What's going on, guys? Anthony here again with another live stream, uh, just just wanted to get into a couple of things today that's going on.
Originally, this is gonna be a life dream completely dedicated to basketball.
But then I thought I would touch on the recent new on Montez Perfect.
I talked about it a little bit yesterday in my life, straight when I was reviewing some of the games early on with the Emma when I was talking about the Raiders and the Colts and some more news came out today.
So I think that touch on that the end of this life thing.
But first, I do want to get to some basketball because the MBA is back.
Just some preseason game tonight, it will be one preseason game.
It's pretty much like an annual game between the Houston Rockets and the Shanghai Sharks of China.
Ah, super excited super pump, big NFL fan.
But I might be even a bigger MBA fan at this point in my life.
I don't know why it just continues to grow on me each year.
It could be the fact that it could be, I finally have a favorite player to follow, uh, and James Harden, who I've liked for always I've liked since the O.
It could be the fact that I started by an MBA to K at some point, maybe during 14 or 15 and that help me follow him.
Or it could just be the fact that during my college years, that's something that roommates and I really dedicated our time, too.
And night after work, after some classes, I just sat down.
It was it was a joy to watch.
And it continues to get better each year as teams continue thio, bringing some star power and kind of manufactured that teams around.
But with this MBA season, it might be the most exciting, because we don't have one team who we think is gonna win the championship, because I have multiple M v P s on their team.
Uh, I eat Golden State Warriors who had Steph Curry and then they had Kevin Durant.
Come on to them.
We kind of felt like they were the favorite to win every year.
This year, I feel like the NBA's really wide open and everyone has a chance, and for me personally, I really do think that this is the Rockets year.
I feel like they've had.
They went through a lot of trials and Ares with the change in the past, They've always had the Golden State Warriors in their way, especially over the past few years.
I think four out of the past five years, I've been knocked out by the Warriors one year being the San Antonio Spurs.
And they've added Russell Westbrook, who's the guy everyone wanted to see the night he won't play.
The Knight had a knee surgery in the off season, and I think they're being being cautious with him.
So he's not gonna play the night, unfortunately to everybody probably wanted to see.
But no matter, we'll see a little bit of James Harden.
We will see a little bit of the rest of the team with airborne quick paella, maybe some new additions.
I'm kind of this is kind of weird one, but I'm kind of excited to see Anthony Bennett, who was a former number one pick.
Obviously, a lot of people have considered him a bust already but played really well less last year in the D League, really improved his shot making and a three point shooting.
And everybody knows that the Houston Rockets are big time three point shooters.
So I did him on a on a team friendly deal.
It also works out for him because he's got a chance to get back in the MBA, improved himself and make a name for himself.
And so, hopefully Anthony Bennett works out, Maybe he lives up to that number one potential and some capacity.
Uh, that's all we're kind of asking for, added Taba Sefolosha over the offseason.
I don't know how much he'll play mayonnaise out.
He's just obviously been a staple to the Rockets for a while Now we add it.
Ah, well, C P J. Tucker Again.
You know, there's a lot of news about Capella Tucker or Gordon being traded in the off season.
Luckily, we didn't try any of them.
We we got rid of CP three.
Let me just make that make a statement here aboutthe Rockets.
I'm a big game started fan.
He's he's my favorite player in the league.
I know he gets a lot of criticism on his game and what he does, but I'm a huge fan.
I'm a huge fan of how just innovative his creativity and what he brings to the game.
I think it's a little underappreciated, but no matter.
I continue to stick with them, uh, through everything.
I try to follow him through everything.
So regardless of what team is on, that is gonna be the team I follow.
It's not necessarily that I am a Houston Rockets fan when he was with O. K. C.
So I'm just gonna follow him, Likely that it's gonna be that I will be a Houston Rockets fan for the rest of his career because I think that's where he's gonna ultimately finish his career later down the road.
But I just wanted to make a point in there, back to the Rockets.
They're gonna be playing the Shanghai Sharks.
So I said, That's kind of an annual game.
They play pretty much e each year.
Uh, last year we saw jibber for dead.
Be part of that team.
This year, we're gonna get to see you know, the radio Shanghai Sharks.
We're also gonna see Luis Scola play this year.
He was awesome during the feet of World Cup led Argentina to the finals and that so should be fun to see.
Obviously, it's probably gonna be a huge blowout.
Uh, we had a Tyson Chandler over the offseason.
I added, Ah, been Lapham, or we'll see if he could make the team you just recently brought back.
On a on a team family deal, he came full circle after his big Billy son.
So weird to think that him and a report inside the same time obviously his signing didn't work out in our favor.
Mostly because from a defensive standpoint, But we brought it back on the team friendly deal after Rusty's last week last year, and I think he could be a decent contributor, obviously.
