Hello, everybody, and welcome to the broadcast on Samuel Reese.
Coming to you live right here on SportsCastr.
It's Game six of the 2019 and they'll be world Siris.
It's the Washington Nationals at the Houston Astros in the best of seven series that the Astros lead 3 to 2.
The Astros can win it all tonight for the second time in three years, or the Nationals can keep their season alive in Force a Game seven tomorrow night once again in Houston.
We'll see a big game tonight.
A lot of for grabs.
Thanks, Avery, for coming in right away.
I appreciate that, man.
I was enjoying your broadcast role, the for all.
Everyone who's starting to tune in here.
As we get more viewers, make sure you check out Avery on SportsCastr.
He's got some really good content.
He was just commentating the Hawks and Heat.
He doesn't really good job.
How long has it been? Oh, it's been about Just a minute.
It judge my video.
Just went to a minute.
Yeah, barely anything.
You came on pretty quick.
I appreciate that.
So it's the world Siris Nationals Astros.
It's Justin Verlander again.
Stephen Strasburg in what should be a great pitching duel.
We'll see what we get tonight.
The Astros can win it all.
The Nationals trying to keep their season alive in force a Game seven tomorrow night.
Thanks so much for joining me tonight on SportsCastr, and we're just about ready for the first pitch of this game.
Verlander to deliver, and we are underway from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
Game six of the World Series has officially started the first pitch high for ball one.
So Trey Turner, the leadoff hitter for the Nationals in the world, Siris just the 1 36 average.
No home runs, no.
Maybe that can change tonight. The one I was fouled off.
So, yes, as I mentioned, Justin Verlander is on the mound for the Astros tonight.
In the World Series game to loss, he went six innings, allowing seven hits, four runs, forward runs, three walks, six strikeouts and 107 pitches.
It was a rare double loss colon, Game one and Verlander in Game two.
But the last three games, the Astros have been looking Ah, whole lot better.
A whole new team.
Both teams basically flip flopped from Games one and 2234 and five.
That's a swing and a miss.
So one and two is now the count.
The away team has won every game.
Will that continue tonight? The 12 pitch from Verlander? It's outside those own fur ball, too, So the Count's now even this game just underway.
Thank you, Steph, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday night.
I appreciate you coming in here on SportsCastr.
It's Game six of the World Series between the Washington Nationals in Houston. Astros.
The 22 pitch from Verlander, Swing on by Turner takes two hops, the barehanded grab by Bregman over the Gourriel.
He's out at first, and Turner definitely didn't think so.
We'll see if the Nationals challenge this.
It was awfully close.
It was a nice play by Bregman over at third.
He snagged that one barehanded and got it over the first.
In no time, it took the first top, was very high, took it well off the second bounce.
Try to get it over the first as quick as possible.
Turner gun on his jet down there.
He's safe. He looks safe.
The national should definitely challenge this.
Yet We get a view here is left foot clearly on the bag Before that ball touched the glove of Uly.
Gabrielle? Yeah, no doubt.
So this one's going to be overturned so long as the Nationals challenge this, which I see no reason why they wouldn't.
And yes, they are.
So the Nationals are challenging the call first out of the game.
And that was quick. He is safe.
So a replay review that was very quick.
They overturned the call.
Not much to look at.
Clear and obvious.
First time looking at that.
Turner knew it right away.
He knew that he was safe.
He was never gonna go back to the dugout.
So a nice effort by Alex Redman.
Just not quite on time.
Here's the Washington Nationals batting order for you.
Trey Turner, Uh, Adam Eaton, Anthony Rendon, Juan Soto, Howie Kendrick, Asdrubal Cabrera, Ryan Zimmerman, Victor Robe Less and Yang Yang Gums.
So that pitch is called a strike.
Adam Eaton, as I just mentioned in the lineup.
He's the number two hitter in the World Series with a 3 16 average, one home run, three R B I.
He's batting to 36 in the postseason, so a No.
One count Verlander takes a glance over the first where Trey Turner is leading.
A bunt down the third base line.
The play by Cherie knows he got him at first, but nice sacrifice bunt, but eaten as over the second is Trey Turner.
So when I sacrifice bunt by Eton, Eton was almost safe himself.
Cherie Nose had to make quite the play was a nice bunt down the third base line.
Torino's had toe spin around make the play at first, but it was well done by Cherie knows also well done by eating so one down.
Now the nationals of the runner in scoring position, Turner on second up comes Anthony Ren Dome.
So the Nationals they have had a rough, rough time scoring runs these last three games, and the best possible start for them would be at least a run here in this first inning.
That would be the best possible start for them.
Good start so far.
One out Rend own up at bat.
The first pitch downstairs for ball one.
Thanks for the thumbs up.
I appreciate that.
Thank you very much.
I appreciate that. A lot.
Anthony Rend own in the world syriza 200 average.
We'll see if you can get a hit here.
Leading over at second is Trey Turner the one? Oh, it's fouled off by Anthony Rendon's.
So the count's even Verlander on the mound for the Astros.
He pitched in game Tube at this very place Minute Maid Park in Houston.
That game resulted in the loss.
He wasn't as he wasn't dominant, like we're used to seeing him, really this whole postseason.
He really got roughed up that game trying to bounce back tonight, but the Nationals know their season is on the line.
It will be no easy task for Verlander and the Astros.
Verlander about to deliver his pitch, but he holds up to turn around the face second base as Turner headed back to second the Washington Nationals Nationals with runners in scoring position, this Siri's and Games one and two.
They were seven for 21 in games three through 51 for 21.
If you could just see the drop off and really all categories offensively speaking, that's in there for Strike two.
So on deck for Washington is one sodo.
It's a one to count.
Verlander ready to deliver live pitch.
It's rocking inside Minute Maid Park as the Astros looked to win their Second World Siris and three years tonight.
The Nationals, though, have other plans now.
It's in the dirt blocked by Cherie knows the count's back, even at two and two.
So then don't be impatient here exactly what he needs to do against a guy like Verlander, so two to count one out top of the first inning.
Trey Turner is on second for the Nationals, looking to make some noise early on before the Astros even have a chance to get up at that.
Verlander takes a glance over at second, ready to deliver the pitch.
He just does just that in It's a foul tip by Ren Don't.
That was a nice pitch down the middle.
Rendon had no choice but to swing.
