Hey, everyone, thanks for tuning into another live stream of my Sunday NFL recap, so just going to get right into it.
A lot of good games today.
We'll start with the game that started the earliest in Europe between the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Final score was 37 26 Panthers over the Buccaneers.
Quick takeaways from this game.
We got the bad Jamis Winston today.
Apparently good James does not fly internationally.
He finished with 400 yards passing, but 30 of 54 passing for 55.
6% completion percentage.
L said five interceptions, just one touchdown and five interceptions.
That is just awful, and he was sacked seven times.
He had a pass rating of 46.8.
This game, the Panthers Only one by or the Buccaneers only lost, I should say by 11 points, and they had a muffed punt as well.
Even with Jameis Winston playing as bad as he did, the Buccaneer still had a real chance to win this game.
If they get even just an average Jameis Winston.
Just not the bad Jameis Winston.
They probably win this game.
Kyle Allen on the other side of things played pretty well.
20 of 32 227 yards passing.
He had two touchdown passes.
He didn't throw any innit interceptions, Which again, is very important.
And when Cam Newton's ready to come back, if he's ready next week, there's a legitimate question to be asked about.
Does he deserve to start over Kyle Allen? The team's been undefeated ever since Kyle Alan came in, and that includes being the Buccaneers, which last time Cam Newton played, which was weak, too.
They played the Buccaneers and the Panthers lost the Buccaneers.
Chris Godwin continues to look incredible.
He had 10 catches for 151 yards, couldn't find the end zone, but still great day for him on the Carolina side of things.
My reminder to do my sportscaster video on the Carolina side of things.
No one stood out greatly.
Moore had a nice game and seven countries for 73 yards.
Curtis Samuel had four catches for 70 yards.
He also had one rushing touchdown on eight yard carry.
So it was a good game from fantasy wise, but no one had incredible game.
Christian McCaffrey 22 rushes for only 31 yards, got a touchdown pass, but still that speaks more to Kyle Allen to is that Christian McCaffrey could have as uncharacteristically of a day is possible, averaging just 1.
4 yards per carry.
And Kyle Alan was still able to lead the Carolina Panthers to a win.
So really good game from the Panthers Overall toe win.
This and the Panthers are right in the thick of things to be in playoff contention in the NFC, moving on to the Seattle Seahawks and the Cleveland Browns.
This was a game that early on it looked like the Browns were going to just run away with this one against the Seahawks.
I believe the score at half time was, Yeah, it was 22 18 at halftime.
The Browns at one point or up, 20 to 6 and the offense and the second after us could not get going.
Seahawks kept playing well throughout Baker.
Mayfield, again just did not have a great game.
He was 22 for 37 under 60% completion percentage, he had three interceptions, and the Baker Mayfield from last year is non existent.
He looked like a completely different player This year.
He is not playing, obviously nearly a CZ Well as he did last year.
Nick Chubb had another big game.
He had 100 22 yards on the ground on 20 rushes.
He had two rushing touchdowns.
He had a long of 52 actually, in a few pretty decent gains on the ground.
But still, he played well.
I'm only caught six of his 11 targets.
He did have 100 1 yards receiving, but no touchdowns.
The rounds were just a big disappointment.
They play the Patriots next week.
I got to say, that's gonna be a loss, Although I would like to see the Browns upset the Patriots.
I just don't see it happening.
Freddie Kitchens is already kind of on the hot seat.
And if the Browns don't make the playoffs, even if they finish seven and nine, I think there's a good chance that Freddie Kitchens is gone after this year.
The Browns have spent too much time.
They've done too many good moves to be in the situation that they are right now.
They're currently two and four.
Luckily for them, they're division as a whole has not.
No one's taken off in that division.
They saw a very legitimate chance to win the division.
On the Seahawk side side of things, Russell Wilson had a pretty good game.
Completed just under 70% of his passes, 295 yards passing, two touchdowns was sacked three times.
