Thanks for tuning in today.
We're gonna be doing It's a nice a nice kind of a recap right now we're gonna I'm gonna kind of discuss last week's here this week's game kind of my thoughts And can I share what I think and how definitely we can improve in the future.
Hopefully and come, just hang out, um, Brie and talk about Gostkowski.
Kind of what's going on with him today.
We're gonna talk about kind of like the season moving forward and this beak, So yeah.
So the last game, I mean, it was pretty crazy.
Honestly, it was a lot closer than I expected.
Like, I did have some pretty good predictions because I said, like, I thought fashion was gonna throw a bunch of pigs, and he did, because he always just running backwards and throwing the balls up.
So definitely Collab that that kind of pulled through because that helped us a lot.
Honestly, I mean, if you didn't keep that, they don't throw those.
I think four interceptions to us, it would've been a completely different ballgame.
So it definitely helps that that kind of happened that our defense was top notch because if our defense didn't come through in that game like, we could have easily got beat up by the Patriots, because, honestly, our offense just cannot perform.
It's sad to say, I don't know Buffalo's defense is really good or we just had a bad play calling day.
I know like it gets allowed over in Buffalo.
I got the games and such, but it just seemed like our offense never got anything.
But your game was mostly a defensive game.
Honestly, like for both sides, I mean, Tom Brady had 150 yards.
I can't think of the last game where Brady kind of was just everything.
The last game where Brady kind of looked like that, where they just come out.
We're just He was just throwing in completions because the pressure Desai, he just It just seemed like he can never really find his groove and it's definitely kind of rare to see happen to us.
But I mean, at the end of the day, we definitely did.
I mean, like, we could be got the win, which is by light.
We gotta play a little better than that.
If you're moving forward cause I sell me 16 points and Phil teams touchdown, so it's not really like we did very well.
I mean both and have like that rushing touchdown, which is good.
It's good to see both and kind of get involved in their like That's always nice to kind of like seeing new Dude's new players get involved.
But those on those is only hand off of the day.
So there's other than, like our offense is just There's not really much more to be said about that game, just like Brady had pressure.
So I feel like he was forcing it out like two when didn't want you threw that interception and he just couldn't really hit the receivers like he has been kind of this season like you like.
One thing I noticed from watching the Bills games is that them really allowed those like deep passes were in like weeks Prior, like we've had Josh Gordon like open way downfield, which is which really helps, like, move the ball down and it seems like it seemed like Buffalo just really could we just never really have that opening or never really got like that opening to decide start driving and like getting downfield fast late are rushing game.
Michelle had 63 hours, which I guess isn't terrible compared to his last few games.
He averaged, like 3.
7 yards a carry.
He did have a few nice ones again, like a 15 yard, which is always good, honestly.
But I definitely think that's something that we still need to work on.
Is just establishing this run game and getting kind of Sony Michelle kind of fully back in the and I was reading some stuff on that and a lot of people like think and is that part of the like running problem problem with our team right now is just kind of a tight end.
Situation is we don't have like, we don't know a big guy like Gronk or like Bennett.
Our people we've had in the past are just really good tight ends who can go out there and like set of those key blocks.
They kick it outside and really seems like we don't know what I mean.
Like losing Gronk definitely is pretty rough, but you can kind of see that kind of impact, like on the run game because we don't like a massive ground creating these opportunities and holds.
So hopefully we get Watson bad and he's a veteran.
We've really seen too much of him, you know, like in and out of injuries.
And like I know he's old so hopefully we can kind of see him get more involved on the blocking aspect and then hopefully that opens up our run game.
And I mean, Burke had been employee and he was kind of I think he was like our best always this season in terms of like stats and like, kind of break out runs because that he's been doing pretty good.
So once we get him back in once you get like the kind of three running back look with Michelle White and um Roxburgh head, I think it's gonna really open up the offense and other things like James White running of the team in receiving yards, which is pretty crazy because usually receivers honestly, do not leave.
Um, the team I'm receiving you nerds, especially on the Patriots, when they we have so many like good dynamic receiver.
So it's pretty honestly pretty crazy that like we were able to kind of squeeze out the lead, and he was able to still remain the number one receiver.
I mean, he's really good for this kind of screen passes, you know, like nice, like 26 yard, um, kind of burning back wheel out to the side, which was just awesome.
So James White props to him.
I mean, he just had a kid, and he's out here.
He's always giving.
His effort is always like making little boys getting open.
Had 46 yards on only three catches.
I mean, that's not really that that we could, actually.
I mean, he liked that 31 yard catch, which was very nice, so that that's always It's always nice to kind of get those like long poison.
That was definitely like the longest of the day than Adam men.
I mean, Adam, it was just coming off an injury.
He put a lot of snaps, but I feel like we're kind of limiting him.
I mean, he had four were subject for 30 yards, which isn't that good.
His longest was only 10.
So once again, not like amazing and you used targeted seven times, which isn't very money like a lot of our receivers this game, we're not targeted.
Much like James ones.
Running back was started in the most, which is ton.