Got a tip on Anthony Rend own in the regular season.
The lead team you like the team in R B I end runs.
He had a 3 19 average.
But in the world, Siris, he's gone cold.
Just a 200 average.
No home runs in two r B I.
I mean the regular season.
He was truly remarkable, but a little bit a lot more of a struggle. This world.
Siris haven't haven't really a clicked offensively for him these last three games.
No one on the team has been able to click offensively, to be honest, but even in Games one and two, he still wasn't one of those guys that was scoring in those runs, so it's a two to count.
Verlander stepped off the mound for a second.
Now he's back on now the pitch to the plate and that's a ball.
So it's a full count.
Full count here.
Thank you, Jason, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Rendon's still M v P.
Yeah, you could definitely make a case.
Yeah, even though he's having a rough world.
I mean, yeah, it's possible.
Hinch, in its fifth season as the Astros manager, wouldn't rule it out.
Avery thanks Jason for joining the broadcast.
We got a full count here already.
Some action here in the first inning.
This will be it finds a gap rounding.
Third is Turner and he will score easily.
The Nationals are on the board.
It's an R B I single from Anthony Rend Zone.
The Nationals leads one to nothing in the top of the first inning.
How about that? Nice basing from Ren Dona Full count and a nice base hit found a gap in between first and second wide open between Gabrielle and Altuve A and the Nationals are on the board just like that.
Just the start Washington needed exactly.
You're exactly right, Avery.
That's the start they were looking for after going completely silent.
Let's be honest offensively.
In all three games they had at home in Games three through five, this is the start they needed.
Get a run on the board in the first inning before the Astros even have a chance of being up at that.
This is exactly what they're needed. You're right.
The national still not done.
I'll tell you that much.
That pitch up high for ball one.
It's one soda up that bat.
We got Anthony Rend own on first and for Verlander.
That's not the start he wanted.
Houston leads the series by a score of 3 to 2.
Justin Verlander first inning runs allowed in the regular season.
He had 34 starts, just 12 or 12 earned runs in the postseason.
Six starts, 10 earned runs may be cracking under pressure in the postseason, perhaps early on.
Anyways, this is popped high up in the left field by Sodo and an easy out for Michael Brantly.
You could tell right when that came off the bat of, so that he was frustrated.
He knew he didn't make the contact he would have liked.
So up comes how we can trick the number five hitter right in the middle of the lineup.
The D H in the world.
Siris batting to 22.
He has a 2 68 average in the postseason, so two down that was a big second out right there for Houston.
Here's the pitch from Verlander, and that's in there for strike one.
So if the Astros can end the inning right here, Yes, you allowed a run, but it's not the worst that could happen.
You're only down by a run.
Obviously, you wouldn't have liked to succeed to, ah, to exceed a run in the first inning.
But if you're only down by a run, I wouldn't worry too much if I was Houston, of course.
Still the top of the first inning here.
A whole another four hours of baseball to be played.
Probably that's of Hae won one. The count.
Concede, concede a run.
That's the word I was looking for.
I apologized in heart, Seen as in a second season as the Nationals manager one season.
It's been really for Washington.
They don't want their Cinderella story to end tonight, though.
This will be a pop up from Hendrick into right field.
Moving in on it is Red****.
But Al to base says it's mine and he makes the play Well, we're in the middle of the first, but damage is done by the Nationals.
Remember, trade? Turner was called out at first.
The Nationals challenge.
They reversed the call.
Turner ended up scoring in a run.
The nationals lead one to nothing.
Just the start they were looking for.
We now get to see Houston come up at that for the first time tonight after this commercial break. Don't go anywhere.
It's the World Series here on SportsCastr.
Back in a minute.
All right. Sorry about that.
Thank you, Lexi, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? Welcoming.
We're back here for the bottom of the first inning here in the 2019 World Series.
The Astros lead the series 3 to 2.
The Nationals leading this game.
George Springer leading off for Houston.
This world Siris batting 3 16 on the mound For the Nationals, it's Stephen Strasburg.
The first pitch of the game for Strasburg, and it's a bomb in the left field by Springer.
And this one's off the wall, out left, and that will be corralled out and left by one soda and easy double for Springer.
How about that? For a start by Houston, the first pitch of the game by Strasbourg and Springer? It's an absolute bomb off the left field wall.
He had so much power on that in an easy double, and that's exactly what I thought the Astros needed here in the bottom of the first after allowing a run in the top half of the inning.
Wow! Wanna hit right there? So George Springer, with his 13th extra base hit in his world Siris career, that's the most all time by a leadoff hitter.
Yeah. Wow is right.
I was not expecting that, Especially first pitch.
So up comes Jose Altuve eight.
The number two hitter we go.
And now they're suddenly a bowl of energy from the crowd this picture than the dirt.
It gets away from gums. Over.
The third goes Springer and the Astros are 90 feet away from tying up this game.
Just two pitches in for Stephen Strasburg.
How about that? Wow.
Yeah, that one was a slider.
You could argue that Gomez could have done better with it, but still a wild pitch nonetheless.
All right, so a man on third, that would be George Springer.
Pitching needs help right now.
Now the 10 it's downstairs for ball, too.
Yes, the pitching does need help right now.
You're absolutely right.
Jose Altuve in the World Series of 360 average, no home runs.
No R B I, though in the postseason.
Batting 3 53 He's been awesome all post season long, kind of surprised he doesn't have a home run or an R B I at this world, Siris.
Especially with such a good batting average.
But that shows you how good of a base hit her. He is.
So now the 20 That's one of my all to bay into left field at the warning track and soil makes the grab and tagging up a Springer sprinting in the home.
And he is safe on the slide.
And the Astros have tied this game up.
That one apiece and man made park is rocking here.
How about that? Thanks for the tip, Lexie.
I appreciate it a lot.
Thank you so much.
Hope you're enjoying the broadcasts.
I cover pretty much all sports here on SportsCastr.
And, um, yes, soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, hockey.
I might have missed one, but yeah, I do.
Just about just about everything.
Not everything, but a lot.
So one out bottom of the first.
This game's tied up at 11 and I sacrifice hit by Jose Altuve.
Eyup comes Michael Brantley.
He fouls back the first pitch for strike one.
So Stephen Strasburg on the man for Washington.
As I mentioned his last 12 starts, including the postseason, he's been really good. A six and one record.
