Hello Lakers Nation.
Trevor laying here.

And Lakers basketball.
We can start focusing on the regular season.
We can start focusing on games that actually count. I can't wait.
I'm so thrilled the regular season is finally here.
We're counting down to Tuesday.
Look, yeah, the Lakers played tonight, kind of.
They basically benched everybody in the third string players.
The South Bay Lakers, if you will, took on the Gold State.
Where is put off? A good.
Put up a good fight.
We're gonna talk about some of these guys, but lost 1 24 to 103 which should be expected when the Gold State Warriors are playing their starters and your Los Angeles Lakers are again playing their South Bay players, the players that are going to be playing down in the D League most of the time, but still some solid performances, some things that we will certainly discuss.
We're going to dive into all of it.
I am here live streaming across periscope across Facebook across YouTube also on sportscaster.
All of these places, and I'm gonna be taking your questions and your comments.
Let me know where your thoughts are about the Lakers season.
You guys kind of direct this show.

Well, go back and forth and we will talk.
I know it's a Friday night.
It's a pre season game.
The Lakers didn't play most their starters.
I want to talk Lakers basketball.
I am here for you.
So if you guys were here, fire off your questions and let me know what you want to talk about before we dive into all of it.

Come in from Facebook.
We are good to go.
Let's talk lakers basketball.
I'm gonna start diving into these First of all from YouTube coming in.
Nor bell the truth from a W h.
Look, if we're gonna talk about anybody from a pre season game when the Lakers benched everyone, just about it's gonna be Zach Norville Well, there's a couple other guys want to talk about? Two.
But Zach Norville What a player.
The Lakers found these undrafted.
They didn't even have to burn a draft pick on this guy.
And he's playing better than a lot of the rookies that are out there in the league.
Finishes with 29 points, 29 8 of 17 shooting, 50% from 35 of 10 from 38 of nine from the line.
Four boards, three assists.
I'm gonna tell you this right now.
He's not ready yet.
He's not ready to come up to the n ba yet.
That's not their way Like a video game is these Air veteran players that need to win right now and the little mistakes that a rookie like nor Bella's gonna make, uh, are going to sit well with those guys.
So I'm not anticipating.
He's getting a ton of minutes here with the regular season Lakers without there being some sort of horrible injuries streak, which let's keep our fingers crossed that that doesn't happen.
But this is absolutely I got to keep an eye on keep an eye on Zach Norville with the South Bay Lakers he's on a two way contract.
The Lakers can call them up for 45 days during the season.
Interesting, Interesting Guy has been tremendous through summer league through preseason.
Just keep getting better and better.
Looks more and more comfortable again.
I'm not saying they're going to use them right now, but don't forget this name, because nights like this aren't I outside the realm of possibility for him. He can put up numbers.
It's become very, very clear again.
This may not be the season for him, but down the line.
Don't forget Zach Norval.
I'm so impressed by what we've seen from him his shotmaking ability.
He's a pretty good playmaker.
Better than you would expect.
Does some smart things on the defensive end like Zach Novell.
Enjoy watching him play.
Yes, Mr HD on YouTube.
Yes, he went undrafted.
How does he not get drafted and seeing what we've seen from him? And thank goodness he didn't get drafted? Fromthe Lakers perspective.
Disappointing for him, but for the Lakers perspective, they've traded away most of their future picks.
By the way, most of the future picks are gone, so finding diamonds in the rough like Zach Norville is so critical moving forward that they can kind of keep restocking their roster so big, Big fine for them.
I think he could really pay dividends again.
I'm looking at him or next season than this coming season here.
But again, so thrilled to have this guy as part of the Lakers system.
Jonathan Morales from Facebook is Johannes, his brother on the roster, or he's down in the D League.
So Costa's onto Campo.
Is there other two way player? Okay, you've got Zach Norville taking up one of those slots.
And then Costa's onto Cooper, taking the other one.
And I know look, we all said Okay, this is nepotism, right? It's It's just the Lakers getting an ear in the on such a couple families, so that when Yonas becomes a free agent, you've already got that relationship built, and you could just kind of paved the path.
Come play with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Enjoy the spotlight in L.
And you don't have to worry about the freezing winter in Milwaukee, right? That was what everybody thought was going on here.
But this guy can play This isn't just a Hayward doing a favor for a family.
For a member of your family.
That's not what's happening.
This is more like the KCP signing in my mind where the Lakers signed KCP.
Yes, they overpaid him, but it built the bridge that brought them LeBron James.
Okay, but KCP can do some good things on the basketball floor.
Yeah, he does some bad things too sometimes, but he said he is a legitimate n BA player.
You see Costa on two.
People do things out there.
Look, one of seven shooting tonight.
Not great there.
Five of it from the line.
But he's aggressive.
He's attacking the rim and five blocks.
If this guy gets his shot falling, he's got the versatility and the rim protection to be the kind of big that you want in the MBA.
Okay? Still pretty young.
He's got plenty of room to grow, and he's a guy.
They also keep an eye on down in the D League Costas onto Coop.
Oh, like in the move to go ahead and grab him was was a nice one.
Uh, let's see what else you guys have for me here.
Do you think Anthony Davis will play 82 games? No, no, I don't I don't think you will because of load management.
I don't think the Lakers want him to play 82 games.
I think that the Lakers want him to be healthy for the playoffs.
That's the most important thing people have been asking.
What seed with Lakers finishing? Are they going to be? The one are gonna be the two, the three.
I think it doesn't matter with this Lakers team with how many veterans they have.
I don't really care if they're the four, the five, the three when, look, you'll be great if they're the one seed.
Of course, of course, you take that.
But the most important thing is, Are they healthy? I care more about if they are healthy coming in the playoffs than what seed they finish him because I think there's that much parity in the Western Conference.
There's no clear top dog, so give me a healthy Lakers team first and foremost, so I think they are gonna arrest him a little bit.
So because of that, I'm gonna say no, he's not gonna play 82 games.
And again, I'm not saying I'm expecting injury.
I expect an arrest.
Okay, so I think that's what we're going to see happen.
A few other comments.
Art Alexander 93 from YouTube What's the starting lineup opening day? So I think Frank Vogel showed his hand in the previous game.
I am pretty sure, based on the way he approached this game, the way he just benched everyone, that the last game was the dress rehearsal for opening night.
And if that's the case, then I fully expect to see a starting lineup.
And by the way, I love this starting lineup of Avery Bradley, Danny Green, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Javale McGee.
I think that's gonna be your five out there on the floor, as it should be.
I know they've tinkered around with Rondo in that starting unit.
No, just no look.
And I'm not one of those people that has everything against Rondo.
And has this this run? No hatred? No, I think he can serve a solid role on the team, but I think that role as Faras on the basketball court goes, is coming off the bench.
