Welcome back, everyone to the sports this year in SportsCastr So Weeks.
Seven of the NFL season is in the books now, as every week on Wednesday.
Here I go through my top surprises of the week.
I have my top 20 surprises of NFL for the week seven seasons.
So we just wrapped up with Week seven.
Monday Night Football, the Patriots crushing the Jets.
I'll go through all my surprises.
Year 20 surprises.
I'll be going through all these in chronological order because I won't be going through them by ranking the surprise, but I'll be going through them from the thirst, and I gave all the way through to the Monday night game in chronological order.
So surprise number one I'm at last year has to be this one.
Patrick Mahomes of Thursday Night Football as he got injured.
Now he is out for at least three weeks because of a stupid Thursday Night football game.
It's just such a bad look for the NFL to with Patrick Mahomes, with his injury in the quarterback sneak out of all places, I had a happen on a Q B sneak on a fort down, just a terrible look for the NFL on Lee.
If the Homes had a few more days, arrest in there was able to play on Sunday probably would have been a different outcome.
He would have been healthy and still would have played the falling week.
But it's just unfortunate.
Huge blow to the NFL here for the league, the chief season? No, it's not lost.
They have a record of five.
And to lead the NFC West, though, things just got a whole lot tougher.
Especially in the next two games, where they take on the top two teams from the NFC North and back to back weeks.
The Green Bay Packers, with Aaron Rodgers on Sunday Night Football and the minister, the Vikings in back to back weeks, says it looks like Matt Moore will be the quarterback for the next few weeks, filling in for Patrick Mahomes for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Number two here for surprising that list has to be Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons.
He now has a sprained ankle.
Matt Ryan guys has not missed a game in over a decade, so Matt Ryan is injured.
This is a huge surprise me.
And now Matt Szabo, who hasn't started a football game in NFL since 2015 will be coming in as the new starter.
And please, I'm not Ryan for the Atlanta Falcons.
So Mao Ryan is heading into this on these matchup.
He hasn't missed a game since December 13 2009 due to a turf toe injury from out Ryan.
So almost a decade there from the last time that he missed the game, do the injury from out Ryan.
Matt Szabo looks solid, filling in for Ryan.
When Ryan was injured, shot went six for 6 65 passing yards in a touchdown pass in that game is still even with how much the offense produces for Delinda Falcons.
The defense will never be able to keep their team into the game.
They'll just joking.
Take the game right away from them.
It's so unfortunate this season for Atlanta, but this looks like that Number three first surprise.
My list is DeVante, a freeman of the Atlanta Falcons throwing punches, toe land, an objection.
So our and Donald not sure if you guys saw the highlights, but he actually picked up till Avanti.
Freeman, like a child in that video.
This is just the frustration of devoted Freeman, leading to the ejection of frustration in general for the Falcon Falcon season with a 16 record.
As we've gone through the 1st 3 Surprise, What's going through the chronological order of surprises? Here we welcome in a Lakers loyal into the jab.
Thank you so much.
We're gonna move on now.
It's a number four surprise on my list at number four.
Is the Miami Dolphins hanging right in there with a Buffalo Bills Miami, Believe it or not, was up at halftime.
They were leading 14 to 9 against Buffalo at halftime.
So this is my number four surprise.
Miami actually had more total yards in the Buffalo Bills, 381 yards total.
305 yards told a white Buffalo but 3 81 by Miami.
Also, Miami had more first downs than Buffalo.
Buffalo only had 17 and the Dolphins possess the ball longer than Buffalo.
33 minutes and 31 seconds by the Dolphins, 26 minutes and 29 seconds by the Bills.
Well, look at those three stat lines.
First downs, total yards and total time of possession with a football.
Why in the world did the Dolphins lose this game? And they actually have fewer penalties than the Bills as well? The reason why why did the Dolphins lose this game was because of this, because they had turnovers to more turnovers in that game, and he also allowed an onside kick toe get fielded in the air.
And Micah Hi took it down the sideline for the touchdown.
So two crucial turnovers by the Dolphins as they lost against the Buffalo Bills, 31 to 21.
