Nick's family was popping.
It's your boy and I'm back.
I seen you earlier today and I'm back here again, you know, saying that we're gonna talk some more New York Knicks and media Day.
But I want to get you guys reaction to everything that happened earlier today.
Everything that you saw, everything that you read.
I want to know how you feel.
About what you So what you heard in you play a couple of clips? No.
I'm gonna play a lot of clips from Scott Perry.
Steve Mills, David Fizdale.
I want to hear with the I want you.
I want to talk about some of the things that Deasy I said because it's the first time that they spoke to the media, since who knows how long? So we're gonna go ahead and get this thing popping, Ladies and gentlemen and, uh, you know, saying let's go ahead and get with it.
And ladies and gentlemen, do me a favor.

In the chat, we got Gamble who couldn't join us earlier because he was working.
I get It s so you couldn't join us in the chat, but he was in a YouTube chatty, kind of make this gonna make that squealer gotta make that money, you know, saying I feel him city for real.
He was with us a little bit earlier.
He didn't join us either.
I'm pretty sure he was probably working.
Got to make that money, you know me.
So they had to talk about it now on anybody who was unable to join its earlier and talkto us you can get your world in.
Now I'm saying, don't be afraid to call 8516452 to 46 to get over to these guys right here.
You see what these guys thought? Man? Nick's immediate days own apartment tomorrow.
Practice begins, you know, saying the rubber's hitting the road tomorrow.
Now we're really gonna go ahead and get down to the nitty gritty and get in with, uh, GMO and to get you on mute first.
There you go. What's good, brother? Hold up. Hold up.
One second idea.
What's go? What? You may It was good said, How you doing? I'm chilling.
I feel I feel pretty good.
I feel pretty good.
I'm what I'm gonna ask you guys to do is, um You might need to join the stream for a second because I don't have the system hooked up where you're going to be able to hear.
I'm gonna play a couple of clips, so you're probably not gonna be able to hear those clips.
If you want to hit Eclipse, then you're gonna have to check out the stream and head eclipse my maternal right? Yeah, but just real quick.
Managers quickly give me an overview of what you thought about Media Day.
Now what you heard from the New York Knicks? Yeah, for the most part, is just a waste of time.
I mean, guys gonna give platitudes and no, you know, this guy's a leader.
I play with this guy.
You know Marcus Morris I kind of laughing like, you know, when I was younger, I always said I want to play The next is like, you know, we get it, bro.
You know, your agent, screw you over on the l A Clippers deal was perfectly fine.
But, you know, it is what it is.
Um, I still think he's here because his l he's visits, building up the goodwill with certain with a bunch of players, which I think is smart bomb.
But overall, me today is all right.
I think one thing, though, it's like get Steve Mills the f out of here, man.
God like this got, like when I give certain answers, can maybe do they understand, like, being professional and not like it? I mean, the whole thing of guards who wanted to come here, but just say, Look, we had a plan it in.
Oh, things changed.
Body blase, blah.
Zy wants a Plan B, and we feel comfortable.
If these guys are all well, you know, they're still trying to give us a lower that people want to come to the guard like no one cares.
Like he would just come to New York don't come to New York and get, you know, chicks or whatever the off season when they come to see, like, if you don't care to play in the garden like that anymore.
So I just don't know that delusion just kind of annoying.
But other than that me today is it is what it is.
The whole ice bath stuff is just I see a corner.
I don't know what with this ice back to working, we're gonna find out and get to the bottom of it.
Somebody is going to get to the bottom of the ice bath guy I can get.
It's gonna come out sooner or later on what this whole thing was about the ice bath and asking every single player about the ice bath.
It'll come out sometime.
You know what I mean? It was a little bit crazy, you know, no one will say I gotta go to city.
I'm They need to start looking to get like we talked about earlier.
They need start getting some of the content creators on his show on these Are these Ah, with the media.
Because you guys as a lot more insightful lot better questions like, you know, you read the Daily Post or the New York Post in the Daily News, and how they break down a game is so garbage, you know, I mean, like, a lot of you guys do a way better job these guys, and, like, I'm just amazed that you guys have access to some of something not feel like some of the players.
You know, they get good questions, you know? Hey, how did you when you, you know, are you working on this deficiency, Bob Lie and college kind of struggle with this.
And I heard you've been working with this coach.
Blah, blah, blah zy, something guys about Alright, this integrity here, I don't mind told Mrs Person, cause, Look, they're gonna be critical.
But, you know, it's not disrespectful is within the realm of basketball.
They're not, you know, butchering my my character or, you know, calling me sir.
Names like Skip Bayless.
And I just feel like I don't know, I'm just I'm done with, like, the media guys like that. No one.
Yeah, well, and and I'm gonna you know, just in, um, response to that, I was there one year I waas in 2014 I was at media day.
It's when Phil Jackson came to the Knicks.
And if you want to turn on your your stream, I'm gonna let you here.
I ext I asked a couple of questions, but the one that actually got on MSG was my question to Tim Hardaway.
And I'm gonna play.
I'm gonna play it right now, all right? And, uh, but that was the last year that I was ever able to gold.
The last year I was able to go to media Day.
I've tried every year since, and I have not been invited back to Media Day.
I don't think it's, you know that they don't like me is just, you know, they have new.
I guess they have, you know, a new regime off media people, and you know they don't want it.
They don't want to bring in bloggers at this moment or they don't want to bring in YouTubers at this moment.
Listen, I got a call from them, actually, last year when I put in my request to be at media day and they said you know, at the moment, you know, we're not inviting Blogger without inviting bloggers or bloggers are or YouTubers.
But you know, we'll have something set up for you guys hasn't materialized yet, you know.
But when I was there that year, there were some people who are not necessarily your bigwigs like Newsday, New York Post, New York Daily News and all that kind of stuff.
There was some other, you know, this is some other forms of media there, you know, Um, we'll see if we ever get back to that, I don't know.
But just for the fun of it, this was back in 2000 and 14 ext.
Did he get a chance to study Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan in the triangle offense and apply it to his game? Here you go.
18 Simeon Russell from nothing but necks.
Have you had a chance to look at cold Brian on Michael Jordan? See how they fit in the triangle offense and related to your game and how you fit into trying office? Yeah, I have watched a lot of YouTube clips of that in a lot of MBA TV.
Horrible classic games with Chicago Bulls and Lakers.
When they're playing in a We just we just trying to visualize myself being one of those guys and try and go and see how they react on defensive end as well made them really good defenders.
And, uh, just how they performed out there and executed.
Now that was That's what Tim Hardaway told me.
And so that gives you guys a little bit of history.
Why was so hard on Tim Hardaway? Because he told me in person that he was studying Kobe Bryant.
He was studying Michael Jordan, and something that he took from them was playing defense playing defense.
When he came back to us, I was like, Okay, maybe he got a chance to apply some of what he learned from Kobe and Jordan to his gay.
I've held it against him ever since.
Because he should have applied that defense. I'm sorry.
Tomorrow way, Junior.
No, I'm not sorry.
But so once upon a time, GMO I was at media day.
Haven't been back since.
Maybe I could go back next year.
Yeah, let's get them numbers of men and get them like some guys, man.
Yeah, because Because everything's moving to the engine.
And now So they're trying to catch the trying to capture that audience more so or more.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's happening, City.
I'm coming to You may come into your city.
What's going on? How you feeling? I'm going to some man.
How you feeling, bro? I'm feeling good, man.
Tell me, how'd you feel about media Day? What? You hurt, bro.
Uh, you know, I would have to say this him the only one thing that I did not like.
I did not like one thing about Media Day, man.
And the one thing was when I heard the same story that we heard last year, right? And I'm talking about I just want to get out the little Requip.
And I'm talking about the, you know, they keep what you kill things like, you know what I'm saying? Like if these guys, if we playing that and we talking that again, right, Well, how about you keep what you kill? Our open? That they are talking about doing that as far as you keep what you kill when you're on the basketball floor and you're not in practice, like you know, it's him because last year it was the keyboard you kill in practice.
You see them saying and we were putting guys out there that was showing it up, doing whatever they needed to do in practice.
But when it came to on the court, they will doing that.
And that's why we've seen so many different lineup changes.
So when it comes back to that, if we keep them what we kill, hopefully we pick a starting lineup.
And if you keep him while you kill you keeping where you killed when you're on the starting floor and not in practice, because when you have practiced you know some things about people, right? Because that's your boy.
That's your teammate.
You know, a check it.
I know this guy likes to go right, so you might be them 1/2 a step to the right before he gets there.
So now you showing them up in practice.
But when you get on the N b a court, you ain't doing that.
So I'm hoping like I said again, I'm gonna say it again.
I'm hoping that we do it to where if you're keeping what you killed.
Keep what you kill while you're on the basketball floor and not in practice broke.
That's all. I wanted to say that.
All right. All right. Now I feel you there.
Well, you know, they're going to start practice tomorrow.
They're going to start getting down and dirty with practice tomorrow.
And, you know, we're gonna see if everything that they said, we're gonna start seeing it this week.
And of course, you know what the first week is gonna be like that it's gonna be like that the first week, and then we'll see if they continue.
You know, if they can keep it up throughout the season.
You know, a guy Taj Gibson kind of moved it a little bit too.
You know how with way that this team destruction and contracts a structured nor those type of things, the way things can go sour.
And I really respect the fact that Tide's Gibson brought that up.
Ah, and I think my guy man, you Well, he called me earlier while we resolved and started talking about tides and in some of the things that he was saying and you know, like I said to him, That's the signs of a leader, you know? I mean, he's seen it all.
He's seen everything, is 34 years old, he's been around the league, has been on good teams, bad teams, championship caliber teams.
He's seen it all.
He's seen teams come together at training camp and then splinter during the season, you know? I mean, that's going to be the value of Taj Gibson.
It's gonna be a big value of times, Gibson.
All right, Nate, I'm going to come to you real quick and then, um and I want to get too.
I want I want to get to a quote from Scott Perry about the one year deals and get you guys.
I want to find out what you guys think about it.
But, Nate, go ahead, man.
Did you get a chance to watch? How do you feel? I have not.
I saw maybe a couple of minutes of it, and then I kind of got busy.
But what? From the couple of minutes I I listened Their three things that I took from there.
What? Mills and Perry, we're saying okay.
Number one is that, um, talent upgrade, which to me I read between the lines and to me, it seemed like they didn't feel like the team was that good last year.
Well, you know what? They used to wear talent.
Well, I mean, they weren't that good last year, so it's true.
