Joining me today from ESPN l a Showtime forum.
And, of course, Dodger Blue.
Greg, how are you doing? What's going on? Trevor.
Thanks for having me back.
It's been a few weeks.
I thought you know what? We need to have another show.
We have a ton of fun last time talking Lakers basketball.
But I guess before we even dive into basketball, the Washington Nationals just won the World Series.
How are you holding up with that? I'm not. I'm not.
I don't know how I feel about it.
One of the things where baseball for me and it.
You know, 23 weeks ago, when the hunters lost the nationals.
That was the end of baseball for me.
But if one team is gonna win, I'm happy that the Nationals won for the first time.
And it was on the home field of Houston.
So they kind of see what we felt like When then? When? Houston.
One couple of years ago on at Dodger Stadium.
Now you lost on your home field and all four times on your old It makes me feel a little bit better.
I mean, look, they kind of got to experience the same thing, But I keep going back to this.
And look, I am not nearly as tuned into the Dodgers as as you are paper.
So you can You can tell me right if this is the sentiment from Dodgers fans, but I keep going back to that.
Will Smith hit at the very end of that game? Seven against the Nationals? Or was it game five games gave file Case a game five against against the Nationals.
Like if that travels of foot ****her, are the Dodgers the champs right now? Absolutely, Absolutely.
That's the only way and think about it.
And he thought he hit that out.
He actually did hold back, talk me through it.
High in the air from the air. He was excited.
The whole bench was excited and all sudden it dies.
It was that was a regular season, all things that will torture us during during what's going to be a long off season.
But hey, at least on the upside, the Lakers, is it Yes, are looking good with the Los Angeles Lakers right now, some incredible stuff going on, and then we got news today from charms, tyranny of the athletic, that cow Cosmos coming back? How big of a deal is this for the Lakers, in your opinion that they will have Kyle Kuzma back in the rotation.
I think it's huge.
It's a great It's a great pickup for the dog stuck on daughters.
Now you did it to me. It's your fault.
But the Lakers are going to be great for them.
It's gonna take a little bit of time for him to catch his legs because he hasn't played in a game since Team USA August is that when they were July? Yeah, it's a lie.
And the actual game since July with Team USA, he's not gonna come in and all of a sudden be pouring in 25 30 points a game.
Tell me off the vent.
It's just not how it's gonna happen, but tow.
Have a legit score coming off the bench.
That's a huge pickup.
And so something that has really been missing.
It's really something that you can kind of afford to use Anthony Davis and LeBron James off the floor at the same time, for because now you have two legitimate guys coming off the bench, which you know you're gonna get into it.
But coming off the bench, having Dwight Howard and Pau Guzman coming up is going to really help that second unit a lot.
So I'm I'm really excited to see what whose mother can do.
He is a guy that over the offseason was working a lot with legal shooter to really help his three point shooting and to help justice overall game.
And from everything we've seen, he looks dynamic.
So I mean, I get it.
It's with nobody guarding him, but it's but he looks really good.
So I'm excited to really have a legit score coming off the bench.
That's not Casey, to be fair.
I mean, even Ae Jeong Leon looked amazing when he's going up against a chair right through the the best one on share workout of all time.
Yes, you can look good, but I think even going back to Team USA, you you're onto something there.
He looked good and I thought we saw him focusing with Team USA on the things that you wanted to focus on as a Laker, and that was cutting off the ball.
Hitting is his shots from outside and then playing good defense on both the perimeter and on the inside.
If he does those three things for the Lakers, he's a huge addition.
And, yeah, you could say those areas that he's needed to improve on with the exception of the off ball cutting, which was phenomenal last season.
But I think if his defense has improved even a little bit in the off season and if his shot has improved, if he's got back to that rookie level about 37% from three, this is gonna be a big pickup.
I think he's probably your third best player on the Lakers.
It once he gets his legs under him.
And that's what he was billed as he was billed as the third scorer.
You're supposed to be the third superstar right in.
The Big Three was supposed to Kyle Kuzma.
So now to have him back in this early in the season when people are kind of worried, well, maybe he's not coming back until you know December or January to get him back on November 1st.