A 1 80 90 are 100 2 strikeouts, just 17 walks with an opponent average of 1 90 But that is a rough start for him tonight, so it's a No. One counter.
Brantley, Brantley batting third in the line up.
Paul Menhart is the pitching coach for the Washington Nationals, both pitching coaches.
Really, You got to keep an eye on them because both pitchers not off to the best of starts now the 22 It's called the strike Strike three's out of here.
The first strike out of the night for Strasburg.
A questionable call looked a little bit outside to me, but the liver, the 10 here's the pitch.
It's down in the way again for ball, too.
You so a to account Strasburg looking to rebound from a rough start.
I mean, it was really a double right away, and that's what cost him.
Stephen Strasburg, 65 £235.
31 years old from San Diego.
This is an absolute bomb by pregnant until I feel that goes.
And just that ball goodbye.
It's out of here.
Ah, solo home run from Alex. Pregnant.
The Astros take the lead.
It's a 2 to 1 ballgame.
Bregman with his fourth home run of the postseason.
It was an absolute bombing.
Toe left and Minute Maid Park is shaken.
Well, how about that 355 feet? He got all of that one for sure, and that one was out of here.
How about that from Alex Bregman? He knew it right away.
That ball was out here, notes out.
He watched that one good, but he watched that one get out of the park.
Yeah, I know you're right.
Doesn't another bump into left field by Gloria.
It's going Thio.
It's caught right at the wall by one Sodo, and he's a little shaken up.
Wow! Well, what a dramatic wait to end the first inning.
One of first inning we just had folks.
The Houston Astros leading the Washington National to 21 That one was a deep, deep hit.
Soto at the wall to make the plane.
I know. Yeah, You're right.
You're right. Avery, No doubt. Wow.
So you thought that one run in the first in in the top of the first inning for Washington was a sign of a good start, but the Houston Astros had even a better response.
They put two on the board.
What a catch by soda was right.
He could have just saved some more runs as the Astros lead by one.
We're just threw one inning, folks.
I'll be back for the second after this commercial break.
Don't go anywhere.
It's the World Series here on SportsCastr.
All right, welcome back.
What a dramatic ending to the bottom of the first is right.
What a first inning it really Waas as the Astros lead it 2 to 1.
The second thing we go, the first pitch of the inning is fouled back for strike one.
It's as true it's Asdrubal Cabrera up at bat for Washington's batting 3 57 in this series.
It's an 01 count Bregman with a bomb.
Thio, give the Astros the lead.
Now the 01 This is swung on by Cabrera.
Once again, Breath.
Bregman was passing the his bat over to the first base coach, but a little miscommunication there in the handoff has it was dropped, so it's a no to count.
Here comes the pitch from Verlander that's inside for ball one almost clipped the elbow there of Cabrera.
You couldn't ask for a better start to this game.
A Verlander calms down and gets himself into this game.
We see that sometimes it's just a rough start.
Rough first inning.
But then, after that absolute domination, we'll see if that's the case.
Well, how about that in 96 mile an hour, fastball slinging honest by Cabrera, It's the first strike out of the night for Verlander, one down in the top of the second.
That is his elite pitch.
Absolutely no doubt about that.
So one down in the second up comes Ryan Zimmerman.
So Zimmerman up that bad.
He's batting to 22 in the world, Siris with one home run.
Here's the pitch from Verlander, and that's a strike on the edge of the zone.
Thanks so much everyone for joining me on the stream here on SportsCastr Hope you're enjoying the broadcast.
The Astros can win the World Series tonight or the Nationals can win and we have a Game seven tomorrow night.
Here's the 01 It's outside the zone for ball one, so it's a 11 count.
Verlander, taking a few deep breaths waiting for the right sign from Torino, sees what he likes delivers the pitch.
This is into left field.
Zimmerman hits it.
Brantley backing up at the wall.
He makes the catch at the warning track that one hit to the deepest part of the ballpark, and he makes the play for out number 22 up, two down here in the second.
You all right? So the number eight hitter we go in robots.
The umpires for tonight.
Sam Holbrook is at home plate.
Jim Wolf on first, Doug Eddings at second, Gary Cedar Storm, the crew chief at third, James Hoyt and left field Lance Barksdale in right field.
The replay official tonight is Alan Porter.
All right, here's the pitch from Verlander.
It's upstairs for ball one.
So one who knows the Count Victor Robots in the world syriza 1 76 average. No home runs.
He's batting to 42 in the postseason now the 10 pitch, and it's just a little bit high for ball, too.
So 2 to 1, the Astros lead here in the top half of the second inning, all three runs coming in the first.
Now the picture of the plates swing and a miss for Strike one.
So Verlander got him swinging there.
What great pitch there? Yes, it was a little bit high, but with the mixture of the fastball on the slider, he got him swinging.
And that's another nice pitch.
Another swing and a miss. Same results.
So it goes from a to account to, ah, to to count, and the fans are now on their feet.
They want him to complete the 123 inning, a dominant second inning so far.
Kenny, cap it off with a strikeout.
Here's the pitch to the plate, and you got him swing in 96 violent hour fastball.
Absolute heat given Robot has no chance at all in the Astros leader to toe one.
We head to the bottom of the second Verlander with a nice ending.
I'll be back after this commercial break, Joe go anywhere.
It's World Series game.
Six year on SportsCastr.
Thanks for tuning in.
All right, I'm back here.
You're on Alvarez in his World Series Game five.
Clutch it while his home run was 106.
4 miles an hour.
5 and there's double 106.9.
In other words, he's got power on his hits.
He really does, no matter what.
The result is your Don Alvarez betting.
5 45 this world siris one home run.
Two R B I betting 2 50 in the postseason.
Yeah, he's been on fire this world Siris really six for 11 that pitch in there for strike one.
He doesn't have as many at bats than most of his teammates because he is the designated hitter.
So when they were in Washington, they had to go by National League rules, where there was no d h, so nothing came in as a pinch hitter in most of those games, I can't recall all three of them, but here's the 01 He swings at it down the first base line, and that will be corralled by Cabrera and to Zimmerman in time for out number one.
So one down in the bottom of the second, the Houston Astros leading the Washington Nationals by a score of 2 to 1 beautiful night in Houston, Texas, by the way, although the stadium is indoors, so the weather doesn't really matter.
