What's up, guys? So another interesting day in the NFL today.
Jalen Ramsey was traded to the Rams 24 just a whole of first round picks.
Um, the Rams also traded Marcus Peters to the Ravens.
Thio, clear up that roster spot.
Clear up some cap space as well.
Um, so interesting turn of events that, uh, it leads a lot leads to a lot more questions for the future.
Um, specifically for the rounds were also just the NFC division in general.
And like the playoff picture going forward, So run against that.
Break that down a little bit.
So looking at the Rams and what his trade means for them.
So obviously, Marcus Peters is not what he used to be.
Um, he's basically washed up.
They got word to him and replaced him with one of the best young corners in the league is only 24 years old and undoubtedly a top three corner in the league.
I'd say top to honestly between him and Gilmore.
Um, but the thing that it does for them that will be interesting in the future is it's gonna lock their cap up, uh, pretty heavily in about a year because they have girlie.
Who's the second highest paint running back in the league? He was the first until Zeke this year.
Um, they got Jared Goff, who did just signed to that really big contract in the preseason, and and they have Brandon Cooks who's one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league.
And then they'll have Jalen Ramsey, who's gonna be looking for a contract extension and, as we said, is one of the best young corners in the league.
He's gonna be looking for a big payday, and it's gonna be hard for them to t o end Aaron Donald, one of the best defensive tackles in a week, and he's getting paid a lot, too.
So they they have a lot of money issues that are gonna arise here in a year.
Um, now what? They should do what they can do to get around this.
What I think they will do is they're gonna they're gonna end up trading brain cooks.
Um, Cooper Cup has arisen this year as one of the best wide receivers in the league, and Robert Woods is, you know, maybe not as good as bringing cooks but he's still very, very good wide receiver, too, for any team that he's on.
So having cup and Woods, I think they can ride with that.
And I'm gonna be honest now.
This is a long shot because I don't know how many teams would actually want to take him because of the, uh if we're mentioned money that we're talking about here.
But girlie, he's kind of got them in a bad spot is gonna got them back to the corner.
Um, especially if they want to pay Ramsey in the future because they're paying him all this money.
He's the second highest paid running back in the week, but he looks like you can't even play a full season anymore.
Um, ever since the playoffs came around last year for them, it seems that girl, he's been injured and there's been talks about him having arthritis in his legs.
Hey, just missed last week, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, and you know, it's looking like that.
We already knew he was gonna be on some type of load management type program to keep to keep him healthy so that if they did make it deep into the playoffs again.
If they went to the Super Bowl again, you know he could play.
But it's getting to a point where it's almost like a liability because you're paying so much for this guy and he can't even see the field.
Or he has to miss, you know, x amount of games each season.
It really, really, um, screws with the Rams and their plans for the future.
So girly is a guy that if I'm the general manager of the Rams, I would be actively trying to trade right now.
Um, now that being said, win, Ramsey can play when he's, you know, even if he's at 85% he's still one of the best.
Probably, we'd say Top 10 running back in the league.
Um, so what are they gonna do to to, you know, fill that gap? If they did trade him away, I don't know.
Hopefully they could look for somebody in return.
Ah, that they can ride off of.
But it really makes it interesting for the playoffs going forward because the rains were such a lock to go back to the Super Bowl, right? Everyone thought the ransom and go back to the Super Bowl.
And as the last few weeks have shown, when girl he's not there when Jared Goff doesn't have a star running back and I don't just mean when he like when the run game is going like about Malcolm Brown and, um, What's with the hair? Harold Harold Soon, Uh, they're not, you know, even if they get going, it's not gonna help Jared Goff.
He needs a star running back.
He needs the girly that can score four.
The hope was, I'm guessing with this trade.
Is that Jared Jail Rams? You will at least make a difference on defense for them until Clay Matthews comes back, you know? But I got to say, I don't think it's gonna be the change.
I don't think it's gonna be some turnaround, you know, trade that they're hoping for.
Um, jailer ribs. He is great.
And even the dolphins proved earlier this year who maybe, you know, the blueprint that they're following because of dolphins.
Did it trade for make a fitzpatrick that honestly, yes, you can make a big trade like that, and it does make it.
It's gonna force you to basically trade away guys that you've signed for a lot of money.
Brennan cooks and talk early, you know, because you can't trade and our intern, Donald, you can't trade jail rooms.
You know, um, and you can't let a walk.
So you like, you gotta you gotta re signed.