I think you use him off the bench against the second unit to organize the offense.
You stagger him and LeBron James because I think having the two of them on the floor together isn't a great fit, However, Avery Bradley, on the other hand, because he's such a good defender if he can knock in threes the way he did in the last outing, this guy becomes a great fit alongside LeBron James.
He is a three indeed guard that can play defense on these tough point guards in the n B A.
So I think he's an excellent fit in that starting lineup, and that's absolutely the way I would rule.
And it's the way I feel.
Like, uh, Frank Vogel is trending right here.
Think that's what's gonna happen.
17 came from, Periscope says.
Do you think Kyle Kuzma is playing Tuesday? No, I don't and that's not me not being optimistic about it or anything like that.
That's just he hasn't taken contact yet.
I mean, here we are.
We're at the end of the week and he's not in full contact practice and this was a leg injury create.
This wasn't like it was an injured finger to his non shooting hand or something like that, where he's still been able to go on run.
He can still do stuff in the weight room on his legs.
And so his legs were still good.
And the radio? No, he's had to stay off.
He's had to stay off the court.
He hasn't been able to get in a whole lot of cardio because of this injury, so it's gonna take time to build them back up.
So the fact that he's not even taking contact in practice just yet tells me that he's going to need a little bit more time, and I think the Lakers are okay with giving him that time.
Um, I wish I wish he was gonna be out there because I think that they need him.
I think that he's gonna be a really nice piece.
I think he's that turbo piece, the Lakers going to be a good team.
But you throw Karl Kruse mount there, and he's that piece that pushes the turbo button and pushes you up to a whole another level because he's that lengthy, uh, floor space.
I think you can be a good defender on the perimeter and that that he has been.
But he can be a good defender on the perimeter.
So when you put all that together, that's the type of player the Lakers need right now.
They need one more wing player, and I think Kyle Kuzma can fill that role.
But he's got to be healthy.
And so, no, I don't think that he's gonna play on Tuesday.
Uh, pretty season is over.
Real games coming up on Tuesday, Absolutely.
Some of you guys were saying, I've got an echo going on.
I'll see what I can do here on my and see if maybe there's something going on with that here.
Don't see anything on my levels, but let's see here turned down one of my levels here and let the other one keep going, and we'll see how that how that plays out.
Hopefully, that'll solve any eco issue that you guys were here and there, but appreciate the common.
You guys throwing that out there.
Let's see what else you guys have for us here on to talk about tonight.
On this Friday night on parents Cope Sims Mm, A said, nor Velo ver Rondo.
We're seeing great things that exact Norville, but I don't think it's gonna happen.
Rondo as the veteran he's gonna be respected.
The coaching staff respects him.
And, perhaps even more importantly, Anthony Davis respects him.
Look, this is a guy that Anthony Davis wanted to play with Rajon Rondo.
In addition to DeMarcus Cousins and the Lakers, we've already seen them bend over backwards this summer.
I mean, Anthony Davis said that Frank Vogel was a little bit like kind of the too clingy girlfriend constantly, constantly texting him, calling him every single move they were making.
Anthony Davis was involved because Frank Vogel or I'm sorry Rob Pelinka was keeping Anthony Davis involved.
So if 80 is involved in everything like that, you can assume that he does want to play with Rondo.
And so I don't see Rondo going to the bench for Zach Norville.
I just don't think that's going to happen, okay? I don't think it's gonna happen there.
You guys are saying the echo is fake.
So great, Whatever.
Whatever I just did in there, hopefully that fixed it.
This is a great point here, and this is something that I have on my list of things I want to talk about right now.
Uh, at the CEO from YouTube, said Jared, meaning Jared Dudley is a locker room guy and Lakers for life on YouTube, said.
Jared is here to teach Cosma great, great point.
If you watch him play, watch what he does on the defensive end.
Yeah, he gets burned sometimes because he doesn't have the athleticism to stick with guys.
He can't jump with guys and block shots anymore, but watches positioning.
His positioning is almost always exactly where he should be.
He anticipates very well in the defensive end.
He slides in front.
He does what he can right, given his limited athleticism to make an impact.
And it's that kind of intelligence up here that needs to rub off on Kyle Kuzma.
So look, Jared Dudley, wonderful locker room guy I love.
I love his big catch phrase, and that is be a star in your role.
Be a star in your role.
He's saying that No, not everybody's gonna be LeBron.
Not everybody's gonna be Anthony Davis, but you can make an impact.
You can be a star by doing the little things that you are supposed to do.
And for a guy like, say, Dwight Howard, that's boxing out.
Protecting the paint, rebounding, dunking the ball right, catching and finishing things like that.
Focus on those things and you could be a star in that way.
You don't have to take over the whole game.
And so I loved your W's attitude.
I love that. That's his catchphrase.
That's his his motto, his mantra, if you will.
And I think that he's gonna be a great guy to rub off on Koosman because one of Cosmo's issues has been his positioning on the defensive end.
Okay, he's quick enough.
He's athletic enough to play good defense, but he has.
He doesn't always take the right angles, and Dudley is a master of that.
So I think, pairing those too tight.
Two guys together ultimately is going to pay dividends.
No, not right off the bat.
But as the season goes on, I am going to keep a close eye on cow.
Cruising was positioning the way he deals with drivers to the basket, and I think that we're going to see a little bit of Jared Dudley's game rub off on him and that's gonna be a very, very good thing.
Jordan Jordan Bryant, from YouTube said.
Any updates on Taelon Horton Tucker? Is he a two way player? No, this guy has a roster spot.
Okay, They selected him with the second round pick.
Tucker has a full roster spot.
We haven't seen a second of him play.
He's been dealing with a stress reaction of his own, and so we have not seen him out there.
But obviously, look, the Lakers, you know, they bought that pick in order to get him.
They've got to feel pretty confident in him.
Yes, he's a clutch sports client yet.
Maybe that played a role here.
Maybe it's a little bit of doing a favor for Rich Paul, but there's still some interesting things about his game.
And you look at his wingspan really, really incredible.
He doesn't look like he's in the best shape.
He just doesn't right.
I mean, he looks a little thick.
There's no denying it, but I'm curious to see what he can do out there on the basketball floor because we don't want to judge a book by its cover anything like that.
Taelon Horn Tucker has a lot of versatile skills.
Can pass the ball, can shoot a little bit from outside solid defender because that wingspan, I think he's a guy that can develop into a good player, but it will take time.
But again, we haven't even seen a second off him against pro players.
So curious to see what happens with him probably starts in the G Legal will see where he goes from there.
Greg Pan got from Facebook's that Lakers will win on Tuesday.
I'm so tired of people talking about the Clippers like they have been winning championships since the dawn of time, agreed.
There was that GM survey that came out yesterday and Greg Bergman from ESPN and I were talking last night on the Lakers station podcast about this.
