Nick's family. What's popping is your boy.
We caught us a nice win last night.
I know it's just the preseason game, but I'm excited about it.
Hopefully you're excited about it.
The Knicks defeat the Washington Wizards 104 to 99 and we're gonna talk about this thing right about right about now.
Ladies and gentlemen, let's go ahead and get this Poppy there on the screen.
Ladies and gentlemen, he had a nice night last night.
Very good debut for rookie.
You know me. Very good. Debut.
He started off a little bit Rocky, but he came around in the second half of the game.
So we got a lot to talk about.
A lot to think about with this with this game here, you know, there there's a few storylines that I want to discuss.
You know, a few things that popped out to me that I thought was a little bit peculiar.
Said, I say, not peculiar.
I don't want to say peculiar.
Let me not make up stuff.
Just a few things that popped out to me.
You know that I want to discuss here today, right? Um obviously, R j bear is going to be one of those things that I want to discuss.
You know, we're also going to discuss Julius Randle.
We're gonna discuss the offense.
Some things that I've seen in the offense.
Of course, we know what happened with Mr Morris.
You know? I mean, we're gonna discuss that as well, you know? So there's some things to talk about, some things to discuss.
The phone lines are back up.
So you can call me at 5164 or 5 to 246 You can also jump into the wear by because that's back up in popping as well.
So if you wanna get in on the discussion, feel free to give me a call or join me and I'm about to say the appearing It's where by now, now it's where? By dot com slash NBK All right, so make sure you join me in those things big.
Shout out to Terry and trade.
I was hanging out with them a little bit last night.
Scott Perry, Steve Mills.
I got to meet those guys and talking up with him for a split second try to get Steve Mills to give me.
Ah, small interview.
I said, Hey, let me just get a question in two weeks.
Was having it, though.
So good, so good.
Big shout out to those guys love what they do in the next.
I think we got a team on the right path, you know, saying we got some.
They've got a lot of things to be excited about.
Ladies, gentlemen, I'm pretty sure that you agree.
We got a lot of things to be excited about.
So, folks, if you wantto if you want to talk, join me in the appearance.
You know, I'm saying, if you've got some free time, if you don't got free time, you just want to listen in.
They just listen in.
We're gonna break down some video and take a look at just some things that happened that night.
Well, first, let me just say, let me let me talk about what I was really impressed with last night.
I was really, really impressed with the defense.
I thought we played really good defense last night.
You know, I thought that, um, you know, we brought on the defensive van.
I could see the wizards, man. The Wizards were trying.
They were trying to penetrate the next wasn't there wasn't having it.
It wasn't just gonna let him penetrate at will.
It wasn't just gonna let him get into the lane.
I was excited about that because, you know, last year's Knicks would have been a lot different.
No, I mean, guys would have been penetrating up and down the floor last year's Knicks.
But it didn't happen this year.
Well, let me not say this year yet.
It didn't happen last night, Right? Last night, the Knicks played really good defense.
Um, to me, they proved to me that they had the ability if they put their mind to it, to be a good defensive team.
Like I said, I want to see these guys to be at least a top tip top 15 defensive team in the league.
Last night was a good star.
We need Marcus Morris to keep his head, but, you know, I guess, he said the message to the league that the Knicks not having it, No matter how much Kevin Durant says, it's not cool to be a Knick.
The Knicks are not having it.
Ladies and gentlemen, okay? They're not having it.
I thought our J. Barrett played good defensively.
No, I thought that.
I mean, I really thought everyone that came in and really played played well defensively.
You know what I'm saying? So everyone played well defensively, even though even though, um, Mike Hawks don't want to talk about even though, um Mitchell Robinson When Mitchell Robinson went out the game Tides Gibson, he still held it down defensively.
You know what I'm saying? So, yo, you know, there was there was some good things.
There was some good things.
I was a little bit surprised that the rotation that I seen with Kevin Nuts playing the four instead of playing that three spot.
And maybe it's because Bobby Portis wasn't there.
But Kevin Knocks played that four spot last night, played that force by, and he did well defensively from the force.
Mom, And you could see you could see the guys on the floor on the floor.
You could see the ah, you could see the energy.
Now, of course, is the first preseason game this season.
But you could see the energy right.
You could see them actually making the effort to play defensive.
Look when you're out there with guys like Marcus Morris and you've got guys in the air like Taj Gibson, the Wind, Ellen and Wayne Ellington.
Then you know you're going to Ah, it's going to resonate.
He's gonna pick up, you know, saying and you're gonna kind of be forced to play defense.
You don't have time.
They're not gonna allow you to relax, all right? They're not gonna allow you to relax.
You know, I'm gonna let market because I see Mark freaking out, you know, saying open the door.
Can I get a chance to say what's up to the crew? You know, man, can I get a chance to say what's up to the crew? Calm down, relax a little bit.
I'm gonna get you brought guide.
You trust me? I got you.
I got you, you know, but yes, I was impressed with the defense last night that we played very well defensively.
Uh, I mean, we held we held Washington to 99 points.
I think they shot 40% or below from the field.
I'm gonna look at this right now.
You know, I am gonna run down the box score and those type of things that we could take a look at it.
But, uh, you know, just for now, you run this down to you.
The soon as I get a chance to pull this up again, Like I said the next held the wishes to 99 points.
Uh, the next only scored 104 points.
After the first half, I thought the Knicks are gonna score more than 104 points.
But we had a bit of a lapse in that federal quarter.
Right after Marcus Morris went out, we kind of let them go on a run.
You know, after being up double digits, we let them go on, go on the run.
Ah, we had 11 point lead after the first quarter.
We had a 15 point lead at halftime and then we let them go on the run.
But we brought it back in the fourth quarter.
We had this much is an 18 point lead.
We held them to 35.
We did win the battle of the boards 55 54 going.
I'll show you these graphics in the second.
And only 15 turnovers.
Not a bad performance from the Knicks right now.
The bad performance from the Knicks at all.
Ah, well, you know, and look, what I can say is I do feel as though they you know, Fizdale they're listening to Fizdale.
Fizdale got these guys working and moving.
You know what I'm saying? You know, I was sitting, I was in ah, 200 section and I was sent behind the Knicks bench and I did it purposely because I wanted to be able to see well, Coach Fizdale with those guys.
We don't I'm saying I got marking a chat man soon so he can freak out, you know? You know, he's gonna come in smiling.
Happy because the Knicks got the wind, you know? You know you know, he's about to lose it.
I wouldn't be surprised if he comes, comes right in and says you'll be going to the chip.
You know how, Mark Gold.
You know how Mark does you're saying s So let me get Mark over here before I get to the box scores and stuff like that right, You know, I mean, it s so I I got to let him get it off his chest.
Mark was good. Man.
Listen, I know you were at the game last night.
You come in and say coming and say we're gonna win the chip.
This is that's what.
Next thing is we gonna chip.
Could we do that every year? I just want to talk about the rotations, that's all. Okay.
Well, before we even get to that, let me get back to you, man, because I want to go over.
You know, I'm going to go over.
Ah, you know, just some of the box scores and some of the numbers real quick and get back to you with the rotation that we could talk about those rotations.
All right, get back to you.
We'll talk about those rotations.
Let me say, what's up to Mike real quick.
What's popping, brother? How you feeling? Feeling dead.
You like glass? Nice wind.
Feel good at? Yes.
I think we saw a little bit of what Maple Mamba could do.
Okay? Yeah, we definitely did.
We saw a little bit of what he could do.
You know? I mean, listen, let me tell you something.
Let me tell you one thing and I've said it.
I've been saying it, and I think his three point shooting is going to be better in the N B a.
Then it wasn't college, and I'm not saying 38 39%.
I'm saying 33 34%.
And why am I saying that? Because he's gonna have a lot of wide open shots.
And you've seen it last night he had wide open looks.
Now, in the first half, he was like, Oh, for three.
But he knocked a couple of them down in second half.
You know, I'm saying R J Barry is going to get wide open looks, and if he knocks him down and I think he will, once he gets used to getting these wide open looks, you're going to see his his His percentage go up from the three point line.
You know what I'm saying? So so yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I like.
I like what I see from R.
J. Barrett last night.
You know, like what I see.
From what I'm gonna tell you what I was impressed with about R.
J. Barrett last night.
I was impressed with the fact that he struggled in the first half.
And obviously, you know, this is going to be an exciting time for RG Bear, right? Because it's his first professional game first NBA game.
It's gonna be, you know, he's gonna he's gonna have some nerves.
He's gonna have some energy in all that stuff.
He was able to play through it in the first half, relaxed a little bit more the second half.
Randall helped him out a lot.
I got to give it to him.
Julius Randle helped him out a lot in that second half.
You know, saying Julius Randle, uh, you know, we're gonna talk about him playing some point forward.
You know, before I get to the video breakdown, though, you know there's this, um, there's there's some things I want to get to talk about before we get to the video breakdown.
All right? You're looking at Thea right now.
You can see what the matchups look like.
The next biggest lead was 18.
The Wizard's led by one at some point during the game.
All right, you see the next shot? 41.
8% from the field.
Hopefully, that's going to get better.
Hopefully, that's going to get better.
Is the first preseason game.
You know, I'm saying, when you first get on that field court, Yeah, I don't care what anybody says When you first get on that court in a real live game, you're gonna be winded.
You're gonna be tired.
You know what I'm saying? It just happens that way Gonna be winded and you're gonna be tired.
So, you know, I'll take that.
9% from three, though there were 15 for 35 from three.
Well, see, this is a clip that we can sustain all season long.
But with the way we have guys who can post tides. Gibson.
He looked good in the post.
He composed I'm not going to say he looked good in the post last night, but he composed all right, the next 68.
4% from the three free throw line.
Gonna need a better showing the net.
55 rebounds, 58 of them were all offensive rebounds 47 defensive rebounds and exact 25 assists, five steals, five blocks and only 15 turnovers.
That's not too bad.
I still think we could do better than that turnover department, but it's not too bad.
Let's bring this back up here.
You see, the Knicks had a 27 16.
Lied in the first quarter.
Uh, the Let the Wizard score.
You know, score.
Next 27 16 leading the third in the first quarter.
And then in the second quarter, the next score.
30 points and they had a four point lead.
And, you know, they outscored the wishes by four in the second quarter, and they took what it's ago 15 point lead into halftime.
Aftermarket s'mores was ejected from the game.
You could see the energy drop.
Energy dropped a little bit.
That's what Marcus Morris brings.
Just his intensity and aggressiveness on the floor.
Makes everybody else follow suit.
Once he left the game the energy drop, they had to find a way to bring it and pick it back up.
The Knicks were outscored 29 26 in the third quarter in the fourth quarter, Knicks outscored the Wizard's outscored the next 28 to 21.
So you know the second half earnings were able just a little bit.
Of course, Marcus Morris wasn't there, right? Marcus Morris had 17 points in the first half of game, got ejected beginning of the third quarter.
I'm not even gonna show the play where Marcus Moore has got ejected.
Jody Scene that Jodi? No, No reason to harp on it.
Continue to talk about it.
Let's take a look at the box score.
As I said, he had 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Now he shot 50% on the night.
And, you know, I'm gonna look at it a little bit later as we break down film.
But I will say, Marcus Morris, I've seen Marcus Morris play, but I haven't seen him play in death.
You know, I'm saying I haven't seen a plane debt, so yes, I was pleasantly surprised that he was doing some things off the dribble in the manner that he was.
You mean, I I definitely waas running down the box scores, I said.
Marcus Morris played 18 minutes.
He was ejected in the second half the beginning of the third quarter, he was ejected for hitting Anderson in the head.
With the basketball, he had 17 points on 50% shooting seven rebounds to assist Julius Randle.
I thought Julius Randle was forcing things a bit, just a bit.
I think he needs to slow down a little bit and really look at what's available to him.
The options that are available to him.
But, well, look at that.
