What's going on, everybody? It is every day ff be getting back to you guys.
Um, let's talk lions, baby.
We've been waiting for this all Sunday at least mean probably not you guys, but, you know, I've been I've really been waiting for this game, looking forward to it.
The Packers in Lambeau.
It's gonna be a tough matchup.
It's gonna be great.
I think it'll be a shootout.
I think it's gonna hit over.
Um, this game is gonna be awesome.
Ah, just some quick NFL news and notes.
Ah, keep tightlipped.
Star cornerback for the Eagles has been placed on I R um Amar.
Mari Cooper's question availability has been questionable for filling the matchup in Philly this weekend so he may not suit up.
Um, Russell Wilson has overtaken Pat Mahomes in M v P.
Betting, and that's about it.
Um, Bruce Arian said he's not mulling a quarterback change.
And also it's Jamie's moving forward.
All right, that's that. Let's talk lines.
All right, here we go.
Um, the Packers are on a current little win streak.
They've won one in a row, I guessed, but they've won four out of their last five.
They were hot, opening the season up with winds against at the Packers home against the Vikings.
And then they took down Denver, which was relatively easy than they lost to the Eagles, which showed their vulnerable.
Then they had a bounce back win at Dallas.
But you know, Dallas just lost two yesterday.
So if Dallas can lose to the Jets, then they've lost three in a row.
I don't consider them a good team.
I don't consider that a good wits or really, the Packers haven't played a solid team.
And since the 1st 2 weeks of football, they are not gonna have to Vontae Adams.
They're not gonna start all savage there.
Rookie star safety.
And it's gonna be tough.
Sledding for them is a home games, though, which benefits them.
But the last 44 games, the Pakistan point lines their own for lines are have one last four, and they've outscored them 126 to 51.
That is brutal being a Packers fan, but as a Lions fan.
How long or how, How long can this streak last? I mean, when's the last time lines ever beat the Packers four straight games To my dear, I can't remember it.
I bet yours can't either.
But it's been a long time.
I hope for sure we could do it.
We could get it done.
Um, we got hopefully Gary Slain will be back.
I assume he'd be back.
He was questionable against the Chiefs game.
Then he had a whole bye week to rest.
I'm not even had a bonus day on the Sunday to rest up.
So he's got a game on Monday.
I really expect to play, but he still is questionable.
The lines are 3 to 1 against the spread, which is kind of good, I guess, for betting purposes the Packers are for and one against the spread, though.
So both teams are very, very good against the spread.
I guess you could say over under center 46 a half.
I've already said I think that's gonna be over.
I My prediction.
I'll just say it right now.
I think it's ah gonna hit over And, um, I think Ah, the line through to take this one straight up.
I think you could plates.
Ah, that's funny.
On the Moneyline for the lines might be a bit of a stretch, but they couldn't get it done lately.
And that Lambo Field has not been what it has, uh, in past year, so that that's good with for the Lions.
The Packers do have a new head coach, though, so, um, this will be interesting.
We'll see how this goes.
Jamal Williams is expected to play to Ah, Aaron Jones is coming off a amazing four touchdown game in which he just went crazy.
Both teams are running about 70 plus plays per game, so I expect, you know, each seem to run over 70 plays.
And, ah, that's about that for just little notes.
But the Packers let's talk Packers Now.
They're averaging 23.
8 points per game.
That ranks 14th in the NFL before Sunday.
So I'm not too bad.
You're right in the middle of the pack.
A pretty good considering, um, but could be better considering Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback.
They're only allowing 18.
6 points per game, which is weird because that's a three ranking top 10 for the Packers defense.
The Packers usually don't have a stud defense, and Rogers is left Thio, use his arm and carry the team himself.
But now it's looking like the defense is carrying Aaron Rodgers.
So ah, it's interesting to see how the tables have turned for this Ah team and how their defense has really improved in.
Rogers, you know, has slowly declined, I guess.
Ah, he's not been playing the best that he has.
Ah, 113 107 past yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions, so he could definitely do better.
We've seen him do better, had no touchdowns last week.
There were all to Aaron Jones rushing touchdowns.
Ah, the third down conversion percentage is only 30% 300.
5 which ranks 27th.
So if they want to get it done in Lambeau tonight, they're gonna have to get it done on third down.
That would be one thing toe look for, um, if they convert a lot there down's, then this. Could.
This game could go south fast for the lines, but hopefully they'll be able to stop them a dust thing cause Mike Daniels, the guy we acquired from the are picked up from the Packers who was free agent who got cut.
Ah, he's not play, but maybe you give us some game tips on inside.
You know how to block the defensive linemen.
All that good stuff.
The Lions are not lines.
The Packers allow only 258 past yards and allow 138 rush yards There.
Run defense is atrocious.
The run defense ranks 31st Almost dead.
Last dead last is the chief's.
So not quite there.
But they have been pretty bad as of late, and the Chiefs just let Carlos Hyde run all over them.
So, uh, I think they'll stay in 32.
Unless, you know Carrie, I'm goes crazy, which I could definitely see.
Um, Aaron Jones.
Yep, like I've mentioned before.
He's coming off a four touchdown game.
That's his first was career.
Obviously, he's absolutely caught fire.
Last week against the Cowboys, he looked phenomenal.
He's really been the law.
He's really picked up the loads and Davante Adams went up.
Our got injured, not went off, but, like one off the field, I guess, Huh? So the Packers, some of their grades by profootballfocus their overall greatest 15th as opposed the lines whose 13th So I don't know Ah, there are offenses ranked 20th.