That's a really, really big deal for this.
Later seemed And like you said, if you can do, just get back to run that 37% from three point range and being off ball cutter, he is going to have plenty of open space, especially on that second scene.
Yeah, I mean, look, I've repeated this on this show a 1,000,000 times to the point where when I say it now, people are probably rolling their eyes.
But LeBron James got Maur assists, bypassing to Kyle Cruise my last season than any other Laker, and it wasn't close.
I think LeBron is gonna be excited that Cosmo's back, Anthony Davis, is gonna have that other weapon.
And more importantly, maybe now when a D and LeBron are out and they're both out at the same time, which look you have Frank Vogel's tried to stagger, but you still have some minutes where both of them need to be out at the same time.
Now you've got a guy who can go out there and create his own shot.
I think that's so big for the Lakers because we've seen how ugly.
I mean, just horrific.
The offense looks when both of them are out.
It died complete because look, Avery Bradley, KCP, Troy Daniels, Quinn Cook are all fine players, but they don't They don't have the scoring prowess that Kyle Kuzma has.
So to be able to have a guy that can play multiple minutes long minutes in with that second unit and be a legit score that people hot that other teams have to pay attention to, it changes.
The whole dynamic of that second unit.
Where he can be and what everyone thought before the season started was as a legit guy that could be 1/6 Man Award winner.
And if you can come in and be that guy, the guy that's kind of like Lou Williams with the Clippers and John comes in and puts up points, then great and then I mean, defense is where it really is going to have to make a big difference for him.
If you can play some D and what's to stop or a two way player, then he's gonna be just a huge pickup and really the end of Gates to talk in close games. The end of games.
Think about with the Clippers in the first game you had when you had to use either Dwight Howard or Javale McGee.
Instead, you could have how Kuzma in there and be in finishing with Kyle Kuzma changes the entire end of games.
So what are you doing then? If we're if we're talking end of game, we're talking.
If you want to call it the death line up or whatever, we want to call it the closing line up.
If you're putting Kuzma in there, what is what is that group gonna look like? Well, then that means Anthony Davis to play your five where she has been by far the best I know we're gonna get into numbers and all that.
He has been great at the center position, which obviously is gonna happen.
LeBron is the a d LeBron Cal Kuzma.
Um And then I would go Danny Green.
Most definitely, because he's what he's your best on ball defender.
And plus also, when your best shooters and I would probably go with Avery Bradley in that situation just to have the the involved defense for little.
Yeah, I think the great thing about the Lakers line up and you can say they've got too many guards But the great thing about their lineup is it.
When you do put Kuzma into that, that Final five or whatever you wanna call it that last spot, I agree.
Danny Green gets one of those.
So you have those four guys.
You've got 80 coups milieu that LeBron, you got Danny Green.
But then that fifth spot is you can.
If you're Frank Vogel, you can kind of play around with that, and you can find whoever it is that has the has the hot hand that night.
If it's KCP, is it which look, don't kill me.
Lakers fans had two bad games.
Okay, he's better than what we saw in the first, he said.
He's not great, but I mean, like, he can do some things out there.
But in the fourth quarters in the fourth quarter, wave got a blowout lead.
Then, yes, then he can do some good things.
Is Alex Caruso? Is Rondo whoever? That's where Frank Vogel kind of, you know, pick and choose who he's going to go with their.
So I think it's gonna add another dynamic.
Having Kuzma back Pretty exciting, I think.
Let's let's talk a little bit about this because I want to get into surprises, right? We're four games into the season.
We've started to see some trends.
Yes, it's still, it's still a tiny sample size, but what has been most surprising to you both on the for the Lakers and for the N B A at large, it was caught you off guard this season.
Well, Dwight Howard has to be the biggest surprise for the Lakers, especially after that coming up that huge 18 10 game that he had on Sunday.
But just the way that he has come in and done exactly as he said he was going to do and just be an energy guy and and play to his role.
And that's what he's been.
He has been a legitimate role player this season.
I'm surprised by that look, it's four games.
