What's going on, guys, Anything here again? Hope you guys were having a great Tuesday.
Just here for another life stream to talk on a few matters. Heroes.
October is obviously the busiest sports month of the calendar year.
So today we're gonna talk a little bit about the Monday night football game that went on yesterday, my Yankees of their clenching a spot to the LCS with ease.
I think they did the best job that anybody in the division Series obviously so far, and they're the only ones who have clinched and cap it off with a little bit of NBA preseason.
But first, let's start off with the 40 Niners and brown A little disclaimer beforehand.
I apologize for the light, Uh, from the sun coming through on the blinds.
I tried to limit that as best as possible.
Hopefully, as the sun goes down, that will improve.
And two, if you hear any screaming kids also apologize for that.
I live in an apartment on the poolside, and they decided that they need to be as loud as possible so you can be screaming kids.
Don't worry, they're okay.
They're just having a lot of fun in full.
So let's get started with last night's games.
40 Niners and the Browns.
San Francisco took care of business at home on Monday Night Football, 31 23 and just made a mockery of the Browns.
They have had a tremendous up and down season.
Obviously, Baker Mayfield was probably the biggest story, whether it was the snub handshake with Richard Sherman, I didn't really seem obviously like it was a case, but we weren't there.
We don't know what was said or, you know, maybe the look on his face.
Maybe look on chairman space.
We don't know about that.
But the more important thing is that he went eight for 22 only 100 yards in a pick Odell Beckham through for 1/5 of his yard on night, and he seems to be calm, cool and collective.
He seems to think that everything is all right, but man Brown fans, If there are any proud Sainty note, they are in deep despair and make sure you give them a hug today, a little pat on the back because it they can't seem to figure this one out.
It seems like they are at one point like in preseason, they're the best team in the league.
You know, there have all this hype around, kind of like the Eagles did back in a few years ago when they signed all those free agents and got all these.
These rookie free agent, That's I think that's your that awesome law.
It was a huge bus, but anyways, at all that hype around them, they come out terrible against the Titans, you know, uh, have a couple of another terrible game and bounce back for a couple a couple games and, you know, lastly, look pretty good against the division rival Ravens, 45 to 20.
And, you know, they wanted that talk themselves up, began like, you know they're common were coming and just get blamed by the 40 Niners.
I I don't know about Baker Mayfield.
Times of weapons.
I know the offensive. One is a struggle.
Defense looks like it's pretty good.
They've been out without their top two corners.
But man Baker Mayfield, the number one overall pick, feels like he was really good.
But he has really strong this stuff, really.
I don't know, like the NFL is trying to make him like its poster boy or whatever it is.
But he seems to be everywhere and certain.
He's certainly been a disappointment.
I don't know about everybody else, but to me.
I remember one overall pick really hasn't amounted to much a lot of turnovers, Not not someone I've been very excited about so far early on in his career.
Maybe I'll have a chance to turn it around.
They are two and three.
They are playing in a F C North Division.
That seems like it's up for grabs.
So definitely disappointed.
I won't say that.
He is gonna be bad.
I think he's gonna be a pretty good, serviceable quarterback.
Was he worth a number one pick? I don't I don't know.
Yeah, it doesn't seem. I get one.
So is, is he a little overrated? Um, you know, I felt the jury's still out in my in my case, I know it might be a little too early to say, but in my case, I feel like he's a little liberated at this point.
You know, maybe you left time to change my mind, other people's minds, but he seems a little bit of a rated.
I know there's a Browns fan, maybe a couple Brown fan in there unwrapped sports network who has come out and said that they think that Baker Maybe it's not the age and I can see why.
I mean, obviously you probably pays attention the more Cleveland fan or Cleveland Browns games and I d'oh.
But I mean, you know, so far that statement that looking like it's just completely out there.
I mean, it's looking like it's on the right trail, So kudos to him.
By the way, if you haven't checked out anybody, any of our other unwrap sports network members, they have great content around our sty.
Even here on sportscaster, it's just things like forward slash under wraps for theft or sportscaster dot com.
So make sure you definitely check out their content.
Definitely, some good stuff involving the football season is well on the flip side of that.
Like I feel like it has more to say about the 40 Niners.
You know, they're one of the two teams left that are undefeated by the size of Patriots.
Kyle Shanahan seems like he's really taking control of this team.
Looks like he hasn't heading in the right direction, kind of back on that path or their perennial playoff team every year and making a run at the Super Bowl defense looks amazing.