The score was 24 to 21 with about three minutes remaining, and then Micah Hyde got the onside kick.
Return for a touchdown.
Number five for surprising My West.
Here is this one wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bangles.
If you don't know his name, his name is Alex Erickson.
He's on my list of surprises, and he was the leading receiver in the game for Cincinnati on Sunday.
Alex Erickson, for the Bangles is a return specialist.
He isn't really known as a wide receivers upon returner in a kick returner, but the lack of weapons this season for the Bangles lead Ericson to be on the field in this game, where he was the number one receiver in receptions on the stat line because of the lack of weapons for the Bangles.
Erickson finished with career highs in this game, eight receptions for 137 yards.
Number six for surprising that last year has to be this one hour and Rogers that quarterback in the Packers having a career game, a game to remember.
Five touchdown passes and also a rushing touchdown in this game by Aaron Rodgers.
Definitely a game to remember by number 12 as these were his numbers.
429 passing yards in a perfect passer rating for Aaron Rodgers against the Oakland Raiders, Rogers spread out the ball to eight different receiver.
Six of those receivers, by the way, had at least one reception for over 20 yards on one play. Aaron Rodgers.
Just what was even more impressive out Rogers in this game has to be desk.
He managed to throw 429 yards and five touchdowns without his number one wide receiver on the team playing because he was hurt.
That was wide receiver Davante Adams.
He did not play because of his injury.
But no matter what, you still have the receiving corps there.
Whoever is stepping up in there, stepping up big time this season for the Packers coming out of nowhere, whether it's Marquez, valets, Scantlin, Geronimo Allison, of course, the all reliable tight end and Jimmy Graham Bob Allen Lazard to the past two weeks.
It's been a season to remember, especially this past week for number 12 for Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers.
And he had Marquez valid scamming on Lee.
Two different passes about as scant Ling.
But they were on the same page, right? There were two deep balls in this game, now moving on to number seven.
Another player who had a great career game a career game to remember by this players.
Well, that would be the former page right now in Indianapolis.
Cool as a quarterback.
Jacoby Brissett Jacoby Burst set was just amazing on Sunday against the Texans.
Four touchdown passes.
He isn't really known as a flamethrower pastor there for Jacoby, but this season he just keeps on getting better and better and better with every single game and thank goodness for him because the door's open because of the Andrew Luck retirement.
That's why Jack Colby Bursa is the starter for the Colts and he had shined this season.
These are his numbers as far as the season, 14 14 touchdown passes and only three interceptions.
He currently ranks fourth in NFL out of all quarterbacks right now, with 14 TD passes now moving on to number eight on my list of surprises, this one goes to the quarterback in the New York Giants.
That's Daniel Jones as he was sacked eight times.
By who? The hours on the Cardinals eight times by the Hours and the Cardinals.
And after that eight sack came on Sunday, the Cardinals now ranked third, and it looks like the 2018 4th round draft pick will have a stiffer challenge this week when he takes on the New Orleans Saints and that stacked rush defense on Sunday, one of the top in NFL.
But that is a good sign there for cheese.
End men's on the hours on the Cardinals as hell be getting the main recipient of the touches.
They're out running back since David Johnson is injured now moving on to my number 10 surprising list.
This has to be this one.
The San Francisco 40 Niners winning against the Washington Redskins by a score of this 9 to 03 field goals in the game by the 40 Niners.
That was it. No touchdowns.
Three field goals did not know that the rain would be a factor, but, yeah, it was a mud pit out there.
Down, pouring, arraigned, touchdown.
No touchdowns whatsoever.
I thought that San Francisco with Crush Washington when I did my game picks last week before this game, but whether in the rain playing a huge factor in that one.
But it's just incredible what the 40 Niners defense has done, limiting quarterbacks the less than 100 passing yards in three straight weeks year.
They allow the 100 passing yards in two picks on Monday Night Football.
A few weeks ago, Week five against Baker Mayfield in the Browns on wheat ***, they only allowed 78 passing yards.
That Jared Goff in the 40 Niners secondary this past Sunday allows 77 passing yards that case Keenum for the Washington Redskins.
Now moving on to my number 11 surprise ****yst.
