the New England Patriots are returning home after a successful business trip to Washington, where they dismantled the Redskins in their own building, surrounded by Patriots fans.
Now on a quick turnaround, Tom Brady and Bill ballot jacket to do what they do best.
And that's teach a young rookie quarterback what it's like.
The play against the New England Patriots Bilbo checks defense have made rookies miserable for years, and unfortunately for Daniel Jones, he gets to face the best defense in the NFL.
And even though Golden Tate says they're not worried about the Patriots pad agree, and they don't have fan boys in the locker room.
I'm sure that Kyle Van Noy will want to make a fan out of Tate.
Rob Gronkowski is returning the football, but not in the way that Patriot fans were hoping The Kansas City Chiefs have a reason to be worried.
The New York Jets Sam Darnold has been cleared to play on Sunday, and Baker Mayfield is back in the headlines after an embarrassing Monday night loss.
All that and Maura here on D p N Dear Pats Nation was going on and your boy Ray and welcome to my little show here on DP and ladies of German of Fascination.

Underscore Ray again.
That's at DP An underscore Ray tonight's lineup.
I'm gonna do a first early preview of the Patriots versus the Giants and why the Giants don't stand a chance and our New England Patriots are going to improve the six.
No, I'm gonna talk about our man Richard Sherman over in San Francisco calling out a Mr Baker.
Mayfield the Jets Sand Arnold is returning this Sunday too little, too late for the New York Jets and that Kansas City Chiefs awful defense should have the Kansas City Chiefs fans awfully worried before I get started.
You know, it's been everybody's dream that we get to see Rob Gronkowski help those New England Patriots to get in their seventh ring.
Gronk is returning to football, but it's not as a player.
He is joining the Fox crew as an analyst.
Now, this move doesn't rule Gronk out from returning to football.
He could pull a Jason Witten, but I believe that this move definitely rules him out for 2019.
So anybody that thought that he was coming back to help Tom Brady, we need to get that thought out of our head.
I do not believe with this new job that Gronkowski is coming back this season, which leaves a little bit of disappointment.
But knowing that the Patriots are still five, you know, without drunk food or set, as we know left the Redskin game left of Washington Redskins game early, and it was said this week that it's not a serious injury, but he was gonna be week to week.
Some reports are saying that he probably will not be available for the game on Thursday, but he was present and participating in walk throughs today, which tells me that there is a possibility that he will be available for the Giants game on the quick turnaround I don't see why the Patriots would want to risk filth or set even further, but it is what it is.
And lastly, before I really get into my show tonight, I want to talk a little bit about people making way too big a deal out of the Patriots schedule, huh? You know, I hear you, Nick writes, talking about how Oh, yeah, the Patriots defense is legit.
But look how weak their team has been.
Everybody's saying that the Patriots are only five and old because of their week's schedule.
Blah, blah, blah, blah.
I don't know how many times I have to explain this.
I wish that all these haters would just come here and listen to me, talk for five minutes and understand, with a little bit of logic, why the Patriots schedule isn't that big of a deal.
It isn't reflective of by the painters of 50 I get that.
The teams that are under 500 the Patriots have blown out.
When I got the only game that they struggled with this season was against the Buffalo Bills were foreign one.
They struggled against Latinos for in one that has probably the second best defense in the NFL, a game where our defense let up 10 points.
And yet the Patriots are just, you know, they're just gaining an advantage because their schedule number one and I don't know how people don't understand this.
It's not like Bill Belichick sits down at the beginning of every year and says, Okay, this is who we're gonna play this season.
The NFL makes the rotation.
It makes the schedule.
Secondly, if the Patriots were going into Miami playing the Jets without Sam Darnold, if they were, you know, going into Washington and barely winning games, then yeah, I would have an issue with the Patriots being five, you know.
The fact of the matter is, the pages are five, you know, and four of those five teams the Patriots have blown out and the team that is four and one that the Patriots struggled with the defense out of 10 points.
So I don't understand how this schedule is reflective of the Patriots.
I don't think the Steelers were that bad of a team.
I mean, the record really isn't vindictive of where they are.
They could have beat the Ravens, who was everybody's sweetheart after week, too.
I'm calling you out, Nick, right? You were all on the Ravens bandwagon.
Everybody was on the Raven bandwagon over.
Mark Jackson's the greatest quarterback in the history of He's the next Patrick Mahomes.
The Patriots schedule has nothing to do with the Patriot being five unknown because they're blowing the teams out that they're supposed to blow out.
They blew out the Steelers, They blew out the Dolphins, They blew out the Jets and they blew out the Redskins.
If they were barely winning those games, I would have.
I'd be worried, but they're not.