Have you caught that look? The Clippers got all kinds of love and don't get me wrong.
They did a good job.
The Clippers did.
They did a nice job putting together a good team.
They have to probably the two top perimeter defenders in the N.
A in Paul George and quiet Leonard.
Then you throw in another really high level perimeter defender and Patrick Beverley.
Yes, that's that's daunting.
That's some scary stuff there, but it's not like they're unbeatable.
It's not like this team has already won a championship, and people are kind of acting like it.
So I would love nothing more than to see the Lakers come out there and assert their dominance and win the game on Tuesday and remind everybody why L.
A. Is a Lakers town.
Yeah, the Clippers might be in Los Angeles, but they're not really Los Angeles.
It's not the same.
It's just not Los Angeles bleeds purple and gold.
That's just the way that it is.
And so it's the it's time for the Lakers to kind of show that this is their city.
Okay, they could do that with a win on Tuesday night.
Trun Win, said Updates on Caruso.
We know he's going to get a scan when he comes back to Los Angeles right now, They're saying he's got a bruise, basically took a hard fall.
I would imagine knowing Alex Caruso.
I would imagine if this was a regular season game and they really needed him or a playoff game.
I would think you'd probably be out there if this is just a bad bruise and hopefully that's all it is.
That's what's going on here.
It's anything worse, you know? Of course.
Yeah, Then maybe he wouldn't be back out there.
But given the fact that it's a pre season game and already the order of the day was just to keep everyone healthy, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
If Crusoe get takes a little bump and then they just say, That's it, just shut him down because we may actually play him in the regular season.
Let's keep the guys out there that probably aren't gonna play all that much.
They threw him out there, by the way.
What a great night for key. CP.
This was like a CPS dream.
Everybody else isn't playing, so he gets to shoot all the shots.
And he didn't do that poorly.
Yeah, yes, um, some mistakes there got dunked on things like that.
But overall, the hit some big shots for the Lakers.
I'm pulling up his stat line right now.
Eight of 16 shooting, three of six from 34 boards, 25 points with Steel solid four turnovers.
That's, you know that's a little bit too much.
But other than solid outing from KCP, people hate on KCP all the time.
I even made a joke about him on Twitter earlier tonight.
People hate on him all the time.
He's an average NBA player.
Okay, that's what he is.
And that's what he's getting paid.
Like right now, By the way.
That's an average eh? NBA salary right now.
When it first came out, I had the same reaction as a lot of you guys where I went, What? Why are we paying KCP again? But it's an average salary.
He got the same amount of Rodney Hood got the same amount with less years than Seth Curry, and these were his contemporaries.
So I fully understand KCP getting that dollar amount.
No, he's not my favorite player.
He's not the guy I'm gonna turn to in a clutch situation or anything like that.
No pun intended there with clutch, but he is a solid N b A player.
He's an average player that could do some good things on the floor, so I'm not gonna hate on KCP too much I don't think he's going to get a ton of minutes.
I think dating Green's gonna get most of the minutes there.
And if Quinn Cook plays anything like what we saw night before last, he's gonna eat up a lot of minutes off the bench of the Guard position to.
Could be playing a little bit of to guard, which may cut into Casey piece minutes as well.
Jonathan Morris Norville with the bench.
You Nick saying this from Facebook? Uh, look, if he continues to play at this level, maybe, But again, I think they're gonna let him test the waters in the D League.
Come along, slowly.
You don't just toss him out there right away.
You've got a really good to evade.
A totally young team, then maybe right.
But they've got a team that needs to win right now, so they don't have time to mess around with a guy who's young, kind of learning on the fly.
Let him let him marinate a little bit in the D League, let him figure things out, and then when he's ready, he's not gonna be making rookie mistakes.
Then you let him go play Good Eve Salaam from YouTube.
Do the Lakers have enough depth to contend deep in the playoffs compared to the Clippers or other teams? I think it really depends on what you're getting out of the role players.
If you're getting the Lakers role players that we saw night before last against the Warriors, where you've got Avery Bradley knocking down shots.
Danny Green knocking down shots.
Quinn Cook coming off the bench of lighting things up, guys playing solid defense.
Dwight Howard making big plays. Javale McGee.
Blake Making big place.
All the non LeBron James Anthony Davis guys, If they are all clicking, then absolutely, they have the depth.
Hey, if they aren't if they aren't punishing teams for spending all their time paying attention to LeBron and 80 then you could argue that yet they won't have the death.
Okay, And again, we haven't seen Kyle Cruise.
He's a big, big piece to that depth question.
Okay, so we need to see Cruz mount there again.
It depends on what these role players can do.
Can they keep things simple and play within their role and play that role to perfection? Can javale McGee.
Run the floor, block shots, dunk the bulk.
If he can focus on those things and do them at a high level, then you're getting what you need out of it, right? Same thing with a guy like Who's McCann? He focus on slashing to the basket and getting easy buckets there, hitting shots from the outside, not shooting what, 33% from three like you did last season of 30% from three shot last season.
Can he knock down the shots? Can you play good perimeter defense? If he can do those three things that absolutely the Laker, it gives them more depth.
If they can focus on the things that the Lakers need, then they have a fairly deep team.
Think that's important? UH, Kyle W.
From YouTube, saying, Just tuned in.
Have you been liking what you've been seeing from Dudley? Yes, I have.
I've definitely been liking what I'm seeing from Dudley.
I think he's the kind of veteran presence that you need, And here's the thing.
I didn't talk about this previously, when I mentioned Dudley before Jared Dudley, people were coming at him, saying the Lakers should have signed Carmelo Anthony Are you kidding? Why would you sign Jared Dudley over Carmelo? That's ridiculous.
All of these things.
If it was a game of one on one and my life is on the line, I am picking Carmelo Anthony every time over Jared Dudley.
There's no question there, but this is not a game of one on one.
It's This is five on five basketball with a 15 man roster, plus two two way contracts on the on the squad.
All of these players, this is all acting together.
So you have to worry about how is this guy in the locker room Wait, Is he gonna make teammates around him better? Is this guy going to care if he plays? If he sits on the bench for five games in a row, is he gonna be upset? Is he gonna be pouting? Is he gonna bring other guys down? And I'm not saying Carmelo Anthony's definitely gonna do those things, but you know for sure Jared Dudley is not.
He makes a living off of being a good teammate, not caring whether or not he gets shots he took.
He took four shots a game last season for the Brooklyn Nets in over 20 minutes, and he plays defense with the same intensity, every trip down the floor.
It does not matter if he's getting fed on the offensive end or not.
He doesn't care.
Okay, that has value.
And for this Lakers team that matters more than having a Carmelo Anthony who you can say is more talented than Jared Dudley.
Dudley is the better fit.
So, yes, I like what we've seen on a Jared Dudley.