That's one has to be the San Francisco 40 Niners against the Washington Redskins, the game in general.
This has to be my surprise about that.
The 40 Niners against the Redskins game in general that lasted this amount of time two hours in 36 minutes.
It is the shortest game in this decade that it lasted two hours and 36 minutes between the 40 Niners and the Redskins this past Sunday, according to CBS Sports.
The last game, the run shorter in time than the 40 Niners versus Redskins game, was back in 2009.
That was when the Patriots beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 35 to 7.
San Francisco and Washington Wyatt Rancho Short was because of the plays in this game became rushing plays because the rain just took over and the entire game.
You could not pass the football.
You just had to keep on to you and constant running play after running play after running play, I believe Adrian Peterson rain the football nine street times in a row for the Redskins.
But for both of these teams combined in the game, there were, ah, 103 please total 65 plays in the game.
We're rushing attempts in only 38 passing attempts in this game.
So rushing, basically.
Ah, large scenario here that they had the rushing of something this game, 65 38 almost doubling from rushing the passing.
And that is why this game took so short because each both of the teams just tried to run out the clock in this game.
Now moving on to number 12 surprising list.
This has to be the Chargers.
Using against the Titans is my number 1 12 surprise in the lesson.
The Chargers losing the worst way possible.
A goal line stand by Tennessee at the goal line and Melvin Gordon fumbles.
The football is just terrible for the Chargers are two and five record now, losing to non starting quarterbacks in back to back weeks.
Devil in Hodges against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week six on Sunday Night Football and Ryan Tannehill this past Sunday, the backup quarterback and police and Marcus marry oh that for the rest of the season in a Tennessee Titans spend such a disappointing season for the Chargers and that loss surprising me once again against Tennessee, now moving on to number 13 for Surprise. My list.
This has to be the Saints putting up 36 points against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Can you believe it? The Chicago Bears alone, 36 points than the New Orleans Saints and backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater Wolf.
Drew Brees with the quarterback.
I would have said that 36 points would have been possible for New Orleans to score.
Not with Teddy Bridgewater.
But he had two touchdown passes.
Another stellar game, by the way, For why receiver Michael Thomas, nine receptions for 131 yards as his career season, keeps on rolling right now as he leads the NFL with most of receiving yards now moving on to my number 14.
Surprising the list.
This one has to be locked TV.
Is Murray, the running back from the New Orleans Saints, having a huge game out of the backfield going up against the top 10 team against the run the Chicago Bears, like TV, is Murray is the back of running back to Alvin Kam Air.
But when Alvin Camaro was rolled out on the injury report, when that was we released on Friday, that opened up the door here for Le TVs Murray, and he took full control of it.
He had 100 and 19 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
That is the most rushing yards for Low T v ous Murray in over a year since October 14th 2018 where he had 24 carries for 155 yards when he was a Minnesota Viking when they took on the hours on the Cardinals, moving on to number 15.
On my list of surprises is this one.
Russell Wilson, quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, drawing his first interception the season.
It was not only an interception, but also it was a pick six.
So it was a pick six by Russell Wilson as we like to welcome in B B, black and red here to the sports dish on SportsCastr.
Welcome in just going over to surprises.
Right now, we're to number 15 on the less Russell Wilson, drawing a pick six against Baltimore.
So not only an interception.
It was a pick *** into the hands of markets Peter's market markets.
Peters was acquired by the way this past Tuesday by the Baltimore Ravens from the L.
A Rams, So that was a huge surprise right there.
Russell Wilson's wrong is first in the reception this season, and it wasn't not only an interception, but also a Pick six.
The Baltimore number 16 on my list of surprises from this past week of action had to be a Lamar Jackson completing Onley nine passes in the game.
Lamar Jackson, on Lee, needed to complete nine passes for the Ravens against Seattle, but Baltimore won the game anyway, 30 to 16 because you have to give the Ravens defense credit all day, all round, right on the map to defensive touchdowns, a pick six by markets Peters in the fumble recovery for a touchdown as well, moving on to number 17 unless this one has to be the Dallas Cowboys crushing the Philadelphia Eagles and Sunday Night Football.