Then we had Josh Gordon, seven Adam and seven disperse sent in, and then Burke head on.
So and then it it didn't really seem like we're kind of giving.
Looks like we're giving accurate looks and kind of throwing out those those big passes.
So hopefully good moving forward.
Um, like watching these games, I feel like you are just run are running has just kind of been bad.
And, like, obviously, we can't only pass code red.
He's old, like we gotta give him in the receivers timeto kind of relax and stuff, but you gotta kind of get all sides of the ball.
Kind of like working very well if we want to, like, have a shot at taking down Kansas City and moving forward, we gotta get, like, all sides of the ball moving.
And we definitely had special teams in defense moving so special teams.
Um, once again, very good.
Um, Calvin oi has been lighting it up on defense.
Our whole defense of squad, there's not much to be said.
Besides good things honestly about the defense, we allowed 10 points, but, like honestly, that's really not that many in tow, only allow that, like one touched on this whole year.
So far, four games in is really good.
So you have been Oi had, UM, he had two sacks, which is amazing.
He had, like six solo tackles, which is pretty big, and I'm just reading now that he has been named like a sea defense to get a gun up way to be honored for, like his play and everything he deserved. A.
I feel like he's kind of been like a leader on defense this year and kind of just kind of like leading this defense to be very good.
Unlike past coverage once again, very, very good.
We had McCourty with another pick four games for Pace Majority.
He's just amazing.
This year he's used.
I'd like the deep ball completely covered like no one's getting down there on him, which is really good because it's always good to have like a road.
It's because of the look of really amazing safety.
It just makes those deep passes so much more risky because you just know, like that guy back there is just gonna be waiting and can pop out of nowhere and pick it up.
That's why I like when you look at a lot of defense is in history like the Eagles.
Like when the Steelers really like Dawkins and I come all the way, having that like really, just like Mike the linebacker.
We definitely have covered like very good linebackers.
But then, once you add by that safety and cornerbacks of what really come ties together like the entire defense and, like I'm really proud of the defense.
So yeah, he had another interception.
Chung almost had 12 We had Jamie Collins with another Jimmy Columns had a nice sack, too.
Um, he's getting a bunch of tackles. Two.
And once again he had another interception, which is just huge.
And then my boy J C.
Jackson, a steel undrafted Steel, has just been tearing it up just over and over again.
Got two interceptions, which is just amazing.
So, honestly, what's what's us having keep playing like like that? Because right, two picks in the game thrown guy like that.
That's good pass coverage and you can't deny that so I'm having him back there, especially since he's not like our number of one corner silly.
The Gilmore has been pretty locked down all season like there's no the teams have not exploited Gilmore yet on a depot, even like the short ones don't want to just been locked down.
So they're trying to, like, spread around to other players and other side of the field.
And then, like, we have players like J.
Jackson stepping on, making huge plays with yours.
Just great to kind of see our defense in this shape at this time of the year.
Our special teams was great.
I mean, kick returns.
It partner turned something really amazing.
But we did have ah blocked punt, which is always amazing.
I mean, and Bailey all right, like all this bonds.
I mean, he pointed nine times.
They're all pretty Ciao.
There's no like, terrible ones yet.
I got the 63 yarder, which was very nice, but yeah, special teams.
I've seen Slater scored that touchdown has made me so happy is not of this team for so long and like he's mostly just kind of the special teams guy and he never scored a touchdown, so it was like You can even see a lot of time.
Brady was so excited when he scored just cause.
I mean, I was like, because that's like is one of his good friends and he's just his first NFL touchdown.
So that's just the biggest accomplishment there.
And that's thanks to the blocked punt.
So specialty, like all sides of the balls, but the one side of the ball.
I mean, it's part of special teams that wasn't moving.
Like the offenses Gostkowski, Gostkowski has been missing a lot this year.
A lot of extra points, a lot of vehicles, and it's not really some of the acceptable to be missing, like extra points in the NFL.
I feeling nowadays, especially because I honestly, like all the good kickers, like, make it like it's a chip shot.
So what, you gotta throw that an especially close scheme.
My goes like the Bills when they have the college intern in reception on that last drive.
If they were to drive down the field and score, that's a win and that's like an easy win.
Just because a mist vehicle like Carter miss extra point So we know he's missed.
He kind of has been kind of consist of the past few years, just missing these extra points.
So it's not good, like you shouldn't be missing after opponents in NFL games on the any kicker should be.
So we put him on injury reserve today.
I guess he had, like, some sort of hit problem, which I don't know, could have been kind of do, too. It may be.
I mean, he is a little older, so I guess we'll kind of figure out more on that.
He's on injured reserve, so we're not really sure when we're gonna get him back.
And we're We're really we don't really know what's going on with the kicking situation.
We're definitely gonna bring in some people this week and kind of look around because after all that you need a kicker.
So he for the actual points, like in those questions situations.
So hopefully like some good comes out of that because Gas Kowski, he used to be so clutch, and I think I'm gonna cursed it because when he was like, really close, she was winning games.
Nailing all actual points were easy money for him.