And that is why you go to a guy like doubly instead of a Carmelo Anthony particularly win.
You're gonna use W th Kaku asthma.
How to play high level defense both on the perimeter and on the interior.
Few players in the league that could do it like doubly does.
So I like him quite a bit.
Uh, little decks from YouTube winners.
Cosmo returned to the roster as soon as he's fully healthy.
That's what it's gonna come down to.
We don't know exactly when that's gonna be, but it's a soon as he's fully healthy.
I don't think it's gonna be opening night.
I hope I'm wrong.
Who knows? Maybe he makes a quick recovery, but as of right now.
I'd say it looks pretty doubtful that he'll be out there opening night, Walter Vineland said.
So excited to watch the game this Tuesday.
It's Taco Tuesday. Let's go, Lakers.
Let's go, Walter, I love it.
You know what? In fact, I think Lakers fan should show show solidarity by all eating tacos Tuesday night, Taco Tuesday.
Open the regular season poster pictures of social media. Let's go.
I think that's gonna be a great thing for them. For the Lakers.
I wish they got Taco Fall.
Could the Celtics just released him so the Lakers could sweep him up? Because that's a marketing dream.
Walden long from YouTube.
Any updates on Gigi? If he decides to join the Lakers, can we open a spot for him? So, yeah, that's one thing that I think the Lakers really need is another wing defender Now.
Maybe that can be Kuzma.
I liked what I saw, the improvements we saw defensively from him when he was with Team U.
A. Can that continue? That's gonna be the question mark.
He hasn't been a great defender over his two year career so far.
I think you can be, though, but regardless I think the Lakers could use one more wing defender.
I think that's the one kind of hole in their roster right now.
So if you're gonna get another wing defender and Iguodala becomes available if he somehow secures a buyout from Memphis Grizzlies, From what age Ramon Sharansky said, it's gonna come down to the Lakers or the Clippers.
To me, the Lakers make way more sense.
Rob Pelinka used to be his agent.
The Lakers actually have a need for a wing.
There's minutes they're the Clippers don't need the.
The Clippers need Iguodala just so the Lakers don't get equal.
I think that's their main motivation.
They don't really have a role for him.
They have plenty of wing players already, so hopefully Iguodala would see that would see that look.
The Clippers just want him to sit him on the bench and make it so he can't play for the Lakers.
Think that's their main motivation there, So hopefully would all would wind up with the Lakers.
But you're right.
They would have to get rid of somebody.
Their roster is full, so you have to cut somebody.
Maybe that's the Marcus cuts.
Maybe they decide cousins for sure isn't gonna play all season, not even the playoffs, and they decide to cut him.
Maybe it's a Troy Daniels.
Maybe you decide you don't need another guard, and so you find him superfluous and you let him go.
That's possible regardless of what they decide to dio.
If Iguodala calls up the Lakers and says, Hey, I want to play for you I just got bought up by the Grizzlies.
They will have to do something.
Some sort of move will have to be made in order to free up a roster spot.
We don't know exactly what that be.
We can speculate, but again, they would have to do something.
At this point, Let's see what we've got.
A few more question Christopher roads from YouTube Is the market's still signed? Yes, he is.
And that's another thing.
Let's talk about that real quick.
You guys have seen him on the bench.
He's been on the bench wearing the Lakers gear, sitting on the bench like he could step on the floor and play it any minute.
Well, we know that's not gonna happen, but I think this is really important for the Lakers.
What they're doing with cousins.
They're keeping him as part of the family, and I'm not going to talk about his legal issues.
We know that's a whole other thing going on.
I don't know a lot about that situation.
I can't comment on that, Okay, but I can see this as a player recovering from an injury.
Mentally, that can be a difficult thing because you feel isolated from the team.
You feel like you're not part of things and that can lead to.
I don't want to say depression.
I don't want to go that far, but it can certainly be a tough thing to deal with.
Okay, it's It's not an easy thing for an athlete that's used to being there with the team that's used to that brotherhood.
That camaraderie do not have that anymore could be a difficult thing and to be rehabbing on your own can be a tough thing.
So I think the Lakers are making the right call.
You're doing the right thing by keeping him involved and keeping him as part of the team.
I think that's important not just for his recovery but for the message that sends around the league.
Remember the message that you send that how players view you is important.
Anthony Davis didn't want to become a Boston Celtic because he didn't like the way they treated Isiah Thomas.
The way you treat players in the N b a right now is so important.
Okay, you're not gonna convince me that LeBron James, coming to the Lakers had nothing to do with the Lakers giving Kobe Bryant that $48 million contract after he tore his Achilles and they sent that message around the league.
We take care of our stars.
We take care of our players.
These things matter, and I think they're sending a very good message with how they are, Um, how they are acting with the Marcus cousins, the way they're treating him.
Okay, On top of that, let's say Cousins comes back next summer and he's healthy and he wants to continue playing.
He's probably gonna have to sign a minimum contract somewhere, and you want him to sign with the Lakers.
You want him in L.
With the Lakers because of Anthony Davis, who's gonna be a free agent has really one to play with DeMarcus cousins, and we know that's a fact.
That was one guy he has really want to play with again.
And Cousins is willing to stay in L. A.
That just creates one more lure.
One more reason for Anthony Davis to stick around.
So important for that reason as well.
Let's see here we've got Mike.
Mike Ricci from YouTube said, What about McKinney from Golden State? He was just released.
Yeah, he waas He was just released, but I don't know that they turned to him.
Look, he's a good player, but I think they're gonna wait for even L.
I think they want that veteran prisons present.
So they're gonna wait to find out what happened to the wood l a.
Before making a move on somebody like that at T m C.
Game from YouTube.
I'm going to the game against Memphis.
I hope Cruise would be in some action and I will be the fourth game of the season.
Yeah, Look, the Lakers are are in an interesting spot with, um with Cal Cosmo.
You gotta hope that he's back sooner rather later.
But again, it's it's touch and go.
They have to be careful with him because for the Lakers, it's not so important that he's there for the 1st 4 games of the season.
It's important that he's there for the long haul, that he is able to play for the remainder of the season, that he's not going to re injure that because look, a stress injury is one that could wind up causing future problems if they don't let it heal completely.
Okay, and that's the concern with Cow Koosman.
Okay, you've got to make sure that he is 100% healthy.
Gonna find our poster and re tweeted from the Lakers Nation account so we can get out there on periscope will bring even more people here.
But in any event, this is ah, again.
Like I said, it's important for Cal Koosman to get better and get 100% really important for them.
J wise from YouTube, Thoughts on Daniel's and K C.
So Troy Daniels he was okay.
He didn't really stand out to me tonight.
Obviously, he's coming off of an injury.
Only he played 22 minutes, two of eight shooting, five points.