This is my number 17 surprise right now, so Philadelphia lost the game from the very to start possessions to quick fumbles deep inside their own territory in the 1st 2 drives.
And it's just a huge shock that Dallas was able to bounce back from their loss against the New York Jets in the week before the NFL is weird, that's for sure.
The egos crossed the Jets a couple weeks ago, but the Jets crushed the Cowboys.
Now, heading into this game, you would think that the Eagles would be the Cowboys.
That's how I predicted it.
I thought we would have been a shootout.
I thought that the Eagles will beat the Cowboys or it would have Allie spent close wasn't even competitive from the Stars.
14 and nothing within like the 1st 67 minutes of the game right there because the 1st 2 drives there fumbles deep in their own territory by Philly.
So you would think that the Eagles will be competitive in this game on? No, that Cowboys destroying Philadelphia on Sunday night is that is my number 17 surprise on the list.
Moving onto my number 18 surprise.
This one is the outcome on Monday Night Football, the Patriots versus the Jets that thio the spread of that game was set as the Patriots favor by 10.
While the Patriots covered the spread, they won, 33 to nothing with a shutout, will go over Sam Darnold right after this for my number nine teen surprise, but still in 18 just the outcome in general of the Peaches versus the Jet scheme.
I had predicted it to be a little bit closer.
If you throw in the history there, where the Patriots and how they've done the past few years at MetLife Stadium against the Jets, they've struggled in the past, no matter what the record is by the Jets.
Somehow, some way, they always seem to keep it close against the Patriots and MetLife Stadium.
But that was not the case, even though the Patriots have also struggled historically on Monday Night Football.
Not the keys, though.
Monday night 33 except the final.
That brings me to number 19 1st Surprising mentalist hands this one on, Man.
I feel bad for the dude I really do that, surprised at number 19 goes out to Sam Darnold, seeing quote ghost unquote on the field, seeing ghosts on the field by Sam Darnold against the Patriots.
So Sam Darnold had two touchdown passes the week before against the Dallas Cowboys, and then he goes on to the field.
The Jets and all their fans were all pumped up about this game.
They thought that they had their quarterback back after he called mono.
For the first month, they thought that the Jets were back, that they could compete with the Patriots and take them down.
But nope, it led off to this Onley tohave Sam Journal, drove off his back foot multiple times in the game.
You got picked off four times by the Patriots defense and also lost.
The fumbles won't on Lee.
To make matters worse, NFL films cut out a clip that ESPN aired.
And it is this ESPN aired equipped with Sam Darnold miked up along the sideline and has Sam Darnold saying, Quote, I'm seeing ghosts on Quote right there by Sam Darnold Does.
That is ultimately led to an Internet mean all around the Internet, where the Patriots booking in and everybody bringing up the Patriots, Boogie men and all the mean pictures of the Patriotssecondary.
And who wants this ball? Me, me, me! And it has everybody in the Patriots put in on the field as ghost instead of the Patriots uniform.
But 10 days before actual Halloween, this game strikes in the Patriots bogeymen striking intercept Sam Darnold Four times.
I honestly feel bad for the dude, but him passing the football was atrocious on Monday Night Football.
I've never seen a worse effort passing the football.
Besides, maybe once with Nathan Peterman and the Buffalo Bills against the Chargers.
I think a couple years ago and now that belongs to the last surprise ****ysts right now.
So we're gonna go over the final.
Surprising LES number 20 here on the list of surprises goes out to this one, the Patriots adding four more interceptions against the Jets as this is a surprise or hear the Patriots are on pace to break a record for the most interceptions.
I would have never guess that before the season has started that the pages would be on peace.
That possibly break the record.
A record is, Ah, 39 interceptions set by the 1989 San Francisco 40 Niners the single season record of interceptions there.
The Patriots are on track right now for 41 interceptions.
Bill Belichick's defense of genius masterpiece that he has put together is just been lights out this season.
It's just been incredible to see this defense years.
Stefan Gilmore and Devin McCourty lead the defense for the Patriots, as those two are most likely to get.
Hall of Fame nominations after their careers are finished someday.