Julius Randle played 26 minutes.
He had 11 points.
He was 5 to 12 from the field, one for three from three.
He had seven rebounds, and he also had seven assists.
In a lot of those assists will, too.
RG buried Mitchell Robinson played 28 minutes.
He had five points, Stupid seven from the field.
He did pull up a jumper, all right, I give you know you pulled up a little mid range shot when he had an opportunity to.
He didn't hit it, But that's good.
That's okay. Long's he pulled it.
Robinson also had seven rebounds, one assist, one.
Still, he had four blocks.
He played 39 minutes.
He had 17 points to 46% from the field in the second half. R.
Bennett was, um you got it.
Got a couple of looks at the rooms and nice drives to the basket in the second half.
It was to for six from three for 33.3%.
I was Stephen five from the free throw line.
He missed him in the first half Mr Couple in the first half, but he knocked him down when he needed to 60% from the free throw line.
We're gonna need him to get better than that.
I believe he will, and he can.
I don't know what it is.
A lot of times that free throw line is mental game.
You know what I'm saying is immense of game there in the free throw line.
I think you'll get better. He'll be okay.
Bird also had seven rebounds.
He had three assists, two turnovers offered, paying he had five points.
Ah, two rebounds, five assists, two turnovers, two steals.
Frankly, Lucchino played, of course, he played the backup point guard positions that tonight Last night he played 22 minutes.
He had nine points.
He was 3 to 10 from the field, one for four from three.
When I'm okay with the fact that he took 10 shots, he's got to start to convert him.
But you took 10 shots.
He had five rebounds.
He had three assists, two turnovers, One block.
Kevin Knocks played well last night.
I thought he had 12 points.
He was 5 to 12 from the field for 41.
7% to 6 from three for 33.3%.
Kevin Knox is making it a goal for himself to shoot 40% from that three point line.
I don't know. Maybe you watched the show.
Maybe he watched the show, but he said last night, it's his goal to shoot 40% from the free throw line.
I mean, from the three point line, all right.
Kevin Knox also had seven rebounds.
Yeah, one assist, one turn over one steel tires.
Gibson had 16 points.
He shot 55% from the field.
He was two before from three.
He had nine rebounds to assist three turnovers.
Tops gives it played 19 minutes.
All right, we'll see if that we're going to see what happens when Bobby Portis comes back.
How many minutes with Tides gives him played by Bobby Portis comes back.
We'll find that out.
But if you could give us that kind of production 16 points and nine rebounds, that's not gonna be every night, you know.
But if he has given us 10 points in 88 to 9 rebounds a game, and I'm good with that from Taj Gibson ties look too young.
Now you can expect that because it's the beginning of the preseason.
You had some time to let his body heal that his body rest.
Wayne Ellington played 22 minutes.
He had 12 points.
It was four for nine from the field.
UH, three for seven from three, three rebounds, one assist.
Obviously, he didn't start.
R J. Berry started.
Barry could just knock down the three, he's going to be the bona fide starter.
We gotta get him knocking down that three Wayne Ellington.
You could seize three for seven for the three point line.
All right, 42.9%.
Barrett was two for six.
Ah, you know what our debate shot isn't broken.
He makes just one more of those shots, and he's three for six.
You know what I mean? So we'll watch it and see what happens.
Alonso Trio played seven minutes.
He had no points.
He had one rebound.
Uh, and I want to talk about that for a minute, because that was surprising to me.
That was surprising to me that lives with trade.
Only played seven minutes and we'll see what happens in the next game, right? We talked about, you know, we're gonna talk about rotations and things like that.
Um, because now is the time to write.
We went over How many? You know, we're looking at these guys minutes distribution.
David Fizdale played 10 guys last night, right? 123456789 10.
10 guys played last night in the second half.
Only nine guys plead.
So it was like he had a playoff type rotation last night.
He had a tight rotation in that first preseason game.
Obviously, going throughout the preseason is gonna be some younger guys that play and get on the floor and all that kind of stuff.
But last night he had a tight rotation.
I think you know the next wanted to get this win last night.
They wanted this win.
You want to start it off with a win? I feel like they did, you know.
So we kept a tight rotation.
But here's the thing right.
He kept a tight rotation and he still got to rotation.
Guys still got to row based rotation guys that won't even at the game that weren't even ready to play.
Dennis Smith Jr. Bobby Portis.
So the Knicks played 10 guys last night, only nine in the second half.
You still got two guys that you expect to be in the rotation that didn't play.
You know, the things start to get a little bit juicy already.
Latest, gentlemen, when it comes to these rotations and who's going to get minutes? We're gonna go ahead and get to this video chat, talk to these guys a little bit.
I want to find out why.
What they think, you know.
Why do you think trade didn't get in as we talk about these rotations? Because I found it interesting that he didn't know. It is not.
That is not lucky, Plead.
Ah, like super well or anything in the first half, you know? So I can't complain and argue about him not playing, because it's not like he came in the game.
He was just lighting it up and killing things all over the police.
We got Andy in the chat.
Of course, Markets in here.
You see, Mark, we got rise joining us.
Cleveland in the building, You know, I'm saying, haven't seen Rob Cleveland awhile looking dap it up, you know, saying looking Dapper Dan and up big shout outs of a man.
Wrong, Cleveland Chilling.
All right, let's get these guys over here and let's talk a little bit.
You know, she was going on, man.
Um, let's start off with Ron. Cleveland.
Ron was problem with your brother.
How you feeling, man? Some man? Man.
Hey, what I saw last night is exactly what I want to see.
Okay, Defense it defensive intensity to Max, the rotations was Chris even off instantly, that ball was moving a few times.
I see it get stagnant a little bit, But overall, man, I love what I saw last night.
It is exactly what I predicted when I saw that line.
Well, how you know, with the first man made that signing for them Guys? Man, I said, OK, I see.
I see the blueprint.
Anybody else didn't have to see it.
But we're going back to that nineties.
Beat him up basketball.
If you ain't, you ain't.
And if you ain't on the team will get ran over.
And that's what I saw last night, and it was evident it was evident.
And Marcus Morris, man, I already see he gonna be I m v p He's gonna be I m v p His body's infections on everybody else, man.
I mean, even Frank.
I looked out Frank was playing.
You look just like feeble Frank.
It looked just like people. Frank.
His ball handling look better.
And what I was interested to see, you know how the past two years, when he would come up with the ball, he would be quick to get the ball up.
I saw a little bit of that last night, but I saw still at times when he had the ball and when the guy was pressing him, he wasn't quick to give it up.
He still was Find a way to dribble around the guy's stuff.
So I'm seeing a lot that I like my friend Overall, man, I think we're going to surprise a lot of people here.
Don't be surprised if we make between a 60 day if Steed in the playoffs in the East would not be surprised.
Now, the one thing I'll say about Frank, you know, you know, when you say he came up in a couple of times, he passed the ball off.
But I think part of that is just the sets, you know what I mean? They did? Yeah.
I agree with you.
The Knicks last night got into more sets last night.
Then I've probably seen all last year.
They got into a lot of *** last night.
Like there was a lot of structured off.
There was a lot of structured sets last night.
You know what I'm saying? Um, you know, And, um that's good to see.
You know, saying I like to see those structured.
Says a lot of structured sets last night.
You dare, Ron, can you hear me? Yeah, I'm here okay? No, I said the Knicks ran a lot of structured sets last night.
Yeah, it looked office, the office look more fluid.
And it looked it looked more like it looked more like, like structure basketball.
And not just a u A.
Pick up basketball.
Because what I saw last year was a lot of one on one look look, like pick a ball last year.
Yeah, and rightfully so.
A lot of guys were there that you knew we were gonna be there this year.
It just our team feel more like more like a pro team.
This year is well tested.
Randall, don't be a dog.
First man at that team.
The Knicks gonna be scary, man.
We know we're not gonna be playing with people this year, and and I love that and all the people that was still worried about big name free agents.
Me personally, man, I'm glad we didn't sacrifice and blow our team up to bring in two big stars.
And then what you got after that? I'm sick of it.
I'm just thinking that man.
We just need to build it the right way.
You build to the draft and you Sprinkle in free agents.
Free agents shouldn't be the man thing that you're looking at to get you over the top.
Them days is gone.
And if you look throughout the parody of the league is coming back.
Every team now got like two superstars.
You see two superstars and you gotta have a bunch of good role players And what I see with the next we got a bunch of rules, good role players.
And you got a potential for Randall to either be that guy or even Kevin Knox.
I'm interested to see his development with Marcus Morris.
I think that's gonna be a great benefit to him.
And, frankly, Latina we would be a food not to pick up his option because that can know how to play the game the right way.
And he's somebody you want on your team.
Okay. All right.
I'm gonna get to market.
Might want to get it. Wants to get in and talk about these rotations.
Mark, who's Mark? I'm coming to you, man.
I'm coming to you right now so you can get your thing out about these rotations.
I So Mark Okay, I started five, I started Elford Pain, R.
Berry, Marcus Morris, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson Coming off the bench, I think surprised a lot of people club myself, right, cause I expected I expected Fizdale to give.
Alonzo should just the benefit of the doubt.
I'm price easy in preseason.
In preseason, I thought he's going to give him the benefit of the doubt, to be one of the first guard.
You know, one of the first guards off the bench.
It wasn't it was frightening Latina.
Those were the 1st 4 people off the bench then.
Marcus Morris is still in the game for a little while.
Playing that three spot with Kevin Knocks playing the four spot size gets him playing to five.
And then Alonzo Treater came in.
But Marcus Morris and they went small.
They went small. I guess Wayne Ellington was that.
Ah, no, our way.
Ellenson was at the three.
Frank was that, too, at the one.
Ah, zoh was at the two Wayne Ellington at the three, you know, kind of.
And then you had Kevin knocks at the four and Taj Gibson that defied that ended up being, you know.
Ah, second unit.
No, that that came in.
What do you think about that? I like what he up.
I like what he did because what surprised me a lot is how you r J or moving without the ball.
He he was just one thing I like about him last night, even when he didn't miss those four shots.
You don't worry about him when he's on the court.
For some reason, I don't do something about him.
What about the rotation? Don't talk to me about the role, Tasty.
You talk to me about the rotations, you know, tension is find the rotations.
Find for me because what he's trying to do right now is he's trying to implement.
He's tryingto he's found him, create something so we could start winning games.
Now there's more about winning games now.
It's not about winning games out.
So the reason why he sought over Frank because I tell you right now, it's gonna be hard to Anne Frank off.
If he's playing the way he's playing.
It's the defense that he brings that fifth light because off them off the rotation defensively, what he can do with them what you can do with them.
I like how I like how you had knocks off the ball.
He wasn't sleeping during again. He was moving.
He's moving off the ball.
Very, very, very, very, very well.
Very, very well.
He was passing the ball when it when he didn't have it.
You don't forget a foursome.
No dump shots at all.
You don't force up anything.
I still like how he put play traer.
And I'm seven minutes every time.
When Trey was off the ball and he got the ball, he ran like a screen for him to score.
He put him in the position with what he does best.
He doesn't right away like he doesn't hold the ball for too long.
Oh, he doesn't dribble the ball for too long.
You get it right into the action.
And so let me ask you, Why did Intria play? Why didn't sure play in the second half? What is seven minutes? You had many guards that was playing good.
I don't know what I just I don't think it's a thing that he didn't He just He just played seven minutes.
I didn't think that you didn't play bad or anything.
Just a place that you just didn't play more minutes.
Okay? It was a cohesion on the team last night.
Well, I mean, I mean, obviously it's not, and I'm sure he's going to get his chance to play in the ER, get a chance to play in the preseason.
I'm just I'm just wondering if there's anything toe, everything I think everything What? This team is gonna be situational.
That's how I feel about it.
He has so many bodies when you could choose from where if one guy's just not going right or he has Hee Hee thinking of something else to put these two guys because they look good on the phone together, he's gonna do it.
