Good morning Saints fans.
How are we doing to day? Coming off a huge victory at Homer's of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which puts us in sole possession of first place in the NFC South with a foreign one record? Teddy Bridgewater had a game.
Michael Thomas had a game.
Jared Cook was a breakout star.
Who else? I don't know to run it and we'll go over it first.
We're going to go over something.
Statistics? Yeah, I wrote it down on this piece of paper.
I just read off some stats for you guys.
Starting off with the score, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Buy a final score of 31 to 24.
Um, stats for you guys.
Jamis. Winston went 15.
Workers start off with Tampa Bay because, you know, said with you and he was, um, Jameis.
Winston went 15 of 27 204 yards, two touchdowns.
We sacked him six times and he fumbled once, Six times we sat James Winston.
Leading the backfield and rushing was Ronald Jones, with nine carries for 35 yards.
Pretend Bebe, marking the 27th consecutive game that the Saints had not allowed at 100 yard rusher, which is a current NFL record.
Um, Chris God won't hide himself a good game with seven catches for 125 yards to scores.
One came super late in the game and it pretty much didn't matter so still. Score.
Uh, Matt Gay went one for one on field goals and three for three on extra points for the bucket years.
We had six punts for 253 yards.
Two of them were inside.
The 20 and Kevin Minter lead their Devens with 10 tackles.
No for your New Orleans Saints.
Teddy Bridgewater, 26 34 314 yards, four touchdowns, one pick.
The Online did not give up a single sector in the game.
He very well could be a candidate for FedEx.
Air Player of the week.
Something like that.
Teddy Bridgewater played great.
We'll see how in Camara, 16 carries for 62 yards.
No touchdowns for him.
But he did throw a pass for like 17 yards to Josh Hill, so that was exciting.
Michael Thomas had 11 catches for 182 yards in two touchdowns um outstanding aim from empty, of course.
Well, what's one for one on fuel? Goes four for four on extra points.
Team Thomas Moore said at three punts, 113 yards in one punt inside the 20.
That's how good our offense was yesterday.
I only had 2.3 times.
DeMario Davis Let our defense with two tackles are sorry.
I was getting too carried away with the next step.
Mary Davis let our defense with seven tackles and Marcus Davenport let our defense with two sacks in one forced fumble.
Um, so you know, we just played well all the way through and through, You know, we did exactly what I said we had to do for keys to victory, which was not let James Winston get too much confidence.
He didn't get very much confidence at all because you continue to get hit and hit and hit and hit in the back field.
We have five different players.
Have a sack, which is crazy.
Um, Marshall Lattimore.
He was lined up with Mike Evans for 43 out of 53 total snaps.
Evans had zero catches on to targets when Lattimore was the nearest defender and coverage.
He had zero catches Theo entire game, which is locked up one of the NFL's best receivers.
And we made it look really easy.
So that's a big upside.
Um um Some top three.
My top three breakout players from the game versus the tent.
The Bay Buccaneers.
Obviously, Bridgewater had a breakout game, tossing 3 to 14 yards of four touchdowns.
Um, he lives to a big division when, so that's obviously really, really good.
Um, tight end Jared Cook had a huge game.
I really needed him to go out there and step up.
I think he had four catches for, like 37 yards and a touchdown or something.
It just seemed like he was always making plays when we needed him to make plays yesterday, and that's that was key for us getting that production from a tight end level again.
Ana Josh L also played really well, and then my third breakout star from the game is Marcus Davenport.
He had an interview during the week talking about how close he's been to getting sacks all season long.
He said he was tired of being close to getting sex.
He came out here even on there on the field.
Got to sags in a forced fumble.
Went out there 81 of defense.
Sheldon Rankins also got his first stack of this season.
Who? So you want to see that office? Um, next week, the New Orleans Saints play Jacksonville in Jacksonville at 1 p.m.
Um, in our current standings, we are on top four on one record.
Carolinas in second with three to record temp.
Bay is in third.
Billy to win three record in Atlanta isn't 1/4 What it wanted for record after be absolutely annihilated by the Houston Texans, like 52 to 28 or some something like that? Um, yeah.
I mean, I was just Teddy really made a big step yesterday.
I feel like, you know, he really proved that he's more of just a check down guy, you know, yet again.
And he was throwing the field down.
He was throwing the ball down the field the entire game yesterday.
I mean, yeah, he checked it down a couple of times, but he really showed that he's not Teddy check down anymore.
He's Teddy, the NFL quarterback, and I think he made great strides in proving that to the NFL yesterday.
So, um, he's really silencing the haters, which is obviously awesome if you love to see that from someone who's trying to step in and replace blueberries.
I mean, he just went out there and bought out. Just think.
Um, now it's kind of like talk about a rumor that has been surfacing over the past couple of days here.
One player you guys might have heard of down in Cincinnati.
Um, name's a degree.
You've heard of him.
Okay, Saints are amongst three teams interested in potentially trading for wide receiver A J.
Green from the Cincinnati of Angles.
And those reports have come out this rule teams have been willing to give up a first round pick for him.
Um, you know, I've had a lot of people.
D m e on instagram.
He'd be up on Twitter.
You're like Mike, What do you think of this man? What do you think about giving up a first round pick for a receiver who struggles to stay healthy in a J.
Green? Well, let me just go ahead and address it here on sportscaster dot com.
Um, I think it would be a great move.
It'll be blunt, honest, which you guys.
