A quick recap of the Seattle Seahawks versus the Baltimore Ravens.
I did have the Ravens win in this game, and that's just not just because I'm a Homer.
You know, Ravens there are there are my team, but also because I felt like they had the opportunity to go into Seattle and hand them a loss, a much needed win for the Ravens.
I think we, uh we definitely needed this win a lot more than Seattle did.
And I think with our acquisition of Marcus Peters, that kind of help that you look at this game Overall, this was a dominant game for us on defense.
We were able to actually have Russell Wilson turn the ball over which he has not done this year, and if it actually results it into a touchdown for us, So you gotta think about that.
You know, he before today or before yesterday, he had thrown four touchdowns with zero I antes, and that's that's amazing.
You know what I'm saying? That's something that we were able to kind of capitalize off.
And I think when you look at this Ravens team, I think a lot of people were like, Look at what the Browns did to us and then what Seattle did to the Browns.
The Browns were up 20 to 6 on them, and Seattle was able to come back and beat them, 32 to 28 in which we gave up almost 40 points to the Cleveland Browns, which it is just, you know, mind boggling how we can go from one week to another week.
I think this was, ah, truly a huge game for us to win.
I think a lot of people counted us out.
We were the underdog, but when you got a guy like Lamar Jackson on your on your team on, he's a he's a playmaker.
He does things that a lot of other guys can't do.
And I think if you look at his stat line, so I'm gonna go through it real quick.
He didn't pass the ball that well and that much.
He only had nine on completions, 143 yards.
But on the ground, that's where he did most of his damage.
He had 14 rushes for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Um, he didn't lose the bar one time, But you gotta think about it.
This this Ravens team went into Seattle.
This was the second loss they've ever had to a F C team at home.
The only other loan loss was against her, the Los Angeles charters.
And when you think about the emotion that ah, that we had on our side of all Earl Clark, who used to play for Seattle, I think he knew this was a huge game for us.
And I think he also understood that with him being in this area, going up against his old team, it was a time for him to actually have to step up Marlon Humphrey.
Humphrey definitely did his job.
He took a fumble back for a touchdown and overall, like if you look at the rest of our team, we play decent.
We didn't play that great, but we played.
These markings have 46 yards for toilet brushes because their words had 35 yards for eight rushes.
Um, and then, on the other side of all, Seattle started to do what they normally do.
He did have that one touchdown, but he also had that one interception.
Um, he had 241 yards off for 20 completions.
It's something to look at when we're looking at these two teams, Um, now the Ravens.
Right now, we're 38 9 when we rushed the ball over 150 yards per games and that since 8 2001 thing that I like with John Harbaugh that he's doing what our team is.
He's allowing us to run the ball effectively and not only effectively enough for us to win games, but also for us to keep the ball in our keep the you know, the bottom in our hands longer, given our defense time to rest and then allowing us to win game grounded out games on the final school was 30 to 16 which, you know, if you watched the first half, you could definitely tell I wasn't expecting the second half to go the way it did.
We held them to three points total 33 total points in the second half, which was just huge against the Seattle Seahawks team. That's so explosive.
And that could put up points in spurts.
You know, um, decay, make laugh.
You know, Tyler Lockett.
They both did pretty well on LAT yesterday, and even with that, they weren't able to do it enough.
Gerard Brown had a solid game, too, but I think he's the one who actually had that fumble that Adam Humphreys ended up taking into the zone.
Uh, which is huge, Uh, and when you think about the other players on their team, will display was out for them, and that was a huge, huge loss for them.
He's out for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury, which is going to hurt this team because they need a strong tight end in order to be successful.
Last year, you know they had Jimmy Graham.
Um, he played really well for them, but then now you know, losing religiously.
And now you have to have somebody like a Luke Wilson's step up.
He just didn't do that.
Well, I think he could have probably played a lot better than he did.
But just thinking about how how great we played against this.
The Seattle defense, which isn't that good right now, um, it shows a lot of shows a lot of resolve that we rent one this game on the road and allowed ourselves to, you know, be in the running for a nice little playoff spot.
Especially with the chief struggling and also having Patrick Holmes out.
Um, you know, I want to say that we can go in and try to get the first week Bob, but I don't know how easy that would be.
You know what I'm saying? Um, give me once.
They're gonna be right back.
All right? Had putting food.
So, um, you know, just overall, I mean, this team does.
This Ravens team has the opportunity to do great things in the NFC North, especially with our counterparts really struggling right now.
Um, the Browns and the Steelers both had a box, so they did not play this week, but they're both two and four were five into we have.
Ah, you know, a nice little solid lead on that division.
Um, and then the bangles.
I mean, they're only seven.
Uh, I wasn't expecting to be always seven right now, And, uh, with having a J.
Green maybe coming back in week eight or week nine.
I think it's a high possibility he may get traded for something for the bing girls to be able thio kind of revamp and regroup.
Um, I don't think anybody expected to be able to beat this bad this year, but they're they're pretty bad.
So looking at a C North, we have a real opportunity to kind of take over.
Um, And last week, you know, we did win against the English 2030 17.
But it was It was a kind of a tough, a tough win, a tough one for us.
And I think this win against the Seattle Seahawks that worked so well.
And this is probably the best team other than, um, Patrick Mahomes chiefs that we've played this season, that we we wanna really grounded out game and towards the end of the game, we actually were able to kind of take off defensively, which leads our offense being great, Mark Jackson went on.
It went on to get a touchdown on the forefront to call that.
I think him and John Harbaugh definitely kind of, you know, talked about and said, Hey, let's let's try to take advantage of this.
We need to win this game We don't need it just kicked Field goes the whole time and we took a gamble and we were able to run a power suite with Mark Jackson and he ran it right into the endzone.