I don't think it's because you just you just by seven minutes I don't think nothing of it.
Could I think when trip was on the floor and every time you had the ball, we got right into action.
You didn't hold the ball no longer than people didn't like like like him to hold the ball.
I think he was just Fry.
Just wait seven minutes, Okay? All right.
Well, like I mean, I mean, I'm just I'm asking I'm asking because I expected him to be the second shooting guard off the bench.
Especially since Wayne Ellen's has been in the league for a long time.
And Alonzo Trays in the second year in a league I expected, at least in the preseason, that it would have been a lousy trade.
That shooting guard off the bench rather than Wayne Ellington, right? No.
So when I see, when I seen Wayne Ellington come in, I was like, Okay, all right.
You know, let me look at this.
And then I seen that shirt and playing the second half, you know, maybe as a few more questions, you know, just why that's all.
It's not that because you think trip he's gonna put, he's gonna he's trying.
He's trying to make this seem competitive.
So when the season when the season starts these teams right, that we're gonna play like Washington with this, he wants the next dumped.
Um, these are the things we have to get the window.
He's trying to make sure he put out a rotation we 10 man rotation because that's what's gonna go.
Gonna put a solid 10 man rotation week of relying on last night was just Who he gonna go forward when the real game start? No, of course you're gonna bring the shooter because Wayne out into the better shooter and trip because about a shooter.
All right, Just about a shoot.
And we need a Truman come off the back.
Well, you know, I'm just I'm just asking because a lot of people expected that tree was gonna be one of your main guys getting minutes, you know, saying and it's just the first preseason game, you know, So you can't tell anything from there, But But the reason why the reason why, though, is it is significant to me.
It's because, like, you're saying he wanted to come out and get a win.
So he played the guys that he thought was going to get him a win.
Atria wasn't necessarily one of those guys in the second half.
That's the reason why it kind of sticks out to me a little bit because I do feel like he played the guys.
He wanted to get a win in that first game to really start.
Something's off, you know? And Tria wasn't one of the guys, so it just makes me ask questions.
One thing I said, let's pray that Mitchell Robinson do not get hurt because we're gonna need another senator. Could shot block.
But, I mean, like, Shaq got blocked, like, shot block.
Been anyone? Mortem.
Yeah, you're right.
Anyway, what way? We need another guy in a backup midget? I said at the shot blocker.
No, I know, because if he goes now Oh, my God.
Well, I mean, look.
Yeah, well, you know Well, you know, let's see how it plays out. We'll see what's up.
Uh, somebody acts.
What, Alonso? Trance plus minus was last night.
A lousy actress plus minus was four was a positive force.
I was, ah, trees plus minus last night.
Uh uh, Andy, I'm gonna come to you, man.
I want to get your take on the game and how you feel what you think about tree.
And why do you think trade and get playing time in the second half was going on and how you feel? Yo, what's up? Saying happy you're joining in on my time with today.
I can join in that.
That's one, uh, and him.
How could I start it? I don't wanna brag, man, but I predicted this lineup also.
I said, like I told you, that we need this win more than anything.
And Face was thinking my way that he just played the guys that wanted to get the w for him, and we got it.
So I'm happy about that. You know it.
I know it's only a pre season game, but we saw it.
Is that, you know, he set up some things that, you know, he wanted to establish port for the season, and he was thinking about that one.
More than anything, Man didn't play more, you know, like you said, career didn't play Gigi at any minutes and stuff like that.
So he was going playoff mode and preseason game. Yeah.
Uh, now I mean, I like the rotations Kevin knocks he, you know, he played the four spot, and honestly, I think that's his future in the n b. A. Before.
I think that's his future in the n b. A.
Um, what's gonna happen when Bobby Portis comes back? You know, looking at the rotation last night, there were 10 guys that played right and then a lot.
And then in the second half, only nine.
Now you got two guys is gonna be coming back.
Dennis Smith, Jr.
What happens to the rotation? Yeah, well, in preseason, I'm expecting that the next game, we're going to see more of the young guys until you know, after half time, I think of is gonna get the chances.
It's not that the result is not gonna matter for him anymore.
You got that? That will use you wanted.
And now we're gonna have a tight game.
But he's gonna want to see and give a chance for the young guys when the season comes.
I think at the beginning he's gonna stick to the guns that he thinks they're gonna get the W's for sure.
If it's gonna be a blow out one way or another, he's gonna, you know, implement one or two guys and I hope he does it like one or two guys.
He's not gonna go like one guy from the rotation and four guys off the bench like, you know, from deep from the bench.
So at this point, I think mentions men that minutes is gonna be, is gonna they're gonna go a little bit lower.
I think college is not going to get that many minutes, and then it depends.
You know how the lineup they're gonna mesh, what opponents were gonna be playing, you know, against Because, uh, no, I was like, you said also about rear.
I was surprised that Ellington had so many know, even shot attempts.
But that has a past trigger man.
I thought I knew how he played that body.
He he had some of those shots were you didn't have the position.
You mean, you know, he was, like, just catch the ball and didn't even set his feet.
And he was already in shooting motion.
So So he has a fast trigger man, and that's gonna be a good thing for for, you know, for the guys to learn from him.
And it's gonna be useful in many games in the season because, you know, I think when when phase would see that, you know, Ellington didn't pan out, he would go, which were a little bit faster.
But, you know, at the point that it was a cold game and we're coming back.
And RG was at the shooting guard.
No, he didn't pull a guy out when he was hot and taking booked with the game.
So I'm also happy about that.
No, he didn't yank a guy for one mistake or something like that.
R J played 39 minutes last night.
Yeah, that was really nice.
Like, Okay, he's over 30 now.
Okay? Yeah. Minutes.
And to where he's gonna go out.
But we got, like, eight minutes left in the game, and I'm like, you're gonna fit in there.
You played him 39 minutes last night, but look, I mean, he did it.
He does a lot on the floor.
One thing I say a lot of people talk.
Talk about R J's ah, defense, right? He played well defensively.
He knows where he's at and his rotations, you know? I mean, you know, he's well, coach skate.
He knows where he where he is in his rotations.
He can think the game defensively.
I think that's part of the reason why he was out there.
Yes, that's to be true.
He I don't see, uh not the quickest ladder movement.
He doesn't have the quickest letter movement, but hey knows where he should be.
At least so you know he can think it through and think a little bit passive than play happens.
So he knows when to take a step back instead of on the side.
So that's why he know has, ah, little bit more defensive like you better than some of the rest of the guys.
And I'm the price knocks have that steel man on the port quarter.
I was like, Oh my God, he couldn't handle the ball And then I was like, So happy for him like that.
Look, it doesn't always take blazing speed and and all that, but it started to play defense.
Sometimes it's just defensive i Q.
Knowing understanding what your speed is and knowing I better rotate a little bit sooner because I'm not as fast, you know, seeing and understanding angles and those type of things can really get you buying a defensive side of the floor, man.
Yeah, and the best thing, the best.
I don't know, probably defense remember the guy because it's not that that that many years back, the master of that thing was probably joining man.
It was an older guy that was playing all those things, but he was taking the ball from the young cats.
Like like, if he was the no, like, he would be faster than them on stuff like that.
But he was playing with his head and he the setup he had on defense, you know, predicting the lanes, passing lanes and stuff like that.
He was a master that Yeah, Yeah, without a gun, I'm gonna come over here to ah, come over here to rise.
You know, talk to Ross a little bit before I get to rise.
I'm going to come to you before I get to you, man.
I just want to give a big shout out to people that's in the chat, You know? I mean, big shout out to you guys in the chat.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Knicks with a 109 I'm sorry.
104 to 99 win over the Washington Wizards.
That will play the Wizard's again this Friday at Madison Square Garden.
You know, we'll see.
You know the wizard's.
I'm sure the Wizards, they're gonna want to get that win.
And what is it? Definitely gonna want to get that win.
So the Knicks were to be ready to step up to the plate battle right now.
Let's talk to Ah, this'll go ahead and talk to some.
What? Some of these other guys in the chat.
We're gonna talk to Ross.
All right? And after I talked to Ross, I'm going to get into a little bit of a video breakdown.
I want to talk about Julius Randle playing that point forward position, you know, and talk about how he looked playing that point forward position.
We're gonna break down some of the things that I've seen there.
And then I'll get back to the video chat, not take a couple of phone calls.
So don't be afraid to call in 5164 or 5 to 246 Not yet.
Calling after I do the video breakdown.
All right, so let's go ahead and get over here to rise.
We got somebody else jumping into the chat and see who it is.
I tried to let him in.
Doesn't look like they're coming in, but, uh oh, Israel.
All right, there we go.
That's what's up, But rise coming to you, my man.
Ah, One second. One second.
Let me get you a muted I got Ross.
What's up Saying, How was your How was your drive back? Back home from D. C.
I mean, I'm 20 minutes from D. C.
20 minutes from D.
Man is just Ah, you know, you know, going, you know, coming home.
I didn't get home till one o'clock in the morning, so I wasn't able to be oh, little feeling for video.
But then you got to go back home, so yeah.
You know, I wanted to I wanted to get on last night, but I was like, I I'm tired.
I just get on in the day.
No, I'm saying I'll kill you.
Now that we got that W that's all we got to talk about.
That's that's what it is, baby.
We got a W, man.
So how you feel about it? Tell me some things you saw what you like. What you didn't like.
Well, first of all, first thing I didn't like was the whole Morris thing.
It kind of part of me was okay, We want to be strong.
But a part of me was also conscious about how every time we do this type of shenanigans, the first thing that's gonna be on ESPN is the next day.
So I was happy that we got who managed to get the W.
Because the haters will be talking if we wouldn't get if we don't get that w right.
It was hard for we saw a lot of good things from the team, but at the same time, we saw, like what I did like was there was a lot of loose balls in the air, like, let's say, for example, Michelle will block somebody and then they would not be a player, you know, on position to get the ball, you know? So we gotta we gotta get better at that, I think are standing positions because I saw a lot of those balls that it was just like, why did Nobody's reaching so that, you know, yeah, if if I must say this, if David Fizdale on his staff saw the same thing that you saw, they're seeing the same thing.
You see, I think they're going.
They'll let him know about it, you know? I'm saying, I think just for what I sing in this preseason game, they're a little more seriously and I mean, this is just more emphasis on these games.
Things are more intentional.
The offense look more intentional, you know? I mean things away. More serious.
I would have liked to seeing some of this last season.
We're seeing it now, and I'm happy.
So I believe if if he if he witnessed the same thing, he believes he's seen the same thing, he'll address it Yeah.
I feel like right now we're running like a like a West Coast team, you know, Let's make sure we put some of them with a lot of points and, you know, so then later on, in the third quarter, we don't have nothing to back on.
You know, we lost to lease, but at the same time, we kept afloat with, ah, once.
Once Barry came in.
I mean, our rookie rookie gave us life because that was that moment that I was just like Okay, uh, these He has good players.
They have good young players.
Are they? I don't know.
What was the white boy they had used toing threes like crazy Roy.
Oh, sure, Maura, he's gonna be He's gonna be here is looking like a like a Johnny's of the future.
Yeah, he's gonna have a young team, but like Andy was saying, we gotta win games against teams like this.
Teams that are not better than us, that they don't have the structure that we have, uh, where more is not being being on the silence for the end of the game.
It also gave a lot of opportunities to other people.
I mean, Frank, he was He was one for six, but at the same time, I love his commitment off approaching the field.
He also had a lot of good defense, Mr Robinson, That's one thing that Michelle was kind of lost out there in some ways.
Now, every time.
But I feel like Michelle should Coach should should be able to like Like, uh, we missed you in a different rotation because I kind of like, I feel like Michelle runs more with those lobster.
Three years with it are Knox.
So for Michelle was kind of different being like, not being the toll.
This guy there, you know? I don't know how.