But I'm saying, from a talent standpoint, they feel like they had a lot of talent on the team, right? And they talked about upgrading the talent.
So that was the first point I saw second point versatility.
Um, we talked a lot about this.
A lot of these players can play versatile positions on the floor, you know, with the wing and the pores.
You know, you can use them in many different ways.
So I thought that was interesting.
And in the third point is when they talked about the free agents or the how the free agent thing went, it seemed like and tell me if I'm wrong, I might be wrong on this.
But it seemed like they targeted these players.
Maybe over a Kevin Durant or a Kyrie.
Well, I'm not going to say that.
They talked at these players over Kevin Durant and Kyrie.
When I'm going to say is they probably had 10 different rosters on the board off guys that they could sign and how to put these guys together, just different combinations of players that that they thought they had a chance in getting in free agency.
Well, they talked.
They talked about fit, and they talked about how what would fit our lineups. Ryan.
Right? And that's why I think that, you know, they also talked about, you know, we talked to some Max players or we weren't necessarily as intrigued with Max players.
You know, we want to see what would best fit our teeth.
Well, what CIA And I'm going to get to that because I think this show is going to cover what was said by, you know, the front office.
A lot of this show is going to cover what was said by the front office because there's some things that was set.
Ah, and I wantto those temperatures there and how much you really feel and believe what they were saying.
You know, I do believe that these guys were on their board.
Do I believe that they want it? Julius Randle Ah or Bobby Portis over Kevin Durant? Hell, no.
They wanted They wanted Kevin Durant, But it didn't happen.
They were lukewarm our curry.
But they wanted Kevin Durant didn't happen.
He made it clear you didn't do interviews.
He didn't interview with one team.
So you know, people complain about that. Whatever.
He didn't do any views.
He made up his mind.
He researched the Brooklyn Nets coach all YouTube and decided from his YouTube research that he wanted to be in Brooklyn.
Fine. I had no idea about that.
All right, fine.
So you know, So he goes there and, like Steve Mills said, I agree with him.
You got X, those guys about that.
But do I believe that he wanted these guys that they wanted Bobby Portis over Kevin Durant or Julius Randle over Kevin Durant? No, I don't believe that.
I believe Kevin Durant was the guy that they wanted.
And then, you know, they didn't get him, So they spun and they had a really good plan when they spun.
You understand that? You know, that's what I believe, you know, Maybe, maybe not so much Kevin Durant, but I think that they targeted a lot of these players that they had them on top of their board.
I went to pre agency like it's these guys we want. We're not.
We're not interested, like unnecessarily.
Maybe the lower tier creations we want.
We want guys that fit our what we were looking for.
And they said defensively to write, you know? No, I I agree with you there.
And, you know, obviously we know that the Knicks signed a lot off guys who were on one year deals or, you know, one year, Uh, you know, two years with the second years, the team ops, you know, something like that.
And Scott Perry was axed about that, you know, he was axed about these guys aren't one year deals.
And, like I said, ah, Guillermo and city for real earlier.
Right now, in order to listen to the sound, uh, you're gonna have to you're gonna have to join into the stream, right? Uh, you're gonna have to join the stream, and then you can listen to the sound S o.
I want you to hear what Scott Perry had to say about the Knicks signing so many one year deals when it was ext.
You know how he thinks it might impact the team.
All right, so this is Scott Perry.
Ladies and gentlemen, I obviously I think we upgraded our talent.
And I hope that some of these guys will be here long term, you know, based on how that plays out.
But that's gonna play out organically, do it through the season that's gonna pay out to the competition that you have every day in practice.
And then once we start playing games against competition, who's gonna be here? One thing.
We continue that all these guys really want to be here.
They're focused on the team, and they understand that the best way to need to stay here, you know, and make themselves even more valuable.
Rhonda Lee is to win.
So that's what we're excited.
All right, so, you know, he didn't really answer the question.
You know as much about the one year deals and how could impact the team things.
You know what he did.
And you know what he did say? You heard what he said.
You know that these guys understand that winning is the best way to you know bolster their career.
You know, either stay here if they want to stay here, or you'll get a better contract or another contract elsewhere.
Now that other contract elsewhere is probably related to Marcus Morris.
You're saying because I believe the other guys the Knicks have, you know, they have the opposite to re sign these guys, you know? So it's probably related to, you know, Marcus Morris.
Now, I do not believe that Marcus Morris is going to be back.
Ah, I believe that Marcus Morris.
You know, he said, you know, he could say whatever he wants about being close to home and being in New York, and that's all fine and well, but I believe that Marcus Morris signed for that $15 million contract because he was getting more money here than he was getting in San Antonio.
And he'll be going into summer time unless we know that something is is gonna is happening with, you know, some other players.
And he's gonna be a big part of that puzzle.
You know, that means that in my opinion, he'll either be going in the summer or he'll be gone.
He'll be gone in the summertime.
Well, he'll be going by the deadline.
Wanted it to wanted it to Ah, this How you feeling? All right.
Ah, I watched the presser or the media my kind Call your stream But I obviously was the that was watching the, uh, Livestream mites was hard for me to kind of get into your chat.
But I guess like, here's my two cents is right so one, I think there's a lot of people I don't wantto put people blast in general, but there's a lot of people that seem to forget You know what the purpose of meat is, right? So media day in the end of the day, is really just, huh? It's It's a really, like a puff puff day where it's like, you know, you you know, it's a new season, you know, get everybody up.
Mystical and also their fun stuff issues, you know, it's just like a happy go lucky Ghirardelli.
Go look at me and I still feel like a positive type of moment. Sally.
So you know, you're gonna always hear anything you hear from the front office.
It's always you're gonna you're gonna hear because they're yours.
You're going to make a positive spin on it.
That's that's a purpose. Immediate.
It this is nothing new.
It's like any press conference where you're not going to say, Oh, you know, we struck out on, you know, we're not gonna make a bad note out of me today because that defies the point immediately.
You're not going to say, Oh, you know, I'm disappointed We missed out on all these creating what we owe.
But but let me ask you this.
But why not say, why not say you know what? We didn't get those.
We didn't get those guys.
So we pivot it and did this right, because instead, instead, Steve Mills, this is what? And I know that you can't You can't hear this over the appearing right now.
You've got to join us the stream.
But instead, Steve Mills kind of made it like Listen, we could have spoke to this guy or that guy or this Max player, that max player, But this is the route that we decided to go, you know, I'm saying instead of just saying, you know what, It didn't work.
So this was our Plan B, and we're really, really satisfied with what we did.
And we think we could be competitive with what? Well, so So I went the way you worded it, I would work the same way.
I agree with you.
You will say it.
Just like just like the way you said it.
Steve Mills, for all you know, you know, we can want We're gonna be one thing.
You know, He's not the great communicator in the world despite being with people communicate really well.
So, you know, Cody awarded that better.
Yeah, he could've worded a lot better, but I think for him, I'm just I'm not defending anybody, right, guys, my whole thing is that, you know, I feel like they were always gonna lose lose position, right? If they talk about it, they're admitting defeat, and then, you know, they're now they're gonna get, like, a week's worth of, you know, they admitted defeat back in July, Right? Sorry.
This is what happened.
You know, they get blasted for the next week and after about it, and maybe he goes away by the middle of July.
You know, Dr Free Agency heads, They don't talk about it.
Then they still get blast.
We're not talking about when they do finally talk about me today.
They you know, they will still get clowned about it.
So it's almost like they're in a lunatic and no win proposition and, you know, whatever they say, uh, it almost really doesn't make a difference, right? It doesn't really change any sort of perception.
Now, that isn't that completely.
Doesn't That isn't a seven relation to anything that you just said, you know? Could you word it better? Yes.
You know what I like Steve Mostow.
Were things better? Yes.
What? I probably like Steve Mills to do more damage control.
Yes, but, um, you know, I just felt it was a no win situation.
Second thing, I just I kind of heard a little bit.
From what, You know, the earlier discussions were, but you know, I think people don't seem to understand the importance of a Plan A b and C, right? And I guess the real analogize this right? And, you know, there's a lot of people.
There's a bunch feeling chat like they own homes to stuff I don't personally home, but this like, it's an analogy many people could relate to.
Right? So say you're doing a home renovation, right? You do like a pull out home renovation.
Where you doing? Like a first floor innovation.
Something right? And you have these old grandmaster plans of mine art.
You know, I got this much budget, right? You know, I'm gonna put in this much money for, you know, floors this that this that third rate you say you lied to this much money you wanted, Like the best floors ever, right? And like the best hardwood floor it and maybe, like a day, a day or two before, you know, they're starting the work on the floors, right, cause you got to take out all the coursers they realize.
Oh, you know, uh, this floor is not available, right? You can't get it.
So they already took out all the other floors, right? So you're not gonna, like, just like you're not gonna leave your home as it is because, you know, you're you're you know you know, floors, right? I'm not gonna cry about it, cause hey, I need to actually live somewhere 19 types of finishes home, right, Right.
So what you do is you think I'm okay? You know? You think beforehand, OK, fine.
If you know this floor that you know what happened to this type of marble floor is not available, right? You have, like, two or two or three other plans in mind.
Another example of a fridge, right? Save the right fridge.
You want actually fit right? There you go.
You always have Plan B and C and my So every single summer is not like teams Don't just go into every summer thinking of Plan A, B and C you could be his confidence you want.
But you know, any sort of organization, any sort of person, right? Yeah.
Uh, let me just stop before one second.
I just want to break it down for my friends who don't own homes.
Right? And I'm gonna put it down on this level for you guys.
It's like you thought you had some money and he was going to go buy yourself a sub.
And then you found out you didn't have money.
So you just said, Forget it.
I'm gonna go home, and I'm gonna get this peanut butter and jelly and ramen noodles sick and flavor.
And guess what? That peanut butter and jelly and ramen noodles.
Hits home real good.
And you feel really satisfied off that peanut butter and jelly and ramen noodles, something like that.
I could even say you're going.
You're trying to trying to, you know, have a party, right? You know, But you can't find, like, the right, like, you know, whatever drinking.
Whatever. Right? So you gotta like, Pivot.
I got, like, 1/2 an hour where he had a plan A B and C.
You know, some things just don't work out.
And then you got a plan B or C now, like you said, can't be worded better.
Sure, it could be worth it better.
But, I mean, this is its media.
I mean, some people are not the best of wording things, and I don't know, I don't know what Perry is the best that, you know, communicating that Plan B, it's either.