I like what I've seen from all four games.
He hasn't been storing a ton and most games sometimes around to two fours, six point something like that.
But you always get, you know, 678 rebounds and a couple blocks and maybe a steel, and he's making getting some big rebounds by with his hustle stats.
I think that's a has been a gigantic help for this later steam and really has outplayed JaVale McGee and pretty much all facets of the game so far.
But I still like him coming off the bench because I love his energy there.
Besides that, I most surprised I would have to say, Bye.
I'm trying to make us like a certain team, but nobody really has surprised me all that much.
That's pretty much what you expected.
Um, I may be the Spurs being undefeated, but they're always going to be kind of good Minnesota starting off three, you know, even though they lost tonight, I think that they were a bit of surprise because Minnesota is always supposed to be that team that is right there.
They're supposed to be like, Oh, they're gonna be in the playoffs but never quite there yet.
But they never make that leap.
And you think, Oh, they're three, you know, to start the season, they're starting to look like maybe the team they're supposed to, but as long as you have Andrew Wiggins on that team and Karl Anthony Towns is great when he's not fighting Joel and B.
But he's great, and he's playing really well.
But he's one of those guys that you don't know if you can really trust his, his motor.
And so right now, I would maybe right there where they are.
That's gonna be like like Minnesota Timberwolves game plan is going to be, you know, close out on shooters and attack the rim on the offensive end and then don't fight Joel Embiid.
That's part of their game plan.
At this point, Nobody never fight joy.
Let Well, if you're Boban, Boban can fight Joel and beat nobody.
Yes, yeah, that's it's scary of, so I guess, the thing that stands out, I've got two things that stand out to me as as the most surprising and first of all, is how good the Phoenix Suns have been.
I thought they would be awful lot like one of the worst ever, and then the teams were actually playing right now the Golden State Warriors.
How bad the Warriors have been, like had the like.
They haven't switched places or anything.
I still don't think you're going to be a good team long term, but they've been respectable.
I didn't think they would be respectable.
And I didn't think the Warriors we would be this bad.
I knew they weren't gonna be like, you know, when they have Katie and when they have Clay And there, this this juggernaut, they weren't gonna be that anymore.
But I still thought, Okay, French playoff team.
They're looking horrific.
And I don't know exactly what the fix is gonna be if Clay Thompson really is out for the whole season.
Yeah, The Warriors are an interesting team, but once once we found out that Clay Thompson wasn't coming about coming back, I mean, think about it.
It was really It was Draymond, Clay and Steph.
So that was your big three.
And Dreamin was just kind of a guy that was just a big energy guy and kind of did everything.
But he's not a scorer.
And so the fact is that you don't have that.
He was your best perimeter defender of one of the best in the entire league.
So you lost him.
And who lost one of the best *****s ever in Kevin Durant? There's not much else there.
D'Angelo Russell is great, but then he's when he's in a big stage.
What do you like? When he was with the Lakers? I didn't think he was all that fantastic when he was with the Nets, when he was kind of hidden in New Jersey, Brooklyn, When he was kind of get in there, he was able to just shine.
He's not hitting it anymore.
And he's hitting these with Steph Curry.
So it just doesn't seem to work yet.
And I just don't think they have.
They don't have the guns to be able to do what they've been doing over the last couple of years.
So yeah, once I found out that it seems weird to say that because of how good they've been for so long.
But I think you're right.
I think, Look, I mean, D'Angelo Russell was good in Brooklyn, but part of that was because he got to run a 1,000,000 pick and rolls, and that's what he's really, really good at.
And he's not gonna have the ball in his hands all the time in Golden State because they've got this guy Steph Curry.
So that's that's an issue.
And then, you know, dream on green like we're finding out now that they're doing like the rial height for N B A players.
Now we're finding out just how undersized dream on is.
And guys like that are gonna rely on their athleticism.
And I mean, look, as he gets older and not saying he's old at this point or anything, but it feels like he's taken a little bit of a step back at the worst possible time.
Really? Because he's gonna be hitting free agency this next summer or no.
Did they did they re up him? I think my they reminded.