How is everyone okay? Yeah, she doesn't like when people passing through.
Yeah, but stormy chill.
But, um, then we look good, man.
I'm just so happy we got that.
W let me to me to see the thing with Mitchell, I think is, you know, right now, offensively, the only thing he could do was run to the rim, You know, I'm saying so.
It's not like he can post, so you can't use them in the post.
The only thing you can really use him for is the screen and roll.
You can't use them for much else.
You're obviously he can set off ball screens so he can.
You can use them in a screen and roll.
You can use it for off ball screens.
So you gotta And then when What's gonna happen? Because he doesn't have many things you could do offensively.
He hovers around that rim.
That's what he's used to.
That's what he knows you're saying, because throughout his life so far as a basketball player, he's been a rim runner, you know? So when guys, they're doing something that may be so that maybe is a little bit off script, awful other than what the play was called, He's got to figure out what it being, what to do with and where to stand on the floor.
That's gonna take a little bit of time for him to learn that.
You know, last year we didn't play anything that structure, you know me so he could just run to the ramen.
Maybe just kind of standing.
See Now he's gonna have to be able to move to different spots on the floor you know he's gonna take them time to learn it.
I want to disagree with Mark and Andy on regards off Julius Randle because they were saying that there he's not too lateral.
I wouldn't go into the side, but I think it was the opposite.
There was, Ah, those its moment in the third quarter in wish he was a sausage because he was running back and forth back before he was making sure that the rookies know that.
Look, we can't lose this lead because that's one thing that I noticed that even though I think we want to leave by one point that you mentioned earlier, but we cut consistent on like Okay, look, guys, we're gonna lose this game.
Don't wait until you're 10 points down toe to react to the game.
Hey, look, we're losing this lead, so I love the way we came back twice.
That proves a lot about a team.
You don't want to go through that.
Obviously, you just want to face a team and just have to leave the whole time.
But it showed that we have guys.
Ellen's an elephant with it.
With that three point shot.
I was I was upset.
That career was in on it.
Edinson will interview Fisher.
Hey, somebody has something on in the background behind my back.
Rise could finish up all right now, but how you call it? I mean, next, fans, we look good.
Um, it was it was just amazing.
It was an amazing game.
A short with how the team is working with each other and showed the bases.
We have three different teams.
We have the veterans, we have the knocks, the you know, the three players that we signed last year we stole from the league, and now we have the young guys.
So the young guy, he's taking the role of the baby brother.
You know the meaning, brothers.
Just leading us to his making us look good in the lead here.
And he has so much future.
So I feel like now the the things we gotta do is keep the guys we have.
Um I mean, if we gotta sign and we gotta sign Frank to a six year, $6 million deal, we got to give it to him because right now we're playing.
We're still paid Noah for a bull crap contract.
So if they have to pay the guys pay the guys.
That's what I feel like right now.
We have the mantra.
We have the blueprint.
And that was just one team.
We still don't know what the the white boy Canadian can prove to us.
Iggy, we still gotta know if if we gotta trade Ah, I don't know who's going to.
The G leak of dioxin is going through the leak culling island.
Maybe Gigi himself might go through the leak because we have a lot of a lot of players, but the veterans we got it was not.
It was not a loss for us.
It was basically showing us that they made good executive decisions and I appreciate all of them for that.
That's about it, all right.
And you know, we still got a lot of season left dog way Still got a lot of season left.
You talked about Julius Randle a little bit and I want to take a look at Julius Randle and some of the things that he was doing on the offensive side of the floor, right? One of the things that I'm going to say about Julius Randle.
I felt like Julius Randle was pushing, forcing a little bit last night, you know? And I can understand it, you know? Mean he, um He wants to prove that he could be that he's ready to take this challenge on I get it, you know, mean, and it's not going to be easy.
Not gonna be an easy task for Julius Randle to take this challenge on, but I think I felt like last night.
You know, he came out with that on his mind a little bit.
Wanted to show everybody right now.
Yes, I could do this. I could be this.
I could be the man, you know, and I respect that.
He's just got to slow down.
Let the game come to him, you know? I mean, there were a few times last night.
I thought, you know, he was forcing a little bit of some of those type of things, but I don't want to start with that.
I'm going to start with the positive things that I've seen from Julius Randle.
All right, because I did see I've seen a lot of positive things.
Obviously we know what Julius Randle been doing.
That's no secret, right? It's no secret whatsoever what Julius Randle could do in the Post.
You know how much he's a beast down in? Um, but he also and David Fizdale said he was gonna do it.
Julius Randle ran point forward for y'all.
There was some a lot of times that he ran point forward in the game, you know? And I was definitely impressed with Julius Randle running, you know, some some point forward.
There's some things he still has to learn how to do it.
This is going to be a role that he takes on and he does.
Ah, a lot throughout the season.
He's gonna have to learn a few things about running that point forward spot, right? But we seem to be able to get the ball off the glass and go coast to coast, right? We see no show his passing skills, right? We see them show his underrated passing skills.
I feel like his passing skills are underrated right now.
Listen, GMO, A couple other people been saying it and we got to see it last night.
But he does have some passing skills.
And you know, he put it.
He put a couple of all on display.
What? He had seven assists.
I believe it was right.
Seven assists, a couple of those assists.
I'm going to say at least four of those assists with R J.
Buried him, and r.
J Barry seemed to have a good you know, good chemistry going on right now.
But let's take a look.
We're gonna do a little bit of choc top.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna jump in a chalk, talk for a little bit, and we're gonna talk about some things that I seen.
You know that I would like these guys, too, continue to do all work on.
All right, So let's first talk about Julius Randle.
Julius Randle at point forward.
Let's let's talk about it.
Let's take a look at some of the things that Julius Randle did at point forward.
All right? Oh, let me get my laser pointer up here. Here we go.
So we're gonna start off by this? I think this I believe this first place Julius Randle dis advancing the ball up the floor and getting the bucket himself.
You see Julius Randle right here, This Julius Randle right here with the basketball.
Now, some of this foot is, ladies and gentlemen, may be a little bit shaky, you know, We recorded it in the stands, you know, may solve.
The video's a little bit shaky. Forgive us.
Let's go ahead and let's take a look.
See Julius Randle.
Boom! He goes to the cup.
They, um And you see right there Julius Randle is a powerful guy.
You're saying when Julius Randle gets going, you're not going to stop him.
It's like it's like when LeBron gets going to the basket.
You're not going to stop LeBron from going to the basket when Julius Randle gets going.
I mean, let's let it roll, because this is what this is what I want us to look at.
You see, Julius Randle has the ball right here, out here on the perimeter, right? And you know, he's getting a little a little, a little help here from Marcus Morris.
You know, just jumble.
Jumble ing it up here.
Kind of a screen.
Kind of Just get in your way type of thing designed.
I will say that.
Well, it's just looking.
Julius Randle takes it.
Bam! Now, look! And this is basketball plays right here.
All right, Mitchell Robinson! Look, he understands what to do here.
He pops out to this little short corner.
Maybe you could pop out a little bit more, right? But then you got R.
Berry coming right down the lane And Julius Randle season.
Julie's Randall's got his head Tony season, and he hates him.
Bang! All right, we're gonna see again.
You see Julius Randle here giving the ball to Kevin Knox now Julius Randle has the ball back here.
I know he's out to seem like I said, you know, we got some amateur cameramen, okay? More women.
But it's cool. After they did a really good job.
And you're gonna see you're gonna see R J better come off a curl.
And I love seeing This is what I'm talking about.
When I say more structured office, are they better coming off this girl? Boom comes off the curl, Randall hits on RG Barry to the cup and one Ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna see it again again.
Bet so so far, you seem to a sister R J Barrett from Julius Randle.
These guys got E S P.
They got a good connection going on.
She ran to what? The sideline goes to the cup again.
He finds R J better for the dunk.
All right, Now, this is what I want to look at here because we've seen.
And you just seen some of the video where Julius Randle can run some.
He could run some point forward.
And you've seen it throughout the game where he did some things where he facilitated the offense a little bit.
I don't know if I want to say he facilitated, but he was the passer.
He was the pastor to the cutter, Okay? He was the passer to the cutter.
But here is where Julius Randle's gonna have to get a little bit better because they thought he was forcing some things right.
Um, and right here, Julius, he's got to learn to get the ball out quicker.
I seen somebody mentioned it in the chat that Julius Randle's gotta learn to get the ball out the post a little bit faster you're exactly right.
He holds it just a little bit too long now, to be fair.
You know, maybe he's not good.
He's not getting this the first time he's getting this amount of attention.
Let's take a look.
All right, You see? You know, you set the screen right now for R J. Barrett.
R J Bear is going opposite the screen s.
So then Julius Randle was gonna flare out.
RG Bear is going to get him to basketball.
Let's take a look.
All right, so you flares out, he's got the ball here, right? Hey, I wanted to get it.
I want to get it in triple threats, so we look good.
Okay, so he's got the ball here.
He sees the lane.
But what he's got to start thinking right now is not just I'm going to get to the cup.
He's got to start thinking about Okay, I got Kevin Knox here.
I got I think that's ology.
Oh, whoever that is.
Maybe it's not. Argue Barrett Elfrid Payton.
I got offered painting over in the corner.
I got these guys there.
He's got a look at that and see, because you're gonna see what happens? Let's play.
Now let's look here.
You see? I think this is Anderson.
I think his name is he comes to double.
You got a guy here waiting for him at the wind.
You got this guy dropped all the way down to defend Mitchell Robinson.
So Mr Robinson can't get the little bounce pass or, you know, or whatever pass to go to the cup.
But look out here, Kevin Knox.
This guy's what, 10 feet away from him, I think that's all for paying whoever that is over there.
I can't see who it is, his defenders 10 feet away from him.
This is where Julius Randle's gotta learn to take that take a dribble and hard and get a kick out here or get a kick out here.
You know, saying he's got to be able to see that these guys are open and get it out a little bit quicker because he's gonna be dealing with double and triple teams The way that he kills the pain.
He's a beast in the paint.
The way that he's a beast in here.
These people, these players are going to be playing off their men like crazy, and they're gonna play this pain.
He can't force it.
He's gotta go ahead and kick it out.
Boom may be bone for three or whatever it is.
You know, the end.
If they recover that, he can come right over here and post Mitchell Robinson to get out the way he comes, right back in the post to get the basketball.
I'm saying, but he's got to get the ball up, all right? And, you know, said he goes up between three people.
I'll bring it back one more time.
You see, he goes up between three people and loses the basketball.
All right, He's got to be able to get that ball up.
Ladies and gentlemen, get that ball out.
Now you're gonna see on this play here you're going to see kind of similar, but from a different spot on the floor.
Are you going to see him play a little bit of the game? Ah, with whomever.
The guard is kind of small for me so I can see frightening Latina.
Now you see R j bad looking for him in the post.
I get the ball to him in the post.
Now, this is what he's got to see, and I'm talking about this now, but I think he learns and didn't learn during the game.
So you see him here? Look at all these.
Look at everybody.
Head turned, looking at looking at him, looking at him.
Everybody's got their eyes on Randall.
Everybody's eyes are on.
You're looking at Randall looking at Randall, looking at Randall looking at Randall.
Everybody's eyes are on Randall.
So you got Frank.
Guess that's better It open.
Kevin knocks over here in his mane.
Got his back to him, looking at Randall.
Of course, these guys gotta relocate, right? We talked about that before They got every locate.
Let's get this stuff off the board.
Let's let it play.
Randall, you see Bay right about here? Okay, See there.
Waiting for him to put the ball on the floor and then a collapse.
So he's got to be able to see Can I get the ball out? Maybe he turns in post a little bit and kicks it back out.
Instead, he's going 100 miles an hour he's gonna spend back.
He's gonna go to the cup.
This means back gets it up. Now.
