Welcome in Lakers Nation.
It is Game day. That's right.
Your Lakers had taken on the Golden State Warriors tonight in preseason action.
Gonna be the fourth game of preseason.
We're gonna talk about some things that you need to watch for in this game as work preparing for the regular season First, a quick shout out to our sponsors up time, energy drinks.

All right, so three things that you need to keep an eye on during Lakers versus Warriors tonight, I'm gonna be looking for a lot of different things, but three things to focus on.
Well, I guess really the first thing doesn't have to do with the game itself, but it's the most important.
That is the health of some of the key Lakers.
We're going to be hearing today about scans being done on Cal Cosma and Anthony Davis.
Cosmo still recovering from that stress reaction in Anthony Davis, dealing with what we think is a somewhat minor thumb sprain.
But the big question is, will they be ready for the regular season? I would not be surprised if we've seen the end of Anthony Davis for the preseason.
We'll have to wait to get the results of the scan.
But I'm not expecting to play tonight against the Golden State.
Warriors will see again exactly the extent of the damage that was done, but hopefully, both will be there to start the regular season.
Man fingers crossed Lakers Nation after all the injuries they dealt with last year to start this season off with injuries to Kozma and now Davis, DeMarcus cousins.
Everybody else who's been hurt.
We haven't seen Jared Dudley or Quinn Cook yet because they've suffered injuries and then Troy Daniels is well getting injured.
It's been a rough go, that's for sure on the injury front.
So can these Lakers stay healthy? And I guess, for the game tonight, can the Lakers get everyone out of their healthy gnome or injuries to key players? They can't handle this there can't be any more injuries, so hopefully they can get through the game tonight, injury free, and then get some good news on Anthony Davis and Kyle Kuzma, as well as Jared Dudley, Quinn Cook, Troy Daniels, all the rest of the guys that are dealing with injuries.
One big thing that I'm gonna be looking for in the game itself is the guard play. Look.
Javale McGee has done a great job.
I think he has seized control of the center battle.
There was a little bit of a question.
Is it going to be JaVale starting? Is it gonna be Dwight Howard? I don't think there's any doubt at this point.
It's going to be JaVale McGee.
He has been out playing Dwight Howard considerably.
Not to say Dwight Howard's been doing poorly.
That's just how good JaVale has been.
So I think he has seized control the center spot at the guard position.
It's anybody's guess at this point, there is nobody that is really stepping up and staking their claim to that starting guard spot.
We're assuming that Kyle Kuzma will not be in the starting line of at least begin the season because he's recovering from injury, so that opens up on opportunity for somebody to start up top as the guard.
We've seen Avery Bradley in that role.
We've seen Rajon Rondo.
We've seen we've seen a number of pieces pushed in there, and nobody has really grabbed that position.
Nobody has played well enough to stake their claim to that starting role.
So the question is over the remaining preseason games.
Does anyone step up and really prove that they should be getting that starting job last game against the Brooklyn Nets in China? And look, there are a lot of factors you're playing in China, the travel, the geopolitical situation, everything else that was going on the last game.
Alex Caruso, Zach Norville, Danny Green and Rajon Rondo were a combined three of 27 from the field.
That's not going to get it done.
Look, Avery Bradley has done some good things on the defensive end, but he's yet to hit a three.
There's been some drawbacks to every player.
Nobody has really stepped up and seize control of that position, so starting tonight against the Warriors will see if one of these guys is able to step up and really take control of that battle to be in the starting lineup right now.
If I had to pick, I'd probably go Avery Bradley.
But we're sort of seeing a lot of Roger on Rondo out there as well.
The last thing that I want to mention is I'm curious to see.
How can Frank Vogel tweak the defense a little bit to prevent three's actually thought the Lakers did a really nice job adjusting last game during the first quarter when Anthony Davis was on the floor along with LeBron James, they had a little bit more length.
But then, once they went with those guard heavy rotations out of necessity when a bee was out of the game, LeBron was out of the game and they didn't have big wings to turn to because Cosmo is gone right now.
Dudley's gone, and they were small with guards.
They were really struggling to close out on three point shooters, giving up a lot of open looks.
So what can Frank Vogel, who is known as a defense first coach? What can he do to try to prevent threes? Because we know the Golden State Warriors cannot come down, so it's gonna be interested.
It's interesting to see what Vogel does tactically in order to help the Lakers to prevent three point shots.
That's gonna be key for tonight's game.
Alright, guys, let me know where you think.
Where do your thoughts, What are you looking to see in tonight's game? And of course, we're all keeping our fingers crossed right now that those scans of Kyle Koosman, Anthony Davis come back clean and show that they are going to be ready to play for opening night in just about a week.
