I just wanted to do a quick preview of tonight's Thursday Night Football game.
The chief's versus Broncos.
This is brought to you by the Iraq Sports Network.
A swell a sportscaster.
Um, excuse me as well. A sportscaster.
And from the finish line podcast that makes you follow us on Twitter at Finnish sports New podcast every week.
The one that we just drop drop Wednesday.
So check us out.
Um, so I kind of want to go through Ah, few different things about this particular game.
Who's gonna win? Who's gonna lose as well as, um, you know who I think fantasy wise, you should start and who you should sit.
Um, I think this is going to be a good game fantasy wise, but the Broncos, just because of the dip, pleaded defense that the Chiefs have.
I think if you you know, if you look at the preseason, um, debuts are, you know, the preseason look of all of these games you would think on their calendar can see the Chiefs will say, Oh, this is definitely win.
Um, I don't think it's that easy.
This time around, you gotta hobble Pat Mahomes, who with his ankle not being 100%.
It limits his ability, his mobility.
Um, And with his moment mobility limited, it prevents him from making those great passes that we've seen have do outside of the park It.
So how do you think Von Miller and that that never defense is going to do well against them? I don't think they're going to shut him down.
You can't shut down Pat Mahomes.
You could limit him, But you can't something down.
So you know, when you look at their defense, their fourth ranked in in the NFL right now, the Broncos, even with a tool for record, they have before break defense.
Which is pretty solid that, you know, the Achilles heel for the Chiefs is their defense there 27th ranked defense and the league, and therefore to that's not good for playoff looking Super Bowl wanting toe win team.
Um, which is why I'm I'm going to say if you have a ah Phillip Lindsay on your roster or voice Freeman, you definitely got to start even one of them.
The Chiefs have had no stop for the DIF or for the run offense at all.
For the last four weeks.
They gave up 104 100 yard Russians other than Josh Jacobs and weak, too.
He had 99 yards like Come on.
I mean, you know, Marlon Mack lit them up.
Uh, you know, the last time they played in, it just seems like they're unable to stop the run, which is causing them to lose games right now.
Um, you know that like I said, they are for two.
But the more running they can do.
Like against his defense, though the longer that have the ball.
So the key things for the Chiefs to win this game, which I actually have the Broncos winning because of the fact that they're low hobble, is the Chiefs have to be able to control the clock.
Um what Pat Mahomes being a little banged up and, you know, trying to figure things out with his health.
In their defense of help, he's gonna need to keep the ball in his hands.
And the way the injury defense or offense is set up, everything is a highlight play.
Everything is a big play.
You know you got your deep threat to re kill back.
But that's not how you should play this game.
Um, the best way is to wear down that defense, and by wearing down the defense, you'll have to make sure you take it play by play step by step, and you allow yourself to continue to have the ball in your hand the moment that you allow that offense of the Denver Broncos to get back on the field.
Um, you're gonna make your defense even tired, more tired than is already going to be going up against Lindsay Royce Freeman.
You know, Joe Flacco court, Ms Sutton, and, you know against Manion Sanders.
They're going to struggle, you know.
So I would say so far is like people who you should start and who you should sit.
Um, if you have Emmanuel Sanders.
I know he hasn't been that great this season on the last two weeks.
Um, he was a little ah, beat up the first those last few weeks, but I think this might be a week where he has a favorable matchup against the secondary with the Chiefs.
That just hasn't been that great.
You know, it hasn't been good enough for them to shut down certain receivers.
Um, and even with that, like I said, you got to start a Royce Freeman or Phillip Lindsay.
They're both gonna probably have really good games, because if you look at the game they had against the Coats name Heinz, Jordan Wilkins and Marlon Mack are had solid games.
And with the Broncos, the way they run the ball, Philip Lindsay's is due for a big night.
Last week, he had 70 yards for 14 rushes.
He's averaging about 4.
7 per carry, which is pretty damn good.
And I think that is what's going to take them over the top against a team like this.
Um, and Philip Lizzie's doing this against good defense is, too.
So imagine the defense that they have that Phillip Lindsay is gonna have a really, really great night.
So, you know, this week I'm starting him as my RV one or R B two.
I think right now with Christian McCaffrey and I'll come are both on Ah, about a week.
This is this might be a time that you want to start a film lenses in your lineup allow him to get, you know, get those points.