It wasn't awful, because when he spun back, and I'll rewind it when he spun back, You know, he did clear out spacing and, you know, you know, this guy, this this space here, You know, I'm saying so this guy's not really gonna block the shot.
And Randall has this here, you know, saying, but it's still crowded.
You gotta think about those guys there, you know? I'm saying, you know, So that's that's one part of his game that, you know Randall's gonna have toe.
He's gonna have to learn.
And I think he does, because we're gonna see on his possession heater.
Barrett is here.
You see, Randall was here.
No, He has a good clean line of sight to r. J. Berry.
Okay, I got buried there.
I see his man sagging way off.
This is Arjun Barry's man.
Right here, Sagon.
Way off my take a dribble.
It just comes with learning.
It just comes with learning, right.
Let's take a look and see what he does.
Guys, the ball kicks it, bang all J. Barrett knocks it down.
I'm saying he's gonna learn how to do these things.
You know? He's gonna learn how to do these things.
Now that's Julius Randle running point forward and then, you know, playing out of the post.
Listen, I didn't show him scoring in the post because you know that he could score in the post.
We've seen it already.
We did a breakdown of it, you know.
But now we're really getting into the nitty gritty of what things and how things look on the team.
Another thing that I liked last night was the ball movement in man movement.
As I mentioned earlier, there was a lot more ball movement and man movement with this team.
A lot more structure.
Then you know who that really does benefit? Ladies and gentlemen, that benefits Frank Miller Kina.
It benefits, frankly, Latina.
When he you know, when the offense destruction, that's what he's used to doing.
Frank is good at setting up guys in the offensive, getting people to go where they want to go, where they need to go, and you're gonna see in this clip here.
I'm gonna be wind the clip just a little bit right now.
You see, Frank has the ball here.
Wayne, Ellen Sing is here, right on this side of the floor is So you got Kevin Knox, and then you have Mitchell Robinson.
I don't know if you can see.
Let me get my laser pointer up, Peter.
All right, so it's Frank Millikin here.
You got So you got knocks.
You got Mitchell Robinson a design play to get Wayne Ellington the ball off of a double screen.
You can see Wayne Ellington come around here.
Millikin is perfect guys up with this.
Especially now that his handles a little bit better, right? You know, he doesn't seem nervous handling the basketball or anything like that.
You know, when he's protecting the basketball well, and you're gonna see Wayne Ellington come off these two screens, get it to the cup and school.
All right, you see here, come off the screens, get it to the cup.
And there he is.
All right, Now you're gonna see again.
You see Frank Miller Kane here.
Got the got the ball here.
You see Kevin Knots. on the move.
Right? And you're seeing Wayne Ellington over here in the corner.
These air set plays, ladies and gentlemen, set plays, set actions.
We missed this all last season.
It is such a pleasure to see it now because the more they do these things, the better and better and better they're gonna get throughout the season.
Let's take a look and see what happens.
And just one second we're gonna take a look and see what what happens.
Bone is he knocks, Come down, trail comes up.
Now you're going to see Wayne Ellington all the way from across the floor.
I'll let you know what happens on that shot in a second, cause we're gonna rewind it and really take a look at that place.
All right, let's bring it back, and I'm gonna make this go slow.
All right? Clearly, this is a design play.
Now, let's take a look.
You see, Kevin Knox is coming down to the box at the same time, so it's coming up setting a screen for Frank.
You know, he kind of slips to screen a little bit.
You know, slipping that screen allows him to be freed up over here while Frank has the ball here.
Just in case this guy made Come.
What? Frank Zo might be free over here.
It pops out to the three point area at the same time.
Kevin Knox is setting a screen for Wayne Ellington.
This is really who they're looking for.
But you got other options, right? And now, as it goes, you'll see Wayne Ellenson coming off the screen.
Times give since in the second screen.
And Frank looking for way, he catches the ball in position, ready to shoot feet, ready to go.
And what happens he misses.
I'm all right with that miss.
He misses, but we see in good accident.
You gotta open shot.
You know, I'm saying we see really good accident for that.
I like that accident was man movement and ball movement and off the ball movement.
Let's keep it going.
We're gonna see here again a nice another nice little play to get Wayne Ellington free.
I really do like the way that Fizdale is using Wayne Ellen things so far.
You say he's doing some things, obviously.
You know, he watched Detroit maybe watched Miami And the way that other teams have used Wayne Ellington.
So he's doing some things so that, you know, he can put Wayne Ellington in the best position possible.
You should pay attention.
I'm pretty sure he is.
Because you will probably you be used in the same way.
All right, let's take a look at this play here.
I run it through there.
We'll take a look at it.
Ah, we'll run it through now.
Look at all the movement.
A lot of movement.
Let's bring it back.
I'm not gonna let you know if he had that shot or not.
We're gonna bring it back because I want you to see this ball movement and man. Move me.
You see, frankly, Lucchino has the ball at the top of the key.
And you see, I believe that R.
J. Barrett set the screen for tides.
Gibson, Frank Nail Akina passes the ball to Taj Gibson.
Maybe he could have set the screen for R.
J. Barrett, but he didn't.
You know, he kind of goes to the short corner now at the same time that these guys are moving in position Over here.
You see, Kevin knocks coming down.
You see Wayne Ellington setting the screen for Kevin knocks? Maybe you get a back door, look to the, you know, to the basket.
He's good at running this here, right? He's done it with the Chicago Bulls.
He used to do it in the triangle with Chicago Bulls.
So he knows what he's doing from this spot to see where guys might come free.
All right? As we keep it going forward, you see, Number 42.
Who's that? Burt Times.
Whoever it is, he covers Kevin Knox here.
Quickly as this guy goes to help on Kevin knocks, Wayne Ellington is coming to get the handoff from Taj Gibson.
It's the handle from ties Gibson.
And then he lets it go.
No problem with that at all.
Ladies and gentlemen, I have no problems with a missing shot.
You're saying The fact is that we got into the set now? This is the last one.
Now, that's not the last one of them here.
You're gonna see this right here.
I don't think this was scripted.
This right here was a little bit more.
We just know how to move.
The basketball is a little bit sloppy, but they just know how to move the basketball again.
When you build the habits, it happens. Naturally.
You don't gotta have set plays and don't afford to happen.
You know when? When when you build good basketball habits.
So that's what we're just gonna let the play go.
Hey, you know, you just see right now you see the movement, Jere slips to screen a couple of dribbles, penetrates, kicks it out, Frank, Frank to Knox.
And, ah, you know, not to sit in that thing home.
You know, saying like we said, Kevin Knox wants to shoot 40% from the field.
He can do it with this team.
Ladies and gentlemen, you know what? He could do it with this team.
Is this gonna be a lot of open shots like that for Kevin Knocks? They see it one more time, man.
And like I said, it's a little bit sloppy, but that's okay.
You gotta expect it to be a little bit sloppy.
You know, you gotta expect that to be a little bit sloppy.
Let's we're gonna take it all the way back.
All right? Now, let's go.
I'm just gonna run it through so you can see Here we go.
Right with the cut.
And it does look like us, but I'll be a design play.
So maybe it is frank off the screen from Todd's.
I mean, Trail two knocks, knocks, jab, step, bang.
There it is, Ladies and gentlemen, that's good ball movement.
That's good man movement.
You know, those are the type of things that I love to see when it comes to basketball.
You want to see those things? That's good basketball right there.
You know, that's good basketball.
Was it perfect like that all night? No, it wasn't perfect like that all night and didn't have to be perfect like that all night.
You know, he didn't have to be perfect like that all night, but we did enough to see, you know, one of the things that I said is that I wanted to see I wanted to see basketball principles.
I wanted to see habits being formed.
That's what I saw last night.
I saw habits be informed the Knicks were forming habits, you know, mean table former habits.
Give me a call, Ladies and gentlemen.
516452246 I want to know what you thought about the game last night.
What you think about the videos that I just show soldier, You know, the brakes, the breakdowns.
You mean the necks of forming good basketball habits in? Ah, you know, that makes me excited, folks, because that means the next I'm gonna play some good basketball.
They should play some good basketball.
We should be able to enjoy them playing basketball.
That was one of the most frustrating things last year is that it wasn't always good basketball.
A lot of times, it was bad basketball, you know, saying bad basketball.
So what, Mark, I'm coming to you, Mark.
I want to know what you think, man.
Uh, you know, some of the sets that you've seen out there and let's stick to the topic, man, Don't go up on a tangent saying I know you go.
You know, I know you got a lot of things running running through your mind.
Um, but tell me, what did you think about someone? Assess that you've seen on the floor.
So I like that aspect of it.
Like the aspect off one player.
The thing is they gotta get Chris.
Tony picks a little bit more to create more space for the guys.
Well, the guys again, you see what he's trying to do with this team with the sets.
I kind of like Randall when his passing ability is great to me is when he's when he's when he's coming down with Mo Mentum.
Not in the poll.
I don't think paid enough in the Post Passage because he looks like when you get to the polls.
I think e when you want to be a playing, make it is when he's coming off, I'm gonna cool down.
I'm going down the court.
What pace coming down with he's good looks to score, most likely forced a lot of stuff, but the sense that he was running for guys I've been screened.
I think I already have guys, so I'm not surprised when he just got players that know how to play the game and that's that know how to play the game and know how to move, understand.
Winning big everything was about what is where you need to.
And I was surprised when Knox, because he did not force, got one shot.
If he didn't have it, I got rid of it.
He'd move from off his spot.
More flu sparked.
Allow another player the car.
It was great last night.
For me, it was great.
I was not surprised with anything but R J coming off screens when he couldn't make shots.
I just love R J when he's off the board when he's close to the basket, because all those points came in the pink.
But he's looking to score.
He's looking for a car that I like that about two ****les.
Don't shy from it.
That's another plus.
That's another plus.
But coming up, ah, consistent play.
You have to be able to get to the basket of the 6 to 8 times a game if you want to be that guy leave.
But I like when he has Randall coming off.
I'm on all screens.
Make a play because you want him to pressure the defense.
You don't want him to that up because he's gonna look to score and team's going to Dublin but from time to time he can make it out the post.
But you looks more toe the bruising.
He's opposing player.
Yeah, and you know it.
Yeah, I agree with you.
He's gotta learn.
He's gonna have to learn how to passed out of that post. That's gonna be something.
No, he's not. He's not.
I know about it.
But he goes ton because he looks to score first and I'm not matter.
Of course he strolling a lot of people.
Well, sometimes you gotta be smart enough to just give her the ball.
It might come back to you because he puts more pressure on the book when he's coming down here thinking we're R J a couple of plays, But I did not like the ball.
He's up time, get in as close to the bat it or let him come off strings at him running off cause he's great at slashing and putting pressure for him to pass.
Even I play where he paint that on the on the far right hand side.
When he came off, became off the baseline and he made that I left him past Ah, what's the L for pain? He made three.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, way is.
But that's what he makes those plays.
What? Well, he's coming off the picks because he's toast.
You don't have the dribble ability.
You don't have the quickness yet the role as stark as he wants to, that's just not We use that right now.
He's moving business.
Small toe have in the corners when he's making the threes.
But all the shots came from the corners.
So it was smart.
He put him in position.
He put every playing position last night.
He did a good job putting guys in position last night.
Man, we get the key and focus, I think Gamow, you know, he's He's on his way home to the subway or something like that.
I want to make sure, you know, you could get in real quick.
I ah, gmo First of all, man, let me say, you know, big Shout out to you, man.
Thank you for being at the open practice force the other day, man.
So big Shout out to that.
My pleasure man was fun.
So what did you think about the game last night Again? Your guys you get, You got, you got You got your glasses in the mirror.
Man said because I haven't, like, told like this.
Can you hear me like this? Yeah, we can hear you.
All right. Cool. Cool.
I was gonna say first and foremost perspective everybody.
So as not me being negative, you know, this is a pre season game.
Excited for basketball? No, but let's just let's just take this all in stride with good things that we saw.