The head multiple top three picks that pick up guys like Aaron Armstead, the fourth Buckner Joey are not Charlie boats, and Nick bows his brother.
And you know Solomon Thomas.
I mean, he's a former what Number two, number three pick and he's one of their backup lineman right now.
You know that Sign Kwon Alexander over the offseason, so that defense is and even this good, like really good.
I I think it had more to say about the 40 Niners defense that it did about the Browns offense because they looked like every every game they play.
So far, they've looked magnificent.
I think it was two weeks ago when I point the series today, the Byerly on Week four.
So two weeks ago.
I know it's just Mason Rudolph, but they had five turnovers on offense and they still came away with a 24 21.
I think that that's a lot of credit.
The defense, they've really done a good job of constructing this thing and understanding that Yes, offense will win your games, but defense wins championships.
And I think caution Han has taken care of the offense about John Lynch is a former safety hall of fame safety has made sure that his defense is gonna be ready to go and just a lot of picks a day.
You know, a lot of draft capital they put into this defense, and it's really showing.
Now, Offensively, you know, they don't have any number one, like maybe not a number one receiver.
Not maybe not a number one running back, but they have a lot of first utility.
A lot of weapons.
I mean, just in the backfield alone.
But this is, you know, after they signed Derek McKinnon, who they thought was gonna be a big part of the offense.
Obviously, it's unfortunate that he suffered a bunch of injuries, but, you know, they got mad burrito, who's who looks great.
Last night, a couple of touchdowns, 83 yard touchdown run last week or last night looked really good.
And then Tevin Coleman, who I don't even know if he finished with 100 yards.
I know he had 97.
I know he's on the bird.
I think they started putting most ardent very end, but he's been really good.
I mean, that 12 punch might be one of the better ones.
And in the NFL, in terms of just talent and production life and then on the outside are on the outside.
You receivers, you know, you don't really have a number one seed, but you have a lot of guys.
You're hoping back, you know, be on this offense for a long time, and they've looked pretty good.
I mean, deep estamos looked pretty good.
You know, they have Dante Parrish doesn't look as good as I had hoped for, but I think they're still working with them, making sure he could be be something.
Obviously, you're pretty much your number one receiver is George Kittle, who's a great pickup? It seems like Iowa knows what they're doing with the tight ends.
Clearly, with two first round tight end's going this year and and this 40 niner team is good, you know, it's gonna be interesting to see how they fare against teams in their own division because that NFC West seems to be as dominant as ever made.
Even better than the years that Seattle was going to the Super Bowl in the playoffs every single year.
Early on in, Russell listens career.
I know that he fell into the playoffs, but when they're making those Super Bowl runs, don stop.
This division might be even better.
I mean, back then, I felt it was just mostly just the Seahawks and the 40 Niners.
And now it seems like it's really the Seahawks.
40 Niners and the Rams, obviously the rampant with agency champs last year and then Cardinals.
I know they're still young, and they have a rookie quarterback, Skyler Murray.
But it'll be fun to see how that division shapes up over the future because they have a ton of good teams and Tom talent and those the division games.
We're going to be interesting to say the least of the 40 Niners will have a lot on their plate.
They're not gonna have one of the easier division divisional scheduled.
Unlike you know, that maybe the NFC East, or maybe even may have seen North, so definitely interested in that last night's game had a lot more to do with how good the 40 Niners are.
I want it bad, But you know how I don't know how to put it.
I mean, I you know, I don't want to see the Browns are bad.
They haven't looked good.
There's been a couple games where they looked okay and look pretty good, but, um, I think had more to say about the 40 Niners.
Just as a whole team that did about the up and down brown season trying to follow that where it's gonna go.
Man, it's crazy that o b j for the past two weeks.
Who? Anyone who drafted in fantasy? Um, I feel like most people probably missed the day he was with Eli Manning at this point because it has been a rough slave, Rhoda.
They're trying to get him involved, if you like in the past, like him literally in the passing game.
I just like he's a playmaker of him And Landry.
Just get the ball in their hands somehow and and go with it. Let them make the place.
You know, obviously we've seen how well Nick Chubb chub is as their second round pick after, you know, the same year they picked Baker, so they're relying heavy on that run game.
But, ma'am, you still have some left in Calloway that I think the biggest turnaround biggest pivot in that game last night was when the Browns were driving down 14 to 3 or maybe 14.
Nothing cowardly dropped that ball going into the engine.
I know you've been suspended for four games and you haven't been playing.
But, man, that's it.
That's the easy touchdown for you.