Okay, look, these previous outing with the Lakers look pretty good, right? I mean, he was gunning, put up a lot of shots, scored the ball.
But here's the thing with a guy like Troy Daniels, he's one dimensional, okay? And that's not necessarily a bad thing when that one thing that he does well is shoot the ball.
I mean, the you need guys who can shoot the ball well, on a Lakers team that have has LeBron James and Anthony Davis, that's pretty important.
Okay, you're need shooters to come out there and do those things.
But again, the problem is that he's one dimensional.
And he's going up against a guy like Quinn Cook, who's not one dimensional guy like Quinn Cook, who can shoot the three and operate out of the pick and roll.
So when you could do both of those things, like Quinn cook out, can I think that makes it kind of tough for a guy like Troy Daniels to get out there on the floor? So I do wonder where his minutes are gonna come from, and that's why I put him in that list of guys that they could cut if Andre Iguodala suddenly becomes available or anything like that, right? That's, um Yeah, that's where I met on him again.
That's nothing against right, Daniels.
He's a good player, but I struggle to see where he's going to get minutes once the game start to really count.
Okay, that's gonna be, I think, a challenge for him, Gregory Dotson said.
It's either gonna be easy or mellow.
Look, if it's gonna be one of them, I would assume like if they have the option to get both Iggy, I think would be the guy.
I think that's the guy that they would go to would be under every dollar.
I just think that that makes a lot more sense.
Um, for the Lakers, for them as a team, you know that it would make more sense for them to go get a guy who is a true wing defender.
That's what they need right now.
That's what they needed this point.
So you might as well go and uh, and get him.
Okay, so if he's available, I would lean towards Andre Iguodala.
I just think he makes a lot more sense on this Laker squad.
Feel like that. The way, uh that's gonna go.
Okay, I'm gonna send out a little tweet here on Twitter.
Just telling him, but you come join and conversation's still plenty of Lakers basketball.
Hopefully, that'll pump that up to the top of my, um, tweetdeck here so I can send them out. Yep.
I can retweet that from the Lakers nation account.
Okay, so team at Gabe said, How do you do? You think it would go in the playoffs with everyone healthy? All right, so look, good question.
How far can the Lakers go if they stay healthy in the playoffs? Right now, the Western Conference has a ton of parody.
I see no reason why they can't go all the way through the Western Conference playoffs if everyone is healthy, if everything works, If everything clicks the way that we think it can, why not? Who scares you out there? The Clippers? Are you telling me the Lakers game handed the Lakers have the advantage inside against the Clippers? I think that's a very even match up.
The Clippers have the advantage defensively, especially on the perimeter, but I think you've got an even match up with the Clippers, the Rockets.
Same thing. I think that's a team that can beat the Lakers.
But the Lakers could beat them, too.
There's no juggernaut of a team out there that you just look at and go.
Oh, there's no way they're getting past that team.
If things break right and playoff, LeBron is activated.
And, hey, if playoff Rondo is a real thing as well, I think the Lakers can contend with anybody.
Hey, if everything goes well, they could make it all the way through the Western Conference finals.
Get all the way to the finals.
Okay, I'm not expecting that.
That happened because there's so many great teams in the Western Conference.
There's so many teams that that can get there.
But again, that's not outside the realm of possibility.
And that's part of what makes this season so exciting is the Lakers have a legit shot of getting all the way to the N B A finals and things go their way.
We have been able to see it to say that in a while.
Think about that.
It's been what, six years since we've been able to say that that's not a very Laker like thing right where you can't even say that they are a true contender.
This year's Lakers.
They're true contender if they could stay healthy and if things go their way.
More comments on Dudley William A.
From YouTube said, What do you think about the perimeter defense with Bradley? So Avery Bradley.
I like it a lot.
And here's one thing, one wrinkle that you guys need to keep an eye on when Bradley's on the floor.
One of the things he can do sometimes is actually be overly aggressive on the defense event, and it causes him to pick up fouls.
And that could be a problem.
But if he tones it back just a little bit, I think he did a good job of this in the last game.
If he reigns himself in just a little bit, he avoids picking up too many fouls.
But he can still play aggressive, pesky defense.
They can force the offense to be kind of off balance, not let them really get into a rhythm.
And that's what you want.
That's the sweet spot for Avery Bradley not laying back because he's afraid to pick up fouls but not being so aggressive that he picks up needless fouls.
You need that kind of middle of the road.
They can play good, tough defense without doing anything silly out there.
So Avery Bradley, if he can play at that level, I think that's the kind of guy that can really make a difference for this team.
And I love him with that starting lineup because of the defensive potential, the offense is gonna take time.
It's gonna take a while for the offense to really click.
And in the meantime, if you can play a high level defense, you can steal wins when the offense is having a rough night because not every night is gonna look like the night before last against the Warriors.
They're not going to shoot 50 someone percent from the field every single night.
That's not gonna happen.
But if you can play high level defense on a nightly basis, then you've got a good shot of winning a lot of games.
And that's something that I think everybody that can bring.
So I like him a lot with that starting lineup.
I'd go with that for sure, Magoo me from YouTube, said Rob Lika should win Executive of the year.
I think it's gonna depend on how things play out.
All right, If you got Kawai, then yes, I think for sure Robert Lincoln would be at the top of the list to an executive of the Year.
Without Kawai, though, I think people are gonna give him enough credit for the DaMarcus cousins signing 3.
5 million for cousins.
If he stayed healthy, we I would be ranting on and on about what an amazing signing that was.
I was doing the last summer.
Okay, Just a few months ago, I was talking about what an amazing signing Cousins was at that price tag it 3.5 million.
That's an absolute steal.
And yet now pulling is not gonna get any credit for it because cousins got hurt.
Nobody could have seen.
We didn't know cousins was gonna get hurt.
It was still a great signing by Pelinka.
I think overall he's done a good job, but again, I don't think he's a shoo in for executive of the year or anything like that.
I think there's a lot of teams that have some guys and given the noise, the Clippers have made.
Maybe it's some of the Clippers execs that get a lot of that publicity, but maybe it's Lawrence Frank.
But for right now, I think Klink has got to be in what? The top five running, maybe for executive of the year for this summer.
Based on what he's pulled off.
I like it a lot.
Um, of course, David Griffin is also gonna be in there because the pelicans did some great things as well.
We'll be okay, Lotte from Facebook said.
How many games do you think the Lakers win this season? Okay, so I had Alan sleep would be ESPN on the show the other night.
And then I was on his Lakers talk show on ESPN Radio ESPN L A 7 10 and we were talking about this.
We were going back and forth about how many games we think the Lakers are goingto win and I settled on this.
The last time I looked at the over under it was 51.5.
I think they're gonna be just barely over 52 wins, and that's not that.
I don't think they can't win 60 or anything like that.
It's the load management thing.