Shooting, shooting Bob, Um, maybe coming off more as like a sparkle about the bitch rather than being a starter US pain and started money.
So super said NBA's back just preseason games.
But like I said, I've talked about a couple times in ancient India will have gained in China, but then just fine.
The guys aren't funny theme.
And were you also against Japan? We as as if I'm part of the MBA.
They'll have game to Japan and India and China, and it's going to be a lot of fun to watch.
Obviously, everyone's excited for multiple teams this year.
A Lakers are probably the biggest ones that people were excited for but tons of fun teams to follow this year with what everybody did in the off season.
I'm excited to see.
You know, I'm still excited to like the Warriors with the low and stuff and see how they they measure, how they play together.
Uh, I think the West will obviously obviously be the most competitive once again this year. We'll see.
Maybe when Kevin Durant comes back next year, the East gets a little bit more excited, but it'll be fun to watch the six years as well see what they can do.
Um, with the addition of Al Horford and Joshua, Understand? Let's see what I'm excited.
See their defensive potential.
The Boston Celtics as well will be one to see what they bounced back with the additions.
Kemba Walker, pretty much just replacing Walker with, are replacing Kyrie Irving with Kemba Walker.
We're here in Atlanta.
So I'm super excited to see the Atlanta Hawks and how they prove well, I feel like like down the stretch, they looked really good.
So I'm super excited to see how the Hawks Young core, continues to get better.
They added some the defensive potential and DeAndre Hunter, and, you know, they had a camera reddish.
So we'll see what we'll see what they do this season.
I mean, they're gonna take a huge step up.
I think they're Parada, not perennial potential playoff team this season with just the way that tray on play, an incredible rookie season and then John Collins coming on.
John Collins looks like he could be a potential All Star if he if he plays the way he did consistently all year down the stretch.
I'm super excited.
Just wanted Thio.
State diva is back.
I know everyone super in the football season, but I know there are the the basketball heads out there that I've been waiting for the MBA and his back and so in some capacity tonight with the preseason, the first preseason game of the year.
So I know it's something that may be a few people would just kind of tune in for the very beginning.
But nonetheless, this is the star of a great NBA season that's coming up.
Let's move on to some more.
Who's news? Just talking about the W N B A Finals.
The second game of the series will be tomorrow night on ESPN.
Washington Mystics took Game one against the Connecticut Suns 96 to 85.
I believe 95 to 86.
I got those numbers except, um, obviously a great game for the Mystics.
They got to a good one of those.
Start after having incredible regular season.
They are obviously headed by Elena Della Donne, whose the W N b a N v p.
But we really had a big green.
He's really impressed me since I've started washing a little bit of the wn BA was our Eo AC into was an incredible rookie season.
She's a great two way player, but just look right offensively.
Only miss one shot in that game.
I think she's a huge difference maker for them.
Uh, they if they want to win the championship this season, Uh, just looking at game, too, you know, I don't think, you know, the Mystics are really good.
Team their staff.
I got Della Donne.
Obviously, that said, I mentioned Atkins, but they also have, you know, players like Kristi Toliver, who's a coach in the in the n b A deer during the WN BA off season, they got Natasha Cloud.
He might be one of the best point guards in the league, and they have great players off the bench.
Obviously, I think the biggest one during at least the postseason.
I spent a Ms Suman who had 11 points in that in that first game.
So it's gonna be tough, tough to stop them.
They obviously only had eight losses all season or were the best team pretty much all year.
But Connecticut's got a really good team, too, right? So the Sun Sun have vastly improved from last year.
They were a playoff team last year, but now they make the finals.
Um, you know, the W N B A.
There was a lot of star power out this year, just with injuries and play.
Some players taken off because of the long grind that W N B A players have to go through just just to keep up because they're not nearly paid enough throughout their w w N b a season.
And not so, uh, anyways, the so Connecticut's really good.
You know, their best players, probably John Paul Jones, who only got eight shots in this game.
She finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
But I feel like for Connecticut they really need to get to the bomb or she needs to get more scoring opportunities.
I feel like eight shots isn't enough for her.
Uh, Courtney Williams finished with 26 point for them on nine of 19.
Justin Thomas finished with seven, but shop football 14 times.
You know Strickland 11 times, Thomas 10 times everybody in the starting lineup.
And so I just feel like Jean Claude Jones is a double double machine.
Uh, you know, write two way player as well, but she's great offensively.
Not, you know, people.
I don't think she had a blocking it, so she had one block missile, but she's also great offensively to 58 shooting, one of two from behind the line and 12 points.
It is good, but I feel like she just needs to have Maur attempts for the son to get back into this one and type of Siri's tomorrow.
They're playing at Washington again.
So obviously you wanna win win on the road before you return to Connecticut.
Uh, it's hard to stop Washington, especially their pick and pop game.