Chris Carson was a big help on the ground.
He had 124 yards on 24 carries, plus a touchdown.
The Seahawks are, I guess, still second in the NFC West, because the 40 Niners beat the Rams.
I'll get to that in a little bit, but Seahawks are legitimate playoff contender as well.
And let's move off of this game.
We're going to go into the Texans and the Chiefs how Chiefs have lost two in a row, and I did not think this was gonna happen.
The Patrick Mahomes only threw for 273 yards, which for him is not that great.
He only completed 54% of his passes.
He had an interception thrown in this game, which I'm checking right now, I believe.
Yeah, this is the only interception he's thrown.
Was this game and he got off to a really hot start to start the season.
Chiefs have lost two in a row Now.
They had Tyree kill back.
Tyreek Hill had a pretty good game.
He was targeted 10 times.
He had five catches for 80 yards, two touchdowns along of 46 on a touchdown.
It was a pretty incredible play by him.
It looked like it was gonna be an interception.
Tyreek Hill just outjumped whoever the safety was on the Texans.
I'm blanking on his name and made a pretty spectacular play.
But the Chiefs are in some trouble because their offense, which for the 1st 3 weeks of the season looked so great or three weeks or was it four weeks? And I was I think it's four weeks, 1st 4 weeks of the season now three weeks of the season, because fourth week they beat the Lions and they put up 34 points with Patrick.
Holmes didn't have any touchdown passes, which we thought was impossible to happen.
He had three touchdown passes today, but still just not a great game from him.
Not a great game from anyone on the chief's really Texans do Shawn wants and had a pretty good game.
Completed over 70% of his passes.
Had 280 yards passing, had a touchdown, did have the two interceptions, but still guided the Texans to a win.
Carlos Hyde of a huge game on the ground with 116 yards on 26 carries.
DeAndre Hopkins had nine catchers on 12 targets for 55 yards.
Didn't have a touchdown.
He also to drop in the red zone, which is very un, DeAndre Hopkins like.
And he's had a few drops this year where in years past, I just cannot remember him really, ever dropping the football.
He has probably the most surefire hands in football, and for whatever reason, he has struggled a little bit of drops this year.
So that's something to keep an eye on.
See if that continues heading forward.
Texans are in a really good spot in the A F C South, though they are sort of in the driver's seat right now for playoff positioning.
If there is a driver's seat after six weeks, next up, Redskins and Dolphins.
I don't even want to talk too much about this.
These were two winless teams.
This was the first time since I believe, 03 year 04 that two winless teams have met this far into the season.
Redskins won at 17 to 16.
Someone had to win this game.
Josh Rosen played so poorly for the Dolphins that he was put on the bench and Ryan Fitzpatrick came in for him.
When Ryan Fitzpatrick came in, the Dolphins actually moved to football a little bit better.
Rosen finished the game 15 for 25 85 yards and two interceptions.
No touchdown passes.
Fitzpatrick had 12 completions on 18 attempts for 132 yards and a touchdown.
Past Dolphins look better with Ryan Fitzpatrick in.
I don't know if that's the best move for them going forward, though.
They don't exactly want to be good moving forward, so we'll see what happens.
But I'm not going to analyze this game anymore because no one watched it.
Sorry, Dolphins fans and Redskins fans Next up.
Minnesota Vikings handled the Philadelphia Eagles very well.
That was a game that on my picks yesterday, I chose the Eagles, too.
I think the Eagles were three and 1/2 point underdogs.
If I remember correctly, I thought that the Eagles, we're gonna win this game not just covered the spread and the Vikings, they They played well.
Kirk Cousins played well in hindsight.
Maybe should have seen it coming.
The Eagle secondary has been really bad this entire year, and Kurt Cousins feasts on bad secondaries.
It's good defense is, and even just average defense is that he can't do anything with.
But he took the Eagles secondary behind the Wood shed and just killed them.
So good game from Kirk Cousins.