I think there's gonna be nice for LeBron needs to take off.
Think there's nights where A D needs to take off, Okay, you have to rest.
Those guys have talked about this earlier in the show.
The most important thing is getting the guys to the playoffs healthy.
So that's why I think they're gonna take the foot off the gas pedal some nights and they're gonna rest players because it's more important to get guys healthy to the playoffs and feeling fresh.
Okay, so that's why I've got him at 52 wins.
That's where I met.
If they play like they did the other night against the Warriors, they could win Maur.
If they play the way they did against the Brooklyn Nets in China, they could win less.
Depends on what Lakers team we're going to see.
But I'm gonna say 52 winds.
YouTube has Leo Virgo.
Say, says Trevor, why do you think Captain Caruso is not showing So Captain America, Alex Caruso, Why has he not showed up? I wish I knew.
You know what? Look, the final 25 games last season we saw on Alex Cruz, so that's playing carefree.
The Lakers weren't making the playoffs, so he got to go out there and just do his thing.
He had to shoot a shot.
He had to go right.
I mean, he had to do everything he could to prove that he was supposed to be there.
And if he missed shots in the process, if he made mistakes in the process, who cares? Because if you don't put yourself out there, you don't try.
He's probably going back to the D League, probably losing his two way contract, and then you misses his opportunity to make it into the N B A right.
Does he really want a steak on a two way contract for 1/3 year? No.
So he went out there, threw caution to the wind, put up shots and did everything he could to make the team and credit to him. It worked.
He did what he needed to do.
He showed the caliber player he could be so far in a small sample size.
The biggest issue I've seen with them is is finishing at the rim, which is pretty good.
I mean, he's athletic player.
Overall, you asked me is, can Alex Caruso finish at the rim? I'm gonna say yes, but so far in preseason, we haven't seen it.
So I think it just may take some time for him to kind of get used to this team.
This squad, I can tell you one thing.
This is a guy who went undrafted.
This is a guy who scrapped and clawed his way up from the D League, has worked for years to get to where he's at to finally get an N B A contract.
So if he's not in the rotation, that's the way it's looking right now.
If he's not in the rotation to start the season, he's not gonna stop working.
That's in his blood.
It's in his DNA.
This guy's gonna keep scrapping until he does get things right.
Okay, so even if we don't think Alex Caruso is playing well right now and he's not, I wouldn't put it past saying January something like that. February.
Some injuries to hit the team, Caruso to suddenly get a bunch of minutes and for him to become Captain America.
Once again, that is, that player is in there and I think he is going to keep scrapping until it comes back out again.
So that's something that I am confident in for Alex Caruso.
Uh, Miguel Arroyo.
Okay, Good question here.
I don't get why so many people help hate Rondo.
He is a true point guard that makes things happen.
And the shooting is respectable.
All right, Miguel.
First of all, I don't hate Rondo.
Ah, lot of the other media pundits that that talk about Rondo in a negative fashion.
It's not that they hate Rondo.
I've interviewed Rondo.
He is a smart, smart guy.
He gives thoughtful answers.
He thinks the game at a different level.
Yes, he can be a little bit prickly at times, right? That's just that's his personality.
But as a person, as a player overall, I like Raja Rondo.
However, there's some reasons why you don't want to see him on the basketball court in certain lineups.
And here's the thing.
Yes, he shot respectively, well, from 3 36% last season from three.
If you would guess that Rhonda was going to shoot 36% from three, say, five years ago, people would have laughed in your face.
But to his credit, he's continued working, and now he's a solid three point shooter.
But I'll tell you the problem.
Opposing defense is still treat him like he's not.
Opposing defense is treat him like he's gonna be shooting 27% from three.
They ignore him, which means that when you've got him on the floor and LeBron James has the ball and Rondo is off the ball and he's trying to space the court and opposing defenses are ignoring him.
Unless that's a that possession is leading to a Rondo three and he knocks it down.
You don't get the benefit of having that player out there that's a decent three point shooter because all the defense is packed into the paint focused on LeBron focused on a d.
Exactly where you don't want them to be.
So that's the problem.
Okay, until Rondo knocks down enough of them until he gets the reputation is being a good shooter because right now, even though the stats say he's improved, he doesn't have the reputation for it.
You're not getting the added benefit of force basic, so that's an issue.
The other thing is statistically.
He was one of the worst defensive guards in the entire league last season.
He gets torched.
That's why I'm more comfortable with Rondo off the bench, going up against backups.
I think you mitigate the concern of the defense by having and play against backup players.
If you have a 1,000,000,000 billion starters.
If you have Rondo trying to guard Damian Lillard, you're asking for trouble.
You're just you're asking to get lit up.
He at this stage in his career, he can't stick with these top level guards anymore.
So to me, for the Lakers to have success and to set Rondo up for success, he needs to be coming off the bench.
That's where I'm at with it.
And again, that is not Rondo Heat at all.
That's me trying to look objectively at the numbers at the statistics at his role at his age.
All of those factors combined.
It makes all kinds of sense for Rondo to if he's going to get minutes for those minutes to come off the bench.
Lou Cotton from YouTube, saying KCP has been very disappointing.
Look, can't deny that KCP hasn't been, hasn't been great.
Okay, Uh, he just hasn't been KCP has just been OK.
He hasn't been the high level defender that we thought he was going to be.
Hey, uh, that's been an issue for him.
KCP has not been a great defender by any means.
He's just been okay.
He's been, in fact, last season.
Statistically, he was below average.
And that's not what the Lakers thought they were getting coming out of Detroit.
The word on KCP was this is a three and D player.
This is guy who could knock in shot from the outside and play pesky defense.
Instead, we've seen a KCP that is constantly battling for a new contract, and so he is trying to fill it up on the offensive end and his defensive game has slipped.
I hope that as the season goes on, that reverses that we see a more selective KCP that doesn't just gun for on the offensive end, and that focuses a bit more on defense because I think he there's still a good defender in there.
We just haven't seen it, and I think when he finds that good defender, that solid defensive player, he's gonna become much more valuable to the Lakers.
Yes, like Jack, Uh, clinic is saying on YouTube he is getting paid eight million.
But again, that's an average eh? NBA salary.
And so I think that's something to keep in mind.
Cash lingo from YouTube saying the Clippers might not have enough playmakers.
You can't rely on Kawai to be their best playmaker.
I get the argument and I see it. Patrick Beverley.
Not necessarily a playmaker, but when you've got guys like Lou Williams, Lou Williams, if a game is close, we're Williams.
You can stick him into the fourth quarter and he'll be the closer for you.
He'll go in and light it up, all on his own, even if Paul George is hurt.
Even if Kawai is having an off night, Lou Williams can go in there and light things up.
And he can run an offense to a degree, too.
So I agreed to an extent.