I need to double check on that, but well, he's up here is up at the end of this year, Whether they did or did not write this, what happen is up time.
But yeah, Draymond green is they left You left Draymond green wide open for three l over and over again last year on purpose.
And now you can still do that same thing with him.
And you don't have that extra score that you had with either play or Durant.
So, yeah, Draymond is looking like the guy that was a second round pick.
Yeah, I mean, he is well I think he's little better than a typical second round pick.
But but four year, 100 million extension.
That's what I knew there was something that he had done.
So he actually did get extension with the Warriors.
But he's just he's just kind of he's just a guy right now.
He's not like the dominant guy there, at least not at this point.
Um, okay, let's let's jump back, Thio Lakers, Here s o great.
Here's the thing I was getting.
So I was excited, like beyond excited way Anthony Davis blew up on the Memphis Grizzlies.
I was thinking, Oh, my God, we We haven't seen something like this for a long, long time in a Lakers jersey we haven't seen a guy just absolutely demolished a team pretty much on his own right.
Just put a team on his back and just go on.
We haven't seen it since Kobe.
Really, like LeBron had a couple of big games last season and stuff.
But this level to go out there and just completely destroyed a team the way Anthony Davis did to the Memphis Grizzlies.
We haven't seen in a while, and you know, I've got people jumping in my mentions.
People firing comments go No, it's just the Memphis Grizzlies.
It's not a big deal.
Let me know when they do it against a good team.
Know the Memphis Grizzlies are a R N N b a team first fall and with how long it's been since the Lakers have had this kind of success, have had something I had a player of this caliber to enjoy.
I'm going to celebrate it.
I'm going to enjoy these moments because we never know what the future holds.
I think it's totally okay to celebrate that, that Anthony Davis beat up on the Memphis crazy.
I think it's fine if he beats up on some of the weaker teams.
Yeah, maybe it means a little more if he does it against the Clippers or something like that.
But you know what for? Right now, I'm gonna take it.
Not sure, and you should, because it is fantastic to watch.
I was at the game.
I was there watching the game and that place was electric.
It was going everybody on a Tuesday night, everybody was standing up.
Channing and M V p.
He legitimately was taking control of the entire game all by himself.
They could not do anything to stop him.
And I don't remember the last time that I was able to say there was a player of this magnitude that could take over every part of the game offensively, defensively and just really be excited to watch Laker games again.
It was insanity to see how the watching him, You're looking at it.
You're saying, My God, he's gigantic, right? And look at him.
He is just so good people talking about like, Oh, he's not really a top player.
No, no, you're wrong.
He is a top five player.
He is that good and he controls every aspect. He's blocking shots.
He's getting defensive rebounds.
He gets offensive rebounds.
He finds his way to the rim with regularity.
He is a magnificent watch, and you should be absolutely be excited about it.
I don't care who it's against.
The fact of the matter is he had 17 points and nine rebounds in the first quarter, and he ended up with 40 and 20.
They were in the third quarter.
Memphis and the Lakers went on a huge run towards the end of it, where he That's a play in the fourth quarter because they were up.
So it was insanity.
He was so good to watch today's Yeah, it was amazing stuff.
I can't imagine how it was actually in the arena.
This was This was something where it was almost like there was a shift in just the mood of the team.
The energy of the team completely changed, and it was all following Anthony Davis.
Even LeBron was just, I mean, his his energy on the defense event picked up.
They started forcing turnovers.
It was like Anthony Davis just suddenly said, Oh, no, Memphis Grizzlies.
It's not gonna be your night.
I'm gonna put you away right now And he just and he just did it.
It was like whenever he wanted to, he was gonna just take over the game and dominate and he did.
It's been, it's.
There's very few players in NBA history that could do what we saw him do and that's just absolutely annihilated team.
The way that he did it was incredible and like you said, this guy is a full fledged superstar and I want to make sure that we that we appreciate getting to watch talent like that after what we've been through over the last, What, six years now, Right? And now remember, Anthony Davis had a hurt shoulder.
He only played 3/4 when we played 31 minutes.