Um, I mean, overall, he's He's gotten over seven points a game so far, but in other than one game, he has already scored over 10.
So against the Green Bay Packers, he had 29 against a Los Angeles charges.
He had 24 last week against Tennessee and that defense, he had 15.
Um, and he's he's also receiving back.
So he you know he'll be getting catches outside of the backfield for those dump downs for those check downs.
So, you know, make sure you look out for him now.
Rhys Freeman, on the other hand, he's more of your ground and pound.
He's going to get some snaps.
He may not get a CZ much as many snaps as Phillip Lindsay, but Royce Freeman also is a good receiving running back.
So if you have them, I might start him in your flex position if you don't have ah, Phillip, Lindsay, Um, but last week against Tennessee, he had five targets, five receptions from 42 yards, and he also had 34 yards rushing.
Like I said because of the defense that we're going to see against this, chief, um, that they're gonna be able to bring I do see a ah, really big game forward screaming.
And I think that if you if you look at how their defense is set up right now, with all the injuries and everything is gonna be extremely hard for them to stop the run and having the Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay, um, you're going to be able to get a lot of points from those guys tonight.
Um, a 1,000,000 Sanders.
I'm still on the fence about, but I think you should start him just because you got to start a guy like a 1,000,000 Sanders who's such a highlight threat, and he'll be able to, you know, produce at a good level.
It's just he hasn't had that game yet other than the one game a week two of the Chicago, which I don't think anybody was expecting him to have that kind of game against the Chicago defense.
But, you know, you never know what we're going, what we're going to see from there.
And so far as the stand is looking different, Broncos are, you know, two games out of out of first in the A, F C West.
The charges. They look terrible.
They're tuning for Oakland Raiders three into, and the cancer chiefs are foreign to Oakland's coming off a bye week, and I think they will be able to win that game.
I think they play the Packers this week.
Um, it is on the road, But I think that Oakland team has something available on their offense and defense, which is Dice Take up in those guys where they'll be able to, you know, kind of wear down that Packer's defense and allow themselves to win a game.
Might be a close one, of course, where Aaron Rodgers is always gonna be a close game.
But, you know, I think I think they will win that, Um, overall, though, even if you look at last year's game, um, the Broncos rest of Chiefs, the Chiefs from 1 30 to 23 against the Broncos and, um, is something ah, you know, to pay attention to It was a close game.
Um, and I think that this Denver Broncos team is slightly better than what it was last year.
Um, the defense may not be as great as it was last year, and you know they didn't win that many games.
But I think having an additional quarterback like Joe Flacco, who has championship pedigree, who has an EVP pedigree, he gives you a chance to win every time.
And I know what people a lot of people are like.
It's Joe Flacco.
But you know, Joe Flacco, statistically throughout his career, has been a pretty solid player.
Um, and I think this might be a good time for him to actually show up against a team that has pretty much struggling.
Um, you know, last week he had 18 complete sense for 28 attempts.
They didn't do that great and fantasy.
So if you're looking for a fantasy Q B two star, I wouldn't start Joe Flacco tonight.
I don't think he's gonna have that solid of a game.
I think the ah you know, the chief's defense is still good enough to get you a sacker to, um so you know, I wouldn't play because I don't know how heavy they're they're passing.
Offense is going to be this week.
Um, but like I said, Pat Mahomes, you got to start him.
You know, he's gonna have a great game.
Um, and let's talk about that side of the field and who I would start on that side, You know? Of course, Pat Mahomes is gonna have to start for you.
I think he has that.
The an opportunity tonight to to do something against ah depleted second day for the the Broncos.
But again that Marco still have before frank defense, even with injuries, and I think that they'll be able to play and match up well against them.
I think the biggest guys to wreak you three kills probably have a hell of a game.
Um, just because of how this defense plays, you know, that they might throw some zone coverages at you, they might throw some man, Um, but to Ricky was such a threat, a big play through it is gonna be hard.
Um, you know, to keep them for now.
And when you look at the passing yards that they've been given up, it has been to some teams that are pretty, you know, you would think they would pass even more, but this is probably gonna be the highest powered offense they've seen.
Um, and we'll see what happens against them.
you know the Kansas City Chiefs on a two game losing streak and differs on a two game winning streak.
Um, and I think Denver has a hot hand right now.