So it's difficult, you know, if you're getting barraged all the time, right? You know, they they have to Obviously, they listen to everything that you have to say.
They're hearing all those comments.
They heard all your signing five power for its clearly Perry and Mills, you know, solve those ESPN things.
They saw all this other non stick deal a discussion, right? Hits that.
They're human truth, you know, they what's going on? So did, uh And you heard Scott Perry talk about, you know, say how the guys, you know, talk about the all the signings at the power before with stuff he addressed that, you know, he addressed it.
It's not like they don't listen to it.
Hey, it clearly hurt you. Yeah.
And here's what.
Here's what Scott.
Here's what Steve Mills had to say about signing the Max players.
I let me let me chew that up real quick.
He's talking about signing Max players, and, like I said, you're gonna have to hear this on the stream guys, that's in the video chat, you know, because he was ext about missing out on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
And this is what Steve Mills at players that we could have met with.
That we're interested in coming here.
We had a we had a certain way.
We wanted to build this team and this is This is how we chose to build it, and I would just add to that the guys that we did these guys have multiple options as well.
So it's not like, you know, I don't want to understand the sale, the talent that we got, these guys Air Vet, the basketball players accomplished basketball players and they saw this as an opportunity, really, to grow themselves and contribute to to a place that had a chance to be one day.
Yeah, so So you know, he was asked about, you know, Kevin Durant.
Kyrie Irvin signing with Brooklyn.
He said, You gotta AKs those guys And and then he said, Listen, we had a chance.
We could have talked to Max Type players know what Max type players that wanted to sign here.
But this is the way that we chose to go.
Now what I I could take from that, that he's either trying to, you know, bullshit us and just say, you know, this is how we wanted to build.
Or I could take from that that there were some guys, like maybe a Jimmy Butler, right? Guys like that that wanted Max money, they didn't feel he deserved Max money.
So they decided we're not going to give you Mac's money.
So we're going to go in this direction.
It could be that as well.
You know, I'm not gonna discount that.
What I think, I think guys like Terry Rozier, you know, highest case.
Maybe Tobias Harris wasn't even here when it was.
But those type of guys, right? Yes.
Those similar to Randall.
In a sense, we're like, bigot, that much money, even like a Bogdanovich or whatever.
Anybody got the 80 $90 million? Whatever they're like, I don't know.
I don't think this is the right direction.
We're gonna go this direction completely fair.
It's a fair point.
Eso eso he could have.
He could have been referring to that as well.
I don't think he's referring to, like the max types ago.
Like Kawai and that money.
It's even like when you when you in for Max type.
It's really like the tear like that.
Like the 80 $90 million guys.
More than like doing butlers of the world, right? Yeah.
That's what I thought.
You could completely be a different interpretation, but we don't talk to Steve felt splatter.
No, no, I think I think you're right on the money there.
I want to hear from some of these other guys to see what they think.
I, um Well, actually, I'm gonna play this one clip, and then I'm gonna get back to you guys, and I will come around and find out what everybody thinks.
Ah, you know about this one Quick, Pierre.
And I guess I have to repeat the clip back to you guys unless you listen.
Um, this right here is David Fizdale.
Now that you know, we we know who we signed and we got all these guys, they addressed everybody that we signed.
Now it comes to the question comes How would you going to balance? You got some older players and you got some younger players.
And this is the question that we've been asking for a while.
How is he going to balance these guys? How is he gonna play some of the older players and make sure he's developing the young players? And this is fizzed.
L's answer to that question.
Let me get it up here for you.
Here we go. Well, I felt like this.
There's more balance to the roster than that.
You know, I do feel like we do have a road, a crop of really young guys that we want to continue to grow.
But I felt like the guys that we added, they kind of go across the spectrum.
You know, when you look at guys like Julius Randle on Bobby Portis, those guys have played in this league and contributed to this league.
So I don't look at them as Ultra, you know, dies it in.
You got guys like Marcus Morris and ties Gibson and Wayne Ellington, who have taken a few laps in this league.
So with that balance, I just felt like it all serves each other well.
The competition is gonna play out how it's gonna play out on him, plays the most minutes and things like that.
But I also think we're in that next phase of development where guys have really gotta earn it and really have to compete to get the minutes to help us win games.
So there you go.
He didn't really say, I mean, I guess what he was saying about how he's going to balanced the roster and distribute minutes comes down to like, he said.
Where that next level will guys have to compete and earned their stripes and earn their time on the court? I hope he sticks to it because I don't think he stuck to that last year.
We'll see if he sticks to it this year, you know, But you know, I will say this.
Some of the players that you have on the roster this year, you better stick to what you said because this is a different type of guy on the team.
It's a different kind of guy out there on the floor.
Marcus Morris, Julius Randle, Bobby Portis.
You know, saying they're not the guys we had last year that's not know of our lay Mario Hezonja.
These guys have a presence.
Julius Randle, Marcus Morris.
These guys have a presence in the league, you know, saying so you know, I think it's gonna be I think David Fizdale is going to stick to what he's saying Ah lot Maur than maybe what he did last season because these guys have a a presence Ah, bigger presence in the locker room and is going to be a pawn.
Fizdale to make sure he has market s'mores.
Julius Randle I'ma Keep come back to those two tarts Gibson on board with everything that he's doing because that's going to be your leadership squad.
That's going to be your leadership guys.
Those guys gonna be, You know, between those three guys, if they're choosing to Captain's, two of those three guys will probably be the captains of the team.
I don't know if you're gonna make markets Morris to captain of the team, because he may be, you know, he may not be here long.
He may be shipped out.
Taj Gibson, Julius Randle.
Those guys might be Captain's gonna talk about Julius Randle a little bit later cause I like some of the things that I heard from him, you know? Although, frankly, Latina is the longest tenure.
Nick, Nate, You think Frank is gonna be the captain? I'm just joking about the way I'm just joking.
By the way, he's not going to be the captain.
I'm just joking because he's the longest tenured.
He's not going to be the captain.
I could guarantee you he's not going to be the captain.
You know, I had a kind of cachet yet, but go ahead, man.
Yeah, Just a real quick sidebar on what Mills said.
You know, he also did say that they had no control over what the other guys were going to do, which basically tells me that they weren't really in the discussions of meeting with them.
You know, they pretty much we're just gonna go according to plan of whatever they wanted to do.
And if Kevin Durant had called them or something like that or shown interest and they would have met with course.
But I mean that to me.
Uh, no, I'm just saying, I mean, they don't have it even if you meet with you still don't have any control over what those guys going to do exactly that. They just went.
They went about to do their own business.
They didn't worry about it, Which is good.
I'm glad they did that, Um, because they weren't like the Lakers who missed out on everybody when they thought that they were going to get all these people and, you know, independent get, like, you know, lower tier players.
So about Fizdale.
I didn't Really, uh you didn't really say a lot, man.
and it's really frustrating me.
And I'm sure a lot of Knick fans out there that it seemed like the same old B s that we heard last year.
You gotta eat what? You kill all that stuff.
You know, we're gonna have competition all the B s.
I'm not buying it, man.
I wanted more of his accountability, like, Hey, it was on me.
My coaching wasn't good.
I need to do a better job as as a coach.
You know, I need to install more philosophy and even storm or system or any.
I don't get none of that stuff.
All I heard was like, I'm gonna say five seconds or something and then move on and hide behind everybody else.
Well, I'm really I'm really worried about You know what? You know, I think I gotta disagree with your little bit.
You know, he didn't say I'm going to install this type of a system, right? I didn't say he didn't use the word system.
Uh, he did say that he wants to play a hard no style of defense.
He did mention that I missed that part.
I haven't heard it all, but I'm just I'm just talking about, Like the intro part? Yeah, Time to speak.
He really didn't say nothing different than what I've heard before.
Well, we are going to talk about you might hear some stuff when we talk about the playoffs because he did talk about, um, you know, he said he wanted to have a hard nosed defense.
Scott Perry said the same thing.
I wanna have a hard nose style defense.
Ah, about the offense.
You know, he didn't allude to any kind of style.
Only thing he said is he wants to play the type of game where everyone gets a chance on the open society, the flu.
But of course, schooling, you know, is going to go by your pecking order, you know? But I was I guess I was kind of surprised because, like you, what's the beginning? The press conference, all the questions were directed the Fizdale about how you're gonna make this work.
You know what, have you learned it all that like a ce faras last year and all this stuff and I just felt like it was the same song and dance that that he really I wanted him to take more accountability for last year.
Like, say, you know what? I got to do a better job coaching.
I gotta do a better job with making adjustments.
I gotta do a better job of getting players in the right positions and all that.
I I wish you would've took more ownership and accountability for that.
I don't know if he did later on, but it just doesn't seem like that's the type of person he is, you know, and and I don't know.
I mean, maybe I'm wishing for something that's not gonna be there, but I just I don't know.
It just frustrates me because I think we have a good team.
I think we have a lot of good young players we have.
The right front office is making the right decisions.
The only problem is the coach has got to get on par with what we're doing and and install something.
Give a philosophy, give if you're going to say we're gonna be committed minded, then put a defensive line about there.
You know, let's let's see what you say, because right now all I'm hearing is the car salesman pitch.
You know, this all sounds fine and dandy until we see it on the court, and then this that has happened.
You know, I'm saying, OK, well, you know, you know, we'll see.
Ah, it's going to be very different Like Marcus Morris said.
It's going to be different from last year.
It's going to be very different.
I I'm going to say this right.
As much as I've gotten on Fizdale, you do need to have a leadership structure.
He didn't have much of a leadership structure in place last year.
And when I'm saying leadership structure, I don't mean leadership structure as far as your your fun office staff, right? I'm talking about your bets, your your players.
You've gotta have a leadership structure.
You know, when the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2008 you know why they won the Super Bowl later.
Part of the reason, because Tom Coughlin changed his coaching style a little bit and he implemented a leadership council that had Michael Strahan and some other guys on that leadership council guys that could go back and talk to the players about what coach wants what coach needs and then those players could say what this is what we're feeling he could bring.
You know, Michael Straight handing that leadership group could bring it back to Tom Coughlin.
Right? So Tom Kaufman changed up his coaching style a little bit later.
Comedy of the players, right? And you know, Tom Coughlin had to do that because he's older and he was generations older than the guy, so he can't speak the same language now.
Fizdale is not a generation older than these guys, you know.
They may be one generation removed from some of these guys.
He can still speak the same language is these guys, But still, you need that leadership group because the coach is always in the locker room.