All of these things don't say to you 40 and 20 but all they do is just keep feeding it into Anthony Davis.
They had nothing to try and stop it.
There was, you know, it was crazy to.
We're watching Memphis and all. I was excited.
I was like, Oh, I get to see John Brant, Possibly probably going to be the rookie of the year and he was non existence.
I didn't even notice him on the floor for most of the game.
He had a three pointer every once in a while towards the end of the game with Anthony Davis was out and LeBron kind of had a couple turnovers and then job went down.
He got a couple of baskets, but besides that, he was not existed and that was because everybody was focused on Anthony Davis.
Yeah, I mean, he completely stole the spotlight.
Even LeBron, who had a decent game.
Statistically, it was like he was barely even out there because everybody was watching a D, which is absolutely incredible.
Speaking of the shoulder.
So we know the Anthony Davis didn't seem too worried about a postgame, said he's gonna take a few days here.
Lakers don't play again until Friday, when they take on the Dallas Mavericks.
How worried are you about that shoulder? Because I've got so many people that are jumping in our chats, whether it's on YouTube, whether it's on periscope, whether it's on Facebook saying that they are getting nervous because how often Anthony Davis hits the ground, they're nervous about the shoulder injury.
I mean, on a scale of 1 to 10.
How worried are you at this point about Anthony Davis is health.
I'm always kind of worried about David help, but your people coming in your mentions, all right? I don't I think the best comparison for me is Dwayne Wade, who hit the floor after every single shot in his early career.
That's how often Anthony Davis is on the grant was on the ground.
I think he's on the ground 15 to 17 times a game.
Every every time he hits the ground, my heart stops.
So I get I get worried because you get off the floor.
No, don't do that.
Don't Or when? Who was it? Someone fell on the back of his of his leg.
I think it might have been Jaren Jackson Jr and I like.
It's like the play goes in slow motion in my mind, you know, it's I mean, it's frightening.
Just because he does have that injury history, it's him and him and Alex Caruso hit the floor so much, I just cashed.
I keep my fingers crossed and hope he can stay healthy.
Yeah, I mean, the injury history is something that I know.
I heard Colin Colin Cowherd talking about it this morning about the injury history.
That's one of the narratives that a lot of you know, the talking heads.
All would like to talk about, which I guess we are.
We're talking right now, pretty much, but what we are is that that Anthony Davis, they talked about his injury history and, yeah, in his first close in three years, he played about 60 65 games a year, but that's he was kind of growing into his body.
He has a very big frame and he was very thin and now he's a much bigger guy.
But last year I don't count last year because the pelicans just said We're not playing because we're trying to trade you.
Yeah, I don't count last year, so we only played what, 56? Something like that.
Games that when you gotta throw out.
The two years prior to that, though.
He played 75 games in both of those seasons, so that's not I mean, he might have, like, little ailments here and there, but he's playing full seasons now.
He is not that injury prone guy that he was in the early career and you see it a lot.
We talked a step.
Curry is a guy that used to have injury history.
In earlier, Lonzo Ball was obviously as injury histories early in his career.
A lot of guys Jonah Santana Lupo had injury histories early in his career, so if that happens you're going into your envy a body and I think so.
Now that he's I think he's past that.
He's a big, hulking dude that has played 75 games two years prior to this, so I'm not too worried about his injury history.
I do whatever your superstar has a shoulder injury.
Yeah, I'm a little worried.
So to answer your original question, I'm like a five or six.
Yeah, I guess it worried me a little bit that he said it was hurting, but he wanted to try to play through it.
I think I'm at a point where I'm like, Oh, don't play through anything you know, because I'm so concerned about about injury, I'd rather say, Okay, just just sit out.
Because the important thing for the Lakers is that everybody is healthy for the playoffs, right? Not so much that they that they are winning as many games as possible in the regular season.
I don't care if the five seed or the three seed or whatever it doesn't matter, be healthy.
That's that's number one.
So I guess that's where a lot of people myself included, start to worry when he's saying I'm playing through.
Things were only in the fourth game of the season on he already had the thumb injury, so it's It's a concern, but fingers crossed.