Yes, for the negatives.
Every so, yes, but again, pretty season.
But these guys breathe the winds, and the losses don't mean nothing that points really don't mean nothing.
Um, but I did see so a lot a few things out.
Like I couldn't watch the second half that we work and had to go to target also this stuff.
But, you know, there was one played out.
I was like, I like I tip my cap to to physio.
It was either in the I want to see is in the first quarter.
I think this was like maybe the first shot Frank shot or made.
But if you go back right, I forgot who was handling the ball, But there's a play where there's a guy in the corner, there's which I want to say near the point guard or near It was near is near the top of the key.
And then Frank was in that area to write, and it looked like Mitch was going to set the take for the guy in the corner, right? And then Frank is kind of following, too.
And then he goes until like that everywhere the pick is and he pops out, catches a bullet.
I think he drives the dribble sort of foul line and shoes, and I was looking at that plane.
I'm like, That's a very that's a very well thought out.
Ah, oh, uh, well played because at any moment, look, if they played too hard of a Frank, you could pass it.
A guy was cutting on the baseline and if not obviously could reset.
But it was such a such a good play because it got guys in the other thing.
That visit was doing yesterday, what I realized that he likes to do.
He likes the have his ball players, and this is why he likes guys who could take their guys off the dribble.
He likes have ball plays who can attract attention to it and make that pass.
So you saw many times, especially when you are talking, since you're doing the ****ysis where, UM r j we get the shots from when he was in the corner, I think Taj got stuck and passed him in the corner.
But many of the shots that R J took or many shots that you know that will take him, take him on the perimeter by a bunch of guys were like It was like 23 passes, right? So obese a Rando would droop a little bit attractive.
Guy passed the one guy and it passed another guy, And then that guy was shoot the three right? And I think that what he likes to do and this is why Randall is so important If you watch her in the last year, the pelicans what he does allies that you congee or attack attention with his dribble, drive to the basket, drive from the wing, attract somebody and pass it all.
If you look at that one that plays a large U.
R J shot the three, even though it wasn't that he enjoyed the guy that much, But the guy was kind of slagging off of R. J.
There was a little bit and passed to R J quickly at the top of the key.
R J makes it three.
So a lot of things I saw you say, Look, I agreed to yesterday is a little bit too much ice, too at times.
Um, the Morris thing, he's doing that purpose, you know, rally guys A to give him a bully mentality, right? It's an Italian like you want the guys to go from No longer to be humble to. Now you're being the villain.
I think a lot of these guys were saying they need that.
They need to get that villain venom in them where it's like, you know, I'm gonna fight what I need to No, no, no.
You're gonna fight all the time.
This is how it has to be.
Like that time mentally, us against the wall.
So I like what I saw you say.
Look, I'm not gonna go too crazy.
It's the Wizards preseason.
A lot of good things.
Men are so in terms of play calling, Ah, some of the sets.
They're running, you know, maybe he hasn't open his bag of books, But one thing I know is that he likes to have guys attract attention and you pass it back out.
We pass it around to the open guy, and that's why shootings in the important right you mentioned Yes, they argue, has to make those shots.
Went two for six from three point line.
Um, but I like what I saw you more r J.
You know, when he drives to the basket, if you see him, watch his hands, didn't he knocks off people's hands, these drives to the basket.
He's tough missile, but I like what I saw.
A man by my go react.
But again, goodbye.
I like what fizzles doing.
If you could continue to do this, look, we have a bunch of games where no one should have over 25 points, but a three or four guys have over 15 points, right? A bunch of guys got rebounds.
A lot of hockey assists, a lot of great defense here and there.
That's a type of team you want.
You want a team where everyone's dangerous.
So I like what I said.
Oh, so you say from two. Yeah.
Get me I I love what I've seen from the team here today.
Um, and you know what you said about Randall being able to, you know, driving kick.
And I just did the film break down on it where, you know, there are times when he's gonna need thio Do it sooner.
Do it quicker, do it earlier, and he's gonna have to learn how to do that.
You know, I'm saying, big shot.
I want to give a big shout out to, uh, a Santos for the super chat.
Thank you for the super Chatman.
Now you say first and foremost shout out to the check.
What's your opinion on Bobby Portis coming in and helping us at a stretch 45 position? Who's just starting point guard at the beginning of the season? Well, you know, uh, first of all, you know what? Bobby Portis, um, I think he's gonna He's going to be great at that stretch for stretch five positions, you know? I mean, last night.
Ah, you know, we had Thio.
We use Taj Gibson at that spot, You know, because Bobby Portis was out.
So I'm anxious to see what it's gonna look like.
The body Bobby Portis in.
Ah, you're her GMO.
Just talk about spreading the floor from the three point shot.
Bobby Portis is really gonna help us spread the floor now.
Gibson shot it from 50% so you can't complain about that.
But it just adds another element to the team.
Another element, another weapon for Fizdale to use by reporters can also post.
Uh, you can hit the mid range.
We'll see what kind of we'll see if we'll see what kind of pastor he could be.
You know, you see in Taj Gibson played a lot of times.
You hand the ball off.
Oh, you handed ball upto Wayne Ellington.
He could set screams.
You know, we'll see if Bobby Portis complain that spot as well as we see in times Gibson playing that spot last night.
You know, I'm not saying that you can't just say we'll see.
You know, uh, I want to see where Bobby Portis brings it on the defensive side.
He's gotta match the intensity that we've seen last night match What we seen last night.
I'm not saying the defense was perfect last night, Obviously.
You know, there was a run in the second half, right? The next out of 15 innings had built an 18 point lead.
So there was definitely a run in the second half, you know? So you know, we'll see.
We'll see where Bobby Portis fit.
Saying, I'll tell you what, someone's gonna have to sit down.
I'm guessing is going to be touched, Gibson, where some of those minutes are taken away, right? I'm guessing it's gonna be tired, skips.
And someone's gonna have to take a seat when Bobby Portis gets back.
Yeah, a man you'll see literally 12 to 13 people deep, you know? Yeah.
I mean, this guy, you're gonna have your solid.
I think there's gonna be a solid 8 to 9 man rotation.
And in that tent player, maybe whoever fits with whoever Ah, depends on match ups.
You know that 10 person And it could be nine and 10.
Depends on the matchups. This on the floor.
But there's going to be eight guys that are regulars.
All those eight guys.
I guess we're gonna see.
Listen, we know it's gonna be Julius Randle.
We know it's gonna be R.
Barrett Mitchell Robinson, right? We know it's going to be.
I mean, maybe those three guys that you can definitely say we know it's going to be Then I think it's going.
I think Wayne Ellington is gonna be in that rotation.
You know, some people say I made, you know, you know, he's gonna be coming off the bench and getting 10 minutes a game. I doubt it.
You know he's getting 22 minutes a game.
It might be 22 minutes again.
I think Wayne balances in that rotation.
Um, Dennis Maher Jr is in that rotation.
I believe believe Bobby Portis is in that rotation.
Kevin Knox is in that rotation, and then you got L for painting and Frank Miller.
Aquino, you know you're looking at a nine man rotation L for painting.
And Frank Millikin is probably in that nine man rotation, frankly looking and plays the way he played last night.
That was just one game, just one game, just one game, right? And then you got a lot of trade.
You got Damian dots and I don't know, I probably missing people.
You know that eight through 10 or maybe nine and 10.
It's gonna be based on what's happening in that night.
That's what I believe.
What's happening that night, man? What's happening at night? Let me get to Ah, again, a Santos.
Thank you for the Super Chapman.
I appreciate you definitely appreciate your for the super check.

You know, saying we everybody you know, everybody wants to talk right now, because the next one I'm saying we want to talk 475 people in here.
Can I get 475 thumbs up? Hit me with those lights, man.
Smashed that like, but maybe with those likes, I want to talk to get back to the guys in the chat room and I got a phone call.
Let's get to the phone call.
Call Leon Lai without the blood.
Next was partner.
What's going on, then? Stayed a house.
But I'm chilling, man. How you feeling? Good, Good. Thanks.
Uh, so this one will get about the game.
Last night, to me, the one thing that really stood out to me was Helford paintings defense.
I knew he was a solid distended, but he was unbelievable on the last night, his pesky man especially.
And he was dealing with, like, it's Smith was really fast, and they did a good job.
That lightning quick.
Yeah, you know, he got in there a couple of times, but they did a pretty good job keeping it.
Yeah, he can't shoot.
So you gotta be.
You know, you gotta just keep him out of the paint, Smith, you know? Yeah, But if there was one thing that you didn't like, what would it be if you had to say one thing that I didn't like was you know, there were times when it did get into, especially in the first quarter.
Oh, Marcus Morris did some I Julius Randle, you know what I'm expecting.
He gets the ball in the post.
I'm expecting him to ice.
Or if they're not double and triple teaming him.
If he's getting double and triple teams, I want him to kick it out, you know, because he's just a bull down there.
Market smaller, still with some of his eye.
So out on the perimeter now he had 17.
Was he was hot, you're saying? But what I noticed with Nick's really pushed their lead up to double digits is when they went small.
That's what the next right played faster.
There was more ball movement in man movement, So yeah, still a man.
See that? Say, when Randall.
You know he's going to get double Delight in the polls.
So who'd you feel most comfortable within kicking it out to, you know, for three.
Probably Ellington having Knox.
You know Bobby Portis? 22 You know it is kicking it out to those guys.
You've got a chance.
You're gonna get down that I looked in here 40% from the field.
That's what he said.
I mean, 40% from three.
That's what he said he wants to shoot 40% in three.
What? What? Ah was not to last night. Think.
Five for 1100? Well, well, from three. Last night.
Let's see what he was from three.
Last night last night, Kevin.
It's worse to for six from three is 33%.
He was 5 to 12 you know, but I think that it's not bad, but he said he wants to shoot 40% from three to see if you can get it there.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I want to know what I was when you know, when you sold that clips of him on the humanity of Red****.
Obviously not good, but just the constant movement.
That's hard to guard.
Yeah, you know, he's just constantly, constantly running around.
That's, you know, teams that's really difficult to stop that.
Something that's moving that much, you know.
Now, one Jay Burgess in the chat.
You say them runs came when Frank was on the floor.
I thought you were saying the wizard's came the wizard's run cane. No.
Yes, you're right.
I don't know if it was just because Frank was on the floor or he was part of a lineup that fit well together.
And there were a little bit smaller and they're a little bit more pesky defensively, you know? Yeah.
Frank looked really good.
I know you shot went 3 to 10 but he looked He looked good to me.
I mean, I'm not just looking at that right now.
Is journalist handle it a lot better? He was not.
You just look more constant.
And his defense.
You know, I was there as usual.
You know, I'm not worried about that with him, but he looks good.
I like the way he looked last night. Yeah.
Yeah, we got that.
What? What point do you think is gonna what small on what big do you think I'm gonna move minutes? Because all of it that you know, really I, Satria and probably Gibson and I had a pick to I mean, right now, you know, I'm not even going to Sorry about that.
I'm not even going to say it's hard to say.
You know, we gotta look at the rest of preseason to see how things play out.
See what guys like the rest of pre season, you know, do you think with all the dent that we do have that like, it could, you know, hurt.
Like, you know, some guys, you know, they think they're good players and probably are someplace that won't get big minutes.
Do you think that, like, I don't know, maybe heard like team chemistry or anything like that? Is where you about that or No, I mean, I think about it.
I think about it a little bit.
Yeah, I'm saying we'll see how that goes, but I do think about it a little bit, you know? Yeah.
Hey, man, I appreciate the call, bro.
You definitely have a good one.
You killed my babies.
Ladies and gentlemen, give me a call.
516452 to 4 cents for six.
And we got a long time and became a fan in the building, Man.
French unicorn, obviously in French Unicorn in a minute, man.
When I get the front unicorn, see what's popping with this brother.