But it's pretty much always nice down in Texas.
Someone say it gets too hot in the summer.
I tend to agree, but you know, in at this time of year, it's beautiful.
Carlos Correa in the world.
Siris, batting, 1 58 He's now a bat bat in the seven spot in the first pitch from Strasbourg, just a bit below the zone for ball one.
So one know the Count Strasburg winding up.
What is going on? Michael, Welcome into the broadcast that is in there for Strike one.
The count now even thank you for joining the broadcast here on SportsCastr Michael I.
It's Game six of the World Siris Houston leading the series 3 to 2 and leading this game by a score of 2 to 1.
Thanks for the tip as well.
I appreciate that, Michael.
Now the 11 pitch from Strasbourg to Korea.
Korea Go swinging, takes a hop.
Brendan is their zips it across the diamond to Ryan Zimmerman in time for out number two.
So two up, two down here in the second inning.
Here is the Houston Astros batting order for you.
George Trigger Jose Altuve.
Michael Brantly In the middle of the order.
It is Alex Bregman, Uly Gourriel in your Don Alvarez and then rounding out the order for the Houston Astros.
It is Carlos Korea, Robinson, Cherie Nose and Josh Red****.
So that's what the Astros offenses looking like in tonight's match up against the Nationals.
So two outs in the bottom of the second wth e, the Astros had a 123 inning in the top half of the inning, the Nationals looking to the same in the bottom half, and that pitch is outside for ball one.
So it's Robinson Cherie nose up at bat.
He's has a 3 64 average in the world.
Siris two home runs.
I just batting oney, too, though in the whole postseason, he is batting eighth in the lineup tonight.
Now the 10 pitch to the plate from Stephen Strasburg.
That is swung on.
And that will take a few hops.
Turner is there.
Makes the play over to Zimmerman at first for out number three.
Thanks, Micah, for joining the broadcast.
What is going on? I'm going to step aside for a second.
As we're now through two innings, the Astros lead it to the one.
It is the World Series here on SportsCastr.
I'll be back for more in a minute.
Don't go anywhere.
Thanks for tuning in.
Welcome back, Everybody to the third inning league. Oh, no.
I know, Michael, you're a Yankees fan, so I'm 95% sure you're rooting for the Nationals to win this.
I hate the Yankees, and I don't like the Astros, so I'm pulling for the Nationals.
But this could be I mean, they won the 1st 2 games in Houston and then lost the next three at home.
I mean, they just choked the series.
Unless, of course, they ended up coming back here and winning it.
Hinch, in his fifth season as the Astros manager.
Houston, What has 100 plus winds in there in three consecutive seasons.
Now they're just one of six teams all time to do that.
Oh, no. One count in the third inning.
Now here's the pitch to the plate.
Gom swings at it.
It's a roller into Al Tube et al to ve over to Gourriel in time for the first out of the inning.
So one up, one down here in the top of the third after a really entertaining, offensive filled first inning second inning was all business on the defensive side of things.
We'll see how the third inning goes so far. Same story.
So we go back to the top of the order for the Nationals, by the way.
So Trey Turner, up at bat he's one for one, had that double eventually scored in a run for Washington.
Now the pitch from Verlander.
It's upstairs for ball one or start trade.
Turn around a single in the first and the run.
I was thinking of Springer that will be a pop up into centerfield.
Springer is there to make the play.
So two down now.
In the third, up comes Adam Eaton, just salata meeting comes up to bat.
Verlander, now 35 pitches, a very business like second and third inning thus far as the Astros lead it to the one all three runs scored in the first.
And here comes the first pitch to Eaton, who had a sacrifice bunt.
First time up at bat.
And now time is called.
So eaten steps out of the batter's box, some booze now running down from Minute Maid Park.
Now he steps back into the box, ready to the pitch for the pitch, I should say in Verlander delivers its in there for strike one.
So finally, the first pitch of the at bat is delivered at last, and it is in there for strike one.
So one the Count Nationals down by a run.
Here's the picture of the plate.
It's down low for ball one.
So the count's even at a meeting.
Yeah, I just mentioned Sacrifice bunt first time up, and you know this crowd that minute Maid Park.
They know that this could be a really special moment tonight.
If their team where the wind tonight and win the World Series, this will be fouled off.
So one to the count.
The ball boy goes running out for that one as it made its way out right field down in the corner.
Reminder. Thursday Night Football.
It's the 40 Niners taking on the card Cardinals at eight, Eastern time, five Pacific time.
I will be commentating that one right here on SportsCastrs, so make sure you check it out in two days time, all right, it's a one to count.
Verlander can complete another 123 inning.
Here is the pitch, and that's fouled off.
Well, yeah, I imagine how crazy this crowd will go if the Astros do win it tonight or tomorrow night.
They'd like to win it tonight and not have to stress over a Game seven.
But, of course, it won't be easy against the Nationals team that know their season is on the line.
Anthony Rend Joan is on deck.
Will he be up this inning, or will he have to wait till the fourth? It's a question that will be answered very soon.
So still a one to count.
Another pitch coming from Verlander right here to Adam Eaton.
Verlander, winding up, delivers the pitch.
It's in the dirt.
So to two now account the inning not quite over yet.
Thanks so much everyone for joining the broadcast here on SportsCastr.
It's hard to believe that the MLB season will be over either tonight or tomorrow, but it is the case.
We, of course, still got NHL N B A in NFL going on along with MLS playoffs.
So you know it will be.
It will be, Ah, a little sad that I'm lb will come to an end, but we still got all of the other major sports going on.
That pitch, by the way, was high by just a bit.
It's now a full count.
It was close, but I believe the right call by the home plate umpire we'll still have no shortage of sports here on SportsCastr to cover you with that pitches eyes so over.
The first goes eaten.
That's the first walk of the game for either Verlander or Strasburg tonight, and up comes Anthony Rend own, so Eaton's on 1st 2 outs in the inning.
Anthony Rend own one for one, had an R B I single in the first inning, but I'll be covering MLS playoffs NHL N B A NFL, as I have been doing here on SportsCastr the whole fall into the winter.
So it will be fun.
It will be fun for sure.
All right, Two outs.
Verlander takes a glance over at first throws.
It's a first Back in time is eaten.
Making the dive back to first.
See, I eaten with the lead there.