So they're gonna have to treat somebody in order to clear the money or or they're just gonna have an atrocious cap It, um and I just don't think that it's like a game changing defensive, you know, trade that's gonna turn their season around.
So he said, Let's get into everyone asked NFC going forward because even though I still think the Rams, we're going to have problems, they still probably you're gonna make the playoffs.
But they might not, because the way I see it, there's literally about maybe 12 teams in the NFC that have a chance of making the playoffs this year, right? Four of them play in the same division, and that's the NFC North.
You got Green Bay, you got Detroit, you got Chicago and you got Minnesota.
All four of those teams have a legitimate Bible, you know, chance at making the playoffs.
Now I know the Packers Air five and one there at the top of division right now.
But we'll watch that Detroit Green Bay game last night.
We know that they got a little bit of help from the rest, and really, the Lions were the better team last night.
They should have won that game.
Uh, even the lines Games Lions game against the Chiefs.
The Lions, realistically, probably should have won that game.
I don't think that there was as much referee interference that some people want to think in that game.
But if they could have just limited, even had one less turnover in that game, they they would have beat Kansas City Chiefs.
The written lines are really good team.
The only the only game were they disappointed was Week one and when they had the tie with the Cardinals and that definitely again, talking about playoff seeding makes things interesting going forward.
Any time that a team has a tie in this record it it makes it really weird, especially when you get to those like last wild card spots.
And there's like four teams fighting for the succeed um, so the Lions are team, definitely keep an eye on.
Hopefully they stop getting screwed by the rest.
The Bears, uh, they're they're the one team that I think, if anyone from that division, you know, Yeah, if you have your say, who's the worst team from that division, it's gonna have to be the Bears just because they're often their defense.
They're often so just It's not up to par.
It's not up to par with the rest of the teams in their division and in the NFC.
And now they're missing Mitch Robiskie.
And, you know, unless the rumors are true and they make a trade and, you know, say they get fucking Cam Newton, a name I've seen throwing around, said they even get Andy Dalton somebody that is just good enough.
Better than Chase Daniels on offense like then they become maybe the second best team in that division right behind the Packers.
The Packers are still a good team.
Yes, they have been.
I saw stat yesterday.
They leave the league and beneficiary calls from the rest.
That means that the team they're playing against got penalized and they got yards out of it.
You know, specifically first downs as we just saw Monday night, and the Lions are actually ranked last in that category of benefit fishy ery stats.
Um, we're beneficiary calls.
So although they although these things do happen statistically for the Packers, there still a good team.
Any time you know you have Aaron Rodgers, you have a chance at making the playoffs.
Um, our head of the North.
Right now there's five and one.
They've already racked up a division win against every team in that division.
Um, Aaron Jones is good.
What's in the Jamal Williams is good.
The defense is probably one of the better Green Bay defense is we've seen in a long time, even though they're still not great.
Um, and then Davante Adams is coming back, and eventually, um so that's a bit, but that division is is honestly in my eyes.
You know, the records don't show it at the moment for each team.
That division's wide open because even the Vikings, another really good defense like them in the Bears, probably have the two best defense is in that division.
And if Kirk cousins can't keep it up, which, as I mentioned, I do not think will happen, I'm pretty sure these last two games were out.
Liar performances because he burnt the Giants in the Eagles.
But if he could stay at least decent enough, you take 200 yards, you know, two touchdowns a game average and then Dalvin Cook does his thing.
The Vikings, you know, Bacon.
Come on top of the North, um, or even take a wild card spot.
So literally all four teams and in that division have a chance.
So then let's go to, um, the Rams that we were talking about earlier.
Let's go to their division, right? Uh, their divisions a little bit more tighter.
Their division again.
Minus the Cardinals who have also racked up two wins in a row.
No, and had to tie.
Their division is also wide open because you got the you got the five and one Seahawks, and then you got the five and 40 Niners.
And then you have the Rams, who are 33 now.
And even though they have the worst record, surprisingly, they still especially the jail Randy tree.
They still have just still have the potential.
The opportunity to jump ahead of either one of those teams either Seahawks or the 40 Niners.
They have lost to the 40.
Niners obviously just lost the 40 Niners, um, and to the Seahawks.
So that hurts him going forward.
So they need to win those division games.
But you know, there are about a hit the bye week coming up here in a little bit.
And if they can turn things around very quickly, especially after this trade, it could make a huge difference for them.