The defense has smothered them the same way they smothered Buffalo, who's four and one.
But I'm sure that you'll find a way to discredit Buffalo because you used a close game against Buffalo as the way to prove that the schedules helping the Patriots.
But you'll discredit them when I say while the Patriots stifled under 10 points, here's the fact of the matter.
The Patriots went for No in September.
The Patriots play their worst football in September.
The Patriots play their best football in November, when their schedule gets a little bit tougher I saw the Max Kellerman to the world's all over the Daniel Jones and the Giants and how good this team could be.
Well, when the patrons blow them out, let's let's see how nice they are to the Patriots.
With that being said, everybody, I'd like to start talking about our New England Patriots because here a dp n.
We like football.
We like football season and everything that goes with it.
So like Paul Schwartz, the New York Post yesterday he wrote the following about the New York Giants.
He wrote Quote a two and three.
The two game winning streak is a thing of the past for the Giants, and add is a place where losing streaks are born and cultivated.
After Thursday night's meeting with the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, there's a strong likelihood that the Giants will be two and four, considering the Patriots are undefeated in a muscular 17 point favorite in this game End quote.
Now I tend to agree with Mr Schwartz, and to be honest, I don't see any scenario that a rookie quarterback comes into New England and defeats Bill Belichick and the Patriots, now the New York Giants have been a thorn in the Patriots side for years, and, frankly, there are two Super Bowl games in particular.
I just choose not to remember now.
In the past, it was Eli Manning that the Patriots had to worry about, but he's now the backup to Daniel Jones and Daniel Jones, obviously the Giants rookie and this their future.
And he has the task now going up in playing against the best defense in the NFL.
And what are the odds that Daniel Jones can upset the Patriots the same way that Eli did in the answer? That question is very simple.
Bill Belichick has some ridiculous record.
I think it's like 15 and five against rookie quarterbacks, and I believe that he's undefeated at Gillette Stadium against a rookie quarterback.
And he did that with sometimes.
And I hate to say it.
Now Daniel Jones has to come in and line up against the best defense in the NFL, and he thinks that he's gonna have success.
Well, I don't even know if David Jones thinks he's gonna have success.
I mean, there's people that are positive in New York that think they could come and pull off the upset and do something special? I don't think they can, but there's no way in hell the Daniel Jones gonna walk in New England and get a win over the Patriots.
I'm sorry, Giants fans.
I think you'd have a better chance of bringing in Eli Manning and getting something done.
I mean, he wouldn't win in either, but you'd have a better chance of getting something done.
That's just the reality that we live in right now.
If you've watched, his defense is here, they do so many creative things.
But the best thing I love about the defense is how they disguise their defense.
And I talked about yesterday reminds me that mid to thousands of Baltimore team, but have nine guys lining up at the line.
They won't show their coverage until the ball snapped.
Daniel Jones doesn't have the pad.
Agree to go out there and change calls and read defense's.
We all remember what Patrick Mahomes look like in the A F C championship game last year and Jared Goff, two guys that couldn't, you know, make the calls and Bilbao checks, exposes the inexperience he exposed.
Their Gadhafi exposed Patrick Mahomes, especially in that first half of the championship game, where the chief scored zero points.
So I ask you, How is Daniel Jones gonna read a defense that doesn't show anything? This defense veteran quarterback would have a tough time.
Tom Brady himself and Peyton Manning, two guys who probably read a defense better than any other quarterbacks to ever play the game, would have a hell of a time reading this Patriots defense just because of all the things that they can do.
All the different formations that taken do linebackers lined up like linemen, lineman lined up like linebackers.
You don't know if it's a blitz.
You don't know if it's three.
You don't know if they're going to zone.
The only predictable thing, and that Patriots defense is that stuff on Gilmore is gonna be in man coverage.
There's no way that Daniel Jones gonna walk in a Gillette Stadium on a short week and upset the New England Patriots.
Now the Giants coach Pat Shurmur, a Schumer Sorry, Sherman is trying to keep his boys motivated and said that anybody who's getting discouraged can get out of his locker room, and he's made it clear that he's not gonna lose sleep over playing against a great defense now.
That wasn't a direct shot at the Patriots.
He was more referring to the Giants 28 to 10 loss to the Vikings.
But I have to wonder if he'll lose sleep over facing the best defense in the NFL.
I mean, he's coming in.
I mean, the chances with the full team, the page it was still gonna be a 78 or nine point favorite.
A Patriots legend.
Ah, Patriots alum Super Bowl champion Nate Solder.
I had an awful year, and I expect the same thing that happened.
How is he gonna contain this pass rush? Now you got a game? Where suppose Sequim Barkley is injured.