The run block is right 23rd and their past block is ranked 13th.
So yeah, obviously there, right in the middle there.
But they can be a lot back.
So, um, that will definitely be some stuff.
You'll want to look forward to see how their run block will do.
If Aaron Jones can, you know, be successful again tonight.
Ah, the run defense or their defense in general is ranked 12th.
The run defense is atrocious, ranking 31st.
Their pass rush and coverage is very good.
The past rushes ranked top 10 and being ninth, and their coverage is ranked Sepp.
So they definitely could cover guys.
They have good edge defenders, but they're missing Darnell Savage their safety.
So I could easily see Kenny Golladay getting over the top or Marvin Jumps were both deep threats.
Um, Marty, Marty Jones.
Jimmy Graham has been averaging 12 everything.
He has 12 catches, 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Devante, Ed's not gonna play, so we're gonna have to see guys like Marvin are Marvin and the s step up that I'm really screwed me up on my notes.
But and Geronimo Allison? Those guys will have to step up.
I think, uh, Aaron Jones will be the X factor for the Packers, will you say, But it's really gonna come down Thio.
You know if the line's beat themselves, because that's what happened when they played a game last.
The Chiefs. They beat themselves.
They had two fumbles inside the red zone, especially a crucial one, and carry on Johnson, which leads 1 99 yard touchdown for the chief.
So none of that silly lines, old line stuff.
That's old lines.
That's the early two thousands.
90 late nineties lines.
We are the 2019 line, so let's talk about the lines now.
They are averaging 24.
3 points per game.
That's right around what the Packers were averaging, but the lines are 13th in that category.
They allow a little bit more points.
8, ranking eight 23.
8, ranking 18th.
That's the about appoints a lot on my phone to come up for a quick minute. Sorry about that, guys.
But they convert third down 38.
2% which ranked 17th considerably better than the Packers.
But not good overall.
There still in that bottom half, they could do a lot better.
And so third down will be the telltale of this game.
I do believe they passed for 280 yards a game, rushed for 120 yards a game and on Lee allow 200 less than three yards, which, you know, is it that good? But stock? Awful.
Our past coverage has looked good as of late, especially last week or two weeks ago against Pat Mahomes and his ah, speedy receivers.
So the lines overall grade for pro football focus is ranked 13th.
Their offense is ranked eighth.
I think it's gonna be, you know, a tough matchup. We see.
Ah ah salad offense first, you noa salad defense.
I think this is weird because normally it's the lines with a little bit better of defense.
Even though it's hard to see a lot lines having a good defense last few years, it's all right.
Hi, shoot up games, too high powered offenses in two weeks.
It's kind of like a high powered offense of high part defense, but high powered offense on the lines.
The high powered defense on the Packers, so and it's gonna be interesting to see who's really gonna have to step up in this game.
So I think there will be some players that are gonna have to make a difference.
You know, carry on. Johnson.
I think this is his time.
Too shy. He's got a great matchup.
Um, hopefully he bawls out tonight and gets us this stuff.
Mets de effort in a clean pocket.
His pastoring is 1 19.
2 That's very good.
When he's under, pressure only dips to a 67.
3, not the worst in the world, as opposed to Aaron Rodgers.
He is in a clean pocket.
His average is a 103 and then when his body's under pressure, it dips to a 77.5.
So a little similar Stafford is better.
When he's clean, though, which is interesting.
So hopefully that offensive line the Lions can keep be a good pass block and I'll ask Stanford to be not touched and you know have clean passes.
The lines haven't passing the ball 58% of time running at 42% so we do run the ball dese.
It's pretty balanced as most teams brawn the ball.
You know, no high thirties and pass the ball in the low sixties.
Lines are passing in the high fifties running high, low forties.
So it's We're more of a run team, I guess, which is good.
We're trying to establish the run, which actually we finally have, which you know, is good to see as being a Lions fan.
Um, are run defense and our pass defense or pass rush has not been the best or run these ranks 25th.
Somebody is better than the Packers, but it's still very, very bad.
Our past rush ranks 23rd.
Um, I could use some, ah, train flowers and it could use some, you know, uh, Mike Daniels and are just We have a stud line that's just not shown up, and they really need to trade Flowers has not done much, and, ah, he needs to really step up for the lines.
I think he, uh, hopefully he will tonight, uh, one.
Coverage has been very good, especially since we added Justin Coleman.
He's been a very good quarterback.
He's been punching balls out, just looking great.
He's been a stud for the lines, especially last two weeks against the Chiefs.
You looked very, very good.
So hopefully you do the same against a receiving corps with out Monty at.
So, um, that's about all I got for the Lions Packers game.
I hope the lines when I think they are gonna win, I see a Lions victory of, you know, I'm gonna go 31.
I think it would be a pretty high scoring game.
31 27 lines when I think the Packers are gonna hang, that could be a high scoring game all around.
Dory They covered.
They went out right.
They hit the over all that.
So it should be a clear day and green Bates has 50 degrees out, a little bit chilly, but you know that's football.
50 degrees and sunny are perfect.
It'll be nighttime, so it won't be sunny, but it'll be good weather.
So that's all I got.
Thank you guys for joining me, and I'll be on later to do my waiver wire pickups and ah, tomorrow to do my weave our pickups and I'll be on later tonight.
Right after this game ends, I'll be doing a full recap of it.
Hopefully, I'm freaking out.
I'm not freaking out, but just, you know, happy.
We won the game and not upset because the lines had a flag picked up on them or a really, really dumb called by the coach or a stupid mess up by the players, which usually happens.
So fingers crossed.