But the rest of the Patriots defense is just like regular players that you would see in the NFL.
Not really any like standout players, but all the players air solid, solid, rotational players from top to bottom.
The defense is so deep, that's why there's not really like that 11 Like standout players, that was just solid, rotational players all there.
And that's why they're so deep and how they're able to get it done.
It's not like past defense is from like 2004 with Ty Law, Teddy Bruschi, Richard Seymour Seymour, Willie McGinnis, Ronnie Harrison, Mike Rebels, not that type of defense.
They don't have the Stars and studs back in 2004 but they got a lot of guys in there that's like great rotational players, and they're so deep defensively that they just switch in and out and they do it so many ways.
Whoever's in the secondary, whether it's whether it's the fun Gilmore, Devin McCourty, Jason McCord, e. J. C. Jackson.
Whether it's to Ron Harmon or somebody else like Terrence Brooks out there in the secondary, they do it so many different ways for the Patriots, and that's why they're so deep no matter what.
Top to bottom, even like the line back in court.
Jamie Collins, Kyle Vanoy, John Simon.
They're just so deep from top to bottom defensively there.
There's no weak spot on the team, and that's why it is so hard to go up against this Patriots defense this season.
So there was my top 20 surprises of the week Before I go, I go through every single one of these quickly before I go just one more time.
Number one of four surprise was patching Mahomes getting injured being out for at least three weeks because about Thursday Night Football game of the quarterback sneak number two for my surprises.
Now Ryan with a sprained ankle for the Land Falcons, the first time that he has been injured in almost a decade.
Number three for my surprises is the Von Freeman of the Falcons drone punches to land an ejection and Aaron Donal picking them up like a child number four.
My list is Miami Dolphins up at halftime against the Buffalo Bills, 14 and nine.
Number five on my list is Alex, Eric Cinda, meeting receiver in the last game for the Cincinnati Bengals.
He's more of a return specialist for the Bangles.
Number six on my list is Aaron Rodgers is game toe.
Always remember five passing touchdowns and the rush TD against the Oakland Raiders.
Number seven on my surprise list is Kobe percent, with a career game as well for touchdown passes by Jacoby for the court's number eight MLS is Daniel Jones getting sacked eight times, but the Cardinals on Sunday number nine for surprises.
Chase Edmunds, the running back for Atlanta with 100 and 26 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Number 10 in My West is the 40 Niners only winning 9 to against the Redskins on Sunday.
Number 11 on my list is the time of duration that that game lasted the 40 Niners against the Redskins two hours and 36 minutes, the shortest game, By the way of this decade, number 12 of My West for surprise will be the Chargers losing the worst way possible against Guess who.
The Tennessee Titans.
Number 13 on my list is the scenes putting up 36 points against the top 10 defense in the Chicago Bears number 14 on my list.
The surprises is let TVs Murray with a huge game for the Saints.
Filling in for Alvin CA Mera, number 15 on my list is Russell Wilson's first interception results in the Pick six number 16 for surprises.
Lamar Jackson completing only nine passes, but the Ravens win 30 to 16 against the Seahawks.
Number 17 on my list is the Cowboys blowing out the Eagles on Sunday Night Football 37 to 10.
Number 18 On my list is the outcome of Monday night's football game with the Patriots versus Jets.
I thought we'd been, Ah, whole lot closer there, but Patriots get the shutout.
Mos is the whole thing about Sam Darnold seeing ghosts on the field and seeing the Patriots boogeyman and meeting them in their actual presence in that game as he was picked off for top times in the last one.
In my last year, Number 20 the Patriots on pace to break that record for most interceptions, and then I found a 1989 San Francisco 40.
Niners owned that record with 39 picks.
The Patriots right now at this stage of the season are on track for 41 interceptions if they keep it up at this rate.
So much for joining me on this video of my 20 biggest surprises here of the NFL Weeks seven.
As this is a sports dish on SportsCastr, I'll be back in a little bit.
I'll be doing the play by play call around 7 30 tonight.
I've got the Boston Celtics against the Philadelphia 76 years.
I'll be switching it over the basket ball.
So much here for joining this video is this is the sports fish here in SportsCastr.