I will say Look like at first he was gonna dive in with his left hand, but quickly went over to his right, knowing that that would get him back in time.
Quickly or quicker, I should say Watch out. Four.
Riendeau NW Gurriel.
The first baseman Alps who made the second baseman.
Korea had shortstop Bregman at third.
That's how the infield looks for the Astros.
No shift on here.
This pitch out of the zone for ball one.
So finally the pitch thrown and it is a ball.
Alright, here we go.
Verlander with one eye over at first, eaten.
Looking for that chance toe.
Take off for a second.
This pitch called a strike, got the outside part of the zone and it's now even counted one and one.
Everyone who joined me tonight on the stream here on SportsCastr.
I greatly appreciate it.
Hope you're enjoying the broadcast.
Hope you're having a great Tuesday Night World Series Game six.
Nothing better than that.
On a Tuesday night, of course, we got MLS playoffs at 10 o'clock.
That would have been a fun game to commentate, but the thing is, it's too late.
If it was the weekend that would have compensated that game between the Seattle Sounders in L A f c.
The Western Conference final for the MLS playoffs.
It's a great night all around now.
Here's the pitch from Justin Verlander that swung on and that's fell back by Ren Doan.
A ball and two strikes. Uh, excuse me.
Yeah. Ball And two strikes now.
So, Verlander, a strike away from retiring the side here in the top half of the third in it.
Can you do it? We'll have to wait and see.
The crowd definitely wants him to.
Ah, deliver the strike out here.
Eaten still on first base for Washington.
With that lead to the one, the Astros lied in this game.
Now the pitch from Verlander it's down low for ball, too.
So two and two on deck for Washington.
So does on deck.
He'll be up next.
We'll see if he gets a chance to go up in this Ah, third inning.
Or if you'll have to wait his turn a little while longer until the fourth.
Alright, here we go.
Another chance for the strike out from Vert for Verlander to two.
He'll throw it over the first.
That tag is not on time.
So Verlander very focused.
First base, looking at Eton, leading even, Definitely could look to steal.
It's fouled back by Riendeau known, and he stays alive.
So this game started at a little past 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Now, a little under an hour into this one.
Top of the 30 thing.
The fans on their feet.
Can Verlander deliver the strikeout? He takes a glance over at first, the ball behind his back.
The Astros lead it over the Nationals in Game six of the World Siris.
Now here's the pitch.
It's pop tie up into the air that will be fell back and still to into.
So this at bat rolls on a very lengthy wants to say the least so records this season, including the postseason.
While before May 24th the Nationals were 19 and 31 the Astros were 33 18.
Since then, both teams.
Both teams have gone 80 four and 38.
How about that, stat? And that's a ball.
So it's now a full count.
Well, how about this? So it's a full count as Wren Dona Justice batting gloves.
This at bat here.
Seven pitches thus far, a great battle here between Rend Own and Verlander.
What will Verlander deliver here on the 32 pitch? It's a big pitch in the overall scheme of things this inning.
Anyways, here's a delivery.
It's foul back, 96 mile an hour.
Pitch that time and Verlander will do it all again.
Still, the same count.
Three and two eaten still on first, a great battle here between pitcher and Heather.
So here we go, Verlander to deliver another pitch.
Eating takes off that pitch fouled back, so Renzo not making it easy by any means for Verlander.
Saturday at noon, it's Nebraska, taking on Purdue, then at four Eastern time It's number nine Utah taking on Washington that at eight.
Eastern Science number seven Oregon taking on us.
See a lot of great college football games in that triple header on Saturday.
All right, here's the delivery.
It's outside in by a just a little bit from Verlander, and he walks into the ren.
Don't rend own heads to first eaten over the second in.
The Nationals have two men on here in the top of the third.
What looked like to be an easy inning for Verlander at first quick two outs looks like it would be a 123 inning.
But he walks now, too.
Consecutive batters and now the Nationals, possibly in business.
Up comes one Soto, whose over one he had a fly out first time up in the first inning.
We'll look to improve upon that second time up.
So Verlander, up to 52 pitches and refresh the count.
Whole new batter.
Now he needs to face after that long, long battle between him and Rend own that he ultimately lost.
This will be swung on right away, and it's fouled back, so no one count Verlander taking a lot of time in between pitches, So Riendeau now is reading at first eaten, doing the same over at second.
And now here comes the Owen pitch.
Verlander takes a glance over at second base, now the pitch to the plate in its outside for ball one.
So the Washington Nationals, with runners in scoring position, the Siri's I mentioned it earlier in Games one and two.
They were seven for 21 games three for three through five.
They were one for 21 tonight.
There one for one.
Can they keep that perfect and making two for two? We will have to wait and see here.
It's a 11 count to one soda.
They're trying to get out of a jam here.
It's in there for Strike two.
That was a nice pitch there from Justin Verlander.
Didn't have the speed, but it had the accuracy for sure.
A nice breaking ball there.
So one to count.
Convert Lander and the inning here.
He's had multiple chances to do so.
Will this be the time he will finally execute? He looks back at second.
So does still getting ready to get back into the batter's box Now he's in one stance.
He has went out that bad, by the way his legs were so far apart.
It's something you don't see too often, and he swings at this one.
It takes a weird hop to out to everybody handled it just fine, and he tosses it over in a gory Alysia, too.
And the inning and retire the side.
So Verlander walks two batters.
No problem in the end, Still to the one Astros we head to the bottom of the third after this commercial break.
Don't go anywhere each World Series game.
Six year on SportsCastr Houston, up to the one here in the third inning.
All right, well, let's head to the bottom of the third.
How does that sound? Well, that's where we're at in this game to toe one.
The Astros lead it in Game six of the World Siris.
It's Verlander against Strasburg tonight.
Thanks so much for joining me, and I started comparison for you. Strasbourg. So far.
Two innings pitched, having two hits, two runs, no walks, one strikeout, 20 pitches.
Justin Verlander, three innings, allowing two hits, one run to walks, two strikeouts in 56 pitches.
Any number three.
The first pitch from Verlander right down the middle for strike one.
For the Astros, it is Josh Red**** who's banning 1 11 This world siris. One for nine.
He is the number nine hitter in the lineup for Houston.
Now comes the 01 pitch.
Oh, my, you could hear the umpire, he said. It was inside.
I don't know about that.
Looks like a strike to me.