So when things that being said things that happened in the locker room, you need those players to keep to keep it together, the coats can't get out of gold and hope for you.
So you gotta have that leadership structure to guys that could set with those things.
We don't have it last year, but some don't you think it's a sign of a good coaches accountability and maybe sometimes taking the blame when you have a young team, but you're not gonna throw young players under the bus, But as a coach, you're going to say, You know what? I gotta coach better.
I got to be better.
I have to adjust better.
You know, there's a lot of things I have to do to make you feel better.
Don't you think that from, you know what? Together for Spoelstra's computer.
Like guys like that.
You know what he did? You know, there was some interviews, not at media day, but there was some interviews after this.
Easy where he talked about, you know? Yeah, I know.
There's some mistakes that I made and, you know, some things they need to do.
He may not put it right out there, but, you know, Yeah, we'll see, man.
I mean, I will say this, right? And I know we're spending a lot of time on things that the front office said I did.
Finnish Media Day.
Once it was over, I was up.
I mean, I'm always optimistic, but just optimistic because I like what I heard.
Yeah, a lot of things.
That cliche, of course, but I still like what I heard from some from some players that aren't exactly cliche.

Follow me, please.
All right, so let's get back.
I'm gonna get back to the guys in the chat and I lost my train of thought.
We're gonna get back to the guys in the chat and we're gonna talk about David Fizdale.
I want to listen to ah, clip perfect from David Fizdale.
Then we're gonna get to the guys that send a check and get their take on some of the things that we're gonna hear in this clip.
And like I said, guys, you guys are not gonna be able to hear this clip.
But this is about the playoffs.
This is talking about the playoffs, right? And then I get around to you.
I was supposed to get around everybody.
I'll get back around everybody.
What? This is David Fizdale when he was asked about you know, Are you going to say anything about the playoffs? Are the playoffs my head? You go about the in regards to the playoffs.
This is this is David Fizdale.
I just say this.
Look, art, our guys in there are coming in here expecting the win games and trying to win games.
And so when the dust settles, of course, that's where we want to be.
But at the end of the day, we're not sitting here, you know, just throwing that in our players face every single day.
We're gonna work extremely hard every day.
And every time we step on that court were coming out to win games.
So there we have it, and this goes back to goals.
If you got a chance to watch the stream earlier today, you know that we talked about some story lines for the season, a lot of the same things that you hold immediate day point guard, battle Ah, you know, had a managed roster.
Can Julius Randle take it to the next level? Can R J Bear being rookie of the year running those type of things we discussed earlier today before we got to me today? But another thing we discussed.
What goals? What did the goals for the season Now Scott Perry, Steve Mills, David Pfister.
They say there are knows goals.
We're gonna take it day by day.
I'm gonna work hard every day and try to get better.
So there's no specific goals like we want to be in the playoffs.
Not exactly sure I agree with that.
But you know, that's different philosophy on a roll with it.
But he does say this.
These guys came here toe win.
They want to win, right? They came here to win.
So why? There's no specific goals they want to win.
I want to know what you guys think about David Fizdale is Scott Perry.
All those guys just you know there's no goals, but we want a wing and we're gonna work hard to try and win.
Gonna lay down every single day, but there's no specific goals.
We're gonna play it by ear.
I know what you guys think about that.
All right, Uh, come to, uh, come to Ross.
I'm a kind of Ross.
What's going on with you? First of all, And let me say I see.
I see you're holding up the windscreens with your mikes.
Man's got some dope windscreens.
Got the engine blew.
Windscreens is pretty dope.
Um, I know that you listen to the ER That's you Listen to the media day today.
David Fizdale said that, you know, there's no specific goals to make.
The playoffs is not something that is beaten in the guy's head every time they come into practice.
You know, obviously, you know, that's the end point where they'd like to be, but they're not putting out any specific goals.
They're gonna take it day by day.
How do you feel about that? Um, it says like I feel like the way I'm going back to what I tell you before about and I have a frank not having a lot of career.
And I have in Michelle Robinson.
I feel like both our check move that they kind of don't want to expose them to the media.
So I feel like I am not putting those three players that I kind of wanted to see.
I wanted to see Frank cause we just sort of been feeble.
Um, you start to protect him in a minute.
He doesn't want, probably dumped instinct of all day over the media, like you guys were just talking about how the media in that room has no correlation with greater cause.
Dating in high school.
They were not player.
They were basically the numbers that were being bullied, like sport.
Well, I kind of feel like about so stay by big feels good, but at the same time, it's like, I guess, just being two years on with weightless who's kind.
We just want to show up with other people you're seeing as the next guy killed it, such that everybody likes to look down on us, and I've been seeing a lot, a lot of highlights of the players, but I didn't see the whole team, you understand? I'd even get to see a team picture, okay, stressful, You know, I know, but do you think that the Knicks should be setting goals or Do you think it's good for them to just kind of go? We're gonna go.
We're gonna work hard day by day, go day by day it and see what happens from there.
I think it's a good idea, because then we would have some leverage.
We never had leverage.
You know what started? Mayer was signing a guy, and he gets stranger, and I we're stuck with this.
We're still playing.
I think we're still paying Noah from both of them. A mom.
The crazy guy blocking more the French guy, huh? What's going on? Well, I mean, he went You went crazy.
Millions that he went like car Pavano.
Like, so I mean, I don't know.
I feel like it's a good state, but I think the US is just the impatiens over, like, I just want to see a game.
I just want to complain, You understand.
Now I feel that I just want to see him planet.
I just want to see him playing too, you know, saying, But I just want to know, Like, what? What? You know what? What is it that they're doing what they want from the season That's the big thing for me.
Um, because to me, that dictates.
And it sounds like David Fizdale said they want to win.
Scott Perry said they wanna win.
But to me that this dictates some of the things you do.
Um, Viv, what do you think, man? And the expectation you go Her goals? Yeah, about setting any kind of expectations.
What do you think? Yeah, I think they should.
I mean, I think any sort of organization should always send calls.
Now is something you tell you.
Tell everyone immediately.
No, but you know what? Never. You started season.
You could always set some goals.
I mean, that's that's the purpose of being co traitor being, you know, part of any organization.
Is it gonna be certain wins? I mean, probably.
I mean, but you should always say gold there.
What's that was the purpose of playing a season.
If you don't set any goals, even if you're even if your quota if you're rebuilding right or you're you know you're not gonna expect to win a lot of games, you can always set goals for howto.
You know, you show it.
If anything, it'll motivate players right at least you know, clears air accomplishing something rather than just looking at it under the lens of losing games.
So I mean, even for you, right? Like, you know, you, coach, you go to basketball.
You you see, you know, you you see, probably set goals.
I mean, you don't tell him you tell everybody what the goals are, but at least you you set some goals so you can shut up.
You said a barometer for progress, right? You always got in my Yeah.
You always got to set goals.
Because if you don't set goals like you said, you have a barometer for progress.
If you don't set goals, how do you know if you were successful? Well, not exactly.
And how do you evaluate your rusty? Right? So, yeah, I always said goals.
I mean, but, like you said, maybe they set some goals, but they're not letting you know.
They're not gonna tell us.
I'm sure they have some internal goals, Some things that they'd like to accomplish these problems.
If you tell us right then it's like, Okay, now you got in the paper the next morning.
Okay? Nick said this call for X Y and Z right? But now it's always now that both more mature.
And then when those when you don't meet those goals, then you're gonna see Bolden.
But you're going to see another like headline in April saying, Okay, and you know, Nick's didn't meet this goal and he was disappointing.
Season X y z So now it's like three headlines.
Yeah, and then you gotta talk about why you didn't meet that goal later in May and June, right? And then it's just like a rinse and repeat so and sometimes a CZ, you know, goals can always they're adaptable, right? So, you know, sometimes you realize, though these goals might have been two loft here, they might have been two to come here to to low, right.
So, you know, you a doctor goals, but there's no need to tell the whole Eagles.
Um, I suspect that there's some kind of goals within within the team.
They're just not gonna just not going to say it because they didn't know.
They don't want to raise expectations of the fans.
You know, saying or lower expectations there.
You know it's much better if we can have our fans, they even kill.
And with the New York Knicks, I don't think that's possible that the fans they even kill, you know, mean, but the best that they could try to do that, you know, they came, But I don't know.
I would like to know some kind of a goal, you know? You know what they're doing for this season, you know? Are they no something? Um, Gamow? Where do you think, man? You can't missem? Yeah, come to you.
I mean, I actually kind of agree.
Vic, man, you internalize It goes, I think that's a little better, because again, the whole you don't want to give the media anything to feed off.
All right? If you sit there and say, Hey, we're gonna we're trying to strive for the playoffs.
Then they get the media is gonna say, Well, the Knicks that their men date is to get set up, play up.
All of you know, obviously every team, once you get to the playoffs, But, you know, I mean, the media, they're gonna hold you to it.
People, some of these younger pressure kids gonna be on the pressure, even though I'm on the negative reinforcement is like, Hey, you tell me I can't get the players.
I'm gonna get the players and show you, but guys are different to me.
I wish it's the only thing I would have asked for, um, fizzle to do.
I don't necessarily want him to say anything about goals because it closed, maybe to the used car salesman thing and also platitudes like you eat what you kill.
But in last year, you guys are thinking, Yeah, whatever.
All over I would have asked for is, you know, or I would have liked to hurt from who's more so of what your identity is gonna be.
Are you gonna be defensive team? Are you meeting that's more geared towards development? Is there gonna be a mixture of development? Plus, getting the vets to play? Is it gonna be a fast temple offense? That guy's gonna You know what? You have court philosophies.
What are you guys gonna do that sets you apart and says, All right when I play the Knicks, if I'm the Miami here, the Pacers of Lakers and I'm coming to play the Knicks.
They play this style away, and we have to count for.
That's all it is like because you have anything.
But that's not really an indictment.
They have so many people, this team, that's like, What are they trying to do, what kind of gumbo they trying to cook up and it's like, You know that I think stuff like that, you know, he could give an answer.
Hey, which would be defensive trying to be tough.
We're trying to be a rebound team, got a peanut defense, passing lanes, things that nature like.
I would rather hear that the whole wind stuff meant Keep that man we've heard about Oh, yeah, we're gonna make the playoffs, guys.
Only place you're about dream teams out from the Knicks.
But just from other team, like the Philadelphia homes like that 2000 Whatever team 11 team always super team in it.
The only have been made the playoffs.
So I was like, I just know that win stuff we don't need here.
We have a signature.
We understand that you have a lot of new players and you're trying to gel these guys.