Hopefully, it doesn't wind up being anything, anything to major.
And like you said, there are some players that just need to grow into their bodies.
I mean, look, the Gold State Warriors, they got a dynasty because Steph Curry had that injury history and he had a contract that was less than his production on the floor because he had a history of injuries as they drew so kaos Kiss the cab center who was by no means an incredible player, anything.
But it was plagued by foot injuries Early in his career, people thought he was never gonna be able to stay on the floor.
Then he turned around.
He had a pretty good n b a career for himself.
So, yeah, look, guys can break free of that injury prone label.
And I think if 80 stays relatively healthy this season, then we're going to see him make that jump where people don't worry quite so much about him.
But for right now, people still have those injuries kind of fresh in mind, right? And I think you're right.
It's I'm with you on this.
If you were in October, still I don't care if he sits out of game in October, right? I don't care if he sits on a game in November a couple of games just to make sure that that shoulder is completely healthy.
It's like you said it doesn't matter.
Third fit 2nd 1st board.
I don't care what as long as they're up in the upper tier of the playoff structure and it's all about the playoffs because this team is not built for just making it to the playoffs.
This team is built for winning in the N B A championship.
So yes, four games into the season, I don't need you just sitting back and being and being injured and playing through injuries.
Sit out if you need Thio totally fine with that.
And people are gonna be upset if you lose because Anthony Davis, it's.
But you know what? That's where Cal Kuzma hopefully comes in steps.
Actual hardening roll and then you can Europe.
You can you can actually have a little bit of load management with LeBron and with a devious LeBron is 35 years old and coming off the worst injury of his Yeah, look, if you are bringing back how, Cruz.
But that's where it gives you that little bit of cushion where you can go.
Hey, Kyle Kuzma.
We need 20 points tonight because eighties eighties gonna rest this game where LeBron's gonna rest this game or whatever.
And Cruise we can give you that. No, he's not LeBron.
No, he's not a D, but he can fill in and at least give you that punch that you need to wear.
You can beat some of the lower tier teams without some of your stars.
If you have a guy who could do those things, where is the rest of the Lakersroster? They're dependent on those stars.
Danny Green, Danny Green on a, say a team like whatever, the Orlando Magic or whoever.
One of the lower tier teams out there, the Knicks.
Danny Green is nowhere near as good on one of those teams.
He's one of those guys, just like Quinn Co.
Just like Troy Daniels.
All these other players that need stars around them to help their own game.
Kyle Kuzma can go get his own without needing.
I started play alongside, right? Yeah, we saw Kyle, who's gonna do it last year with, Yeah, pretty much of a bad team.
I mean, they obviously didn't make the playoffs.
LeBron injured all that stuff, but he was getting his.
He was getting his points.
He had multiple 30 point games.
He was over in the twenties consistently for a lot of what went through a whole period.
I think it was like 10 and 11 games in a row, something along those lines where he was getting 20 plus points so he could do it.
But yeah, I have that ability to come on and give LeBron Anthony Davis a little bit of time off.
Yeah, for sure, 100% talking a little bit of just doing some scoreboard watching here.
There's a lot of people popping into our various live chats.
They're talking about the scores, that air dropping around the NBA's right now.
And a lot of people are, well, not surprisingly, celebrating that the Clippers are losing to the Utah Jazz right now. Game just ended.
They're gonna actually kind of get blown out, lost by 16 here to the Jazz.
But that's without Kawai. Leonard.
Hey, load management what we're talking about.
But then another one that that was, well, it's raised some eyebrows here.
What is going on? They just lost 118 to 111 to the Charlotte Hornets, who are predicted to be one of the worst teams in the league this season.
The Lakers just main handled then the other night.
The King's Owen five on the season like is Luke right back in the hot seat here? I don't want to get to sidetracked on Luke Walton conversation, but I'm I mean, we got to talk about it here.
Because, yes, the Kings are probably the worst team in the N B.
They're one of only a couple of teams that haven't won a game yet.
I think the Pelicans are the only other team that haven't won yet, but the Kings are.