It's it's really impressive just watching some of the highlights again from that before coming on here.
I mean, they just seem like they have so many different directions that can go when they're setting the screen.
And while most you know, most teams obviously run the pick and roll like their pick and pop game is really, well, works really well because of the type of shooters they have and, uh, with their big band, which you obviously della Donne being in that category.
So I still think Washington's gonna win game, too.
But I think that the Sun this is just from my perspective.
I think of the sun when a tie this one up John quote.
Jones needs more shot attempts.
Corny Williams, Obviously great.
She had a great game, and, uh, but you know, that's on our team that, like the passable a lot, it's understandable.
They distributed so many points out, this game was pretty close, Pretty much till may be the final three minutes or so in Connecticut or when Washington started to run away with it.
But I think for the son, I think it's gonna be very important for them to have John Cojones involved.
I would like to see her half like 19 shots similar to Courtney Williams only played 32 minutes and on that one.
But yeah, I would like to see you're having at least double digit shots, not 19.
So we will see if Connecticut get tired.
I should be a fun serious, especially by tied up.
I think they could get that too, You know, all seven games it possible.
Um, last thing I want to jump on and just quickly discuss is the Vontaze perfect news.
This was gonna be like I said, a basketball completely basketball dedicated stream.
But, uh, then I heard the news this morning about Montez perfect likely being suspended for the rest of the year.
I think I'm reading in pro football talk right here.
But it was reported by in rap report that the league office will likely suspend perfect today for littering his helmet and hitting for his hit on Jack Doyle.
On last Sunday's win against the Colts, Perfect was suspended or was ejected from that game for his hit.
But you know what? He's a repeat offender.
He's been suspended multiple times.
Three illegal hits from 28 teens.
That drew, you know, find of overall over $150,000.
Um, didn't get suspended last year, But I think just being a repeat offender, I mean, you know, it's one thing to play hard, and you know, football is a violent game.
But when you're warned about something, you're continuously asked not to do something.
You continuously go against that because you feel you should play.
However you want one.
When this leak on this floor, you're trying to make a little bit safer for the next generation on.
You continue to play, however you want.
You continue to be malicious with how your hidden players Yeah, you know there's gonna be consequences for that. Don't get me wrong.
I love the game with a bow, and I love you know, the violence that comes with it.
You know, I was a defensive player when I played football.
My favorite part was hidden people, but there's a right way to do it.
And just knocking someone from helmet to helmet when they are unprotected and defenseless is not the way to go.
And they've repeatedly warned perfect for this.
And he continues just to not followed by those rules.
And I think this time you just gonna suburb or there's gonna be a huge consequence whether he wants to play anymore.
You know, I don't know if he goes like a bee round says he's down on the NFL because of this, because not happy.
I mean, obviously speculating on that.
But I think it's a possibility because there's a way he wants to play and there's and there's a way the NFL wants to play and his way is not worked out because constantly being reminded he's constantly being fine.
I don't know if he cares to be fun, because it's really not that much, probably for him, but there's got to be another consequence and I think there are other consequence.
Besides, just finding him with excessive amount of money has to be a suspension and I think the whole year I think it's suitable for him.
I think you've been warned and anything in life.
You know, when you're constantly reminded and warned about something not to dio and you continue to focus its rules, the punishment or the consequences get get harder.
So I think it makes sense to suspend him for the whole year.
I don't think he's the guy who's gonna learn his lesson after just a few games.
Um, I personally thought I was gonna be, like, 10 games or something that he might be suspended.
I didn't think I was gonna be the whole year, but I think I think it's very suitable for him.
I think if I'm not mistaken, he's on a one year contract with the Raiders, I could be wrong.
But you know, this is his year with the Raiders might be cut short because of his actions, because he could continue to hit defensive players when they're not looking and maliciously like helmet the helmet like Come on, man.
I mean, what are you trying to do? You are you Are you really trying to knock his head? All I know, I know you want to make big hits and stuff.
And I know you're trying to make tackles to make sure he goes down.
Because in this day and age, we've seen pointing people escape, uh, arm tackles way.
We've seen plenty of people escape guys.
He wrapped him up.
But, man, how? Linda Hammond? I mean, I just feel like that's just I mean, if it were anybody else like we saw Jonathan Jones, we he was How much time I hit you? Josh Allen.
He apologized. He said he's gonna check in on the Bills quarterback.
But as malicious as it was and how by one as it wasn't knocked him out, It looks like, you know, we're not looking at him like, Oh, he's like a super biwa player.
You know, he plays the game the wrong way, at least not from the outside perspective.
I don't know how other NFL players feel about him, but because he's only done it once.
We've only seen that that taking place once by him, we're not looking at him like that and he seal he feels like he's sorry for his actions, but, like perfect, like at this point, Sorry, that's just not gonna cut it.
