Okay, everybody, it's Alex here to do a NFL Week.
Seven Sunday Night Football analysis.
This week, we had Eagles at Kathy, except me.
Food of the Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys Cowboys put off a 37 10 victory.
I have four takeaways I want to discuss and further breakdown first.
Elliot has the keys to the offense, and this is something that, based on my youth, as a football player, growing out playing football, it's basically setting the tone with the run.
And that's something that I think the Cowboys typically do in their victories.
But they kind of get away from it in their losses.
And, you know, I know run defense is and you know, can alter the game plan.
But I think Kellen Moore really needs to emphasize getting it to Elliot early and often to set the tone of the game.
They were running the ball very well.
Elliot was able to get involved in the past game as well.
Earlier on, he definitely set this team up for a great victory.
You know, he is one of those generational talents that he can just bust out, break a couple tackles, get himself into open space and really, you know, just Goran defense.
And I think that Elliot, really in all for hunting purposes has the key to this offense.
He went out for 111 yards touchdown and caught a couple passes, was involved in the passing game.
That is key for the Cowboys to continue this and break the, uh, this, uh, situation where they're now currently foreign three after starting three.
You know, I think this is a revelation that needs to be processed and understood by Kellen Moore, who was the offensive coordinator.
Zeke, you have a generational talent.
He's been a Russian champ two times already.
This guy needs to be given the ball early and often.
Don't make that be the guy who has to win the game unless he absolutely has to have a Marquis Cooper.
You have Jason Witten.
You have, uh, things jar borrowing, darling, you you have options in the passing game.
Build it off the run.
Dad is a great quarterback.
I don't know about, you know, going up the 30 40 million contract extension money, but he's a great quarterback.
Give him Elliot as a crutch to basically no.
Hey, hand the ball off to Elliot.
Get the game going.
It sets the tone, helps.
It helps the offense stand the field longer, helps the defense get a little bit more of a breather.
It's just better off for this team.
And I think if the Cowboys want to be successful this season, they really, really need Thio.
Emphasize the run moving forward.
Next we have here is when's can't save the team by yourself.
And by that I mean Carson Wentz.
Is that an amazing job this season of getting out of pressure in the pocket, avoiding sacks by being able to throw the ball while he's being hit? Having immense body control, that's such an invaluable skill for a quarterback.
You needed to know your surroundings and just have a level of acute awareness to just know when someone's coming in the cock bag with the bar.
Go out as you being hit, and it's not something that is easy for any of you have played football.
When you're getting hit, you don't automatically think Hey, let me get the ball out.
Carson ones has been doing an amazing job.
He took a huge shot.
Uhm, I believe it was in the third quarter.
He tried to get the bottom Nelson angle or angle, or was it was literally his hands right here.
Ball was right here and he kind of just went like it was just one of those moments where you as a suspect Did you see that you like aglow what you're doing and you know what I mean.
Carson Lens has done everything to get them to three and three.
But there was no help from the wide receivers from his starting receivers out.
Sean Jeffrey Nelson at glory.
They combined for four receptions and 62 yards.
They each had two receptions.
They each had multiple plate.
I mean, they were not getting separation.
They were not being They were just not being playmakers for this team.
And Carson ones can do it all alone.
You know, the game got out of hand and unfortunately, couldn't continue running the ball too much with Jordan Howard and miles south of Saunders.
But they need to get those two involved through the air in these moments up.
I mean, you know, obviously we have the dark.
They have Earth's.
They have two great tight ends who can really be, you know, great pass catchers for this offense.
But they do need receiver hope immensely with all the drops, the injuries.
You know, Sean Jackson has yet to play more than you know.
He's only played inevitably.
Two or three games are only on the season.
They need John Jackson to come back and be that that player that requires attention from the defense.
Right now, nobody is afraid of Jeffrey.
No one is afraid of Agra.
Or, I mean, you saw on the play where Regular stretched out, and he kind of gave up on that play.
Just completely, completely disappointing.
You know, whence who's had a series of injuries has just been under constant duress, you know? Good.
The Cabbage defense.
The defensive line to Marcus Lawrence, you know, in company have had a lot of pressures on early on.
This game once wasn't really able to get it going, you know, he got except intercepted for the first time in a couple of games.
It was just a tough game, you know.
Unfortunately, Cowboys got early leading, just ran all the way with it.
Philadelphia Eagles just could not keep up with that scoring.
There needs to be some sort of, uh, change or something, whether it be a free agent or or picking somebody up through through a trade.
But it Carson Wentz need so you can do it all by himself.
He has done a great job of getting them tow three and four so far in the season, but it's not getting any easier.
Their schedule is immensely tough currently, the way their roster stacks up, I only see them getting three more victories.