They don't have that many playmakers.
Certainly the Lakers have more playmakers.
It's a weakness of the Clippers, but I don't know that it's a fatal weakness.
I don't know if it's something that's going to stop them from being great.
I think they still can't be a very good team, Victor said.
I like Rondo off the bench thing for doing thanks for doing this late at night. Travis.
It's actually Trevor, but I'll take the compliment.
I don't mind doing that.
Enjoy coming on here and chatting with you guys. This is something.
I'm glad I was able to send this out to YouTube as well, something that we're playing on planning on continuing throughout the season in the future.
Most nights I have a guest host with me.
I have Jazz king with me and we go back and forth and we take your comments and all that.
So if you weren't familiar with the postgame show from last season, that's the typical form out of it, and we're still addressing your questions.
But we usually have another voice here as well.
Unfortunately, jazz has been pretty sick, but he is planning on being available Tuesday night for the season opener.
A couple more questions here from YouTube Social Chandra.
Is there a player out there and the Lakers should be eyeing a trade for so good question and I'm going to say no and the reason for that is because their trade assets are pretty much all tied up.
There isn't a whole lot of trades that they can actually make.
So their draft picks they'll have their draft pick this next summer.
But because they're 2021 pick goes to the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Lakers can't trade their 2020 take until after they've made that selection, which means they can't use it as a trade asset at the deadline.
They also get to flip picks or the Pelicans have the right to switch picks with them in the 2022 draft, I believe, and so that's a challenge because, well, they can't trade that pick. Then.
Okay, the 2024 draft.
The Pelicans have the right to two push that pick back one.
The pelicans get that pic, but they all look so can defer that another year, so that ties up another draft.
Basically, they don't have any draft picks that they can trade.
They've also traded away future second rounders for the next.
I believe it's three years off top my head.
There's not a lot of draft picks that they can use in order to grease the wheels of a trade.
And then, on top of that Javale McGee, Avery Bradley, KCP All these guys there's Maur.
Are all these guys on two year contracts have second year player options, and what that means is it gives them a de facto no trade clause.
Okay, because that second year option hasn't been picked up.
Let's say you want to trade KCP December 15th.
New contracts are eligible to be traded and you decide you want to trade KCP to the Orlando Magic for whatever Evan Fournier.
Never Google have been 48.
Okay, I don't know what the money even works.
I'm just throwing a name out there, Okay, you're going to try to trade him there.
If KCP says I don't want to go there, he can block that trade because what would happen is if it's a one year deal, he'd be losing his bird rights, which he got traded to the Orlando Magic.
Therefore, he is allowed to stop that trade from happening because for a player, it's a negative thing to lose your bird rights.
Uh, so that's a challenge to a lot of the guys that are on the team that they just signed have de facto.
No trade causes.
So, in other words, Rob Pelinka is going to be extremely limited in what he could do the trade deadline.
I'm more interested to see what he can do in the buyout market When players get bought out from other teams.
Can the Lakers swoop in on a player that can help them out? They landed Tyson Chandler on the bio market very early last season.
I think that's gonna be where they're going to make their mark more so than the trademark.
It doesn't mean there's not gonna be a trade can still work things out, but it's more challenging than it would be in a typical season.
Think that's something to consider their line, X 15 says from YouTube, says we have a load of guards who deserve minutes.
Rondo, Caruso, Cook, Daniel's, Green, KCP and Bradley.
Maybe even add LeBron to that makes.
Do you think we go for a first round pick from a contender or keep them all? So that's one thing, right? The Lakers potentially could offload a player who isn't happy.
Maybe you've got let's say for whatever reason, Quinn Cook falls out of the rotation and he decides, Hey, I don't wanna be here anymore, but they need a guard over in wherever they they need a guard in New York and they are interested in me and they want to trade for me all.
Go ahead and okay, A trade to New York.
Maybe the Lakers make a move like that, but again, that can be difficult to do for right now.
I think the Lakers are gonna ride the hot hand with the guard position.
They're going to see what fits right now.
It's Avery Bradley and then down the stretch.
When you in theory, when you're adding a hopefully healthy soon Kyle Koosman to the mix and your ring, Anthony Davis says, You're five.
The guard who ever going to play that spot is gonna be just whoever's been hot that game.
Maybe it's KCP okay, Maybe it's Dana Greene.
Perhaps it winds up being Avery Bradley.
Okay, could be Rondo.
It depends on who's playing well.
I think that's the way Vogel is gonna approach that, Uh, Kirby will from YouTube, says James Green, Coups 80 and McGee is the best lineup I agree.
I think that's the line of that probably closes things.
I agree with you there.
I don't think it's the lineup that starts because I think you need high level defenders taking on opposing point guards.
And that's where I think Avery Bradley comes in.
Hey, first, white Howard question that I've seen so far from Facebook.
What do you think? Howard's performance so far? So Dwight Howard.
Here's the thing about what we've seen from him.
He's not the guy he used to be.
He's not 2010 Dwight Howard, where he's gonna hit us out on the Ram.
He's wearing the Superman cape, all those things.
But I love what I've seen out of him because here's what he's done, and this is something he didn't used to do.
He's focused on the fundamentals.
When you see Dwight set a screen now, he much more often is getting good contact on the screen and then rolling to the basket.
If you remember Dwight from his previous step with the Lakers, he almost never said a good screen.
He would go to set a screen and he would slip it almost every time because he wanted the law, but the room he wanted the highlight reel play.
He would never make good contact, and it drove me crazy.
Now that he is on a nonguaranteed contract and he has to be on his best behavior and he has to do all the little things right, we're seeing a Dwight Howard that's focusing on setting good screens, boxing out, rebounding, crashing the offensive glass.
Okay, he's not demanding post touches or anything like that.
We're seeing a different Dwight Howard, and I hope it sticks.
And one thing that I think is gonna be maybe an underreported or at least underemphasized factor here is that Dwight Howard took $2.
6 million that was coming to him, guaranteed in his contract and made that nonguaranteed.
6 million to have an opportunity to prove that he still has it with the Lakers and to right the wrongs of the past.
To me, that tells me that this is a guy who's extremely motivated, that this means something to him.
Yes, Dwight Howard has made a ton of money other course of his career, but 2.
6 million is a lot of money to anybody.
You're not going to put that much money at risk if this isn't something that's really important to you.
So I am optimistic that this Dwight Howard is gonna be here to stay.
But the real test is gonna be in January, in February.
In the dog days of the season, when you're on the back to back here on the road, when guys are tired, when things aren't clicking on the court, do we see frustration? Come out, then do we see a different Dwight Howard? Then that's the big question that I've got.
So far, so good.
But what are things gonna look like when the going gets tough? Because those days will come.
That will happen.
But again, I'm optimistic that we're going to see this Dwight Howard for the rest of the season.