And let's get friends unicorn over here.
See what's popping with Frenchy Man, my friends.
I'm coming to you, man.
Coming to you, bro.
How you How you feeling, man? Right.
How you like the wind? Last night I was happy, even pre.
She's and I was happy.
Yeah, man, A lot of things that I was happy about.
Right, Right, Right. Barrett.
Uh, Orestes our deep end.
A lot of things I was happy about.
A lot of them. Yeah.
Now some of these calls were asking, you know, I mean, you know, we're just, you know, the rotation.
Last night, David Fizdale did a good job with the rotation.
There's still two guys that I haven't even touched the floor yet.
Didn't suit up Bobby Portis.
Dennis Smith, Jr.
I have to find a way that put them in.
How do we find a way to get those guys in there now? You know, I really like towel off.
The offense was run with Franken and Peyton.
I really, really liked the way they did it.
I'm trying to see Is Jake gonna fit in like a global? But you know, D s day as another dimension that frank and Elford paying don't add because of his ability.
Thio, you know, have a lightning type of play.
You know, I'm saying those guys don't have that, but he can.
You know, he brings that aggressiveness to the rim attacking the rim hard.
Ah, little bit more moxie.
You know, I'm saying and you know, is striking a little bit more fear in the opposing players to, you know, from that position.
So he didn't really bring.
So they're saying his shock came around to, like, has been saying that he's been hitting the shot in practice.
So if that happens, I mean, I'm kind of I'm kind of in love with our squad, man.
I think that we're at least two deep everywhere.
Three deep at the point guard, three deep at the shooting are? Yep.
I'm Ah, I'm excited.
And the funny thing is, sim, I was in d c all weekend long, and I got tickets.
My brother got tickets to go to the game Monday, and I just couldn't close up shopping and go.
They always a man.
And I'm the biggest knick fan out of all of them, and I couldn't get a drink.
Well, hopefully you can get up to the next one, man.
I think the next time being there, I'm going to be there for the for the rial game in the city.
I think that's December the 28th I believe.
Yeah, I think that's to write the first ones in December.
And then I think there's another one.
Then there's another one yet.
I'll be out. Both go. Okay.
All right. Yeah.
Hoping we link up this time.
So in a box, let me know, and I'll get you a ticket into my box. All right.
We'll talk about work on a man. Definitely that good summer.
Had a great summer, man.
Had a great someone.
Had a great summer.
I I watched all your content.
I don't want you to think I don't get on that watch.
I know you're busy, man.
You got, you know, got a business to run, man.
I know what works running.
I'm opening up a second business here soon.
Opening negotiations now.
Congrats. Congrats on that, man.
That expresses definitely grass on there.
I'm an open inside off.
You know how they have the bodegas.
I'm no be like the chicken, man.
I'm gonna rent a little spot off for them to start cooking.
Okay? All right.
That's what's up. Yeah.
But I appreciate you shout out to Madi Nick's.
Mighty Nixon the building.
Had I been a Minuteman, that's all you got? I said, I watch your show.
I don't want to get it, man.
You know? No worries, man.
I get it, I get it.
But, uh basically, ladies and gentlemen, those of the themes coming out of last night's win over the Washington Wizards, I'm saying those the teams coming out of last night already, some things that we've got to take into the season.
We talked about a little bit about Marcus Morris.
You know, if you didn't get to see the game, you know, maybe this is your only chance to get to see Highlight or something like that.
I do want to show what Marcus Morris did some ice.
Oh, but I also want to show why I was surprised that Marcus Morris had a CZ much game off the dribble.
Honestly, I didn't know Marcus Morris had this much game off the dribble, unpleasantly surprised, but also a little bit worried.
You know what I'm saying? That he's going to sometimes get into a I so mold, you know? I mean, if he's going to get into a eyesore mold, I want him to do it down in a post where he's a dog down.
And you're gonna see what I'm talking about in this clip coming up, you know, saying because in the postman Ah, I mean, he just throws his body in the people.
You know, I'm saying he just throws his bike, so let's go back to chalk talk for one hot second, all right? And we're gonna talk about Marcus Morris just a little bit, all right? Just a little bit.
We're gonna talk about Marcus Morrison.
His ability to go off the dribble.
I mean, I know we could do it in the post, but I didn't know he did it as much on the perimeter as you're going to see. And he did it.
He did it last night, you know, saying so. Let's take a look.
We're gonna take a look at markets Morris right here.
And obviously you see Marcus Morris right here getting the ball in the post and Julius Randle once again being the facilitator, getting that ball down to Marcus Morris in the post.
And, um, you know this Take a you know, let's take a look at this bully game.
This is bully game right here, folks.
You see him? Boom, bully, bully.
Just those body.
Now, let me give it up to rule your heart tomorrow because he knew he'd be played tough.
I like Rui Hotch tomorrow.
Well, that's not really hot tomorrow.
I thought that was really hard to market gardening.
That was Anderson, I guess.
Him and Anderson, We're getting on each other's nerves.
But once the game, man, you see him Just bullets way into the cup.
You know, as big stuff, like date.
You got to see here.
This is where Yeah, I get it. He scored.
No, but sometimes it was a little bit too much dribble.
You know, this right here is gonna be a nice It's a nice fade away shot in the corner, right? You know, not the best of shots, but Okay, now here, you're gonna see, you know, Joe Bill, Double dribble, get a shot of you.
And maybe this was designed.
You see, everybody spread out on the perimeter.
Maybe it was designed this way.
I don't know, but, hey, he knocks it down and it's surprising to me See, a bone, bone, bone, nice wriggle.
And then he pulls it, knocks it down.
Everybody on the perimeter.
You know, I'll be watching to see if this is something that happens continuously.
You know what Marcus Morris gets caught with the ball in his hands on the perimeter, Going dribble, dribble, dribble.
Or if it's, you know, something that they designed.
But, hey, he had 17 points.
50% from the field.
Can't argue too much.
Two months when we get to a phone call, call your live with nothing but Nets was popping.
Oh, it was going on.
How you feeling So, bro moans about Katie K.
D you keep this one quick man is I don't really have too much to say about coming to ramble, so keep it quick.
Now, what the hell does that do? Trashing the next like Come on, Conor's not cool.
This food that spent 31st birthday playing basketball leaving busters.
I don't want to hear.
No, I don't I don't know.
I don't know why? I don't know.
You know, saying, you know, he was on hot 97.
I guess they ask him a question.
He answered it, You know? You know me.
But, you know, we got some form when we we got something for you.
We got some for when we play.
We gonna be all right.
Why? I mean, that way this year, anyway.
But maybe I will be.
I will bring that over.
What does a more better watch himself? You know already, Bear come Duncan on his ass.
Well, you know, it won't be this year because Kevin Durant's not gonna be playing, you know? I'm saying, but yeah, yeah, I feel you on that, man.
I appreciate the call, bro.
All right, well, please, Kevin, the rain, You know you're over.
Kevin Durant said you know, the Knicks not cool.
We don't find out.
I'm saying, you know, he's acting like Brooklyn.
Did something already booked.
I didn't do anything yet.
Saying Brooklyn into anything.
Anyway, ladies and gentleman, man, I appreciate you guys were jumping on me today.
Ah, I am going to be on tomorrow.
I was going to do a ah preview of tomorrow's game.
I was gonna do it right after this, but I decided to just do it tomorrow.
So I'm gonna jump on tomorrow during the day and do a preview.
You say anything? Thursday, We'll you know, we'll take a little bit of a break in.
And Friday we'll be back on.
All right, let me get to a phone call.
Call your lob another. But Nick's was popping.
What was going on, man? How you feeling? Good girl.
How you? How you feeling about last night? You got something? You got something on your mind from last night? Oh, yeah.
So first I want to see that.
I think the veterans man, I think we got it.
You got to give that when? But them this for the simple fact that we got the right group of veterans around.
This was last year's team.
When Washington made that run on the comeback, we probably would have killed over.
And you know what I mean? Lost that game? Yeah.
You know, I agree with you there.
You might be right, man.
He you know, like I think I have one of those right group of guys with that tough gain us a little bit extra.
So, you know, a little bit of extra motivation for the guys that played more defense of last year's veteran.
That wouldn't have happened, would it? It would have ran us out.
They would have came back and land us out the gym.
And we would have lost that game by, like, you know, like we did all year.
But I like less than 10 points.
Let me ask you this.
How did you feel about Morris hitting a guy in the head with the ball? Ah, you know, I think, uh, you know, he I think he made a bonehead choice, but I ended it.
If you're gonna do something like that, it wouldn't be guarding wearing.
We really gonna appreciate it.
Don't do it on the road, like you know anything.
Okay? What? I think garden where everybody stand up.
See you on for like, you know, although it was a bonehead like, you know, you can't go out like that.
So all that hope there.
Now I feel you, man.
I feel you man. So city.
Let me ask you, What are you looking for for next game I am going to do? I am going to do a ah, pregame tomorrow.
Our preview tomorrow of the Knicks Wizards on Friday.
That way it can rock.
You know that That video can write for a couple of days, you know, saying, but what are you looking forward to see next preseason game? Next preseason game.
Looking to see us Heighten it up more on defense.
Um, looking the sea looking.
See Ellen still come off some more curls screens, and I'm looking to see uh I see ah Portis is playing.
I want to see I want to see him in some picking Rose coming off since noon because, you know, you get free and stuff like that.
So I'm looking to see us tighten things up a little bit.
Okay, If we get out to a lead that that's cr were often ain't gonna be okay.
All right? And look, I'm gonna tell you what.
What? The wizards are going to be coming to play, You know, I'm saying that it's a Kal El.
They're gonna want to get a win.
I don't care even though it's preseason, they're playing the same scene back to back.
They want to come to get a win.
You know me so well.
We'll see how the next respond, Because they may come out with a little bit more intensity.
Ah, we'll see how the Knicks respond to that.
Yeah, man, I think they definitely gonna come out of that.
We're gonna be our you know, And I can say all those pretty, Uh um, Creasy That means a lot.
Leave it or not.
And it does where you start to build your character.
Like, you know, you just go jump off into the first game of dry.
Okay, so you're not gonna be not a start our identically right now.
I reveal you feeling you started wearing that? Yeah.
We start building an identity right now without a doubt A city man, we'll let you rot the next time that I'm gonna be on in the evening time.
Because now that we're playing basketball games, you know I'll be on when the basketball games wrong.
So tomorrow I'll be on during the day as I do a preview, and then Thursday I won't be on and then, but that you probably might get a video or 20 you might get a video throws.
But then Friday, I'll be on an active game.
All right, so Right.
Yeah. Yeah, brother.
You know me so well. A city.
I appreciate you, my friend, and, uh, I talk to you later, man.
I am. And I'm at peace.
Yes, Ladies. The general.
Okay, check. I'm coming to you and real quick.
This is all I want from you.
Real quick is to tell me what you want to see in the next preseason game.
The next game was the Wizards.
Tell me what you want to see.
What? Let me get one more phone call, and then I'll get to you. Check.
Carly, you're allowing other.
But Nick's was partners.
Hey, man, how's it going? I just you know, I'm a little concerned.
Um I mean, I'm really concerned because, you know, r j still young and everything, but I mean, what do you think about his jump shot? Do you think that could be improved? I also see that he struggled from the free throw line as well.
Also, you think that fits.
They'll throne too much at him.
Maybe she'd be coming off the bench.
Uh, you know, maybe Frank could start.
Or maybe, uh, career could start.
What do you think? I don't think so.
I mean, he had 17 points last night, right? You know, last night he had r j.
Bear had 17 points.
He shot 46% from the field, 33% from three.
Now, he shot 46% from the field.
Obviously, he made some layups.
You know, his shot isn't broken.
So I do think that he'll will it be this season.
I don't know what with the right work, and I believe he has work ethic.
You know, he'll start knocking down some of those mid range shots and things like that.