Just try to give us some insight into what your vision is now.
Not that you're not tanking.
You're gonna actually coach these guys up.
What you gonna do? And another thing I would've asked What the principal is you're gonna take from your grizzlies.
You your grizzly. You're top of the grizzlies.
Your time with the heat because the heat all about physical conditioning defense that grizzlies you actually trying to implement certain things like getting your big man to be to be able to space the floor and you has a castle.
Now you turn to that in Toronto.
Are you gonna do that stuff with Mitchell Robinson? You're gonna get to shoot more beautiful, more offensive things, that nature.
Give me some idea.
So what? The identity of your team and some of the key players will be going forward for the season.
That's what The last.
Okay, now I get it.
I get it. I'll get it. I'll get it.
Now I want to get into some players.
We've been talking about the front office.
I want to talk about some players and want to start with Julius Randle.
Um, because you know, one of the things Gamow meet you and Tony had a conversation.
We did a video about it you know, talking about Julius Randle on whether or not he's ready to be a leader and and, you know, if he's there mentally, we know he could do it.
You know, physically on the court, you know, he could be.
You know, that leading scorer on the court most likely will be the next didn't score, but he's being acts to step in and be the leader of this team.
And it just so happens in sports that your best player becomes your leader and whether or not that person has leadership characteristics or leadership abilities.
Right now, he's played under Kobe Bryant's paid with Kobe Bryant.
Hopefully, he learned something from Kobe about being, you know, you know, a leader you said you had.
I disagree with you.
I don't think that I don't think the Lakers win without Kobe Bryant being a leader.
You know, say in a demanding type of a leader, you know? I mean, I don't know how much Anthony Davis was a leader, but I'm pretty sure there are some things that he would that he took from cold Bryant.
He may not be, you know, Kobe Bryant may not have been the most.
Ah, you know, the kind of guy that you're going to get along with me is going to take you out.
He's gonna take you to pour the Rego, you know, mean and buy you a watch into all this kind of stuff.
You may not be in that kind of leader.
No, but I'm pretty sure he's got some leadership abilities and some leadership qualities.
You know, I know every team's gonna have several leaders, and he was definitely, in my opinion.
He was one of the leaders of that team from the Los Angeles Lakers.
But here's some things from Julius Randle, and I think he said some good things about being a leader.
We'll see if he's able to actually make it come to fruition.
I, uh, this is Julius Randle.
I'm bursting through how work trying to carry myself, you know, embracing how I tried to show compassion for God's and understand it.
You know, it's not about being a leader and saying, You do this, you do that.
It's going out there and got skins.
Can't look at you.
You're going to court and say, you know, he's leading by example.
He's doing what he's saying or whatever it is, and that's how I embrace it.
And also in verses, just like I said, I want to make everybody better, you know? It's not about me.
It's not about okay, The next guy, the next guy's about us as a team on it was getting better.
And, you know, one of my biggest goal is this year's just to make everybody around me, but you're going out and doing what? Scoring 20 points or whatever is.
That's the hard part for me.
So I guess I want to make everybody better on, uh, you know, kind of be an extension of Coach.
Yeah, like, uh, like our group a lot.
So he said he wants to make everybody better be the extension of the coach.
Not only be the guy e.
I don't know if he really wants to be the guy that tells everybody what to do.
I don't You know, like you said, you know that that's really not him.
But you know it.
He wants to show and lead by example.
You know, if he's saying ok, this is what we do.
Then I'm gonna go out there and do it on the floor.
He's saying the right things.
You know, doing it is different.
Dealing with people's personalities is different.
I believe he's going to get the respect, though that's that's that's the first part.
Do you get the respect from the other players on the floor? If you get the respect and then you have it in you to actually be the leader and be a guy that speaks up and it doesn't have to be in a negative way doesn't have to be screaming and yelling and hollering and cursing people out.
But speaking up in the right way, then, uh, you know, he could help to have some success on his team because he's going to be no matter if he wants it or not.
He's going to be the leader, but I think he wants it, and I think he's preparing for this.
Ah, and I think, listen, this is the one thing I say with Julius Randle and why he just might be ready.
Unlike some other people that come into the league like Kevin Knox last year, you know, uh, let me see who else is coming into the league and automatically is gonna be.
People are gonna want them to be the leader of the team because people wanted Kevin knocks to be the leader of this team last year when he first came in and even though he wasn't ready for it.
You know, uh, whoever else, there's a lot of players that come into the league and they're expected.
You got to be the leader of this team, Zion Williamson.
People think, you know, expecting him to be the leader off the team skies, not ready to be a leader of men, right? Well, Julius Randle he had the He was fortunate.
He came into the league.
He came to a team that had Kobe Bryant.
He wasn't expected to be the leader.
He could sit back and learn without being the guy to take the fall.
I think that's really, really important for some of these guys.
He was with Kobe Bryant.
He didn't have to be the guy to take the fall.
Kobe Bryant was going to be the guy who took the fall.
You seem so he could learn from that.
Then he went to the pelicans, you know, he was expected to be maybe this number two guy there, but he didn't have to be the guy who took the fall right, so he had a grooming process.
Now he's on a team where, yes, he is the guy that's expected to take the fall.
But he got the watch some of these other guys and how they handle it and learn what to do and what not to do.
So maybe he went through a proper grooming process to be ready for this role.
You know what I'm saying? Uh, there's a lot of stars that come into the league and they're not ready.
They're placed in that role and they don't have a clue what to do Then.
Everybody wants to get owner for not being a leader, not being this not being that regardless of the fact that they're 1920 21 years old, you know, saying half of them still can't side a damn shoe laces and you expect him to be a leader of men.
I don't understand that from people, but anyway, you know, maybe Julius Randle has gone through the proper grooming process and he's right there ready, and I think that's one of the reasons that the Knicks looked at him and said, You know what? This guy is right there to not only take it to the next level physically and athletically, but mentally and in the leadership role with his leadership capabilities, you know? And, uh, you know, I really hope so.
But we may have struck gold.
Might have struck oil.
Maybe the Beverly Hillbillies with this one, Guillermo will come back to you. Go ahead, man.
What do you think? The ammo.
He's mad because I disagreed with him.
So I'm gonna come to city for real, then City Bill do it City, bro.
They'll do it just because everything is a money scheme.
Can you hear me? Yeah, I'm good.
We'll set up some.
So s so, um, talking about Julius Randle in his leadership role, whether or not he's ready.
You know, he went to the correct grooming process so that you know, he's ready to actually take that leadership role of the way that he was speaking.
What do you think? Do I think he can handle it? Um you think he's ready? You think he's ready? I'm Do I just want to say that I'm going to say I think he is ready, but do I think he can handle it? It's, um we gotta wait and see.
Like, you know, I'm saying, like I mean, the guy we already know what he did in the lowlands when, um, Anthony Davis went down like, you know, insane.
So we don't even need to speak about that.
So if he can bring that same intensity, tow us and step it up a notch, then yes, he's ready for insist the matter.
It's just a matter of seeing if it's gonna it's gonna it's gonna pan out, like, you know what I'm saying, because we know what the guy can do.
And we got a good mix of that's we got a good mix of young guys that, um you know, that air that awaiting their got away to put their bidding.
We got some guys that have waited, but they bid and on the table thio get their name known. Right.
And also we got, um, his other half.
I don't even want to talk about my guy right now.
We got Everybody already knows who I'm talking about.
Whatever you're paying what we know out there.
Your boy Alfred paying.
They spoke to L for painting a little bit, you know, and he said he didn't mind coming off the bench.
You know, he's going to do whatever you know he wants.
He wants to win.
He's going to do whatever is necessary for the team to win, So yeah, but we talking.
We were talking about Media Day, Sam, and we talked about, like, you know, saying all of these guys are going to say that, right? Cautions that they need to say, but when it gets down to coming down on the court is gonna be a different story.
This is why I said earlier that I don't want to see the whole, um keep what you kill thing.
You know what I'm saying? Because of practice, like, you know what I mean, because you can do whatever you want to do in practice, and you can know a guy's skill set in practice and just get there to his spots, quicken than him or whatever.
If we gonna if we're gonna analyze these guys and we're going to do the things that we need to do then analyze these guys on the court like, you know what I'm saying? Like you're going to keep what you can keep what you kill on the court.
Let's see what you do against other teams now in practice, not against the guys that you always play against.
You know, every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, like not I'm saying, Let's not do that.
Like keep what you kill against the Boston Celtics against the Raptors against whatever team that we played.
That's how we want to get.
I would keep what you kill.
Show me what you can do on the court against other guys that you not scrimmaging against all of the time.
That's what I want to see personally.
Okay, let's talk about Kevin.
Knocks to the bed.
Did you get a chance to Did you get a chance to actually see the video? See it? Yes, not gas Broke his shoulders, his shoulders looked brother his shoulders a little bit.
I can't even say they looked a lot bigger.
Like where? Like you know, the same way.
I feel like he can do some things when he did that shoulder and Yeah, man, I mean, he looks listen, and that's one thing that he was doing in summer league dipping that shoulder, knocking people back.
And he looks big, man, he looks a bit and that's what we was talking about before.
Yeah, and we were talking.
Um, I forget what scream it was, but we were We were talking about it when? When I was saying that how he was taking it, how he was taken into the rock, being more confident than being more like, like, serious with dipping that shoulder and and going in there.
So he said he only had £3 but I don't know.
I know, man, I don't know.
Said he only had £3.
He said he only picked Yeah, big.
I was like, Come on, man.
Look, big guys, if you didn't get a chance to see, make sure you get a chance to see it.
Kevin Knox look pretty big and he said that he Onley gained.
He's only, like, £3 heavier.
Then last year now he looked weighed more than £3 heavy.
I'm gonna bring a picture over shortly, and that's what he tried to say he tried to say it was muscle.
Well, I mean, some of it was muscle, but, like, you know, I mean, he he had to have he had have gained at least 10 man.
Hey, you know, maybe I'm just stepping it up a little bit.
I don't know, man.
I mean, you know what? The only thing I can say is this, you know, he's the one he has access to, you know, trainers and all that kind of stuff, you know? So he's got all those guys.
They're So I'm pretty sure you know, they, you know, they made you know, they measure him and all that kind of stuff and everything.
So I guess if he says he only gained, you know, if he says he's only £3 heavier, you know, they may be he is only £3 heavier.
But he's basically what he said.
It's his more defined.
Its muscles are more defined.
Uh, you know, stuff like that.