That would leave him at six and 10 which would be a huge disappointment based on the way that the feel and the aura that kind of came about when the season started.
I just Right now, the Eagles offense is a huge, uh, next key.
Takeaway. Eagles have a broken defense.
You know Millie Jackson is out. You know that.
They're definitely very hindered at cornerback.
They just got Jalen Mills.
They sign Orlando Scandrick.
Good, good cornerbacks.
Just not ones that could be locked down.
Defenders can can really take out the best player from the opposite team.
Uh, Mark Cooper himself had a had a day over 100 yards through the air.
You know, even though they've had a strong run defense, they weren't able to contain Elliot.
And I don't really want to say, Hey, it's the run defense.
You know, the linebackers in the the eight man in the box were not doing their job.
I just think, you know, when they know that Theseventy Airy isn't gonna do anything, is there just a very just depleted defense? And, you know, in these situations, I just think it's not a trade away.
This defense, it has more issues, and it's letting on with the secondary.
You know, Pass Rush is it hasn't really been there in some of these games.
It's It's a very concerning performance over these last couple of games.
I just This team is a shell of itself, you know, last last season, they were a drop house away from, you know, getting out to the Super Bowl.
But I mean, t mean to get into the conference championship.
This'll team is completely depleted.
And, you know, I definitely have been on Twitter and had seen the way that people are talking about, you know, should they be buyers there's this consensus that oh, you know, maybe they could get Emmanuel Sanders.
Maybe they can get, you know, Chris Harris from the, um, the Denver Broncos.
I mean, I think he would be a great addition.
I think that necessarily makes them a complete defense or really fixes all these situations? Is these issues with their secondary? I mean, Malcolm Jenkins is a great safety, but he can't be doing it alone.
Jalen Mills, Rose WA Russell Butler, Scandrick.
It's just been a very disappointing performance.
I feel right now at this point, this is where the Eagles have kind of fallen off and the Cowboys air stepping in the right direction.
You know, the Giants don't really seem to be a team that are really pushing Thio to fight for that first round from you.
Excuse me for the first place in the moment, you know Daniel Jones is developing.
You know, it's a it's a try on air season for them.
Washington Redskins Aaron A Rebuild.
It's literally Eagles cowboys, and you know Eagles.
Losing this first game is going to bite them in the butt in the long term.
If they don't get these things going because right now the Cowboys were in a great position to basically run off with this division, and I just don't see it be a situation where the trade that the Eagle should necessarily be buyers.
I mean, as the general manager, as a front office, you don't wanna continue Thio push on through the season knowing there's gaping holes in in certain parts of your offense and defense.
But will those trades and the assets you give up in those trades? Will they be worthwhile for a very tough second half of the NFL season for them? It to me, I would say Emmanuel Sanders and Crit and Chris Harris for the key targets for them.
Do I think that fixes the Eagles and puts him in a position to keep up with the Cowboys currently? No.
I think the Eagles are in a really tough spot at this point.
It's going to kind of come down to the team.
You know, the players to be ableto step them themselves up to a new level to, you know, work on their cohesive is like, really have ah, players only meeting and kind of break down and say you know, what do we need to do to get ourselves right? You know, they had a good unit this past season, but this season is their secondary has just being gutted.
Multiple times that, you know, the game against the Packers seem to just kind of being anomaly.
It was a game where they were just so good.
But it's just not something they could do consistently or haven't shown to be able to do consistently.
I think moving forward, you know, the Eagles definitely have to run the ball.
They have to get themselves in play action.
Carson Wentz needs time.
Jason Peters, Mrs Game.
I think it's it was a major loss.
I think the Cowboys took full advantage of that.
It was a great defensive showing for the Dallas Cowboys.
I think this was a great moment, Um, changing game.
I think the Cowboys were kind of, you know, they definitely, you know, were knocked off their high horse after, you know, starting season three, you know, But you know, victory like this against a divisional opponent, knowing the confidence that you just have that extra step ahead of them is going to be it's such a positive for this team moving forward.
And, like I said earlier, you know, if Kellen Moore starts to really see the value of getting Elliot involved early, getting that running game going, I think the Cowboys, we're just gonna run away with his Division Eagles.
You know, they have a lot to show is over these next couple weeks.
They have quite the formidable opponents.
They have the Buffalo Bills next week.
One, No team to, ah, look past I.
That's currently the situation right now with the Philadelphia Eagles.
That would be in crisis worry mode.
It's a stage five alarm.
Cowboys are now in the driver's seat of their own future.
And, uh, it's gonna be great to see where the this two horse race goes.
All right, that is my analysis of Sunday Night Football for NFL.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Thank you for washing