So I think it'll be a great move.
That one thing the Saints have really been lacking all season long is having that, like definite third receiver, you know, like right now we kind of have, like a rotating door of for that third receiver in its light unit.
One week is like Trick one.
When we gets Austin car one week is little George Humphrey.
You know we need a definite number three receiver.
You don't really see any other receiver besides my Thomas and Ted Ginn even really touching the ball in our offense anymore.
But we really need to get back to those ways if we want to be successful.
Um, so I think bringing in a guy like a J Green two pair alongside Mike Thomas and then have Ted Ginn be our slot receiver who goes deep down the field and then tack him up with a guy like trick.
Want Smith, Keith Kirkwood.
When he comes back, I think that's just gonna make our office elite, and it doesn't matter what quarterback we have.
If you're throwing a degree Mike Thomas and Ted Ginn and then all those other studs, we have his backups.
You're going to be successful.
You're gonna throw touchdowns.
We're gonna score a lot of poise.
It's that simple, I guess.
I know it stinks after you have a first round pick, especially in a draft like next year's draft.
But the good thing about a draft like this upcoming year's draft is that it's really deep.
It's not really deep draft.
There's a lot of great talent.
It's likely going to be coming out of the draft, Um, and you know, if there's a guy we really want, Shawn Paint's never hesitated to trade up to go get the guy he wants anyways.
So you know, the past few drafts have worked out very well for us at this point.
We want to give a first round pick for a guy like a J.
I'm more than willing to.
Obviously I wouldn't like that so much.
I'd rather give up like a second and third or something like that, you know, But it's just we need we need to utilize the trade block this year more so that we have in years past, because we need that.
We need that other really good receiver to go onto the field and tag team alongside my Thomas.
We just That's really the only thing we're really lacking, you know, is another receiver, maybe a good corner.
You know, the Broncos are gonna be shopping as well.
I think at this point it's pretty much likely the Saints are gonna be bringing in a big name receiver, whether it's Emmanuel Sanders, where there's a J.
Green, whether it's you know, somebody like that on one of these teams that are shopping their players, so you know we'll see.
Um, they've also been rumored to have interest in.
I forgot who it was.
The Broncos corner Look, I think Chris Harris, Chris Harris Jr.
So I think the sensor, darling, I'll be making a move of some sort It probably a big one.
Um, come trade deadline, which we gate.
Um, so I'm excited about that.
If you guys noticed any trade rumors, get me up on Twitter.
People on Instagram Ah ha plot Here.
I'll talk about what I think Um, yeah.
Just kind of what I mentioned yesterday.
I'll be hopping on daily for the most part, if I can.
You know, I have a busy work schedule, but I'm trying to work around that.
So, uh, trying to hop on every day if I can and go live for you guys talk about, You know, we're gonna be doing top tens, and we're gonna be talking about trade rumors.
We're gonna be talking about the draft a little bit, you know, talk about maybe a couple other teams.
Um, maybe the future of the same stuff like that, You know, we're gonna be hopping in, so you have states once a day.
So you have a little bit of saints inside one today.
It's not always gonna be 15 minutes, though, you know, But I can hop on every day for at least 5 10 minutes for you guys just to talk to you.
You know, I'm so grateful.
So blessed to have you guys.
Anyways, big dub for the Saints.
We gotta keep this train rolling against Jacksonville.
The Panthers just beat the JAG wires so hopefully weaken.
Go into Jacksonville, defeat them their defense just isn't the same as a as a has been and years passed.
But they do still have big name guys like Jalen Ramsey.
They do have Josh Alan on that defense of line.
They have some great talent out there.
Guys The Dove, Clay's Campbell.
And so you know, we're taught to eat.
I saw there is to it.
I think it would be a great game, just like every Saints game has been this year, for the most part.
And, you know, I think it's gonna be very exciting to watch.
And who knows? Maybe we'll have Drew Brees back.
You know he's been throwing a football.
He comes back, I think, is more realistic.
He comes back for the Chicago game the week after, but it's not impossible.
You know, he's been grind, and he's an absolute trooper, and, you know, you just never know.
With a guy like Drew Brees.
You never know what when he's capable of coming back.
We got to do it, man.
Get him back in healthy.
But Teddy Bridgewater definitely made great strides in front of the whole crowd yesterday.
Um, so I'm excited, very, very excited to see that, and I think it just proves the point of extending him long term with Drew Brees.
I think we need to just lock them both up.
You know, if we win this to promote this year, Drew likely retires.
But if we don't, you know Drew is obviously gonna want to come back.
He doesn't want to end the season with an injury.
Still might not, even if we let the Super Bowl.
But I think we if we sign Drew like another two year contract and then we signed Teddy to like a four year behind him.
You know, that way we have Teddy for a couple years after Drew's gone.
You know, I don't want to say it's time to just start moving on from Drew, but it's kind of time to start moving on from Drew.
He's an unbelievable quarterback, but we have other guys we have to pay as well.
We have to start paying out and tomorrow we got to start with Taysom Hill.
We got a bunch of guys we gotta pay and you know, Teddy showing that he could do it, man.
So it's just a matter of doing it.
That's all there is to it.
But, uh, thank you, guys.
So much for all your love and all your support.
So much for everything.
I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Most likely to talk about some states.
Top 10 quarterbacks, player, some sort of position of all time.
You guys have a great day. Go.
Saints keep going strong, baby.