Stefan Diggs had three touchdown passes, three touchdown catches.
Wow, I can't talk right now.
And, yeah, Vikings are still contender for a playoff spot.
The NFC is really loaded.
You have the NFC West, which looks like it's going to be could potentially have up to three teams get into the playoffs with the Rams.
I know they've lost three in a row, but they're still three and three personals.
Sean McVeigh is their head coach.
I'm not going to lose complete faith in them Seahawks who look between the Seahawks and 40 Niners.
I don't think the Rams we're gonna end up winning the NFC West, but one of the Seahawks or 40 Niners is another team will most likely get in the playoffs.
But then, that leaves the question, too.
Who's going to be the other wild card team? You have the Panthers, who were looking really good, it for him to give the whole NFC North.
That's looking really good.
The Lions and Packers play tomorrow night.
Vikings are back up.
I believe they're over 500 Right now.
Yep, foreign, too.
Bears can't count them out with the defense that they have.
So there's only a lot of teams jockeying for playoff positioning them FC.
And it's gonna be pretty fun to see that down, too.
Then next up is the Saints.
They beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 13 to 6 riel defensive battle here.
Teddy Bridgewater had only 240 yards passing.
He had one touchdown sacks three times.
Gardner Minshew did not play very well at all.
14 for 2963 yards.
No touchdown passes, one interception.
Leonard Fournette didn't exactly help Gardner Minshew much.
He had 72 yards on 20 rushes.
Obviously, an Ebony tops sounds.
Nobody on the Jaguar scored a touchdown because it was two field goals for the Saints.
Alvin Camaro didn't have much of a game.
He was banged up leading into this game, so we weren't expecting too much of him.
But still, 31 yards on 11 rushes is something that if the Saints didn't have the type of defense, that they have to be really tough for them to overcome that.
But the Saints defense is real, and it's his real good.
So, yeah, Saints win this 1 13 6 They are the clear cut favorites to win the NFC South.
Next up, we have the Bangles and the Ravens closer game than the points, but I believe the Ravens were favored by half.
I had said, Take the Bangles in this one.
It's a divisional matchup.
Even though the Bangles are really bad team, just any time that two teams in the same division meet up, it's a little bit closer than you would normally expect for my own fantasy team.
Joe Mixon had another just awful, awful game.
I don't even know if I can start him anymore.
He had eight rushes for 10 yards.
That is the most disgusting stat line I have heard in a long time, and he just has to be on my team.
I should have taken Dalvin Cook instead.
Actually think Dalvin Cook was taken before I could get mixing.
But a lot of players that I could have taken instead of mixing and I just didn't Ravens Lamar Jackson had an incredible game, I believe.
He set a career high for rushing yards, 852 rushing yards on 19 Russian attempts, and he also threw the ball 33 times for 236 yards.
No touchdowns, no interceptions for him throwing the ball.
He had one touchdown rushing.
He's a quarterback in the average eight yards per carry and rushed the ball 19 times.
It is so fun to watch Lamar Jackson play.
I don't think he's one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, but excitement was.
Yet he's must see TV, and so the Ravens ended up winning this one.
They're still leaders in the A F C North and should continue.
It's gonna be a battle between the Ravens and Browns.
The Steelers and Bangles are out of the mix.
Next up, the 40 Niners beat the Los Angeles Rams 20 to 7.
Ram scored the 1st 7 points, and then they did not score again for the rest of the game.
And the 40 Niners defense really impressed me.
They had a goal line stand against the Rams, where Malcolm Brown couldn't get into the end zone, who I started on my fantasy team this week.
And, yeah, 40 Niners defense really impressed me.
Their team as a whole looks really good.
40 Niners are for real.
I said yesterday on my life scream that I didn't know if they were for real, and I would decide after this game against the Rams.
I know the Rams have been struggling, but 40 Niners look really good.
Nick Bosa he There was just this one play got Whitworth on a few plays, but there was a play where he bull rushed Andrew Whitworth right into Jared Goff.