But ultimately, the empire has the decision.
He says it was a ball 11 the count instead of 02 Here's the pitch, and that's popped up.
Foul back by Red****.
Want to now the count? All right, so the ship definitely on over.
So the right side ran down the third baseman, playing more like the shortstop Turner of the shortstop, playing more like a second baseman and in Cabrera in between first and second.
Now the one to and that's outside.
So the count's back.
Even on deck for the Astros, it's George Springer, so he's up next back to the order, second time through for the Astros after this.
But here comes the pitch from Strasbourg, and that's fell back.
So Red****, making contact with that one, stays alive in the at bat.
Strasburg, 25 pitches so far tonight at a good pace.
So you can keep that pace up, though.
So all of the runs in this one so far coming back in the first inning, a school of second in a scoreless third thus far.
That could change, though, the two to swing and a miss by a heretic strikeout number two of the night for Stephen Strasburg.
So one out in the bottom of the third up comes George Springer.
What a nasty pitch that was from Strasbourg.
It ended up being in the dark, but Eagle Red**** fooled on that one.
So one down in the third.
And here comes George Springer.
We all know what he did first time up, one for one with a double in the first, also scoring in a run for Houston.
Here's the pitch in.
That's a strike bottom of the zone that time from Strasbourg.
A pretty nice pitch.
And so George Springer, in his world serious career.
He has seven home runs from the leadoff spot.
That's the most in World Series history.
Five straight games with the homerun.
That's an MLB record in 8 96 slugging percentage.
That's the highest of all time, and also he was a 2017 slugging N V P slugging percentage.
Yes, so this guy can really produce offensively.
It's truly remarkable when he can do, and he's shown it once again this year.
Back in the world. Siris.
Now comes the 11 pitch from Strasbourg winding up to deliver.
Here it is, and that's a strike.
So one and two we go.
Nice change up there from Stephen Strasburg.
So Strasburg, taking a breath, waiting for the sign, and he gets what he likes now from gums.
Here's the pitch to the plate.
It's down low for ball to Springer thought about swinging but held up.
No doubt about that one.
The first base umpire just clarifying that he didn't go.
So it's now a two to count.
Sorry, guys, I'm already getting tired.
Alright, here we go.
One out bought with the third inning.
No men on base, the two to the Springer, and it's outside in a way for ball three.
So it's a full count.
Big pitch coming up right here on deck for Houston.
It's Jose all too big.
We all know what he could do no matter what cir***stance you put him in.
Really? So we'll see what Strasburg does here.
Will he go with the changeup for one long time in between pitches here and finally it comes and it swung on down the third baseline.
Riendeau Nas their zips.
It overto Zimmerman in time for the out, two down in the third.
So one more out to go here in the third inning.
Excuse me, and we will be 1/3 through this game.
So up comes Jose Altuve being the number two hitter.
Second time through the lineup here for Houston.
Jose Altuve A in his first plate appearance of the sacrifice fly, which also was an r B I.
So all to Baia Justice gloves into the batter's box egos lock in mode.
He's ready Strasbourg to deliver the first pitch of the sad bet.
And here it comes.
That's pop tie up into the air and foul for strike one once again.
Saturday, it's number seven Oregon taken on USC at eight Eastern time.
What an entertaining college football game that should be in the Pac 12.
One count here now.
The pitch to all to bay and it's inside.
Well to be, had to jump out of the way there.
The count's even at 11 so all to bay will take time here now Ready.
Strasburg waiting for gums. Tow.
Give him the sign he wants ready to deliver the pitch here.
The 11 and it's popped in the air by all to base.
Should be in the easy out.
Cabrera calling for it, and he makes the play.
So Ah, 123 inning for the Nationals to the one, though the Astros lead it due up for Washington.
Kendrick, Cabrera and Zimmerman.
Three things down, six.
To go or more. Here on SportsCastr.
It's the MLB playoffs.
World Series Game six.
Don't go anywhere.
Maur Coming your way after this commercial break.
Welcome back to live commentary of the 2019 world Siris. It's Game six.
Kendrick goes swinging at the first pitch.
It's fouled back for strike one.
So we're now in the fourth inning.
Howie Kendrick over one with a pop out in the first.
So much for joining me tonight. Here on SportsCastr.
Here is the old one.
Kendrick swings at it and it's just fouled.
Have 1/3 base line just a little bit left of third base, you know to count now pitch count already at 58 for Verlander.
Keeping eye on that.
Now the 02 from Verlander.
It's outside for ball one.
The Nationals know they need to get going here, their season on the line, down by a run.
If they lose, it's over and the Astros will win the World Series.
A lot of ball game to go.
This is swung on by Kendrick and that will drop down in shallow left center field for a base it.
So that's not a bad way to start the inning.
If you're the Nationals Kendrick with a single out to left center field and the man on first, no outs in the top of the fourth inning.
Beautiful night in Houston, Texas down south, 2 to 1.
The score on the Astros lead it up.
Now comes Asdrubal Cabrera.
Cabrera, who's over one tonight, struck out in the second Berliner at 60 pitches, No outs.
Men on first for Washington, down by a run.
What can Cabrera do here? The leading run at the plate? Here's the pitch.
It's up high for ball one.
Verlander will take some sign.
A glance over the first back to his catcher, Torino's ball into his glove, ready to deliver the 10 here it is.
And that's a ball inside and up high to of the count.
Everyone who joined the broadcast tonight on SportsCastr.
I greatly appreciate hope you enjoy.
If you do enjoy it.
Make sure you just tell your friends whoever about it and, uh, to check me out if you enjoy it.
If you don't, it's all right.
I won't be offended, but I appreciate everyone who stopped by.
This will be a swing, and that is a bullet line drive foul.
Cabrera had the power.
They're just not quite the accuracy.
The most world Siris starts without a win.
Justin Verlander seven starts and Owen five record 5 73 e r A.
There's two others.
Veena Blue five starts.
Oh, in three record for a five e R A in Don Newcombe.
Oh, in four record 8 59 Jari those two from way back in the day.
Lander finally end that streak at bad streak.
Now the 21 It's popped high up by Cabrera in the way of Serena's theory, us to get out of the way.
Torino's trying to make the plane foul territory, and he does just that.
He makes the catch one down in the fourth.