I think they're playing well.
I think they, uh you know, they're pretty healthy on the offensive side of all.
Now, I think Emmanuel Sanders is definitely a go for tonight so that that's gonna allow them Thio, open up that offense a little bit for him.
Um, and when you think about just in general, this entire, uh, the defense, you know, of course, they're banged up where they don't have a job for the rest of the year.
But von Miller, having Von Miller on your team is always gonna be a solid.
He's always going to get you those points.
And she may need, um, and and allow you or, you know, give you an option toe win game.
So if you do have, um, Denver difference, I'm a starting tonight.
It may not be a ah, high scoring game.
It may be something where it's around 14 to 21 point score, but it may be some turnovers, you know, now that, uh, that Pat Mahomes has had his first pick, which I don't know if I would never necessarily say it was on him.
But, um, you never know what might end up happening with this team.
I think this Ah, this team for the Broncos allows youto win because of how good their defense is.
And if their defense can step up and play well, then you never know what might happen.
Um, so we definitely see what happens.
I'm actually going to probably start the Denver Broncos defense and one of my leave and and that should, you know, kind of give me a little boost.
I'm starting to make the team in the league that I don't have, um, any losses in, so it's kind of a gamble.
But last week against Tennessee, they scored 24 points.
Um, so you never know what you're gonna get with this Denver Broncos defense.
That was the most fancy points they've had all season.
But I think because of a hobble, uh, Pat Mahomes, who may not be able to roll out of the pocket like we're used to seeing him do it might be a time for them.
Thio, take advantage, especially being at home, have a home home field advantage.
Um, and I think just going into this game, you look at a defense going a forefront sequence that's going up against the number one passing offense in the league.
Um, and it's going to be extremely difficult for them to get going because they don't have ranking 24 ranking in the Russian game.
You can see Chiefs are, and I think that that kind of hurts them, too.
They can't spend the run, and they also can't run the ball.
So what's your next step? You know what I'm saying? Like there has to be something in order for them to ah, produce and do well.
So let's now McCoy, Dan Williams, Damian, Damian Williams and Darryl Williams will see what and re decides to put in the office for them, you know, I'm foresee is probably gonna be a lot of screen passes.
A lot of check now is possibly, but they gotta establish the run.
If they can establish the run against his defense, then they may have a chance of winning.
Um, and like I said, don't don't get me wrong.
Pat Mahomes and his Chiefs offense.
They definitely always have the chance of winning just because of high powered high power.
They are how quickly they can score.
Um, but I think if this becomes a defensive game, the Broncos, we're going to definitely take advantage and they're gonna win the game because they'll be able to control the clock with their running game there.
I can say that the two headed course with of Phillip, Lindsay and, uh, Royce Freeman is this is kind of unstoppable once, once you get into a rhythm of it.
And I think that if they don't have an answer for Phillip Lindsay, um, they're they're definitely going to stroke.
You know what I'm saying? So, um, over Although I think this is gonna be a good game, I'm excited to watch Thursday Night football.
A lot of people don't like Thursday Night football, but I kind of like I think it gives the, you know, gives me another day throughout the week where I could just sit down, watch the football game and enjoy myself.
Um, and of course, Sunday, you know, we're gonna come back Sunday morning and give you guys from inside about fantasy do's and don'ts.
Who to start? Who? Who to sit.
Um, but again, Like I said, I think, um, film Lindsay, You definitely gotta start him. He's gonna have a huge game.
My guess is this defense, and if you're looking at three kill, I would definitely go with three killers.
Well, it and Pat Mahomes don't start Joe Flacco.
I don't think he's gonna have that good of a game.
He's very sack prone.
Just because he doesn't get the ball out of his hand quick enough sometimes.
So you might see a few sacks.
And, um, overall, the Broncos, they won two straight games, shutting out the Titans.
You know, um, just, you know, allowing themselves to get a lead, continue to keep that Lee and then also just just playing 20.
Well, office good enough so you can win a game.
Um, so I'll actually probably come again for a postgame tonight.
Just to kind of talk over what? What went well, who won, who lost, um, and where they go, go for it.
Because right now, the chiefs don't have a bye week until we 12 so they got a little bit of time before, you know, Pat Mahomes can actually rest.
But having the stars in my game gives them a week.
And I have to kind of regroup and recalibrate and get their team.