Stared off to step up in the pocket, and I believe it ended in the sack.
I don't know, maybe golf might have gotten rid of the football, but Nick Bosa destroyed the Rams.
40 Niners defense looks really good and Rams.
I'm definitely concerned about them.
Like I said, I'm not going to say definitively that they're not going to make the playoffs, But I am not confident at all saying that they're going to, so it's kind of a toss up, up in the air, especially with all of the teams jockeying for playoff positioning.
The Rams need to write their ship, and they need to do it quickly, so we'll see how that goes.
But my biggest takeaway from this game is the 40 Niners are absolutely for real.
Next up, Cardinals beat the Atlanta Falcons 34 to 33.
This was another one.
Falcons were favored in this one, and I had said, Take the Cardinals.
Cardinals are a better team, Cardinals one by one.
So I guess I'm proven right.
I'm sure there's Falcon Sands of an argument.
No, they just got lucky.
But it doesn't matter, because the Atlanta Falcons are not making the playoffs this year, either.
The Cardinals, so neither team is relevant.
He completed 30 out of 36 passes.
He had 356 yards and four touchdowns, and the Falcons still lost.
This one is on the Falcons defense Falcons offense did all it could do.
Freeman had a nice game on the ground, especially given his struggles throughout the year so far.
He had 19 carries for 88 yards.
Julio Jones had eight catches for 108 yards.
Did not find the end zone, which starting to get a little frustrating for me.
Devante Freeman had three catches and two of those were touched down.
So really big game for him.
This is all on the Falcons defense.
And again, neither one of these teams are making the playoffs.
So doesn't matter too much.
They're both just battling for graft positioning at this point.
Moving on to the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos.
Titans were so bad on offense that they had to take Marcus Marios out of the game and replace him with Ryan.
Tannehill didn't make a difference.
Didn't matter who the Titans quarterback was.
They could not get any points, much less get into the end zone.
Ryan Tannehill finished the game 13 for 16 for 144 yards and threw one interception.
Marcus Mariota finished the game seven for 18.
That's a completion percentage of 38.9%.
He had 63 yards passing, and he had two interceptions.
He only rushed the ball two times for four yards.
Ryan Hamil had one rush attempt and beat out Marcus Mariota with six rushing yards.
The Titans are a mess.
There were some people that thought that they were an actual playoff contender this year.
I did not ever think that they were gonna be a playoff contender.
I just have no faith in the team That's led by Marcus Mariota and how they might not even be led by Marcus Mariota.
So we'll see what happens going forward if I have to guess, I would say that they're still going to stick with Marcus Mariota for next week, But I wouldn't be shocked if the North Ryan Tannehill and even if they start with Marcus Mariota if they have to bring Tannehill in again, then I think heading into the week after Tannehill becomes the starter, Marcus Mariota is coming off the bench on the Denver Broncos side of things they started off Owen, for they were a much better team than a typical oh, and four team would be.
Now the record is starting to reflect a little better.
How good of a team they are.
I still think they could finish the season eight and eight, maybe 79 They're not going to make the playoffs, but very good team.
And they're going a challenge to every team that goes up against them, so they're starting to look a little bit better.
Also, some lock is following falling.
Sorry about that, falling in their favor, so we'll see what happens.
Last of the afternoon games is my favorite game from today, the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, if you guys tuned into my livestream last weekend reacting to the Sunday Games when the Cowboys were beaten by the Packers, I went on a little bit of a tangent, talking about how Dr Prescott is an average quarterback.
How does he follow up last week's masterpiece against the Green Bay Packers? He plays the windless New York Jets with their second year quarterback returning, returning from mono, covered up in different, different pads, making sure that he won't be hit and won't have his spleen ruptured.
That's I question if he should have even played.
But Doc Prescott goes against this New York Jets defense ends up with 22 points for the Cowboys.