I made like a shirt without him kicking, and it's a clutch on it.
And then I started selling.
If you were buying it, I don't like right after that.
He just started doing terrible, is missing extra points. All this.
So I kind of blame myself honestly, because I made this shirt saying, Oh, he's clutch then he's kind of shown after that shirt that he is not clutch.
And then, like those tight situations or even on extra points like another point, you just got to go to the kitchen and get like a beer, something you shouldn't have to be like.
It's definitely not not fun, like being in a situation where you're down.
It's a close game and gas Kassie's out there after a touchdown.
You gotta come out depend on him to make an extra point, I guess.
I mean, hey, had to be kind of place on a R.
I r something because we have to get someone else a shot like you need probably hurt Thio, which could impact in it.
But either way, I when someone coming keeps missing those opportunities and actual plans, it's like the Patriots way It's always like next man up, but he couldn't do it.
Okay, we'll find someone like next.
Dude has got this.
So hopefully we get someone good.
You can now those extra points because it's something we need because it might.
There is such urgent of plays and it should just be easy points so hopefully we can can establish that and gonna keep this this whole team moving as a whole.
What we need is all sides of the ball to be flowing.
I know Buffalo's defense is good, which kind of limited our offense, but still, it's not really an excuse for kind of like that poor performance, which which everyone kind of knows.
It was like we've been kind of barely ski squeeze through, and that just came out with a win.
So because every knot present, But I guess we'll see so gearing up this week, we're facing their own for Redskins.
I'm so even practicing, getting kind of ready for them.
Um, they're having some injuries gonna practice and people kind of taking it slow, like Josh Gordon his knee.
So he has limited.
Gunnar was limited, Chung was limited.
And, um, Michael Bennett has been ungrateful participation.
So that's kind of good that we're kind of working him into our defense, too, because it's always good to kind of have those better defensive players in the mix.
So I go, uh, notable injuries.
Not really much more than that.
I mean, Gostkowski, he's has, like, i r I just so he's actually gonna be kind of out for the season.
So we really need to kind of find someone new, because it seems like we've been kind of like holding on to it.
It seems like we've been just kind of like holding onto to him and kind of hoping that he does the best and then, like moving forward.
Um, I mean way face off this week against the red skins.
The Redskins have been pretty bad this year.
They have a new quarterback, new kind of offensive scheme, Um, the quarterback situation, like they're kind of hurt.
I honestly think I got defense should be good.
We shouldn't really have a problem stopping them.
It's just like we just really need to keep the offense moving, especially like if we're playing like we've been able to get it moving against I kind of like the bad teams, but it's just like the consistency and just come out.
We better like, keep it going before, like before.
We just kind of all bar there is.
There are so like the rumors of the Patriots and might be trying to get to five days cause not really happy.
And Minnesota, because Minnesota isn't like as give this year.
So I gonna be really cool.
Especially like the Antonio Brown thing to get, like, another real good receiver.
I'm not getting my hopes up or anything, but like that obviously be very cool.
So I guess we're we're really gonna have to see you like, so we're gonna pick up.
He was 11 2 for 15 on actual points this year, which just Okay isn't really good, honestly, because we just have to kinda go down there and put a points.
So that's what this number again.
So, as far as like, the offense of Washington, I don't think they same thing.
I've been seeing kind of the same thing every week, just like I just have a lot of confidence in his defense this year, and I think a lot of fascination should to like.
We don't really know what's gonna be starting at cornerback at quarterback yet.
We have Adrian Peterson, but he never really like much of a threat anymore.
He is not the year yards on the season.
Then they're the receivers.
They have a gimmick.
Lauren, who's pretty good.
But it's not like they have anyone like very, very amazing.
Like Jordan, Reed is a really good tight, and he's still out like two more injuries.
Like one of the top players like Vernon Davis, Josh Norman, like they're all kind of a little hurt today and on ESPN, it actually has the Patriots of 85.
7% chance of winning.
So just kind of take that into consideration.
Pats fans like the stakes, are pretty much in our favors unless it's something really weird happens, which I kind of thought was going that way as the game kind of went on on Sunday.
I mean, I never really doubted it, but I was like, This has potential, especially when their offense wasn't moving.
This has potential to be one of those games and have friends know about those games like the ones we play the Jets of the Dolphins were.
It's just like solely moving interceptions, just the offense.
Just somehow, it just doesn't click.
Like the play calling definitely wasn't ideal, like some of the situations were end.
But all in all, it was enough to get a win.
And I look forward to like moving forward this season, hopefully jumped at five.
You know, against the Redskins.
I mean, the Russians haven't wanted gave me at Southern.
They're also hungry for a win, and that's an away game, too, So they're definitely kind of hungry.
But I think both shot definitely kind of took it hard on them in practice.
And because you kind of have to er, like this week, you're gonna have to in your teens, just like you're supposed to be the best team.
We're putting up all these points.
Then you go and the Buffalo, who's still a pretty good team and just defense out about everything good.
But offense is just what we need to get in and get moving every game.
So that is all everybody I appreciate all tuning in.