And even worse, he popped it up.
The words picked off and ran the other way.
So tough night for the Browns will see how they move on, you know, obviously, they they Ravens might be the hardest team in that division right now, with Pittsburgh having being down to their third string quarterback as a Jets fan and knows how does that feel? And then, obviously, the Bangles, Beano and five have really struggled.
It looks like there are moments of being into a rebuild.
Let's move on to the Yankees, who are moving on to the LCS.
They are the first team out of the out of the division series.
They swept Twins, the team that led the league in home runs.
The pitching staff completely stifled them.
They only scored what, one for three.
So maybe, like they scored less than 10 runs the whole series.
The Yankees did a good job, obviously, not only on the offensive end, where they're known for, but for a pitching standpoint, look really good.
Tanaka was really good.
Uh, and several, You know, last night I was trying to pitch like Severina was really good last night.
Four innings on Lee Foreheads get our only four heads to walks and struck out 4 83 pitches, a little high for for ratings, but again, returning from the injury only had three starts prior to the postseason.
And really, it's all about just getting into that fifth inning for the Yankees.
They have a ton of bullpen depth.
I haven't been overly impressed with, uh, Ottavio so far, You know, I feel like it's got the pitch that much, but both times he's come in and situations he's given up some walks, so I think they have you recorded that yet.
But I think it'll be okay moving forward, you know, obviously, Chad Grain has looked pretty good.
That whole Siri's Britain Chapman, and we just have a lot.
We just have a lot of outs work with.
So it's all about, you know, not going the distance necessarily.
But getting enough to record a win and leave it on that offense in the bullpen, Um, and man, the Yankees, I don't know the status about their health.
Another see, See, that's the bath is trying to return for that L. C. S.
I don't know who I mean.
Obviously, I don't think I want to play the Astros on were more, but I don't know.
So I don't really want to play the Astros, and I know we're pretty familiar with them in terms of not only the regular season but the past.
You post seasons.
However, that being said, we're incredibly familiar with our division rivals.
The Tampa Bay Rays.
They look pretty good.
Last night, they completely poured it all out on SAT cranky.
Last time, he was a big position for Houston.
You know, I think it be tough to face somebody regardless of what the race having their town.
They've shown that it doesn't really matter about the prominent names that matters about what they could do on the field.
I have a good pitching staff over there.
They have some pretty good players.
There are a lot of guys off it.
I think 20 plus home runs or something, that team so they can be a dangerous team.
We'll see if they can make a run.
They play tonight.
But I just think plan somebody to yourself.
Familiar with congee.
Very good for you were very bad for you.
So we'll just see how the how that game fares on how that serious fret fares out.
More importantly, about, uh, just excited, the Yankees are moving on to the LCS.
I've been a Yankees fan sense pretty much.
My dad spent a huge Yankees fans, and he always talks about, you know, the years of the 19 nineties and winning all the world siris I just missed out on.
I've seen 11 in my entire lifetime that I can remember.
I'm not counting the early days, and that was in 2009 against the Phillies.
I saw the time when our postseason streak came to an end.
There's been a rough time being a Yankees fan as a millennial I'm ship decided that we even over the past years, it's been a little tough.
But finally it looks like our team looks like it's ready to go.
It looks like we have the right roster, at least offensively, for sure to make a run for it.
We're really don't lean on the offense and Bolton, like I said, it's really gonna be up to starting pitching Paxton to knock a, uh, Jay happen if you get the chance to pitch Sabathia.
If he if he's added to the roster on the LCS, which I hope he is, just for nostalgic sakes and lift him, you know his last season and then set me.
Obviously he's had a little bit of postseason experience, but hopefully last night was a little bit of a confidence booster pitching well, just got to get the pitch, count down a little bit and be a little bit more accurate.
But that'll calm, you know, if you just touch more and just looking forward to it, I think it's cool to I mean poor twins.
I always have the playoffs and I always there always struggling against us.
I don't think they've won the last 13 games against us in the postseason and just a tough season for them against us, you know, all year long, a lot of tight games throughout the regular season.
So I got a twin shame.
I think there was.
There's a lot of young guys, a lot them did not experience, you know, A lot of their pictures didn't have a lot of experience.
So, you know, I think there will be a dangerous team as, ah in their future.
But, you know, they had the face of tough Yankees came in with a lot of It's a strong offense and, you know, when their pitching staff is probably around the same a little bit less mediocre than ours.
You know, it's gonna be tough to pigeons are guys.
And so, yeah, uh, you know, we still have the Dodgers and Nationals plan.