Hey, I'm gonna let you take a look right now. Ladies, wait.
If that was only £3 for my man knocks, that's the best looking £3 out.
Like I said earlier, you know, saying I must a little him for that.
That's the best £3 I have seen ever broke.
Well, that light, like I said on the stream earlier.
He probably did push ups before he went out there, right? You probably did 30 40 50 foot shows before he went out there.
I say you can look pumped, you know, May, uh, but right here, you could see guys.
You could see Kevin knocks.
He looks a little bit bigger.
Definitely looks bigger than the last season.
His shoulders look bigger.
Arms look bigger.
Uh, even got muscles coming out of his forehead.
You know? So, uh, you get you know he can't have blue for Rignot.
Lorna, I'm trying to tell you.
Halfway there, bro.
So, yeah, I'm looking forward to see if that size.
Now, here's the thing with Kevin Young's.
Here's the thing.
That ball for me once you will rip it twice.
I'm gonna tell you Broke right.
Tell you since I go happening, So yeah, I'll be the beefcake.
So you think Kevin knocks, though? He's got to be able to use that.
You can't just be big.
And I hate that place too, man.
You know, you can't just have, um, you know, have gained a little bit of weight a little bit of strength and did not use it.
You gotta be able to use it if you can't use it.
That is all for nothing.
So he's got to be able to use the strength that he's gained.
He's got to be able to use the strength that he's gay, and he's got to be able to use, um, excuse me.
He's got to be able to use that weight.
You know, tosses Wait around a little bit.
Hey said last year was to 15.
Now he's about to 18.
You mean now? He might, um, he might He might lose some of that weight.
You know, when the season starts and all that kind of stuff.
I see Ralph on Real said Knox looks fine, but I thought he was bigger the way I talk.
Well, you know what? The thing is this, you know I think the video, the image that I brought over maybe it wasn't in the highest definition when you actually seen it in HD.
It was He was a lot bigger.
He looked a lot bigger.
What is Definitely bigger, More cut up than he was last year.
So we're gonna see if he's able to use that during the game.
You know, I'm saying, see if you can use it during the game.
You know, they talked to R.
J Manning? Of course, man about stack.
Uh, you know, they talk to R.
Barrett. Of course, it's not much.
There wasn't much said R.
Barrett, uh, you know, one of the things that stood out for me what R.
J Baird is, he was axed about, uh, expectations and how to play under certain expectations.
And basically, he was just like nothing.
I'm just gonna go out there and play ball.
I'm just gonna go out there and play.
You think the guy's cool guys smooth.
J bet they didn't really get into depth. But with R.
Barrett, um, they asked him about Daniel Jones, and if you got a chance to meet Daniel Jones and all that kind of stuff.
Um, nothing really In debt to R. J.
Is there anything that stood out with you? City, Uh, with what players said anything that stood out with you For what? We're who said any players, anything that you heard that stood out.
Things that players, any of any place, any of the players.
The main thing that I like was Morrison.
It ain't gonna be like it was last year.
You know them, Sam.
And, um, I'm I'm with that because, you know, like he said, you know, we got some dogs on the scene.
Like, you know what I'm saying? So I'm hoping they bring the old school defense back.
Yeah, like, you know, saying, if you guys are whipped bringing the old school defense back, let's get it.
Like, you know what I mean? Like, because, um, that's what we've been missing for how many years? Yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
Have we been missing Defense? Yeah.
I feel, you know, feeling like you don't understand.
Like, and and and And I could tell you right now, you know, like I've been a Knicks fan ever since my dad was watching all the old school guys.
And I could tell you this right now.
When the next one, your dad could I get 50 cents going to game room right there.
You don't? Yeah.
Don't ask him for nothing, bro, cause you ain't getting it, like, you know what I'm saying? You know what I mean or whatever, whatever.
But otherwise, though, like I said, man like, this is the thing, man, like, if we got these guys that we got now and they can play the defense that we know that they can play, let's step it up.
Let's do some things less.
Some people like that's That's what it's about.
Let's surprise some people.
And when we do surprise some people, there's gonna be a lot of haters.
But guess what? I'm a Knick fan, so I'm gonna be a video I want as you man.
Anything, anything that the players said anything that stood out with your phone? No.
Things that a certain place at any player, anything that stood out.
Yeah, I, uh I liked all of them.
I like the dentist mature near little jab it of bourbon.
That was, uh uh, Yeah, um, yeah, I like I've always liked, you know, ever since we drafted our jail.
I love his demeanor.
Like he just seems like the type of guy where I could just, like, let him answer every single question post game, right? You're not gonna duck any question he'll answer.
It will give you a good answer or something.
You know, I'm gonna have a conversation, but I always like r j r.
You got some sort of like a personality.
You got the right demeanor, just like, you know, answer all these questions.
Um, I mean, I heard Alfred paid.
I did, actually.
I never listened, Adele for payment for interview before, So e heard talk.
So, you know, he seems like a pretty ah.
Ah, pretty nice kid. I don't know.
I mean, this he's from these are from New Orleans and stuff, so, you know, I don't know.
You know, maybe I don't know anything about any of this will really feel like a shock for him, you know, going forward.
But, uh, yeah, I'm more curious, You know, right now, obviously, everybody says, you know, you know, I don't care where I play.
I just wanna win games.
So we'll take that for what it is.
But and, you know, one of the things that I was talking about earlier is how what this team there's, You know, there's this connection is this little connections here? And there were players, you know, saying we know about our Jane.
Iggy, you got Mitchell Robinson and Elfrid Payton from the same area.
Yeah, I put it in Jewish rental.
Um, no, no, I mean, but, uh, Mitchell Robinson elephant Both.
They're from New Orleans prayer.
Right, You know.
So they're from the same area.
They probably heard about each other.
Said he heard about Mitchell Robertson.
So there's a connection there because they could talk about some things that Onley those guys are gonna understand and know because they're from the same region is from the same area.
Um, you got I think Bobby Portis Todd skips and played together, right? Yeah.
Bob reporters and Gibson, Randall and Peyton Peyton play together.
You got knocks in R J.
Know each other already, You know, from just coming out which a lot of guys do.
But they seem to be no guys that had gotten a little close.
Uh, he's worth checking, but maybe, like, maybe dots and paying.
And, uh, um, Randall may have played against each other in high school.
Especially because dots and it's from the Houston area.
You know, Houston in New Orleans is close, you know me.
So, yeah, you got everybody was currently on the team, right? So, you know, right there, you got guys who were currently on the team.
So there's some connection between guys that can really help with this chemistry.
You know, that can really help with chemistry, part of of everything, because there's just a small connections of guys who have been around each other before.
Played with each other before, you know, in those type of things which hopefully will help and to grow the chemistry, improve the chemistry thing.
He played with Randall used with Randall when he got hurt that, like, first year, his rookie season.
Okay, Randall, play the game or whatever, but I like I, like Morris is Ah, uh, he had a couple nights quotes in there.
Um, but I mean, used his mane like his main theme.
I guess it just like the past is the past.
You know, the future is like, we know this is now, right.
So, you know, whatever happened in Boston, whatever happened, you know, the Spurs or whatever, you know, that that's done with.
So, you know, hey, was mortuary? What do we do now? So Oh, yeah, I like there would.
I think, You know, they're They're all pretty solid interviews, And I know people are so widen X y Z players speak.
But that's just because the nature of media day, they're not Everybody can speak so that everybody could speak right? Yeah.
Uh, so it's matter, fact talking about Morris.
You know, I'm gonna take a minute, and I'm gonna play just a little bit of Morris's press conferences.
Some of the things that you said, especially with, you know, the accident, why he likes this team.
And he said, uh, you know, because we got we got a lot of dogs on this team and somebody actually had the nerve to ask.
Um, you know how do you define dogs? I mean, anyway, here we go.
A lot of guys that are gonna go out and try to prove itself.
My young guys is willing to get better on its within a listen.
Oh, and on the biggest thing is, I think, you know, from last year the guys are still here.
Had a chip on his shoulder from, you know, anyone in 17 games and, you know, coming to try to get better.
And, uh, no, I think things will be a good year there.
Marvis Ice Bath.
You? He told me the first time you got ice bags.
A coat? Uh, yeah.
I mean 21 toe. I spent 26.
Don't do it after that.
You use it? Uh, me personally are you did a lot not try to recover the big thing in the league, but, you know, they don't cry.
Now, Norma Texas doesn't you know, ice and the heat's off a lot of new technology shit going on.
I want to stop you right there, because that right there, that right there gives you just lets you know who Mark is.
The guy acts dough about and I know that was a little bit low.
I apologize, but the guy asks them about I stops, know that good stuff.
You know, the iced up do was there asking about I stops mug s'mores, goes in and talks about crowd therapy.
And he's like, you know, you know, we're doing cryotherapy and all this new technology is shit.
It just It is just, you know, let's I mean, I know it is not that bad of a curse word, but still, you know, immediate date And it, uh, it just lets it out there and blue cheese bite like it's nothing. And guess what.
Now one person is going to say anything to Mom.
Not one person's gonna say anything to that.
Just lets you know who markets Morris is.
Ladies and gentlemen, you know, saying and he is the guy he's going to be the Rasheed Wallace of this team For the time that he's here.
You're kind of like the Knicks had in 12 4013.
He's going to be the guy nobody gonna cuff.
Well, Marcus Morris, nobody.
Maybe not even Fizdale Fizdale might have to go call.
Keep smart to deal with Marcus Morris if it gets down to it, you know, saying, but it's a luxury to have is definitely is definitely a big luxury to have, you know.
So, you know, I like some of the things that you know that he had to say.
And of course, I I thought I had a cute upto a different point, but anyway, um, you know, he said, there's a lot of dogs on a team, and things are not going to be the same.
So, you know, I respect Marcus Morris for that.
I mean, I was respected for what you think if he's gonna be the receipt Wallace of this team? Uh, yeah.
Although, like, not like, not like the stage version of, like, you know, not like the not the 38 year old receded.
Also lost, though.
So you wanna be careful, right? You know, we get 30 year old receiving a shoe.
You know, that was that was actually a beast. But up.
You know, we just want to be careful, right? Because you know, who wanted to be like the Phoenix Suns versions of himself, right where he is very volatile.
I don't think it'll happen, though.
I think he'll be a stabilizing force, I think.
And I think he'll help The team helped the team from a performance standpoint, So, yeah.
Um I don't know if you were also the right one.
I know what I just can't think of another person, but I think I could live with that for now. Yeah.