He completed 70% of his passes for 277 yards but had no touchdown passes on the ground.
He had one rushing touchdown.
But going up against New York Jets, he couldn't get a win.
The Jets are even with Sam Darnold, one of the if I want to be nice there.
One of the 10 worst teams in the NFL and Dak Prescott could not beat them.
The Cowboys could not beat them.
Everyone who thought that the Cowboys were destined to be in the Super Bowl after their 1st 3 weeks, when they played the Redskins, the Giants and the Miami Dolphins.
I really hope all of you are quiet now.
The Cowboys were three and three.
Don't talk about the Super Bowl right now.
Just worry about them trying to make the playoffs.
Luckily for them, they plane in division with the Redskins and the Giants.
So those Air two teams who certainly are not making the playoffs.
And so the Cowboys on Lee really threat is the Philadelphia Eagles, who, as I mentioned earlier, lost to the Minnesota Vikings.
So because the Cowboys are in such a weak division.
Look, Eagles or three and three right now, too.
And I legitimately think that when the Eagles play the Cowboys, the Eels are winning both games.
They're a better team than the Cowboys.
It's kind of bittersweet because I wanted the Cowboys to give him an extension.
I wanted them to give him a really big extension.
I really hope they still do.
I hope Jerry Jones drinks enough of the Kool Aid to think.
You know what? We should still you have my extension because he's gonna lead us to another 18 8 season.
That's kind of what Jason Garrett on the Cowboys are known for.
Right eight in eight seasons and just being average, giving their fans false hope.
This year's no different, and I am so, so happy.
I'm not a Cowboys fan.
I'm even more happy that I do not like the Cowboys at all.
And so to see them lose to the Jets and give the Jets their first win in Week six, that's pretty special.
And Dak Prescott is not special.
He is average, want spending more time on it.
Last game from tonight, the Steelers and the Chargers Steelers won the game, 24 to 17.
Philip Rivers still just is not playing well enough.
Hurting my fantasy team yet again.
Finished 26 for 44 under 60% completion percentage against the Steelers team.
That is not that good.
A Steelers defense that is not not good.
And he had two touchdowns.
He had two interceptions.
It's pretty disappointing what the Chargers are not able to do.
There are much more talented team than two and four, but here we are six weeks in the season and they're two and four.
So I really hope that they're going to be able to kind of make the adjustments necessary to adjust their season and get into playoff positioning.
Who would have thought that the two l A teams the Chargers in the Rams after having two really good seasons last year? They both made the playoffs and Rams obviously out of the Super Bowl.
Neither team is above 506 weeks into the season.
There's legitimate concern for both teams if either one of them will be able to make the playoffs.
A has two teams and we could have no playoff football in L.
Or even a team in the playoffs if they had to go travel to some different stadium because their road teams their playoff seeding wasn't good enough.
But regardless, it's pretty crazy to think about that, because the Chargers and the Rams were both viewed as two really good teams heading into this season, and they're just both struggling.
So we'll see what happens.
Moving forward, that's all for my Sunday NFL recap.
A lot of good games today.
Packers play tomorrow against the Lions.
That's gonna be a really fun game to watch.
They've looked really good.
They don't really have a weakness, a real weakness where they're not not.
They obviously have different areas where they're not as strong as other areas, but they don't have one area in their team where it's a place where you can just pick on them and tear them apart.
And so it's gonna be a fun matchup for sure.
I expect carry on.
Johnson have a really big game against the Green Bay Packers.
Unlike the Cowboys last week, I think that the Lions will stick to the game plan and will keep feeding carry on Johnson and he's gonna have a big game.
I expect their secondary to hold up against Matthew Stafford and the Lions passing attack.
It's gonna come right down to the wire.
I'm still gonna stick with the Packers to win this game, but it'll be a fun game.
Can't wait for it.
I'm sure you guys can't either.
As for tuning in and I will talk to you again shortly.
Thank you guys, and have a good night.