They're tied at two in two, and then the Braves and Cardinals also tied it to into, so we were able to really close it out and get some rest and prepare.
Hopefully, hopefully, the raise at least minutes a night, and they have to stretch it to one more game and just give us a little bit more time to recuperate, get our get their arms rested well, and get some guys healthy who have been fighting back from injury and trying to get back in here.
Um, we're going to see a little bit more from Stan.
You know, obviously I know he's coming back from injury and you know, a little bit more from Gary Sanchez.
But, man, uh, you know, the biggest guy I've kept an eye on all year long? Maybe since even last year.
It's been Glaber Torres.
I gotta call me ablaze.
Glaber Toys, Jersey At some point, that man's gonna be maybe one of the future stars that MLB look really good throughout the season.
As look even better in this postseason.
I'm looking forward to what he can bring on the rest of his career, moving on to our final topic of this live stream.
And I just want to talk briefly about the NBA preseason, mostly because I'm super excited to watch some basketball super excited for the season with it being so open, no clear cut front runner, a lot of guys doubling up with some other superstars and then just a lot of fun young teams to watch.
We obviously saw two of them last night.
Or maybe some people did with the Atlanta Hawks and the New Orleans Pelicans.
I should've went saw that game being so close.
But nonetheless, I hope the pelicans return.
I'm gonna have a time chances to go see the Atlanta Hawks this year and they're gonna be super fun to watch all year.
But just excitement all around.
Mark out folds for the magic who I'm actually going to get to see.
Hopefully he stays healthy in the early stages of November.
He looked really good last night.
Looks like he's back and ready.
Um, the biggest thing.
Obviously being a big Three podcast pelicans are gonna be a great defensive team.
I you know, I wouldn't doubt that.
There they are long they are.
I have a lot of length of that team.
You know, a lot of guys you can really cover the perimeter, but also over the inside, we'll see how the pelicans do.
They are still a very young team, but they do have a lot of veteran leadership on on their team.
And I think that will work in their favor will definitely see.
Pelicans are going to be fun to watch.
A lot of people think they could be, maybe sneak into that playoff, that seven or eight seats.
So definitely excited to see how the pelicans fair, but just a lot of a lot of young thing.
I know we're seeing a lot of teams play some teams internationally.
I know we're gonna get to see R.
J. Hampton play their plan.
Oh, I don't know who their plan, but his team is playing somebody, and that should be fine.
A washing how he could be a talent.
So just the preseason have been really fun.
More fun than I thought, But they would be the shirt.
How far do I think the hostile dough I live in Atlanta? I'm being optimistic.
I think they're ceiling is at least the eighth seed in the playoffs.
If they will actually hit that, I don't know.
But I'm being optimistic, and I'm saying, early on, maybe wait your way that I think they're gonna be an eight seed.
Uh, I know I might be reaching a little bit, but I feel like the deepest roster in the N B. A is a Laker.
Yeah. I mean, they have definitely.
They have definitely stacked up their team.
And, you know, they're looking to make a run.
I'm a big time James Harden fan.
I have a lot of belief and Harden and Westbrook doing their thing.
Westbrook, What do people still say? A shot is broken, but he's coming back.
You know, he didn't play in the 1st 2 preseason games.
Last time was his first action in familiar with the rest of his team.
So, you know, big things to come for the Rockets.
I think they I think they really stacked their roster.
Well, if everybody pay and I mean, on paper, I feel like the rockets look really good.
Uh, you know, weather and I have one place of their potential Will.
See, I think the Rockets could beat the Clippers. Your thoughts.
I mean, I think they're gonna win it all.
So yeah, I think they're gonna beat the clippers.
Uh, I mean, the Clippers will be good, but yeah, I think they're gonna miss Paul George a lot.
But regular season really doesn't matter.
It's really where you're matched up in the playoffs, and I think that's gonna be vitally important.
I think the Rockets were one of the better team last year, but we always have to run into, you know, the Warriors when they have Katie and step, so we shall see.
The biggest thing I think last night took away, which I know this is a very small detail and most people's thoughts when they're watching the preseason.
But being that I, uh, Ron podcast that covers the Big Three, I'm obviously have my eyes on Joe Johnson a lot.
Making his distance debut last night.
Eight minutes, only a couple of rebounds and assists.
But really, you know, we know what Joe Johnson doing this leak.
It's all about how what he does and this limited time throughout the season and just super excited. He does.
How much? He's, uh, you know, put into this summer and really didn't take a break.