I'd be be very, very excited about that.
Ah, young OD official from YouTube said Quinn, Cook and Koosman, our secret weapons cook and heat up from three's on the bench.
Look, I said over the summer, Quinn Cook was my guy that I was irrationally excited about because of his shooting ability.
He is an elite shooter? No, his sample sizes and grade.
He hasn't been in the league for a ton of years.
He's not a veteran who's been doing it for nine years or something like that.
He's not deigning Green, in other words, okay, But Quinn Cook 42% shooter from three for his career last season in the 97th percentile as a spot up shooter.
And on top of that, he can operate out of the pick and roll and absolutely punish teams with his pull up game win.
The opposing big sags into the paint to cover, say, a D or Dwight Howard or whoever.
I am extremely high on Quinn Cook.
The problem is the other end of the floor. The defense.
He was a terrible defender last season.
He was just as bad as Rondo as a defender.
So something to watch.
If Quinn Cook can even be an average defender of this season, he will be a major asset for this Lakers team.
Okay, but that's a big if so, keep an eye on him on the defensive end.
Meanwhile, enjoy what he provides on the offense event, but he can do some great things.
We even saw him night before last, getting into the paint and dishing Awesome, really nice drop offs.
The Lakers Biggs Once he enforced the big to come over and make a choice.
I like what I see out of him.
I'm really high in Quinn Cook and excited to see what he can do in the regular season.
Miso Dustin said.
I still hate Rondo from YouTube.
Fair enough. Look it.
Teach their own. I don't hate Rondo.
I don't linings.
15 said Zach Norville.
Devante Keiko Costa's onto Coop.
Oh, and Alex Cruz are all on two way contracts.
Um, I wish they were okay.
With the exception of Alex Caruso, I wish those guy work guys were.
You could only have 22 way contracts and those contracts go to Zach Norville and Costa's onto to Coop.
Oh, so, Devon, take a cock.
If the Lakers release him, which they are probably going to if another team calls him up and says, Hey, we have a full time roster spot for you, or perhaps even we have a two way roster spot for you, you might walk away could happen.
Okay? I hope he sticks with South a Lakers, though.
And I hope the Lakers can keep him in their system right now.
Norville, onto the coop.
Oh, those are the two way players.
Alex Caruso is on a full guaranteed N B A contract.
Not a two way for the first time after two years.
So that's important, too.
Let's see what we got here.
We've got a few more comments coming in, and then I'm probably gonna call it a night in just a few minutes.
Here, Uh, Josh Pedroza said, why did her bench looks so average against Brooklyn? Okay, so this is something that I'm hoping to get more insight into tomorrow because actually, tomorrow morning, I'm gonna be doing a live broadcast of the Lakers ation podcast.
I'm not gonna publish the audio version till Monday because Mondays are a typical release dates for the podcast.
But if you're around, it's gonna be nine o'clock Pacific time.
I'm gonna have Joey Ramirez, who works for the Lakers and is a tremendous guy.
He's tremendous, just amazing with what he does.
He's been on the podcast before.
He's gonna come on.
He was on the China trip with the Lakers.
I'm gonna be asking him about that.
What was the experience like for the players? Because my impression.
And I wasn't on the Plains with them.
I wasn't in China with them, so I'm curious what Joey's chick was.
But my impression was that the travel got to them, and being in that situation got the play looks sloppy, especially when they went to the bench.
If you watched the second game against the Brooklyn Nets the first quarter, those starters that Frank Vogel put out there did a nice job contesting threes.
That was the big problem for the Lakers against the Nets was contesting three point shots.
They were giving a boy too many wide open looks.
So I thought they fixed things in the first quarter.
Once Vogel went to his bench, things fell apart again.
He's not gonna run the starters back out there to fix it or anything like that.
So something to keep an eye on.
But I'm gonna talk to Joey and see what his thoughts are.
So if you're around tomorrow morning, we're gonna I'm gonna do same thing.
It's not going to go.
I don't think I'm gonna send it on YouTube, though, because we're gonna edit that up, make it look pretty, all that kind of stuff.
But it is gonna live stream on Facebook and on periscope.
So if you're around tomorrow morning, it will be a great conversation to jump in on.
You guys can throw some comments out as well, and I'm gonna be talking to Joey all about that china trip.
We'll talk about the lakersroster, what he's seen from within the team and all that kind of stuff, So it's gonna be a lot of fun.
So if you're around, make sure you check that out.
All right, guys, we're going to do one last one and then I'm gonna call it a night because I need to get some sleep.
At this point, I need to get my rest, because once the regular season starts, it's not happening.
There's no way because we're gonna be all Lakers all the time.
No question about that.
Uh, so I'm gonna dig through here, I'm gonna find a really good one, and then we're gonna go from there.
Elijah Lewis said, I still hate Howard.
I could never like him. I understand.
I understand, Alicia.
Some people are gonna hang on to that dissatisfaction with Dwight Howard.
I would say try tried to forgive the guy and just enjoy the season, because now he is a Laker again.
And let's try to, uh, move forward.
Okay, so at dreads, dread result 3 46 from YouTube said, Can we keep Norville? Absolutely.
They can keep Zach Norville.
He's on a two way contract.
He's with the Lakers.
They will hang on to him.
I think they're going to develop him in the G League.
But again, we talked about this to start the show.
Good way to close the show.
I think they've got something.
I think they have found something here in Zach Norville. Again.
I'm not expecting to see a lot from him this season.
If you don't hear from Zack Norvell a bunch.
If you're not following the South Bay Lakers and you don't see Zack Norville doing much okay, that doesn't mean he's dropped off the face of the earth.
That doesn't mean he's no good.
This is a veteran Lakers team, okay? They need to win games right now.
They don't have time to develop rookies.
I'm expecting telling Horton Tucker to spend a lot of time in the D League as well.
OK, they need veterans out there who can win games right now.
That does not mean that Zach Norville is not good.
We've seen him play well, okay? And I'm expecting good things out of him.
It just might take a little while, but yes, I think the Lakers have found something, and I think, ah, year from now, two years from now, he could be getting really minutes for this Lakers team.
And that's exciting for a guy who went undrafted.
You found him for free.
You didn't even have the burning traffic on him.
That's that's incredible.
Amazing. All right, guys.
Oh, last thing Vector from YouTube.
80 falls down too much.
100% vector. I agree.
It it takes my breath away.
Every single time he hits the floor, I go.
Oh, no, it freaks me out.
Okay? It just it does.
And maybe that's just because I'm gun shy after what happened last season with so many injuries.
Gosh, it worries me.
It certainly does.
I hold my breath every time he hits the floor.
Hopefully, he stays healthy.
Um, he's been actually fairly healthy over his last few seasons in the n B A.
So again, fingers crossed.
Hopefully, it stays that way.