Um, but I can't, you know, see here and say, Ah, he should come off the bench because he had 17 points and he shot a 46% from the field.
You know, now I am concerned about that starting lineups ability to spread the floor.
All right, guys, you know, they do have some ability to spread the floor.
Um, but I believe they I don't know if the jump shot is gonna come around this season.
It's gonna be something he's gonna have to work on.
May not come around this season.
There'll be some games, ways hitting it.
There'll be some games where he's not hitting it, and I don't think it's gonna be anything that's consistent this season, you know? But I'm not worried about him.
I think he's smart, but he's crafting.
Has a good basketball like you.
Yeah, he definitely does.
Because I saw that he adjusted in the third quarter, started driving it in and dishing stuff like that.
But that first half maybe could be nerves, but, you know, he was settling a lot, you know? I mean, I think he I think his 1st 3 or four times were from from outside the arc.
So I mean, when your jump shot is not that strong, you know, you have to start kind of either looking to dish or looking toe, you know, uh, get to the basket.
So I mean, obviously, like I said, he's 19.
I think we got the feel of the draft.
Um, you know, I just don't want to throw too much at him. Yeah.
I feel, you know, I will say some of those shots in the first half.
Well, because he was, like, the ball swung or they skip the tomb or whatever it was, they drove in cape.
He had no choice.
But the pool, those cause he was wide open.
And, you know he's going to be.
Why open from three a lot.
Him and Kevin Knox.
You hit it, though.
Yeah, that's gonna hit it.
I'm hoping he's gonna shoot 40% this year.
Man, I'm hoping that I'm saying because I appreciate the court, No doubt.
Have a golden face.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, when we get to the video chat, I'm about to close up shop for the day.
I just want to get you guys real quick.
Ah, as your last words to tell me what you want to see in the next preseason game.
So, Mark, I'm comedy, Actually, yeah.
Mark, I'm coming to you.
I tell me, Mark, what do you want to see in his last preseason game, man? Well, the next preseason game I'm sorry.
What do you want to see the next preseason? game.
I want to see if you play.
I don't want to play r J 39 minutes.
Even though I didn't realize you play their business last night.
I just want to see Gigi in the system.
How he would hire you.
Affair, how you affair, How How are you could use You could use a skill set.
I want to see him play more And I just want to see consistent defensive rotations Like us floor last night You got it.
Smith Onley crap.
Yeah, they did a good job.
They didn't really kept it off the paint.
Honestly, last night.
I did not think while you complain, a cat dumps ****ers out of the pink.
Yeah, they didn't.
They did a really good job keeping about the painting.
It's Smith is hard to keep out the paint.
Listen, you know what I like? I didn't like when it was over the pickle issue.
I didn't like that Anything.
They need to be a little small when it comes on the point guard.
So they go against them.
Who to go over the pick on Wouldn't go under the pig you don't go over our ba*****t, but I agree with you.
But other than that, just give me the defense of consistent rotation.
The offense is gonna come because you've seen a lot of the place that he was running, got open shots.
Guys was taking the shots over than I'm baking in triple you.
When you get the ball, just launch just launching.
I'm fine with it, but just give me the consistency to the defensive rotation.
Where to be and listen.
I love when the defense is creating the offense.
I said the fact we got so many guys break points broad I ever seen from the next next team in the last few years.
So keep that up.
This keep got up.
Street got up, and I just want Frank to just keep launching those shots.
Keep no doubt, and I like what he's doing when he's coming up picking the role.
He's taken that mid range shot unique of affect that he needed before because he could get you get to the spot, get to a spot where he got that, mix up his gang very well and keep defense honest when it comes to Yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
Um, so last night was a good night.
Keep them suckers out the paint and Mark will be happy camper on.
We want Mark to be abacan because for you guys who had new you better subscribe to the channel because you don't wanna miss Mark when he's not a happy camper.
Subscribe to that channel right now because my Mark Abby who, you know, saying you just never know French man.
Tell me, what do you want to see the next piece? Uh, get the next preseason game I'd like to see right.
That's what playing Washington again and the same guy gone, I'd like to see.
I'd like to see Frank start.
Do you think he's gonna do you think there's gonna be a lineup change? Not because anyone did anything wrong, but just because I want to see some people that he's gonna look.
I mean, Frank was the best plus minus on the team, so I wouldn't I don't think that anybody would criticise fidelity move and again, My logic is we're playing the same exact team.
Let's see what a different point guard would look like now.
Obviously, Frank doesn't start off.
Well, you could always bring him in.
And if G s J is healthy, we're gonna obviously minutes for him to.
But I'd like to see Frank start.
I like what Frank did.
Even though he wasn't the shooting percentage.
He needs to be better.
It needs to be more efficient than no doubt, but he's letting it go.
The offense is playing great.
D is orchestrating the offense.
Do you see how he pushes players to their spawning? I mean, for somebody 21 years old, that's very impressive.
You have to have a very high I Q tip not only know where you're supposed to be, but pushed the other guy to his body.
Hey. Hey. This is where you belong.
All right, all right, all right.
Ah! Oh, my fault. Friends.
My fault. Friends. Cut your rise.
Um, what do you want to see in the next preseason game, man? I just want to peek a bank For what French said.
Um, we're faced with the same team, so I want what could have been.
You know, I don't I know that once Morris got ejected last last game.
We got lost in control.
We looked, we got lost.
Who's putting What? So I just want them to beat the crap out of the Wizards.
Wizards are like up your team.
This is a team that we should be winning by more than 30 points.
I also want to see Iggy and I want to see Tree here Maur into the game.
Um, like the league right now.
They're upset that we got Morris.
I feel that we got to get ready for the first game that we're facing the Spurs.
I want to push the dispersed in the face.
So is just working on more defense, making sure that and whose balls? I don't want to see a loose ball more more than three seconds, and nobody knows when to get it.
You know, uh, Frank is doing the little things.
Like making other players who were good.
You know, sometimes we don't look at his offense too much, but he's making sure that if you miss a shot and then he goes on the other side, he blocked somebody.
Now get your boat.
So a lot of people don't realize that he's he's good function as a guard was the big production.
Yeah, I'm right, all right.
Yeah, you're right. French Taj Gibson.
He's Ah, he's, ah, homegrown talent.
So him, given the I think he was doing the call me sign.
That was a lot of swagger.
He showed a lot of swagger playing for the New York Knicks.
Um, Marches said that Katie lives in my hand.
So let's prove those Brooklyn guys that we are the New York scene.
That's a new turn.
Seems like this car that's a New Jersey team. That's okay.
Petrification New York.
That's not the real New York, so let them try to throw it.
So it's done gender talk about the Knicks.
And by the way, there's 500 people want watching.
We need more likes when you who wants you like 250 likes when he half of the people that are looking in Washington from the shot Make sure you give that light, but for nothing but next Swag appreciates you, bro.
And, uh, Andy, I'm coming to you, man.
Andy, Um what do you want to see in this next game? Yes, I'm Ah, What team wise? I want to keep up the good defense and rebounding because they were rebounding the ball really good.
And the force half in the second half, You know, I could pass it that also, but that that was one of the keys for for the game.
For me, what I would fix is they gotta be more stable with the lead.
Because we have, like, twice over temperate and 14 even 18 points lead, and we lost it.
All right, We gotta do a little bit better job of that on the personal, you know, personally with players.
I agree off on Frank with Morgan with French unicorn.
They nailed it on the head.
I'm not gonna even know.
Add one word there.
Ah, with Randall.
I didn't hear you mention it, but there were two place that he just let the guys walk in the pain where he could just cut a guy.
And Morris, I think Morris had a word with him in the in the locker room about that because they were talking about, you know, thinking about the nineties mentality and stuff like that.
And Randall like there was two times a situation that he just let the guy passed through him because he didn't want to take the power and stuff like that.
So I think that's gotta be face and on the difference.
You know, personal things.
I think that that is gonna play.
Since it's the same team, we're playing Washington with it.
I think he's gonna let Gigi and probably Trio play a little bit more.
And I'm gonna be happy with that unless he's gonna go with five guys that didn't get burn even in the first game.
I want to see, you know, like the pool No.
Five and stuff like that.
I understand he can tweet their lineups and, you know, play a couple of guys here, couple of guys there.
But you don't do like the five guys who didn't play in the first game.
You just for a minute.
Second game, that's a bad thing.
And on the hot topic, shout out to the guys that did the, uh, you know, the cash in the chapter eight of your good guy? Yeah.
Yeah, definitely. It's Antle.
Appreciate you, man.
Uh, what do you attribute to the Knicks? giving up those leads.
No wonder it was tricky because I was I was thinking about it before we got those even decrees that the game was looking.
Maybe I was excited because of the testing for the next game.
After that, some like some time.
But I was looking at the game and no, when you're looking at the game and you, like, forget about the score, uh, from the progress of the game, you would think that we had a 20 over 20 point mate.
We were looking waver than the Withers.
But, you know, then you look at the scoreboard.
It's like, Okay, it's eight.
But, you know, it should be like over 20 cause we were looking at much better than them.
So, you know, and also they lost a little bit component.
I know it's not only about Morris, you guys, you know, group in you talk about it, you know? You know, asado and stuff like that.
I was surprised.
You know, Chris didn't break the wrong because the run at the beginning of the torque or was it was really fast.
I get it That was 10 points I tend to do or something like that.
But you gotta break that pattern over if you're a coach.
And you know what? I wanted to see if it's due last night.
He had an opportunity to do. It's preseason.
I wanted to see him practice that challenge call? Yeah, I want to see a pregnancy as well.
Yeah, but you know what? I didn't see a situation that he could like.
Maybe they were like, two or three situation.
But it wasn't like, you know, again changing one.
Right? I think he just didn't use it because it doesn't go.
So like classes like the one that that that that Brooksley used because that he got out, he had a point on that R j dr.
And like, I like I think like that.
I don't know if you are.
You didn't listen because you're at the game like But while he waas with bringing, they were laughing That that would be LeBron.
They weren't overruled home, right? Exactly.
So Brooke was like, you know.
Okay, I got this one because I got in the rookie.
Well, Hey, man, I'm gonna be on tomorrow.
Uh, I'm not exactly sure what time I gotta figure out a consistent time that when I am on during the day I'm on at that time.
Obviously, I'm not on during the day, every day, but I'm doing these day things more often.
And so far the response has been pretty good.
I think people like, you know, being able to listen to while they're at work.
You get to listen to it, you know, during the only not five o'clock in the morning and stuff like that.
So, you know, it seems to work out pretty good, you know? But I'll be joining tomorrow.
Well, yeah, yeah, I'll be on small man to do Ah, preview, preview the game.
So I appreciate what I have you on.
Remember? We gotta do those frantically, man.
Yes, Yes, you're right. You're right.
Now, I will make sure that I had those ready Friday.
I'll make sure I haven't ready Friday so we could get him out.
Yeah, And I'm only talking about that because last time there wasn't a place for me, So I'm gonna be Oh, okay.
All right, I 80.
I talk to you later, man.
See you tomorrow.
And ladies and gentlemen, Yes, we will have some fantasy leagues, Man.
Last year we had about four fantasy leagues.
You know, we did the draft online.
It was a good time.
So we'll do it again.
Right? Ladies and gentlemen, man, no, You know, down to the end of the show.
Thank you, guys, for joining me.
But before I go, I do want to say what I want to see Foam the game on Friday.
Now, obviously, I'm going to have a preview tomorrow.

I do want to see so play because I want to see it.
So can do some of the things ISO is not Ellington.
But if he can add some of those aspects is to his game is gonna help.
All right, so I want to see Zo Plate.
I want to see Gigi play.
I want to see Julius Randle be a little bit more patient.

I want to see you got two days of practice.
I want to see them, um, get the cuts a little bit sharper.

Obviously, those things aren't going to be as, um, tight is the first preseason game.