Compare someone's let me get to a phone call. It should be.
You know, the first phone call I've been able to answer all night, and then I want to get to Guillermo, cause I think Emma was mad at me for calling them out about Kobe.
So my mom gets a GMO, Those hands in the air and everything, uh, call the young live another.
But Nick's was popping.
I don't know what was going on with you, brother.
How you feeling? Are you doing How you doing? This is having my how you've been so savvy was going your own boy.
How you feeling, man? I'm feeling that.
I'm sure you know So just right that I call in real quick.
You know, s So did you get it? Did you get a chance to watch media Day today and what you take, man, anything that anybody said that stands out to you? Absolutely, absolutely, man, I just want to say I completely agree with what you said about what Chris Morris I love with the said today.
I love his attitude.
I want that attitude to permeate the team, and I hope that in the year that he's with us, you know, tentatively, they're his influence really rubs off.
You know, there was one thing in particular, actually, there was a question somebody asked right after that question, he said, Um, do you have to be born a dog or can you become one? And first said You have to be born one.
But then he thought about it and said nowhere.
You know what? I take that back.
You could become one if you hang around dogs because robot Jazz said that I'm like I'm like, That's frank like the like like I'm looking for So that be frank right there, like guys like that who need their aggression to be amped up.
You know what I mean? I'm I'm looking for that Instruments can play its role going forward.
And, um Yeah, man, that's the type of thing that you need.
You know, what I'm saying is if these guys can start to model themselves after someone like Marcus Morris, you know, mean, hopefully Julius Randle brings that same type of thing.
And you know this Julius Randle.
When he sat down, he was, like, me and this guy right here, you know? Said we're gonna lead this team.
We're not gonna let that illiterate in it out.
Those two have been a nobody on the team at all, you know? Yeah.
And you see Kevin, Kevin Martin got got bigger in the gym, you know, he said the thing about the £3 I don't know if that was, you know, he's probably just trying to make it seem like he's not getting fat, you know? He's probably worried about that perception, but, you know, I love like he put on some muscle, so look clean, you know? So So I'm like, I'm ready to see this this defensive on.
So this is aggressive pace and and the meaner and I'm one of their identity.
They really take hold.
I just enjoyed everything that was said.
Sound like he was just very the plank.
I can't wait to see him.
Bobby for this same thing by Bobby just seems like he's good to go.
He you mentioned he wanted play at the fire.
So? So I'm like you.
Listen, then let's you and I want to play that clip.
I want to play that clip.
You're not gonna You're probably not gonna be a bit here, but I just want to play the clips.
Everybody, uh, Marcus Moore is talking about, you know, being a dull and with the reporter asking him about being a dog.
Here we go, ladies and gentlemen, and I know it's kind of low.
I know it's kind of low, but here you go.
Make sure you said there's a lot of dog time.
This thing does.
What is it? Definition of a door guy who, uh, never seen me play.
That's my definition.
You go. God is not going back down.
You know, uh, guys is gonna go out there and compete every night, and I could tell you this first and foremost, you know, it's not gonna be like last year, and there you go right there.
He said, It's not gonna be like last year.
You mean he said, There's a lot of dogs on this team is not gonna be, like, last.
You said I could tell you right now.
It's not gonna be like last year, you know, saying so.
You know, he's coming in with with the intent.
And you know what? I'm gonna bring this over to everybody.
Just so in case people haven't seen in case people haven't been able t c Mediate, they get I'm gonna bring this over just so you can see Marcus Moore is grilling on whoever is asking him the question.
You know me because that's what that's just what this dude does.
I mean, just just take a look at him, you know? I'm saying, Yeah, that's just him, you know, May do not cuffing what markets more.
She's just really know why I was asking the question.
He's quitting, You know, I looked at him like you don't you know, he's just grilling on whoever it is, asking the question.
Um, I wantto know this guy's been doing that up.
The star that into into Rome.
Sorry, but I I wanted to bring that up about last year.
And, uh, and by the way, about that question, this guy didn't even like that question.
The way he looked at them was running.
And I was like he was just talking to, like, be polite and give him a Nancy. He's looking.
He even got an answer to that question.
Just who in the guy's face and how you react to it? What? When, when he's talking about last year, right? Last year we were playing, we were doing the tin job.
Can you think about how many games we lost, that we're close game that could easily have been won if not for like Vito, six points? You know, like I felt like we lost quite a few knows where.
It was like man.
Things were going fine until this happened, until something else happened and everything just fell apart.
So now that we have this new sense of talk nous this new grid on the team, I want to see they reflected in that win total, you know, because I feel like there's at least like six or seven games and ended that way, you know, in, like, a small single digit wins e mean losses that could just as easily have been taken.
So I'm looking for Ah, a major impact.
And I only the wind with the identity of the team as well.
So, you know, the media day was informative.
I enjoyed watching it, you know, And I appreciate your technical.
I appreciate your abs, Abby.
Um, looking forward to getting you back in the video chat, bro.
The short short, you know, than me, I'll be I'll be up.
Ah, certain nights in here and then, you know, I'm working and things at different times now, but but I'll be in touch always.
What? Well, I no doubt my and, you know, just one last thing for markets.
More states and gentlemen.
You know, when he was ext.
I'm pretty sure you guys will enjoy.
You know, some of this here when he was ext, you know, is it is being a dog just in you.
Okay, you develop adult Margo's Morse, Our daughter was born.
Where can they be raised? Okay, Born adult gotta be in. You gotta be.
So did you feel that the guy's only once every games.
That typical sound, most definitely.
I mean, I take that back, you be around, a bunch of dogs rub off, and that's exactly what we want.
Folks, we wanted to rub off on these kids.
And then then we take it and internalize it and, you know, and there we go.
So I'm a gets a GMO right km on coming to you, but nice begging and pleading till I take it easy on him.
You see him? Gamma? What's up, man? Yeah.
Oh, ho notarize.
Oh, hey, what's up? Said I'm sorry about that.
Yeah, no idea what happened to my intern? So So you were talking.
I see you shaking your head and all this stuff about Kobe.
Not a Kobe fans.
First of all, it was all in jest.
That's all in just because a catfish allows us a Rando for my stupid incident.
Okay? Yeah, I was just going to say and I'll get to the Kobe things.
I know you people gonna kill me.
So Ridge is Randall, I'll say is right.
I saw you saw a lot of games with the Lakers that last year.
You said the team galvanize around him.
It just sucks that Yes, um, D'Angelo's was an idiot and kind of ruined.
The progress that team could have is I feel like that the Randall that we saw the Rosa.
We saw that Nets could have been what we could have sold the Lakers.
But Jews rental got guys to play around him got guys have fun around and they got 37 wins, I think 37 38 wins in the West.
So just one other thing to me and and last year, I think when things kind of fell apart, uh, 80 getting hurt and then drew holiday being hurt here and there.
There's no constant like strong continuity with the lineups.
And it was a lot of things going on it, you know, it kind of hurt him to have s ability.
So I do say juice, render this have leadership chops.
I think one thing that lives, that is that a big man who passes and has a perspective to get the ball to the open guy is like its rear.
Yeah, I guess we have Kawai letter.
We have very re allowed a big guy, especially to play his old school type of game.
They look to score and like, that's all they know.
Like we have barley.
Last year, you could never tell Von Lehto have that type of facilitate facilitate facilitating game that Randall had.
When you're making the hockey assist, you know you're looking for the open man, you're pushing the ball.
You're being selfless.
Also times where he was high and he literally give it to a D.
Who was in the post cause a D was having a little street, things like that.
The only thing I would say with juice Randall was that And correct me if I'm wrong, I don't I don't know.
I'm not saying this as a definite statement, you know, bit.
When was the last time you saw a top leader in the N B? A.
That didn't have defensive chops, and I'm not.
I'm not saying that it doesn't exist.
I just I was trying to think really quickly now, and I can't really think of a true bonafide top Peter.
And then before we could say, Oh, yeah, Here's of defense job like people say LeBron James, I'm not really on LeBron James Ah, train like that.
But even when LeBron James is up up there with defense, you know the way way was seen as a leader.
So the meter's running has also sell out on defense, and it fizzles trying to lead this team off of defense had as identity juicer and has to take the man to if he's saying that Manti was diving for balls, replaying all out defense.
Hey, one night he scores maybe 15 points, but he's not really trying to look to score base, trying to set the tempo on defense.
Get the ball to the two guys and transitions.
Once I get this, steals one to get the blocks, you know things that nature, then yes, I would say that is, he's a bonafide leader, but he has to be.
He has to be better on defense, like he just it just either.
That's has to come so on a Kobe Bryant thing, I'm not trying to Kobe Look, Kobe Bryant, to me, is one of the best MBA talents.
His work ethic is Dr is that occasion to game.
I think it's better than is when you talk about the top guys.
You talk about the Jordans, you talk about Ronaldo's.
You talk about the top athletes in all of sports, never taken away from him when the best shooting guards of all time, when the best players of all time forget, even sure guys to me. Kobe.
Yes, you can lead by example. I get it.
That's one thing.
But Kobe was a He's Machiavellian Kobe when he didn't have talent around him.
Like I looked at, the Dwayne Wade went away.
We had those years. We didn't have town around him.
He was still like, Yeah, he forgot.
What would they have? 63 Wings.
I'd be wrong, but there was a time of day, I think, had Lamar Odom or whatever.
And they got to the players and they should have gone like they.
Dwayne Wade carried that team on his back.
Kobe Bryant, as talented as he is when he didn't have town around him, he did not have the perspective to say, Hey, these guys are probably not at the love they should be, and they don't take a negative reinforcement the same way I do, which I agree.
I'm a nigari perforce mint got like in a sense of what Kobe seems like.
If someone says to Kobe, you can do it, he's going to go out and try to prove that you can But he did not take into account that not everybody follows that same mantra, that scene direction.
And he was just all about me.
He was screwing, Just keep score.
Memory like Aftershock left users all about arms.
Gonna try to score, score and try to, you know, break records, blah, blah to me, Kobe Bryant.
As great as he is, I don't think that he's He's a great player, great talent.
I just don't think that he led his team like he has ability to do so, but I just didn't see.
I don't put him up there as one of top leaders, but don't kill me.
I love watching Kobe.
These were my favorite plays, a watch.
But in terms of leaders like that, no, I don't I don't see it, man.
I think I think Kobe was a leader.
Oh, and by example, you're gonna say by example I think he led by example.
You know, listen, everyone has a different leadership style.
Some people's leadership style will work.