And now he's got himself back in the N b.
A on a contract, and I think it says a lot not only about the Big Three, but also about Joe Johnson and also about other guys who want their chance to maybe make a run back at the N B A.
That the big three of the platform that can potentially provide that that way back into the MBA.
So that was big the piston been.
Look that great, obviously.
But I just find that kind of lots of pistons magic and see how they do.
The piston's gonna have a good bench, will see.
You know, everything.
You have to think everything with a grain of salt right now because of this preseason, but super looking forward to the N B A season.
And although the West will be very competitive, I think the East is gonna be a lot more competitive than people think.
I know they might have, like two or three teams that might be a little bit worse and challenging for that one spot in the lottery, But it's gonna be a lot of fun.
I'm very much looking forward to the NBA season.
Yeah, I think the face is gonna be really good.
Um, you know, especially when l a Depot gets back.
But I think I think they're gonna look really good.
I don't know how their first round pick lips, I don't know if we've seen go, go play, but just with everybody they have.
And I think broad and I'm a huge fan of Brockton and has moved to Indiana.
And so I'm gonna try to check in on a couple pastries games this year and see how they dio.
Hopefully Aiken catch more, more basketball games and I can baseball games.
But, uh, anyways, office can be Boston Can Columns wait.
Collins will own. Can't.
Yeah, I like John Collins a lot.
I think you haven't tried.
Younger are the stars of Atlanta coming coming through? You know, I know they have a lot of young guys, but I think Colin to Trey on.
We're really cementing their names.
It's Elena favorite and, yeah, you know, cancer.
You know, he's not really that great of a different defensive player anyways.
You know, I don't know having cancer for Al Horford.
It just seems like it just seemed like it kind of is a big step down.
Do I think Trey Young is the next step? Curry? Maybe.
I mean, I feel like Trey Young as a a lot better vision, a lot better passing ability not to say that Steph Curry can't pass, but I feel like a young is a little bit more of, ah, past first guard.
He's looking to be more of a playmaker than he is necessarily a score while he is a a big time score can be for that team.
I think he's just trying to make place for that team and open up the offense and take what the defense gives them Where Steph, you know, they're gonna rely heavily on him to score a lot, especially with Clay be Now I know the angel.
Oh, kind of helps.
Ah, you know, burn the low just a little bit.
But, you know, I do think that Trey Young is is looking to facilitate more.
So I think they play a little bit different styles.
I think they're similar in some aspects, but I think in terms of what Trey Young will be in the ceiling, you know, I think he's gonna be tray on, but I don't necessarily want to compare him.
It's really hard to do, like for me.
I comparisons just because everybody I feel like it's their own person, their own player, and I think Trey Young will be tray on.
Maybe we talk about someone in the future who we say, Do we think he's gonna be the next trial? Young.
So appreciate all your questions.
Uh, this is my first lifetime when I'm really getting a lot of questions.
So I appreciate everyone who just tuned in and ask them questions.
I enjoyed this. A jam packed October.
Like I said, with all the different sports coming along, I think hockey is also coming along.
But I will just say upfront, not a huge hockey fan.
I lost the presidency, just being from the national area, growing up and going to some of those games.
You know, sites are fun every once in a while, but just not big in the hockey.
My focus will be on football the rest of the baseball playoffs in the NBA season.
I got you, Vince.
I will follow you for sure.
We do that right now for in this dream, appreciate everybody who tuned in.
Ah, new podcast for the fourth man will be dropping.
I believe I'll have it out by tomorrow morning, if not sometime tomorrow.
And it's just gonna be a little bit of a shorter one.
just gonna, uh a guy came on, just wanted we did a little bit of envy.
You talked a little bit about the big three and what's to come for them.
Remember the Big Three China? Tory's coming up in November so hopefully I can update you a little bit more on that, and we'll talk more about that on the podcast.
Not the not the one that I'm releasing tomorrow, but the one that will be released towards the end of October with my co host, who is from Victory News.
You can give me a follow on any mercy any of my social media, a underscore S i g i that Sigi.
And if you could also give the podcast a foe as well, it's at the fourth man, that fourth man, but not the fourth man.
But forthe man four th manpad appreciate any type of follow, hoping to help him up open to give back and hoping you have a lot Maur content coming your way.
You know, next summer, by the time Big Three season, four hits.
So just trying to prepare for that early on and I'm with him to do a couple more streams later this week to talk about all the madness that's going on.
October should be a fun month.
Thank you guys for two men and have a great night.