Hope that the 40 Niners and Seahawks who tender they seem to have a little bit of, ah, a harder schedule going forward in the second half of the season.
Um, and now the 40 Niners charities their bye week.
So they're gonna be playing 10 games straight.
They they They could hope that those teams, you know, kind of had a little bit of a roadblock and a naked bacon jump ahead of the standings.
Uh, well, like there are only two games behind either one of those teams.
They still have three wins.
So you mean they're not far off and again, it's another division that's very close.
That's already Seventeens and then FC that could see making it.
And I don't even need to do a whole in depth analysis of the 40 Niners.
Um, you know hasn't even been great yet.
And we've seen what he can do before he looks still timid there in the pocket.
So once he comes along, they're probably going to get better.
Run. Game is amazing.
Kevin Coleman's back.
40 nines are really, really good team.
And then you got the Seahawks with M V P candidate Russell Wilson so that, you know, there's that that you don't even have to explain that Tyler Lockett.
They lost Wilt easily.
Still got to win against the Browns, though, without on Sunday.
And Chris Carson is, you know, running the ball well.
They're very good.
Run, heavy team.
Um, so, yeah, that's seven teams ready. Let's go to the NFC.
Go that is he East.
This is a division that's a little bit more.
Um, it's still close, honestly, just sat ing.
It's kind of like the F C North and in the ER.
Yeah, it's kind of like the F C North, where all four teams just kind of they're not.
It's not that they're bad.
Well, the Redskins are bad.
Giants are pretty bad, too.
But the Eagles and the Cowboys, the upper half of that division.
They're not bad teams.
They just have some major major flaws.
Um, and they had the same record.
The Cowboys and Eagles are both three and three.
The Giants are only a game behind them.
They're too, too.
And, uh, for today two and four.
You have the rescue rescues.
You don't have to mention that they're not coming anywhere near the playoffs.
But even the Giants, by some Miracle of God good.
Find a way to turn their season around.
And, uh, let's just say I want Daniel.
Geologist lights it up.
Uh, say Quan Barkley comes back.
Evan Ingram clothes back.
Sterling Shepard comes back and the Giants offense six lights it up, even with the holes that they have in their defense, and they start racking up wins and the Cowboys and the Eagles continue to lose games that they should probably be winning.
The Giants could somehow and again in the evening, things to go perfect in the other divisions.
Like we said, you mean the 40 Niners and the Seahawks already have two teams right there that can make the playoffs, But the Giants could sneak ahead and win the East.
It's totally possible at this point, time for the Giants to sneak ahead and win the East.
They need to get some big wins, for sure, but they have a lot of moves coming up.
Like I said, say, Kwan being the biggest one, Even Evan Ingram was a top five tight in the league before you hurt a lot of things coming up that be a shot in the arm, just like Sam Darnold this past weekend for the Jets.
Then could be a shot in the arm and literally turn your season around and say they make a trade.
They improve something in their secondary.
Um, you know, I don't know who else is really on the block at this point, but, um, the Giants yet like that could literally it's literally possible for them to sneak ahead and win the NFC East.
Because the Cowboys, I would really know what what they're going to do.
It actually looks like to me they are They're the team right now that just praying to hit the bye week because day need a break.
They need arrest.
They need to recuperate.
They need to re evaluate everything that is going on.
They're losing two teams that they should not be losing two.
And, uh, Dac has looked terrible the past few weeks, especially against the Packers.
I don't care if you threw for 400 yards or whatever.
Uh, he threw four picks.
It just looked bad.
Uh, Zeke has just not been getting going.
You just paid him that big contract, so you need him to get going.
The only bright spot was was their defense until they just got ripped up by Sam Darnold in the Jets.
I mean, I'm trusting.
I'm very happy that Sam Darnold didn't but that they should have been able.
That's a team that they should be.
Honestly, is the Jets, like the Jets were Oh, and Flood before they should've beat the Jets? Um, so they're just they just need to get the bye week.
They need a fire.
Jason Garrett. That's really what they need to do.
Um, maybe Cuba More isn't the offensive guru, though He thought he was, um Well, yeah, they need to reevaluate, and, uh, they need to turn around quick or things are just going to keep going downhill for the for the cowboys.
Now, the evils are a conundrum right now.
Um, they're in such a report.
Peculiar situation, situation.
It's just They're the team that really needed to get jailer Ramsey. Right.
Um, there's a team I thought was gonna get Jalen Ramsey.
