our players don't usually make an All Star team unless they are making the playoffs or if they don't make the playoffs safe to be really, really good.
And I think Karl Anthony Towns has a really a chance this year of being really, really good for a Timberwolves team that doesn't have a too too much outside of him in terms of offensive firepower.
And he should be taking up the slack.
The last two spots on the Western Conference team is going to go to Russell Westbrook, who's starting point guard for the Houston Rockets seem that should finish among the top five in the Western Conference this year.
And I think Westbrook, I don't think that the West recording experiment is going to finish the way that Rockets fans obviously would like.
Do you think it's gonna be enough for them to be an effective team in the regular season? I could see them being taken out in the playoffs in the first round.
I could see them making it to the second round if they have a right match up in the first round.
But I don't see them making it past the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.
And although I don't see that in the regular season, I think Westbrook will be putting up enough numbers.
Harden and Westbrook should get along well enough over the course of the regular season, where they can both put up really impressive numbers.
When playoffs come around, though, in the game starts getting a little bit tighter and the peace get slowed down.
That's where I think they're going to struggle, and it will ultimately be their downfall.
But regular season, Westbrook puts up really big numbers.
He had a triple double tonight.
I don't think he's gonna average a triple double this year, but it's still be close to that.
I think he'll be putting up around 2021 points to go along with eating half rebounds and eight and 1/2 assists.
So really good numbers.
That should definitely earned him an All Star non last up Kristaps Porzingis.
So this is provided the state's healthy.
He's looked really good so far.
I have this before the year started.
I have the Mavericks making the playoffs.
Like I said, and I think poor Zynga's is going to maim or instrumental to the Mavericks success than someone like CJ McCollum would be to the Blazers success.
It's not the same.
McCollum is not important for the Blazers because he absolutely is.
But the Mavericks are going to be leaning more on Kristaps.
Sport is Angus, even though they have Luca dockets that I've been leaning on both of them.
They're gonna be leaning on Kristaps Porzingis more than the Blazers are on C J. McCollum.
And I think C J.
McCollum is probably the biggest snuff that I have on this.
But the Western Conference is so loaded with so much talent that there's only there's only 12 spots to give, so I can't give that spot to CJ McCollum and Kristaps Porzingis.
I think Porzingis is going to earn it and play a little bit better this year than CJ McCollum is, so that'll do it for the Western Conference All Stars.