So I think that's something to pay attention to to this.
This team, this Baltimore Ravens team.
We got character and I think I think given us a chance in this league like, well, I'm going to go through the rest of our schedule.
I think we have a really good opportunity to really make some noise and possibly compete for our Super Bowl this year.
I think our defense definitely need some help.
But you know, we're working on, we're working on some things, so next week we have the Patriots.
There's gonna be a huge game November 3rd.
It's a prime time game Sunday night, and you know, we we've had some really, really great games against this Patriots team in the past, and I think this is the opportunity for us to kind of take over and and win a game where we met.
It's a must win for us.
We need to beat the Patriots because, um, not only do I think we need that confidence boost blood, I think being at home against the Patriots gives us a better opportunity to kind of own on some of those skills that we have.
We are gonna be playing a very top rate defense, which is going to be tough.
But I think we're gonna be able to get the Tom Brady and we're gonna be ableto ruffle his feathers.
What's a man to man? Coverage is on the side with him losing a few weapons and stuff.
Um, then next we got the Bengals.
That isn't Cincinnati because it's a divisional game.
I'm not going to say we're just gonna automatically win.
But if we can win that game and then, you know, and also win against the Patriots were gonna be in a good spot will be 72.
I do have the Patriots losing tonight, which I would talk about it.
Another sport sportscast a lot.
But if we do ended up winning that game, that means will be 72 going into, uh, you know, well, actually, we got a bye week until we play the Patriots.
But if we can go into that that week playing against the Patriots and win that game at home, we're gonna look really good, really refreshed, and then going into bangles the next week After that, we're gonna be pretty solid as well.
Um, after that, we got the Texas Texas.
That's gonna be a tough game.
Um, we are going to be at home against the Texans, which should help us out a little bit.
But we've had notable losses at home.
Uh, just in general, you know, and I think even like we lost it of rounds at home, that was Ah, yeah, we lost lost to the Browns at home, and that was that was a tough loss.
But looking at this Ravens team, we have the opportunity to really make some noise this year.
I think we have a great offense with threats.
I mean, we do need to get Hollywood.
Brownback um, Mark Andrews dropped a few balls last night, but yesterday, But I think it has something to do with the rain.
It was raining in Seattle yesterday, so that probably affected a lot of those passes and catches and stuff like that because you could even see on the Seattle sidebar.
It actually affected them some to, not to the same extent that it did us, but furthermore, I mean, they definitely struggle with passing the ball a little bit against our secondary home.
After that, we have the Rams.
I think the Rams game is gonna be, Ah, very interesting game.
We are gonna be in L.
So this will be something interesting to look at.
I think we have an opportunity to win that game as well.
It is on the road, though, so and after going up against a team like sex and, uh, we may struggle a little bit, I think if we can establish the run game on any tea, especially wanna begins Aaron Donner.
Those guys will be able to really ruffles, ruffles some feathers and win some games.
Um, After that, we got the 40 Niners.
So we got a tough little stint after our bye week.
And after 40 Niners, we got the Bills, Jets, Browns and then Steelers to end the season.
Um, you know, I think that we have a real, real good opportunity to kind of shock some of the world.
A lot of people thought that we weren't gonna be as good as we were this year with a ah running quarterback like we do.
But I want people t kind of look at Lamar's game and understand that he has.
He's more than a one dimensional quarterback.
He can throw the ball.
It's just that when he sees openings and when he's getting pressured the way he has been these past three games, he's had to use his legs and he was able to use his legs effectively, even outside of the the schedule runs that they had.
I mean, he definitely did what he had to do to get out of the escape, the pocket and run for positive yardage nine times out of 10.
So looking at this, uh, this game again and the recap, I mean, it was ah, wonderful game for fantasy owners.
For Lamar Jackson.
He still was able because he's keep running these 100 yard games.
He's able to consistently put up great numbers.
He had 23 points this game with 143 passing yards, 1 16 rushing yards.
He only had one sack, but he did fumble the ball twice and he had a Russian touchdown.
So that's something to think about.
You know, Lamar is a solid number, Q B one if you have him, um, you know what Russell Wilson is a little tougher.
He didn't have that great of a game, but he still gave you 15 points.
But overall, it was the Ravens defense that probably getting you some points.
They got 19 points, had an interception, a sack.
Ah, fumble recovery into defensive touchdowns this week.
Um, and I think you're looking at this team and looking at how effective Weaken B when the defense's side of the ball going forward.
Um, I think we can return to a Ray Lewis at retyped defense, but, you know, we're still needed a few pieces Eat on Matthew Jude on it is a great ah great mind back and he gives us an opportunity, tickets and core back any time he's on the field.
And I think What? Marcus Peters, Marlon Humphrey, Earl Clark on those guys, if we can stay consistent and just stay Ah, you know, healthy.
I think we have a really good opportunity to play great defense against great teams.
Um, even if you look at how you know, we got Brandon Car coming in backing them up as well as Jimmy Smith for me, we got so many multiple options and multiple players that can play well, I think it's gonna be a testament to what we're gonna do, So I will be back later on.
Today, I'm going to do another one for the evils and Cowboys risk recap.
It was, Ah, very interesting game, and I think that I'll go into a deeper later on about, you know, fantasy goods and fantasy don'ts and also ill go through.
Ah, you know what I see these two teams doing in the NFC East this year? Um, but the Cowboys won a tough game, and they did what they had to do on their home feel, and they were able to come out with a win.
So, you know, I'll talk about that later.
But overall solitude Ravens, man, they play well.
They did good against EVP quarterback.
Um, and we were able to win Win the game.
So, uh, I'll see you guys in a few hours, maybe.