Some people's leadership style will not work.
Okay, okay. Sorry. Seven.
Let me correct it.
Then let me correct the real quick, because that's a great point. Board up.
Lead by example is very can be very effective.
What I'm saying is that Kobe was not an effective leader because take out the years when he had all that talent and he didn't, I guess. Phil Jackson.
What happened? Take it all those years that you have the tower.
Who was he galvanizing around him that took to exit his example? Who is he getting guys like? There's certain guys that they know how to chameleon eyes.
That's not a word.
But chameleon eyes themselves into every situation where new guys coming, Bob Lock.
But they get everybody to play under them.
Like I personally think that leader is curry and I don't pay my kill me.
But Curry is a type of guy that as talented as he is, he can get guys to play around him and like playing around him.
I know the whole Katie thing about blah, but Katie want to go there because of curry and that system and what they were doing.
And Curry is the type of guy that he's never going to try to be above anybody, like he doesn't seem to try to be above it, but doesn't take crazy shots. Baba.
But it's never selfish, is never out of the system or what they're trying to do, all right, you always push up his place.
That's got people on it, right, but doesn't have to.
Does the leader always? I mean, how do you know there's a leader Always have to be that way because I've had different people in my life who I considered leaders and some were not compassionate at all somewhere just the kind of person that I fear them, you're saying So I was going to do and I was gonna be all my P's and Q's in our point because I feel that person.
Then there were other people who could relate to the more compassionate I related to the more compassionate side of them, and they were leader because I could sit and talk with that person.
We could have conversations together, you know, you know, do different.
You know, different things that way.
I think they're different types of leaders.
I don't think the Lakers win championships with Kobe without have been a leader? No, but that's what I just said.
You can be a leader in clean be lead, I said, Being effective leader, Yes.
If you use negative reinforcement with people who respond well to negative reinforcement, you're an effective leader.
Well, now, if you use that reinforces people don't respond.
What a *** Reinforcement.
And you can't lead them to whatever battles or to win a war.
Thank you are not an effective leader.
You can have all the leadership skills.
I agree. That's true.
But I think I mean, obviously his teams must have been, you know, not all of them, not all of them.
But maybe he just didn't have the talent either.
I think that Kobe was, you know, you know, it was a leader and I think that Julius Randle I without a doubt, I believe that Julius Randle learned some things from Kobe.
I'm pretty sure he learned some things that he can't do and learn some things that I shouldn't do.
I don't know. I don't refute that.
I remember that year that he lost all that weight, e I think that I think that he took that from And I would say today I saw him today and I re spoke about this or another stream.
And he did looks, he looked, he looked thinner, which I think is gonna be very importantly, has been a strong cut.
Yeah, I liked it, man, but he has to keep just keep the way down because he plays better.
Like when you see Jews around a look at the clips last year.
The pelicans, I think he was heavier.
Somebody I think I said somebody said that he I think he played the same way that last year.
The Lakers, they didn't look it like like that.
And he was huffing and puffing at times.
I think that if he goes back to If you lose, just Stace dinner and lose that weight.
Ah, he could be extremely.
He could be dangerous.
Man, that boy let me out of my mouth.
Open up because you know I have them up.
And if I if I criticize him, then I'm ah, juice Randall hater.
Just like pregnant Latina.
So you know, God bless juice, Randall, You know he's Jesus Christ.
I take everything so personal, man.
I'm I'm just saying you can't be a Knick Fans.
You can't be objective.
Like I take it first.
But you do know you do know.
You do know that the more you get.
You told little you little shots and stuff like that.
People stuff like that, the more they're gonna come action because they think it's entertainment.
I'm off for a smoke, man.
Like I I love talking ish with these guys.
Minute is all is all for the smoke.
You see King and G's kill me right now talking about all these Kobe people, But again for the chat, Remember, King and G does not cannot talk for a few months after saying that Katie and Kyrie were going to the Knicks on pretend he has no credibility, that is, Please, guys in a chapter mine King N g.
He got that hole and his tooth that whole thing wrong, so please kill him.
Unless you two ladies gentlemen made I'm glad you guys jumped back on with me tonight.
I'm probably I'm gonna be I don't know exactly what time, but I'm gonna jump on sometime tomorrow.
After I collect some information about, you know, the first, the first practice, and we'll talk about the first practice.
It would be sometime, maybe about two o'clock.
Something like that.
But you'll get the notification when it comes out.
You know me. But I'm gonna give everybody a chance.
Go around to give everybody a chance to do it.
You know, the little last word out there.
You want those last words out? Their gamble? Yeah.
And this this was fun man again.
You know, I understand.
With the was famous for the ah media days for I just personally meant I'm just tired of the years of hearing this stuff, man.
I just I just want to play and win, man.
You know, I mean, like, you know, maybe we heard it for 20 years, you know, always excited for this.
Recite, and I'm not against it. Morale.
I'm just ready for the games and and seeing these guys on the court, you know, my left one last thing, One last thing.
What was up with the corny backdrop in Just chairs for media day? Like you tell me, Sim.
So I thought I thought the Knicks over the most viable franchise, the MBA at five million, right? Billions? Yeah. Yeah.
So you know what they say, right? Rich people say their money rich people shop at the thrift store saying which people wear all the shoes with the holes in our genes were all cut up.
They were all old stuff, you know, buy anything new.
I guess that's what the Knicks doing.
I mean, hey, hey, Sim.
Hey, put like this.
Dolan has done that in the past, and we made some terrible decisions and free agency and whatnot, right? If he's truly changing up, if it's a flip side where he's cheap on Media Day, but the Knicks start winning Hey, I'll take cheap chairs.
I think I don't care.
These do sit on cinder blocks if we win.
I don't care what we spent on Media Day, man.
So I'm hoping that a change by the gods please, man.
And, you know, maybe, you know, Mark said earlier today is like the next don't you know? Look what they did last year.
They don't deserve toe have any big podium in this net.
But they could've did better than just a back drop in a couple of chairs.
They didn't have a desk in front of whom, you know, saying I mean, come on, you do better than that.
You could do something.
Uh, a walmart fold out table and tablecloth on it.
You could get a tablecloth from family dollar for $1.
It was intended to yours tablecloth with a $35 fold out table.
You know, saying I mean something.
And they had to hold the mic to man.
That was I was trying to sit and just kind of like like, put theirs.
I, uh, like no one likes a standup comedians.
You wonder why dami dies.
And, frankly, Lucquin Alonso chair Mitchell Robson.
No wonder why they didn't come out and talk.
I was like, I think that man friend was like, I was out in feeble, and they treated me better than friends and be better than this.
Uh, it was like he was on the summer league squad and they treated me in this.
Come on, you don't need free talking about France of my Lord.
It could have did a little bit better than that it is better I give you that.
It's not like that.
I mean, they got a whole Madison Square Garden.
I know they were up at the Westchester facility, but I mean, come on, the guy.
But somebody Riser said that the leak is the I gotta watch the leakers.
I was because Rise said that they went all out for the Lakers.
But of course they did.
I obviously they did that, you know, you got Yeah, and you know, what do you think Dolan did that? Cause he's mad that, like his front office, convinced him not to go after Katie and Carrie.
I don't know, man.
But it could've did better than that.
Something they could.
I dont disagreement here.
They're better than that.
I mean, I'm gonna get up out of here.
So you bro. Hi. Peace.
Let rise over that.
You get Head man gets the last words in on our last words.
I just wanted to go back to that question that you mentioned About what? Something that a player said.
I want to pick a banker.
What city? And you sort of are? Morris Morris was very outspoken about Mr Robinson.
And I like the fact that he did that like he was talking about last year.
He saw how much of a dog he wants, How much you know it will be in every pre.
I also remember that.
I don't know if it was Morris or the his brother.
He also had an altercation in one again.
When Mitchell there's Mark.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that brings me back.
And I'm feeling like he has an agenda looking at the team.
And I love I love that about Morris.
I don't We look at Iran, too, as the leadership, but also more is that hem seeing us and then decided to go from whispers to us, has a lot of value.
People have not been talking about it because not popular song about the next.
But overall, me, that was good.
Either way, you know, I don't like that we have the last three players, like I said earlier, but like you said, you know, like Mark said, we don't need a podium right now.
You're in a sense, they intrude like I wanted the whole show, but it was mostly for everybody else.
um, our team is going.
It's looking good, and I'm very confident about it.
That's what I have to say. Okay.
I appreciate you, man. And look, you might be true name.
Maybe they don't deserve the hat.
Maybe they didn't deserve that hat.
You know, a whole big no.
What? Not you know, who knows? Or they just did it wherever they could do it.
I don't know if you want to take us out of nine guys A at the world's Who comes in late, of course, but, uh, yeah, Um, yeah.
So about the about the digs, Like, why? Why was it so crummy home from what I heard is ah, love scooping around.
Ah, they're doing renovations at the training facility.
And for some strange reason, they didn't finish everything this week her by by today.
So they had to, like, have this crummy.
Uh, I set up, I guess.
But that's all I found.
I don't know how big this product is there.
Nothing's really been mentioned.
But, you know, if I was probably search somewhere, probably find it, but yeah, that's what happened.
They're doing a renovation to it.
I get that listened.
You already have a backdrop.
All that need It was a nice Yeah.
And you could get a microphone stand for 20 bucks to microphone stands for 20 bucks in a table, but for 34 35 bucks, you know, saying in a tablecloth, I I mean, I know they can split Is $400.
They can Listen, I've been in so many corporate things.
I'm not Why? I asked myself sometimes, man, you make a ton of money while you were you in this type of office space or why do you? Why do you have this sort of crummy like little thing where it's like, Come on, like this cost you 10 bucks? I don't get it.
It makes actually knows that that I completely screwed me.
But that's all I know is that they're doing renovations there.
Yeah, I explained.
Doesn't doesn't excuse it for anything, but yeah, that's what.
Well, you know what? If he's gonna make him if it makes him earn it, it is what it is.
Yeah, it is. Whatever.
I mean, people forget about it, like three days.
Yeah, last thing is that, you know, I hope people just don't overreact to the next two or three weeks.
There's only training can pre season, you know. Right.
So I hope the reading.
I hope the reactions are not like too crazy.
I mean, I expect they will be, but I'm just saying, really appreciate it were only.
But you haven't even stepped foot in training camp just yet.
Right? Well, uh, tomorrow we stepped foot in it Tomorrow.
Practice tomorrow, either.
Ready to go, man. All right, lift.
All right, take care. Have a good evening, man.