I thought they were gonna offer the fuckin, you know, house for that man.
Uh, just get Ram Popper just bigger, because they literally did offer the house.
Um, but day there's 33 They have bean teams that people thought they were going to be like Green Bay.
And they're losing the teams that they should probably be beating, like the Vikings last week.
And they just seem to be on and off all the time.
Now, a couple of their losses, like the Falcons, lost another game.
They should have one.
They've had injuries.
They had a lot of injuries to Sean faction.
The Sean Jackson is still not back.
He's only played in Week one about inter week seven.
And he's doubtful for this for this for this week.
Um, so that's a big hit.
That's your deep, your deep threat.
Um, Shawn, trust me, the Sean Jackson is a lot better than an AG lore.
A lot better than, uh, what's his name? Fuck.
Drawn a little mind block right now, but you know what I'm saying to Sean Jackson is your best option is your best threat in the deep all Alshon Jeffery. Good, Consistent.
Good. Red zone. Target tall.
Um, but the the wide receivers for a really good wide receiver corps on paper is dropping the balls.
Is dropping the ball a lot specifically in that Falcons game.
You know, we saw all the agg war jokes and the guy making the video about kitchen the fucking baby out the window.
Uh, he said he didn't drop it like agar.
They just for some reason, um, and I know one of you know my affiliates.
I unwrap the filly Philly Pod.
He breaks down the videos and shows older drops that the Eagles have had the past few weeks.
And that's a lot.
It's screwing Carson Wentz over because he's making Carson Winds is playing.
I think he's playing great.
I think he personally is playing at the EVP level again, or at least close to it.
But his wide receivers are just not finishing place.
Remember specifically in the game against, um, the Lions that they that they had, He had some amazing throw where you know, we got out of the pocket.
He's scrambling, throws it downfield, wide open touchdown.
It just hits this guy's hands like a brick and just fucking bounces to the ground.
And they're just they're literally fucking Carson Wentz over and they're fucking themselves over because they have a way better record.
Even with out to Sean Jackson.
Alshon Jeffery, They almost beat the Falcons.
They should have beat the Falcons.
And Zach Ertz is there.
We didn't mention Zach Ertz and Golder who are united, pronounce his name.
The only flaw that the Eagles really should have is their defense and their secondary.
And until they were missing Ronald Darby this past weekend so you can let this loss to the Viking slide, but they really would have benefited from a Ramsey trade just because even locking down the number one option on a team or even if I saw somebody say what you should do is have Jalen Ramsey cover the number two receiver and then just double team the number one wide receiver if they could add Ronald Darby and somebody else double teaming the number one wide receiver while Jalen Ramsey covers the two that instantly changes the eagle season around completely.
So the Eagles fans I've seen on Twitter are angry as they should be.
Now, we don't know what went on in the discussions.
We don't know what the general manager of the evils truly offered it.
The Rams offer was huge.
I mean, we're talking fucking huge.
You saw the amount of draft picks they got.
Um, now, I don't even know how you know what the Eagles draft situation looks like.
Um, but you gotta ask yourself your fear, an Eagles fan, would you have been able to make that same trade at the Rams made? Um, I think Yes, honestly, if I'm an Eagles fan, I would say yes.
We make that trade 100 out of 10 times or 100 out of 100 times.
Um, but, uh, Yeah, it's just very disappointed.
I also just want to touch on the markets.
Peters to the Ravens, part of the trade for the Rams.
Uh, that's a good move for the Ravens.
You know, Marcus Peters isn't what he was.
As we mentioned.
It's The Ravens have a lot of flaws as well in their defense.
So I think it is a viable, um, upgrade.
Ah, and change in their secondary.
So I like that trade for the Ravens.
But so, anyway, embassies, I still think the Eagles are gonna win the NFC East.
Honestly, if I had to bet money on it, they're just a way better team.
There's There's so much talent.
I'm gonna figure they're gonna get it.
They're gonna figure it out at some point.
But if they can, man, they need to make.
They need to make a trade on defense.
They need that trade for somebody.
Jalen Ramsey was there, you know, that was supposed to be there.
Saving Grace, um, sucks that they didn't get him, but ah, they're still they still have a lot of potential, obviously, especially just with the amount of talent they have on wide receivers.
They have running backs that they have.
Um, so I still think they're gonna win the Nazis, so we'll get Thio The last team Turtle has division NFC South, This division.