That's a nice first out to the inning for Ah, Justin Verlander in the Houston Astros over at first still is Howie Kendrick.
And now up comes Ryan Zimmerman, the number seven hitter in the Washington line up.
New. Hit her up.
It's Game six of the world Siris here on SportsCastr.
I'm Samuel Reese.
Come and chill alive.
Why broadcast? No lag Just about 1/2 2nd If that.
It's not like YouTube, where it's a 30 to 62nd delay where it it's not really useful for play by play.
It's no no delay at all.
As I'm talking, you're hearing it right away, which is great about SportsCastr, so you can have the game on on your TV and listen to my commentary.
Hopefully right in.
Now the old one.
It's a swing and a miss for strike two.
So Justin Verlander in the 20 and 2017 World Series.
He went six innings, allowing three hits, two runs, had no walks and nine strikeouts.
It's now Game six of the World, Siris.
Two years later, we'll see how he does this time through.
Of course, the Astros ended up winning that world Siris in seven games.
They would go back the next day to beat the Dodgers, now the 02 and it's in the dirt for ball one.
I'm getting tired here.
So on deck for the Nationals, it's Victor Robe was first, though.
We gotta take care of things with Ryan Zimmerman.
It's a one to count to him over.
At first, it's Howie Kendrick.
Now the pitch to the plate, it's in the dark gets away from Torino's, but in front of him, luckily, and no way Kendrick was gonna risk going over the first.
So Justin Verlander's career accomplishments he has a lot of them.
Rookie of the year. Cy Young winner.
Most Valuable Player.
20 game winner, 300 strikeouts.
A world champion but still doesn't have a World Series win.
That's probably the one final thing that he hasn't accomplished in his career.
He's done just about everything possible except win a World Series game.
He can change that tonight.
Justin Verlander in his career with Houston, including the postseason.
87 games, 86 starts, 49 20 record in that span, a 2 58 year, A 723 strikeouts.
An absolute legend in those stats right there. Just tell you everything.
So it's you and two counts of Ryan.
Zimmerman will see what he delivers here on the pitch.
Kendrick leading over at first.
Now the delivery.
It's upstairs for ball three.
So now a full count.
So it's now a full count to Ryan Zimmerman, Zimmerman and deep breath.
This could be the inning for Well, excuse me for Washington, where they can really, uh, try to get that run to tie it up.
At least this one will be fouled off by Zimmerman.
If Zimmerman can get on base here.
Then the Nationals are really talking.
Still one out that I'd have to men the U one pitches coming.
The Nationals, with two men on Verlander, takes a look over the second before delivering the pitch.
Now here is the pitch.
It's a swing and a miss for strike.
Two second out here for Verlander would be huge.
Could really change the narrative of this inning.
The fans them on their feet.
They want to strike out.
Can Verlander deliver the picture of the plate? It's downloaded.
He go? Yes, he did, says the first base umpire.
Well, I think the home plate umpire, in fact, just called himself.
He's out another strikeout for Verlander as rural Blaze goes to the dugout empty handed.
That's a big second out to the inning for Houston.
Let's see on the replay here.
Yeah, he seemed to go.
Yep, that that just barely it was close, but it seemed to go by the plate.
So two down in the fourth up comes the nine hitter yen go mes still men on first and second for Washington, but a whole.
Another story with that second out recorded by Verlander So, Verlander.
One eye on second.
When there is a man on second, this is a down the line.
It's pretty hard hit.
This will go that it's a caught while it was caught at the wall.
How about that? Play out and left by Michael Bradley.
Thanks Grant for joined the broadcast.
I couldn't really tell, but Bradley did make the catch at the wall.
Way deep into the left field corner.
It's middle of the fourth inning.
Astros up to the one.
They have a chance to win the World Series tonight.
I'll be back after this commercial break.
Don't go anywhere.
It's the World Series Game six, right here on SportsCastr.
Thanks for joining me tonight.
All right, What is going on? Everybody to the bottom of the fourth week.
Oh, thanks so much Grant for stopping by here on SportsCastr.
This will most likely be my last inning.
Maybe I'll do top of the fifth, depending on how fast this Ah, Bottom half of the fourth inning goes.
Back for strike one.
Oh, for one with a strikeout in the first inning.
Thanks. Yep. I appreciate it, Grant.
Hope you're having a, uh, great Tuesday.
I actually had 1/2 day today and tomorrow.
Yeah, it's kind of random, but I have half day for school today and tomorrow because there's a teacher parent teacher conferences on the other half of the day.
Mike Rizzo, the general manager and president of baseball operations for the nationals, is in attendance.
You have 1/2 day Wednesday to Yep, that's right.
You have one every other Wednesday.
Uh, yeah, Same with me.
This time we don't usually, but we do.
This week, today and tomorrow and that's a slow roller are actually not a slow roller.
But it was a roller into the love of Zimmerman.
And he took a jog, stepped on the bag for the, um How about Bregman? First time up in an absolute bomb into left field? That ball went way high up there, Edward, Glossy of 94.
8 miles an hour.
The launch angle 35 degrees.
And it went 355 feet.
Bottom of the fourth Bregman.
Now up again, Strasburg on the man for the nationals.
Here's the pitch.
Oh, that was, well inside.
Almost hit Bregman.
Not quite Ball. One.
Alex Bregman, of course. Five.
Career world Siris home runs that that's the That's the most by 1/3 ba*****t all time.
That's very impressive.
Now the 10 and that's in there for strike one.
So a nice pitch there from Strasbourg that can't now, even after a very entertaining first inning, where, you know all three runs were scored.
For what? Houston? One for Washington.
It's calmed down since then that both pictures, after a little bit of a shaky start, have calmed down and played the game more like we were used to.
This has popped high up into the air, calling for the Zimmerman in the infield, and he makes the catch for out number two.
So no problem there.
Easy out for Washington.
And up now comes Uly Gurriel.
Yeah, in that home run from Bregman earlier, he was handing it off to the first base coach, but it was just dropped in the hand off.
There ended up being quite awkward, actually, that pitch from Strasbourg in the dirt for ball one.
So it's Uly Gauri l a pet bat.
He's over one a fly out in the first.
Any games on tomorrow? Outside of maybe Game seven? Um, if there wasn't a Game seven, there is the Eastern Conference final for MLS playoffs, actually, um, Toronto FC against Atlanta United.
It should be a good one.