This is it is the Luke Walton conversation.
It's the fact that last year you were under out.
Actually, the entire time the Lakers had Luke Walton, there wasn't an offensive scheme, there was no offensive game plan whatsoever and you took a team that had, you know, there's no Marvin back early which I get.
But the Kings were a high scoring, fun, fast paced team.
So you thought that maybe Luke just walked right into that and keep that going.
But it's not working.
They don't have that offensive game plan.
And that's what we've as Laker fans watched and you saw over and over again looks rotations.
You did this last year.
Uh, he doesn't understand the offense.
He doesn't have offensive minded assistant coaches going sitting next to him that know how to play the game correctly, that in today's style of play and showing it's happening again here in Sacramento, they're one of the worst things.
They have the lowest, the lowest point in point differential.
They're one of the only few teams in the entire N B A that hasn't scored 100 is not averaging 100 points per game is crazy.
I just it's They're a really bad team.
And yes, I blame this all on Luke Walton, just like we blamed it all on Luke Walton when he was with the Lakers.
See, I didn't blame it all on Luke.
Well, that was one of the guys saying that I thought Luke Walton had some of the skill sets in order to be a positive coach in the n B. A.
At least a better than average coach in the n b A.
I thought that he relates to players really well.
I like the way that he ran a lot of things, but for the most part, the challenges, the offensive.
I thought his defense's have been pretty good.
It fell apart last year, but the offensive has always been a challenge for him.
And this is a king's team that was supposed to be Oh, oh, we've got some breaking news here, Greg.
Oh, I love breaking news.
So we're just kind of talking about the Warriors? No, Stephan Curry.
It's a broken left hand.
Yeah, Oh, complete tank mode full on tank mode.
That team is going to be in the top five in the NBA draft next year, and that's it's the smartest thing they could do.
I mean, do they even have a I think they do there one through 20.
Protective, I believe.
Okay, if you want to go look at that just to make sure I'm right on it as we want 20 protected and so that they can Actually, they would keep their pick.
And this is what they should do.
If that's the case, now that you have a broken hand instead.
Oh, God, I feel so bad for him, right? This could have been an M V P type season form, if you just if he was able to keep them above water.
But now he's done.
Now that means, obviously, you don't even think about bringing in Clay Thompson.
Even if you don't, you don't rush.
All right? No, not at all.
You just let them just kind of flounder and fall apart.
Um, and but then it starts talking about Do you start trading guys? Does.
Does Daniel Russell get traded for assets? Very. Possibly.
That was the rumor when they first signed him was that they were signing him in order to later trade him.
Hey, that's pretty good on top your head yet is one through 20 protected to the Brooklyn Nets.
The Gold State Warriors pick here.
So interesting to see what happens there.
I mean, look a broken hand that's typically like a 4 to 6 week injury.
So it's not like he's done for the season or anything like that.
But by that point, how many games will they have lost? They could be in a really deep hole.
That's gonna be a tough one to climb out of for the Golden State Warriors.
And you know what I mean? Look, terrible.
Hate seeing injuries like that.
Not that not that teams are hoping.
Or fans are hoping to see the Golden State Warriors do great after.
How how much they beat up on everybody in recent years.
But you hate seeing a guy like Steph Curry go down to an injury.
Yes, Armstrong had just confirmed it broken left hand.
But the bandwagon fans from Golden State that were never actually Golden State Warriors fans until they're good, they're no longer there.
Now they have now dropped down to Laker or Clipper.
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
That's that's just what happened.
Eso look, you've got so a lot of problems going on in Northern California.
Luke Walton, with Kings, the king's heir falling to pieces, can't seem to get things done, even though they had an exciting young team and now the Warriors without Steph Curry, rough rough stuff.
So I want to get into Greg.
I want to get into some of the stats the Lakers have put up.
I want to get into some of the the ****ytics and things like that.
We'll dive into that in just a moment.
But first we need to do a quick shout out to our sponsor, which is feels so.
Do you experience stress or have anxiety? Chronic pain Have trouble sleeping atleast once a week.