Ah, uh, this is only one I'll.
There's maybe two teams, two teams you can count on this division.
Uh, they have a chance.
The Saints, who are Lily one of the best teams in the NFC in general.
Uh, also 5 to 1 record at the moment for no.
With Teddy Bridgewater starting, um, probably would've being the Rams had to.
Bree's not gone her, but no.
Sure, we could have if ands and buts.
Um, but there is a very I think they got the NFC south unlocked.
Um, uh, like unlocked.
Because once you're breeze comes back, you know, they actually only get better.
Um, their defense has been amazing, especially in the secondary.
Um, Michael Thomas has been amazing.
Jared Cook is scoring touchdowns again now and now we know they have a fucking good backup, so it literally doesn't even matter if Yu Ri's isn't there.
There's still a good team.
Um, so I think they're gonna win at Sea south.
The Carolina Panthers, They could sneak into a wild card spot there.
Ford to At the moment they got their own problems to address A soon as Cam Newton says, he's healthy again.
Already here in the trade rumors of teams that would be interested in trading for, um, titans, specifically the Bears.
Like we said, Um, which would be interesting seeing as how they traded up for Mitch Strabinsky.
Um, so the Panthers are very good team.
Chris McCaffrey, another M v P cannon on that team defense has been very solid.
Kyle Island, who I think should stay the starter has been really good.
Um, there they're five, you know, just going back to last year or five.
No, with him, um, as a starter.
And they think it's definitely sticking to a wild card spot there on a buy this week.
So that's good for them, you know, recuperate.
I know Chris McCaffrey has been running a lot of the only two team, the only team that has seemed to stall him a little bit.
They have already played twice now and will not play for the rest of the season, so I expect huge things from him for the rest of season is an M.
P, um, campaign and specifically for my fantasy team.
I would love for him to continue to keep this up, but, um rest NFC South Falcons Buccaneers.
No chance, Jamis about will be gone this year.
Dan Quinn is about to get fired.
Those two teams are fucking Rex.
Um, well, the books are a wreck.
Their good defense.
Good defensive coordinator.
They have a good head coach, the quarterback.
Little if they had a quarterback.
Everything about the book turned around because they have a good defense.
They have Chris. God wouldn't Mike Evans.
Maybe they'll trade for quarterback.
They should just trade James Winston for for Cam doing.
Trade him for fucking Andy Dolan.
Trade him for Eli Manning like hand you one.
I think at this point is better than James Winston.
You know you're gonna let him go anyway, So might as well make the trade.
And then, you know, I'm sure team would love to have James as a backup, but I don't think you'd be a bad back up for somebody like the Giants, Um or or the Panthers.
Honestly, now, do you want to trade cam for Jamison? Uh, no, not really.
But, you know, if you add something else into the trade to make it worth their while, I could see it.
Um, but the buccaneers should do that because, honestly, if they did that, if they got if they even got Andy Dalton somebody who just, you know, is a little bit safer with the football and a little bit more confident with the football, that defense is good enough, especially in the front seven to just carry them and, you know, win them some games and possibly make the playoffs.
So that's what the Bucks should do now.
The Falcons, their Dumpster fire.
They need I They should be way better than the art offenses find.
The defense is awful.
They have a lot of injuries.
Um, but Dan Quinn, I think it's time for getting Quinn to go, but, um, looks like caution.
Here was the reason that man Ryan one EVP and they got two Super Bowl.
But, um, anyway, that's that's by my talk.
My Ted talk on General Ramsey trade.
And just where leaves the state of the NSC going forward.
So I think, uh, we tally them off.
Right? So we had four teams in the NFC North.
We said three teams in the NFC Um uh, What is that? The West NFC West? It's what, seven teams? Then we'd say two teams and then I see East has nine teams with the possibility of the Giants.
Maybe we'll say 10 teams, Um, and then two teams in the NFC South.
That's 12 teams.
Like I said, I got about 12 teams and if the Bucks make a trade, they would sneak up in there and then it be 13 teams.
Um, so that's the state of Tennessee East.
It's gonna be a wild ride.
It's gonna be a great season.
Very excited to see what happens.
I'm hoping the Bears make make a trade for a quarterback or the Bucks make a trade for a quarterback because that just makes it even more interesting.
Um, let me know what you guys think at Charley Pell HQ on Twitter that C h a r l i e p e l k.
And just let me know.
You guys think about everything that I just said and they were watching