You've done it so many times.
How can you? You know, How can we believe that You're sorry when you're continuing to do the same thing over and over.
This is his first year with the writers.
It looks like it could be cut short if he is suspended.
I think it depends on independent arbitrators and how they feel.
Um, but we'll see.
Uh, we'll see if they agree with league.
I think the lead at this point, it's just like, get this guy out of here are making more his lessons because he I feel like he needs it.
Uh, and see, yeah, I signed a one year, $5 million contract that was one and only season with the Raiders.
Might be cut short after four games. Wow.
So I will see what happens.
I'm sure they'll make a decision at some point this week.
It could be even be later today.
I don't know if it says on the year also spend perfect today.
Oh, so it will be ill will be later today.
I'm sure somebody else we'll touch out.
Um, if I'm able to come back on, I would definitely like to touch on and just to see what what the suspension really is.
You know, it's not solidified.
Anything you are solidified is not.
Ah has not been hand.
He's not been handed the Holy year yet for a suspension, but it looks like he's gonna be suspended.
And so in some fashion.
So, you know, I think it's good for the NFL.
I know that I know that football the sport has changed dramatically.
But, you know, we've seen what had happened to people after they play the game, and I think, you know, for the longevity of the sport and for people to continue to play at a high level.
There's gotta be some deductions and the type of hits that we're taking him, you know, and just from the other side, like like perfect that he could be hurt.
If he's not tapping the right way, he's lowering his head like that every single time.
It could mess up his net and then he's injured and that so it's not just for the defensive player.
It's also for guys were making the hits, you know, you never know how it's gonna end up so just for the safety of everybody.
I feel like it's best if perfect is suspended for the year.
And maybe he wanted just lesson.
Maybe he doesn't, um, But, you know, I feel like if he comes back and let's say he suspended and then he comes back again next year, it makes the same mistake or makes the same type of hit.
You know, at that point, you know, it might just be the end of his career.
I don't know if that's if he's willing to go down like that, you know, maybe he is.
But, you know, just lucky.
Lucky for every artist, for everybody else is saying I feel like it's best we, uh if he is suspended for the whole season.
I actually wanted to see you, actually, you know, talking about this and looking at the hit all over social media and everything, I don't think I've actually seen of status object.
I don't think he waas, you know, but let's see, uh, I don't think he waas so that's good to hear.
Object Oil is is okay.
No concussion or anything, So I know Josh Allen took a similar hit yesterday, and that pretty much it.
It ended his day because of the hit.
You took it like he was concussed.
It was like he was knocked out cold just from him, laying on the ground so much.
But it was good to see him walk off.
But just looking at him on parcels like he was well, uh, to stargaze a little bit because he looked like he was shipping, shaking up just a little bit.
So good to see that Jack the words.
Okay, maybe it wasn't that hard of a hit, you know, I don't know what perfect intentions or I'm sure it's not to hurt somebody.
Church is trying to make the biggest hit.
It's possible, which, you know, I've seen and understand from some person from some perspective, just Hamad al, but not a huge fan of it.
Not a huge fan of just injuring people because make an MBA reference here.
But you never want to see you Great players not playing, I'm not.
And I know Jack Doyle is a just a tight end.
Um, not maybe not even a lot of people are familiar with, But he's an NFL player.
He's made a name for himself with the Colts, and he's done something.
But but say that.
Perfect is somebody that is maybe, well, more, uh, more well known, more prominent.
And he and he is their entire season.
Or, you know, ended until a little bit into next season.
So it's just for the safety of everybody.
Now we obviously see like like Kevin Durant, for instance, in the MBA, he's obviously out with an Achilles injury after tearing his Achilles and that and the Finals like we're probably gonna see be without him the whole season.
Like Clay Thompson, we're probably gonna be without him, at least for most of season.
If not all of it like that.
Like, And that's not exciting like you want.
You want everybody to be a part of the season.
That's what makes all these four seasons so special.
In all these ah MBA, an NFL MLB.
It's what makes it so exciting to see, like everyone fully healthy and striving to achieve one goal.
So just for this, like I said, for the safety and the sake of everyone, I think I think it's good we'll see what the NFL hands him.
But that's all I have for you guys today.
I appreciate you guys.
Whoever tuned in uh, hopefully will come with a later life dream later this week.
Maybe talk some more, eh? NBA basketball.
We'll definitely talk some football. Week five.
I was streaming all day yesterday with with Lee five in my headliner.
So that's embarrassing because it was only week for But we will talk about Week five, which is upcoming this week.
The Rams and Seahawks boy. Thursday.
What should be a good one, man Hope Way should have some good games this upcoming week.
Uh, but for everyone eating and I appreciate you ever tuned in and join me for the Lifestream and I'll see you guys later have a good one.