So, yeah, if there isn't a Game seven, I commentate that one.
The Western Conference finals.
Actually, tonight just not till 10 o'clock, cause it's out west L A F C against Seattle Sounders.
The Western Conference finals tonight in the Eastern Conference finals Tomorrow night for the MLS playoffs.
One game elimination.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that.
There better be a good NHL came tomorrow, I guess.
Yeah, hopefully, yeah.
The Bruins up 5 to 1.
That game coming to an end, there might be a minute or so left.
I was just checking in on it.
Looks like there's still a minute or so left, but yeah, the Bruins looking good.
The shark's not so much.
They are struggling to start the year now.
The 21 it's outside for ball three.
You have done that game if you didn't have a quiz.
Yeah, Yeah, I understand.
School always a priority.
Unfortunately, I wish I wish sports was a priority.
But, oh, well, on deck is Alvarez.
It's a 31 count.
Yeah, since I had 1/2 day, it was pretty good for me because I got to get all my homework done and studying in the afternoon.
And I had, you know, I was done with that by, like, three, and I had all the rest of the day just kind of hang out and stuff, and that's a ball.
So it's a lock over.
The first goes Uly Gauri l know.
123 inning this time w W E Friday Night Smackdown.
Fridays at eight, Eastern time.
Seven. Central time.
It's back on Fox.
I actually check that out a couple Fridays ago.
It's kind of a drama show and stuff.
Not really my thing, but yeah, W W is Mary.
It's like it's all scripted and stuff, and I don't know.
I just don't find much entertainment in that.
I checked it out the other week for, like, five minutes, but then turned it back to whatever.
I was watching baseball. Probably.
You're Don Alvarez, now, a bat bat. Oh, for one tonight.
The first pitch.
Strasburg wanted the strike, but it's called a ball just a bit inside.
Perhaps rising tide got a flag football team, and you're the only 10th grade on a team so far.
At least you got a flag.
Yeah, that's good news.
So it's a one account.
What? Here comes the pitch from Strasbourg, and that's down low for ball, too.
And, you know, Yeah, and the Celtics are playing the Bucks tomorrow night, too, so that will be a good one.
I I, um I think my I think I'll be commentating the Celtics on I still don't know what I'm doing my first Celtics game.
I was gonna do it on Friday against the Knicks, but I'm doing my high school's football game state tournament.
So that's the problem.
I might be able to do the fourth quarter or something.
By some miracle, I don't make the team. You'll be a commentator.
You always have that backup plan.
Three and other count on deck is Carlos Korea, and suddenly this not becoming a not becoming such a smooth inning for Strasburg.
It looked like it would be at first, but very much so.
30 count the pitch coming.
Tow your Don Alvarez, the designated hitter.
Here's the pitch of the plate.
It's inside for ball four and off to first goes Alvarez.
Off to second goes Gourriel and two men on for the Astros in Strasbourg.
Taking fault for on himself there.
You may do a Celtics or Blazers game soon. Nice.
Yeah, I know NBA's not your thing, but, you know, I definitely check you out for that.
No doubt, Carlos Korea, over one with a ground out in the second.
Nationals may be done.
If this is a homer, you could be absolutely right about that.
Yeah, this is a home run.
The Nationals are in deep trouble.
Stephen Strasburg's pitch count by inning.
Like those 13 7 15 now, 15 for a total of 50 on the dot.
So far? Yeah, I'm trying to do a Celtics game soon.
Same as the Bruins.
I might be able to do the Bruins this weekend.
I'll really know.
Yeah, it depends.
My schedule for my high school teams.
That's inside for Ball one.
It's so hard because I put playoffs is a priority.
So MLB and MLS right now, you guys haven't had a chance to new Bruins or Celtics yet.
I want to do them really badly.
I'll be doing plenty of them, especially as the MLB playoffs come to an end, either today or tomorrow, and then the MLS playoffs after tomorrow night will be one game left MLS Cup In about a week and 1/2 time, that will be pretty much it.
So it's a two account now.
Stephen Strasburg This postseason, this 1st 4 starts starts 28 innings pitched two walks tonight, three and 2/3 innings pitched, two walks.
So he's equal that amount in just two and 2/3 innings after going 28 innings before this with just two walks.
Yes, I'm with you on that.
I'll get to you.
I'll get to that in a second to account.
Here's the pitch from Strasbourg.
It's a swing and a miss from Korea.
Now we're pitched there from Strasbourg for strike one.
You're so busy this weekend, so you don't think you can make one this weekend and the Jags around 9 30 Sunday. Yep.
I love the one than games as well.
You get NFL at 9 30 in the morning.
How couldn't you love that? You get You know it's good enough with the games from one o'clock toe 11 30.
But it's even better when you're you're, ah, NFL.
Sunday starts even earlier than that, right? When you wake up to when you go to bed, that's awesome.
I know that's in there for Strike two.
I wish there were London Games every weekend.
I know that's a two, so that's a two to count.
Now I'm with you on that.
They didn't have four London games this season, but only two of them were at 9:30 a.m.
The other two were at one PM, so they were along with one o'clock games.
So they weren't really as good because you know it's special when they're by themselves early in the morning because England's five hours ahead.
So that's why they are edible.
Eastern time, it's a swing and a miss from Korea that ends the inning.
When do I want? When you want to do your football team, But you be behind busy, big riff.
I know, right? I know.
Bears and writers was one of them. Yep.
And then, uh, Rams bangles was just one of them at the weekend.
All right, that will do it for my broadcast.
I got to get ready for bed because I do have school tomorrow.
It is 1/2 day, which I'm glad about.
Same for you, Grant.
So hopefully you can enjoy your half day, and I will as well.
Blake should start. Ella. Well, that's a great weight.
And the broadcast right there. There we go.
We'll see if he does.
I doubt it, but you never know.
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it, man.
And the once again concluding the broadcast here.
I'm Samuel Reese here on SportsCastr the Astros.
Up to the one on the nationals here in the heading to the fifth inning.
Enjoy the rest of your night.
Enjoy the rest of this game.
The MLB season could be over after tonight.
We'll have to wait and see if there's a Game seven I'll be on for that tomorrow.
If there's not, I'll be on for the MLS playoffs.
Eastern Conference Final.
See you next time.
Have a great night in Enjoy your Wednesday tomorrow as well.