He's more than likely not gonna play.
Even if he does, there's no way he's 100%.
The guy's spraying.
This is high ankle spring 16 days ago, rushing him in against New England would be absolutely ridiculous.
Right now, I don't know what he thinks he's going to do against his defense, not 100%.
Why risk him? Just wait until next week, you can bounce back from two and four.
What you don't want to do is leave New England two and four and you don't have Barkley when Galman is out there.
Other running back.
Sterling Shepard, great wide receiver, is out with another concussion.
You know, rumor has it that ever Evan Ingram, they're tight and he's banged up.
He's got a spring m c l.
I doubt he's gonna play against the Patriots.
So maybe you're not gonna lose sleep because you've already conceded the loss.
I don't know, like I don't know how you're looking at that, but I don't think that you're gonna walk into New England and just have this sort of cake over walk and think It's just gonna be a grand old time, because that's just not the case whatsoever.
Now, look, I'll admit the Giants defense is a little better than the Washington Redskins, but really not by much.
And I believe that the Patriots can take the exact same approach they took in the second half against the Redskins to beat the Giants this week.
I hope, especially on a short week, especially with maybe the possibility of Philip Door set not playing this week, that Josh McDaniels sticks with run game.
I hope that he runs a balanced offense and keep Sony Michelle engaged in the passing game.
Get James White and Rex Burkhead involved in the run game and sparingly used Brandon Bolden the way you've been using it.
And this Patriots offense will become dominant against every single team that they play the 1st 4 weeks of the season.
At least in my opinion, the Patriots offense and I talked about it on the show after every single win.
If I had a complaint about the offense, it's the play.
Calling is too predictable.
It's too vanilla.
And even in blowout games, I think it could have been more.
But Tom Brady throwing the ball 75 times doesn't work anymore.
You have to stick with the run game, even if it's not working at first.
Look, it wasn't really working in the first half against Washington, and it blew up in the second half.
Kudos to the offense, and kudos to Ryan is Oh and Matt Lacoste.
I re watched the game and I read an article about this.
Now if I read the article, I watched it, Boy, did they come in and block well against Washington, and I want them to do the exact same thing going in this season and really opening up those holes, helping out this offensive line that's been having a problem.
Communicating, getting bull rushed at times, start opening up some holes and not having Sony Michele met by five defenders on the line of scrimmage.
Now Golden Tate of the New York Giants.
He had the opportunity to be a New England patriot, but he made it clear to the world that he wanted to play for a contender.
So he chose to go and play for the two and three New York Giants.
You got suspended, and now he gets to play the Patriots Agile et Stadium in prime time.
And then he says this quote.
I don't think we have a locker room full of fanboys, Tate said.
Fall in Monday's practice.
We know they're going to come well prepared.
Their defense is one of the greats in the National Football League.
We're gonna have to play good, solid, fundamental football.
We need to be efficient on third down, efficient in the red zone and we need to come away with seven points.
When we're down there, we have to control the clock the best we can and keep Brady and company off the field.
If we do our job, the best we can execute the best we can and really study up on the New England Patriots.
I think we have a chance to go out and do something special.
Well, that's a very cute thought, Mr Tate.
You think that four days of study time is enough study time to beat the Patriots? You better be taking caffeine pills and staying up 24 7 hour, 24 hours a day, Right up until Thursday, watching films defense is going to do, you're going to control the clock with no running game.
What you think without Sterling Shepherd and you being really one of the only receivers control the ball to that has some pedigree to him.
The Daniel Jones is gonna lead this offense on these nice, long drives.
You're gonna get in the red zone and score teams don't get in the red zone against the Patriots.
So where do you get off thinking you're gonna do something special? Because everything you talked about is everything that the Patriots defense has intellect, and that includes against Buffalo team that has running backs and has a quarterback.
So how do you think that Daniel Jones on awful offensive line and run when I get you Want some confidence? You had the chance to play for a contender.
You chose the money.
And now you got to make your bed.
You gotta make your bed and you got to sleep in it.
And you've got to realize that you made the wrong decision and you can try toe.
Will this Giants team to victory all you want? It's not gonna happen.
This Giants team, at least for the 2019 season, is not a contender Now.
I'm not gonna talk bad about them going forward.
I like Daniel Jones.
I don't think he get rid of some dead weight like Golden Tate.
And I think when they get rid of guys like you, they'll become a competitive team.
Look, maybe you've been the problem, Tate.
Lots of wide receivers and you really aren't you see, let's just move on.
Richard Sherman thing that started last night and continued until today, and it's really been a weird story you know, Richard Sherman comes out and he didn't want to shake hands on the coin toss, and then I think it was Jake Trotter who tweeted it.
